————————————————————————
Hongjoong: lets be real this man doesn’t leave the studio so the daddy daughter date would be in the studio but it would be in the practice room. His daughter goes to ballet classes she’s gonna be teaching him ballet moves. He would be embarrassed since someone could walk in but he had fun seeing how talented his daughter is.
Seonghwa: he screams picnics, he would dress her up too in a pretty dress with a cardigan, and he would make food, also bringing along little toys and art supplies for them to play with. He would chase his daughter around the park, hearing her little giggles bring him life frr.
Yunho: doing gamer yunho agenda, he would do arcade dates with his daughter. Winning so many tickets for her and playing the little claw machines not giving up until he gets his little girl a stuffed animal from there. Initially leaving the place with 5 new stuffed animals.
Yeosang: he’s a classy man.. little cafe dates, but not just any cafe, the cat cafe. Having matching outfits is a must for daddy daughter dates. It’s just comfort for the both, petting kitty’s after a long week.
San: a dinner.. he would get fancy, buy his daughter a fancy dress basically act posh… but wait, they would go out and eat fast food, or go to a Diner. They would be the only ones in fancy clothing at the place.
Mingi: he just screams amusement parks, and carnivals. Going on rides, winning prizes for her and stuffing each other’s face in cotton candy and junk food. They would get tummy aches the next day but it was worth it for the both of them.
Wooyoung: Tea party’s. your daughter would force him to wear one of your dresses and sip pretend tea. At first he would hate it but .5 seconds later he’s feeling himself in the dress and crown gossiping with his daughter.
Jongho: He would take your daughter shopping, spoiling her since he’s “her little girl” and only daughter. He would buy her dresses and get matching necklaces and maybe pick up something for you as a surprise.

𝐩𝐚𝐢𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 : dad!mingi x black!fem!reader
author’s note: i apologize in advance for the amount of baby content you guys are about to see. my baby fever has been through the roof
ss ➜ in which mingi spends a day with his daughter alone, for the first time in a while. just a daddy-daughter day : p
“mingi,” you pat your husband’s shoulder. he stirred around a bit, but you received no response.
“mingi.” you repeated, more sternly this time. you shook his shoulder causing him to hum.
“gi, i’m leaving.”
“mhm.” he shifted against the pillow, eyes still not opening.
“jordyns’ in her room, babe. make sure she eats something in time. and you too; get something to eat.” you grabbed your things, heading for the door and stopping to look back at mingi’s dormant form.
a few seconds passed by before he gave you another hum, and fell back into his dreams.
you shook your head, smiling and headed for the door.
mingi awoke to a small figure climbing on to him, arms wrapped around his neck.
“bubba? what are you doing awake?” his voice came out groggy as he brought a hand up to rub the sleep out of his eye.
“daddy, it’s morning.” jordyn said, answering his question.
“right..” he mumbled.
he brought a hand down to her small back, rubbing circles as he tightly embraced her. the two year old nuzzled her face into her father’s chest, still trying to wake up.
mingi continued his mini massage, occasionally kissing jordyn’s forehead until she lifted her head.
“daddy, i’m hungry.” she pouted slightly, sitting up all the way this time. mingi cooed at her expression, now noticing that he needed something in his belly as well.
he rubbed his stomach, trying to calm the growling and gurgling, “me too.. let’s go make something, yeah?”
jordyn nodded, climbing off of the bed and running to the door. mingi sat up slowly, eyes still adjusting to the bright room.
she urged her puffy-eyed father to move faster, hunger pains starting to irritate her. mingi just chuckled, walking over by the door and scooping her up in his arms.
now standing in the kitchen, mingi decided to make one of jordyn’s favorites; pancakes.
“daddy, where’s mama?” she spoke in her small voice, pout visible in her tone.
“she’s at work, baby,” he cooed at her once again, feeling empathetic towards the girl. “it’ll just be you and daddy today, okay?”
she nodded slowly, eyes turning back to her show on the tv. mingi finished cooking, bringing her plate to the table and pouring juice for the both of them.
he sat next to jordyn, both of them digging into their plates. jordyn hummed in approval at the pancakes.
“is it good, mama?” mingi laughed at her expression. she nodded, going back in for about two more bites.
the dishes were settled in the sink, mingi sat on the couch with jordyn next to him, playing with her toys. he scrolled through his phone for some time before it began to ring with an incoming facetime call.
“jojo, hi!” wooyoung beamed on the other side of the screen. jordyn’s attention was taken away from her activities as she grinned at the sight of her uncle.
“uncle youngie!” she let out a tiny gasp, wooyoung responding with an ‘awe’.
seonghwa joined in, taking the phone away from wooyoung. him and mingi chatted for some time, while wooyoung and jordyn made faces at each other through the screen.
“so, what do you plan on doing for today?” seonghwa asked mingi.
“nothing really, i might stop by the studio. or maybe me and jojo’ll get some lunch.” he shrugged, running a hand through his disheveled strands. hwa nodded as they continued to talk, sharing thoughts on different topics and family life.
after hanging up, mingi decided that him and his daughter would actually be productive. him and jordyn went upstairs to her room, choosing to get her ready first.
he dug through her drawer and closet until he found something that fit for the cloudy weather. he got her dressed and moved to her hair.
now, mingi wasn’t an expert but he had seen you do your daughter’s hair so many times so he had an idea of what to put in it.
he sat her in his lap, applying the curling cream you bought for her. with her being mixed, her curls could either get really loose or really tight. he rubbed the product together and then applied it all over her head.
he brushed through it gently, having zero intentions on hurting his baby. he sprayed a bit of water before throwing her hair back up into a messy ponytail.
mingi now hustled down the steps of your home, bag and toddler in his hands. he grabbed his keys, making sure he had everything before heading out the door.
he opened the door to his black vehicle, placing jordyn in her seat. he made sure everything was buckled before he made his way to the drivers side.

“Appa!” Ha-Joon excitedly calls out to her father from her Uncle Yunho's shoulders. The kind-hearted giant gently lifts her off his shoulders and places her on the ground, while Hongjoong turns around upon hearing his daughter's familiar voice. His eyes widen with surprise as she rushes towards him. As soon as she reaches him, he scoops her up in his arms, showering her with hugs and kisses. The three-year-old bursts into giggles.
"I'll give you some alone time," Yunho says, wanting to give the little family some space.
"Thank you, Yunho," Y/N expresses her gratitude and walks over to her husband as he leaves to go back to the rest of the guys.
“Isn’t this a pleasant surprise,” Hongjoong smiles, greeting her with a kiss. “I thought you couldn’t get time off work?”
“I managed to find someone to cover for me,” she tells him. “I just have to get you all to sign her daughter’s album.” She pats her handbag, letting him know she’s got it with her.
“We can do that,” he smiles and kisses her once more. "I've missed both of you," he says, playfully tickling their daughter. Ha-Joon lets out loud giggles as she squirms in his arms.
“We miss-” Y/N's words are abruptly interrupted by Wooyoung’s loud high-pitched voice, echoing through the auditorium as he calls out to their daughter.
“JJoon-ie! Kim Ha-Joon-ie!”
Ha-Joon claps her hands in delight, unable to contain her excitement at seeing her favourite uncle. She loves and adores all her uncles and has a very special bond with them, but there is something extra special about her bond with Wooyoung, which earned him the title of godfather much to the others’ dismay.
“Uncle Youngie!” she shouts back to him as she scrambles out of her father's arms and runs towards her favourite uncle.
“You couldn’t wait five more minutes?” Hongjoong says, annoyed.
“I’ll give her back in an hour or two,” he says and walks away. “Say bye to Eomma and Appa!”
“Bye, Appa, Eomma!” Ha-Joon waves her tiny hand at her parents over Wooyoung’s shoulder as they disappear behind the stage.
“I should text Seonghwa to make sure they don’t get into too much trouble,” Hongjoong says pulling out his phone and sending a message to right hand man.
“I’m sure they’ll be fine,” she tries to reassure her husband who did this every time Wooyoung looks after their little girl.
"You know how mischievous they can be," Hongjoong replies, his worry evident in his voice.
"I know, but he loves her just as much as we do," she says, trying to ease his concerns. "He always makes sure she's safe and doesn’t get into too much trouble."
“I should also tell them not to eat too much candy. I don’t want her having a sore stomach like last time,” he adds.
“Baby,” she says taking his face in her hands and making focus on her and not his phone. “They’ll be fine.”
Hongjoong nods, reluctantly accepting her reassurance, but he can't help but worry. Being a father has made him more protective than ever.
“You’re right,” he sighs. “How have you been? Has the sickness eased off yet? Has Eomma been helping?” he questions placing a hand on her lower stomach, feeling the small bump that’s now forming.
Hongjoong feels bad that he can’t be with her during this time. After almost missing the birth of his daughter he vowed never to miss any of his other children’s births. Her being pregnant at the start of their tour meant he had more of a chance at being home for this one’s birth. But still, it didn’t make him feel any better that he was missing appointments, feeling and watching her bump form and being there for her during this time.
“It’s eased off a lot. I’m still a little nauseous. Eomma has been wonderful. She’s practically living at our house, helping with the chores, looking after Ha-Joon, making sure we have plenty of food and are eating well,” she assures him. “Your brother has even stopped by a few times to take Ha-Joon to the park.”
“I hate that I can’t be there,” he says with a mix of emotions.
"We're managing, don't worry," she attempts to reassure him again.
"But I do worry," he admits, his voice filled with longing. "I want to be there for every moment. I want to hold your hand during the ultrasounds and see our little moving about,” he continues, taking one of your hands in his. “I want see our child grow inside you and feel him kick for the first time."
She reaches out and takes his hand, giving it a reassuring squeeze. "I know, Hongjoong. I want you there too, but we knew this was a possibility. And it’s okay. You’re doing what you love, and I support you all the way."
He nods, understanding her words but still feels a pang of guilt. "I just don't want you to feel like you’re alone and like I'm not there for you."
She smiles softly, eyes filled with nothing but love. “I have never felt that way. And I’m not alone. We have an amazing support system back home and even though we’re not physically together while you’re away, you’ve always been there for me."
“When you go back home, I want photos and videos every day. I want to see the bump grow, I want to see the ultrasounds and everything I’m missing while I’m not there,” he tells her.
“I can do that,” she smiles, feeling herself get emotional.
“Good,” he hugs her and kisses the side of her head. Letting her go, he says, “I think it’s been an hour.”
Confused, she looked at the time, seeing that only 10 minutes had passed. “It’s only been 10 minutes.”
“Wooyoung can look after her later,” he says wrapping an arm around her shoulders and leads her out of the auditorium. “Right now, I want to be with both my girls.” '

bingo | park seonghwa
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
word count: 1.8k
genre: angst + fluff, single dad!seonghwa x reader
warnings: brief mention of hwa's ex partner not being in their daughter's life
author's note: after seeing seonghwa on that one show with kids i literally cannot get dad!teez out of my head
it's been almost a month? since you've started going out with seonghwa. he was a great guy, a little older than you and was always a gentleman to you, what more could you ask for? at this point, you were waiting for seonghwa to make it official but there was just something that was holding him back. you didn't know what it was but you trusted that with time he'll tell you.
tonight, was another date night and even after all these days you still got nervous before each one. it was no different when you arrived at seonghwa's house fiddling with the hem of your cardigan.
hesitantly, you knocked on the door to reveal a disheveled looking seonghwa. his usually slicked back hair wasn't done and a few buttons on his shirt were open.
"hi," seonghwa breathes out, a tired smile on his face.
"are you okay, hwa?" you ask almost instantly, concern taking over before you notice a tiny figure waddling up behind him. big doe eyes looking up at you from behind his legs, "oh hello!"
"yeojin, go into your room really quickly. appa will be there in a second." seonghwa softly asks, the exhaustion evident in his voice. "come in, i'm so sorry. just give me a minute, things have been...chaotic."
"oh no worries." you respond empathetically, taking note of how many toys and coloring books were scattered all over the place. so he has a child? is he divorced?
before too many questions popped into your mind, seonghwa immediately began talking as he began to pick up the scattered toys. "i'm so sorry about the mess. i had to stay at the office a little longer and then i picked up yeojin late and i just haven't had time to clean up and then our babysitter canceled last minute and now-"
"hey, hey," you interrupt before seonghwa combusts from being overwhelmed. to ease the burden, you also begin to pick up the toys around the living room after you placed a hand on his back. "it's okay. don't worry about it. there's always tomorrow seonghwa."
"i know, i know but-wait. you're not mad or disgusted?" the man stops in his tracks looking at you perplexed.
"i'm a little surprised if i'm being honest. i know taking care of a child is hard and by yourself i assume is even harder. your kid is more important than anything in the world, missing one date won't kill me hwa."
seonghwa was standing still, not a sound coming out his mouth which was beginning to freak you out. did you say the wrong thing? is seonghwa yeojin's dad or? "seonghwa?"
"sorry, i'm just a little shocked. not a lot of people are very happy when they find out they've been going out with a single dad." seonghwa lightly jokes trying to ease the tension in the air. "thank you though. it means a lot. really."
"of course," you smile at him.
a door opens to reveal a tiny yeojin peeking out from what you presumed to be her room.
"hey bubba, what's up." seonghwa asks, his voice becoming much softer.
she doesn't say much but instead pads over to the coffee table and attaches herself to her dad. "can we draw?"
"of course bubs. let appa go get the markers."
"i can get them." you say faster than seonghwa gets up to which he directs you over to one of the drawers in the living room.
upon your arrival, seonghwa has a bluey coloring book out for yeojin. crutching down to reach the table, you gasp softly at the blue dog. "is that bluey?"
yeojin nods her head shyly, a small smile appearing on her face as seonghwa looks up at you in surprise.
"ahh, i love bluey! who's your favorite character?" you ask watching yeojin point to the smaller, light colored dog.
"bingo?" yeojin nods again, her smile growing even bigger. "no way, i like her too!"
seonghwa watched the two of you converse in awe and he swears he couldn't have fallen more in love with you. it was always a gamble bringing up the fact that he had a kid to his dates and lately he's been ghosted more times than he can count. maybe that's why seonghwa took so long to talk about yeojin. although, he would never admit it, you had him wrapped your finger and he was scared to lose you.
so far though, you were taking his little "surprise" or "fun fact" about him better than he thought you would. still, he was worried what you would say when yeojin left the room. would you be mad at him? dump him on the spot? ghost him after tonight? he's never had one of his flings (?) ever meet yeojin because they all left at the mention of a kid. to say seonghwa was terrified of your reaction was a massive understatement.
"seonghwa?" you ask, pulling the dad out of his thoughts. "yeojin wants to watch bluey."
"right." he answers, gently removing yeojin from his lap as he goes to scrounge for the remote in his unusually disorganized apartment.
while seonghwa looks for the remote, you continue to converse with yeojin about bluey which was the show you ironically watched during dinner time. hey, there's actually plot and messages in the show okay?
by the time seonghwa returned, the two of you were in a deep conversation about some episode regarding bingo and bluey playing pretend with their grandad. almost immediately, yeojin eye's become glued to the screen as soon her dad puts on the kid's show leaving you and seonghwa to talk amongst each other.
"so, you know bluey?" seonghwa asks, a teasing tone to his voice.
an embarrassed laugh slips past your lips, "uh yeah, sounds silly but i watch it as background noise, you know?"
"i'm not judging," he pauses, "just surprised."
"yeah, i like the accents." you say in a panic causing seonghwa to smile, "so, um i don't mean to pry but i assume yeojin's yours?"
the smile slowly fades on his face as seonghwa feels the guilt build in his stomach. "yeah, her, uh mom isn't in the picture anymore."
"oh, i'm so sorry to hear that."
"it's fine now, it's better without her." seonghwa looks down at his hands trying to distract himself from the thoughts about the past.
"oh."
there was a beat of silence where the both of you didn't dare to look at each other, too afraid to make things weird. only the faint conversations of the tv and the sounds of the marker on paper were heard.
"look, i'm really sorry for dumping all this on you." seonghwa gestures to an oblivious yeojin. "i know you probably weren't expecting a child tonight or any of this really. i completely understand if you don't want to talk again or you need space. whatever you want, i'll do."
"it's okay,"
"i-you're not mad?" seonghwa asks in shock.
"i mean i'm not mad. i understand not bringing up a daughter on the first date. but i'm just a little disappointed you didn't tell me sooner." you confess.
"i didn't want to lose you."
"seonghwa-"
"i was trying to plan the perfect time to talk about yeojin but i just got so swamped with everything that time slipped through my fingers and you had to find out in such a shitty way."
your eyes dart towards a sleepy yeojin on seonghwa's lap at the curse word. even he jumps a little at his realization and then calms down when he realized that his baby girl was almost knocked out in his lap.
"would you have told me before we made things official?" you ask, testing the waters about how serious you could go tonight with the questions.
"yes. most definitely yes. i couldn't just ask you to be my partner and then surprise you that i have a whole child that i've been hiding from you."
interesting. so was he going to tell you about yeojin soon? was he going to make things official?
seonghwa could see the gears turning in your head at his words. "it sounds hypocritical now but trust me i really wanted you two to meet. i just-i really like you y/n."
you go quiet. processing everything he was saying. from what he was saying there was a very very high chance he wants you to be his like officially his but even if he actually wanted to make things official, he has a whole child. a child without a mother. were you really ready to take on the responsibility to be one? or anything similar to that role?
being with seonghwa meant much more than just being together and loyal to one another. being honest, you didn't mind yeojin. so far you got along great with her but a single interaction and convo won't predict the future of your relationship with her. it's a lot definitely but-
"y/n," seonghwa softly says pulling you out from your daze, "i'll be right back i'm gonna put yeojin down in her room."
you hum in response, letting your thoughts consume you once more.
your brain was beginning to ache because of how much you were thinking but one thing was for certain. you really liked seonghwa. enough that you were willing to accept everything that came with him - including yeojin.
you reminded yourself that dating seonghwa didn't mean automatically becoming a parent all of a sudden. he wasn't asking that of you. probably won't for a long time. he wants you for you. it's just a bonus you got along with yeojin so far.
there was a soft click of the door closing that made you turn your head. you look over to see seonghwa awkwardly make his way over to you, uncertainty written all over his face.
"i'm sorry for going quiet on you." you apologize, fingers toying with the hem of your cardigan once more. "i was just thinking."
a quiet laugh escapes seonghwa, "it's okay, don't worry about it. i'm sure tonight was a lot. but-"
"listen, seonghwa," oh here it comes. the "i'm so sorry, i don't think this will work out anymore". "i don't know what your plans were for us but regardless of what happened tonight, i want to be more. i know you having a whole kid might make things difficult or a little confusing but, i'm willing to try with you."
seonghwa felt his heart drop and then pick back up again when you finished talking. he didn't know what to say. he was grateful, excited, but most of all relived.
"so, how does another date this thursday night," seonghwa pauses, trying to not choke on his words, "as mine sound?"
"are you finally asking me to be your partner, park seonghwa?" you smile. it's finally happening.
"yes." seonghwa breathes out, truly terrified of your answer.
"then yes, i would love to." you answer, wrapping your arms around seonghwa's neck.
"sounds good then my love." seonghwa mumbles, his heart racing and his head buzzing from the overwhelming night but it didn't matter to him.
you were finally his.

BABY DADDIES ... one - shot
pairing : wooyoung x f!reader x san
genre : fluff, parent au, established poly relationship
word count : 1.6k
warnings : language, y/n wears glasses, mentions of being pregnancy
suffering tag : @sanjoongie this isn't your official birthday present that might be late so please except this while i try to get it done
you couldn't imagine a life without your two daughters and their wonderful fathers who have been with you through the ups and downs of your life.
Tumblr media
"what's wrong, mimi?" wooyoung's voice is hushed and groggy as you hear him speak to your five year-old daughter. you can hear miyeon reply to him, but you're too far into dreamland to fully understand what she is saying.
you feel the bed move as you assume wooyoung gets up in order to help miyeon with whatever issue was wrong. you can't help the shiver that rolls over your body once he's gone, and you're quick to turn over in order to snuggle closer into san.
san seems to welcome your closeness, as he is quick to wrap his arms around you and hold you close to him. your head resting against his chest as he tucks you into him, his own head resting on yours. his warmth encased you and quickly lulled you back into full dreamland.
you're not sure when wooyoung returns to bed, but you remember hearing him grumble in your ear about how you're a traitor as he wraps his arms around you. you're pretty sure he only called you a traitor because of how you latched onto san to steal his warmth.
"momma!" a high-pitched voice is how you wake up along with the bed shifting and jolting as two small bodies jump on it.
"momma, wake up!" another equally as high voice say. you hear a small chorus of laughter as you open you eyes to see both your daughters, miyeon and jimin looking at you with large smiles.
"papa made breakfast! it's time to get up!" miyeon said as they watched you sit up with a groan. running a hand through your hair as you tried your best to tame your bedhead.
"well, good morning to you both as well," you say with a groggy laugh making them laugh as well.
"appa told us to come wake you up," jimin said as you leaned over to give her and her sister a good morning kiss.
"by jumping into bed?"
"no," a deeper voice says before either girl could answer. you three turn to see san coming into the bedroom, still in his pajamas and glasses perched on his nose. "i told them to come and wake you up nicely," he adds tickling both girls as he comes to his side of the bed.
san is quick to lean over to give you a kiss before he's standing up straight and picking jimin up and swinging her around. the five year-old lets out a high pitched squeal before he's setting her down. miyeon stands on the bed waiting for san to do the same thing and he smiles at her before mimicking what he did to her sister.
"go help papa with setting the table you two," he says and both nod before racing out of the room. once they're gone, san turns to you and gives you a warm smile as he watches you pull your hair away from your face and reaching for your glasses.
"good morning, beautiful," he says once you get out of bed and presses a kiss to your forehead before he's following you out of the bedroom.
"how long have you all been up?" you ask, worried that you might have slept in for too long.
"just an hour, darling," san answers, "woo and i wanted to let you sleep in, but the girls wanted to have pancakes for breakfast."
you let out a small, excited gasp at the sound of pancakes before the smell of them finally filled your nostrils. san laughed as he watched you hurry down the hallway and into the kitchen. your boyfriend couldn't help but smile at how your excitement matched both of your daughters when pancakes are mentioned.
you come into the kitchen to see miyeon and jimin already at the table eating. miyeon doing a small dance in her seat as she eats. wooyoung runs his hand over his daughter's head, laughing before leaning down and kissing her. he places her cup of juice in front of her before doing the same thing to jimin.
"good morning, youngie," you say when he walks back into the kitchen, a smile on your face as you both share a quick kiss.
"morning, love," he says back as he goes back to paying attention to the pancakes. you wrap your arms around wooyoung's waist, cheek against his shoulder blade as you both wait for the food to get done.
"why did mimi get up last night?" you ask after the two of you stood in silence, listening to the twins talking and singing at the table. san had come in after you, sitting with the twins to make sure they didn't make too big of a mess.
"she got up to use the potty and lost her dolly underneath her bed," he says and you let out a small hum.
"you're such an amazing dad," you say and wooyoung can't help but feel his heart skip a beat at your words.
"thank you, love, i wouldn't be here if it wasn't for you," he says back, letting his hand come and rest over your own. he gives your hand a small squeeze. "both you and sannie," he adds turning to look at you with a smile. "your pancakes are ready," he says before handing you your plate of pancakes.
wooyoung laughed as he watched your eyes light up as you did a little dance before walking over to the table to join miyeon, jimin, and san. a few minutes later, wooyoung finally joined you all with his and san's plates.
after breakfast was over, wooyoung sent jimin and miyeon into the living room to play while you three cleaned up.
"here," you begin, stopping wooyoung from standing up, "i'll do the dishes," you add before taking his plate from him. however, before you could get a step in, san took the plates from you. "hey!"
"don't worry about the dishes, babe, i got them," he says before walking over to the sink. you let out a small 'ugh' sound before trailing behind him and standing next to him by the sink.
"no, let me do them," you say, turning the water on and beginning to rinse the syrup off the plates.
"y/n," san says looking at you pointedly, "you've worked hard these past few days. let me do it," he says.
"i'll wash, you dry."
"i'll wash, you dry," he says and you give him a small frown before switching places with him. wooyoung couldn't help but smile at you two continuing to lightly bicker with each other as you wash dishes.
"san, stop! the girls are sleeping," you say, swatting your boyfriend's hands away as he attempts to grab and tickle at your sides. san can't help the hearty laugh that leaves his lips before he's finally grabbing and dragging you closer to him on the couch. he presses a trail of kisses down your neck before blowing a raspberry into your skin. "ugh! san!"
"sorry, couldn't help it," he says before he's trapping you between his legs. you let out a sigh as you relax against him, his hands resting under your shirt on your stomach. his thumb softly rubbing your skin. "i haven't held you like this in a while," he says, voice just as soft as his touch. "i think the last time was when you were pregnant with the girls."
"i think you're right," you say, remembering how san held you like this when you pregnant with miyeon and jimin.
you three were still in your old shared apartment and you were six months pregnant with the girls. you and san had also just gotten into an argument earlier that day, neither one of you speaking to each other for hours. even when the clock hit six o'clock and it was time for what san and wooyoung decided to call their "bonding time" with the girls.
you didn't want to look at san, completely ignoring him despite you resting between his legs and his arms wrapped around you. you ended up not speaking until wooyoung got home an hour later to find you asleep in san's arm.
when you woke up you couldn't even tell wooyoung what you and san got into an argument over.
"you were pretty short-tempered when pregnant," san joked, bring you out of your thoughts.
"yeah..." you say softly, feeling a little guilty for how you would lash out at both of them over the littlest things. you would often feel embarrassed about it afterwards and you were thankful that both your boyfriends were understanding of what you were going through. "i'm sorry about that," you say, fiddling with his fingers.
"hey, don't apologize. i honestly deserved all those times you yelled at me," he said, pressing a kiss to your cheek. "wooyoung definitely did," he added making you laugh as well.
"hey now, don't talk about me while i'm not here to defend myself," wooyoung says as he enters the room. he gives both you and san a kiss before he settling next to you both on the couch. you immediately rest your feet in his lap, smiling when he shoots you a playful glare.
you laugh at his expression before you're opening your arms out for him, and wooyoung immediately moves to squish you between him and san. wooyoung rests his head against your chest, arms going and wrapping around both you and san. the three of you lay in together in a comfortable silence, both their breathing and heartbeats lulling you to sleep.
the last thing you thought before falling asleep was how thankful you were to meet and fall in love with both wooyoung and san. knowing that you would never change this for anything in the world.

you
"Mommy?" Your daughter tightened her grip on your hand as you walked home from preschool. You hummed in response, looking down at her. "Why is it just you and me?" she asked, furrowing her brow.
"What do you mean, Nari?" your daughter paused; her big eyes filled with fear. "You know you can tell Mommy everything," you added when she hesitated.
"Why don't I have a dad like my friends?" she finally asked. Your heart dropped. You knew this day would come when Nari would start comparing her family to others, but you were unprepared for the moment. You had never discussed Jongho with Nari; the last thing you wanted was for her to hate him for his absence. She had never asked before, so you had hoped that the time would never come when she would become curious about her dad. But as she grew older and started to understand the world around her, you knew that this question was inevitable.
What you did instead of talking about Jongho, you introduced Nari to ATEEZ. Since she was little, you would play their songs, and she grew up dancing in your arms to them. You two would spend time together, sitting in front of the television and watching their shows. With every episode, every song, and every interview, her admiration for the band continued to grow. It was a shared experience, one that brought you both closer together, and her love for the band grew right along with her. What made everything better was that Nari's favorite member of ATEEZ was Wooyoung. You couldn't help but think about how disappointed Jongho would be if he ever found out. His own daughter had chosen another member as her favorite. It was a thought that often brought a smile to your face.
You never once resented Jongho for choosing his music career over you. You understood that he was born to be on stage, to pour his soul into his music. Your heart was shattered when you two parted ways, but then you discovered you were pregnant with Nari. You knew then that you had to be strong and that you had to be the best mom possible for her. It was challenging, especially when she was born and bore such a striking resemblance to Jongho. It played with your emotions sometimes.
You knelt to meet her gaze. Her round face, sweet cheeks, and hazel-brown eyes each time reminded you of the man you once loved.
"Nari, your daddy is really busy," you began, unsure of how to continue the conversation. "But Mommy is sure he loves you very much," you reassured as you smoothed her hair, attempting to smile. "I know your friends' daddies are around." You tried to keep your voice steady, swallowing the lump in your throat. "Just because he's not here, doesn't mean he doesn't love you," you told her, seeking to comfort both her and you.
With a certain sadness in her eyes, she expressed her wishes, "I'd really like it if he wasn’t so busy all the time," she complained. As she pouted, a wave of empathy washed over you, causing your heart to break for her.
"I know, baby," you whispered, your voice barely audible as you fought to control the emotion threatening to overwhelm you. "Do you want me to tell you more about your daddy?" you asked softly, ready to share the stories of you two. Nari nodded, and a smile finally appeared on her pretty face. ‘’Alright so we will buy you your favorite ice cream and you can ask whatever you want, how does this sound?’’ Without uttering a word, Nari gently nodded and stretched out her hand towards you. Accepting her silent invitation, you felt the warmth of her delicate fingers in yours. As you walked hand in hand, you could see the excitement in her eyes as she pulled you in the direction of her most adored destination - her favorite local ice cream store.
Entering the store, you ordered the ice cream and chose a seat next to the window. A sense of nervousness washed over you at the thought of speaking so openly about Jongho after all those years. But you knew deep down, it was time to face it. You took a deep breath, staring out the window as you waited for your order. The streets were busy with people going about their day. The ice cream arrived, a sweet distraction, but it did nothing to quell the anxiety churning in your stomach. You picked up your spoon and took the first bite, letting the familiar taste flood your senses.
"Tell Mommy, what do you want to know?" you finally asked, breaking the silence that had fallen over the small store. You held your breath, waiting for her reply, bracing yourself for the questions that were bound to come from your curious four-year-old. Nari thought for a moment, her small brow furrowing in concentration.
"Everything," she finally said, her voice soft, eyes sparkling with curiosity. "I want to know everything." You chuckled at her response; it was moments like these that made motherhood such an incredible journey. You took her small hand in yours,
"I met your dad at a coffee shop," you started, your voice filled with nostalgia."It was a warm summer afternoon, just like today. He walked in, and when I saw him, it was as if time had stopped for that moment."
Nari was thoroughly enjoying her lemon ice cream as she continued to savor her treat, she curiously glanced over at you. She wondered if her dad also shared her love for this dessert. With a playful smile still smeared on her ice cream-covered lips, she asked, "Did he order ice cream?"
You giggled at her question, "No, I think he ordered an iced americano." You remember the day as if it was yesterday. Jongho had ordered and chose to sit at the furthest table possible. You were sitting close to the cash desk, stealing glances at him sometimes, admiring him. He was writing something in a big notebook, so engrossed that he didn't hear the barista calling him to pick up his order. So, you decided to test your luck and brought his coffee to him. As you approached him, your heart pounded in your chest. It was as though you could hear it echoing throughout the quiet café. You set the coffee down gently on his table, not wanting to disturb his concentration. Startled, he looked up and locked eyes with you. His eyes were warm and inviting, a soft 'thank you' escaping his lips. You returned the sentiment with a shy smile, not trusting yourself to say anything.
"Why would he order coffee when he could have an ice cream?" Nari asked, finding it strange that someone would choose coffee over ice cream.
"Your dad is a little bit different, Nari," you said, smiling gently. "He really loved his coffee. He said it helped him think and focus. But don't worry, he loved ice cream too. Just like you, he had a sweet tooth."
"Will Daddy buy me ice cream next time?" she asked as she was finishing her dessert.
"I'm sure he would love to," you replied, smiling at her. "One day, if he's not too busy, I'm sure he'll take you to get ice cream. Would you like that?" Nari nodded eagerly, her eyes lighting up at the prospect. Just the thought of spending a day with her dad made her heart flutter with joy. You knew what needed to happen next. You had to create an opportunity for her to meet Jongho. Even though it might hurt, Nari should meet her dad at least once. Her happiness was most important. You knew you needed to put your own feelings aside for her. This next step might be hard and painful, but as her mom, you knew it was what you should do.
"Then Mommy will make sure Daddy will take you next time," you promised, your heart aching at the hopeful look in her eyes. You would do whatever it took to give her the happiness she deserved.
On your way back home, you felt a sense of relief wash over you. This heartfelt conversation with Nari had helped clear your mind. Finally talking about the man, you loved brought you a strange sense of nostalgia, yet you also felt content. After all these years, you have finally been able to share your story, your feelings, and your past with your daughter. It was as if a burden you didn’t even know you were carrying had been lifted from your shoulders. The walk home was peaceful, the cool evening breeze brushing against your face as the last rays of the setting sun painted the sky in hues of pink and orange.
In no time, you reached your apartment complex. Nari was running around the playground with the neighbor's puppy chasing after her. She was the sweetest creature. She was fascinated by the world, loved animals, and her soul was just so pure. You felt an immense amount of happiness to be her mom.
"Grandma!" Nari exclaimed, her face lighting up with sheer joy the moment she spied her grandma approaching from a distance. Upon arrival, your mother warmly greeted Nari with a tender embrace. After a moment, they both made their way over to where you were standing. You were taken aback, surprised to see your mother in your presence without any prior notice.
With a puzzled expression, you turned towards her and asked, "Mom, why didn't you tell me you were coming?"
"I wanted to see you and Nari," your mother admitted, her voice warm. You could see the sincerity in her eyes. You could feel the lump forming in your throat as you listened to her. It was a comforting reassurance, knowing you weren't alone in this. "And I hoped I would be welcomed for dinner," she said with a playful tone in her voice while gently placing Nari on the ground. A glint of laughter shone in her eyes.
"Absolutely," you responded, your smile wide and welcoming. The sincerity in your voice was enough to assure her that the invitation was genuine. You reached down and took one of Nari's small hands in yours, feeling the softness of her tiny fingers against your palm. Your mom mirrored your action, reaching for Nari's other hand, her fingers wrapping around the little one's hand with a natural gentleness. For a moment, the three of you stood there, a small, connected chain, silent and content in each other's company. Then, with Nari's laughter filling the air around you, you all began to move, making your way to your small apartment. The moment was simple, yet filled with a warmth that spoke of familiarity, of home.
You finally reached your floor and stepped into the comforting familiarity of your apartment. As the door closed behind you, a wave of relief washed over you. This was your sanctuary, your escape from the hustle and bustle of the outside world. Your apartment was small, with one room occupied by Nari, and a combined living room and kitchen where you also slept. The bathroom was big enough to fit a bathtub and a washing machine. It was far from perfect, but nobody truly knows how hard it is to be a single mom, barely making ends meet, especially when you were still so young. Sometimes, you felt ashamed of the way you lived your life, as you wanted Nari to grow up in a better place, a home with a beautiful garden and a seesaw. But you could barely afford this apartment, buying a new house was never an option. So, you took a lot of care to ensure that your apartment was always neat and clean. Every item had its own place, and there was a sense of order and tranquility that pervaded the space.
You found Nari, tired yet excited from the day's activities, eagerly awaiting your attention. With gentle hands and a warm smile, you took her to her room and helped her change into more comfortable clothes. Nari’s room was everything she had ever dreamed of. It was her own little wonderland that mirrored her innocent dreams and youthful enthusiasm. All her favorite toys were thoughtfully displayed around the room, adding to its charm and making it a truly magical place for her. The toys ranged from dolls to action figures, to stuffed animals, each one with its own special place in Nari’s heart. The most striking feature of the room was her small bed, adorned with a beautiful canopy. This bed was more than just a place for her to rest; it was her castle, her secret hideout. It was here that Nari would sleep like a real princess, after a day full of adventures and playful activities. Guarding her while she slept were her loyal teddy bears. These soft and cuddly guardians were always there by her side, watching over her. They were not just toys, but her friends, and protectors. Nari even made you print out a picture of Wooyoung, which she lovingly framed and placed on her tiny desk. It became her most prized possession. Every detail in the room reflected Nari’s personality and vivid imagination, making it a perfect haven for her.
As Nari settled down, you decided to play her favorite Disney movie. The familiar tunes filled the room, and Nari's eyes lit up at the sight of her beloved characters. While Nari was engrossed in her movie, you made your way to the kitchen. Your mom has already started preparing your meal. The sight of her working her magic in the kitchen, coupled with the tantalizing smells, made your stomach rumble in anticipation.
"So, Nari asked about her dad today," you started, your voice barely above a whisper. As the words left your mouth, your mother froze in her place. Her eyes met yours, a mix of surprise and concern in her gaze. The room fell silent, the only sound being the sizzle from the pan on the stove. "Mom, I feel lost. I don't know what to do," you confessed, your voice trembling with uncertainty.
"Do you want them to meet, honey?" your mom asked. Her gaze was steady, her eyes never leaving yours. She was searching for an answer, not just in your words, but also in your expression. There was a hint of concern in her voice which was understandable. After all, it was a significant moment, a decision that could change the dynamics of everything. You hesitated for a moment, weighing the possibilities in your mind. You could feel your mom's expectant gaze on you, and it somehow made the decision harder.
After what felt like an eternity, you finally spoke. "Yes, mom. I want them to meet." Your voice was firm, but inside, you were bracing yourself for the changes that were about to come. Your worlds were about to collide, your secrets were about to unravel, and you could only hope that in the end, everything would fall into place. "But I don't want him to know that Nari is his," you admitted shyly. There was a moment of silence as you pondered over your words.
"Honey, I know you might be scared, but I believe it's high time he found out the truth," she said, her voice softer now, yet resolute and unwavering. She cast a glance down at her hands, her fingers intertwined, and when she looked up at you again, there was a raw determination in her eyes that you hadn't seen before. "He needs to know that he has a daughter. That he's a father. It's not just about you anymore, it's also about Nari. She will be 4 soon and deserves to know her father. It's time for you to step up and let him in on the reality of his situation."
"I'm not going to tell him, Mom," you replied firmly, your resolve clear in your tone. "I wouldn't risk Jongho's career like that," you said, speaking more to yourself than your mother. "I was prepared to spend a lifetime without him knowing the truth." Despite the fear and uncertainty, a sense of resolve washed over you. Your mom sighed heavily; you know it wasn’t the response she wanted to hear.
"Even if you somehow end up meeting him, do you think he's stupid?" she asked abruptly. Her question was unexpected, and it caught you off guard.
"What do you mean?" you responded, taken aback by the sudden change in her tone and line of questioning.
"One look at Nari, and he's going to know the truth!" she exclaimed, her voice filled with conviction. "Nari looks exactly like him!" your mom slightly raised her voice. "I have never seen Jongho with my own eyes, but even if my judgment is based only on how he looks on TV… Honey, her eyes, her smile... they are all his," she continued, the room fell silent, you were lost in your own thoughts. You knew that the resemblance was not just physical, Nari had also inherited his mannerisms and charisma.
"I... I hadn't thought of that," you admitted, feeling a sudden knot tighten in your stomach. The realization that Jongho could easily figure out the truth was alarming. "I'll figure something out, Mom. I promise." You said, trying to reassure her despite the sinking feeling in your chest.
"If you don't have his phone number, maybe you should contact his company?" your mother suggested, her voice filled with concern. You stared at her, aghast at her suggestion.
"Mom, are you crazy? That's the last thing I'd want to do," you retorted, shaking your head at the absurdity of the idea.
Your mother's eyebrows rose in surprise at your response. "Well, I was just trying to help," she said, a hint of hurt in her voice.
You sighed, regretting your harsh words. "I know, Mom. I'm sorry. It's just... complicated," you admitted, rubbing your temples. The last thing you wanted was to involve his company in this matter.
"Let's just try to find another way, okay?" you suggested, hoping to steer the conversation toward a more productive direction. You focused on the task at hand, the act of cooking providing a much-needed distraction from the whirlpool of thoughts threatening to consume you. Each chop and stir was mechanical, your mind elsewhere. You were desperate to find a way to let Nari meet Jongho but figuring out how to do that without jeopardizing his career or causing a scandal was proving to be more difficult than you had initially anticipated.
After dinner, you helped Nari with her bedtime routine. Meanwhile, your mom was busy cleaning up after dinner. While assisting Nari, you could hear running water from the kitchen and clinking dishes being put away. With Nari finally tucked in, you joined your mom in the kitchen to lend a hand. The teamwork made the task lighter, and the kitchen was soon spotless.
"Take her to his concert, you could buy a VIP ticket so you two could meet him." your mom suddenly broke the silence between you two. You looked up at her in surprise. A concert? The idea was so far-fetched that you couldn't help but laugh. But as you glanced at your mother, you realized she was serious. "Think about it. She gets to see her dad and you don’t have to say anything," she suggested, the idea not sounding as ridiculous now. It might work. And then, you could see how he reacts to Nari. If he shows any sign of recognition, you could consider telling him the truth. Yes, it might just work."Besides, we know how much she loves her 'Uncle' Wooyoung, and I'm sure she would be so happy to go and see him live," your mom added.
"That idea isn't bad, Mom, but do you know how expensive the tickets are? There's no way I can afford two," you replied, worry evident in your voice. Concert tickets, especially for a band as popular as ATEEZ, could be incredibly pricey. You were doing your best to provide for Nari, but luxuries like concert tickets were simply out of your reach.
"What if I will get you the tickets?" your mom asked. You stared at her, shocked by her proposition. Your mom rarely splurged on anything, always preferring to save for a rainy day. Seeing your surprise, she laughed. "I know it seems out of character for me, but I want to do this for you and Nari. I want her to have this experience, and maybe it will lead to something more." She gave you a hopeful smile, her eyes filled with love and determination.
"Mom, I can't ask you for so much…" you protested, feeling a pang of guilt at the thought of your mother paying for the tickets. "It's too much." But your mom was already shaking her head, cutting off your protest.
"This isn't about money, it's about Nari," she said firmly. "And if this gives her a chance to meet her father, then it's worth every penny." You could see the determination in her eyes, and you knew there was no point in arguing. She had made up her mind, and when she did, there was no changing it.
"Okay," you finally agreed, knowing that this was the best chance Nari had to meet Jongho. "Thank you, Mom." She simply nodded, her eyes filled with a mix of relief and satisfaction. You realized then that despite everything, your mom was still looking out for you. She was still willing to do anything to make sure you and Nari were happy. Your heart pounded in your chest as you took your phone in your hands, searching for ATEEZ events. You scrolled through the results, your eyes skimming the details. Suddenly, one specific event caught your attention. It was a free event, happening in just two days. You gasped, your eyes widening in surprise. A free event?
"Mom? I think we hit a jackpot," you smiled, as you showed your mom your phone.
"A free event?" she exclaimed, happily clapping her hands. You were taken aback by her reaction but couldn't help but share in her excitement. You hugged her tightly, her happiness radiating onto you. You picked up your phone once again, and quickly booked the free tickets. With a deep sigh, you turned to your mother, gently taking her hands in yours.
"I'm going to see him, Mom," you whispered softly. The words hung heavy in the air, a mix of fear, anticipation, and longing. It was as if all the pent-up emotions you had been holding back came flooding out at that moment. Tears finally began to stream down your face, unabashed and unhindered. They traced wet tracks on your cheeks, a poignant testament to the heartfelt emotions you were experiencing. It was a cathartic release that revealed your true feelings. Your heart ached with a desperate longing, a yearning that had been simmering underneath the surface all this time. The lump in your throat eased, replaced with a strange sense of tranquility. All the nervousness, the apprehension that had been your constant companion, seemed to have evaporated. It was as if acknowledging your feelings had liberated you from their hold, allowing you to finally breathe. The realization hit you then, sudden and profound. You were going to see Jongho, the man you had loved with all your heart, once more. The thought brought a twinge of excitement, a dash of fear, and a whole lot of love. It was a second chance, a final goodbye, a moment you knew you would remember for the rest of your life.
Two days have passed like two hours. It felt like you had just blinked and suddenly, you were standing with Nari, hand in hand, in a line buzzing with anticipation. You were nervous, your heart pounding in your chest. Nari, on the other hand, was brimming with excitement. She was bubbling with joy at the prospect of seeing her 'Uncle' Wooyoung, blissfully unaware of the real reason you were both there. The line moved forward gradually and with each step, your heart pounded harder. You glanced at Nari, who was chatting away excitedly about all the fun things she'd do with Wooyoung. Her innocence and cheerfulness were infectious, easing your nerves slightly. As you got closer to the front of the line, you could see ATEEZ up ahead, their warm smiles greeting each fan.
And then you saw Jongho, being the second to last, signing an album and holding a fan's hand while he did so. His focus was entirely on the task at hand, his brows slightly furrowed in concentration. He would occasionally look up to make eye contact with the fan, offering them a warm smile. It was as though your world had stopped. Your breath caught in your throat, your heart pounding as if it were trying to escape from your chest. It had been almost five years since you last saw him. He had changed - his face was more mature, his eyes held a deeper wisdom, and the lines of his smile seemed to tell stories you weren't a part of. Yet, amidst all the changes, he was still the same Jongho you remembered, the same Jongho you had fallen for. The distance and the years that had passed had not made your heart forget. The sight of him brought back a flood of memories, some sweet, some bitter, but all precious. Standing there, seeing him after all this time, you realized – you were not afraid anymore. You were ready to face him, ready to face the past.
When it was finally your turn, you gently nudged Nari forward. Her face lit up when she saw Wooyoung. She quickly seated herself in a chair across from the table where he was sitting. Then, she stood on the chair, stepped onto the table, and her hands swiftly found their way around Wooyoung's neck. Wooyoung was startled at first, taken aback by Nari's sudden, enthusiastic hug. You were shocked too, having no time to react to Nari's swift actions. But your breath hitched when Wooyoung recovered from his initial surprise and smiled, hugging Nari back. The atmosphere quickly filled with warmth as Wooyoung returned Nari's hug with equal affection. The surprise on his face was replaced by a soft smile, his arms wrapping around her in a comforting embrace. You watched this heartfelt moment unfold, your heart fluttering in your chest. The shock from earlier had completely dissipated, replaced by a sense of relief and happiness. It was clear to you that despite the abruptness of Nari's actions, Wooyoung was happy to hug her back.
"Hi there, little one," he greeted with a warm smile on his face.
"Uncle Wooyoung!" Nari responded kindly, her laughter tinkling in the air as she beamed back at him. The sight was enough to melt your heart. However, your moment of joy was short-lived as you noticed the stern look from the security guard. His gaze was fixed on your daughter, clearly annoyed with her actions. Although you understood his perspective, it was hard to stop a child from being excited in such moments. You quickly intervened, trying to maintain the peace. You gently took Nari from Wooyoung's warm embrace and brought her back to her chair. She pouted a little, clearly not happy about being moved away from her favorite person.
"I'm sorry," you apologized, turning to face Wooyoung. Wooyoung simply shook his head and laughed, clearly not bothered by what had just happened.
"It's okay," he said, his voice filled with understanding. You handed him the album that you had brought along, as he took it from your hands to sign it, Nari put her small hand on top of Wooyoung’s.
"My name is Nari," she said, a soft yet firm assertion that hung in the air between them. Her gaze was unwavering, locked onto his face as if searching for something within him, something perhaps only she could see. After signing the album, Wooyoung handed it back to you.
"It was nice to meet you, Nari," he said, a genuine smile as he gently patted Nari's hair.
"Nari, it's time to go," you softly announced, lifting the small girl into your arms, there were still other members of the band you had yet to meet. Nari, however, was not so ready to move on. She pouted adorably; her full attention still fixed on Wooyoung.
"I love you, Uncle Wooyoung," she declared, her innocent eyes wide and shimmering with admiration. Every word she spoke was filled with the pure, unfiltered affection that only a child could muster. Wooyoung, for his part, responded with an equal measure of warmth. His eyes softened at her words, a tender smile playing at the corners of his lips. He cooed at her cuteness; his heart clearly touched by her innocent proclamation.
"I love you too, Nari," he replied, his voice filled with genuine affection. He waved back at her, his smile never faltering even as the next fan made their approach. As you moved away, you felt a sense of anticipation bubbling up within you. You were ready to introduce Nari to the rest of the band, ready to create more beautiful memories. Nari was thrilled to meet the other band members. Perhaps not as much as she was when she met Wooyoung, but she still charmed each and every one of them with her delightful spirit. Seonghwa, Mingi, Yunho, Yeosang, and San were all absolutely enchanted by their little fan, their hearts melting at the sight of her infectious joy.
Then, it was time to face Jongho. As you approached him, your heartbeat echoed loudly in your ears. A lump formed in your throat, making it difficult to breathe. The world seemed to come to a standstill as you stood before him. His familiar eyes met yours, and in that moment, everything else faded into insignificance.
"Hi…" The word was barely more than an apprehensive whisper, escaping from Jonhgo's lips. His gaze was fixed on you, a whirlpool of emotions swirling within his eyes. It had been almost five years since he had last seen you. Yet, as he looked at you now, it was as if time had stood still. You were still as beautiful, if not more, as the last time he saw you. Your enchanting smile and the mesmerizing glint in your eyes had the power to make his heart stutter within his chest.
"I'm sorry to be showing up like this," you said, your voice carrying the weight of your uncertainty. You had rehearsed this moment countless times in your head, and yet now, standing in front of him, the words seemed to escape you. You sat down on the chair, passing him the album.
"It’s fine… it’s so good to see you," Jongho responded, each word punctuated with sincerity. At that moment, he felt as if the world around him had melted away. All that mattered was you. His eyes were lost in yours, completely oblivious to the world around him. It was as if an invisible thread was pulling him towards you, making him oblivious to everything else.
"I just…" you started, the words hanging in the air. But before you could give them shape, a small voice chimed in.
‘’Hi Uncle Jongho! You are my Mommy's favourite’’ Nari greeted him with a wide grin spreading across her face, she cautiously yet excitedly maneuvered herself into your lap. Her eyes sparkled with uncontained joy as she looked up, her gaze meeting Jongho's, who was across the table, her smile growing even wider, if that was possible, at the sight of him.
"Hi, little one! Well, your mom has great taste!" Jongho responded, his words laced with surprise. He hadn't expected this.
"I really like your songs," the little girl confessed with an earnest expression. "Mommy told me that you're a good person and that we could be friends." The words hit Jongho like a punch in the gut. The realization that you had a daughter began to dawn on him. He quickly glanced at your fingers, searching for a wedding ring, but found none. Jongho's heart sank as a lump formed in his throat, his mind racing to piece together the puzzle before him. You weren't married, nor engaged, and the little girl nestled on your lap couldn't have been more than four years old. It didn't take long for him to make the connection— you must have been pregnant five years ago, and five years ago you were his.
"I’m sure we will be great friends," Jongho replied, trying to keep his voice steady. His gaze never left yours, even as he addressed Nari. Jongho's eyes slowly drifted away from yours, lingering for a moment before he turned to look at Nari. He took his time, observing her closely. There was something about her that caught his attention. He couldn't help but see the resemblance - something in the way her eyes sparkled, the curve of her smile. As you were sitting with Nari in your lap, you couldn't help but notice Jongho's gaze fixed on her. His eyes were filled with adoration and curiosity, something that you found endearing. Gently, you shifted Nari off your lap. You took her small hand in yours,
"Nari," you started, your voice as soft as a whisper, careful not to disrupt the lively chatter around you. Her big, innocent eyes looked up at you, her attention completely focused on you. "Would you wait for me next to the last uncle's table?" you asked her. Your tone was gentle, Nari simply nodded, her trust in you evident. She didn't ask why, didn't protest, she trotted off, her steps small and careful. Jongho's gaze was still on her, his eyes filled with the same adoration as before. The sight warmed your heart, solidifying the beautiful moment in your memory.
"Is she mine?" The question was out in the open before he could stop himself. Jongho’s heart was pounding against his ribcage, and his hands were trembling, but he couldn't ignore the uncanny resemblance.
"Jongho I…" you started but were quickly interrupted by Jongho's direct question.
"She's mine, isn't she?" you feel your cheeks flush as you investigate Jongho's eyes, unsure of how to respond. Your heart beats faster as you gather the courage to answer him.
"She's yours, Jongho," you finally admitted, the truth coming out in a whisper. All the color drained from his face at your words. He was a father. He had a daughter. His mind was reeling, struggling to process the enormity of what he had just learned. "I found out a month after we broke up" you confessed, your words barely a whisper. The weight of your words was almost too much to bear, and you found it impossible to meet his intense gaze.
"Y/N, you know I can’t..." Jongho began, his voice was heavy with unspoken emotions. His hand, almost as if guided by an unseen force, reached out for you in a gesture of comfort and longing.
"I just wanted her... our little girl, to see her dad, to meet you, at least once in her lifetime," you admitted, your voice shaking with the effort of holding back the torrent of tears threatening to spill. "I don’t expect anything in return." Jongho simply stared at you in silence, his expression unreadable. His gaze was intense, almost as if he was trying to read your thoughts.
"I'll need some time to process this," he finally said, his voice barely above a whisper. The silence that followed was deafening, the tension in the air palpable. But for the first time in years, you felt a sense of relief wash over you. The truth was finally out, and despite the complexity of the situation, you felt a strange sense of peace.
"I understand, Jongho, I don't expect anything form you," you replied, giving his hand a reassuring squeeze. You knew this was a lot for him to take in. It wasn't easy for you either, but you were glad that he now knew about Nari.
"Hey Nari!" You heard Jongho's voice asking for your daughter's attention. "Wouldn't you give me a hug?" Nari, who had been watching the exchange from a distance, hesitated for a moment before making her way towards Jongho. His smile widened as he crouched down to her level, opening his arms wide for her. Nari ran into his embrace, wrapping her small arms around his neck. Jongho held her close, his heart swelling with an indescribable emotion. As the security guard began to usher you away, a pang of regret washed over Jongho. Seeing you hustled away, Jongho felt a surge of urgency. He yearned to reach out, to clasp your hand and never release it, but time was eluding him.
"Wait!" Jongho's desperate voice echoed as he stepped forward, stretching a hand towards you. But it was too late, you were already moved to Hongjoong’s table. Jongho slumped back into his seat, engulfed by defeat. He had let you slip through his grasp again, and now he was worried that he might never rectify his mistake. As he sat, absorbed in his thoughts, the image of Nari's innocent face haunted him. She resembled him so much with her broad eyes and radiant smile, yet she was a stranger—a reminder of the life he missed and the family he never knew he had. Engrossed in his thoughts, Jongho barely registered the next fan asking for an autograph. His thoughts were occupied by you and the daughter he never knew existed. As he autographed the fan's album, Jongho wondered if there was still hope for you and him, if perhaps fate might reunite them one day.
As you approached Hongjoong's table with Nar, your heart raced with a mix of apprehension and resentment. You couldn't shake the memories of your last encounter, the painful words he had spoken, and the role he had played in driving you and Jongho apart. Hongjoong looked up from signing autographs, his expression unreadable as he locked eyes with you. There was a flicker of recognition in his gaze, followed by a hint of guilt that he quickly masked with a polite smile.
"Hello," Hongjoong greeted you, his voice carefully neutral. "It's been a while." you forced a tight smile, your hands trembling slightly as you returned his greeting.
"Yes, it has," you replied, her voice strained with tension. There was a palpable awkwardness between you two, as Hongjoong catches sight of Nari standing beside you, his eyes widen in surprise. There's an unmistakable resemblance between Nari and Jongho—the same sparkling eyes, the same dimpled smile—that sends a pang of nostalgia coursing through Hongjoong's heart. Nari beams up at Hongjoong, her innocence and warmth melting away any lingering tension in the air.
"Hi Uncle Hongjoong!" she chirps, reaching out to shake Hongjoong's hand with childlike enthusiasm. As Hongjoong exchanges a few more pleasantries with Nari, you can't shake the feeling of unease that gnaws at the back of your mind. With a quick 'thank you' to Hongjoong, you took Nari in your arms and quickly made your way towards the exit. You didn't dare to look back, your heart pounding in your chest. As you walked away, you couldn't help but wonder if Hongjoong had made the connection. But it didn't matter anymore. You had done what you had come here to do. Nari had finally met her dad, and Jongho now knew about her existence. What would happen next was out of your hands.
As you exited the venue, you could feel a sense of relief washing over you. The heavy burden that had been weighing on your heart for years was now lifted. You glanced at Nari, her face filled with joy and excitement, her eyes sparkling with pure innocence. You couldn't help but feel a sense of love and pride. Despite everything, you knew in your heart that you had made the right decision.

jongho
After what felt like an eternity, the fan meeting ended. Jongho's mind still reeling from the shock. He found himself rushing backstage into the tranquility of the dressing room that he shared with Hongjoong. He withdrew to a corner, away from the others, needing to be alone with his tumultuous thoughts. Images of Nari's face swirled in his mind, her innocent smile seared into his memory. He wrestled with a whirlwind of questions, his brain struggling to process the reality of his newfound fatherhood.
"Why didn't you try to contact me?" He asked the empty room, his voice barely a whisper. The question echoed off the walls, a haunting reminder of the years he had missed. "Didn't I have a right to know sooner?" His voice broke as he voiced the question, the hurt evident in his tone. He was a father, but he had been oblivious to that fact for years. The knowledge filled him with a potent mix of joy and anguish. Joy at the thought of being a father, and anguish at the years he had missed, the moments he would never get back. The room felt suffocating, the silence deafening as the reality of the situation slowly sank in. He missed out on so much. He missed seeing you pregnant, a sight he was sure would have been beautiful. He missed being there for you when you were feeling sick when you needed him the most. He missed the birth of Nari, missed holding your hand through the labor. He missed her first tooth, her first steps, her first words. He even missed her first day of school. All these milestones in Nari's life, and he wasn't there for any of them. A sense of loss washed over him, a regret for all the moments he had missed, moments he could never get back. Jongho was alone, filled with anger. He felt betrayed, kept in the dark about his own daughter all these years. He was furious at everyone, including himself. His hands clenched into fists as he grappled with the reality of missed opportunities to be a father.
As Hongjoong entered the dressing room, he could sense the storm of emotions raging within Jongho. The usually lively and cheerful atmosphere of the room was replaced by a heavy silence. Jongho was seated alone, lost in his thoughts. The look on his face was one of confusion and shock, a stark contrast to his usual cheerful demeanor.
"Jongho..." Hongjoong began, hoping to break the silence. His voice was gentle, not wanting to startle his friend. Jongho looked up, his eyes meeting Hongjoong's. There was a vulnerability in Jongho's eyes that tugged at Hongjoong's heart. He knew Jongho needed to talk, to let out all the emotions that were bottled up inside him.
"I know you have a lot on your mind because of Y/N showing up," Hongjoong said, taking a seat next to Jongho. His voice was soft, understanding. "And I'm here to listen, whenever you're ready to talk about this." His words hung in the air, offering a sense of comfort and support to Jongho.
"I'm surprised you even remember her," Jongho scoffed, the hurt evident in his voice. His mind was a whirlwind of emotions and memories, all coming back at once. Breaking the silence that hung heavily in the room, Hongjoong finally voiced the question that had been lingering in everyone's minds,
"Y/N's a mom now, how does it make you feel?" Hongjoong's voice was gentle, and cautious, as if he was afraid of shattering the fragile peace that had momentarily settled over them. He was aware that he was treading on thin ice, yet he also knew this was a conversation that needed to be held.
"I don’t know" Jongho's voice broke, the words he needed to confess stuck in his throat. He needed to admit that he was the father, but he couldn't find the words. The situation was too raw, too fresh. He was scared to say it out loud.
"Her daughter, she looks a bit like you," Hongjoong said gently, his gaze falling on his friend. "She has your eyes... your smile." As he spoke, Hongjoong's hand found its way to Jongho's shoulder, offering a reassuring squeeze. It was his way of encouraging Jongho, of letting him know that he wasn't alone in this.
Jongho finally broke down. His voice was barely a whisper as he admitted, "Because she's mine." His hands covered his face, trying to hide the tears that were streaming down his cheeks. His body trembled with the intensity of his emotions, the reality of the situation finally sinking in. "That night... when you told me to break up with Y/N, I..." He paused, struggling to find the right words. "I thought I was doing the right thing, for both of us." The memory of that night came rushing back to him, the pain, the confusion, the regret. He felt as though he was reliving that moment all over again.
Hongjoong remained silent, listening to Jongho's confession. He could see the pain etched on his friend's face, the regret in his eyes. "Jongho, I..." he began, but Jongho cut him off.
"I trusted you," Jongho continued, his voice choked with emotion. "I trusted you, and I let her go. But now... now I have found out that I have a daughter. A daughter that I didn't even know existed because I wasn't there for her... because I wasn't there for Y/N." His voice cracked the guilt and regret overwhelming him. "I missed out on so much because of that decision... because of you." Tears kept streaming down Jongho's face as he sobbed, he had lost so much - his love, his child, years of being a father - all because of a decision made years ago. And now, he didn't know how to deal with this overwhelming wave of regret and loss. "I don't know what to do," Jongho whispered, his eyes welling up with unshed tears. The weight of the revelations and the depth of his emotions were too much to bear. His heart felt heavy in his chest, the pain nearly unbearable. He felt lost, unsure of how to navigate the storm of emotions within him. The anger, the hurt, the betrayal... it was all too much. And yet, amidst all of that, there was also a profound sense of love; love for a child he had never known, but already cared for deeply. "What do I do now?" he asked, looking up with pleading eyes, desperate for guidance and a roadmap to navigate this new reality. Hongjoong was at a loss for words. He could see the pain in Jongho's eyes and feel the regret that filled the air around them.
"Jongho, I... I didn't know. I thought I was doing what was best for you. For your career. I never meant for this to happen," he finally managed to say, his voice filled with regret. But words were just words, and no apology could erase the years Jongho had lost.
"When I hugged Nari, it was like love just hit me with the power of a train," Jongho continued, his gaze fixed on Hongjoong. "I couldn't believe she's mine. The moment she was in my arms, I felt this overwhelming urge to break down, to cry and apologize for not being there from the start. Y/N's been doing that all alone, Hongjoong," Jongho cried out, his voice choked with emotion. "I wasn't there... I didn't know... The pregnancy, the birth, and then raising a daughter... She has been all alone." His voice broke in the last words, the heart-wrenching reality hitting him hard.
"Jongho, don’t blame yourself, you didn't know," Hongjoong finally spoke up, his voice filled with understanding and sympathy. "You still have a chance to make it right."
"How am I supposed to make it right?" Jongho asked, his voice filled with desperation and confusion. "Only you knew about Y/N. I've never told the rest of the boys, nor the managers, nothing... How am I supposed to make it work now?" His words hung heavy in the air for a moment, the weight of his predicament settling in. Jongho looked down, a mix of frustration and despair etched on his face. "Maybe it's too late... Maybe I've already lost my chance." He murmured, the hopelessness in his voice echoing through the room. His heart ached at the thought of missing out on his daughter's life, all the moments he could have been there for her.
"We'll find a way," Hongjoong said firmly, his voice tinged with determination. "We'll talk to the managers, to the members... We'll figure it out together."
"What if Y/N doesn't want me in her life again?" Jongho asked, the fear in his voice almost palpable. The thought of you rejecting him, of not wanting him in your life anymore, terrified him. The silence that followed was deafening, the tension in the air palpable.
"Jongho, Nari is your daughter," Hongjoong finally said, his voice steady and determined. "And regardless of what happened between you and Y/N, from now on she will always be a part of your life. You need to talk to Y/N, to understand her perspective and express your feelings. This is not only about Nari, but it's also about you and Y/N, about the life you could have together." After wiping away the last of his tears, Jongho took a deep breath, steadying himself. He knew what he had to do next.
"I need to reach out to Y/N," he said to himself, determination filling his voice.
"Do you still have her number?" Hongjoong asked. Jongho nodded, reaching into his pocket to pull out his phone. He scrolled through his contacts until he found your name. He hesitated for a moment before showing the screen to Hongjoong.
"But it's been five years... She could have changed it," Jongho voiced out his concern, the uncertainty clear in his voice.
"Well, it doesn't hurt to try?" Hongjoong asked, smiling at Jongho. Jongho looked back at Hongjoong, his expression unreadable. There was a long pause before he finally nodded, his gaze determined.
"You're right," he said, "It doesn't hurt to try."
"Nari will not only get her dad, but she will also get seven uncles. I promise the boys will love her so much. She will be so loved," Hongjoong said encouragingly. "So don't be afraid and talk to Y/N." Hongjoong's words hung in the air for a moment, creating a hopeful silence. Jongho looked at him, his sadness visibly subsiding, replaced by a glimmer of longing and anticipation.
"You really think they'll accept her? Accept us?" Jongho asked, his voice barely above a whisper.
"I know so," Hongjoong replied confidently. "We're a family, Jongho. And family means no one gets left behind or forgotten." With that, Jongho seemed to find a new resolve. He nodded, taking a deep breath as he prepared himself to take the first step towards a future where he could be a father to his daughter, a future where he was no longer kept in the dark.
The drive back to the dorms seemed to take an eternity. Jongho found himself lost in his thoughts, the car's quiet hum a stark contrast to the storm of emotions raging within him. The conversation with Hongjoong had eased his mind a bit, the weight of his newfound fatherhood feeling a little less heavy. He decided it was best to delay talking to the boys and the company about the situation until he had had time to process everything himself. It was a lot to take in, and he needed time to figure out his next steps. Once he entered his room, Jongho wasted no time. He locked the door behind him, seeking the privacy he needed for the call he was about to make. His heartbeat quickened as he dialed your number, each ring echoing in his ears until finally, the line connected.

you
After an exhausting day you found yourself sinking into the plush cushions of your couch, a glass of your favorite wine in hand. The TV screen in front of you was merely background noise, a mindless distraction from the day's events. Your phone suddenly lighted up, an incoming call from an unknown caller. You picked it up, eyeing the unfamiliar number with a slight frown. After a moment's hesitation, you finally answered, "Hello? Who is it?"
"Hi, it's me, Jongho," he said, his voice sending a shiver down your spine. You swallowed hard, your heart starting to beat faster. ‘’Do you have time to talk right now?’’
"Yeah, Nari's at my mom's now…" you managed to reply, trying to keep your voice steady. You didn't expect that Jongho had your number, let alone that he would reach out so quickly.
Jongho's heart beat harder at the mention of Nari's name. "If you're not busy, maybe we could meet up for a coffee?" Jongho offered.
"Jongho, you don't have to be doing this. I don't expect you to do anything for Nari or me," you blurted out, the words tumbling from your lips before you could stop them.
"Y/N, you took her away from me for four years. She's my daughter. And for years, I was oblivious to her existence. I missed out on so much because you chose to keep me in the dark," Jongho's voice was steady, but you could hear the underlying emotion. "Because of that, I think you owe me at least a conversation." There was a pause, and you could almost feel Jongho gathering his thoughts. "So, what you need to do now is send me the address of a coffee place near your location. I'll meet you there in an hour."
"Alright, Jongho, let's meet. I'll send you an address," you sighed heavily, the weight of the situation pressing down on you. You knew deep down that you owed him this conversation, even if it was the last thing you wanted to do right now. The reality was that you weren't ready to face whatever consequences this meeting would bring about. You weren't ready to delve into the past, but for your daughter's sake, for Jongho's sake, and maybe a little bit for your own sake, you would do it. You would meet him, and you would have this conversation.
"I'll see you there," Jongho said, ending the call and leaving you alone with your thoughts. You finished your glass of wine, texted Jongho the address of a coffee place near your apartment, and began to gather your belongings. Opening your wardrobe, you sighed loudly. You wanted to look your best for Jongho but didn't want to appear as if you were preparing for a date or trying too hard to impress him after all these years. Having chosen an outfit, put on your denim jacket, and headed to the coffee shop.
Upon entering the coffee shop, your eyes immediately found Jongho, sitting alone in a corner. He was dressed casually in a beige coat, his face partially hidden behind glasses, and a mask. The sight of him caused a flutter in your heart and your hands started to tremble involuntarily. You straightened your clothes and ran a hand through your hair, trying to compose yourself. Taking a deep breath, you began to make your way towards his table, preparing yourself for the conversation to come.
"Hi," you almost whispered as you found your seat opposite Jongho. You tried to maintain an air of confidence, but the reality was that your heart was pounding in your chest. You could feel a lump forming in your throat, and you quickly swallowed to clear it. The memories of your past with Jongho were flooding back, and you were suddenly overcome with a mix of nostalgia, regret, fear, and hope. Jongho looked at you intently, his eyes scanning your features. It was surreal, he thought, to have you sitting there across from him after all these years. He still couldn't quite believe, that you were here with him. His heart pounded in his chest, a mix of excitement and fear coursing through his veins. This was it - the start of a conversation that was years overdue. "Are you sure you want to talk here?" you asked, glancing around at the bustling café. "This place is still quite busy considering it's already evening," you continued. There was an uncertainty in your tone, a clear sign of your nervousness. You then looked back at Jongho, meeting his gaze. "I just think that considering your status now, it will be more comfortable to do it at my place," you added, offering an alternative.
After a moment of silence, Jongho finally found the courage to ask, "Are you comfortable with me coming over to your place?" His voice was filled with a hint of apprehension as if he was worried about crossing any boundaries.
"Yeah, it's alright," you responded, your tone casual and inviting. You quickly added, ‘’My place isn’t far from here, just about 5 minutes away. Besides, Nari won’t be home tonight. She's staying over with her grandparents, so we'll have the place to ourselves.’’
Jongho seemed to consider your words for a moment before he finally agreed, "Okay then, let's go," his tone steady, as if he was trying to mask his excitement or maybe it was anxiety. Together, you left the bustling café, heading towards the quiet comfort of your apartment. The walk was filled with palpable tension, both of you lost in your thoughts, silently anticipating the conversation that awaited.
You let Jongho in and lead him to the living room. "I'm sorry, it's nothing fancy," you whispered, feeling suddenly self-conscious. You were aware that with the success Jongho had achieved, he was probably used to living in more amazing spaces. Jongho looked around your modest space, taking in the sights of a home that you had lovingly created for yourself and Nari. Her baby pictures were hanging on the wall, her toys scattered in every corner. His smile widened as he took in these intimate glimpses into her life. It filled him with a warm, tender feeling, a sense of connection to the daughter he was only just getting to know.
''I don't know where to start'' you finally whispered anxiously as you sit down on the couch.
Jongho looked at you, his eyes softening. "How about we start from the beginning?''
"I found out about a month after we broke up," you started, your voice shaking. Jongho's presence felt so strange in your apartment. His eyes on yours added to the tension that was heavy on your shoulders.
"Why didn't you tell me?" Jongho asked, his voice filled with a mixture of confusion and hurt. His eyes bore into yours, seeking answers to questions that had been plaguing him since he found out about Nari.
"I was scared," you confessed, your voice barely audible. "And I loved you too much to burden you with my pregnancy," you said, smiling sadly and averting your gaze as you felt tears welling up in your eyes. "And don't try to lie and tell me I wouldn't ruin your life with it," you chuckled, your finger wiping away the tears that escaped. "Because I would have," you continued, the words heavy with regret and unshed tears. "Your music, your dreams... I couldn't stand in the way of that."
"I think I had the right to know," Jongho interrupted, his voice firm yet filled with emotion. His words brought a heavy silence between the two of you. His gaze was intent, the hurt and confusion clear in his eyes.
"Jongho, I didn't mean to hurt you by keeping it a secret," you admitted, your voice trembling with emotion. "But at that time, I genuinely believed it was the best decision for the three of us." You gave him a pleading look, hoping he would understand.
"I want to be Nari's father," Jongho confessed, his voice barely above a whisper but the conviction in his words was undeniable. You were taken aback by his confession, not expecting him to express such a strong desire to be a part of your daughter's life. You looked at him, your heart pounding in your chest as you tried to find the right words.
"Jongho... we are doing good, the two of us. You've chosen your career, and I want you to stick to that decision now. Nari doesn't change anything."
"How can you say that? Of course, it changes everything! I am a father now!", Jongho's voice rose, his tone filled with a sense of urgency and frustration. His heart pounded in his chest, his gaze never leaving yours. "Nari exists because we loved each other," his voice choked with emotion as he continued, "She's a living proof of our love." His voice trailed off, the weight of his words hanging heavy in the room. He was desperate for you to understand. His life, his priorities, everything had shifted the moment he found out about Nari. And he was determined to do whatever it took to be a part of her life. Jongho's eyes flashed with determination as he refused to accept your words. "I am her dad, Y/N, and you can't change that!" he exclaimed, his voice filled with conviction.
"I know you are, Jongho," you admitted, your voice softening."But I want you to focus on Ateez, you guys are already doing so well," you responded, your voice steady yet filled with a strange calmness. "Me and Nari... we'll be better off without you." The words hung heavily in the air, a painful reality neither of you wanted to face.
"Stop lying to yourself!" Jongho suddenly stood up, glaring at you as his frustration boiled over. His voice echoed around the room, a clear indication of his disbelief and anger at your words. His outburst took you by surprise. You looked at him, taken aback by the intensity of his emotions.
"Jongho, I made a mistake… I shouldn't have come to the fan sign, I shouldn't have let you meet Nari," you started, but he cut you off.
"Enough, Y/N!" he exclaimed; his voice filled with raw emotion. "You don't get to decide what's best for me. She is my daughter too, do you understand?" You swallowed hard, feeling a lump forming in your throat. You knew he was right. "I want to be there for Nari." You looked at him, speechless. You hadn't expected this. You hadn't expected him to fight for his right to be a part of Nari's life. But here he was, standing in your living room, pouring his heart out to you.
"This is a huge responsibility. Are you sure you're ready for it?" You took a deep breath, locking eyes with him. "Because once you're in, there's no going back." Jongho gaze softened, but the determination remained.
"Yes, I'm sure," he said resolutely. "I want to be a part of her life. And I'm ready to take on the responsibility that comes with it." His voice was steady, his conviction clear. There was a pause, a momentary lapse in his speech before he finally found the courage to continue with his confession. "And...," he started his voice barely a whisper, so low and quiet that it was almost lost. You had to strain your ears to hear the rest of his sentence. "I want you back as well, if you will have me" he admitted his words carrying an emotional weight that you could feel hanging in the air between you. You were stunned, unable to form a coherent response. Jongho's words had taken you completely by surprise. You never expected him to confess his feelings, to say that he wanted you back. It felt like your heart was pounding out of your chest, your mind racing with thoughts. You looked at him, your emotions in turmoil. Tears welled up in your eyes, blurring your vision.
"Jongho, I..." you started, struggling to find the right words. You could see the hope in his eyes, the same hope that you felt blossoming in your own heart. "I need time to think about all of this," you finally admitted. "For now, we should focus on you getting to know Nari."
His face fell slightly at your words, but he quickly composed himself. "Of course, I understand," Jongho responded, his voice gentle. "Take all the time you need. And I look forward to getting to know our daughter." After a moment, Jongho broke the silence, his voice soft as he asked, "Could I see her room, if that's not too much to ask?" His eyes were hopeful as he looked at you, his chest rising and falling steadily as he took a few calming breaths. It was clear that he was trying to keep his emotions in check, to respect your need for space and time. As much as he wanted to rush into your lives, he knew he had to tread carefully. After all, he was not just stepping into the life of his former lover, but also into the life of his daughter.
"Of course, you can but… You're not gonna like it," you chuckled softly, Jongho's heart softened at the sight of your genuine smile, a smile he had missed more than he cared to admit.
''Why?'' Jongho asked surprised, but you didn't answer. You wanted for him to see it himself. You led Jongho to Nari's room. The sight that greeted him was a mix of bright colors and cute decorations, a clear reflection of the little girl who called this place her sanctuary. And there, among all the toys and drawings, was a framed picture of… Wooyoung.
"Is that... Wooyoung?" Jongho's voice was filled with surprise as his eyes widened at the sight. He quickly made his way into the room, picking up the framed picture in his hands.
"Yes, it's Wooyoung," you confirmed a soft smile on your lips. "Nari adores him. She thinks he's the coolest in the world." You watched as Jongho's gaze lingered on the picture; his expression unreadable. Jongho looked at you, his eyes filled with a mix of emotions.
"I can't believe that amongst all of us, she had to choose Wooyoung," Jongho muttered, his voice low and filled with a sense of disbelief and a hint of jealousy. His gaze remained fixed on the picture, his thoughts running wild. ''My own daughter?'' You giggled again, finding Jongho's disbelief and subtle jealousy amusing.
"Well, she does have a good taste. After all, Wooyoung is pretty cool," you teased, watching as Jongho's face fell even more. You couldn't help but find the whole situation incredibly amusing. Here was Jongho, an idol who was adored by millions around the world, feeling jealous of his own bandmate. Jongho shook his head, chuckling softly at your comment.
"I guess I have some catching up to do then," he said, placing the picture back on the little, pink desk. His tone was light, but you could sense the determination behind his words. He was ready to do whatever it took to build a relationship with his daughter. You watched him, your heart aching at the sight. Jongho, the man you once loved, standing in your daughter's room, expressing his desire to be a part of her life. It was a sight you never imagined you would witness.
"Jongho, I think...I think it's a good start," you finally said, your voice soft but steady. "You wanting to get to know Nari, to be a part of her life...it means a lot."
Jongho turned to you, his gaze softening. "I should've been there from the start," he admitted with a sigh. "But I promise you, I'll make up for the lost time." Those words, that promise, filled you with a sense of hope. You knew the journey ahead would be filled with challenges and uncertainties. But for the first time in a long time, you felt that you weren't alone in this. And maybe, just maybe, there was a possibility for a future where you, Jongho, and Nari could be a family. But for now, you decided to take things one step at a time, starting with Jongho getting to know his daughter.
"She asked about you the other day," you started, your voice barely a whisper as you looked at Jongho. "She had never asked about her dad before, but when she did, it changed something inside me." You admitted, a lump forming in your throat as you recalled the moment. It was a memory that had been haunting you, a reminder of the reality that you had been trying to avoid. Jongho's eyes widened slightly, a mix of surprise and curiosity reflecting in his gaze as he awaited your next words. "I knew this day would come, but I wasn't prepared for it," you continued, your voice choked with emotion. At this, Jongho reached out, taking your hand in his. The warmth of his touch brought a small comfort. "I told her a few things about you, told her you were really busy," you confessed, your eyes meeting Jongho's. "I didn't know what else to say. She asked if her daddy would treat her to ice cream next time."
Jongho's hand squeezed yours lightly as he stated, "Well, then Daddy will take her to get ice cream," he flashed you a smile and you swore you melted at the sight. You had buried your love for Jongho deep in your heart. But now, his hand on yours, his touch that you craved for so long, stirred something within you. You had to admit that those feelings were slightly knocking at your heart, reminding you of their existence. The silence that filled the room was comfortable, a stark contrast to the tension that had been present earlier. You could see the determination in Jongho's eyes, the promise of his words echoing in the quiet room. The reality of the situation was slowly sinking in, and you found yourself looking at Jongho with newfound hope.
"I guess we still have a lot to talk about," you finally broke the silence, your gaze steady on Jongho. There was a soft smile on your face, a clear indication of your acceptance of the situation. "And a lot of ice cream to buy," you added, your tone light and teasing.
Jongho chuckled, his eyes sparkling with amusement. "I guess we do," he agreed, his voice warm and gentle. He then looked at you, his gaze softening. "But first, we need to figure out how to tell Nari." You nodded, a sense of apprehension filling you. Telling Nari about her dad would be a challenge, a hurdle that both of you needed to cross together. But looking at Jongho, his determination, and his willingness to step up as a father, you felt a sense of comfort.
"We'll figure it out, Jongho," you said, squeezing his hand in reassurance. "Together."
Jongho looked at you, a serious expression on his face. "Y/N, I wanted to talk to you first about this, but tomorrow I'm going to talk with company representatives and the boys. I think I will choose to go on a hiatus to spend some time with Nari and you," he confessed, his voice steady and sincere. The honesty in his words and the determination in his eyes gave you a sense of reassurance. Jongho was indeed ready to take on the responsibility of being a father, and he was willing to make sacrifices for it.
"Jongho, I want to be clear about something," you started, your eyes meeting his. "I'd still like it if you continued your career. I don't want Nari or me to be the reason you have to give up on your dreams." Your words were steady and sincere, echoing in the quiet room. Jongho looked at you, a wave of relief washing over him. He had been worried about the impact this situation would have on his career, but hearing your support eased his concerns.
"Hearing you say that... it means a lot to me," he confessed, his voice filled with gratitude. He was glad to know that even in this complex situation, he still had your support.
The two of you spent the rest of the evening talking about Nari, her likes and dislikes, her habits, and her dreams. You showed him her drawings, her favorite toys, and even her diary which was filled with her innocent thoughts and dreams. Jongho listened attentively, absorbing every detail. He knew he had a lot of catching up to do, but he was more than willing to make up for the lost time. The night grew late as you continued to talk, discussing the future, your shared past, and how everything would affect Nari. You made it clear to Jongho that his career was still significant, and that he could balance his responsibilities as a father without giving up his dreams. And as you spoke, Jongho felt a wave of relief wash over him. Your support meant the world to him, and he was grateful to hear your words of encouragement.
As you finally said your goodbyes, Jongho promised to keep in touch and to start involving himself in Nari's life slowly. He understood that he had a lot of catching up to do and that it wouldn't be easy. But he was ready to face the challenges ahead, ready to be a father to Nari.
"I'll see you soon, Y/N," Jongho said, his voice low but firm. Before he took a step outside of the door, he stepped closer and gently placed a kiss on your cheek. The action was unexpected. You felt your blood rush to your cheeks as he placed a gentle kiss. Where his lips had touched, a tingling sensation lingered, causing your heart to flutter. He turned back to give you a reassuring smile, a promise that he would be back soon. And as you watched him walk away, you felt a sense of hope blossoming in your heart. You knew that the road ahead would be rocky, but you also knew that you weren't alone on this journey. Jongho would be there, ready to face the challenges with you, for Nari's sake.

ceo!san sits on his meeting chair, his face a mask of impassivity as he occupies the seat at the head of the long table, surrounded by his diligent employees. three of his staff members are currently delivering a presentation on the company's economic affairs.
suppressing a yawn that threatens to escape, san finds his mind wandering as the corners of his vision blur. suddenly, a gentle vibration in his pocket jolts him back to the present moment. retrieving his phone discreetly, he can't help but feel a surge of warmth in his chest when he sees your contact photo alongside notifications.
with a swift tap on the imessage bubble, he indulges in the endearing messages from his beloved wife.
from baby: where r u from baby: just woke up to an empty bed :<
san internally giggles, envisioning your slightly annoyed expression, allowing a smile to grace his features. he quickly scans the room to ensure no one is paying attention to him, reclaiming his composed demeanor.
observing the unwavering focus of his employees on the projected powerpoint, he returns his gaze to his phone, eagerly crafting a response.
to baby: sorry lovely, didn't wanna wake u up to baby: u look so pretty when u sleep to baby: ill b bck soon <3
closing his phone and sliding it back into his pocket, he crosses his arms before him, reimmersed in the ongoing presentation. his lips form a determined line as he resolutely attempts to push thoughts of you aside; otherwise, he won't be able to resist the urge to abruptly end the meeting and rush to your side.
his temporary respite is interrupted when a vibration against his thigh demands his immediate attention. acting instinctively, he retrieves his phone, his brow furrowing at the preview of incoming messages.
from baby: u dont have 2 come back from baby: got someone 2 replace u :p from baby: they're gnna b warming the bed instead of u from baby: [attachment: 1 image]
his thumb moves with haste, clicking on the attachment, and his jaw tightens as the image takes its time to load. he rakes his hand through his hair, contemplating having a word with the i.t. department about the inadequate wifi on the upper floors of the skyscraper.
finally, the picture materializes, and his eyes instantly recognize your puffy lips, partially closed eyes, and tousled hair. it's your side profile, delicately nestled in the corner of the selfie, against his own bed sheets and black pillow. and there, lying peacefully, is his baby girl, occupying the space where he would typically sleep. her tiny fists rest atop her head, one of them holding onto your carefully manicured index finger. her dainty mouth forms a slight pout, much like her father's sleeping habitude. she dons a snug light brown onesie that accentuates her chubby form, complete with bear ears adorning the hood, playfully flopping around her petite head.
san swiftly shuts off his phone, rising from his seat and leaving the room, while his confused and distressed secretary trails behind him. he sends two final messages to you before pressing the elevator button.
to baby: my pretty girls to baby: ill be there in 10
he smiles as the elevator door opens, stepping in.

[20:56] ʀᴇᴀᴄᴛɪᴏɴ ᴛᴏ ʏᴏɴɢ-ʜᴡᴀ ʙᴇɪɴɢ ᴀ ɢɪʀʟ
PAIRING: Jung Wooyoung x F!reader
GENRE: Fluff fluff fluff!!!
WORD COUNT: 1.3k
SYNOPSIS: Although your two sons were the lights of Wooyoung's life, you knew he always wanted a little girl for himself. What if his wishes finally came true..?
Jung Younghoon - 6 | Jung Min-jae - 4 | Jung Yong-hwa - fetus
It was the night, well a certainly special night - your husband's birthday. Well not just that but also, you had decided it would be perfect to have your gender reveal party just a month before your due date. And Wooyoung's birthday just seemed perfect.
You had rented out an elegant resort for the event, the whole garden was filled with beautiful different types of lights illuminating across the place. You had dressed yourself in a flexible pink dress, your huge bump popping out just like your husband loved it. All while he wore a hoodie which was the same colour as yours – pink – the reason was simple: Wooyoung was set that his third child would be a girl, due to which he had picked out and bought you a baby pink coloured dress too.
You knew Wooyoung loved your two sons more than anything in this whole world, they were the reason for his everything at this point – from waking up in the morning to make breakfast for them to going out of his way every time he was on tour to buy them disgustingly expensive clothes and toys – which he shrugged it off saying “They needed it.”
But his heart always longed for having an adorable baby girl, you knew Wooyoung always wanted a girl ever since you had first got pregnant. And after seeing one of his members – Jongho – have a girl too, his heart ached harder for a baby girl.
«“Mama! Look!”» You're pulled out of your thoughts, when your four-year old, Min-jae calls out for you. San had seated himself on the ground, a big bubble wand in his hand while his daughter and your son played with the bubbles. You smile heartwarmingly at your son when you feel a familiar hand intertwine with yours which were on your lap. «“You think it will be a girl?”»
Your head snaps towards your husband who took a seat next to you, «“Of course! You dressed us up in pink, Woo. And don't forget the amount of times you've kept telling me it's a girl during the whole pregnancy, and I believe in your gut.”» You say with a big smile on your face, chuckling as you remembered how he used to speak to your bump as if he knew it was a girl.
«“I mean, it could be a boy-”» Before he could continue his sentence you cut him off by pressing your lips over his. Just before you pull away, you feel his plumpy lips stretch in a smile. «“Stop overthinking, birthday boy, how about we cut the cake, now?”»
Wooyoung could only nod, but just as you were about to stand up from your seat, he leaned his face closer to yours, bringing your nose closer to his own. He nuzzled the tip of his nose against yours and you immediately burst out chuckling, knowing well he would do this.
Wooyoung had found odd comfort in doing that, and seeing that bright smile on his face, you had a relief every time he did that too.
Tumblr media
Your husband held the knife in his hand, keeping it far away from your bump while his other hand held your waist. «“Ya! Jung Wooyoung, just cut the cake already, we're way too excited!”» Hongjoong's exclaim made a fit of giggles and laugh erupt through the little crowd.
«“Should we do a countdown?”» Yunho, who had dressed himself in pink from head to toe, suggested making everyone nod at the idea.
You noticed how Wooyoung's hand noticeably got shaky at every count, and immediately let your comparably small hand cover his, in order to soothe his nerves.
3! «“Ready?”»
2! «“Fuck yea!”»
1! It almost felt like time had stopped when you cut through the cake to be met with the sight of a pink coloured bread with pink cream and sparkles.
Loud cheers erupt from everyone and you are immediately pulled into Wooyoung's embrace. You look up at him to find tiny tears rolling down the corner of his eyes. «“I'm so happy, I-I can't explain it”» You tip-toe to press your lips against his skin as you kiss his tears away. «“Me too, Baby!”»
Your hug is soon joined by your toddlers, and you swiftly break-free from the hold. «“Mama! Appa! We're having a younger sister.”» Young-hoon exclaims in happiness, and Wooyoung is swiftly on his knees next to them. He immediately pulls them into a bear-hug, squishing them in his arms.
«“How about we go shopping for the baby's nursery tomorrow? We can get you your favourite toys you've wanted so badly too.”» As soon as your husband finishes his sentence, his request is replied with a loud series of ‘Yesyesyes’.
«“I can only imagine how much he's going to spoil this girl.”» Yunho speaks up behind you, while you had chosen to stand there to admire your little family. Your head perks up to look at the tall man next to you, «“You mean, Jung Yong-hwa?”»
You give him a sheepish smile as his eyes widen, «“Oh my god, you little shits have already picked out a name?”» You give him a small nod before adding, «“Keep it a secret though, I don't want anyone knowing, especially Hoon and Jae”» You say threateningly, for which Yunho winks at you, as he replied, «“I know how to keep secrets Y/n. For a fact, I knew the gender a day before.”»
You gasp in surprise at that, finally knowing why he was so confident it was a girl. «“Jeong Yunho, you-”» «“Mama!”» You look at the direction from where the sound had come from. And you find your six-year old beckoning you towards him. «“Alright, mama duty is on.”» Yunho jokes before going away, giving you your space.
Tumblr media
«“Appa! What will we name the baby?”» «“When will we decorate her room?”» Your sons threw questions at your husband, who was gladly answering them all, while taking them back to their respective rooms in your house. You follow behind them, folding your arms over your bump while you stand at their doorway, leaning against the frame.
«“Mama! Can we say goodnight to the baby?”» Your six-year old asks, causing the other two to look back at your figure. «“Of course, my babies! Come closer.”» and soon three pairs of feet were running towards you, and little giggles filled the room.
«“Goodnight- whatever your name is, I hope you sleep well!”» You let out a snort followed by your husband's loud laugh at Min-jae's words. You did feel quite guilty for hiding the name from your precious sons, but unfortunately they had inherited their awful secret-keeping skills from their father.
Tumblr media
Your sons were fast asleep when you and Wooyoung were back in your room. You were seated snuggly on his lap, with your head resting against his chest while your eyes stayed on the sight which was blessed to you by the huge glass windows. Wooyoung’s hand stayed Protectively on your bump. «“I love you so much, princess.”»
He whispers soothingly into your ear, his nose nuzzling against the crown of your head. «“Well you're going to have another princess, now”» You chuckle slightly, while leaning forward to peck his jaw. «“And I can't wait to see my other princess, too. I can't wait to give her the same amount of love and spoil her. Our little Jung Yong-hwa.”»
«“Woo”» after a few seconds of settled silence, you call out to him, to which he hums back softly. «“You think we're cruel for hiding the name from Hoon and Jae?”» You ask, to which he hums softly, before saying. «“But I'm sure they would love the name we picked out for their baby sister.”»

[8.17] dad!mingi (ft. dad!wooyoung)
⇀ one kid is one thing. two kids is another thing. three kids ???
⇁ he thank the gods above and below from the past present and future that minjae was such a good first child. what makes him think his eight-month-olds would be the same ??
It was barely morning and Mingi was already up. Minjae, his six year old son woke him up by slapping his cheek (not gently). "Dad," he called out, sitting back as he waited for Mingi to wake up. Mingi groaned and blinked rapidly, trying to wake himself up. "Daaaaad," Minjae called again. Mingi finally sat up whilst nodding his head, "Yeah, yeah, I'm up, I'm up. What's wrong?" He coughed slightly, throat feeling slightly dry.
Minjae scrunched his nose as he pointed to the opened door, "Minhyun and Minhyuk smell funny," he mumbled, still slightly sleepy but awake enough to check on his baby brothers. With a sigh, Mingi sat up and rubbed his face harshly to wake himself more. "Why didn't you wake mommy up?" Mingi's voice was raspy and slightly lower and muffled due to his face being covered by his palm but Minjae heard it loud and clear. His dad's words confused him and he couldn't help but scrunch his nose in confusion, "Mommy's not here, daddy. Mommy's on a mom trip," he stated simply, causing Mingi to pause in realization of the truth. He had forgotten you left last night with your other mom friends. It didn't even occur to him until Minjae mentioned it because he was distracted almost immediately after you left. He was bummed while cleaning the apple sauce off the floor from when Minhyun and Minhyuk threw a tantrum, all the while making sure that Minjae was able to help him out.
Maybe it was truly a good idea that you and he waited four years before trying for another kid because neither of you was expecting twins. It was good that Minjae had turned five years old when the twins were born which was old enough to help the both of you around, especially with his brothers.
"Okay, come on little buddy," With a groan, Mingi got himself up from the bed and stretch slightly before joining Minjae with a grin on his face, "Ready for battle?" Minjae nodded enthusiastically with a big grin on his face.
To say that Mingi was nervous to be left alone for three days with his boys was a huge understatement. He was terrified. He was okay when you left him with Minjae for two hours, six hours tops but three kids is a whole other rodeo. But his nerves immediately melted away when he was actually doing the job. And again, it was mostly because Minjae was there to help him by doing his big boy duties, but still, it was justified. Mingi had managed to wrangle his twins from their beds and brought them to the couch so he could reward Minjae with cartoons as he change his twins' diapers. "Buddy, can you help daddy get the Diaper Genie?" Mingi asked without looking away from his twins. "Sure, daddy," Minjae answered and soon his voice was followed by the soft patters of his steps.
"Okay! Daddy isn't as bad at this as uncle Sannie, huh?" Mingi was so focused on cleaning his boys and putting clean diapers on them that he started talking to himself. It was a habit that he never realized until you pointed it out and it seemed that the habit appeared more once he had his boys. As if they understood, Mingi heard giggles from Minhyun and garbled gibberish from Minhyuk like he was replying. "Aww, thank you, boys. Now we can show mommy that daddy isn't hopeless!" The more he spoke, the more his twins enjoyed it, replying on and on like they were having a conversation.
It wasn't until Mingi heard a groan from behind him that he shifted his attention from his twins. Minjae was trying his best to be independent, being the big brother that he was by doing the task his dad had given him without any help. Though, it was VERY obvious that he was struggling with how his eyebrows furrowed and his tongue stuck out the side of his mouth, grunts and groans following his steps. "Whoah there, little man," Immediately, Mingi left his twins to aid his eldest but Minjae whined stubbornly, "No! I wanna help! Big brother duty!" despite Mingi trying, Minjae was trying his best to avoid his dad's grasp by moving around. Though frustrating, Mingi could only chuckle at how adorable he was being so he backed off and tried to guard his son from tripping or falling. As a dad, Mingi had the luxury of laughing things off and letting his son (and later on, sons) be as rambunctious as they wanted because he has you who knows what to do. But in this situation, he was a solo parent on a solo mission so if anything were to happen, it's his ass on the line and possibly on a stick when you come back home. Each step Minjae took with the empty and light yet large-sized item in his hand was like the devil increasing his stress level. He trusted that his son could do the simple task but he didn't trust the furniture to not injure his precious babies.
When Minjae finally set the Diaper Genie down, Mingi was finally able to let out the breath he was holding. A sudden rush of relief washed over Mingi and he felt a sense of pride for himself for being able to handle the stress so well and for his son who did his duty well.
"Dad, where are Minhyun and Minhyuk?"
Until that moment.
The couch where Mingi had put his clean babies was empty and there were no signs of them anywhere, not a cry, not a giggle, not a peep. "Oh God, okay, where are they?" panic was evident in Mingi's voice as he started looking under the couch for his twins as Minjae helped, both very confused and worried about the twins' disappearing act. "Where could they be?" Mingi huffed, trying to think of where his babies who were barely able to crawl could be.
"Daddy, I found them!"
Mingi rushed to Minjae's side, looking at where he was pointing to see both twins perfectly fine on the nook under the side table of the couch. God knows how they both got there, but they didn't look distraught and that was what was important. It was rather odd though as the couch and the floor had quite the height difference and one should assume that if babies were to fall off, even onto the soft carpet under, there would at least be a soft thud and a cry. After all, it was still a fall. "How did you boys get here?" It was quite the attempt to take them out carefully, not wanting to hurt them or even leave a mark on them. With steady and careful hands, Mingi took one twin out and handed him over to Minjae who placed them gently on the play mat that he had dragged close and then took out the other and put him on the mat himself. On Mingi's part, it was rather worrisome, thinking about the how, the why, the ifs, and the what of the ordeal. But to the twins, it felt more like a fun ride than anything else, they were giggling and smiling happily at Mingi, happy to see their dad and brother.
Even when Mingi left the twins to play on their own with Minjae close to them, he still couldn't shake the anxiety that something had happened to the twins. Something he didn't realize. He must have not realized it because he was never left alone with them before. Anything and everything that happened was ALWAYS under your watch and you know every red sleep line, every mark, every weird feeling of soft bumpy baby head that belonged to either one of your twins or your eldest. You got mom instincts and honestly, the only thing Mingi can have is the anticipation of having the hot dad bod in at least a decade. It was starting to freak him out, the worrying over his babies. Maybe their lack of cries is a sign that they had trauma and that they were just still in shock. Maybe Mingi should have immediately brought the twins to the ER. But then the hospital would contact you and then you'll know that he's incompetent and was incapable of being left all alone with your children.
"Okay, yeah no, I'm not taking any risk."

Wooyoung grumpily stomped his foot to the front door where he know Mingi was due to the incessant panic knocking and the fact that he saw Mingi's panicked face in his doorbell monitor, demanding Wooyoung to open his door and help him. It didn't occur to Wooyoung that Mingi would have his twins strapped onto his chest and back while Minjae was grinning brightly at him on Mingi's baby-bag-free side with his hand in Mingi's grasp.
"You've got to help me," Mingi said, pushing past Wooyoung into the apartment despite not receiving an invitation to come inside. "Hi, Mingi, pleasant to see you again. I've had an awesome morning with Woohee and we are in the middle of having breakfast. Would you and your offsprings like to come in?" Sarcasm dripped from Wooyoung's voice as he rolled his eyes and proceeded to close his front door. "Woohee, sweetie," Wooyoung called out to his daughter who was enjoying her dad's homemade waffle, passing Mingi who was putting his damned Jesus sandals away as he instructed Minjae on how to store his own shoes, "Look who came by! It's your friend Minjae!" A gasp was heard from inside the house and within seconds, a little girl in pigtails, a missing front tooth, and bunny pyjamas with matching bunny ears appeared with a large grin that matched her dad's. The second she saw her friend, she squealed and rushed to envelop Minjae in a tight hug that was reciprocated equally. The two children ran off together, possibly to the dining table so Woohee could finish her waffles and Minjae could have a bite.
Wooyoung was about to ask what happened when Mingi suddenly grabbed him by the neckline of his sleeping shirt and pulled him close to his face, "Help me!" he exclaimed, still panicking. "Whoah, whoah, whoah! Easy there!" It was hard, but Wooyoung managed to shove Mingi's strong grip off of him, "Tell me what happened." The speed Mingi was talking was inhuman, it was too quick for Wooyoung to follow but thankfully, he had years of practice by hearing Hongjoong and Seonghwa scold him long into the night and only focusing on the parts that mattered. So far, Wooyoung got '(y/n) on mom trip', 'alone with babies', 'barely looked over', 'babies off the couch', and 'trauma-induced state'. "Okay, so?" Wooyoung was confused as to why Mingi was so panicky and out of breath and it frustrated Mingi slightly. "Don't you see? I think there's something wrong with my babies from the fall and I don't know what to do! And I can't just go to the hospital because what if they called (y/n) and then called the CPS on me?" it was obvious that Mingi was too distraught to make sense but Wooyoung had to admit that it was a rather entertaining sight to see.
Understanding Mingi, however, Wooyoung took a second to look at the twins who were strapped on his body. Both twins were facing forward with Minhyun on the front, and Minhyuk on the back with his face peering over Mingi's shoulders. Wooyoung looked at them closely one by one, inspecting them to see if he could see anything alarming but the twins were simply grinning and giggling happily at them. "Honestly man," Wooyoung shrugged as he crossed his arms in front of his chest, "I can't see anything wrong with them. They seemed perfectly fine to me." Mingi's jaw dropped and he scoffed, "No, you don't get it," huffing, it was as if Mingi couldn't accept that Wooyoung was not seeing what he was fearing, "They're not crying, man. They suffered a fall and they're not crying! They haven't been crying since their mom left and I think I somehow messed them up!" Mingi's voice was slowly increasing an octave each second and hearing this, his twins giggled happily as they thought it was funny.
Now understanding Mingi's subtext, Wooyoung groaned and threw his head back in frustration. "Good God man, they're not crying because they like you! They're happy with you! Because you're a good dad!" he pointed out, emphasizing each word as best as he could so Mingi would understand. Honestly, that possibility had not registered Mingi's mind and he was in denial over the fact. "B-but..." when he looked down on one twin and peeked at his brother on his back, he saw them looking at him with nothing but happiness, "They're not... Crying..." it was clear that the possibility of his twins being happy with him was a rather foreign concept and honestly, Wooyoung couldn't blame him. But he was still petty because his friend had interrupted his peaceful morning with his princess. "Dude, why are you not listening to me? They're not crying because they don't have any reason to cry! You want cries? Here," Wooyoung proved his point by taking Minhyun from his chest carrier which immediately caused him to cry and with that, as an automatic response, Minhyuk began crying too. "There, they're crying now," Wooyoung stated simply, placing Minhyun back in his carrier that seemed to lower the volume of his cries because he was finally returned to the safe embrace of his dad. Mingi immediately wrapped his arms around Minhyun as he rocked his body in to calm Minhyuk down too. Though Wooyoung had deliberately made his twins cry, he couldn't help but grin widely as he finally accepted the fact. "Hey, they're not crying because I'm a good dad!" his tone was much lighter and he sounded much happier with the notion, realizing that Wooyoung was in fact right.
Despite it being a happy moment, Wooyoung still couldn't believe how ridiculous his friend was being. Though, he liked seeing his friend so happy with the realization that he was in fact a good dad and he was capable of handling his own children. "Good for you man, now you may join us once your children calmed down," was all Wooyoung said before he walked off to join his daughter and Mingi's eldest for breakfast.
Still rocking his twins, Mingi couldn't help the seemingly permanently etched grin on his face. "Don't worry babies, the bad man is gone now, daddy's here to protect you from the gremlin who made you cry," he cooed. "I heard that," Wooyoung loudly grumbled mid-bite of his waffle but Mingi couldn't care less.

He’s been working so hard for the group's comeback, for a few days he hasn’t been home and that puts a worry on your 6 year old daughter. The school was giving out student of the month awards and your child was picked from her class.
You had told Hongjoong in advance so he can have that day off for his daughter, he was sure to have it cleared, but as the comeback was near he hasn’t been home lately or been calling you.
“Mama are you sure appa is coming” your daughter says
“ I’m sure he will go sit down with your other classmates”
The ceremony has started but no Hongjoong, you tried texting and calling but no response.
You decided to message his fellow members to see if hongjoong is still alive, unfortunately they also didn’t answer.
As your daughter's name was called you can see her looking in your direction, her smile dropping when she sees her dad not present.
She went back to her seat looking down, a single tear slipped from her cheek.
When the ceremony was over she went walking to your seat slipping her head in your lap.
“He didn’t come” she sniffled.
“Its okay my love he's probably busy”
“Can we go home now” she asked
You took the certificate from her and carried her back to the car.
You were hoping hongjoong would be home by then but as expected the house was empty.
“Mama can i nap” your daughter asked
“Of course lets get you changed first.”
After changing your daughter and tucking her in you decided to start dinner early.
As you were cooking you heard the door unlocked, you knew who it was.
Hongjoong came into the kitchen and went behind you resting his head on your shoulder.
He leaned in to kiss your cheek only for you to pull away
“You really messed up today” you looked at him
“ i know im sorry-”
“Don’t apologize to me, it wasn't me who you let down”
He got the hint and with that he went into your daughter’s room who was asleep with dried tears.
He gently stroked the girl's head, feeling guilty he had let his little girl down.
“Angel wake up” he whispered
The girl stirred in her sleep turning her back to him.
He ended up shaking her just a little bit hoping she would wake up
She slowly started to wake up looking around locking eyes with her dad
She let out a pout turning her back to him again
“Angel are you mad at me”
“Yes” she sniffled
“Im sorry, I was at work-”
“You’re always working”
He sighs picking her up sitting her on his lap wiping the tears that were starting to spill
“Please don’t be mad Angel”
“You promised”
“I know please forgive me, I took the week off so i can spend time with you” he says
“Its not the same” she pouted
“I know Angel, why don’t you show me your award” Hongjoong sets her daughter down as she goes to her little desk grabbing the piece of paper.
Hongjoong grabs smiling as he reads his daughters name printed on the certificate
“I'm proud of you my Angel” he patted the girls hair
“I got you a little cake to celebrate want to go eat it” he asked
The girl quickly nodded, Hongjoong scooped up the girl in his arms giving her kisses on the cheek, carrying her downstairs.
“I promise from now on any award you receive i will be there in the front row”

I Wanna Be Where... - J.Yunho
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tags/Warning: Absolute fluff, dad!Yunho, mentions of pregnancy/periods, no gendered terms for reader, reader has a uterus, very little editing lmao, this was inspired by a tiktok I saw!
Word Count: 1.7k
Playlist:
“Cute” by Prod by Rose “Part of Your World” by Halle Bailey
You and Jeong Yunho would consider yourselves very lucky people.
You married your soulmate. Someone who understood you and communicated with you well. He could read you better than anyone and knew you better than you sometimes knew yourself. He made sure to look after you, even if you struggled to look after yourself. Made sure to bring you water if he noticed you hadn’t been drinking enough. Offered to grab you a snack if you had been busy for a while. You didn’t have to tell him if you were stressed out with something - he would already be giving you a kiss on the cheek and a gentle smile, letting you know how much he loved you and how he knows that “you’ve got this.”
Yunho knew you were the only one for him. You held him close to your heart on the nights when everything felt a bit too overwhelming for him. When work became overbearing, and he needed an escape, you were that. You were there to bring a smile to his face no matter what. You gave him real and honest advice that he needed to hear. Told him when he was pushing himself too far, and to give himself a break. Accepted his hand when he offered you to sway to the light music playing from his record player.
You both felt so lucky to be gifted with two beautiful daughters. Your six-year-old, Jieun, was almost identical to her father. Her smile and her energy completely matched your husband, not to mention her squishy cheeks. She was a complete surprise when you realized your period had not come after a month, but both Yunho and you were ecstatic to meet her.
And your four-year-old, Daeun, was your tiny twin. She had your eyes, lips, and ears, but Yunho’s nose, something she shared with her older sister. She was a bit quieter than Jieun, preferring to draw more often than not, but enjoyed playing with her and their shared toys. And there was one specific thing that would always tie them together.
When the new Ariel movie came out, your daughters begged and pleaded for you to take them both. She was their favorite Disney princess, having watched the original cartoon roughly over a dozen times in the past year. When the new live-action movie was announced, they jumped in excitement, wanting to see Ariel in person.
It was a complete shame and disappointed them both, however, that both Yunho and you had been completely busy for the entire month the movie came out. Yunho had been training for work, preparing for another comeback. Your job had overloaded you with assignments that you ended up having to take home, staying up a bit later than usual to work and finalize them. It absolutely broke your heart to see both of your sweet girls upset. And it got you to muster up a plan on how to give them a little treat.
After putting your girls to sleep one night, you laid back in bed with your husband as he read a book he had been trying to get you interested in.
“Love?” You poked his cheek to draw his attention, to which he immediately turned to you and put his bookmark on the page he was at, setting the book on his nightstand.
“Yes, baby?”
“I think we should have a little family movie night with the girls,” you smiled, grabbing his hand once it was free. He hummed, a small smile gracing his face.
“I think that would be cool, love. We haven’t really had time together as a family, I suppose.”
“No, not really. And they were really looking forward to seeing the new Ariel movie. I figured that since you have off tomorrow, I can maybe call in sick, and while the girls are at school we can set up the house for a full movie night. Maybe move the furniture around a bit, I can cook up some snacks themed around Ariel or the ocean in general, and we all just hang out together.”
Yunho watched you as you spoke excitedly, with such passion in your eyes, talking about putting together something that would mean so much to your daughters. It always made him fall even deeper in love with you, knowing how much affection you held for your shared family. It was evident in how you had planned out this entire project.
You looked at him expectantly, waiting for him to say something. Instead, his smile grew wider, and he grabbed the side of your face to bring you in for a kiss. It took you by surprise, but you would never deny the warmth of his lips. When he finally pulled away, he rested his forehead on yours, looking into your eyes.
“You are so amazing. And I know our daughters are absolutely going to love this.”
Warmth filled your chest at his words, and you threw your arms around his neck to give him a tight hug.
You held Yunho’s hand that rested on your leg as you smiled giddily, watching as kids piled into the cars and buses. Your heart beat fast, excited to have your daughters in the car and surprise them with your husband’s presence. Usually, it would only be you picking them up after work, but with his day off he was able to drive with you to get them, and you knew it would shock them as neither of you told them about his free day. So as your car pulled up close to the sidewalk, the girls mindlessly hopped in, they laughed and jumped up to give him a hug around the neck.
“Appa! You’re here!” Jieun smiled with a toothy grin, eyes sparkling at him as she buckled Daeun in first before herself.
“Yes, sweetheart, I had a day off and wanted to spend it completely with the best people I know.” He grinned, looking at her through the rearview mirror to ensure they were both settled before shifting the car back into drive. You admired your husband’s features; how much he lit up when it came to his babies. He fell into the dad role so effortlessly when Jieun was born. Of course, he had his worries, but they passed as he learned his way around raising two girls, just as you had. To him, you and your two daughters were his entire world, no question about it.
“Girls,” you turned around in your seat to look at your daughters. “Since Appa is off today, we were thinking about having a fun day in. We have a very special surprise for you both when we get home. What do you both think?” You watched as both their eyes widened at the promise of a surprise, and they nodded their heads in agreeance with your offer. It made your chest warm inside, seeing your girls so happy.
When you four finally got home, you walked your girls to the front door before stopping them from barreling inside. You squatted down until you were their height, holding both their hands.
“Okay, loves. I told you it was a surprise, so what I need you both to do is put your hands over your eyes. And don’t peek!” Your playful tone made them grin, and Jieun gave you a thumbs-up before they both covered their eyes. You stood back to your full height, looking at your husband as he unlocked the door, holding Jieun’s shoulders to help guide her as you had Daeun.
You had them kick off their shoes at the front door and maneuvered them around the furniture until they stood right in the middle of the living room. You looked at your husband before nodding at him.
“Alright girls, you can look.”
And as you watched as their hands fell from their faces, you knew that this is truly where you were meant to be.
Their eyes widened impossibly big as their mouths dropped in shock.
The projector placed carefully behind them cast the title screen for the movie onto a bare wall, and as your husband grabbed the remote to unmute it, “Part of Your World” started to play through. The girls looked around at how the couches were moved, making a semi-fortress filled with blankets.
On the kitchen island, an assortment of foods were spread out. Blue jello dessert with gummy sharks and crabs in it, sand made from crumbled-up graham crackers that had rock candy littered in it, sandwiches cut up to create dolphin shapes, and a big fruit tray meticulously ordered to look like a big turtle. Blue and green Koolaid filled two pitchers, and their favorite cups were set out waiting for them.
Daeun started jumping up and down squealing, something you had never heard from her before. Jieun dropped her backpack off her shoulders and ran to give your waist a hug. You patted her hair and leaned down to kiss the crown of her head. She then peeled away from you to run to her father’s waiting arms, getting picked up and twirled around by him. Daeun came up to you next, holding her hands up at you, waiting to be picked up. You let out a gentle laugh before grabbing her up and giving her kisses on her cheek.
“Why don’t the two of you go get changed into your Ariel dresses and we can then all eat and watch the movie together, yea?” Daeun nodded as you set her down, running to follow Jieun as they went to their shared bedroom to change.
Yunho looked back at you as you looked at the hallway fondly, heart feeling so full at being able to do something that makes your daughters so happy. He walked over, wrapping his arms around your waist and pulling you into him. The smell of his cologne washed over you, and you both gently swayed to the song as he sang along to it.
And at that moment, hearing your husband’s voice, hearing your daughters’ excited laughs as they run back out to jump on the couch that you had pushed together, you realized this was where you wanted to be. Right where your people were.

Tumblr media
KIM HONGJOONG x ARTIST!F!READER ( fake dating, strangers to friends to lovers )
you felt stupid for some reason. like you should have never agreed to doing the blind date your friend insisted on setting up for you.
mainly because right now you are getting stood up, it’s been twenty minutes past the time you were suppose to meet your date and now you just feel silly. maybe you should just go home.
“um, excuse me, are you y/n?” a voice asks behind you and you turn to see probably one of the most handsomest men you have ever seen.
everything about him was just so put together. his split hair being eye catching and his outfit just being so stylish makes you feel underdressed if you’re being honest.
“yes! I’m y/n, are you hongjoong?”
“haha, yes i am, sorry i was late. i got caught up with work,” he says before he’s walking you towards the restaurant doors. “shall we go in and talk?”
you nod and can’t help the heat going to your cheeks as he opens the door for you before following close behind you into the restaurant.
“to be honest, i only agreed to this date because my friend has been pressuring me to try and date,” he says and you feel an odd twist in your stomach. he didn’t even want to be on this date.
so that’s why he was late, you think to yourself as you nod at his words. granted at first you weren’t that excited to be going on a blind date, but you really did want to get out there and start dating.
“my friend insisted i go on this date as well. she tells me that maybe going on a few dates here and there would help with my creative block that i’ve been in for the past few months,” you tell him with a laugh and he nods at your words.
“i hate creative blocks,” he says as he runs a hand through his split colored hair. “what do you do for a living?”
“i’m an artist. i do a lot of commission paintings and illustrations for children books. i also do paintings for myself and a few galleries here and there when they want me.”
“you’re an artist? that sounds amazing,” he says and you notice the immediate stars appearing in his eyes and you feel a sudden boost in your ego. “i think if i wasn’t so in love with music, i would definitely have become a painter.”
“hey, i suddenly just had an idea,” hongjoong says which quickly earns your attention as you look up from your food. “this might seem crazy, but what do you think about pretending to date?”
“pretending to date? what do you mean?”
“well it’s obvious that i’m not interested in actually dating and you’re in a creative block, so what if we help each other out. we pretend to date so i can get my friend off my back and when we do hangout, i help you try to get out of your creative block. a win-win if you ask me.”
god, what kind of fanfic are you living in right now. fake date an idol? that sounds like a recipe for disaster, but you can’t ignore how tempting it sounds. you really do need to get out of your creative block soon in time for the next exhibit and maybe doing painting based on love could be a good thing to try.
“okay, let’s do it.”
hongjoong smiles at your words before saying, “can’t wait to fake date you!”
Tumblr media
PARK SEONGHWA x IDOL!F!READER ( strangers to lovers, nct added member )
you looked so pretty, sitting there along with the other hosts is what seonghwa thought as he watched you from where he was sitting with his members. he licked his lips, stars in his eyes as he still couldn’t wrap his head around seeing you.
his members would tease him later but he didn’t care. you’ve been his celebrity crush for a while now, even back when he was a trainee, he’s adored you.
and recently he found out that he was your ideal type. he felt like it was a huge ego boost. he wanted to talk to you, but at the same time he was nervous.
some of his members — i.e wooyoung and san — told him he should give you his number while they were in the show. he tried arguing with them, telling them no and that he honestly couldn’t because what if you rejected him. he couldn’t handle such a rejection from you.
“you should just try it, hyung, i’m sure she’ll say yes,” san said and once they all took a break in filming it was san who pushed seonghwa over towards you.
“hi, um, i’m ateez’s seonghwa,” he says and cringes at how he chose to introduce himself.
“oh, hi, it’s nice to you meet finally you seonghwa! i’m nct’s y/n,” you say as the two of you bow to each other.
“i just wanted to say that i’ve been a big fan of yours for a while and wanted to know if you would want to hangout sometime?”
you look surprised by his sudden question and seonghwa wonders if maybe he crossed a line, but your words are quick to make him think otherwise.
“o-of course! i would love to hangout sometime!” you say and seonghwa can’t help but find you extremely adorable in this moment.
“do you… maybe want to exchange numbers?”
“yes, sure, of course!” you say and seonghwa laughs at your response as he pulls his phone out while you do the same. you two are quick to exchange numbers before the producers are calling for everyone to return to the spots. “i guess we’ll talk later, right?”
“definitely.”
“great, good luck on your group’s performance!” the two of you wave before you walk off and seonghwa can’t help the lovestruck feeling that over takes him.
“soooo… how did it go?” san asks coming up to the eldest member with a sly smirk.
“shut up,” seonghwa says before shoving san slightly and walking back to join the rest of the members.
Tumblr media
JEONG YUNHO x GAME DEVELOPER!F!READER ( strangers to lovers, dad!yunho )
you were use to being alone. especially since you started living abroad in korea away from your friends and family you had grown up with and cherished. you often relied on memories to keep you company, but recently one of your coworkers told you a solution to your loneliness.
“a dog?” you had only thought about getting a pet a few times, but concluded that maybe getting one while being abroad wasn’t the best idea. your job wasn’t always the most stable as any game you and your team were working on could get cancelled last minute. plus you were still slowly trying to figure out how to take care of yourself, let alone a dog.
“you should think about it! there’s an adoption center nearby, so maybe check it out sometime,” they told you and only agreed to think about it.
and think about it you did because the next thing you knew, you were making your way to the adoption center.
you were going to adopt a dog.
you decided that maybe it was for the best to adopt a dog, maybe having someone else to take care of would make you less lonely. and of course it would get you out of the house more…
and that’s exactly what is happening three weeks after you adopted a cute labrador retriever named lily who you just immediately connected with. she has a lot of energy, that’s for sure but you don’t mind.
that’s actually how you found yourself at the park, playing fetch with her. throwing the bright yellow ball and watching lily as she goes and retrieves it.
you watch as she runs back to you, ball in her mouth as she drops it in front of you. picking it up, you toss it and your surprised by how far it goes. watching the ball land in the ground and roll to a complete stranger, a black cap on his head and mask pulled up over his face. the stranger picks the ball up right as lily comes barreling towards him.
“wait, lily!” you shout as you watch her pounce the man and you immediately take off towards the two. “oh my gosh, i am so sorry!”
the man laughs as he shakes his head and gives lily the ball. lily turns to run back to you, but seems surprised and happy to see you right there next to her.
“no worries, i probably shouldn’t have picked the ball up,” he says and even if he’s wearing a mask, you can tell he’s smiling from how his eyes crinkle.
“still i am so sorry, i just adopted her and we’re still learning,” you say, feeling an embarrassed heat take over your face.
“really, don’t worry about, but if you still feel guilty how about you take me to get some coffee? i know a good dog friendly café that’s nearby,” he says as he bends down to pet lily.
wow, he’s smooth. “o-oh, uh, sure! um, i’m y/n and this is lily!” you say and cringe at how a little too excited you seemed.
“i’m yunho.”
Tumblr media
KANG YEOSANG x FASHION STUDENT!F!READER ( idol and fan to friends to lovers )
you actually managed to get into a fansign. and one for your ult group nonetheless. you were so excited that you almost threw up, twice. but you didn’t! then as the day drew closer, you got more nervous. you were worried about what would happen if you accidentally made a fool of yourself in front of your favorite group.
oh god what if you tripped! no, don’t think like that because then you will definitely trip.
when the day finally came, you made sure to dress cutely. despite knowing that none of the members would probably remember you, you still wanted to look cute so that you could look back fondly on this memory.
however, what was suppose to be a good day with meeting your favorite group soon turned into probably the worst day you’ve had in a while.
first you had to chase after your cat after she managed to escape your apartment. then you miss your bus by a second — you literally watched it take off as you were running down the crowded street to make it. so in a hurry you grab a cab in order to take you to the fansign. thankfully you managed to grab a cab fairly easy and arriving there was also just as easy.
however, it started going down once again when you tried to enter the fansign and the guard stops you.
“sorry this is a fake ticket,” he says before handing you your paper back. you’re completely shocked as you look at him.
“w-what?” you are easily pushed aside by the other fans behind you and you let them as you are still in shock. you were scammed into believing you had actually won a fansign with ateez.
what kind of cruel world is this you think as you walk outside the building and onto the steps. you know you probably shouldn’t be sitting here, but your legs don’t allow you to go any further. even after the fansign started, you find yourself still sitting on the steps. you can only faintly hear ateez from inside along with all the lucky atiny who didn’t get scammed.
when the fansign is over and all the fans had seemingly left, you find yourself on a nearby bench. you can’t help but look at your ateez album and wondering how this day that was suppose to be a great one turned out to be so… disheartening.
“excuse me,” a deep voice startles you from your thought and you turn to see… yeosang standing next to you. “did you go to the fansign?” he asks, gesturing to your album.
“o-oh, no, i didn’t. i had a fake ticket,” you say before you quickly wonder why you are explaining it to him.
“oh, i’m sorry…” he says trailing off before you watch something click in his head as his whole face lights up, “do you mind if i take it for a moment?” he asks, again gesturing to your album and you willingly hand it over. “what’s your name?”
“y/n.”
once he has your album, he motions for you to say before he dashes off back into the building. it’s several minutes later when he returns and hands you back your… now signed album.
“thank you for supporting ateez,” he says with a small bow before a man — who you assume is his manager — calls for him and yeosang is soon disappearing back into the building with a small smile and wave as a quick goodbye.
what… just happened? you look at your album, quickly opening it and flipping through the pages to notice how each member had signed it. however you notice something different when you get to yeosang’s pages.
“sorry you got scammed, but hopefully this makes it better! btw you looked cute, so smile okay? xx-xxx-xxx”
did you just get kang yeosang’s number?
Tumblr media
CHOI SAN x COLLEGE STUDENT!F!READER ( idol and fan to friends to lovers )
no way. no fucking way. this was not happening. there was no way THE choi san was standing right in front of you while you dressed like an elderly woman. not that there was anything wrong with dressing like an elderly woman, but meeting your bias while dressed as such was not ideal.
“oh? are you the exchange student my grandma was talking about?” oh shit, his grandmother talked about you to him.
“u-um, y-yeah, i’m y/n,” wow, smooth y/n, real smooth.
“ah, well if you need help with anything while i’m here let me know,” he says with a smile before turning and walking away leaving you a little dumbfounded.
you watch him walk back into the room that is only just down the hall from yours and felt your heart jump down to your stomach. holy crap, choi san is staying only a few rooms from you. what kind of fanfic trope is this?!
this had to be a dream, this had to be anything but real. you refuse to believe it. you slowly closed your bedroom door, walked over to your bed, and grabbed your pillow before screaming into it.
these next two weeks were going to be interesting, that’s for sure.

SONG MINGI x WEBTOON ARTIST!F!READER ( strangers to friends to lovers )
mingi felt weird. not weird in a bad way, but just felt… weird. actually he wasn’t really sure how to explain it. his mom had asked him to go greet their new neighbor who was his age.
was this her way of trying to get him to start dating? to have him meet her new neighbor and have them just… fall in love?
but even if it was weird, mingi didn’t argue or question his mom and so that’s how he found himself standing in front of your door ready to knock and introduce himself.
when he did knock, it took a few minutes before someone eventually came to the door. and mingi won’t lie, you looked like you hadn’t seen another human for a few days with how disheveled you looked.
he wasn’t trying to judge you or anything, but it was quite obvious.
“can i help you?” you ask after you both stood there in silence for a few moments.
“o-oh, um, i’m mingi. my mom lives next door and wanted me to give you this as a welcome present,” he says presenting the kimchi he almost forgot he had in his hands.
you glanced down at his hands and noticed the container of kimchi. he seen you hesitate for a moment before you took it with gentle hands and that was probably the softest thing he’d witnessed from you since meeting you less than five minutes ago.
“thank you,” you said before going back into your apartment and closing the door behind you.
“so how did it go?” his mom asked once he returned. mingi still felt like the interaction happened a little too fast for his liking.
“it was… okay. she’s seems… interesting.”
“good! maybe this could be the start of a new friendship!”
“yeah, a new friendship.”

JUNG WOOYOUNG x IDOL!F!READER ( strangers to friends )
“just talk to him, y/n, what could go wrong?” your group member insisted as you both stood near the vending machines at music show.
“a lot could go wrong and then i would just end up looking stupid in front of him and never be able to show my face in front of him again,” you told her and she gave you a pointed look as if to say really? but yes, really!
“come on, y/n, why don’t we go visit him and his group under the guise of giving them our album? maybe then you can get the chance to talk to him,” she suggests and you are about to deny it when she stops you and drags you back to your group’s dressing room.
which is how you all end up knocking on ateez’s dressing room door, your group’s album clutched tightly in your grip. when ateez’s manager opens the door, your leader bows and introduces you all and tells him how you wish to gift ateez a copy of your album.
“hello, we are visage,” you all say in unison before ateez is quick to also introduce themselves.
“we were just wanting to gift you all a copy of our album,” your leader says before gesturing to you who was still tightly holding onto the album.
your other group member gives you a light push which makes you step forward. your eyes flicker between wooyoung and the album before you’re quickly holding the album out for the dancer to take. could you have been any more obvious about your feelings? probably, but you didn’t want to think about it.
you really wish a giant hole would open up on the ground and swallow you up right now. wooyoung only smiles as he takes the album from you and you step back in your spot between your members.
your leader and hongjoong speak a little bit more before your group leaves and once back in the safety of your dressing room, you collapse onto the leather couch. again, can a giant hole just please swallow you up. you lay there for several minutes, just accepting that you probably made a fool of yourself in front of your crush.
ding! you look up and at your phone to see you got a text from an unknown number
‘hey this is wooyoung! love your dance covers let’s hangout sometime and film one together!!!’

CHOI JONGHO x PRODUCER!F!READER ( co-workers to lovers )
jongho felt his jaw dropped when he was told that you would be working for kq and especially with ateez. how the company managed that is beyond him, but he’s not complaining.
of course his first time meeting you could have gone better than him causing you a nose bleed, but alas not everything goes as plan.
jongho doesn’t even remember all of what happened. one minute he was waiting to record his lines when he had to use the bathroom. so when he opens the door, he opens it smacking you in the face and watching you fall to the floor. your bag falling and papers scattering around you and jongho feels like his soul should have left his body.
“oh fuck, i am so sorry, are you okay?” he asks quickly bending down to help you pick your stuff up when he looks over to notice some blood dripping down your nose. jongho feels even worse as he immediately tries to help you even quicker. “oh god, your nose is bleeding! again, i’m so sorry!”
“i-it’s okay! i wasn’t paying any attention. i should be the one apologizing,” you say as you take a tissue out and attempt to stop your nose bleed.
“i can’t believe i gave my favorite producer a nose bleed,” jongho mumbles as you can’t help but laugh at how cute he is acting. the pout on his face doing wonders to make him fit into the role of the maknae, that you are well aware that he doesn’t always fit into.
“i’m your favorite producer?” you ask, eyes shining and jongho realizes that you heard him.
“y-yes, i love a lot of your songs even your solo stuff. your first album has always been a personal favorite of mine,” he says as he helps you stand, your bag now in his hands as he gently opens the door for you.
“well i’m a fan of your voice,” you say as you take your bag from him, “and i can’t wait to work with you jongho,” you say before walking into the studio and leaving jongho by himself in the hallway.
“she likes my voice.”
