I've been confused about something as of late, and I was wondering if any Fictionkins or Otherkins could help me out on this?

I am a drow ((dark elf, night elf, Under elf, yadayada...)) and considering my home is a fictional piece of media I've considered it Fictionkin. ((Even if I'm not a fictional character, just a race))

But I've seen other DND/fantasy sourced nonhumans refer to themself as otherkin. So I'm a little confused about where I fall on the spectrum.

personally during shifts i tend to perceive myself as slightly more feminine and i can become more harsh and critical,, i also have moments of paranoia about lolth punishing me or smth erm,,

It’s weird knowing the facts about what I’m kin of because it kind of makes me think too hard about all of this. Like, I know Driders start out as Drow or Dark Elves but they displeased Lolth in one way or another and were cursed. They’re also generally outcast among the Drow because they displeased their goddess.

This makes it weird trying to retch out because Drowkin really are the closest thing I have to myself. I don’t want to fight with them of course, I don’t think I even wanted to fight them back when I was my old self, which I feel like my passiveness might have been the cause of my change in the first place. Women were typically supposed to be the aggressive one.

I have faint memories of being happy, spinning silk and weaving sheets of silk. It’s hard to be mad when I can recall the “curse” bringing me a lot of joy but being happy about the change isn’t typical. Like I said, being to aware is weird and it makes it hard to know what to do with myself.
