Mademoiselle Pogany (1-25), 2022 by Steve Giasson Just like the reverberating words and green walls, the intervention of Steve Giasson gives a sense of déjà vu. Twenty-five reproductions of the modernist masterpiece Mademoiselle Pogany, sculpted by Constantin Brâncuși in 1913, are installed on the floor. By seizing this canonical work and the history of its appropriations, Giasson creates oneiric associations based on fragments that have left their mark on him. Multiplied, the plaster heads have a somewhat disturbing presence and remind of artworks previously exhibited at Fonderie Darling. Along with the artist, perhaps some will recall that another imitation of Brâncuși’s sculpture was presented in Guillaume Adjutor Provost’s exhibition Vapeurs. Love, politics, gravity and other sources of attractive energy

"In my work I reflect on how bodies and matter move through space as they react to attractive or repulsive substances and energies. Through a research on entities as love, politics, economy or other simple physical phenomena such as gravity, I intend to observe how all matter is entangled in a network of attractive forces that define their material, spiritual or ideological position."                                                                                                                                   - Javier González Pesce Bio González Pesce is a visual artist and independent curator, who lives and works in Santiago, Chile. He holds a BFA in sculpture from ARCIS University (2008) and studied at Diego Portales University. He has exhibited his work mainly in Chile, China and Switzerland, and in group shows in Argentina, the US, Greece, Uruguay and Colombia. He was nominated for the Altazor Awards in the category Sculpture (2012) and won the first Price at the Young Art Contest of the Visual Arts Museum and Minera Escondida (2012). Since 2011, González Pesce co-directs the alternative exhibition space LOCAL Contemporary Art. Son travail a été exposé principalement au Chili, en Chine et en Suisse, et lors d'expositions collectives en Argentine, aux États-Unis, en Grèce, en Uruguay et en Colombie. I love abstract. Doing one artwork a day is my motto. Every third one is pretty. Every sixth one is great. Every ninth one will stand the test of time. Usually I take a picture of something ordinary and then mutilate it into abstracted abyss. Most of my tools consist of Photoshop and mobile apps such as Glitch!, 8bit photo lab, Picsart. On deviantart I've created this digital gallery where you can pick a folder aka feeling. Ascension (Onions), 2022 by Sameer Farooq The architectural tropes of the Main Hall and the image of successive layers of history also inspired the installation of Sameer Farooq, which is composed of approximately seven hundred ceramics in the shape of an onion, a bulb whose petals also unfold in layers like a small archive.
