I think it's so weird how intensely adamant anti-doctorxdonna shippers are that their relationship has to be platonic, and it's absolutely disgusting to see them any other way.

Like if it's not your thing, that's fine! But the vehement hate? It's weird.

And I'll say this; If Catherine Tate had portrayed Donna when she was in her early twenties, people would act way different about the doctorxdonna dynamic. It is super telling that the only two who are actively HATED for being shipped is the one companion that is over the age of thirty. (and I'm not saying this is only reason, or that there isn't other valid reasons for them to not be your thing, but it absolutely plays a part in people being 'grossed out' by Donna in particular)
