“He left us.” Nick mumbles, sounding more like a grumpy teenager that he may be meant to, shrinking down when Kenny shoots him a glance and strokes his hands down the front of his suit almost like Nick’s voice has made his hands dirty.

Kiss:

“You want me to give Cole this?” Matt asks, picking his words slowly as he stares at Kenny’s eyes through the dark plastic of his aviators. His fingertips itch with the desire to knock them off, to cradle Kenny’s face in the palm of his hand and kiss him until Matt tastes the familiar giggles of his old friend bubbling against the inside of his mouth.

Hold:

He traces his finger along the softness of the hankie before holding it back out for Kenny to take. Again, for just a few seconds, Nick's sure he sees the man that Matt is pining over again, the one that Nick misses more than he's willing to admit outloud to anyone more than the stars.

Oh yeah had a weird thing happen in BotW yesterday on my most recent replay. Coming south west off of Evantide there was a weird gust of wind to the right as I jumped off the cliff side then while crossing the ocean a meteor??? on fire skipped across the water beside me and glitched out. Didn’t catch a video of the fireball but I’ll see if I can post the rock floating on the water… it exploded when I tried to lift it w cryonis and I cant find any references to this happening to others…

Honestly if I didn't already have so many WIPs, I'd probably try to write something substantial for this idea combo. Just picture the group stepping out of a portal to the sounds of lapping waves and birdsong...

I got stuck my first time playing the eventide island quest in botw because I kept breaking all my weapons in failed attempts to use stasis to knock an orb into the pedestal just off the shore on the front of the island. I forgot I had the ice rune a lot during my first play of botw.

Agdjfkf this is so relatable I actually never used the runes I always forgot about them and it meant I'd get stuck all the time bc I genuinely didn't think of them. Except the ice rune I used that baby all the time to get across bodies of water

Using stasis on something you're not meant to and thus breaking all ur weapons is surely a universal experience tho

Fxtrt II: Ming’s Gear

Some people would label Ming as a gear snob, I like to call it: a gear connoisseur. He changes guitars often, almost as often as one would change their socks. And he only gets the good stuff- Ming is always on the net for reviews and on the prowl for good deals on Carousell. He has his fair share of trying and testing gear, he has previously owned thirteen guitars, and the struggle to find the one is an expensive journey involving trades, lowballs and negotiations. Once I asked him for recommendations for a drive pedal and everything he recommended me costs an arm, leg or both. Now he only settles for Suhr guitars, in which he possesses two. The action is fairly low and the neck plays like butter.

Pedal-wise, Ming’s main drive tone comes from the SickAs Drive which is also has been on his pedalboard for the longest time (the blue pedal in Fig. 5). He has since gotten rid of the Flint Strymon you see in the picture, as he hitherto primarily uses an Evantide H9 to for all his reverb-delay-harmoniser needs. The blue pedal conveniently blocked by his knee is the Walrus Audio Deep Six compressor which is only used when he taps. The PettyJohn pedal is never used and is only there to add deadweight to his already-heavy pedal board.

Building the Dream: Part 5. Well, the last pieces to the puzzle are coming together. First and foremost, I finally received my custom made input/output jacks from BTPA. I have 2 sets that I mounted to each side of the board. Now I no longer mess with trying to fit my cables into the tiny space between the boss ES5 and the pedals. Most importantly, say it with me, it’s clean. I will say that locking connections are a pain in the ass and 99% not worth it, but oh well.

Next I decided to replace my delay pedal with an Evantide H9 I got for a good deal on Craigslist. I’m using it for delay, but I’m going to have to do an entire post on it, as it’s a pretty insane multi FX pedal. Maybe when I get really crazy and start using MIDI…again, only the nerdiest will know wtf that is.

So now my board is almost complete, the dream nearly built. Stay tuned for the dramatic conclusion…
