Music is such a big part of life, part of my self empowerment! I found my inspiration in music, music exalt my creativity, I grew up in musical family, my King is a musician and a DJ, music is all around! And what I love most in Music in diversity! My type of music is conscious and meaningful music, don't get me wrong When it's party and dancing time, There is nothing wrong with a lil dancehall and so lol Music is another meditation tool, lyrics are very important to me! I want to hear inspirational stories, positive and empowering messages, I want to be taken on a journey, I want to be inspired, guided. It is hard for me to choose only one favourite Goddess musician as many have been playing a big part in my life! So here is my top 9 From New Soul to Reggae, hip hop to afro beat, jazz to RnB all those amazing women's music has become part of me! From top left to bottom right: @erykahbadu the first female singer I could identify to as a teenager, first time I saw her on tv I was 17 it was like seeing the women I wanted to be! I played her album non stop for 2 years lol my first designs were created listening to #baduism @indiaarie I met her as I was working in a club in Paris where she done her first ever showcase in France, I saw her performing, I fell in love with her vibe and her words. Her lyrics supported me through hard times, she helped stay strong in challeging time. @dezarieroots As a Rasta woman, I love this Empress, her voice is so pure and her lyrics enlightened my spirit! @jah9online is my other beloved Queen of Reggae, I love her jazzy roots sounds, and her great lyrics and I love the woman that she is! In the center the new generation @ibeyi2, the franco cuban yoruba twin sisters, I just love them, their voices and harmonies are beautiful, obviously as twins they have a special connection, only 20 they are so talented! I love the fact that they are well connected with their african yoruba origin
