This is such a delightful title, and I think it could be made to work for any fandom. Since you didn’t specify, I’m tempted to describe a fic for something other than mcsm, but the terribly cursed emerald does scream Minecraft to me.

So: the Order gets called in for one of their weirder adventures- a highly valued emerald gets stolen from a far-off city. The Order are called in because everyone supposedly knows who the thieves are: the renowned Doctor Langeskov and his trusty tiger mount/best friend/partner in crime. Nobody from the Order’s heard of them, but the locals brush this off as being due to the considerable distance between the city and Beacontown. The point is that the duo are dangerous, clever, and responsible for a robbery that has the city up in arms.

Of course, nobody will directly tell them what’s so special about the emerald, or why the city’s own heroes and guards aren’t being sent off to get it back.
