Hey guys! On our 4th day in Greece, we started our day with a tour of The American College of Greece at the Deree location! This is the alma mater of our amazing guide, Sylvia! The American College of Greece started on 1875! Our campus ambassador, Matina, gave us a through tour of the campus! Our tour started with the career office. In the career office, students can inquire about jobs and internships as well as their major and minor.

When Sylvia was in undergrad, she enjoyed playing Jenga in the gym facilities!

The campus library has over 500,000 books on site and over 500,000 more online. The library has 10 group study rooms and 8 single study rooms, each with a computer and sound proof walls. There are a variety of speciality buildings around campus. Such as the trading room where accounting, finance, and business students can study the stock market. The main quarter houses a variety of essential building for students to use. The cafeteria “Food Corner” is a full cafeteria with a coffee cafe. We enjoyed lunch today at the Food Corner! I had pork souvlaki with grilled vegetables! The main quarter also has the student lounge where students can study, hangout, play board games, and even play Playstation! There is also a student affairs office with a variety of clubs, societies, and organizations. The main quarter also hosted the health and wellness center, international student office, study abroad office, and the student success center.

On campus, there is also a church, zen garden, an open theatre and even Starbucks! There is an olympic size track and field and an outdoor pool. Students can join a team to play rugby, soccer, volleyball, archery, water polo, and many more!

At the American College of Greece, all classes are in english and there are a little over 1,000 students! After our tour, we watched a couple presentations and enjoyed a delicious lunch! I thoroughly enjoyed our time at the American College of Greece and I would recommend anyone interested to look into spending a semester studying abroad there.

So I had a realization base on biology. So, here’s a small biology lesson before we start: humans have evolved with binocular vision, essentially our eyes face directly foreword, like most other predators. Prey animals generally have eyes on both sides of their heads so they can see more of their surroundings and what may be behind them. Binocular visions lowers our ability to see our surroundings, but it causes an overlap in both our fields of vision which the brain naturally tunes out. This is why we don’t actively ‘see’ our noses and don’t have the central portions of our vision conflicting with each other. This overlap however does do something important, it gives us depth perception essentially allowing us to see 3D space.

This lead me to the realization that Time probably doesn’t have great depth perception, assuming that he cannot see with his scarred eye. This isn’t unusual as people who have different sightedness(near/far) have difficultly with depth perception, sometimes even with glasses. But Time is missing an entire portion of his vision, which would not only give him a blindspot but would also remove his depth perception.

So, just imagine someone throwing him a potion or something and A) he’s perceives the trow as long and on trying to catch it he misses it and it hits the ground first or B) he overestimates how short the throw and gets clocked in the face by a bottle. How does he fight with then? The Biggoron sword is sharpened on all sides and is extremely long, so as long as he swings the blade in an area where another person in the group isn’t, chances are he’s still gonna do some damage. He’d probably have to relearn archery to an extent but the fairy bow is magic so it may not need corrections for gravity and wind direction, his hookshot just requires lining up so there would be no need of corrections there, bombs probably aren’t entirely safe anymore but bombchus would be more of a go to then.

Warriors would probably know that Time’s depth perception is nonexistent because he’s handled war injuries before and has likely seen all the possible outcomes, Four would probably have an inkling about it since his craft requires precision and observation— also his grandfather would likely lose some of his vision as he ages affecting his ability to craft. Wild may or may not know, since he has his scars but his memory loss may hinder that. Wind would definitely know because he’s worn eye patches.

Well here is what I did all day. It’s been raining or I would have taken the Dremel and smoothed some things that aren’t obviously rough in these. I’ve got one set of magnets installed and once the glue dries, I’ll install another set and then I’ll be able to put it together and hold it for a glam shot and give actual scale to it. I’m waiting on some 3D parts a friend printed for me and then the entire thing can get primed and painted.

I have suede to wrap the hand hold. I have waxed thread for a bowstring. I need to make a quarrel and I might make that out of leather for longevity purposes.

I am ready to hoist this over head and yell. I want to draw Rito symbols on my deck in chalk and see if I can make it look like Revali’s landing. I will be taking this bitch to the archery field at the park that probably isn’t currently in use because pandemic and take selfies. I need two more bomb arrows.

I love having The Thing from the game but making The Thing from the game is even better.
