NO BUT YOU ARE SO RIGHT ABOUT ALEJANDRO OMG? that literally makes so much sense cause let’s say he owns a ranch in the mexican countryside and it’s far away from people so he can keep you safe and you both own a fuck ton of land and take evening trail rides around the property and maybe y’all own a few goats and chickens and it’s just a nice happy farm family 🫶🏻🫶🏻 -‼️
My headcanon is that Las Almas is actually Guanajuato or close by. Maybe, he lives on Carretera A Dolores, Guanajuato or something similar. You raise animals together, and he works on the farm when he's home.
You bring him coffee, maybe atole one balmy morning. He smells of myrrh, sweat, and the sun. You hand him the glass, and he gazes at you, sweat on his brow.
His eyes are heavy with affection. (As always, as always-)
"Gracias," he says, the corner of his mouth curled up in a toothy grin. You go to walk away, back into the house. His warm hand on your wrist stops you. He motions to an upturned pail beside him when you turn. "Ven aquí, cariño. Sit with me."
You spend your days beside him as he works, talking about everything and nothing. He looks at you, and you can't imagine being anywhere else but under the Dragon fruit tree as he chases chickens around your yard. You sip agua frescas and wonder how you got so lucky.

the example people always go for with 'taking things literally' is 'not understanding idioms and metaphors' or 'not understanding sarcasm' and that's frustrating for Me, Specifically, Personally because I am a person who has a lot of social struggles with Taking Things Literally but, crucially, not in that sense. I understand idioms & metaphors just fine and, as someone who's primary special interest is the written word & storytelling, actually am pretty good at them and thrive with them. I miss sarcasm occasionally but catch it most of the time and am often sarcastic myself.
No, my Taking Things Literally is that if you say something to me or give me an instruction, I will Understand It Literally. I will get what you said and not at all what you meant. There are exceptions to this in cases where I've learned the script and even use it myself (e.g. the other day I asked my mum "Is this Not Butter" about a thing, and she replied "Yes but it has buttermilk", because we both understood the real question was "is this the lactose-free spread?" because I was making food for my sister) but in the vast majority of cases, I just. will miss implications and unspoken assumptions. I will just completely miss them, they will not register, I Did Not Know They Were There.
Implications in a narrative? I am on it immediately, this is my bread and butter, I can pull a story apart to get to five layers of subtext & implication & theme like breathing
Reliably understanding that the request "Can you empty the dishwasher?" includes emptying the drying rack which is not physically part of the dishwasher because the real request is "Can you put the clean dishes away?"? Not a chance

Prompt: Peter's mum(s) are told what happened to him (1981, post-Prisoner of Azkaban, post-Second war, or a combination)
Remus sat opposite the two women, fingers nervously tapping the mug of tea they had made for him. They had also opened up a packet of biscuits, but he couldn't stomach eating anything.
Lydia glanced at Remus with a cautious smile, "So what brings you here, Remus? Did you need, um, help with anything?"
"No, no. It's about Peter, actually."
Lydia's smile grew, "Oh, Peter! How is he? Can you tell him to come visit or at least call, I swear that boy is right back in his moody teenager phase!"
Remus looked close to tears, and Cora frowned, leaning over to place her hand on Remus'.
"What's happened?"
Lydia's smile faded, "What do you mean, love?" She turned to Remus, "Is Peter okay?"
Remus slowly shook his head.
The two women waited for him to speak.
"He's- He's dead."
Lydia froze, completely unmoven and her eyes stuck staring down at the table.
Cora took a few breaths before asking, "Um. How?"
Remus started to shake, blinking away tears, "He was protecting James, Lily and their baby. There was a spy in the order. He was- Black was the spy."
"Sirius?" Lydia looked up.
Remus nodded his head.
"I know Sirius."
Remus quickly spoke again, "He's the one who did it. He killed Peter."
"Sirius was his friend."
Remus nodded again, "Black lied to us all. He was not who we thought he was."
Lydia leaned forwards, harshily gripping Remus' hand, "No, I know Sirius. Peter cared for him so much. He- he had sleepovers here. I helped the boy with a nightmare and we talked about his troubles. He's a good kid, a good friend for Peter."
Remus shook his head, "No- no, he wasn't. He tricked us."
Lydia frowned in disbelief, confusion in her eyes, her grip loosening slightly, "You believe that?"
"I promise you, Mrs. Pettigrew. Black killed Peter. Peter is dead. Because of him."
Her hand slowly retreated back across the table.
"My boy", she muttered.
Cora placed a hand on her wife's back, whispering comforts to her.
Remus awkwardly sat across the table, "I should go-"
"When did it happen?" Lydia asked.
"About a month ago. The first of November."
Lydia shook, "He's been gone a month? And no one- nobody came and told me?"
Remus bit his lip, "I'm so sorry, Mrs. Pettigrew. I've been lost in my grief this past month and I assumed you already knew. But Professor Dumbledore came to visit me a few days ago and informed me you hadn't been told. So I thought it should- it should be me."
Cora nodded, "Thank you for coming, Remus."
Lydia abruptly stood up, quickly walking to Peter's old room, closing the door behind her.
Cora stood up, "You should probably get going now. But we do appreciate you coming to tell us in person. Feel free to visit anytime, I think Lyd would like that."
Remus nodded, "Thank you. I'm moving back to my parent's in Wales, if you wanted to keep in touch."

So I found out today the real reason my bank suddenly gave me £300 compensation. It was not because my mum complained over the bank statements they sent me being delayed when I was trying to get approved for a house.
It was because my mum complained over them sending my bank statements, including transactions that list the town name (in store names) of where I had been moved to to escape my abuser, TO MY ABUSERS HOME. WHEN TOLD EXPLICITLY NOT TO DO THAT.
Anyway thank you very much to the staff member who discovered the fuckup and got very personally invested in the whole thing due to also being a dv survivor
