A little update on Easy and Dachi
I have started feeding them BARF, which is raw food diet for dogs, basically - it means they now eat only raw meat, guts, bones, vegetables and fruits + some other kinds of food like cooked rice, saesame seeds, chia seeds... If you are interested, Google it. For now I'm not assembling the portions myself, I have pre-prepared mixes made especially for BARF fed dogs. I'm intending to learn on the way and start preparing their meals from scretch soon. This diet supports wolf origin side and is considered the so far most healthy and natural way of feeding dogs. It's not suitable for every dog so make sure to study the topic before switching your dog to BARF. For example my first dog Spocky didn't like it. I only learned about it pretty late in her life so she was already pretty used to processed dog food and because of her age I didn't have the heart to put her through the accustomisation process. If you have any doubts, consult your vet. P.S. It's chicken with beetroot in the bowls, that explains the vibrant colour 😂
Dachi is nicely learning to control his hunting instincts. We have reached the stage when he won't go after pigeon when he sees it, when he's truly tempted my command is enough to stop him. I consider this a great progress, as only few days after I adopted them, he killed pigeon outside in cold blood 😬 Not anymore 👍
Both Easy and Dachi are now more responsive to calling. They are able to come to me even when they see other dogs and even stop on their way tawards other dogs and comming back to me. For now with treat reward but Easy comes even without treat. We keep working on it.
Easy and Dachi are Jindo mix dogs, rescued in South Korea from dog meat farms and transported to Czech Republic. I adopted them from Toulavé Tlapky, z.s.
All donations and revenues you would send to my ko-fi account would go to this organisation for them to be able to save more dogs. I'm their regular donor for years now.
And if you want to feed Czech shelter dogs, you can join the

RWBY COMBAT ANALYSIS: MERCURY BLACK
Tumblr media
“I'm sorry you didn't have a mommy that loved you, but I had a father who hated me! He never went easy on me! Every day of training was a beating. And when I unlocked my Semblance, he stole it with his! ‘This is a crutch!’ ‘This makes you weak!’ He told me I could have it back when I was strong. So I got strong, but I never got it back! I've had to work harder than anyone to get where I am. You may not like it here without Cinder, but I think I'm right where I'm supposed to be!”
PHYSICAL
Aged in his early 20s, Mercury Black is a human male hailing from the kingdom of Vale, the son of the noted assassin Marcus Black.  The young Mercury lived a life of violence and abuse, his early combat training colored by physical beatings and verbal beratement.  In the Black household, natural strength and personal achievement were all that mattered, with Marcus going so far as to strip his son of his Semblance to force him to develop the hard way.  Despite his utter failure as a parent, Marcus did succeed in crafting Mercury into a highly capable and ruthless combatant, making it only appropriate that he fought and killed his father roughly a year before the Fall of Beacon.  Immediately afterwards, Mercury was approached by Cinder Fall, who recruited him as one of her primary agents in service to Salem.  Though born as a typical human specimen, Mercury’s legs were amputated right above the knees at some point prior to the attack on Amber, necessitating a pair of cybernetic replacements.  The legs were strong enough to endure a sustained blast of fire from Amber’s staff and likely possessed superhuman striking strength, which his fighting style fully leveraged.  Given that he was able to attack Amber at range despite clearly not having his weapon attached, it is entirely possible that the legs were outfitted with wind Dust cannons, reinforcing his combat evasions.
Above the knees, Mercury was a baseline humanoid, standing at 6’2” and distinguished by his gray hair and eyes, pale skin, and slim athletic build.  An exceptional athlete, his primary physical attribute was his remarkable agility, leveraged through his dynamic fighting style and intense yet nimble acrobatic jumps and lunges.  He has dodged lighting strikes from Amber, evaded gunfire from Coco Adel, tagged Ruby Rose while she was using her Petal Burst (head-on I might add), and has casually kept pace with the likes of Pyrrha Nikos and Yang Xiao Long.  Though seemingly excessive and flashy, Mercury was nimble enough to perform intricate contortions and spins while balanced on his hands alongside his parkour amid his combat sequences, fighting as a bizarre mix of freerunner and breakdancer.  Though he favored kick-based martial arts, rarely employing punches, Mercury possessed sufficient dexterity and reflexes to leverage his hands for close-quarters defense, redirecting Yang’s punches during the Vytal Festival and holding off Emerald Sustrai in a fist fight.  The only time Mercury’s mobility failed him was when Tyrian Callows pounced on him in Salem’s castle, and even this example was because he was caught off-guard.  Mercury’s physical strength varied depending on which of his appendages he is hitting with.  With his legs, he has staggered even heavily armored opponents with the force of his kicks and was able to shatter the arena floor with a single strike during his battle with Yang.  With his arms, however, he had nothing to write home about, and in fact has been overpowered on several occasions, albeit only from dedicated heavyweights like Yatsuhashi Dachi and Yang.
Tumblr media
Hardened by years of physical abuse, Mercury was all too familiar with pain and injury and knew better than most how to take a hit.  Despite his laid-back sarcastic attitude, he possessed the martial discipline to roll with the punches and would break before he ever bent.  Against Amber, he soaked up several elemental attacks that forced him to his knees, yet still maintained his composure and was still vital enough to escape from Qrow Branwen after the fight.  Though he was manhandled by Yatsuhashi during the Vytal Festival, Mercury recovered quickly and continued to fight with no visible drain on his performance, digging deep and managing to overcome Team CFVY’s juggernaut.  In his subsequent battle with Yang Xiao Long, Mercury had to be pounded into submission, taking the full brunt of Yang’s Burn-enhanced onslaught before going down.  Even after his Aura was broken, Mercury was able to regain his feet and trick Yang into seemingly attacking a defenseless opponent, enduring the pain of her point-blank Ember Celica into his right leg and only needing cosmetic repairs before getting back on his feet the following evening.  At Haven Academy, Mercury worked through a rematch with Yang and endured a headbutt from Ruby, and by the end of the lengthy battle was spry enough to retreat with only minor signs of fatigue.  At the end of the day, I think we can agree that there is a reason why Salem paired Mercury up with the only one of her lieutenants able to reliably overcome him quickly when she dispatched him and Tyrian to Vacuo.
As he operated primarily as an assassin and infiltrator, Mercury’s MO was to be inconspicuous rather than imposing, blending in and striking unexpectedly.  Accordingly, he favored simple clothing that minimized encumbrance and allowed for casual appearance. When he was dispatched to Vacuo with Tyrian Callows, he wore an orange trimmed blue shirt underneath a double-breasted gray leather jacket, accessorizing with gray vambraces with fingerless gloves, black cargo pants, and an orange keychain. Though they were typically concealed beneath his clothing, the durability of Mercury’s legs allowed them to function as built-in armor, providing a margin for error for his fancy feet.
RANKING: Tier 1.5, Partially Augmented Human
Tumblr media
Mercury’s youthful athleticism is easily equal to or greater than the most capable human Huntsmen, and even though he only specializes in a single arena, he is still well-rounded enough to function in any role required of him, balancing forceful aggression with dynamic flexibility.  His capabilities are further augmented by his cybernetics, his legs providing extremely durable bludgeons in combat and functioning as natural armor.  Where Yang Xiao Long’s prosthetic was limited to only her right arm, Mercury’s paired set offers him greater protection and more leverageable options in combat. Though not enough to classify him as truly superhuman, he still has a literal leg up on your standard human.
MARTIAL
Tumblr media
Mercury Black was armed with Talaria, a set of black metallic greaves outfitted with built-in firearms.  Approximately 15 inches long, each greave was equipped with a circular drum of ammunition, while the metal plating extended to about halfway between his ankles and knees. The weapons appeared to be based around similar technology to the Ember Celica wielded by his rival Yang Xiao Long, with the obvious difference being that the triggering and reload mechanism was built to accommodate kicks rather than punches.  By the time Salem’s forces arrived in Atlas, Mercury had added a set of sharpened metal wings to the heels, though whether these held combative purposes or were purely cosmetic is unconfirmed.
With every day of training being a beating in practice, Marcus Black taught his son how to be a fighter at a very early age, emphasizing physical conditioning and hand to hand combat.  Despite amounting to an alcoholic thug of a human being, Marcus’s reputation as a combatant was well-known, and Mercury clearly benefitted from his father’s training, demonstrated when he narrowly defeated him in the burning ruin of their house.  It was there that Cinder Fall found him, recruiting him as her primary enforcer and assassin in the leadup to the Fall of Beacon.  Mercury served Cinder faithfully during that year, where he cut his teeth against the Fall Maiden Amber, acquitted himself well in a sparring match with Pyrrha Nikos, and fought evenly with Yang Xiao Long during the Vytal Festival.  Despite his young age, Mercury was a hardened killer and utterly ruthless, his skill gaining the appreciation of his peers and even Salem herself.  Like his rival Yang, Mercury was an unarmed martial artist first and foremost, his weapons being a literal extension of his body.  His physical moveset was powerful yet fluid, alternating between an array of kicks and leg sweeps to trip up, stagger, and bludgeon the opponent. Highly mobile, Mercury often employed flying acrobatics to add power to his strikes, best seen when he slammed into Fulcrum at full force during his battle with Yatsuhashi Dachi and later an overhead scissor-kick when squaring off with Yang, in addition to nimble evasions to avoid injury.  Despite this brutal offensive stance, Mercury also utilized his flexibility for disorientation and defense. He favored breakdancing-like spins and gyrations to distract the opponent while he slipped in counters, executing his kicks with great precision when necessary.  When he adopted more grounded stances, Mercury used these same maneuvers in the form of sweeping roundhouse kicks, staggering the opponent and setting up for a powerful follow-up.  His control and finesse was further expressed in his marksmanship, turning his upright hammer kicks into projectile volleys that he has used for both focused takedowns and to create his Dust whirlwinds.  This sophisticated yet vicious style was reinforced with hand-based defensive parries, intercepting upper body attacks with deft deflections and light punches, setting up for counters while their attention was taken up.
Tumblr media
“Raised” by a murderous assassin, Mercury Black had little regard for honorable conduct or the well-being of others, a callousness that was reflected in his tactics.  He favored ambush and surprise, catching the opponent with their pants down and hitting them where it hurt most. His use of psychological warfare was emphasized by his tendency to interrupt the opponent and kick them while they were down, messing with their concentration and preventing them from bringing their full might to bear.  In pitched combat, he used his erratic fighting style to blindside the enemy and keep them guessing while giving himself an opportunity to bypass their defenses.  When the situation allowed for hit, he employed verbal taunts to distract and provoke, keeping you off balance by being a sketchy asshole.  Subvert and overwhelm.  Though he was silent during the attack on Amber, Mercury still kept the Fall Maiden on her toes by rushing in to blitz her when she least expected it, forcing Amber to lean heavily on her Maiden powers to compensate.  When sparring with Pyrrha Nikos, Mercury’s stronger core technique allowed him to bully through her standard sword-and-board technique and disarm her, though Pyrrha turned the tables by leveraging her Semblance to deflect and repel him, prompting a forfeit after he took her measure.  During the Vytal Festival, he and Emerald Sustrai went up against Coco Adel and Yatsuhashi Dachi in the Doubles Round, and they proceeded to turn the battle into a guerrilla ambush.  They opened by slipping into the grasses and goading Coco into focusing on that while they slipped away.  They followed this up with Mercury blindsiding their opponents from the sky, expertly pinballing between the two in close quarters while leaving Coco vulnerable to Emerald’s BFR yank.  Though Yatsu managed to gain ground and nearly overpower him, Mercury recovered his momentum and squared off evenly with the giant before kicking him into an environmental hazard, leaving him open to a finishing kick.  Arguably Mercury’s greatest display of skill as a martial artist was his duel with Yang Xiao Long in the Singles, fighting evenly with RWBY’s heavyweight and overbearing her several times, only losing when she used her Semblance to brutalize him.  While it is true that Mercury threw the fight as part of Cinder’s plans, this does not change the fact that the two were clearly on equal footing and pressuring such a talented up-and-coming fighter is no mean feat.
Mercury was devious and tricky, but he was often afflicted by his own cocky attitude.  He tended to go too far with his taunts and get careless, which has given many of his opponents chances to rally from setbacks and fight back before he wised up. Though Yang’s Semblance may have granted her the win regardless, Mercury let his guard down immediately after kicking her to the ground, making their final bout a series of hits he didn’t need to take.  During their rematch at Haven Academy several months later, Mercury pressed his advantage, exploiting Yang’s shock of Weiss Schnee’s impalement, but his and Emerald’s attempt to encircle her was interrupted by Ruby Rose, who rushed in to defend her sister.  In the ensuing melee, Mercury managed to disarm Ruby, but chose the moment to mock her for her supposed helplessness, leaving him exposed to a retaliatory headbutt, a failing made even more egregious given Ruby’s middling unarmed combat skills.  While Mercury continued to acquit himself well, fighting through the eventually arrival of Blake Belladonna and escaping with the others, this incident demonstrated how careless Mercury could become when his success went to his head, especially against opponents ostensibly below his own level.  Furthermore, he himself was vulnerable to psychological taunting, especially when the comments were directed towards his deep-seeded issues regarding his father.  His brief exchange with Emerald saw him angrily berating her for her blind loyalty to Cinder, yet a few choice words from Tyrian Callows were enough to set him off and leave him flat on his back.  Mercury preferred to keep things close to the chest, preventing his opponents from digging their psychological hooks into him even as he tried to hook them himself.  In his fights with Yang, Mercury drew a fine line between messing with Yang’s head and actively provoking her, the anger he stoked in her putting him on the hot seat against a level of force he wasn’t prepared for.  Mercury was at his best when in his comfort zone, his fighting style and tactics allowing him to off-balance the opponent while dismantling their defenses.  If the opponent refuses to be provoked or can work through his interference, he can get in trouble very quickly, the leg Yang blasted at the Vytal Festival being an uncomfortable reminder of his oversights.
RANKING: Tier 3, Standard Mastery
Tumblr media
Mercury’s training, technique, and feats speak to a highly skilled martial artist who is, at worst, still comparable to the great masters of his day.  His core fighting style balances out dynamic energy with deft flexibility, while his tactical outlook tempers his vicious aggression with ruthless pragmatism. Mercury Black’s priority is always to come out ahead, without a thought to being elegant or nice.  He will take you down however he has to and if he doesn’t have to fight fair, he won’t.  However, his success is predicated on his control, and if he is confronted by an opponent who he can’t overpower or undercut, he can get into trouble very quickly, while his arrogant posturing makes him prone to tactical blunders.  Though given his parity with the likes of Yang and Pyrrha, getting Merc into that kind of trouble will still be an uphill battle.
SPECIAL
Tumblr media
The day his son unlocked his Semblance, Marcus Black used his own to steal it, telling the young Mercury that it was a crutch that interfered in the way of obtaining true strength.  Regardless of whether Marcus was expressing his personal philosophy or simply being a manipulative bastard, these words would be taken to their natural extreme when Mercury killed his father before he had a chance to restore his powers.  As a result, Mercury Black spent his entire career without a Semblance, a factor that made him extremely unique among his peers.  Though his lack of special abilities left him somewhat handicapped, Mercury was not helpless and had learned, or rather been forced to learn, to work within him limits.  Like his former associate Roman Torchwick, Mercury primarily compensated for his lack of a Semblance by dedicating himself wholly to his mastery of physical combat, to the point where he was able to contend with more powerful adepts by dominating them and preventing them from bringing their full power to bear.  Against Amber, he simply evaded her lightning strikes, powered through her flame burst, and endured the flurry of frozen leaves she threw.  Against more conventional Huntsmen, he dialed up his precision and control, aiming for critical strikes that would screw with their attempts to use their Semblances.  When confronted by Ruby Rose during the Vytal Festival, he intercepted her Petal Burst and kicked her back, delaying her long enough to allow Pyrrha and Penny Polendina’s duel to escalate.  Ruby only got around Mercury by dodging around and generating an exceptionally powerful burst of speed, but by then it was too late.
Though Mercury lacked a Semblance, he was not completely lacking in the supernatural plane.  Like many of his contemporaries, Mercury readily incorporated Dust into his primary loadout, using elemental gunpowder to weaponize nature itself.  In his case, steam Dust, crafted by mixing fire and water, was his weapon of choice, outfitted into Talaria to create instantaneous smokescreens with just a pump of his foot.  When choosing to resort to a more direct approach, his preferred tactic was to fire a volley of Dust projectiles into the air, often used in conjunction with grounded gymnastics, to create a whirlwind of area-effect power.  Furthermore, I believe that wind Dust was also a component in Mercury’s arsenal, enabling his fine control over his storms by directing the air currents.  This extended to being able to direct his shots to specific targets, a possibility glimpsed when two shots against Yatsu and Coco took on almost heat-seeking properties.  Also seen in the Doubles Round of the Vytal Festival, Mercury closed the distance by unleashing a contained tornado before condensing it into a dense fog, using the cover to ambush his targets and providing Emerald an opening to ensnare Coco.  Additionally, this Dust-augmented attack could be used for offensive purposes as well, concentrating the blasts into a steamy blitzkrieg.  During his fight with Yang, Mercury encompassed the brawler with his storm, distracting her and leaving her open to a surprise kick before immediately directing the bursts to target her once she hit the ground, briefly pummeling her into submission.  Otherwise, Mercury has been seen using his Dust for tactical support and improving his acrobatics, using the bursts to propel himself around the battlefield.  The best example of this was in his battle with Yang, where he used a burst of air to save himself from falling out of the ring, turning a flying takeoff into an acrobatic recovery.
Despite his limited special abilities, Mercury was intelligent enough to utilize what he had effectively, working around his lack of personal powers by overbearing the enemy in physical combat and blindsiding them with elemental force to enable his treacherous ambushes.  However, much like his general tactical outlook, Mercury was at his best when he had the element of surprise, and his tendency to let success go to his head had sometimes prevented him from utilizing his tools effectively.  Despite their distraction, Coco and Yatsu were still able to maintain their composure and intercept his follow up strike, and it was only Emerald’s sneak attack that properly separated them.  Furthermore, even though Dust is incredibly powerful, it does not always bring the exact power needed to overcome the enemy.  When Mercury threw that storm at Yang, she was briefly disabled but unimpeded, using the hits to power up her Semblance and pound Mercury into the mat.
RANKING: Tier 5, Limited Combat
Tumblr media
Mercury Black’s special abilities are wholly tied to his use of Dust, his lack of a Semblance meaning that he has nothing to bring to the table in turn.  Like Roman Torchwick, Mercury owes his success to mundane countermeasures and external forces he can manipulate, though his regular Dust armament means that he has a step above the crime lord.  As visually spectacular as Mercury’s Dust storms are, they clearly aren’t powerful enough to decisively end the conflict, instead owing more to tactical support and just another way to shoot a gun.  Dust Ammunition is easily the most limited combative application of Dust, with Mercury’s success determined by his creative uses rather than his destructive might.
OVERALL RANKING: TIER 4, EXPERT HUNTSMAN
Tumblr media
Mercury Black’s final placement is determined by his exceptional performance levels as well as his practical shortcomings.  Mercury has all the trappings of a great master-level fighter, his combat feats and elevation within Salem’s inner circle speaking for themselves, but he is severely limited by what his father stole from him.  Physically, his cyborg legs put him a cut above most adversaries, but his athleticism can still be challenged by normal humans with similar training.  His martial skills are versatile and deadly, more than enough to contend with the best of the best, but his arrogance and pessimism have on occasion undercut his otherwise capable tactical skills and gotten him in over his head.  And with his Semblance stolen, all he is bringing to the table is Dust ammunition, an exhaustible resource with limited capabilities.  To be fair Mercury’s use of his Dust is very creative and flexible, making it a very valid tool in his arsenal, but its ability to decisively end the conflict is restricted.  Due to his Semblance being stripped away, Mercury’s success in combat is tied to his supremacy as a physical combatant and the mundane countermeasures he has adopted.  While he deserves a great deal of credit for what he has been able to accomplish despite his disability, he does have significant limits.
Despite his similarities to his rival Yang, I actually find Mercury’s more direct analogue to be his late contemporary, Roman Torchwick.  His cyborg legs provide him with a similar anatomical edge to Roman’s physical hardiness, both are high-performance and treacherous martial artists who can operate well in both general and single combat, and both get around their lack of ethereal powers by undercutting and countering the powers of others.  Even their tactical outlooks are superficially similar, teaching them that the best way to score a win is to fight dirty.  However, where Roman’s loftiness led to him growing complacent and simply being good enough, Mercury’s drive to prove himself and rise above what his father thrust upon him allowed him to stack the building blocks of greatness, coming into his own as one of Salem’s direct subordinates and even casually walking away from Cinder Fall’s direct orders.  Mercury Black has more than escaped from the shadow of Marcus Black as a warrior.  All that remains is to see if he can do the same for his soul.

Tumblr media

Warnings: probably some swearing but nothing besides that :)
A/N: So this is somewhat based on my IRL relationship haha. I’m very bad with just walking away or getting distracted by something and always worry my partner xD thought it would make for some cute headcanons! Let me know if you’d like more!
Haikyuu Masterlist
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tsukishima had only looked away for a moment. He walked towards a fresh fruit stand, glancing at the peaches and wondering if you wanted one to snack on on the way home. He glanced back and his lips parted to ask you, but you were no where to be seen.
His lips turned into a frown, trying not to give into that small moment of panic as his eyes scanned the outside market. You were no where to be found nearby. His heart pulsed harder against his chest as his mind reminded him of that news story of girls going missing in public places. Tsukishima pushed through people, giving half-assed apologies as he thought about you being dragged away and no one noticing. How had he not noticed? How would he find you? What should he do now?
His heart raced as he continued to look for you, giving out a small yelp when he felt someone grab his hand.
“Tsukki?” You were suddenly next to him, smiling innocently up at him. “Are you okay?”
The rush of relief that came with seeing you next to him was followed with frustration. “Idiot! Where did you wander off to?” He scolded, his hand tightening on yours.
“There was a puppy,” you admitted with slight embarrassment, smiling shyly. “I just gave him a couple of pats - he looked so lonely. Everyone was ignoring him,” you explained, nodding towards an older man who was dozing off on a bench. He had a leash in his hand and a large dog sat next to his feet, eagerly watching people was if begging for someone to pet him.
Tsukishima shook his head in disbelief, “You scared me for a dog? Moron,” he grumbled, pulling you further into the market. He didn’t want to be in such a big crowd right now.
You giggled, trying not to note the redness in his ears, “Aw I’m sorry Tsukki, I didn’t mean to scare you.” You tugged on his arm gently, trying to give him an apologetic smile but he kept looking away from you.
“Whatever, get yourself lost for all I care,” he pouted slightly and you tried your best not to laugh at how such a tall boy could act like a 4 year old.
“I’ll stay with you, promise. Won’t ever leave your side!” you insisted, clutching his arm and beaming up at him.
Tsukishima glanced at your smile, noticing it looked... almost playful? “What?” He raised an eyebrow, already knowing he wasn’t going to like the answer.
“You care about me,” you teased, reaching up to poke his nose playfully. “You were worried about me because you careeee about me.” You had expected him to pull his arm away, stomp off until you apologized for making fun of him.
But instead he just rolled his eyes, flicking your forehead gently, “Maybe just a bit.”
That surprised you just a little, your heart skipping a beat or two in response, “I am sorry, Tsukki, I didn’t think I went off that far. It just got really crowded,” you told him sincerely, squeezing his hand gently. “But lucky for me! You’re so tall so it’s easy to find you!”
Tsukishima scoffed some more but blushed anyways, feeling now like he had overreacted, “Whatever. You’re buying me a snack to make it up to me, idiot.”
“Mmkay!” You beamed, the two of you roaming the market together. Tsukishima pretended like he had completely forgotten the whole thing, but you noticed that he never let go of your hand that easily after that. And he always kept you close in crowded areas.
So yeah, maybe Tsukishima Kei really did care for you.

Daichi is a calm cool collected dude. Calm. Cool. Collected. It was as if he was chanting these words in his brain, eyes frantically trying to find you. CALM COOL COLLECTED, he desperately tried to remind himself. Everything is FINE.
But that still didn’t answer the question: where the hell could you have gone off to?
It was one of the first big matches that Daichi ever invited you too and the crowds were 10x bigger than anything you’ve been to. Daichi’s whole body trembled with the idea that you were completely lost and waiting for him to find you.
“I’m sure she’s alright, Daichi! Y/N’s probably just exploring,” Asahi clapped a hand onto his friend’s shoulder, though Daichi could tell he was nervous too.
“Stop being such worry-bums,” Suga insisted, smacking both of their arms. “Y/N can be as scary as the rest of us! No one would pick on her!”
You were fully capable of dealing with things yourself, Daichi knew this. But he felt a surge of protective energy anytime he felt you needed him. “I’ll be right back,” he mumbled to his friends, his feet quickly running around the gyms to try and catch a glimpse of you.
“Daichi!” Your voice made his eyes widen, darting around to try to find you. Suddenly, he was attacked with a full on jump hug, staggering backwards to keep them upright.
“Y-Y/N! Where’ve you been?” Daichi asked with a laugh, holding you tightly and trying to avoid showing you how nervous he was.
“Coach Ukai told me Hinata left his shoes in the bus so I went to grab it before the game! Shimizu-san and Yachi were both busy so I wanted to help!” You explained, smiling up at him while holding the little bag up for him to see. Your eyes flickered over Daichi’s for a moment, noting the slight blush on his cheeks and the way he couldn’t fully meet your gaze. You couldn’t help but let out a giggle, your lips turning into a little smirk, “Were you worried about me, Daichi?” You teased and laughed as his face turned even more red.
“Well I can’t win without my lucky charm on the stands,” he chuckled, ruffling your hair.
“Oh and I just thought you liked me,” Y/N shot back with a laugh. “Didn’t know it was just cause of your game.”
You turned on your heel, starting to walk back to the gym, Daichi following while stammering out a, “I-I do liked you!” He tried to laugh off his nerves, rubbing the back of his neck as he gave you a smile, “Don’t make me all nervous before a game, love!”
You two shared some more laughs as everyone warmed up, and just before you headed to the stands, you pressed a quick kiss to his cheek. Daichi tried to play it off cool but he was wobbly the whole walk towards the team and the group of boys just laughed, all slapping his back in pride.

Unlike the Cap’n, Asahi is not calm, cool, or collected. I mean I think he’s cool but not in this sense LOL.
Asahi and you decided to have a picnic for lunch in a nearby park. But while he was setting up, you magically disappeared and Asahi felt all of his panic just intensify.
Did you? Leave him? To be on his own? Was this your way of breaking up with him?
No, Asahi tried to convince himself, you loved him. You guys had been together for almost a year now, that’s not how you’d end thins... is it?
Maybe you got lost? Did Asahi walk a little too fast to this spot? He knew sometimes you had a hard time keeping up with his long legs but he thought you had been holding his hand this whole time.
His eyes scanned the somewhat busy park. He couldn’t find you anywhere. His heart was starting to beat way too fast and his fingers were shaking while he tried to text the other third years to ask what the hell he should do.
Suga: LOL knowing Y/N she probably saw some cute chipmunk or something and stopped to take a photo of it
Daichi: don’t worry, Asahi, she’ll probably find you soon - you’re this gigantic dude in a park. I doubt she’d lose you
That didn’t help. Now Asahi was noticing how parents and kids were specifically avoiding him. His bottom lip pouted as he wondered just what he could do to seem less intimidating. Should he sit down? No, what if you were trying to see him? Sitting would only make it harder!
Just as he was considering climbing up the nearby tree to see the park from a higher distance, you popped out from some nearby bushes, holding a few wildflowers.
“Asahi?” You blinked in surprise, finding him trying to find a foothold on the tree. “Are we... eating in the tree?”
“Y/N!” The poor boy almost knocked his head on the tree when he turned around to see you, eyes widening. He immediately ran over to you and twirled you around in a hug, “God, you scared me!”
You quickly apologized profusely seeing how nervous he was, “I’m sorry, Asahi! I saw some pretty flowers over there and thought maybe it would be nice to decorate our tablecloth with!” You kiss his nose and cheeks over and over again trying to get him to calm down (but really that’s just making him more flustered).
The two of you share a gorgeous meal together, and you spend the rest of the day with his head in your lap and you braiding his hair, intertwining some of the flowers you found. The two of you talked about everything and anything and Asahi made sure from that day forward, he could always spot you. Any time you guys weren’t holding hands or standing next to each other, everyone noticed that Asahi’s eyes would dart over to you every now and then, whether consciously or unconsciously.
When he got home that night, he pressed the flowers you put in his hair in a book and kept them as a keepsake. And then gave them to you in a gift for your anniversary later.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Kageyama would start feeling panic and wouldn’t even know why. The game was starting soon and something just didn’t feel right. His muscles? No… he felt in tiptop shape. He stretched a little extra today too to make sure he wasn’t feeling stiff. His stomach? No, he made sure to have some food and milk a little earlier. And he wasn’t feeling nauseous so it couldn’t be that. His hands? No, they felt perfect in fact. He was so excited for this game earlier, he had felt the anticipation running to his fingers to just set the perfect ball. So why was he feeling so uncomfortable?
His eyebrows furrowed as he tried to think about what was making him feel different. His eyes scanned the crowd unconsciously before realizing what it was.
You weren’t standing up there with the rest of the Karasuno fans.
Where the hell were you?
His feet moved towards the gym doors before Ukai yelled at him, “Where the hell do you think you’re going, Kageyama? The game is staring soon!”
Kageyama’s eyes widened, noting the whole team watching him curiously. Why did Kageyama seem so nervous? He never seemed nervous.
“Don’t worry, Kageyama, with my spikes better than ever, we’re definitely going to win!” Hinata grinned, trying to lighten the tense air in the team.
“I’m not worried, just don’t be stupid on the court,” Kageyama replied, shrugging it off. But his eyes still scanned the stands. Where were you? You had said hello to the whole and wished Kageyama luck just a few minutes ago? So how come you weren’t standing up there with Coach’s friends and Yachi?
The whistle blew to indicate the game starting and Kageyama felt his stomach turn. Why was he feeling like this? You were probably fine so what did it matter?
You had been buying some milk from the nearby vending machines to make sure that Kageyama had some after his game. You knew that he had accidentally finished all the ones he had packed earlier and had been kinda crabby about it so you thought maybe it would cheer him up. You had stood in line for the vending machine for what felt like forever but it was all worth it knowing that you could throw the milk boxes into your lunch bag to keep them cool. Knowing Kageyama would be excited about it made you really happy.
As you walked back towards the gym, you could hear cheering. Your eyes widened as you realized that the game had already started and you ran towards the stands.
“Y/N! There you are!” Yachi’s smile looked oddly nervous. Not that she wasn’t normally nervous at these games, but this one seemed different. “I think something’s wrong with Kageyama.”
Your eyes shot down to the court, seeing how stiff Kageyama looked next to everyone else. They were patting him on the back, yelling “We’ll get the next one!” and Noya screaming, “BRING IT ON!”
“He was looking for you in the stands earlier I think,” Yachi told you with a small giggle, “He looked really nervous when he couldn’t see you.”
Your heart swelled slightly, wondering if Kageyama was off his game because he hadn’t been able to see you. “Kageyama!!” You yelled from the stands, cupping your hands around your mouth. The dark haired boy’s head shot up to look at you, a sense of relief growing on his face. “You can do it!!” You screamed some more, the people on the stands behind you yelling in support.
Even from far away, you could see his lips turn upward in a smile.
Alright, you both thought to yourself. Now we can get started.

{ Part 1 }
Tumblr media
"Where's my princess? Do you need daddy to cut anything for you?" Kirishima asked, following the others to the table.
"No! I never ask you to cut anything for me!" Toshinori grumbled, blushing furiously.
“There’s nothing wrong with asking for a little help,” Ji-ae pointed out, glancing at her husband, glad that he’d finally learned that lesson himself.
"It's okay, let daddy help," Kirishima got her plate, happy to spoil her and oblivious to why she would be embarrassed. "I know you're a big girl, but one day you'll stop needing me and I'll cry."
"Don't remind me," Alma sighed as she joined them.
“Unless you have another kid,” Bakugou murmured under his breath so only Eijirou and Alma could hear.
"Exactly!" Kirishima agreed. "That's what I said!"
"Stop giving him stupid ideas!  Kacchan, the day you push a freaking baby out of a hole way too small for that, you'll understand," Alma hissed, glaring at him.
Bakugou merely shrugged, ruffling Iradachi’s ash blonde hair as he brought more dishes to the table. “Sounds like he already had the same idea.”
"What are you talking about?" Toshinori asked, already having her suspicions. "Is it adult talk? I'm great at adult talk."
“Aw, it’s nothin’ kiddo,” Bakugou chuckled, taking his seat next to her.
“Just Uncle Katsuki being difficult,” Ji-ae added, giving him a pointed look followed by a tiny smile.
"He's always difficult, that's what mama says," Toshi laughed, “but I don't think so, I like the way he and Dacchan–"  Before she could finish, the girl nearly flipped the table when her body left the chair, floating aimlessly until Alma caught her.
"Puta madre..." she jumped, quickly giving Toshinori the necklace from around her neck.  It would be hard to go without it, but she had more control than before.
“Oh my gosh!” Ji-ae exclaimed, catching a glass as it nearly toppled over while Iradachi gaped at Toshi.
“What was THAT?” he exclaimed, having never seen that part of her quirk before.
"I don't know," Toshi asked in alarm, looking at her mom for an answer.
"Oh, well... I guess I always knew this day would come," Kirishima mumbled, tearing up with pride.
"It's normal, baby, you float when you... think someone looks nice," Alma explained the best way she could.  "But don't worry, the necklace won't let that happen."
“Does that mean you think I look nice?” Iradachi asked.
"I– it's not–" Toshinori looked away so he wouldn't see how red she was. "Maybe I do..."
“I think you look nice too,” Dachi exclaimed earnestly, as if it were no big deal.
"Thank you," she grinned, feeling a little better knowing that.
"That's so cute, I can't," Alma squeezed Ji-ae's hand. "He's so sweet, I'm gonna cry."
"Luckily he takes after his momma," Ji-ae whispered, grinning at her friend.
"Dad, this food is SO good!" he exclaimed, moving on to the next subject without a thought.
"Right! It's amazing," Kirishima agreed, as if it wasn't obvious by the amount of food he piled up on his plate that he was very excited to eat Bakugou's cooking again.
"Kiri, take it easy, you're gonna choke," Alma teased.
"You can have as much as you want, you don't have to rush it," Ji-ae said, giving her friend a pointed look across the table.
"Yeah, you're right, sorry," Kirishima sheepishly rubbed the back of his neck. "I just really missed it."
"You make it sound like I don't feed you," Alma laughed.
"Daddy's food is the best," Iradachi exclaimed, and Ji-ae tried to stifle her laughter at the scandalized look on Alma's face.
"And to think I give you cookies before dinner when you spend the night... bet your daddy doesn't do that," Alma narrowed her eyes.
"It's so funny when uncle and mama fight," Toshi clapped excitedly.
"C'mon guys, it's Christmas, no fighting~" Ji-ae exclaimed, glancing between Alma and Katsuki.
"That's how we show we care, right?" Alma winked at him. "We hate each other with love. I wouldn't have set you two up if I didn't trust Kacchan."
"You set us up?" Bakugou scoffed, raising an eyebrow at her.
"Who do you think had the idea to do that double date, invite you, and make you think it was your idea? Obviously the mastermind of UA..." Alma gloated.
"Oh yeaah, I remember that, you wanted to Parent Trap them," Kirishima mused.
"And it worked," Ji-ae exclaimed, but Bakugou frowned. The look on his face made it clear that he was deep in thought and bothered.
"What's wrong, why do you have that face like I just punched you in the gut?" Alma asked. "Jicchan is right, it all worked out in the end."
"Hmph. Yeah," he muttered, averting his eyes, not looking at either woman. "Who wants dessert?" he asked, hastily clearing his throat and standing.
"I do!" Iradachi exclaimed, raising his hand.
"Me too, uncle!" Toshi called, glowing brighter than before.
"Need some help, man?" Kirishima followed, still feeling like something was wrong.
“Sure,” Bakugou muttered, picking up several empty plates to take back in with him.
"What's up with him?" Alma thought out loud. She thought he knew about the whole plan, it was so long ago anyway.
"I can tell you're upset," Kirishima murmured once they were alone. "What is it?"
“I coulda got her on my own,” Bakugou insisted, his hand clenching into a fist.
"You could've, but at the time you didn't wanna admit you had feelings for her," Kirishima pointed out. "There's nothing wrong with getting a little help from your friends."
Bakugou’s brows furrowed further. “Yeah, but—“ he cut off with a growl, shaking his head. “I would’ve eventually,” he insisted stubbornly.
"You know Todoroki had a crush on her back then? What if he had asked her out first?" Kirishima asked. "Plus, this way you saved time and got to be with her longer, isn't that good?"
Bakugou’s brows shot up and he turned to gape at his friend. He hadn’t known that. He didn’t wanna think how different things would’ve been if Shouto had gotten to her first.
"Right? If I had waited longer, maybe Alma would be married to Shinsou right now."  Kirishima winced just thinking about it. "Alma thought of you as one of her best friends, she just wanted to help."
Bakugou nodded. “I didn’t know how close I was to… to missing out.”
"No need to lose your sleep over that, you got the girl," Kirishima picked up a pile of plates and spoons to bring to the table. "Todoroki is happy with Yao-Momo, everybody wins."
“Hm, yeah,” Bakugou grunted with a nod. “So, uh, I heard you guys say somethin’ about another kid?”
"Yeah, I really want another one,” Kirishima admitted.  “Maybe a little boy to protect Toshi, not that I think she'll need it..." he chuckled. "But Alma wants to hit number one first."
“Hmm,” Bakugou mused. “What if she doesn’t hit number one?” he murmured.
"Then I guess we'll have bigger problems than having another kid... it means so much to her.  She wants to start teaching, but only after becoming the new Symbol of Peace," Kirishima sighed. "Are you planning on having another one?"
“I’d like to…” Bakugou admitted, glancing back through the door to the dining room where their wives and children were talking animatedly. “I think Ji-ae does too. After last night, we might already be on that path though,” he snorted.
"Oh, that’s great, Bakubro! Seems like you got your Christmas present early this year," Kirishima nudged his arm. "I can't wait to be a godfather again, that's gonna be awesome!"
Bakugou grinned, his heart swelling at the thought of Ji-ae carrying his second child as he gazed at her across the room. “Yeah, but Christmas ain’t over yet,” he said, nudging his friend back. “C’mon, don’t wanna keep those kids waiting.”
"Hey you," Alma smiled, noticing Bakugou seemed to be in a better mood. "Why do you both have those silly grins on your faces?"
“No reason. Nosy,” Bakugou huffed, setting down the cake she’d made before taking his seat and slipping his arm around his wife’s waist.
"Sweet as always," Alma stuck her tongue out while getting herself a slice. "Nosy... it wasn't me who infiltrated almost every single slumber party we had."
“He just wanted to spend more time with me,” Ji-ae murmured, leaning against his shoulder as Dachi happily ate his cake, barely paying attention.
"Yeah, I guess so," Alma exchanged a look with her husband before laying on the table. "But sometimes I wanted to kick his ass."
“I’m glad you didn’t,” Ji-ae laughed, lifting her head as Bakugou speared a piece of cake and held his fork out for her.
"Heeey," Kirishima exclaimed, taking a spoonful of frosting to offer to his own wife. "Cheer up, come on, do you want me to feed you too?"
"Mama is too old for that," Toshi said, imagining she would be just as embarrassed to be treated like a kid.
"You're never too old to be spoiled," Alma grinned, opening her mouth.
Iradachi frowned as he watched his dad feed his mom and his uncle feed his aunt. “It looks like they like it,” he whispered.
“Taste good?” Katsuki asked as Ji-ae chewed, licking her lips.
“Mhmm! Alma, your tres leches cake is so yummy~”
"Thank you," she replied, taking another piece for her husband who'd been too busy feeding her. "It was my dad's favorite."
“Do you want some Kats?” Ji-ae asked, sticking her finger in the frosting.
“You know I’m not a fan of sweets,” Bakugou muttered, “unless it’s you,” he added, grabbing her wrist to pull her hand closer, sucking her finger clean.
"Right in front of the kids?" Alma gasped dramatically, even though it was obvious the children couldn't care less, too busy with their own issue. "And you always liked my cakes, quit being a pain."
“What?” Ji-ae giggled. “We want Dachi to see that his parents being affectionate is normal.”
"I know, I'm just messing with you," Alma smeared frosting on Kirishima's cheek. "You know I'm the most affectionate person in Japan, I would hug and kiss everyone if I could... well, almost everyone."
"I don't see the big deal,” Toshinori mumbled with a frown before copying the adults.  “Say ahh," she said, holding her fork for Iradachi to take a bite. "See if you like it."
Iradachi opened his mouth and accepted the bite from Toshi. “It is really good!” he exclaimed. “But I don’t get it… I got fed as a baby, but why would dad feed mommy?”
"I think you do that for someone you like so they don't have to go through the trouble of moving to eat!" Toshinori concluded after careful consideration. "It's not a baby thing, it's a boyfriend-girlfriend thing."
“Ohhhhh,” Iradachi exclaimed, nodding sagely. “In that case, can I feed you?” he asked, blushing slightly.
"Yeah, okay," Toshi opened her mouth expectantly. If it was anyone else asking she would tease them to no end and joke around, but she wanted to try.
“O-okay, here,” Iradachi exclaimed, awkwardly holding out his fork for her.
"Thank you," Toshi chirped, taking the cake and giggling at how hesitant her friend was even though it had been his idea.
"Look look," Kirishima whispered, poking Bakugou's shoulder and pointing at the kids.
"Oh my God," Ji-ae murmured, clutching at Katsuki's arm. "It's like monkey see, monkey do," she giggled softly.
"I wanna be jealous, cause that's my little baby, but they're so innocent, it's too adorable," Kirishima said, leaning against Alma's shoulder.
“What are you looking at?” Iradachi demanded, finally noticing the adults staring at them.
"Nothing, you two are just cute, that's all," Alma explained while Kirishima laughed against her chest.
“Do we get to open presents now?” Dachi asked, wrinkling his nose, quickly changing the subject.
“Yeah, yeah, ya little brat, just lemme get the table cleared off,” Bakugou huffed, pushing up from his chair.
"Yaaay, I can't wait to see your little faces," Kirishima cheered, rolling up the sleeves of his shirt up to his elbows to help his friend, but Alma held him in place. "What's wrong?” he asked, frowning.
"I'm feeling too light right now," she murmured, her quirk activating.
"From me rolling up my sleeves? You're so easy," he chuckled, leaning in to steal a kiss.
Ji-ae snorted in amusement, ushering the kids to the living room before following her husband to help him. “Thank you for the lovely dinner, babe,” she purred, setting the dishes in the sink before wrapping her arms around his waist.
“It was nothing,” Bakugou grunted, turning to pull her into his arms as well. “Though you look good enough to eat,” he murmured, his hands slipping lower to grab a handful of her ass.
"You know, after the kids go to bed, maybe I can give you my special gift," Kirishima whispered teasingly. "I know you're supposed to leave milk out for Santa, but maybe this Santa can give you some milk instead."
"You're not helping!" Alma groaned. "Stop that, I can't think about that right now..."
“Don’t tempt me,” Ji-ae moaned breathily, pressing her face into his chest.
“After the kids are asleep, I wanna unwrap you and have a taste,” Katsuki drawled teasingly, his head snapping up at the shrill scream that came from the other room.
“Dachi!” Ji-ae gasped, her blood freezing at the sound.
"Toshi!" Alma jumped, hoping to find a scraped knee or something simple that could be easily cured with a band-aid and a kiss. "Toshinori, what happened, baby?"
She found the children hiding under a table, the window open and the curtains completely torn apart. "Kacchan! Kiri! Jicchan!" she screamed, taking both kids in her arms. "Someone came in through the window, or tried, I don't know..."
Bakugou was the first through the door, his hand open, ready to aim an explosion at the intruder, only to find the room empty other than Alma and the children. Growling under his breath, his quirk crackled as he clenched his hand into a fist while he scanned the window. “What did you see?” he asked, his voice softening slightly as he turned to the kids.
“It was the same monster I saw in my closet!” Iradachi cried. “I told you it was real!” Bakugou’s eyes widened in shock before the sound of Ji-ae’s quirk could be heard from the kitchen, followed by a startled cry.
“Ji-ae!”
"He had a gun I think," Toshi whimpered, still holding her friend. She figured her quirk could probably stop a bullet if the man tried to shoot.
"Alma! Bakugou! A little help?" Kirishima grunted.
"We don't know if he's alone, but if he had a gun that means he doesn't trust his quirk," Alma mused. "Can you two stay in the closet? Don't make a noise, stay inside until mommy is back. If someone else tries to open, blind them, explode them, punch them, I don't care, I'll deal with the commission afterwards."
“Coming!” Bakugou snarled, rushing back toward the kitchen. The sound of dishes breaking could be heard over with the fizzle and snap of Ji-ae’s fireworks.
"Is everyone okay?" Alma called, following after making sure the kids were safe.
"So far so good," Kirishima growled, his eyes glowing red in his unbreakable form.
"Now who’s the asshole crashing our Christmas dinner?" she grunted, grabbing one of the villain's legs as he tried to escape to another room.
“Ji-ae?” Bakugou called, not finding her in the kitchen. “Kiri, where’s Ji-ae?” he asked, though as soon as the question was out of his mouth, he heard her scream from the bedroom. Tearing into the room, he froze, Ji-ae held captive by two masked men, one of them holding a knife to her throat as the other pointed a gun at Bakugou. “Not a step further Dynamight,” the one with the knife rasped, his blade pressing into her skin, drawing a dark bead of blood to the surface. “Not unless you wanna watch your pretty little wife die,” he added, laughing as he took a deep breath, smelling Ji-ae’s hair.
“She’s even prettier in person. I got a good eyeful last night as I hid in your closet. You’re a lucky bastard.”
"Dynamight!" the man Alma was holding called, which only made her even more upset. "Hey, I'm right here! I guess for now Vibe and Riot will have to do," she joked with a smirk, stomping his elbows until his bones gave out, and banging his head on the floor until he fainted. "Can you take care of him, baby? I'll see if there's anyone else in the house."
"That was so hot..." Kirishima breathed, taking the first villain over his shoulder.
“You got a death wish, asshole?” Bakugou hissed, his eyes flashing dangerously. “If you know what’s good for you, you’ll get your hands off my wife,” he growled, his voice menacing.
“Shut up! We’re the ones in control here!” the intruder barked. “This is for our leader, who you locked up the other day! You’re gunna be sorry you messed with our gang!”
"Okay, so the kids are okay, Kiri is okay, that guy can barely move..." Alma mumbled, running up the stairs. "Jicchan! Where are you? Kacchan! I couldn't find anyone el- fuck," she stopped by the bedroom door.
“Don’t you get it?” Ji-ae muttered, struggling in the intruder’s grasp. “You’re outnumbered now, your friends aren’t gunna help you.”
“Sh-shut up bitch! Keep your damn mouth shut, or I’ll cut you up!”
“Katsuki, this is stupid, fuck ‘em up!” Ji-ae exclaimed, hissing as the blade cut into her more.
“Don’t move, dumbass!” Bakugou growled, his hands shaking.
"Jicchan! Just stay there for a second, I'm he- we're here," Alma had to control herself not to scream and scare the kids. "Now we can do this the hard way or the easy way, gentlemen, the only difference is that with the easy way, you get to keep all your teeth," she murmured before she started to hum a song, quietly powering up.
Bakugou glanced over at Alma, already formulating a plan. She was surely going to use her Blinding Love attack and once the villains were blinded he could get in there and free Ji-ae. The only problem was the gun.
“Oi, Red Riot!” he called, drawing his friend to the room. If he could shield Alma from any stray bullets Bakugou’d feel a lot better about this plan.
"Yes sir," Kirishima dropped the man he was carrying by the door and immediately stepped in front of his wife when he saw the gun. "Now let's not panic..."
"Close your eyes, sweetie," Alma whispered, holding her hands out, even without her light directing gauntlets it would work. "BLINDING LOVE!" she screamed before her brightness swallowed the room.
That was Bakugou’s cue to move, thrusting his hands behind him as he let out a controlled explosion to propel him forward. Ji-ae was already struggling against her captor by the time Bakugou got to them.
Meanwhile Kirishima jumped towards the gun, knocking it out of the villain's hand just as one shot was fired, lucky the bullet didn't even crack through his hardening. "Vibe, I got the gun!" he exclaimed and Alma dimmed her glow, running to help Bakugou.
"Knives are child's play," she laughed, knowing she couldn't get hurt.
“Ji-ae, duck! FucKING DIE!!” Bakugou bellowed, pulling Ji-ae to his side as he swung his right hand to set off an explosion right in the villain’s face.
"I called the cops, they should be here soon," Kirishima kicked the gun away, while throwing punches left and right. "They probably have lame quirks, no decent villain needs this shit. It's not manly at all!"
"Jicchan, are you okay?" Alma asked, taking a good look at her friend, searching for any serious injuries.
Ji-ae took a shaky breath as she shook her head. “Just where he had the knife to my throat,” she said, gingerly feeling how deep the cut was. It was long, but not deep, but as she pulled her hand away it was covered with blood. “Don’t let Dacchan see me like this,” she said, swaying slightly, the rush of adrenaline leaving her lightheaded. “I don’t want him to worry.” Before her legs could give out, Katsuki was behind her, catching her and holding her tightly against his chest, his face tense.
"Son of a bitch! I should kill you!" Alma kicked the man who did that to her friend for good measure. "It's okay, the kids are totally fine. I'll take the trash out and let Kiri handle the police. I won't let anything bad happen to them." She gently kissed Ji-ae's forehead and tapped Bakugou on the shoulder before piling up the villains on her shoulders, leaving through the window just as the cops pulled over.
“Come on,” Katsuki said, his voice hoarse as he easily lifted Ji-ae, carrying her to the bathroom. “Kats, I can walk—“ she argued weakly, but one look at his face was enough to quiet her.
Setting her down carefully on the counter, he quickly washed his hands before reaching for the first aid kit. He cleaned the blood from her skin and disinfected the wound before covering it with gauze, his brows knitting together as he focused.
“Kats... Katsuki,” Ji-ae murmured once he finished, her hand going to his cheek, caressing his warm skin with her thumb. “It’s alright, I’m alright,” she insisted softly.
Bakugou caught her hand, covering it with his as he leaned into her touch. “Seeing you like that, with that knife to your throat…” he cut off, shaking his head as his voice failed him.
“I’m sorry,” Ji-ae whispered, her bottom lip trembling. “I didn’t mean to scare you.”
“I don’t ever wanna see you in that position again,” Bakugou exclaimed.
“I can’t promise I’ll never be in a position like that again, but—“ Bakugou cut her off as his lips collided with hers, all his relief pouring into the passionate kiss as he crushed her to his chest.
“I love you so fuckin’ much,” he whispered fiercely, squeezing his eyes shut as he pressed his forehead to hers.
“I love you too, babe,” Ji-ae murmured, losing herself in his embrace for the moment. “I should probably change into something clean,” she suggested, plucking at her blood stained top. Bakugou nodded silently, helping her out of the blouse and going in search of a fresh sweater—something with a high collar to hide the bandage on her neck—before they went down to check on their son.
After leaving the villains outside to be arrested, Alma ran to the living room. The window was still open, it was dark and completely silent. She closed the window and knocked on the closet door. "Hey Toshi baby, it's mommy."
"If it's really mommy, tell me something only mommy would know!" a little voice came from inside.
"Hmmm, your favorite ice cream flavor is strawberry?"
"That's mommy," Toshinori whispered as if no one else had that information, slowly opening the door. "What happened?"
"We caught the bad guys, like we always do."
“Where’s my mom?” Iradachi cried, rubbing at his nose, sniffling.
"She's okay, she's upstairs with your dad, they're coming down soon," Alma held him even tighter. "No need to cry, I love you two so much."
"Is daddy upstairs too?" Toshi asked, she didn't look like she’d cried, but her dress was tear stained.
"He’s outside, talking to the officers."
"All sorted," Kirishima closed the door behind him once the police left and Toshi ran at full speed into his arms. "Careful, you're stronger than you think."
"It was so scary, daddy! But I was brave like you!"
"Look, Dacchan! It's mommy! Go give her a hug, but be gentle, okay?" Alma warned before laying on her back, taking a deep breath to keep from crying.
“MOMMY!!” Iradachi cried, hurrying over to her as Ji-ae dropped to her knees to embrace him, Katsuki gently stroking his hair. “Mommy are you okay?”
“Yes, I’m alright, baby,” Ji-ae replied, kissing the top of his head and gently wiping the tears from his cheek. “Thanks to daddy and Alma and Eiji,” she said, lifting her face to smile at her friends.
"Yeah well, nobody messes with my best friend and leaves without a few broken bones," Alma exclaimed.
"I wanna be a hero too! So next time I can help fight the bad guys," Toshinori skipped all the way to her uncle and auntie, holding out her arms so Bakugou would pick her up.
"You can do that, but only when you're older and have a license."
"Oh, you waited until you had your license, Vibe?" Kirishima teased.
“You’ll be a great hero some day,” Bakugou whispered to Toshinori, grinning down at her as he lifted her easily.
"Yessss, I'll be... the Killer Hero, Face Punch!" she giggled.
"Okay, now you sound like your uncle, it's a bit worrying," Alma sat up. "Let's open your gifts before you decide to become Princess Murder or something like that."
“Hey, sounds like a good name to me,” Bakugou teased, winking at Toshi as he set her back down. At the mention of presents, Iradachi disentangled himself from his mother’s arms to run to the tree, pulling gifts out.
“PRESENTS!” he cried in his excitement, forgetting his fear from earlier.
Wait for me!" Toshi followed. "Open this one first, it's from me, I chose it all by myself, it's a pair of roller skates like mine so we can race!" she pointed at the big box with All Might wrapping paper.
"Usually we wait until the person opens the present to see what it is," Kirishima laughed.
Iradachi tore the wrapping paper to shreds, still excited even though Toshinori had already spoiled the surprise. “These are great!! Thank you!” he cried, hugging the skates to his chest before grabbing one of the gifts to thrust at Toshi. “Now you open this one!”
"Okay, to make things fair, you get to look at it before I do," Toshi closed her eyes as she unwrapped the gift carefully, the complete opposite of her friend. "So... can I look?"
“Mhmm! It’s the newest Dynamight action figure! Now you have a full set!” Iradachi exclaimed excitedly. Ji-ae snorted, covering her mouth with her hand.
“What? It ain’t fair that she’s got a Vibe, a Red Riot, and a Youngblood, but no Dynamight,” Bakugou growled under his breath.
"Talk about a narcissist..." Alma teased.
"Oh my gosh! Thank you so much, I love it!" Toshinori said, nearly hypnotized by the gift, analyzing every detail of the costume. "I'll put it next to auntie on my shelf, so you'll always be together."
“Aren’t you sweet,” Ji-ae cried, getting a little teary eyed as she leaned into Bakugou’s side.
"Can we do this every Christmas? Without the bad guys coming in part.  Just the dinner and the gifts part?" Toshi asked, opening a box with a little All Might onesie Alma picked for her.
"Of course we can!" Ji-ae exclaimed while Bakugou nodded, smiling softly down at his friend's daughter.

"𝐀𝐦 𝐈 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧?", 𝐒. 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐜𝐡𝐢
summary: inspired by a daredevil scene and its pure fluff from timeskip!daichi.
warnings: alcohol, drunkness
“Let me see if I can get you a cab?” Daichi had said. But no, you wanted to have him walk you home even though both of you may have been slightly tipsy. The date itself was set-up and you both agreed to have it at a casual setting.
As soon as you met Daichi you hit it off, you both talked about everything and it was so easy to talk to him. He was considerate and kind to you and stared really dreamily into your eyes as you were talking.
Some drinks had been drunk and next thing you know you were insisting that Daichi walk you home since you found out he does not live that far from you. Daichi, being slightly tipsy, agreed and walked you home.
“It’s starting to rain!” You said in excitement looking up at the sky. Daichi gasped from beside you in equal amazement.
“Woah!”
Suffice to say, maybe you both had one too many shots. Daichi took off his jacket and covered both of you up from the rain. You took one of your own arms and held up half of the jacket for him. You turned your head towards him and smiled and he smiled right back at you.
“Whose idea was this?” He asked jokingly.
“Not mine! Maybe it was yours!” You said deflecting the blame onto him. You both laughed even harder and then suddenly your body moved out from under the jacket.
“What are you doing!?” He yelled as he watched a fully formed rain drop on you.
“Am I rain?” You yelled in wonder. You twirled and met Daichi’s eyes who looked even more in love from this one interaction. You both laughed and he took your hand and forced you to run all the way back to his apartment.
“That was interesting,” Daichi huffed out as he tried to catch his breath from running for that long.
“I like you Daichi,” You said, equally out of breath.
“That um I- I just wow uh,” Dachi said, becoming very flustered at your comment. At this you laughed and pulled him close.
You both smiled at each other and kissed. It was short and sweet and both of you came out equally blushing at the kiss. When you got a cab home all you could think about was how sweet and cute Daichi was.
This man was going to be the death of you!

Kags is crushing hard on Yama without knowing that is is a crush. He gets a butterflies in his tummy, blushes easily whenever Yama greets him or talks to him. He doesn't really know how to deal with all of these new feelings, except that he knows that is yama that is the reason for it. One day at practice, he practically spikes a ball at yama while yama just says hi with the message of; stop making me fee like this. It's hard enough to make yama lose his breath for a few seconds and he 1)
anon said:  nursing a bloody nose and is more surprised that hurt. Tsukki is pissed, but before he can start his bad nothing, dachi practically drags kags out with Suga in tow while the other help yama. Suga and daichi manage to get kags to talk and understand his feelings after a bit of yelling (daichi wont allow violence in his team) and 20 minutes later-Kags walks into the gym. He apologises and confesses to yama. And thus start an unexpected relationship. 2) Thank you so much, love your writing :D
That “get out of my school” meme but instead Kageyama tries to murder Yamaguchi
Something isn’t right. This, Kageyama knows. And Yamaguchi has something to do with it.
Kageyama doesn’t really understand what’s going on-- but all he knows is that when he and Yamaguchi are in the same room, his heart hammers heavily in his chest and his stomach turns. It makes Kageyama’s cheeks flush and makes him feel light headed.
For the most part, he can ignore it-- he has more important things to than wonder why Yamaguchi makes him feel like this. Like volleyball. Which is usually where they interact anyway, which makes it easy to pretend nothing is going on. After all, Yamaguchi is the only one this happens around-- evidenced by the times they’ve been left alone whilst studying with Tsukishima and Hinata, or when they do drills together, or the few times he’s been escorted to the nurse by Yamaguchi.
It frustrates him to no end. So you can’t blame him for panicking when he sees Yamaguchi’s bright smile directed right at him.
Kageyama throws the ball without any warning in his own brain, and surely without warning for poor Yamaguchi. Kageyama is horrified to see Yamaguchi tumble to the ground next to Tsukishima, who ducks to the side instinctively as the ball bounces off Yamaguchi’s face. There’s a gasp from the others in the gym, and it’s dead silent as everyone freezes. The ball falling back on the linoleum echoes in the silence, and before Kageyama can turn away to even have a little bit of deniability Daichi is already there.
Kegayama may not know a lot of social cues, but he knows Daichi-san’s forced smile and the tight grip on his shoulder is enough to let him know he fucked up.
“Kageyama...”
“I-- I’m sorry, Daichi-san, I don’t know what--”
Daichi cuts him off, squees=zing his shoulder more. “No need to apologize to me, but you’d better apologize to Yamaguchi-kun. And you might want to do it before coach gets here.”
“Right. Uh-- Yamaguchi, I’m sorry. I don’t know what came over me, and it’s not very respectable of me as a teammate.” Kageyama says with a deep bow. Yamaguchi, with a towel that was hastily shoved onto his nose by a frazzled Yachi, waves his hand.
“No, no, it’s alright..! I-- I wasn’t paying enough attention obviously...Thank you for apologizing.”
“R- Right. I’m sorry. Again.” Kageyama apologizes once more before he stands upright once again. Yachi leads Yamaguchi off to the nurse’s office, and Kageyama expects to be able to go right back to getting ready for practice, but when he turns around, Daichi and Suga are waiting, arms crossed over their chests in an eerily synchronized way.
“Kageyama-kun, why don’t we have a chat in the club room?” Suga suggests, smile threatening enough to make Kageyama shiver. He nods and follows Suga out of the gym, Daichi close behind. The quiet thud of the club room door sends the trio into an uncomfortable silence as they all sit down.
“You know, I wasn’t lying when I said you’re lucky that coach Ukai isn’t here. Violence isn’t going to be tolerated. I just...can’t understand what got into you.” Daichi says, rubbing at his temples. “I mean-- Tsukishima I may see from you, but what has Yamaguchi done to hurt you?”
Suga nods. “Yeah, he’s always so nice and helping you study when Tsukishima won’t. He and Yachi are why your grades are so good right now.”
“I know,” Kageyama groans. “It’s his fault, though! He’s just so-- so-- ugh, when I’m with him my stomach hurts like I’m constipated or something, and I get so warm around him! It’s embarrassing!”
There’s a moment of silence, before Suga bursts out laughing. Kageyama blinks, confused.
“What? What are you laughing at?”
“Kageyama...You have a crush! That’s why he makes you feel funny! Did you think you were allergic to him or something?!”
“No! I didn’t think that!” Suga’s laughter only serves to further embarrass him, and he crosses his arms, glaring at Sugawara. A crush makes a lot of sense though. His sister has described crushes to him before, and he supposes he should’ve figured out the similarities sooner. “I already told you I didn’t mean to hurt him, so can I just go?”
Daichi looks tired as he sighs, running a hand over his face. “I suppose...But Kageyama...You should really address your feelings, instead of letting them build up enough for you to try and break his nose.”
Kageyama looks down, embarrassed. He nods. “You’re probably right. Thank you Daichi-san. Suga-san.”
He stands and quickly makes his way out of the club room and back to the gym-- he feels ready to throw a ball at Tsukishima’s head too at the teasing he gets, and he’s about to when Yamaguchi comes back in with a clean shirt and a freshly-washed face. His nose isn’t bleeding anymore, though he still looks a bit shaken up.
With a deep breath, taking Daichi’s words to heart, he crosses the gym and bows deeply in front of Yamaguchi.
“Yamaguchi! I’m sorry I hit you! I’d like to take you to get ramen after practive to make up for it!”
Kageyama’s words echo in the gym, and for a moment it’s silent. Then, Tsukishima, Tanaka, and Hinata are cackling like crazy. Kageyama straightens to turn and yell at them, but before he can he catches Yamaguchi’s eyes and freezes. Yamaguchi’s cheeks are just as red as his are, and his mouth lightly agape. He stumbles for an answer, but eventually stutters out,
“I-- I mean...Uh, sure. I’ll go get ramen with you. But it’s really fine, I’m not mad...”

My doggies have new harnesses 🥰 Colour matched, of course.
And they get really tired after a walk and yawn and sleep on their dog bed (actually a top mattress but now a dog bed). 🥰
Easy is the pink one with one ear pointy and one ear floppy.
Dacheong is the blue one with both pointy ears and doing the best puppy eyes I have ever seen
💖 If you are considering getting yourself a dog, consider adoption first. Shelters are full of fantastic dogs who need home and love. 💖

RWBY COMBAT ANALYSIS: VELVET SCARLATINA
Tumblr media
"Most people don't know what it's like on the battlefield. I mean, even experienced fighters can get scared and start seeing things. If it happened to Coco, it can happen to anyone."
PHYSICAL
Born in Vale to the human engineer Will and the rabbit Faunus Meg, Velvet Scarlatina was a 20-year-old female during the conflict with the Crown, roughly a year and a half after the Fall of Beacon.  As was common among such mixed-race unions, Velvet inherited her mother’s animalistic traits, in her case a pair of long rabbit ears protruding from her scalp.  Aside from her mother’s physical traits, Velvet also inherited her father’s mechanical expertise, a summer in Atlas ending with the construction of her Anesidora camera prior to her enrollment in Pharos Academy, setting the stage for her rise as one of Beacon’s most accomplished students.  Like many other members of her species, she possessed greatly enhanced vision in low lighting, while her ears provided her with greatly enhanced hearing.  Combined, these traits provided Velvet with exceptional spatial and environmental awareness, allowing her to track and follow disturbances in restrictive terrain.  Notable examples of her superior senses were seen when she detected survivors in the Lower Cavern caves and later finding the sleepwalking Edward Caspian in the middle of the night in Vacuo.  However, Velvet’s ears also held significant limitations, as their long length made them easy targets while also being highly sensitive to touch, a trait that made her a regular victim of Cardin Winchester’s racist bullying when he manhandled her ears.
Beyond her ears, Velvet was a conventional humanoid, standing 5’6” with brown hair and eyes, fair skin, and a slender build.  During her tutelage at Pharos and Beacon Academies, Velvet grew into a formidable athlete, easily keeping pace with her teammates on Team CFVY and shouldering the physical demands of a Huntress.  To accommodate for the versatile nature of her chosen fighting style, Velvet built up a balanced array of attributes that she could emphasize based on the situation, weapon, and opponent.  Despite this balance, Velvet was decidedly speed-oriented in her approach, her agility and dexterity being the crux of her physical component in battle.  She incorporated elegant acrobatics and nimble footwork on the battlefield, while her well-developed dexterity enabled her multitude of weapon proficiencies.  Though she missed the landing, she was still able to grapple between the trees during her initiation with ease, and during the Fall of Beacon, she casually outmaneuvered the hulking Paladin mech, dodging around its weapons while striking at its weak points.  Her dexterity most clearly expressed itself through her Confusion-Fu fighting style, suddenly and seamlessly alternating between the various weapons on her camera to shift between radically different weapon types on the fly.  Her strength was sufficient to heft Yatsuhashi Dachi towards a mole crab, as well as enable heavier hitting fighting styles such as Nora Valkyrie’s.  Despite this, Velvet was not a heavyweight, overpowered by Nebula Violette during a sparring match at Shade Academy and often deferring to her teammate Yatsu to do the heavy lifting.
Despite being regularly kept to the sidelines as the team’s ace up the sleeve, Velvet still found time to get her hands dirty and has soaked up her fair share of punishment, only being subdued by catastrophic hits that immediately disabled her.  She fought through the Fall of Beacon alongside her classmates and single-handedly dispatched an Atlesian Paladin, though she was later struck from behind by a second one leaving her with a noticeable limp to the point that Coco kept her bedridden after the battle.  In Vacuo, she maintained her performance during a long trek through the desert and in battles with the Blind Worm, Carmine Esclados and Bertilak Celadon, and not only persevered, but was able to hold out long enough for help to arrive.  Though overpowered by Nebula, Velvet was still capable of continuing the fight, and I think there is a good reason why the brainwashed Xanthe Rumpole insisted on Nebula continuing to beat on her until she was conclusively defeated.  At the same time, Velvet’s self-confidence was often her greatest hinderance, the mounting trauma of failed missions and the loss of many friends during the Fall of Beacon leaving her regularly anxious, to say nothing of her regular discrimination for being a Faunus.  But more often than not, Velvet was able to steel her nerves and persevere, unwilling to back down from the demands of combat even against overwhelming odds.  She may be sensitive, but she’s not even remotely fragile physically or mentally.
Given her extreme skill-based approach to combat and need to keep her body free, Velvet adopted light combat gear to enable her style while still providing a measure of protection.  On a day-to-day basis, she was garbed in a simple brown jacket and shorts over what appeared to be a skintight bodysuit with light shoes. Her armor consisted of a pair of pauldrons and bracers, providing a minor margin for error, while her camera box was secured to a gold belt.  Lightweight and practical, but only providing moderate protection.
RANKING: Tier 2, Peak Human Fitness
Tumblr media
Truth be told, I debated long and hard about this one, and this ranking is only by the slimmest of margins.  While I typically rate Faunus with anatomical advantages higher, Velvet’s ears are afflicted with major shortcomings that, in the right hands, can significantly counterbalance her enhanced senses.  While grabbing Velvet’s ears obviously won’t be debilitating enough to put her out of commission a’ la an untrained Saiyan’s tail, anyone who does so is still going to have her head on the end of a line.  At the same time, Velvet’s senses are still a major advantage, and can potentially allow her to anticipate and avoid attempts to manhandle her ears.  Otherwise, Velvet is a highly capable athlete with solid performance levels, but nothing she has is truly exceptional when compared to other trained fighters of her caliber.  While Velvet can compensate for her few physical weaknesses and has strong anatomical traits that bolster her tactical viability, raw might is definitely not her ballpark, and she relies almost wholly on armed combat.
MARTIAL
Tumblr media
Velvet Scarlatina’s personally crafted weapon, Anesidora, was nothing less than an engineering marvel.  Outwardly appearing to be nothing more than a simple digital camera, it was in truth a sophisticated computer database connected to a hard-light Dust projector, the latter concealed in a simple wooden box held at her hip.  Pictures taken by the camera could be uploaded into the generator, which used its Dust loadout to create a wire frame energy construct of the subject, specifically weapons.  These projections could vary considerably to account for the functions of the weapon being created, ranging from sharpened blades to blunt objects to flexible cords to high caliber projectiles.  The only limitation of these constructs were their lack of longevity, as the projections could only last for a brief period before dissolving, and the individual pictures of weapons could only be used once.  Velvet’s concept were so advanced that General James Ironwood, head of the most technologically developed military in Remnant, was impressed by the designs when her father showed them to him.
Like the bulk of her peers, Velvet’s training began with an intermediate combat school, passing her exams at Pharos Academy before being accepted to Beacon Academy.  Thanks to her father’s connections with the Atlas military, Velvet was able to procure the resources to build her state-of-the-art weapon, designed specifically to accommodate the practical benefits of her Semblance.  In her initiation, she was paired with the Mistral native Yatsuhashi Dachi, the two escaping a pack of Boarbatusks before joining forces with Coco Adel and Fox Alistair to slaughter eight Ursai, the subsequent Team CFVY coming together through a masterful tactical retreat.  After two years of formal study and sanctioned missions, Velvet and her teammates rose to become one of the school’s most capable units, pulling their weight in the Vytal Festival and the defense of Beacon.  Fortunate enough to survive that hellish day, the team transferred to Shade Academy in Vacuo, where they continued their training and served on the front lines during the conflict with the Crown.  Well-trained and highly experienced, Velvet stood as one of Team CFVY’s heavy hitters, though also a secret weapon due to her preference for a low profile and the nature of her weapon.  Addressing her personal combative capabilities, Velvet’s Photographic Memory and the properties of Anesidora provided her the means to learn differing fighting techniques on the fly after only seeing them once, as well as employ any weapon she has taken a picture of with incredible proficiency.  To put it simply, Velvet’s personal technique was the attack katas of dozens of different martial arts and weapon types plugged into a random number generator, executing radically different fighting styles within seconds of each other.  She has been seen employing polearms, several kinds of swords, staves, bludgeons, firearms of all kids, thrown projectiles, knives, whips, and even flamethrowers when utilizing Bartholomew Oobleck’s Antiquity’s Roast.  Having spent her free time taking pictures of her classmates’ weapons, Velvet had one of the largest pools of skills ever seen in her time, bypassing the need for specific training by memorizing sequences.  Consistent elements regardless of the weapon being used were her regular use of acrobatics to drive her physical component, especially helpful when utilizing more strength-based techniques by putting her full weight behind the blows.  Outside her weapon, Velvet had some skill in raw hand to hand combat, subduing an Ursa during the Breech with her bare hands, though she was overcome by Nebula Violette during a sparring match where they were deprived of their primary weapons.
The best way to describe Velvet’s strategic outlook is “Adaptation through Rote Response”.  With her extremely expansive pool of techniques, Velvet had the means to comfortably function in just about any combat situation by pulling out the most appropriate style to suit the situation, combining rapid reaction time with breadth of skill.  Though a gentle soul, Velvet did not pull her punches and was more than prepared to step up when problems boiled over, going for the throat to end the conflict as efficiently as possible.  Due to her camera being one-use-only for individual pictures, Coco Adel typically kept Velvet in reserve on the battlefield, saving her arsenal for when they needed it as opposed to throwing away all her tools in the early fight.  Though she played support during the Vytal Festival, when the Fall of Beacon escalated, Coco let the bunny cut loose against a rouge Paladin-290 mech suit.  Velvet opened with Ruby Rose’s Crescent Rose and cycled through several different weapons to subvert the mech’s defenses and attack its vulnerable joints, ultimately destroying it with Penny Polendina’s Floating Array.  In single combat, Velvet used this same mentality to adapt to her opponent’s fighting style.  Come at her with a knife?  She pulls a gun.  You’re best at close quarters?  She keeps you at range.  Action, reaction.  That being said, Velvet was not simply a reactive fighter and would take the initiative when need be.  When operating this way, her fighting style was more erratic and unorthodox, suddenly switching to different fighting styles in the middle of a fight before the opponent could get a bead on her.  She would typically open with a single weapon or fighting style to get a feel for the opponent, then abruptly change styles to catch them off guard once they were set into a comfortable rhythm.  Despite her kind and earnest demeanor, Velvet also made ready use of psychological warfare tactics to undermine her foes.  She would downplay her threat level to trick her opponents into underestimating her, making them thinks he was a timid little bunny before she abruptly unleashed her prowess on them.  This combination of martial versatility and unexpected tricks made Velvet dangerously unpredictable and lethal on the battlefield, particularly when accounting for her combat experience.
However, unorthodox does not mean unbeatable.  Despite her great skill and tricky tactics, Velvet’s fighting style had several significant holes coming from logistics.  While her Semblance and weapon could perfectly recreate a subject’s fighting style, they could not replicate their additional powers or their specific tactics, simply a mechanical recreation of someone’s physical moveset.  As such, while Velvet could wield her vast arsenal with the finesse of the original wielder, she could not wield it with the same proficiency due to not having actually developed that specific skill.  And because her technique was based around being able to do everything at once, it meant she couldn’t do anything particularly well.  Jack of all trades, master of none.  Velvet attempted to compensate for this by cycling through her various weapons over the course of a fight to keep the opponent guessing, employing all of her skills in equal measure and continuously changing the rules of engagement.  However, where other fighters like Qrow Branwen and Pyrrha Nikos mastered a balanced array of skills that could be adapted to the situation, their versatility coming from their nuanced applications of that flexible movepool, Velvet’s versatility came entirely from alternative weapon proficiencies, weapons that she could only use once and one at a time, making her paradoxically overspecialized and non-committal.  When forced to rely on individual skills, Velvet could be left scrambling.  When she and Nebula Violette sparred at Shade, armed with a simple staff and club respectively, Velvet was denied the chance to adjust her approach, allowing the slower yet stronger Nebula to leverage her superior unarmed skills to overpower her.  The only weapons that Velvet had regular access to were those of her teammates, and if she didn’t have a workable tool for the job, she had nothing to fall back on beyond her intermediate skill in unarmed combat.  Furthermore, Anesidora’s lack of sustainability and the growing expense of the Dust needed to power it meant that Velvet’s long-term viability could be capped if confronted by an adversary who can answer all of her skills.
RANKING: Tier 3, Standard Mastery
Tumblr media
Velvet Scarlatina’s incredibly expansive skill set makes her one of the most versatile combatants in the RWBY setting, with the ability to effectively respond to nearly any combat situation with the most appropriate fighting style, allowing her to change the rules of the engagement at the drop of a hat while also adapting to changing situations.  At the same time, Velvet is heavily restricted by her need to alter her technique.  Because she is merely copying the fighting style of someone else, it means that she isn’t employing that style to the same degree of the original and cannot rely on any individual technique.  She compensates by building up a massive collection of weapons to choose from, resulting in a thinly spread skill set.  Despite this, Velvet’s track record demonstrates that she is an absolutely devastating combatant, tearing apart Grimm and Atlesian combat drones alike.  These weaknesses would only come up if she were confronted by an opponent of equal or greater skill, an especially small demographic indeed.
SPECIAL
Velvet Scarlatina’s Semblance is a Photographic Memory which allows her to memorize and replicate any fighting style she has seen.  Simply by observing another combatant’s moves and stances, Velvet can intrinsically replicate these movements herself with near flawless accuracy.  This power was the cornerstone of Velvet’s entire approach to combat, as it allowed her to build up a vast library of techniques and styles simply by memorizing the sequences.  Where most combatants may need months to years of training and study to perfect their techniques, Velvet only needed seconds, absorbing new fighting methods like a sponge to water.  The development of her weapon was specifically to make full use of this ability, providing her with the specific weapons of that style to elevate her combat performance to a degree comparable to the original.  Even without a weapon, Velvet was able to leverage her mental database by alternating stances and movements, seen in her battle with Nebula when she shifted styles on the fly to confuse and disorient her.  However, her eventual defeat highlighted how her proficiencies were limited if she lacked access to the appropriate weapons, with Nebula eventually able to overpower Velvet with her superior close combat talent.  While Velvet was perfectly capable of exploiting the raw physical component in battle, her reliance on her weapon suggest at the very least a slight lack of confidence in this method.  Furthermore, Velvet could only replicate the physical technique of a subject’s martial arts, and any abilities that were specifically tied to the subject’s Semblance or other abilities were beyond her ability to mimic. Sure, Velvet could use Ember Celica just like Yang could, but the power of her punches can’t match hers without Burn to amp them to their max.  Velvet’s approach was based around leveraging her library of techniques as fully as possible, getting around her inability to use a certain style to its nth degree by being able to unleash all of her styles, which are still highly refined, on a whim.
Aside from her Semblance, Velvet’s most visible special power came from her use of hard-light Dust as the primary feature of her weapon.  Typically utilized in the creation of defensive barriers, hard-light Dust is the rarest and most expensive variety of the substance, very difficult to procure outside of Atlas’s near monopoly.  Thanks to her father’s connections, Velvet was able to obtain a ready supply of hard-light Dust to make her weapon practical in the field.  She used this Dust to craft functional replicas of the weapons she took pictures of, molding it into anything from sharpened blades to ballistic weapons.  Depending on the weapon she was utilizing, Velvet could either be as precise as a scalpel or as destructive as a warhead.  Her use of a replicated Gambol Shroud allowed her to  restrain and disable the Paladin, while her recreation of Vega’s grappling hooks let her capably traverse the Emerald Forest.  Alternatively, her projectiles allowed her to sow massive destruction with her Dust.  While her gunshots and the faux flames from the Antiquity’s Roast were quite powerful, her greatest display of magnitude was when she recreated Penny Polendina’s Floating Array at the end of her bout with the Paladin, utilizing its energy cannon to obliterate the disabled mech.  However, strong as they were, the Dust weapons could not be maintained indefinitely, and would dissipate after a few hits, forcing Velvet to regularly switch up weapons and fighting styles over the source of a fight.  Though this has never been stated outright, I believe that more complex weapons require greater amounts of Dust to generate them, while also being more prone to burn out due to their mechanical demands.  As such, Velvet typically favors simpler and direct weapon applications, only breaking out the more intricate gadgets when needed, such as when she used Weiss Schnee’s Myrtenaster as a simple sword and only used Floating Array’s blaster as a last resort.
Between her photographic Semblance and Dust loadout, Velvet possesses the capabilities of an almost literal one-woman-army.  Her powers enabled her to answer any technique used against her by fighting fire with fire, while the Dust in her weapon provided her with a reliable means to take her collection of skills to the nth degree.  Instead of simply supporting martial combat with her superpowers, she blended them into one, using all of her attributes together in one package.  However, the nature of these abilities also highlight her limitations.  Velvet may be able to call upon any fighting style she has witnessed, but she cannot access the original’s powers and obviously doe not employ the same tactics.  In a sense, this reduces her myriad of proficiencies to a collection of one-trick-ponies, simply repeating mechanics of a core moveset.  The limitations of her Dust are more prevalent, especially in the wake of the Atlas Dust embargo.  With her supply chain reduced, Velvet began using her weapon far more sparingly to conserve her resources, only cutting loose when she needs to.  While an intelligent strategy, it means that Velvet’s ability to make full use of her powers is limited, at least when confronted with opponents capable of matching her in all the areas that count.  Velvet’s ability to fully utilize her Semblance is determined by the weapons her camera has access to, something that weighed heavily on her when utilizing the final reminders of fallen friends.
RANKING: Tier 3, Specialized Combat
Tumblr media
Velvet Scarlatina’s combative applications of her special abilities easily represent one of the greatest hybridizations of physical and ethereal combat in the RWBY setting.  Her ability to memorize any fighting style she has encountered allows her to automatically build a vast collection of options that allow her to adapt to changing situations and undercut the enemy, while her Dust loadout elevates this by allowing her to fully utilize these techniques with the appropriate weapons.  The problems arise in how overspecialized she is, her subversions coming from shock and surprise rather than active attempts to bypass the opponent’s guard.  But to her credit, Velvet’s abilities are an incredibly dangerous package by their nature, and anyone who came after her would be in for a very rude awakening.
OVERALL RANKING: TIER 3, ADVANCED HUNTRESS
Tumblr media
Velvet Scarlatina’s ranking in the Combat Analysis serves as a testament to her advanced skill while also highlighting the things she still needs to iron out.  Velvet is arguably the most dangerous member of Team CFVY, her unpredictable fighting style and Semblance making her an extremely difficult opponent to engage since she is essentially a dozen opponents coming at once.  Her balanced array of attributes, both physical and martial, are reinforced by her powers and abilities that enable her to leverage all of her skills on demand and extremely quickly, allowing her to function in any combat scenario while exploiting circumstantial factors.  As it stands, the only things preventing her from being a Tier 2 are her tactics and the logistical limitations of her powers and equipment.  Despite her amazingly broad skill set, none of these skills are advanced enough for her to dominate with, as she is simply replicating someone else’s technique rather than executing something she herself has elevated to the nth degree.  And rather than working to subvert the enemy through alternating her stance and technique, she simply switches from one to another to catch them off guard, the suddenness of the change being more important than what the change can deliver.  Velvet’s versatility and unpredictable approach give her the building blocks of a Master Huntress, but she still employs these methods with the mentality of an Advanced Huntress, wielding refined techniques as a blunt instrument and relying on her gadgets and powers rather than developed skill.
Contrasting Velvet with her peers, I would argue that she represents a less refined version of Pyrrha Nikos and an inversion of Adam Taurus.  Both Velvet and Pyrrha operate with a rotating wheel of skill configurations that they cycle through over the course of the fight in order to adapt to and undermine the enemy, but where Pyrrha mixes and matches her skills to exploit openings and disrupt the opponent’s momentum, Velvet simply switches up her technique to get them back peddling in bewilderment.  Pyrrha was an opportunistic savant where Velvet is merely a random juggernaut.  As for Adam, he and Velvet have diametrically opposed skill sets, Velvet being far better armed and having a wider variety of skills to draw on.  However, where Adam focused on developing his core technique as a reliable foundation for any situation, Velvet relies on alternative techniques to give her style depth that her individual skills simply lack.  Velvet is spread thin between just about every proficiency in the book, and all the more dangerous for it, an unpredictable jack of all trades who could do anything at the snap of a finger.  As Coco Adel pointed out, “Velvet can fight like anybody, but nobody can fight like Velvet”.
Tumblr media
*I wish to apologize for the delay in this profile. The biggest hurdle I had here was the lack of images of Velvet to incorporate into the final posting. While Velvet demonstrated a great deal in her one on-screen fight, I find her displays in the books more compelling and more indicative of her skill. Seeing as there are no images from the books, my choices were either fill it up with the same few shots from the Paladin fight or turn to fab art. I opted to sidestep the issue and only include pictures for the verdict sections, but if things change down the road I may update this.*

Author’s note: Ah, this is my first request,,,,,,, I hope that you liked it!
Daichi was troubled, You concluded as Daichi didn’t reply to your question for the second time.
“What’s wrong, Daichi?” You had asked gently as you placed a hand on his, startling him into reality.
“Um, fine, fine.” Daichi says as he smiles.
“Don’t you dare and bullshit me, Sawamura Daichi.” You say as you point a finger towards him. He smiles at your tone.
“Yeah, of course, I can’t hide anything from you. The thing is,“ Daichi says as he fiddles with the mugs and you lean in closer, “you know how me and Asa broke up 6 months ago?”
Oh, you remember how that bitch had cheated on Daichi and then had the audacity to say that Daichi was holding her back. She pissed you off, mostly because you thought that she was a nice girl like Daichi did.
“I still haven’t told my parents that we broke up.” You truly didn’t know how to react. A part of you thought that he was kidding. Asa and Daichi had known each other for a year and had been dating for two years. Dachi’s mother loved Asa.
“Wait, are you serious?”
“Yup.” Daichi said, with a look on a face that told you that he didn’t believe it himself.
“You know that your mother loved Asa, right?” A smile forms at your lips remembering Daichi’s and his mother’s first meeting, “Do you remember what she said?”
Daichi groaned remembering and in order to make him even more embarrassed, you said it, mimicking his mother, “Ah! She has such good hips. That’s good for bearing children.”
You gave Daichi thumbs up, like his mother had and Daichi rolled his eyes.
“She said that about you too, if you don’t remember.” It was now your turn to be embarrassed.
“Honestly, she would love anyone as long as they have ‘child bearing’ hips.” You say, hoping to close that topic once and for all.
“Well, you know talking about child bearing hips, I have a favor to ask you.” Daichi said as your eyes widened at his words.
“Just adopt a fucking child. I am not going to have a kid for you just because you are single right now.” You said sharply.
“Huh, huH- what? How did you- I don’t want you to have my kids because I am single. I don’t have time for having kids. What the fuck, ______? Why would you tell me that?” Daichi asked you and you rolled your eyes.
“What favor would you have to ask me after talking about my ‘child bearing hips’?” You snapped.
“First of all, let’s stop talking about hips all together-”
“Agreed.”
“And secondly, just listen to me without interrupting me.” Daichi said and you nodded.
“You know how it is my parents 30th marriage anniversary-” nod “and I was going to tell my parents that Asa and I broke up a week ago but I told my sister me that if I didn’t want to destroy one of my parent’s most important day then, I will shut up and bring someone that my mother will like to the party.”
Oh no, “And I wasn’t thinking about asking you but now that I think back my mother likes you the best. Sure, she loves Asa as my girlfriend but she loves you as if you are her own daughter.”
“That makes us dating incest.” You pointed out and Daichi rolled his eyes.
“I am serious, _______ , I am not going to introduce you as my girlfriend, just as my plus one. We will just imply that we are dating and if she asks about us later, I can just say that we are just too friendly and nothing else.” Daichi says with such a serious look in his eyes that you are convinced that it is a good plan.
But your brain reminds you that it is not a good plan. Why? Because you are fucking in love with Daichi. Yes, you have read books and you know what happens when people fake date. They fall in love but this is not a book, this is real life and you know that if Daichi didn’t have feelings for you in all this time, one evening of holding your waist is not going to change anything for him. However, you are not sure that you could ever come back from one night of being your boyfriend.
“I am not sure, Daichi. I like your family, I was invited to your parent’s anniversary and not as your plus one. It means a lot for me, I don’t want to lose that by lying to them.” Dachi nods, understanding but then with a hopeful glint in his eyes. He says, “But it’s not technically lying.”
Ah, fuck there goes your resolve. In high school, you have come up prefect strategy to say ‘no’ Daichi and it always involved you not looking at Daichi and for some reason you had forgotten about that strategy and fucking looked at him.
“Okay fine.”
Those two words had changed everything since you had said it. Daichi was acting weird, not really weird but more like a boyfriend. There was this one time when he had shown up at lunch in his cop uniform. (Everyone in your office had swooned over the fit young cop.)
To cultivate chemistry, he had said.
“I thought you said we were not going to act like a couple. Just a couple of friends being too friendly.” Daichi had just shrugged and said trust me. You felt like he was misusing your trust.
Then, there was that one time when Daichi had showed up with coffee on your doorstep, still in his police uniform because he said that you should not go to that cafe anymore because the barista surely doesn’t have good intentions towards you. You tried to argue against him but you lost once again because you looked at his face.
Dumb ______, you only have one rule.
And suddenly Daichi was everywhere. Before the agreement, you and Daichi had been involved in your life passively but now you were always there. Before this, Daichi just knew that you felt frustrated when your boss was being a sexist bastard but now, he was there to see you when you were frustrated. Before this you knew that Daichi was in a rather sad mood if he ever let a culprit get away but now you were there to cheer him up when he felt sad.
That’s when you realize, somehow this wasn’t just one night of hand holding, it had, somehow, turned to be a week of Daichi as your boyfriend. To be honest, you don’t have enough willpower to stop it. You are enjoying having Daichi as your (fake) boyfriend a little too much.
So, you and Daichi make it through a week of (fake) dating each other and then, the dreaded day comes. Daichi would say that Asa couldn’t make it somehow and he would show you off on his arm. Before, his mom would freak out and he  would whisk you away on dance floor.
The plan was perfect and so was your dress. (However, Daichi’s reaction to you in your dress was somehow even more perfect. You never thought that you would be the one who could instigate such a reaction from Daichi.) (You have decided to not think too much about it right now.) (However, you will definitely revisit the memory of Daichi with wide eyes and slightly parted lips at the sight of you tonight.)
When you reach at the party, it is nothing out of ordinary. Some people ask Daichi where Asa is. Daichi’s cousin makes conversation with you and you are more than happy to indulge them in small talk. Daichi never leaves your side. It has been a very long time since Daichi has stood beside you so fiercely. Before Asa, you and Daichi were inseparable but after Asa, you both knew that things had to change. (To be honest, you didn’t know you had realized that when Daichi’s mom had made an offhand comment about the fact that she had always expected you and Daichi to be together, in front of Asa.) So, you changed things. You weren’t attached. You met up once a month always with Asa, other than that it was Karasuno vbc reunion or family reunion. Occasionally, Daichi and you would call each other when you were at the lowest of the low. It was easy to be vulnerable with each other, even if you had partners. You and Daichi chalked it up being really really good friends. (Even though it left a bad taste in your mouth, it felt like you were cheating.)
You finally reached the center of the room where Daichi’s parents were at. (It had taken you 30 minutes to reach his parents. Small talks were not that small.) You force all the thoughts of the past to be erased along with the feelings that are rising in you.
“________ !” Daichi’s mom exclaimed as she saw and hugged you.
“Yes, please forget your own son.” Daichi comments after he shares a brief side hug with his father. His mother just rolled her eyes as she let you go.
“Where is Asa?” His mother asked and you tense up. Daichi placed a hand on the small of the back and as you assumed you can tell that this action was not missed by people around you. You feel a faint blush rise as multiple people look at you.
“She couldn’t make it today.” Daichi said but his mother didn’t look distressed at all, like Daichi and you had feared that she would be. In fact she looked overjoyed.
“So, you two are together-” You tugged Daichi’s shirt as to indicate that they should not let it escalate. However, Daichi didn’t bulge, ah fuck, “I had been hoping for such a long time. I always knew, I always knew that just friends was nothing but bullshit.”
As Daichi’s mother stopped ranting for a second, Daichi’s father spoke up and said, “Is she your girlfriend?”
“Ah n-”
“Yes, _______ is my girlfriend.” Daichi had said and the declaration had sent a shiver down your spine. The song changed and Daichi took this as a chance to sweep you away from the chaos.
This is it, this is your limit. You truly cannot go back to being friends with Daichi after this.
As Daichi and you stand in the middle of the dance floor with at least 20 more couples. (Daichi’s parents had invited half of Miyagi or so it seems.)
“Who plays a slow song at the beginning of the party?” You said as Daichi loosely puts his hands around your waist and you do the same around his neck. The dance floor is cramped and you two pressed against each other.
Ah fuck it, you will think what it means for your friendship. For a night at least you just want to feel Daichi’s arms around you. After all for the past one week, your head has been filled with only one word: why but you are going to live in the moment for once.
You tilt your head to look up at Daichi, only to find him looking a little dazed with his eyes focused on the place where his hands meet your waist.
“What are you thinking about?” You wondered out loud.
“I was just thinking about you.” Daichi said, snapping out his daze but there was still a softness in his eyes.
“About me?”
“Ah, yeah. You make me feel so easy and relaxed but at the same time when I look at you or touch you in any way, I feel my heartbeat becoming irregular and breathing becomes hard.” He pulls you closer and slowly whispers, “Why do you do that?”
You scoff at him, for once deciding to not overthink and face Daichi head on, “You are the one to talk. Do you know how much has troubled me during the past week? Seeing you first thing in the morning made me so lightheaded and when you laid your head in my lap, telling me about your day? I thought I was going to die. Why do you do that?” Daichi smiled.
“Can I confess something?” Daichi said as he bends a little so that no one else can hear what he is saying. You hadn’t even remembered that there were people around. The entire world had fallen apart and only you and Daichi had remained.
“I lied about the reason behind fake dating. I thought that if I bought up this entire fake dating thing because I hoped that if I acted like your boyfriend you would see me in a new light. I think that it worked.” Daichi said as he placed a kiss at the end of your eyebrow. A loving gesture that made you want to cry out of relief. Dachi felt the same way. However, Daichi’s words about fake dating had reminded you of the business at hand.
“So, your mom knows about your and Asa’s break up?”
“Ah, yes, she knew about it as soon as it happened. She had told me that if I had confessed to you instead, then this wouldn’t have happened.” You laughed. This seems like something Daichi’s mother would have said to her heartbroken son.
“Well, she is right. I would have treated you better.” You said firmly and Daichi nods as he places his head on you gently and pulls you even closer.
“I know but I didn’t think that you liked me back.” He sighs, “Being with you feels so good.”
“What are you thinking about now?” You ask as you feel his warmth surround you.
“I was just thinking about you. I am always thinking about you.”

hello! do you have any yuri manga recommendations? im trying to read more of it but i get overwhelmed with how there are simultaneous so many and so few
Aaaah dude I hear you. I was voracious for a time and went dumpster diving into mangadex’s yuri tag and consumed the entire thing a while back and there are a lot of bad takes. a lot. I’m overwhelmed thinking about the mountain of trash i had to climb to stand here but i would absolutely love to share some works that stuck with me!!
Tumblr media
I think Kase-san and Morning Glories is a great place to start, and I consider it to be a hallmark gl series for a lot of reasons. It’s an easy way in-- the stakes are low, the drama is minor, both characters are charming and wholesome but not Class S Chaste. But there’s lots of gl manga that take place at a high school and are about two girls falling in love, so if you’ve already covered Kase-san, check out Hana ni Arashi or Hana to Hoshi. I will always make a case for A Tropical Fish Yearns for Snow, even though it gets flak for not being Yuri Enough or whatever because i think it is nice to look at and sweet to read
Bloom Into You is as fantastic as everyone says, and although I personally think it’s a better character piece than it is a romance, it’s still well worth the read. BiY is concerned with many lesbian experiences and really tries to showcase that. Not exclusively gl, but Shimanami Tasogare is a very nice read that addresses and looks at a number of LGBT experiences and features a lesbian couple as part of the main cast and should definitely be considered part of the queer canon.
Tumblr media
Speaking of the queer canon, please consider reading My Lesbian Experience with Loneliness, which is not a manga so much as it is a manifesto. There is no easy way to read My Lesbian Experience, every pass at it is affecting, and it hurts to read about hurt but if you’re reading gl work, i think it’s important to read this one real lesbian’s take alongside it.
Tumblr media
if I had a nickel for every gl that was about a girl getting into a relationship with a girl while already being in a relationship, i’d have a couple of nickels. which isn’t much, but it’s weird that it happens so often. please note that these feature cheating pretty prominently. Run Away With Me Girl is a soaring, magical manic middle finger to compulsory heterosexuality and the idea that marriage and children is for men and women only. Even Though We’re Adults plays out much the same way, except it is more about the Guilt of realizing you’re Gay but in a relationship with a Man. (Takako Shimura has a couple of gl works, so if this one doesn’t call out to you, try Sweet Blue Flowers, which is high school slow burn. Her work is often about messy people with messy emotions and can be divisive, but I admire her hauntingly sparse layouts and very human characters.) After Hours is a little different, a little more hip, a little more about girls who meet girls at clubs and then stumble into being DJs and then perform with their new gfs at a club after they break up with their bfs.
Lesbians who fuck up, so much! So Do You Wanna Go Out Or is a masterclass in disaster lesbians but it’s also really smart about how it presents sex-- frank and fun and kind of mortifying. Still Sick is a meta manga about messy lesbians who create doujin and manga.
Tumblr media
Some recommendations for gl that aren’t strictly manga: Her Shim Cheong, a historical Korean revenge thriller webcomic about the role class, religion, and tradition take in oppressing women and women who love women. Mage and Demon Queen is good self-aware genre schlock full of lamp-shading and is about what happens to all those little girls who grow up with crushes on Disney villans. Roadqueen: Eternal Roadtrip to Love is giddy manic goodtimes that almost borders on parody, but like, with a pure heart.
As a rule, yuri is a niche genre, so if you find a work you enjoy, try seeing if the author has done more because quite often they have. Morinaga Milk and Akiko Morishima are big names and have quite a few works, so definitely try something by them because odds are there’s something you’re going to like! Also, basically anything Sexy Akiba Detectives scanlates is good shit bc they’re good taste gang
There are more titles I’d recommend, but then it starts getting into the weeds of preference. Stuff like Cheerful Amnesia, My Wish is to Fall in Love Until You Die, Pieta, or Just Let Your Future Burn, which I like well enough but would have difficulty selling. There are dozens and dozens of high school romances as mentioned, so I could rattle off more of those, too, haha.
looking forward, we’ve got Otherside Picnic and Adachi and Shimamura getting anime adaptations soon, so consider checking those out!

Drinking Game~
Tumblr media
Summary: The gang decides to celebrate at Kuro's. Bakuto challenges the reader to a drinking game that soon involves everyone else in the gang.
A/n: Here is another Kuro x reader short. I came up with this one while on my way to a party. This is for my big sis @thevampiresblog . Hope y'all like it :)
~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~♡~
The team had just won their final match before Nationals and decided to celebrate at Kuro's house. Kuraseno, Nekoma and the Fukurodani teams sat in Kuro's living room with food and drinks surrounding them.
"How about we play a drinking game loser does whatever the winner says for a week," Bokuto yelled excitedly.
"I'm out," Kenma said, turning back to his game.
"I'm also out," Hinata, Kageyama and Lev said, taking a step back.
The first years didn't want to be apart of Bokuto's shenanigans and decided to take a step back and join Kenma and his game. Kuro smirked at Bokuto's challenge and set an area with the different drinks. You took a seat next to your boyfriend Kuro and across from Bokuto. Tanaka, Suga, Dachi, Yamamoto, Nishioya and Asahi surrounded you and waited for the game to begin.
"Alright, Y/n since you are the only girl here we will go easy on you," Bokuto said with a grin.
"I don't know if I should be offended or not," You said, looking up at Kuro.
He gave her his cocky smirk before bringing the cup up to meet his lips. You pouted as you saw the look he was giving you. Bokuto handed you a cup with more juice than alchol in it. You ended up just going along with the game but slowly added extra alchol to your drink when they were not looking. After twelve rounds of drinking the guys were out leaving you, the first years and Kenma to watch over them. You ended up having to lock all the doors and windows because Bokuto wanted to run around outside half naked.
"Bokuto put on your shirt," Akaashi said, chasing Bokuto around with his shirt in his hand.
"I knew this was going to happen," Kenma sighed turning his game off in order to help you with the guys.
"Hinata, Kageyama can you get the bankets from the hall closet and help me set the futons down," you asked, tying to clean up and move the furniture around.
Kenma helped you move the furniture out of the way while Lev cleared out the mess of cups and empty bottles. Kageyama and Hinata set the futons down with the blankets and pillows while Kenma brought out the bottle of asprin and water to set on the now clean table.
"WHY IS IT SO HOT," Tanaka yelled, trying to rip his shirt off.
"No Tanaka-sempai don't," Hinata said, tackling him to the ground.
Dachi and Suga happily cuddled each other in one corner of the set up futons while Nishinoya clinged to Asashi like his life depended on it. Yamamoto was passed out in the center his arms and legs spred out. Akaashi had finally managed to get Bokuto to leave his cloths on and get him to lie down and stay put. Hinata and Kageyama set up their area before lying down. Lev took the spot next to Hinata leaving Kenma to take a corner of the room to himself. You looked around to see you were missing one more person.
"Kuro love," you said, turning to Kuro to find him leaning against the wall.
"What are you doing," he asked, his face reddended from the alchol.
"Kuro love come you need to lie down. It's late come lie with me," you said, taking hold of his hand.
"You are not my girlfriend. I am a happily taken man. My girlfriend can take you," he said, proudly puffing his chest out.
"I know love I am your girlfriend after all," you chuckled, pulling him towards a set of futons.
"You are too pretty to be my girfriend. Don't touch me my girlfriend will find out," he pouted trying to pull away.
"Kuro, come lie down already," you said, pulling him back.
He ends up pulling away causing him to fall back on the futons and pull you on top of him. He moaned as his head collided with some of the pillows. You decided to grab the blanket and cover the both of you and pinned him down in order for him to stay put. After a while of struggling Kuro finally gave up and let you lie on top of him. You made sure to take picture of everyone before taking care of Kuro. The next morning you were woken up by yells.
"What happened last night? Why am I half naked? And why does Akaashi have my shirt," Bokuto yelled.
"Will you shut up," Kuro groaned from underneath you.
You gave up trying to go back to sleep and decided to roll off Kuro and sit up. You rubbed your tired eyes before crossing your legs and looking at Bokuto.
"Long story short you guys suck at drinking games," you yawned.
"Can you elaborate and explain why you slept on top of me the entire night," Kuro asked from next to you.
"Bokuto wanted to run outside fully naked leaving Akaashi to tackle him down and knock him out. Nishinoya and Asahi were cuddling, Suga and Dachi wouldn't separate from each other. Yamamoto knocked out after his last drink. Tanaka started stripping but Hinata managed to stop him in time. And you my love forgot I was your girlfriend and acted really shy about it," You explained giving Kuro a sleepy smirk.
"Oh, Well we are not doing that ever again," he said a soft blush apearing on his cheeks.
"I got pictures if you don't believe me," You yawned, scrolling thru your phone.
"Delete them," the guys yelled.
"Nope, now I am going back to sleep," You said standing up and grabbing one of the blankets.
"Kenma you wanna join me. We can play Animal crossing when we wake up," you yawned, looking at the sleepy pudding head.
Kenma nodded before grabbing his own blanket and following you up to Kuro's bedroom leaving the now fully awaken guys alone in the living room.
"Now we know never to challenge Y/N to a drinking match ever again," Bokuto said, before falling back on the futons.

Cunning and Ambition, or: At heart, Mu Siyang is still very much a Slytherin.
Between the manga and 2019’s live adaptations, I think Tezuka Kunimitsu’s character is one who changed the least. While Fuji Shuusuke has different vibes from Zhuo Zhi, Mu Siyang remains unmistakably Tezuka, albeit a softer, gentler, more human version of him. His stoic façade is the same. His tendency to assign laps is the same. His determination to take his team to the nationals is the same, which is why whenever I think of the Hogwarts House that would suit Tezuka, my instinctive answer will always be Slytherin. And even though Mu Siyang has a gentler attitude than Tezuka ever has, at his core, he is the same driven person who forged a team that hasn’t made it past the provincials in years into a team that can topple the reigning Hai Guang Kings from their throne.
But before we get to Slytherin, let’s discuss the reason why I didn’t put him in any of the other houses.
The first house I dismissed as a possibility for Mu Siyang is Ravenclaw. While it’s true that Mu Siyang is brilliant and clever, we never see him value learning and knowledge for its own sake the way a Ravenclaw would. In the manga, Tezuka is noted as being at the top of his year and student council president to boot, but in the 2019 live action, there is no notable trait or event that suggests that he is the Ravencclaw sort. He is brilliant, he is clever, but this doesn’t make him a Ravenclaw because we don’t see him value knowledge as a Ravenclaw does.
Tumblr media
The next house we’ll discuss is Hufflepuff. Now, there is absolutely no doubt that Mu Siyang is a very disciplined person, and a hard worker. He is also as kind and loyal as anyone else on the team, even though he’s not particularly outstanding for those traits. However, he is not particularly honest or fair. He lied like a champ about the condition of his arm to everyone involved. As for fair… his tendency to assign laps for… arbitrary reasons comes to mind. In fact, I think Tezuka might be fairer than Mu Siyang in this aspect, because if I remember correctly, while he does assign laps, he doesn’t really do so without solid reason (but I might be wrong). In short: He is a hard worker, he is disciplined, kind, and loyal, but he’s probably not a Hufflepuff.
Tumblr media
Pictured above, Mu Siyang punishing Huang Jing after playing an unofficial match, which he allowed to begin right in front of his own eyes.
The last house I considered and dismissed is Gryffindor. Now, this is not a particularly easy house to dismiss. Gryffindor has that reputation of being the house of heroes, leaders and protagonists, and Mu Siyang is very much the Big Good and the Leader of his team. However, just because someone is a leader, a protagonist, and brave, it does not mean they are a Gryffindor.
Let’s step back and look at what Gryffindors are. Gryffindors are known as the house of the brave, daring, and chivalrous. They also has a reputation for being reckless. And while Mu Siyang displayed these bravery, daring, and recklessness in spades during his match with Ji Jingwu… these bravery and daring isn’t about doing the right or honorable or chivalrous thing as it is with Gryffindors. It’s about something else.
Namely, his ambition to take his team to nationals victory. His team. Not himself, his team.
Tumblr media
Mu Siyang doesn’t display particular bravery and daring in any area other than tennis. He is brave, daring, and reckless only when it comes to tennis. Other than that? Not really. He’s not reckless in his personal life, nor is he particularly chivalrous. He is fairly just and ethical, but unlike Lu Xia and Zhuo Zhi, he doesn’t go around defending or saving people whom he has no responsibility for, through tennis or otherwise. There is only one thing in his mind: national victory, and he will do anything to accomplish it. His bravery and daring only comes out when it’s needed to further his ambition, which leads me to my final verdict for him: Slytherin.
Tumblr media
Slytherin is the house of the cunning and ambitious, but one should not forget that it is the house of leadership and determination as well. And if there is one thing that defines Tezuka Kunimitsu in all his incarnations, it’s his drive to lead his team to win the nationals. Mu Siyang, for all his softer edges, is no different. Remember, it was he who first came up with the goal to lead Yu Qing further in the nationals, not Dachi. It was he who encouraged his team to strive to win when the rest of the team are feeling down. Mu Siyang is the driver of his team, and everything he does can be traced back to his wish to have Yu Qing win the nationals. He doesn’t hesitate to put Lu Xia into the ranking matches, potentially kicking out one of the main players whom he has known for longer. He needles Zhuo Zhi and tries to find his buttons, from pointing out that he could’ve lost to Lu Xia, to appealing to his sense of teamwork. He risks his own arm and future in a match against Ji Jingwu with no regrets, because the match achieved exactly what he’d always meant it to achieve–to set an example and to inspire his team, specifically, Zhuo Zhi and Lu Xia.
Tumblr media
As for cunning, I’m going to bring up the fact that Mu Siyang is a savant in the dynamics of his team and always knows exactly what to say to get people to let him do what he wants to do. He has no problem lying for that, either. I mean, look at how he lies to the rest of his team about his arm injury. If that’s not enough, one only has to look at his ultimate technique: Absolute Area, which requires him to predict exactly how his opponent will hit the next ball to Siyang before Siyang himself even receives the ball. Without the cunning required to predict his opponent accurately, Mu Siyang would not be able to put the correct spin on his next ball, and therefore, he won’t be able to use Absolute Area.
Tumblr media
Lastly, Slytherins are known for their loyalty their own, and Mu Siyang is no different. No matter how his coach and his friends cajoled him, he has stated, plenty of times, that he will not leave Yu Qing when they needed him. He tells them that he will fight for them and with them. He is willing to risk himself for that. His loyalty to Yu Qing’s tennis team cannot be doubted for a single moment.
Tumblr media
Indeed, despite the gentleness and fairness that tempers his actions, Mu Siyang displays plenty of ambition, determination, and cunning. Like a true Slytherin, he is loyal to and looks after his own people. He’s also resourceful, capable of getting no less than four unrelated schools to train with Yu Qing in his absence. While he does display a lot of the qualities of the other houses, in the end, Mu Siyang stands for his unrelenting determination to chase his goals, and he will do exceptionally well in Slytherin.

Hello once again! It’s been two weeks since my last update, But I hope those still following this story continue to do so, and hope with all my heart that you still enjoy reading it.
I want to put out a generalized thank you to everyone who has messaged and commented in support of this story it really brought me to tears (happily) as I could tell people were looking at this as being the work of a fellow human and not just as a writing tool to be manipulated. I felt your kindness in my soul, and am truly grateful for your well wishes and support.
It’s hard for me to continually type out still so I will leave this note at that!
I hope you like this next installment. Enjoy!

Chapter 10: Day of the Tournament
“Very well then,” Kuroo announced happily as soon as the last straggler fighting in the event entered the main hall. “Futa will now explain the matches. Futa!”
The magician looked caught off guard, “Why do I have to..? Oh, hells. fine! Fine, whatever. Just make the servant do all the talking. Of course your royal chicken head!”
Laughing at the comment, the overall mood seemed to return to the happiness felt when the day first started.
“You’re pretty stiff. Something happen after I left?” Suga whispered to you from his place at your side.
Holding your hand, palm of your glove up for him to see, you rolled your thumb. A sign, meant to symbolize you’d discuss it later.
He nodded once, and your pair moved your attention back to the men of Camelot.
“So the first groups are still the most entertaining, I think.” Futakuchi laughed heartily, “On one side we’ll see the twins fighting one another, and the other fight will be between Teru and Satori.”
“Yes!” Satori exclaimed, jumping in his excitement.
Terushima laughed to himself, “Don’t get too excited, you will lose this time too.”
“Bet you training the new recruit duties that I win this time!” Satori happily challenged. He’d been hoping for a chance to challenge the other knight since losing the bet to kill the most enemies during the castle’s attack.
“Sure you can handle mucking out the stalls and training recruits all day?” Terushima teased, sticking his tongue out with confidence in his ability to win.
The pair kept commenting back and forth about who was truly the better knight. It made everyone in the room laugh, even some of the more quiet members of the knighthood like Aone who was smiling behind his fists.
“Guess we are fighting again Atsu.” Osamu looked to his brother after calming his own laughter.
The blonde twin looked him over, “Fighting again? You say that as if you’ve ever beat me in a battle.”
“Oh? Perhaps I should stop taking it easy on you if you have the confidence to say that.” His brother countered.
Atsumu threw his head back with joy at the challenge, “Oh Samu, you wish you could defeat me. But if it helps you to sleep at night to think you’ve taken it easy on me, then you can hold on to that dream.”
Yamagata and Iwaizumi looked at one another before doubling over in laughter, both knowing that Osamu was being honest in having always taken it easy on his brother.
Dachi and Asahi just smiled as they appreciated how the first fighters were already getting so invested in their fights, knowing everyone would feel pressure to do their best following the four.
“Yes, well. I did say they’d be the most entertaining, didn’t I?” Futakuchi recalled the attention of everyone in the room, ready to explain the rest of the tournament pairings. “The next two groups of fighters should also yield something interesting. We have Bokuto versus Aone on one side, and Asahi against our visitor, the Red Knight on the other.”
“You want me to fight our guest after having traveled non-stop the last two days?! Kuroo, I have no information of them, how do you expect this to go?!” Asahi exclaimed incredulously.
Suga laughed seeing your shoulders jump slightly a few times. But he smiled at his old friend and questioned, “Should you really be so afraid of a one-on-one battle when you are a big bad knight of Camelot, Azumane?”
“Oh! Suga, at least if I was fighting you I’d have prior knowledge of your old fighting style to consider.” Asahi threw back, still seemingly frightened at the idea of facing the unknown entity as he viewed you as.
“Well, maybe, had you arrived on time, or sent back word when you’d received the letter things would be different. But sadly, this is how it must be.” Kuroo teased, a grin on his face. He’d been nervous when the squire had referred to his knight by ‘Azumane’ and their apparent connection, but was calmed discovering his punishment still held by the knight not knowing the main guest’s fighting ability. “Please continue, Futa.” The King moved on, still grinning in a mischievous way that made the knights closest to him shiver in slight fear of what he could be thinking.
The magician looked between Asahi and Kuroo, noting the disbelieving shock on the knight’s face and how it contrasted the nearly evil grin of the King’s. “Right...uh,” He stammered before looking at the parchment to stall while he took a breath, “The third side-by-side match will be completed by Yamagata and Sugawara, while I face Semi. And, before anyone starts commenting, let me just get through the last pairings. Thanks!” He spoke almost directly to Bokuto and Semi, thinking one of the men may try to comment about not being in the star matches. “The last matches will be Iwa versus Daichi, and Ushijima against Kuroo.”
“Great!” Kuroo called, happily clapping his hands together and bringing all attention to his now standing form, “So, you all have your pairings for the first round! We have about an hour before we get started, so please get ready and meet out on the field soon! See you then!”
“Kuroo.” Ushijima called, stopping the King in his tracks, “Is Yuurei or Daishou attending?”
Kuroo laughed a bit embarrassingly as he looked anywhere but towards any of the others in the room before responding, “Well Daishou is still on his trip so he won’t join. And the Queen said she wasn’t feeling well last night…and told me she will stay in for the next few days. So, in terms of who is attending from the royals of Camelot, it’ll just be me.”
“Then!?” Yamagata nervously stood, hands slamming against the table as he looked to Futakuchi questionably.
“I don’t have a problem fighting with magic if those two aren’t attending. But I think that will be an unfair advantage against all you weak knights.” He laughed out in response.
Semi scowled, “Is this payback for talking back, Kuroo?”
The King shrugged before leaving the hall entirely.

With the King removed from the room, the tension from outside returned once more amongst many of those left inside.
“So, now that we can question you with your mouthpiece here…” Yamagata growled through clenched teeth.
Semi joined his friend’s change in attitude and directed his ire towards you and Suga, “Please, do explain exactly what is your true purpose in coming to Camelot.”
Though his words made it seem like a request, the knight’s tone and facial expression made clear that it was a demand.
“Whoa whoa whoa,” Bokuto called, hesitatingly standing with his hands outstretched before him, “What’s going on now? Weren’t we all just excited about the tournament? What happened?”
Your form going stiff told Suga that you'd said more than he would have after he left you alone with the knights in front of the castle. “I have to agree, I am a bit confused by this hostility.” He added to Bokuto’s questions.
“Right, like we should believe you have no clue what we mean.” Iwaizumi scoffed, sitting back further into his seat and crossing his arms over his chest.
Bowing your head, you did the only thing you could at the moment to both apologize to the men of Camelot and let your friend know you’d gone against his original plan.
Daichi clicked his tongue before giving a bit more information to Suga and those that had already gone inside before everything was said, “Ushijima asked the Red Knight some questions regarding your visit. When he asked if you were really only here to see if the Order and Camelot can be allied again, the Knight shook his head in the negative. He pressed further to see if there were negative intentions towards Camelot, and the Knight seemed adamant that there wasn’t, but it still bears the question. Exactly what else are you here for? And why keep it a secret? Do you plan to betray us?”
Suga’s eyes were glued to you, you could feel the pressure of his shocked expression through your helmet and closed your eyes reflexively.
But instead of yelling at you, or completely blowing your secret by removing your headpiece in retaliation, which you would have accepted as a fair punishment, your friend just sighed. Long and loud.
The sound echoed around the room long after he’d shut his mouth and only after the echo subsided did the silver-haired man posing as a squire of the order answer any of the asked or unasked questions.
“As all but Futakuchi now know, my cousin is in fact the Princess of the Red Knight Order.” Futakuchi’s gasp of surprise did not deter your friend from his explanation, “We have other goals than just the one presented to you all of seeing if the Order can realign itself with Camelot. One of which has to do with the Princess. But I cannot share details of that until we decide on the alliance or not. I hope this is acceptable for you but we can understand if you feel it unjust. There’s just nothing we can do about that fact right now.” He breathed deeply before closing his eyes tight in preparation for his next revelation.
You’d both known the knights would find out at some point, and perhaps it was better they learned outside the purview of the King, so you could get an opinion from Camelot’s populace before their royalty. So, you looked to Suga as his hands made fists under the table. Grabbing one with your own, you told him to share about yourself so he didn’t face the criticism alone.
“The other is to see how accepting or not the people, royals and therefore Kingdom of Camelot is accepting of the art of magic. Since, in the Order, everyone of us holds powers.”
The silence that followed his confession was deafening. Despite it being bright and sunny outside you thought you could hear crickets chirping around you.
“That’s it?” Osamu asked disbelievingly.
When Suga and you both nodded, both kind of confused at the question, everyone in the room laughed out in various degrees.
“We figured at least one of you had powers like Futa!” Terushima called excitedly.
“Really though,” Satori added, jabbing his friend with his elbow, “Since the first night when Futa said you knew he held magic we figured one if not both of you were magicians like him.”
Bokuto laughed the loudest before yelling out, “It makes total sense why I couldn’t just open your doors now! You were locking me out with magic!” After saying so he pouted, “That’s rude!”
Which sent everyone back into fits of laughter.
Suga and you looked to one another in pure confusion, even though the knights’ reaction wasn’t negative it was still very surprising.
“You said your goals weren’t against Camelot, and since these guys trust you, I had no reason to doubt that.” Ushijima tossed out as way of an explanation.
Aone shook his head, “Just like Futa, magicians don’t trust easily.”
“I guess I sort of remembered you having some magic from when we were kids, so I’m not too surprised either,” Asahi sheepishly said.
“Well, I guess that’s good enough for us to not doubt you again,” Yamagata laughed away as if he hadn’t brought the issue back up to begin with.
Semi shook his head, “Now I want you to approve us to see what this reason for the Princess is. If you take it so seriously about telling us you hold magic, can’t wait to see that ridiculous confession. Apologies for taking it so far asking about ulterior motives or such.”
The laughs on your and Suga’s behalf continued until he finally joined in with his own giggles of disbelief.
“Oh, is that why we felt more power during the attack?” Iwaizumi suddenly asked with a sense of seriousness.
Suga nodded before giving more detail, “The Red Knight used a spell to transfer strength from your enemies to you, so every time you’d hit them you’d get back the strength and energy you’d exerted.”
“That’s crazy!” Daichi exclaimed.
“Futa, why’d you never use such a spell in any of our fights?” Osamu asked teasingly, with a grin on his face.
The attendant just looked between everyone before letting his jaw drop in absolute shock. “I-I di-didn’t even know such a s-sp-spell ex-existed! Wait! So, you both have powers, not just you, Suga? How can I not see his?!”
Suga scratched at the back of his neck as you stood and indicated your armor.
“Oh, I see. Is that why you wear it then?” Atsumu asked, noting that you were saying the armor protected you from detection.
At your nodding, everyone just accepted the nonverbal reasoning.
“Well, I hope this clears up any confusion from the Red Knight’s inability to explain earlier.” Suga half asked of the men before him and half chastised your inability to think of your position yet again.
All the men in front of you either nodded or verbalized their acceptance.
“No!” Yamagata exclaimed out loud, launching himself from his seat and looking between Futakuchi and Suga, “You’re telling me I have to go against two magic wielders?!”
Many of the knights around him laughed at the man’s lack of tact and unfortunate line-up.
“That means I’m fighting one too?” Asahi shuddered at the thought, causing everyone in the room to laugh harder.
Suga smiled and nodded to you, reiterating that what he’d told Futakuchi about only using his magics against another holder would hold true even though the knights of Camelot now knew your secret. You nodded back, agreeing to the sentiment, but smiled along while the knights picked on their two friends who seemed to draw the short sticks in terms of first round opponents.
