Impressed with what I’ve heard of Tortured Poets so far getting as far as Florida which has a killer feature, Flo delivering what we’ve come to like over the years. What a mad musical week which began with the Tilian exit from DGD and ends with the Tay release that was always in the cards. Just like with Rep, it hits like a bomb. The monochrome artwork is as defining as Rep’s. Maybe this is a hint to Rep TV?

Plenty of backwards references to the extended discography especially to the call back to ‘New Romantics’…. ‘How could you leave me stranded and call it romantic?’ Been enjoyable so far.

Now spinning DGDs TCS and a part of me know relishes the fact that Tilian will never get a chance to ruin Elder Goose. Still think Andrew should be allowed a crack at the early material and maybe give us the Downtown Battle Mountain III we’ve craved for years. Why not? And the new Eidola record slaps too

Also the Star Wars trilogy soundtracks, the actual 1997 versions are incredible in particular The Empire Strikes Back. All those years of playing the battlefront and Jedi knight games made me love the music.
