The second you walk into your bedroom, Minho's hands are on your waist, holding you with your back against the door.

"Hey," he says, voice dropping lower. It doesn't help your dilemma at all. "You okay?"

"Yeah, I'm okay. Why?"

"I don't know. You've been kinda quiet since earlier. Were the boys too much?"

It was yours and Minho's turn to host game this week. All of his friends came over and wherever that group goes, anarchy follows. They were beyond chaotic, but it wasn't anything you couldn't handle. At the end of the day, those goofballs are still some of the most lovable people you've ever met.

"No," you say, "everyone was fine."

"Then what's wrong?"

"Nothing's wrong, I promise." It's cute that he seems genuinely concerned about this, that he thinks something must've happened to upset you in some way when it couldn't be further from the truth. You lean forward to press a quick kiss against his cheek, before you shrug, asking him, "Do you remember when Hyunjin kept interrupting you and you yelled at him to shut up so you could speak?"

"Yeah?"

"I thought it was hot."

Minho takes a moment to stare at you, and you watch in real time as the worry in his eyes slowly dissipates to make room for something else as the realization dawns on him. Twinkling amusement.

Then he chuckles, shoulders slightly sagging with relief, before he pulls you closer to his body, shortening the gap between your face and his before he lets his lips brush against yours. Not quite capturing your mouth with his. Just a ghost of a kiss.

"Is that why you were so quiet?" he mumbles against you. "You got turned on?"

"Hmm."

"Silly. Got me all worked up over nothing." Another chuckle, and suddenly he's bypassing your lips, much to your disappointment. Minho moves to kiss your cheek, then along your jawline before he starts trailing down your neck. "You liked my voice that much?"

"I always like your voice. You know that."

"Then what's different?" he asks, pressing his mouth against that spot that he knows you love. It makes your breath hitch instantly. "You liked that I was mean to Hyunjin? Want me to yell at you like that?"

You laugh lightly, baring your neck for him to mark. "I don't know. It just felt like you were... authoritative. It was hot."

"Yeah? You were thinking about it while everyone was there? You were thinking about me?"

You could tell that your admission strokes his ego, judging by the way his hands slowly drift southward to grab your ass, holding your hips flushed against his.

"I thought about a lot of things."

"What else?"

"Thought about what it'd be like if you were more like that with me," you say, but then you feel a stupid need to clarify what you really mean. "In bed."

Minho detaches his lips from you in an instant, though his hands are still on your body. He looks down at you with darkened eyes and mischief swimming in those beautiful irises. His gaze flickers briefly to your lips before he asks, "Do you want me to?"

For some reason, you feel a hint of shyness prickling at the edges. You asked for this, quite literally just now, but maybe it's the way that he's looking at you that's making you a tad nervous, like he's a predator and you're his prey.

"Yes," you confirm after a minute. "I want you to."

As soon as the words leave your mouth, he takes a step back from you. The switch up is crazy, and coupled with the way his tone turns sultry in a blink of an eye, it's enough to make your head spin.

"Get on the bed," he tells you, palpable temptation dripping off every syllable.

"Minho..."

"On the bed. Don't make me say it again."

also just makes me think of an OC in the Head Heart Hand 'verse who's a French friend of the L/N Siblings. By which I mean, they're friends with benefits and they still have that chemistry which makes Fi jealous.

Jamie had been working as the assistant to a renowned stylist when he'd first met the siblings, at least that's what you all tell Felix when he shows up at Oxford a week and a half before a gala event you and Oliver had been complaining about for a week already. Now his old boss simply works with your parents, and Jamie works with the two of you. Jamie is beautiful and well dressed and you and Oliver interact with him in a way that makes Felix feel a spike of jealousy whether he sees the casually affectionate way you all touch each other.

He's perfectly polite and incredibly warm to Felix, even affectionate at times - what beauty you've found, my loves, is the first thing he'd ever actually said when you introduced Felix to him - but occasionally his voice drops low and teasing as he says something to either you or Oliver that makes Felix wish he understood less French. Because he really didn't need to know just how unprofessional your relationship really was.

Christ some of the things he'd overheard were absolutely fucking filthy. Its also incredibly hot, yes, but that just makes him more conflicted.

"Is something wrong, lovely Felix?" Jamie's voice is quiet but vaguely distracted as he's taking Felix's measurements. Felix was going to be attending the gala with you and Oliver; it'd be the first of many, and Jamie was more than happy to pull together a look for him too at your request. He's got a cigarette poised between his lips, but Felix is looking at the roof, because if he looks at Jamie he's going to think about all he'd been overhearing in the past few days. You all think he doesn't understand, clearly.

"No problem," Felix lies and hopes it's convincing. Like he's not thinking about how the gentle hands sizing him up have pressed you up against the walls of countless dressing rooms, or been wrapped around Oliver so many times that he'd apparently lost count, "no problem whatsoever." If he bites any harder on the stem of the lollypop in his mouth he's pretty sure it's going to break.

Jamie hums non-committally, but Felix knows he doesn't believe him. Still, the next thing he asks is if Felix had any specific clothing textures that bothered him - like the darling siblings do, he clarified - and Felix thinks for a long moment. He doesn't think so, at least none he's adverse to, but -

"No no," Jamie cuts him off, "you will feel luxurious in my clothes," he assures, leaving no room for argument, like it's an order, "you will trust me. But you're saying there's nothing I could put you in that would make you want to rip it off your skin immediately because it would feel bad?" Felix shakes his head, mouth pressed to a thin line. Jamie fixes him with a coy smile, petting his cheek, "you make me feel lucky, lovely Felix; you make a beautiful muse." The genuine compliments make him feel worse for the blatant jealousy.

So maybe Felix makes a point of sticking close to you and Oliver more than was strictly necessary, at the pubs each night and the club when you all finally head to London on the weekend of the event.

"Jealous boy, look at him," he hears Jamie mumble in French as you've all occupied a roomy bathroom stall to do a few lines of coke. Felix's got you in his lap, lips against your shoulder while Jamie's leaning against the wall with that beautiful fucking smirk. You and Oliver both giggle, and you turn and press a kiss to Felix's temple while your brother takes the mirror and rolled up bill from your hands.

"You're making him jealous on purpose," you respond in kind. Jamie's gaze on you is close enough to leering that Felix can't help but start pressing soft kisses along your shoulder and neck.

"Can either of you blame me?" But Jamie still looks away, grin widening as you turn properly to meet Felix in a messy, passionate kiss, "obsessive little lovers you both are, always have been," he accepts the mirror from a grinning Oliver when it's offered, "maybe I should be jealous of lovely Felix."

"Maybe you should be," Felix breaks the kiss, turning to Jamie with a challenging look in his eyes as you mutter a flustered 'ohmygod' and Oliver gives an embarrassed giggle. All three of you come to realise that Felix has been fully aware of everything you've been saying since Jamie had arrived.

Jamie himself just smiles wider, meeting Felix's challenging gaze almost like he's proud.

(also Jamie falls for Farleigh pretty much the minute he sees him btw. Like Oliver fell for Felix in the film, Jamie sees Farleigh and is immediately enraptured. He asks him if he's done any modelling as the first thing he says after his name (and is delighted when Farleigh admits that he has, back in the states). Farleigh is at first bewildered by the attention - he's pretty and self aware but this is the kind of attention Felix usually got, it feels strange receiving it, rather than observing it - but quickly finds himself enjoying the attention. But also there's something very beautiful about Farleigh and Jamie together, they probably have a little fanclub of their own. They buy each other drinks at the pub like it's a competition half the time, but they end up side by side on the leather booth by the table, definitely too close (in much the same way that you, Felix, and Oliver often were, even surrounded by the rest of your friend group) tipsy and flirting in French while half their friends just kind of admire them.)

what mbti do you think eric harris is? Dylan is obviously infp, but eric and his weird ass complicated personality makes it hard to label him an mbti.

some say intj or isfp but I don't really agree... if you guys think he is either one of those, try to disprove me in the comment. Well some people type him as an intj because he "planned" things, a "mastermind" , however i think pretty much anyone can go out of their ways to plan something that they have been motivated by a personal ideology or for the means of revenge that would take years for it to work. Btw the plan was messed up in many ways, it wasn't consistent either, they just came up with the plan and went along with it and used the sketch as a back up to make their plans to succeed. They did put great effort into it, well they knew they were going to die anyways so why not just give it all and get the most of the experience. They went out of their ways to feel "godlike" and unstoppable. And for the isfp part, people call him a feeler type because of his "individualism" for wanting to look and act different, but its much more complex than that. Eric was described as preppy by his peers in the beginning of highschool, but as life progressed and got harder for him, he might've just listened to harder music and dressed more differently, and creating wads, just as a form of escapism. We all have at least one form of escapism, despite being a Fe user instead of Fi. And people say eric is "emotional", but I'd disagree. People just take a look at his journal and his emotional instability but I feel like it had to do more with his personality disorders, and BPD could be a possibility. When stating about his opinions and all in his journal, we have an inner look of his thought process, but probably not his actual values since it was a bit obvious that he wanted to put on a show to look tough and not show his vulnerable side. The journal isn't even his actual personal writings, it is just to display his philosophies and his ideologies that he wanted to show to people. And all those unnecessary mean/sexual things he said about people was more for a shock value. Not saying he did not feel hate towards people, he very much did, he openly stated he hated people and everything he does including the massacre he carried up with, just screams misanthropy. And even on the basement tape, eric stated the journal is to be released and he basically made it like a "bible" to be released and wanted to have cult-like followers. There isn't just any much of a sentiment/feeling type of writing in his journal, his discussions aren't primarily based on that, more than just telling his audience about his observations and why he thinks about it that way while talking in such harsh tone. He doesn't really talk about his feelings either, maybe only in some bits of writing or its very subtle. I'd say he is private about his feelings but he is more open about his thinking. Just to clarify that just because a person shows any type emotion, doesn't automatically means that they are a feeling type. We all have emotions and feelings and situations can impact that.

I don't got any much more to say, since he's a dead person, we barely know about him rather than his ex friends talking about how he was like in school, but I wouldn't find that an accurate source of how he was ACTUALLY like as a person. Hopefully someday, they will actually release both the basement and the nixon tapes.

ドッチ・ジャーニー・ショウ！ Which Way the Book Turns!

This is a pun-laden name from Dudi again. It can be romanized literally as "Which Journey Shall/Shows!", but it is also a play on 書 (sho), which can sometimes be used to refer to a book - like the one Dudi is reading in the card art.

I just tried my best here; I'm sure there's a punnier name that makes me go "oh my god why didn't I think of that" once YGOrg puts their article out.

お前の中でこれがしの自我を保つのは難し��うだ "Your body is unable to sustain my ego."

Clarifying here that Kuaidul means this in the sense that if he merges with Yuudias, something disastrous will occur... to Yuudias. He is willingly undoing the fusion, or reversing it, so that it doesn't harm him.

He is "letting go" of Yuudias of his own volition.

種の寿命が尽きようとしている "Our species is approaching the limit of our lifespans."

More accurately, Kuaidul is trying to say "our species is going to exhaust our lifespan", as in "use up" or "run out", but I couldn't think of a way to word this that had the same finality as limit.

It is very much with a finality that Kuaidul says this. Interpret as you wish.

Some other easter eggs

In order for Shewbahha's card to activate, Yuudias had to send Leviaknight (Phaser's card) to the grave - kinda like giving Shewbahha something to eat!

Nyandestar's Cat Claw Girl is the last obstacle that everyone must overcome, which is fitting considering she was the first ever card created by Kuaidul

Similarly, the last people to give Yuudias the ATK boost he needs are some of the first people he ever met upon arriving on Earth... Yuamu and Yuuhi!

Dudi Nishaw, though he's part of the Dudi Ducasse, is in fact a Velgearian... due to how he's supposed to be one of the three "factions" fighting in the Velgear Star Cluster. You can sort of think of the term "Velgearian" as both a species identifier and a nationality. Dudi is a "Velgearian" species-wise, but he is Dudi Ducasse in terms of nationality. Hope that makes sense!

The "Andromeda-Milky Way collision" is a real thing that is projected to happen... in the next 4.5 billion years. According to Wikipedia, it's actually not going to cause much damage to either galaxy or the stars within it at all, due to how far apart each individual star is. In fact, by the time this happens, all life on Earth would've been wiped out about 3 billion years ago anyway due to the Sun's growing instability

In Mahayana Buddhism, which Japanese Buddhism is derived from, a "bodhisattva" is someone with "a spontaneous wish and compassionate mind to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of all" - does it sound familiar? It's Yuudias offering his body to Kuaidul even despite all of the wrongs he has committed.

I guess we now know why the ED is titled "Song of Departure"

Go Rush will be taking a break on New Years weekend and will not air an episode then! The next episode will be on January 7th.

As well, the entameSubs team will be on vacation for the next two weeks. I will be in Japan! That means episode 91 will be massively delayed until I get back.

I cannot begin to tell you how excited I am for Go Rush season 3, now that we know that's a thing that's happening! It has always been something I wanted because I adore this show to bits... but I was so convinced we would be moving onto the next series already.

But here we are! The voice actor of Yuudias, Arthur, said that this third year was only possible "with [the fan's] support" - so it's wonderful and heartwarming to know Go Rush is very well received.

Merry Christmas, if you celebrate! Happy Holidays otherwise!

This is one of my favorite episodes of all of Yu-Gi-Oh! as a whole. I have not cried at a finale or even any episode like this since ZEXAL aired Nasch vs Yuuma ten years ago.

I leave you with a quote from one of my favorite games that applies word-for-word to this episode. Just replace "Ardbert" with "Yuudias".

Yuudias chose love, and Kuaidul was undone.

The Women in Refrigerators

I've been reading a fantasy that's not a romance by an author I didn't know for decades (for whom I make exceptions), and it's the Tuyo series I recently talked about considering. I was thinking further about books I used to read before my romance fixation began, many more of which had been written by male authors, and the issues that led me-- again and again-- to quit those books in disgust. These are books I really enjoyed-- I considered them well-written, fun, engaging. I'm still a fan of Jim Butcher and Robert Jackson Bennett and haven't written them off entirely in my mind. I plan to come back to them, but. But. The trust has been broken, with these and other male fantasy and sci-fi authors, more than once. More than twice. Many times.

Thinking about how they broke my trust-- Bennett and Butcher specifically, but also others-- I realize what they have in common is the use of fridging, or the Women in Refrigerators trope.

If you read the book(s) in question, it's not like it stands out so horribly-- I mean, there's a plot reason for what happens to kill the female love interest. (Though in one egregious case I remember, the female main character dies after she actually has a baby, with the man who becomes the male main character after her death). It's not like I can't see why the woman 'has to die'. And yet-- mysteriously-- the male best friend almost never dies. The male love interest almost never dies in a non-romantic fantasy/sci-fi that nevertheless has a love interest, written by a female author. It's always that the men feel the need to do this. It just never clarified itself to me that this is what led me to quit reading and retreat to fanfic and/or romance, again and again.

In the case of Jim Butcher, this is an author I had trusted for decades (since the Dresden books are an old series). He has killed a love interest before, but she wasn't a major character, so it wasn't so bad. It's okay to kill minor love interests-- to be clear, plenty of female authors, even female authors writing fantasy romance do this. By 'minor', I mean they aren't super integral to the series, the books don't set them up at any great length, and they're 'just' a love interest.

For example, Sarah J Maas really loves killing off early male love interests in all her fantasy book series-- like clockwork. Same with Kim Harrison. The thing is, though, these early lost love interests-- while painful-- are nevertheless very clearly not that important overall. I don't even know how to explain this properly-- but there's a way to kill off love interests that doesn't feel gross. I don't know if I'd call it 'respectful'. Maybe? The Kim Harrison Hollows books have Rachel's vampire boyfriend, Kisten, die early on. It's a big character impact moment for Rachel, just as Dresden's girlfriends die and have an impact on Harry Dresden. But not so much of an impact on him. Or perhaps it's just a more self-centered kind of impact, possibly.

I don't want to tempt fate, but I'm reasonably certain female authors in general, and Maas or Harrison in particular, wouldn't kill off one half of an 'endgame' pairing. They'd face a reader rebellion, of course. But it's not even that.

I think it's the way these women die, and how they die no matter how important they are. No matter what, the feeling becomes, a woman is just not that important. Not even if she's the main character (though that's going a little far, to be fair).

It's not that I'm saying endgame pairings should have to be sacred or untouchable. It's more subtle than that, although maybe I'd even argue that. If you've spent book after book setting up a character arc and a relationship and built many arcs on top of it, to just discard it is disrespectful both to your characters and your readers, who've been there every step of the way. I guess it's just this sudden realization that they're 'just' characters, and on top of that, 'just' a love interest, and even, possibly, 'just' a female character. That last part is almost certainly uncharitably harsh-- it's just impossible to avoid the feeling.

The thing I like about series about a single character-- the thing I look for entirely outside any interest in romantic pairings-- is just this feeling of being with characters in other worlds that I know well, that I'm enjoying spending time with. They're my friends, almost. I'm 'friends' with Harry Dresden, in a sense, moreso than a 'fan'. And this is the context in which things happen. It's not that I take things personally, but rather that I want things to resolve in a way that's satisfying and comfortable, even if death is involved. With the death of Kisten in the Hollows series, that comfort is about the main character's memory of Kisten, the way he's framed and understood and contextualized later on. Just like in real life, death exists as part of the tapestry of life, and sometimes it's sudden, shocking and raw. But in stories I enjoy, it is... appropriate.

It's a hard thing to explain, except that I know when there's a lack of that respect, that sense of appropriateness. And I know this happens with some regularity with male authors writing about women. How very cliche.

Episode 24: The Sigh of Haruhi Suzumiya, Part 5

Been dreading this one because I really liked the confrontation at the end of Part 4 and some individual scenes have been neat but for the most part this arc has been extremely gross.

Also, had to change the shady piracy website that I'm taking my screenshots from. We're watching the show on Crunchyroll but we have to do "Someone in the extended family has a subscription and we all share" shenanigans for all of our streaming services so nobody knows who had the Crunchyroll password and I can't get it on my computer.

Yuki has a cat now. I wonder if she'll get to keep it. I would love to see Yuki transition from stoic robot with no furnishings to stoic robot who is a cat person now.

Her apartment filled with just that one kotatsu and also a scratching post, cat tree, cat tunnel, and food dishes.

Sitting at the kotatsu with a book open on the table, reading with a cat in her lap. Petting its head mechanically; The same exact motion on repeat like a metronome. "Kitty," she says aloud in her emotionless monotone.

In any case, we got through this shooting session without more Mikuru grossness so I'm hoping Haruhi learned something from yesterday's meltdown and reconciliation. I mean, this is still happening:

But that's still gonna happen. Haruhi gonna Haruhi.

I just. Would really like to see character growth come out of this gross arc.

Shamisen is amazingly verbose and capable of a complex understanding of language.

I want to keep him. I desperately want to keep him. Can we keep him? Please tell me we get to keep him.

I will trade this character for him.

Aww, we're sending Shamisen with Kyon. That's a shame. I was all set for Cat Ladybot Yuki.

At this point, the only reason I feel confident that those guys aren't another Haruhi Thing (TM) is because that's not her genre. XD

Part of me thinks it's for the best that Haruhi doesn't read medieval fantasy and didn't make a world with dragons and shit. But then I remember that she did make a world with reality-bending data aliens. Being as sci-fi nerd isn't any better than a fantasy nerd in this regard.

Who's up for a religious schism!?

Mikuru offers a conflicting interpretation of Haruhi to what Itsuki's been saying. Itsuki believes that, in the event three years ago, Haruhi created the universe. That, essentially, all things in existence are only three years old. There is no past beyond that point, which meshes with something Mikuru told us early on.

It's impossible to travel back in time beyond three years from today, for reasons unknown. This would make sense if there is no past, as Itsuki speculated.

If the universe sprang into existence fully formed from the timequake three years ago then it would be impossible to travel beyond the timequake.

The computer bug came to our time from a parallel reality 208 million years ago, according to Yuki. In order for that to be true, there must have existed a period of time 208 million years ago.

This doesn't disprove Haruhi creating the universe in the timequake. She could have created time retroactively. But it does mean that the nonexistence of time beyond the timequake cannot be used as evidence to prove that Haruhi created the universe, because time does exist beyond the timequake. Mikuru's organization can't reach it, but the Data Integration Thought Entity's awareness can.

Which, itself, makes sense since it's already been established that the aliens have a better grasp of time than the time travelers do. In any case, it seems likely that the world existed before three years ago.

As Yuki clarifies, Mikuru instead believes that the world was always like this but Haruhi has the ability to discover strange and mysterious things. There were always aliens, but Haruhi's abilities simply drew them in, basically.

I don't think that's correct either. Kyon brings up that all of the espers spontaneously developed their abilities and awareness of Haruhi during The Event Three Years Ago, which is fairly significant proof that the world was altered. Yuki's counterpoint... sucks?

"Maybe he lied."

I mean, sure, but if we go down that rabbit hole then maybe Haruhi has no powers and Yuki's just been using her alien magic to fake all of it this whole time. Anyone can be lying about anything, Yuki. That's a bad argument.

Obviously something happened three years ago because all three of them agree on that. Yuki, Mikuru, and Itsuki have all independently testified that some fucking shit went down three years ago that brought them all here.

I've already made my argument against Itsuki's interpretation. A decisive argument against "The world was always like this" is Mikuru herself. You could say that the extradimensional bug always existed, and Haruhi's logo simply drew it to her. You could say that the Celestials are a natural phenomenon that are simply being stirred up by Haruhi's emotions. You could say that Shamisen is actually a talking cat because of reasons, that simply crossed Haruhi's path.

But Mikuru Beam is pretty hard to equivocate. Haruhi gave Mikuru the ability to shoot a photon laser out of her eye, which she did not previously possess. (The time loop also comes to mind.) So. No, Mikuru. The world was not always like this. Haruhi is doing shit.

The most plausible explanation is the alternative one that Itsuki first introduced. The one where Haruhi did not create the world but did remake it. Her power simply erupted one day and expanded across the universe like Devil Homura's Labyrinth.

I get the point they're making here about the complexity of belief. Like a proper religion, at the end of the day, it is difficult to draw any factual conclusions about the true esoteric nature of Haruhi Suzumiya. But I think, if you look deep enough, there are sufficient pieces to draw suppositional conclusions, at least - but those may vary from person to person.

We'll never truly know.

Okay, I'm loving the idea of Mikuru and Itsuki's factions being hostile to one another and the inter-group drama that such an idea would create. Especially since we all have to play Nice Happy Club Friends in front of Haruhi.

Religious schism and political intrigue in my slice-of-life show about goldfish scooping with the local cosmic horror? Yes please.

But I feel a little uncomfortable with the idea that *gestures at Mikuru* ALL OF THAT was stuff Mikuru went along with because she's trying to honeypot Kyon.

It feels like they're trying super hard to salvage what they've done with Mikuru and are instead making it worse.

That said, what I do like is that we didn't have any more gross Haruhi Molests Mikuru jokes in this whole episode. Itsuki's mad at Kyon for not fixing the "Haruhi's movie is warping reality" problem but I'm satisfied that Kyon and Haruhi's meltdown did result in changed behavior, at least for now.

She's still an asshole.

But at least she's backed off of the sexual harassment that these episodes had dialed up so high. So that's something.

Oh hey we're FINALLY having the lunch conversation that was promised all the way back in episode 6. Kyon's finally going to break the rules and leak everything to Haruhi.

And just like Yuki promised: Haruhi doesn't fucking care what you think, Kyon. In fact, she thinks you're making fun of her. Good job.

Heyo! I finally have had the chance to sit down for readings, so here's yours! Because of how difficult it can be for me to parse what is from who, I specifically had them do this in sections- asking them both the questions individually. I was super excited for this one! Existing is morally neutral; you aren't doing anything wrong by taking up space and breathing air. I'm not vain, I am beautiful- and so are you. No matter how you feel. Don't judge yourself too harshly."

Ace of Swords reversed: Confusion, Headcase, Disarray. To me this looks like it's primarily a card of mental chaos bordering on losing a sense of reality- and looking for an outside opinion to clarify what is accurate and what is just anxiety going haywire. The choice is ultimately yours to clear your head, of course, but it looks like- since you really ARE getting an outside opinion by requesting a reading- you're on the right track. "Do you really think you can offend the goddess of beauty and love? It is in my essence to be beautiful and loving. I am not so fragile in my beauty as to lash out at humans for embracing their own beauty. It's not in my nature to lash out at all, for any reason; love is all-encompassing, unconditional. This could, if my intuition is correct in singling out a specfic meaning rather than the overall meaning of this card, be a matter of quality over quantity. "Time spent together is time well spent." Maybe rather than worrying when your deities are less active, use that time to rest or work on other areas of your life; not only that, but spend the time you have with them well and quantity won't be an issue.

Seven of Swords: Deception, Discreet, Secrets. This card feels like it's talking less about someone else in your life, and more about you. It doesn't feel like a warning AGAINST deception though; instead it feels like a gentle reminder to protect yourself and your secrets. Don't trust the wrong people. (I confirmed this with the cards so I knew for sure.) "Does someone who could do you harm really deserve to see the parts of you that they could take advantage of? No. Every part of you is worth loving, but not everyone in life will see that; restrict their access to the vulnerable parts of you. There's no use playing pigeon chess,* and there's no use revealing yourself to people who won't care." (*this is a phrase that basically says there's no use arguing/debating with people who don't care in the first place/"stupid people" because "The pigeon will shit on the board and walk all over it like it won." They won't play by the rules of your game, so don't engage at all.)

Apollo:

"What do you have to say to them?"

Justice reversed: Injustice, Unfair, Delinquency. Things are just NOT fair right now, and maybe you're looking for a scapegoat. Instead, be honest with yourself and take responsibility for any possible role you are playing. (note that I am NOT victim-blaming here. This is one possible interpretation for this card.) The situation at hand is likely very black-and-white, so get to the root of it- it's not as complicated as it may seem. If you've truly done your best to right the situation, file it under "lessons learned" and move on. "This isn't an impossible puzzle, kid- it's okay. Take a deep breath, you're not losing your mind, just look and actually SEE and it'll be alright. You're almost there."

Six of Wands: Victory, Validation, Acknowledgement. You've persevered through a lot, and now- or soon- you'll get the recognition that you fuckin' deserve! Apollo's giving off a lot of hype I won't lie. There's rewards coming your way, and you absolutely should take a look back and appreciate your progress yourself. Look at how far you've come!! Pay attention to that- you're not the same person you once were, you're blossoming into a new one and that's okay. All I'm getting from Apollo is "holy shit you've done it :D Look at you :D" so…. In this reading this card is giving off major major high-energy vibes, Apollo thinks you definitely have what it takes to pursue your dreams and keep fuckin' going! The Hermit: Soul-Searching, Reflection, Truth. Explore yourself with the same curiosity that the last card implied you explore the world with. Pay attention to your inner world, yourself, and your core values; learn about yourself so you can truly know all aspects of yourself. What would be your favorite queer horror media?

Oh Boy So i think this question is just asking what type of media i enjoy and to answer that I will say Movies, though i'll admit it is hard for me to sit down and consume any kind of media, i have to be in a right mindset for it.

HOWEVER since we are here, I also think its asking what my FAVORITE thing is, and honestly I want to answer this one with a huge wonderful list of amazing things for you to consume, i feel like there could be and should be so much more, which..i guess with Mil-Liminal is kinda what im trying to do, but lets get into some things that might fall under the genre that i enjoy.

Of course the Welcome to Nightvale podcast, was probably my first big experience with queer media in the spooky or weird genre, and also one of the first i experienced with wholesome queer rep instead of just bury your gays tropes all over the place.

Wildelife, Lies Within and Black Water (right here on tumblr) all have queer rep and are comics i personally enjoy!

Heres some movies i think could fit the question, I'm picking my personal faves, and trying to pick some that might not be AS well known as any old rotten tomatoes list ya know?

first off, She Creature, which is pretty old, but who doesn't like scary mermaids and wlw relationships? its a strange movie and i haven't watched it in ages but worth a visit for a fun spooky perspective.

There might be some who will fight me on this, but Let The Right One In. I understand as a nonbinary person that there are themes that are problematic in the film, but i also understand this was one of the first time i saw someone just a little bit like me on screen in a horror film. so im counting it. (also i should clarify that i mean the 2008 version, not the American remake.)

The Hunger. Listen, its got Bowie in it as a vampire. 'nuff said.

All Cheerleaders must Die. Its just fun ok? I love camp and i love gay camp.

Im going to add ParaNorman because it is SUCH a good movie, and its almost the only time ive seen a cartoon go there without making it a bad joke.

the Fear Street trilogy is fun. fight me.

Sorry my wording is really bad because I have some pretty bad brain fog I didn't mean to say hiding behind, it's just kind of what my brain was able to come up with. But more like. Hey Cake anon, thank you so much for clarifying!!!!

I'm going to apologize in advance because this isn't written like my usual stuff, but I wanted to get it out to you asap after the misunderstanding this morning!!!

Let me hook you up with my thoughts on what would happen.

First of all, we need to find a world with an alternate Cake, specifically one she'd be in to.

Easy peasy lemon squeezy. So I thought. The only alternate of Cake I could find in the show is Jake and Jake is in love with Lady and I don't feel like tearing them apart.

But there are infinite other worlds.

So let's say Prismo watched through everything he missed from their adventures, and made a mental note that Cake was obsessed with seeing everyone with alternate versions of themselves.

So he pulls Brownie, an orange cat with white patches and a similar personality, from a world not too different from farm world. He stylizes them and gives them time to acclimate to walking on two legs and talking, then sends them to Fi's world the same way they sent LD, Jay, and Peppermint tank

Cake is out for her daily stroll, sees the cat, and is IMMEDIATELY interested in this handsome stranger.

She lays the charm on t h i c k and Brownie thinks she's the funniest cat they've ever met.

They agree to go on a date with Cake (who doesn't know what a date is, but she knows its a thing humans go on when they like each other)

Cake runs home and slams the door open like "FI I NEED YOUR HELP"

and Fionna hears her out, and is absolutely ecstatic, winds up calling Marshall and Gary over to help her figure out how to plan a date for two cats.

They decide on a big bowl of spaghetti for the two of them to share.

Gary spends half the day cooking, trying to make a cat-safe pasta sauce.

Cake shapes a little bowtie for herself and answers the door for Brownie, who has also shaped a little bowtie. They both think it's hysterical and are crying and laughing by the time they sit down at the little table Marshall found for them to use for the date.

And yes, this all ends in the lady and the tramp one noodle and kiss scene.

Cake doesn't actually find out that they're the same person for weeks, when Brownie eventually lets it slip.

She doesn't say anything, just runs home.

Cake gets back to the apartment, and makes Fionna call Simon, who is half asleep when he answers. She then rubs it in both of their faces at the same time that she kissed herself and they all wasted their chances.

(now let's pretend this all aligns with the DWU)

Simon does not divulge his wish or that he's done a lot more than just kiss himself. He lets her have her moment, then hangs up.

I've seen a couple of posts and got an ask talking about how poorly written this season was and... Idk if this is a hot take but, with the exception of Will, Mike and Eleven, I think Volume 2 was really well written. The emotional beats crushed me. The plot twist and mystery are insane. I've got so much to write theories on. I completely get people are angry, I am too, but I think that people are letting their anger colour the way they view Volume 2. Idk just because it didn't meet your expectations doesn't mean it was bad, it was just different? I'm fully prepared to get corrected for this but I dunno, I just liked it a lot.

I guess people look for different things in the show as well. I like sci-fi, horror and mystery. Whereas, I'm not a fan of romance or comedy. So whilst I wish it handled it's queer character better (like way better), I don't think it's inherently awful because of that. Like people saying the Duffers are horrible writers? A few poorly written characters and a bad monologue does not make you an irredeemably awful writer. They're brilliant writers, even if some of the stuff this season wasn't good. To be honest, S4 might be one of if not my favourite season. It had some imperfections but the stuff that was done well was done amazingly.

Also a lot of the stuff I'm annoyed about was because of marketing. All the Byler posts. The Duffers saying Will's sexuality would get clarified. I don't think we'd have been as disappointed if they didn't feed us lies and false expectations. Because minus some of the handling of Will's sexuality, I thought the season was pretty brilliant.

As I said, feel free to disagree but I feel like I'm meant to have a certain opinion about Volume 2 that I just don't. This show has been an obsession of mine for years and it's basically consumed my life. And whilst the queer stuff was a letdown, the season really surpassed my expectations post S3 and I loved it a lot. I don't think that obsession is going away any time soon.

'Think about Sylvester Stallone training as Rocky while the empowering theme song building him up. The montage is an editing technique you have seen before, in many different ways, like Rocky reaching those museum steps. It might be emotional, the passage of time can be rapid, and there might be new reveals. You have probably seen this technique in the movies by director Christopher Nolan, which dive into the spectacle of the story and emotional cores of the characters. A dream thief struggles with fantasy and reality. A dark knight never loses his heroism. The thoughts of doomsday torture a physicist. Editors Lee Smith and Jennifer Lame worked on these titles to create an ending with a potent impact before the screen goes to black. While not all of Nolan’s movies end this way, he seems to love a good montage to bring everything full circle.

'Inception' and 'Interstellar' Expand Their Worlds in Different Ways

“Come back to reality,” Professor Miles (Michael Caine) says for an important line in Inception (2010), where not everyone knows what is real or fantasy. The professor tells this to Dom (Leonardo DiCaprio), an expert thief who can invade a target’s dreams. The loss of his wife Mal (Marion Cotillard) has turned him into a haunted man. He deeply regrets his part in her death, but one mission could allow him to return to his children. That is if Dom doesn't cause his own downfall. He constantly rushes to use his totem, waiting for the spinning top to topple over, which will assure him he’s out of a dream. Many of the memories Dom retreats to in his mind are of his late wife, but there is also the final moment he sees his kids. And after Dom successfully completes the central mission, Hans Zimmer’s score intensifies on the journey home.

There is hardly any dialogue in this montage ending. The pacing and transitions are smooth and quick, almost dream-like, as Dom gets closer. Then the music slows. Dom doesn’t look to his spinning top, instead he hurries to his family when he gets the chance. His memories and life have been seen throughout the movie, and this, his most personal experience, isn’t meant for us. The camera pans away to the spinning top, which is about to fall. Mal was “possessed by an idea,” Dom explained at one point, this last shot of the spinning top is just as captivating. Nolan clarified what the ending means, in his own way, “There is a nihilistic view of that ending, right? But also, he’s moved on and is with his kids. The ambiguity is not an emotional ambiguity. It’s an intellectual one for the audience.” Dom’s totem and his children are part of Inception’s conflict of fantasy and reality, and this is what the montage lingers on. In Nolan’s other sci-fi epic, he goes bigger than slipping into someone’s subconscious.

The universe to Interstellar (2014) is endless. Cooper (Matthew McConaughey), Dr. Brand (Anne Hathaway), and the Endurance crew travel through a black hole to hostile planets in distant galaxies. They hope one will be the new home for the endangered human population. At various moments, there is cross-cutting, one method to limit how far Cooper is from his daughter Murph (Jessica Chastain). In a last ditch effort to save many lives, Cooper leaves Brand to travel to the next planet, allowing himself to be taken into the black hole. But it spits him out into a strange new setting where Cooper communicates with Murph across the previous years. Murph uses the data he sends over to save him and the world. For the existential crisis that erupts on Cooper’s space odyssey, the story narrows down to a child and parent finding each other again.

Cooper is finally reunited with Murph (Ellen Burstyn), now decades older than himself. She weeps, but takes comfort in seeing him, knowing it would happen. And why? “Because my dad promised me.” She doesn’t want him to see her imminent death, so she sends him to go find Brand. The ending closes in on both Cooper and Brand, separated by galaxies, but he’s been faced with greater obstacles. The montage has Cooper get into a spacecraft, while Brand sets up camp on a planet that will be suitable for life. It’s a new beginning, and Murph’s narration works as a closing statement: “Maybe, right now, she’s settling in for the long nap, by the light of our new sun, in our new home.” These final moments are hopeful. However, in Nolan’s superhero movies, it gets more complicated.

Gotham City Perseveres Because of the Batman

The Dark Knight (2008) challenges Bruce Wayne (Christian Bale) like never before with the chaos of the Joker (Heath Ledger). When it seems this villain is defeated, the Joker cackles, “You didn't think I'd risk losing the battle for Gotham's soul in a fistfight with you?” Another force of chaos is unleashed in the grieving, half-burned Harvey Dent (Aaron Eckhart), who has been manipulated terribly. Gotham’s white knight has sent crime lords and mobsters into prison, cleaning up the streets, but by the end, Dent wants revenge over who he blames for the murder of Rachel (Maggie Gyllenhaal), including a loved one of Commissioner Gordon (Gary Oldman). Dent is killed when Batman intervenes and the linear timeline is made flexible during the movie’s closing moments.

Batman isn’t a white knight, he can be blamed for Dent’s actions. In the montage sequence, Gordon gives a eulogy on Dent, then smashes the Bat Signal at a later time. For the greater good, the public will believe the cover-up. Can Batman die a hero, or will he live long enough to see himself become a villain? It seems Batman will be a villain to Gotham. But in The Dark Knight Rises (2012), the nocturnal crusader figures out how to avoid both of these scenarios. What helps is the emotional core to this trilogy in the relationship between Alfred (Michael Caine) and Bruce.

Alfred explains how he would take a trip to Florence, and visit a café where, “I had this fantasy that I would look across the tables and I’d see you there, with a wife, maybe a couple of kids. You wouldn’t say anything to me, nor me to you. But we’d both know that you made it. That you were happy.” That doesn’t seem to be the ending for Rises when Gotham is trapped under a nuclear bomb’s countdown. Batman is able to secure it to the Bat Wing, flying it safely out of the city, without any way he could survive the ensuing explosion. Bruce and Batman are soon memorialized, where Wayne Manor gets turned into an orphanage and a statue is built in honor of the dark knight. They die as heroes, or so it seems.

It’s in the title, the whole movie is about rising. There is the chant, “Deshi Basara!” that echoes in a prison pit, translated to, “Rise.” There is Bruce’s return into the bat armor, then his second return after his back is broken. Gordon delivers another eulogy, this time for Bruce, stating, “I see a beautiful city and a brilliant people rising from this abyss.” The ending makes good on all these motifs. Alfred goes to the café he mentioned and there he sees Bruce, alive and content. A booming score swells during the final scene, where Officer Blake (Joseph Gordon-Levitt) is lifted in the Bat Cave to become a new protector. For this brisk epilogue, Bruce gets his happy ending, while Gotham remains in safe hands. When Nolan makes movies based on real-life, the montage reflects on the horrors that have been seen.

Christopher Nolan’s Historical Thrillers Face the Future

Dunkirk (2017) pays off from previous scenes for a somber conclusion. On the civilian side of the story, George (Barry Keoghan) jumps onboard Mr. Dawson’s (Mark Rylance) boat, hoping to do something big with his life. The plan is to save the lives of stranded English soldiers. An accident from a traumatized soldier (Cillian Murphy) causes George to fall and suffer a severe head wound. Laying nearly motionless, he confides to Mr. Dawson’s son Peter (Tom Glynn-Carney) his hopes of being in the newspaper where his father and old teachers see him credited him as a hero. He ultimately dies, not surviving long enough for the rescue of soldiers from a disaster. George’s death doesn’t seem courageous in any way until the ending.

During the final scenes, Peter gets George’s picture and obituary into the paper, where he is hailed as the hero the young man wished to be. This cross-cuts with other scenes with active soldiers. Alex (Harry Styles) makes Tommy (Fionn Whitehead) read the paper, unable to meet the eyes of people outside their arriving train. They aren’t viewed as cowards like Alex fears, they are victors, having survived is enough. Out on the beach they were rescued from, infantry helmets lay out on the sand, although many were saved, many others died. Spitfire pilot Farrier (Tom Hardy) is taken captive, but after he burns his plane to destroy it from getting into the enemy’s hands. Out of all these moments, the strongest element goes to poor George. He is a hero for stepping onto Dawson’s boat and for having to deal with the consequences of war. In the case of Nolan’s other historical movie, a darker resolution is reached.

Oppenheimer (2023), at three hours long, is laced with doom. Cillian Murphy’s portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer is a man who can’t articulate his anxieties, or if he does, he’s ridiculed for it. At the start, he’s fascinated with the quantum world. Once he conquers the atomic bomb, these visions turn against him. The physicist soon fears that his creation will destroy everything one day. In a fantasy, he’s stuck in a fighter jet watching nuclear destruction. In another, he sees the world catch on fire when the atmosphere ignites. A major scene takes place between Oppenheimer and Albert Einstein (Tom Conti), but the audience can't hear what is being said at first, just like the lurking form of Lewis Strauss (Robert Downey Jr.). It’s this exchange that concludes the story.

“When I came to you with those calculations,” Oppenheimer tells Einstein, “we thought we might start a chain reaction that might destroy the entire world.” Einstein nods, recalling this, “I remember it well. What of it?” Murphy’s face is frozen, an expression that shifts depending on who might be watching, it could be of shock, horror, or a grim acceptance for what he’s done. “I believe we did,” Oppenheimer replies. In his head, nuclear missiles are fired into the sky and the atmosphere lights up, this time from global nuclear weaponry. The ending is no longer the physicist’s nightmares, but a plausible, current threat which the movie’s own audience will have to deal with.

Inception, Dunkirk, and the other movies have a runtime that is over two hours long. The ending needs to finish strong. Swift cuts keep the pacing from feeling lethargic. Repetition in visuals can bring a new meaning to what has been seen or said earlier. The energy to these montage endings can lift you up, or it can stick with you for a feeling that innocence has been lost. Either way in a Christopher Nolan movie, there is no going back.'

Hm I am having thoughts about my bus lore, mainly about why the busses were in this planetary lab to begin with and where their creators came from.

For the humanoids storyline they are usually very important figures from Zeons System, where Ester is the homeplanet (and the planetary labs would orbit nearby), the humanoids created the planetary lab with their advanced knowledge and complex trading routes between different civilisations.

These figures are... well it is hard to explain for me, tho this means I need to find a way to explain them.

They're not really gods or anything, atleast the story doesn't focus on gods, more like individuals that have been granted abilities which they can use to protect the planet Ester and keep traditions that have been carried across generations.

Current humanoids usually protect Ester from invaders, who want to steal something from their planetary labs or try to "take over the universe" for the 638384828 time.

These humanoids are not looking to seek control of everything that exists, they mostly stay within their own home and take care of everyone who resides there.

It is hard to explain what kind of political system they'd have on Ester, because I'm not sure if I can compare it with anything duo to my limited knowledge on this topic. Tho I think there is a government who is more on the social side of things, trying to keep everyone equal or atleast have all voices heard, to avoid any bad events that could occur from capitalistic planets like earth. (They'd probably avoid having a capitalistic system in the first place)

But either way I shall try to explain where these humanoids originated from (hopefully I didn't forget too much I took a small break from writing this to go to the toilet)

The current humanoids were kidnapped from earth, the previous protectors or "chosen" ones from Ester/Zeons System, chose them to continue their legacy.

What kind of legacy? I am currently starting to figure it out, because back then I always daydreamed of these story plots just to randomly escape from reality and imagine powerful beings that could do alot of cool things. Yknow, stuff younger people with ocs think about maybe, I haven't been in any OC or art circles when I was younger. I completely missed out on that chaos. So I am just assuming here

These humanoids contribute to the existence of a very ancient civilisation, which does not exist anymore in their original form, but they live through the new chosen beings and the other living beings that are being protected. But just to clarify, these ancient beings actually don't live inside any beings but they probably exist somewhere in the realms of life and death. But the more ancient the civilisation was from the current ome, the less recognisable it might be. Even the current humanoids have no clue of the first civilisation that started this string of events.

Usually you can tell that they belong to this ancient tree of chosen ones/civilisations by their advanced technology or powers.

For example you'd see a penguin with a weird chameleon like tail (I implimented this because young me used to draw some animals with weird rainbow tails, as a homage to myself I guess? Don't know how to explain it) and this frigging penguin literally builts robots, that assist him and fight against any invaders. And these chosen ones like to keep alot of the natural habitats that exist on their home olanets intact, as they want to properly coexist woth nature.

Another ancient technology are staffs which help them move in space and also move planets. (I still have to flesh this out a bit, tho I can say I am not aiming to be 100% realistic, I want to have fun with this and not break my head trying to write some sci fi story and animate it, I am only one person that can only do so much)

And uuh I think the oldest chosen beings known somewhat looked like wyverns, atleast one of them got chosen to try and protect their solar system and also to keep the chain of new chosen ones. Since this has to continue otherwise they wouldn't be able to continue their existence. Maybe makes not so much sense rn but I'll get there when I have time to work on this part more. These wyverns would choose some other animals that chose other animals.. (komodo dragon > chetah > penguin > humanoid-ish > humanoid > human (crazy ik) > bus (omg))

I think there would be many occasions from long ago where the chosen ones would've been life that didn't occur organically, and were mostly robots or other beings. These beings would help boost the technological advancement of this chain and help the next organic ones be able to thrive and also don't need to harm the natural world around them too much... but we'll further discuss this at another point

it is getting late for me so I will write down keywords to write about so that I don't forget, these drafts are more like a "sketch", because they're all very rough thoughts to try and get my thoughts together for this world. it's like the first sketch of a drawing you make

Scientists > who study the chosen ones to pinpoint their origins and their correlation with nature and why they benefit their surroundings in comparison to other industrialised civilisations

The chosen ones > I obv have to find a better name, these ones protect their home planets and their home system. They often own technology that seems impossible to construct for other beings. And they often have physical powers that they use for protection, some can fly, they also can sing in many different ways, also able to mimic music/sound very well after some training! (This one is very apparent for the recent humanoids, these use sounds and music for communication, through the music you can try and find clues about their past. The music has alot of different undertones we can't hear, the music is a big distraction for invaders)

their powers are limited, some only have certain months where they can use these powers to the fullest and some can use them whenever, but if they use it all in one short moment (to fight off huge invasions) their feathersxhair, skin, eyes and anything else they might have turns pale, white or grey

indicating they are drained of power, and are very very vulnerable, it is often here when invaders try to strike them, so that they can't regenerate their powers and most likely die

The family tree > mostly showcasing who ws chosen and who might be chosen in the future, the current ones can't really see who might be the next one, it is why it took R5 (one of the chosen humanoids) so long to finally do his deed that he had to carry on. He didn't know that it were busses tho

Busses? > Whom of the busses would be it? I was thinking of Edwins daughter that has yet to be developed but she doesn't play a major role in the main story plot, as a matter of fact she won't be born in a long while when events take place!

And a chosen one as previously mentioned doesn't have to be from organic origin, the busses were manmade but were gifted AIs and accidentally were able to spread out on a planet and built a new society that will carry on the legacy and ultimately give this legacy to another civilisation

Also been wondering about the correlation between R5 and Plock, one random thoughtsl was if Plock was R5 and R5 would merely try to make sure that the busses succeed and that he can do his deed

but I am unsure
