I know everyone is hyped for BotW2: Tears of the Kingdom, especially after tonight's Nintendo Direct (and I am too! >U> Very much so!), but you know what caught me off guard? That they also announced a sequel to Fantasy Life. o_o I have so, so many fond memories of the first game, spending hours upon hours playing on my 3DS, mostly on my own, but sometimes also together with my brother. I loved the cute graphics and the characters (especially Pino, Daemon/Damien and Oden/Odin) and ahhhh! The announcement of a true sequel gave me so many feels. I immediately had to go and look through my files to find the old (and by old I mean positively ancient) fanarts I painted, back in the day.

The “Artist” will appear as a new life class in FANTASY LIFE i: The Girl Who Steals Time, LEVEL-5 announced at its Tokyo Game Show 2023 stage event.

Artists can paint pictures and display them in their home.

New gameplay was also showcased, including cooking, combat, fishing, and housing.

When cooking, you must follow the actions that appear at the top of the screen. Once the completion gauge is filled, the cooking is complete.

A new evasive maneuver has been added to combat, which can be triggered with the B button.

When fishing, you must skillfully pull and reel in your catch without breaking the line.

The housing system allows you to build your home and freely arrange the interior, as well as display artwork created by artists.

Town planning allows you to build the town to your liking.

Stupid things I want to see in FLi that probably won't be in it:

An Affinity Chart: After playing Xenoblade Chronicles I came to the conclusion that every game needs an affinity chart. If I don't get a complex, ever-spiraling web of the people I talked to and their relationships that can change over progress of quests then I will riot.

More dialogue: All of it. Give me all the dialogue. Let me talk to a companion and they just have a lot to say. Go to the desert with someone not from there and they say it's hot. While we're at it let us talk to people in our party.

Weapon/animation variety: More weapons that fit a class. Instead of just staves for magic why not also have rings or tomes? Different sword swings for different swords, there's a huge difference between a scimitar and a rapier. Honestly I just love when games have a lot of varied animations.

Add dating you cowards: If You've ever played Rune Factory, that. Just that. Put that directly into Fantasy Life so I can romance everybody at once.
