after my fall out boy concert i told my mom that they played my second favorite fall out boy song of all time (headfirst slide into cooperstown on a bad bet) and she asked what the song was called (it’s called headfirst slide into cooperstown on a bad bet) so i immediately answered “headfirst slide into cooperstown on a bad bet” and she turned to me and said “there’s no way that’s the name of the song” which gave me the incredible privilege of saying “alexa play ‘headfirst slide into cooperstown on a bad bet’ by fall out boy” to which the alexa responded “NOW PLAYING ‘HEADFIRST SLIDE INTO COOPERSTOWN ON A BAD BET’ BY FALL OUT BOY” and my mother promptly walked out of the room

kids these days who are fans of fall out boy and can just read the lyrics on spotify or whatever. do you know how lucky you are. when i was a lad you listened to an illegally burnt cd, heard a nonsensical string of syllables, and listened to it 100 times until you thought you know what was said. and then you got ahold of an album sleeve with lyrics and read the lyrics. and realise you were absolutely nowhere close.

ゴーフレット(バニラ)450円（税込）／Pâtisserie FOBS（蔵前）

ゴーフル、ゴーフレットと聞くと、薄焼きでパリッとした生地にクリームが挟まっているものが日本だと定番。でも、ゴーフルとは英語でワッフルのこと。ふわふわ生地のものから薄くねっちりした食感のものまでさまざま。

ベルギーや北フランスでは、

○ゴーフル・リエジョワーズ（パールシュガーがついたしっかり食感）

○ゴーフル・ブリュッセル（柔らかめの生地でフルーツなどが乗る）

○ゴーフル・フーレ（薄型、しっとり生地）

のざっくり3種類にわかれている。

都営大江戸線の蔵前駅から徒歩1分。シックな青い外観が目を引くパティスリーフォブス。15:00すぎくらいに行くと生菓子はあまり残っていなかったが、お目当てのゴーフルは余裕あり。すぐ食べるならその場で作る、持ち帰りなら瞬間冷凍？してあるものを渡してくれる。

8枚入りは箱がかわいかったけれど、調べると次の日までの消費期限で8枚も消化するのは無理かも…と思ったら、単品でも買えた。冷凍していて解凍したら次の日が消費期限。

冷蔵庫から出して2〜3分放置したら食べごろ。生地はへにょっと柔らかく、挟んでいるクリームには大量のバニラビーンズが見える。ひと口食べると、本格的なバニラの風味と砂糖のジャリっと感がする。冷たいまま食べないと、砂糖のジャリっと感も薄れるそう。7周年ということでほかにも味があった。

なので、フォブスのはゴーフル・フーレだね〜。

なんで、フォブスのゴーフルを知ったかというと、料理家の長谷川あかりさんが手土産でもらっていたから。おいしかった、高いかな〜とは思うけどまた食べたいな。
