I don’t custom paint things often, but I’m trying my hand at custom painting a calico critter’s home I bought just recently!! I’m actually… really happy with it so far

I still need to paint the mortar between the bricks, fill in some spots and paint the brown parts on the windows and beams, but other than that I’ve made good headway!

She’s livin’ it up!

Mornin! Today's doll project is using museum wax to place all the lil items in this flowershop!

...as you can see it's a tad messy.

Lotsa little things that need help on this desk here.

Gave everything a dusting and a waxing and now it's right as rain! I'm sure mr skeleton enjoys having a tidy shop once again ^^

I have a bunch of lil skeleton houses and wish that I had the space to display them all in like.. a neighborhood type set up.

So far only the pink, black and flower shop houses have been waxed.

Impulsively made a new shop for the Addisons, incase they want to set one up in Castle Town.

Took me about 4 hours. At this point I refuse to make tiny little wares for it.

I might either sew some tiny Addison/Spamton dolls or ask my grandma to crochet them, but probably not, since they'd have to be the size of a thumb lol.

For an early birthday present my most excellent spouse got me a Delicious Restaurant! I've been working on it in my spare time this week to turn it into "Chez Marais". Next up, sanding and priming all the tiny accessories to make a swampy, goth patisserie!

Another customized Sylvanian Families house, this one for my washed up dark wizard bunny Hyden!

This one was a much bigger project than the rose-themed Rococo house I made for Ambroys. I’ve been chipping away at this thing for around two months. Phew!

If you’re curious as to what the building looked like prior to customization, as well as some notes about the project, see the pictures and extra info under the cut:

Most of the furniture was repainted or sourced from weird locations (check out the hand-painted books and tiny pile of skulls on the bookshelf), the thorny vines on the exterior had to be made by hand, and, as it turns out, the Creamy Gelato Shop I used as a base... had no door. I had to source another building’s door in a similar size from a spare parts seller and do some creative modifications on it to make it fit. Also, @kwillow​​  had the great idea to turn the inside into a flat wall with a giant portrait of himself (from his younger, handsomer years) hanging on it. Had a lot of fun with that bit!

Sweet lil skeleman doll plus bonus couch I made 👍 I'm not certain what the black body fabric is (it looks like a tough water-resistant cotton, generally speaking) but it was an absolute nightmare to sew with >:p Worth it to have a little skeleton friend around

for the victorian dollhouse (thats the design the kit comes with) i'm leaning most toward customizing it so it resembles this gorgeous villa in mangalore with inspiration from my grandparents' southeast asian art deco home in malaysia with all the teak wood furniture and pillars and the ornate window grates and the tiles... put some fake papaya trees up outside.... the FURNITURE...

Sylvanian/Calico Critters for 2024?

It's that time of the year when I make a Sylvanian wishlist! This year one of my wish came true with the lop bunnies family so I can remove them off my list!

What I want (and what I think, are possible for Epoch to make): -cavalier king charles épagneul dog -platipus -birman cats -bats -ermines (not the elusive white otters) -highland cows (I'm planning to make them one day, as they are kind of my ocs, but it would be nice to have real ones) -lion family (complete this time!) -we know turtles prototypes were made a long time ago, they can make them for real this time!

For the playsets I still want my librairy/bookshop, a tearoom, a crêpes shop and some nice outfits (maybe for jobs, or activities/sports...) and Please! No more baby stuff!

What about you?

Edit: I can't believe I forget them but what I want most are SPHYNX CATS!!!!

More dusting and waxing! This time I decided to do the big house ^^

This here is my Orchid 1/12th scale dollhouse. Its home to my picco neemo and picco danshi guys!

The actual owner of the Cottage is the lil green haired guy here. I dont have a name for him really but I know hes a half fae half human witchchild, he lives there with his two dogs and makes potions and remedies. The other two are clients turned friends of his one from the human realm and one from the fae realm. (They also dont have names cause I'm bad at that...)

But anywho on to cleaning!

Started with the second floor and got everything cleaned then stuck down. A while back I bought the entire case of the Witches house Rement sets that's where a lot of the decor came from. Look at this adorable lil mandrake!

Heres the upper floor all cleaned! It looks like I'm gonna have to make this two posts since I hit the image limit
