Her name is Lis (pronounced like Lee) and, while I don’t know if I plan to join Webkinz Next, I’ve already added her to my Classic family and I’m very excited to welcome her into my home 🧡

Absolutely infuriating that Etsy drove away service dog gear makers because they can’t prove that the gear is going to an actual service dog, but are absolutely fine hosting service dog-style vests and patches as long as they’re for ESAs.

#the only reason someone would need an ESA vest like that is to take them in public. Absolutely kills me how i have some clients who refuse to put their SDIT vests on their dog because they dont feel like their dog is well trained enough yet, despite being several obedience classes in and doing very well, and then i also have some clients who get an 8 month old 70lb doodle from the shelter with severe anxiety who releases said anxiety by jumping biting and barking at every dog and person they see and IMMEDIATELY put him in an emotional support animal vest

Let's get one thing clear: If you have a fake service dog that you are taking out in public with you, I despise you.

ESAs are NOT SERVICE DOGS. Psychiatric Service Dogs exist and they are NOT THE SAME THING. They do not have the same rights!

If you are not disabled (physically or mentally), YOU DO NOT HAVE A SERVICE DOG.

If your dog is not trained in tasks that specifically help with your disability, YOU DO NOT HAVE A SERVICE DOG.

Buying a bogus certificate online does not make your dog a service dog. If your bought one of these and you don't understand that they're fake (some people buy them just to shut people up), you have been scammed!

Just because you would like to bring your dog everywhere doesn't mean that you should. Please be respectful of people who have actual disabilities with actual service dogs and don't bring your pet to restricted places. This is not about gatekeeping, there are serious consequences to you bringing your pet places where it doesn't belong.

There’s a really concerning number of people that believe that their dog/cat understands and believes human rules and morals. No they do not.

Dogs do not need to accompany people everywhere and any dog you take to a public area should be required to wear a leash. I don’t care that you think your dog is harmless or safe, it is still a dog with instincts
