Brianna Ghey was a 16-year-old trans girl from Warrington, England. On Saturday, February 11th 2023, Brianna was found dead on the side of a park with multiple stab wounds. Two 15-year-olds have been taken into custody in connection with her murder.

People in the Warrington area have alleged that Brianna was being bullied in school, and that neither the administration nor the police did anything.

Despite this, local police have said there is no evidence that the attack was hate-based and most news articles don't mention her status as a trans woman. This is deliberate. This is genocide by the hands of transphobes and TERFs.

Britain does not have gender self-identification (your legal gender being determined by how you identify and not any arbitrary medical requirements), meaning even in her death she will be deadnamed and misgendered on her death certificate.

She deserved so much better.

Mourn the dead, and fight like hell for the living.

Brianna Ghey was a sixteen-year-old trans girl who was killed in England last week. Two kids, male 15 and female 15, fatally stabbed her in a park and the police are claiming it wasn't a hate crime.

There are vigils being held across the country, as well as an amazing attempt to obtain her a posthumous GRC, as she can be remembered in death as she was. UK law says no one under the age of eighteen years may be granted a GRC and they are, unfortunately, sticking to that despite efforts made.

The police don't care, they are attempting to rule her death as the "murder of a young man". The Major Media and news outlets don't care, in fact they are openly misgendering and deadnaming her. They are choosing to print that she was "living as a girl" not the truth in that she was a girl.

Brianna's friends have said the police have done nothing to help the constant bullying she endured while she was alive.

Well, to be honest, I was torn between Mrs. Havisham and Mrs. Marple, while looking for an appropriate nickname. But Mrs. Havisham's story is sad and heavy, plus it did not account for the woman's petulant sleuthing. Thus, Mrs. Marple immediately popped into my brain and stayed.

I don't understand why she was so pissed off, afterwards: the genuine Marple is clever and always spot on, so yes - I was surprised by the very bitter and annoyed reaction, which immediately informed me she had 0 sense of humor.

She could use with great profit this very authentic Edwardian remedy: ' half to one teaspoon, or more if required'.

Oh, well. After all, they do call me 'blunt knife' or 'the cutlery' - little do they know I am in stitches every single time I read it. One can't get mad at a kindergarten, right?

On the eighth of this February, 2024, Nex Benedict, a 16 year old non-binary student from Oklahoma passed away in hospital, a day after being beaten severely in a school restroom by a group of their bullies, and sustaining significant physical trauma to the head. This comes eerily close to the anniversary of the horrific murder of Brianna Ghey, who was the same age as Benedict at the time of her passing. The investigation of Benedict's death is still ongoing, but the facts are clear; our children are not safe, anywhere in the world. This is not just two instances of coincidental circumstance, this is a pattern of violence, transgender adolescents are targets of violence. So remember their names, say them out loud, spend a minute in silence for each and never let the world hear the end of it until the list stops getting longer.

Mary feels more than a bit awkward now that Mistress Fraser has returned. She went from Lallybroch ‘s almost Mistress back to her servant.

 

The arrival of Mrs. Murray ‘s twins keeps her busy for awhile.  Now that they lay sleeping, and Mrs. Murray is well, all that has happened has a chance to sink in.

 

The true Mistress Fraser shares her husband ‘s bed. Their child has everyone wrapped around her pinkie. Now Murtagh, the Godfather, has arrived.

 

She is called into the great room. Entering, she curtsies keeping her head down.

 

Murtagh and Jamie stand at her entrance.

 

“Mary, please have a seat.” Jamie invites. She does.

 

“Mary, let me thank you for all you have done to see to Jamie, in my absence. You and Jenny kept him alive. I can’t express my gratitude to you.” Mistress Fraser says.

 

“You’re welcome, mistress.”

 

“Forgive my tardiness in speaking to you, after our ceremony was … ah, I was quite busy. I am sorry for everything. Had I known Claire would be returning, I would have never agreed to the marriage.”

 

She squares her shoulders. A servant now and once more, she is a lady at heart. Dignity and decorum are necessary now.

 

“I fully understand. She is your wife.”

 

“We haven’t left you without a husband, a father for young Rabbie,” Jamie starts out, “Murtagh has agreed to take your hand in marriage.”

 

Murtagh stands and bows low to her. “Your servant, ma’am. I swear to be a good husband to you, provide for you and our children. I shall treat Rabbie as my own. If you are agreeable to the union. I work as a blacksmith in Inverness. Have a small house there. It isn’t as grand Lallybroch but it is quite cozy. I will expand it as there is need.”

 

She feels torn. Staying here she can see Jamie everyday. But, she will see him with his wife and child. Inverness is far enough away that maybe she can forget him. Murtagh is a good and loyal man. She doesn’t love him but does respect him. He is a strong man who will be a good father for her son.

 

“Thank you, my lord. I gratefully accept your offer.”

 

“Aye, then it will be done.”

 

Later

 

“Mam, he isn’t  Lord Fraser.”

 

“No Rabbie. Lord Fraser’s wife has returned. He belongs with her. Mr. Fraser is a good man. He will provide a stable home for us.”

 

A month later, she again stands in the great room, holding a different pair of hands. Jamie and Claire, with Brianna, stand as witnesses with Fergus . The Murray ‘s with their children and her own son are also present.

 

This wedding ceremony isn’t  interrupted. A ring is slipped on her finger, they are pronounced husband and wife, and he kisses her.

 

A bit later

 

A celebration is held. A local singer provides the entertainment. Mrs. Crook the food. Rabbie provides the drama.

 

In the front garden with the older Murray children and Bree, he walks over and pushes her. “It is your fault mam wasn’t  able to marry the man she loves!” he screams at the startled child.

 

Maggie comes up and frowns. “You can’t be doing that to the wee mistress.” Bree lays on the ground, crying. Her brother runs in to get help.

 

“Da, Uncle Jamie, Rabbie is being mean to Bree.”  He breathlessly says.

 

Fergus overhears and takes off. He is there a minute before his da, uncle, and Murtagh.

 

The little boy is attempting to intimidate Maggie. She has to much of Jenny in her for that to work.

 

Fergus snatches him up. Just a few years older then him, he is far meaner.

 

“What do you think you are doing, picking on my sister!”

 

“She stole Lord Fraser away! Mam loves him and had to settle for an old man…”

 

That old man was there. He took Rabbie from Fergus. Lifting him up by both arms, he growls at him, “If I ever hear such talk from you again, I will skin you! Do you understand? To harm a lass,” He shakes his head even as he shakes the lad, “it isn’t  ever done. Your job is to protect them, not harm them.”

 

Jamie and Ian gathered their crying lasses up. Both give Rabbie looks of distain.

 

“It is time for my first fatherly act to you,” Murtagh continues as he escorts him to the nearby fence, “ You will learn what happens when you harm a lass.”

 

He places him over the fence and removed his belt. The lad, used to the beatings his own late dad gave, tenses up. The belt comes down hard and true, landing on his bum. Once, twice, three times.

 

He then lifts him up and sits him on his feet. The lad is stunned. Robert never stopped until he couldn’t lift his arm. “That is all?”

 

“No, you will apologize to Brianna and Maggie.”

 

“Aye sir.”

 

“Look, I know change is difficult. But no child of mine will go about disrespecting myself, my wife, or anyone else. You are a good lad. You just need the foolishness beat out of you.  If I catch you doing such again, you won’t be able to sit down for a week. Understood?”

 

“Aye sir.” He places his hand on his shoulder and leads him back to where the men and lasses are.

 

“Rabbie has something to say.” He gives him a nudge.

 

“I am sorry for being mean to you. I won’t  ever again.”

 

He then takes him into the house to face his mam.
