John Doe

Gaslight - episode 1 immediately unprompted he lies to Arthur. Constantly avoids the question of who he is/where he came from/why he's here bc he has amnesia and doesn't actually know. He tried to conceal the fact that there's a corpse on the floor. He told Arthur that A) Arthur killed Parker (John did) and B) the door was open so he needs to move the body before someone walks past (it was closed). Gatekeep - he literally has control of Arthur's eyes and is slowly taking over the rest of him. Arthur cannot see, he has a seeing eye eldritch voice in his head. John also has control of the left arm up to the elbow and I don't exactly remember the situation but he definitely strangled Arthur at one point. He uses purple prose and long detailed descriptions even when they really need information like immediately. Girlboss - (technically he uses he/him but John probably hasn't thought much about his own gender. He's an eldritch mostly-disembodied voice and gender isn't the most pressing thing they've had to deal with) He obtained some semblance of a body, no memories, and immediately killed the nearest person. He came into this dimension no memories no clue what was happening but by god is he going to succeed at his goals (which quickly become his-and-Arthur's goals). Yeah 👍

And that, his voice, really does make you forget that you're near a giant fish that could devour you in a second.
