Let’s get Hind’s Hall to Number 1. Macklemore has stated that ALL proceeds from streaming will be going to UNRWA to help displaced Palestinian families. So, if you’re struggling financially, this is a brilliant way to raise funds that will help affected families get the help that they need, whilst simultaneously spreading a very important message.

It’ll essentially mean we’re getting streaming services to pay up, as typically they pay artists around $0.003 per stream— so, for example, if Hind’s Hall reaches 10,000,000 (ten million) on Spotify alone, that’s $30,000 for UNRWA. Life changing numbers.

The best way to amplify streaming is by adding it to your playlists, or making a playlist with duplicate additions of the song (with other tracks inbetween.) Again, thank you to Macklemore for doing this and using your platform.

Bashar Inshasi from Gaza has held a dream of pursuing medicine since childhood. The occupation making greater need for doctors and medical professionals in Gaza only compounds this. Bashar is a scholar of medicine, even ranking second in the country. However, the occupation destroyed their homes, universities, and even dreams along with them. It caused more injuries and disabilities in the population, creating an even greater need for treatment.

Unable to continue in the path of medicine, or even life itself, Bashar greatly needs financial help in order to evacuate Gaza.

Border fees to enter Egypt are steep, and Bashar will need to cover for living and residential expenses, along with tuition.

Please donate and share this with whoever you can! Supporting Bashar can help further the education, in order to return to Gaza and bolster the health system— helping the population of Gaza as a whole.

Palestinian families are in urgent need of financial support to survive the current famine and possibly pay fees to cross the border from Rafah into Egypt, which has an exorbitant cost of $10,000 a person. This spreadsheet outlines all (vetted) current donation links of families requesting support.

hello it's top surgery fundraising time

hello :) i try to keep the specifics of my real life and face private here but i'm breaking that today a little for a very important reason- i need money to help cover my top surgery! i have gotten some help through financial assistance programs but am trying to raise more, specifically because my parents have rescinded their support.

if you can donate, it would mean so much. make no mistake, there are so many very important places your money should be going right now and i completely understand if this is not where you can help, but for any of you who can, i am so grateful. i am not exaggerating when i say this is going to be life-saving care for me and by god ik it takes village to get there.

Mila update!

An update on our pup with lymphoma. If you don't want to read about a pet with cancer which will eventually kill her, please enjoy this photo of her current favorite activity: sleeping on Emet and sticking out her lil blep, and skip the rest of this post.

We've changed Mila's chemotherapy at the advice of her oncologist. Her lymph nodes are a little swollen and her bloodwork is a little hinky, and we want to make the switch to something which will work at shrinking her lymph nodes a little better while she's still as strong as possible. We've also put her back on steroids for a bit, so it's time to get back on the Always Eating, Always Drinking, So Much Energy train. :p We might adjust to a different treatment later on, but, you know, this is a constant process, and we're really grateful that we have a good team on our side.

(And that we can afford that good team, which we totally cannot do without help. Thank you.)

Mila has gained quite a bit of weight since she started on chemo, and she's fatter than she's ever been! This is a good thing in the vet's opinion -- if she were going to be around for another ten years, putting on 20% of her body weight in a handful of months isn't a good thing, but, bluntly, she won't be. So this is a combination of 'eat while you can, have body fat to burn through when you are feeling bad later and can't eat,' and 'baby girl, you eat as much as you want to, because now is when you can be spoiled.'

If she dies fat and happy, we couldn't be happier.

Well, I guess we could, because she'll be dying, but, you know what I mean.

We'll be checking in with the oncologist in 2 weeks -- the other good thing about this medication is that it doesn't require us to get her blood drawn a week after her appointment; she won't need bloodwork again until her next oncology appointment. I'm sure she will appreciate not needing to go get stuck as often!

The goal is updated for her December needs, and I cannot thank you enough for the help you have given. I know we keep asking for assistance, and I'm incredibly grateful, because we absolutely couldn't have gotten this far with her without our community's help.
