From: Rea Vorte <[email protected]> To: Untitled Mail Group (DO NOT USE) Date: XX/XX/2022 Subject: Flashing images? So, since VM1 has absolutely crashed, and since we can’t figure out exactly what we’re going to do to fix it, I figured this might be a good time to bring something up.

About a week or so before VM1 virus locked Paula’s computer, whenever I was gathering data sometimes the VM would flicker? I don’t really know how to describe it honestly. One second, it’d be running through like normal, and if you blinked you’d miss it. Sometimes it’d just flash with a black screen.

The best way I could describe it is like sometimes when you open the save bar after Entity AF191[...] is deleted, and sometimes there’s that flash of Entity A5814 [...] that lasts for less than 2 seconds. If you saw it, you couldn’t understand what you saw, and if you blinked or looked away, you’d have no idea it was even there.

Originally, I just thought it was MES’ computers acting up, we all know how old these computers are. I didn’t think to report anything (sorry Paula...) since I figured the screens were finally on their downfall and were just struggling to handle VM1. It didn’t help that all I could see was a black screen, no random image, no nothing.

Well, the day before the lock happened, the flickers were getting really bad, and it was getting pretty annoying. At that point I considered the possibility that it wasn’t the computers failing, and rather, some kind of message from VM1, so I did the best I could and managed to access some old screen recording software from the computers, and recorded and waited. This is what I was able to find. (Image attached at bottom of email.) I swear to god I can see something in the image. It looks like a smudge, but I swear I see something, and I need to make sure I’m not going crazy. Every time I try to manipulate the image, nothing about it changes. It’s odd. If anyone finds some sort of image, or some weird message in it, let me know ASAP. This is starting to keep me up at night.

So we’ve been gone-

Heyyyyy, so it’s been about a month since the last post (yeesh) and I’ve come by to explain why haha

So basically school has been kicking our asses- and we haven’t been able to keep up with making episodes at the moment- (I mean- we literally have half of the next one done- and then everything decided to try and crush us all at once-)

ANYWAYS

We’ve been trying to get the episode done as fast as possible to give you guys content- it’s just hard since it’s the end of the school year and finals haha- BUT I’ve got a bit of a solution

Basically- while we try to pull ourselves out of the hole school/work has dug for us, we’ll do a Q&A!

Ask literally anything! Ask about past posts, things you guys have noticed, possible questions about future lore (though all those answers will be vague >:3 Can’t give anything away too quickly after all-) But whatever you ask- we’ll answer! (or well- Pibby Monika will-)

I know! I know it was stupid! I just figured I could-

I’d be less mad if you had just stashed it, but placing it in VM1? Really?!

How was I supposed to know that Monika was going to-

And again with the names! I’ve told you, Ro, and Lib to stop calling them that. They’re entities. They aren’t names, they’re numbers. And clearly, once you name something you become attached, which was what we’ve tried to prevent.

Paula, if you’d just listen to me you’d understand.

Understand what? That I have to tell the five other people on this project that they’re gonna have to find a new job if we don’t figure this out?

It’s not my fault that Mo- that the entity opened what it shouldn’t have opened! It’s never done anything like that before, you and I know that!

Every single time without fail, that entity opens the same files at the same time, no matter the timeline. It follows a pattern. Why now would it decide to change?

We never add any new files. The entity probably sensed the change and acted upon its code. You should’ve known that.

Tch- you act like you would’ve known that would happen. You and I both know if you were in my shoes you would-

If I were in your shoes I would’ve went to my supervisor! Now all of us are on the line, and I’m not about to be shot behind Metaverse’s building all over your mistake!
