🇵🇸 dont forget to keep talking about the genocide and violence by "israel" that is still happening in Gaza and Palestine just as much as you are talking about the protests and divestment camps on american university campuses 🇵🇸
I know it can feel like clicking once a day isn’t doing anything. I know it can feel like every call and email sent to your reps is falling on deaf ears. I know it can feel like boycotting is pointless when Israel is still getting dozens of billions from the US. I know donating can feel cruel when Palestinians get shot on their way to aid trucks.
But we have to do something. Every video by Bisan and other reporters shows us Palestinians getting food and clothes and something to get them through the day. Every protest is bringing attention to a genocide that so many choose to ignore. During the Holocaust, during every slave revolt, during South Africa’s apartheid that mirrors Israel’s, just voicing support for Jews or for abolition meant something.
Even if it doesn’t feel like it right now. If your clicks and reblogging donation links means a little boy gets to smile and celebrate (below), if that’s all you can do right now, it’s always- always- better than nothing.
Blocked my oldest follower and "friend" on Tumblr because she supports Hamas.
What's ironic is that she had nothing to say when I asked her what she thinks about the atrocities Hamas has committed. If you ask her, she'd just justify it by saying "I have no time to waste for zionists."
The reality, of course, that she cannot possibly justify a terrorist organization. But that's what she likes to do, because she apparently hates Jews herself.
reminder that not wanting israel to bomb innocent children is not antisemitic!
me not wanting actual infants to die does not mean i hate Jewish people, i just don't like the fact that israel's government is murdering several people who haven't harmed Israel at all
Iran launches attack on Israel. Iran launched hundreds of drones and missiles against Israel. In an unprecedented attack that came as retaliation to Israel’s raid on the Iranian consulate. Though 99% of missiles were intercepted by Israel and its allies, such as Jordan. The attack marked a significant escalation in regional tensions.
US vetos Palestinian membership to the UN. The United States vetoed a UN Security Council resolution recommending full membership in the United Nations for Palestine. Algeria introduced the resolution, garnering support from twelve countries. While the UK and Switzerland abstained from voting.
US university protests erupt. US Universities Yale, New York University and Columbia are on edge amidst arrests of pro-Palestinian demonstrators. Faculty at Columbia universities staged a walkout in support of the protests and calls for the resignation of the president of the university, continue to rise as the protest grows.
Drones play sounds of children crying to lure out Palestinians. Israeli drones have been heard playing the sounds of crying children around neighbourhoods in Gaza. In an attempt to lure out concerned Palestinians from their homes. Once out, the concerned Palestinians would be targeted by the IOF.
Settler violence on the rise. Settlers in the West Bank have become increasingly violent towards the Palestinians. Conducting raids in Palestinian towns and setting fire to property under the protection of IOF forces.
Use your voices and platforms to bring attention to what is going on ❗️Your voice and platform no matter how big or small makes a difference. So remember to use it.
Sometimes the world sucks. Sometimes it feels as if the problems are too big for you to solve. But your actions do matter, no matter how small. Donate. Speak up. Don't stop talking about Palestine.
It's incredible how the American government quickly united behind banning TikTok because of how it keeps people informed about the genocide in Palestine. They want the platform either gone or brought out by them to spread Zionist propaganda.
Democrats and Republicans can't agree on bills to improve life in the United States, but when it comes to supporting Zionism and genocide, they'll work together.
