Never, ever, ever settle for less than what you deserve, which is God's best. God knows what you need and He knows what you want, often those two, at first glance, don't seem to match up. Sometimes they do. When He gives you what you NEED, your socks are going to be blessed off. NEVER SETTLE for those who make you an option in their life by the way they treat you while you are making them a priority. You shouldn't wait on someone. You do your thing and if they come alongside you, great. If not, thank God for saving you from that situation and move on. The right person won't keep you waiting on crumbs of attention or affection, they won't make you feel like an afterthought. The right person will make you a priority too, regardless of what's going on in their busy lives. They'll take the time to say "Hey, just want you to know I'm thinking of you". They'll put action to their words, because words without action are just that. Words. Crumbs. It starves you. Never settle for anything that is status quo or where your worth is not recognized and acknowledged. Don't settle for average when you could have extraordinary in your life. Surround yourself with people and work and activities that make you more, that make you better and make you want to be better, that make you realize your worth, that affirm you, push you, make you grow. Settling for the crumbs, when you could have a feast, only starves you and keeps you unsatisfied, unfulfilled and unhappy deep down, even though you wear a mask with a smile for the world to see. I know this all too well because I've settled in my life far too often. The results were always disappointment, hurt and even heartbreak. I am, and you are, worth the abundance. We're worth the feast. We're worth the best. So let God give you HIS best! It's so much better than you could imagine. The active movement of God is captured in these photos....and it's overwhelming. I spent the first few years of Elijah's life feeling defeated to the fact that i will have to do the best i can to provide a normal home for him...to be the both parents for him and hoping against hope that he will not have to feel missed out on how to be loved by a mom and a dad. ... ..... It was difficult. Deep in my heart i knew that it will be nearly impossible to achieve that for him. ... .. I'm just a Mom. ... But then God had a better plan. Well...of course HE does. And HE sure did know that even though i never wanted to admit... i couldn't do it by myself.... .... And one day, there's Justin... this fearless soul of a man.... you see, he's part of God's plan, and just as amazing as God's plan, HE also brought an amazing man. #whatisyourpassion #day1 I know I said I would talk about what one of my passions was yesterday, but life got in the way, and I'm doing it now. Passions change. When I was MUCH younger, dance was my passion. It's all I wanted to do. I went to ballet class 3 days a week, and wanted more! It was my life! My idol wasn't one of those boy band guys, nope! It was Mikhail Baryshnikov and Gelsey Kirkland! I had posters of him on my walls in my bedroom! He was the best dancer in my eyes. I would watch him in the Nutcracker over and over and over. He was amazing! I was so fascinated by how he would jump and it looked like he would just float through the air in slow motion! I hurt my knee when I was in 7th grade, and I think I only had maybe another year that I was able to dance. I had to stop because the pain was too much. They told me my teacher and put me on point too early and it did something to my knees. God has his ways of guiding you and giving you what you need. That next year my freshman year of high-school I found my second passion. For those of you that don't know, we had both of our cars die last year. God blessed us to be able to buy one, so we have been a one car family for quite a while now. . I also swore I would never be the mom with a mini van. So our kids have never been able to have a group of friends come home with us. . God knew their hearts and our need. . AMEN!!! In all the ways that God is showing me today that inspite of the struggles .... that things are actually good...things are really good because i am able to set a good example to my son that praying and thanking the Lord is an important habit to develop. Being confident in praying that God does hear every word.... because HE does...HE really does!❤❤❤ My son had a little friend over for dinner tonight and he asked his friend if she knew how to pray, the little girl was confused...watching what was happening i was very surprised when Elijah started praying...i mean, confidently lead that prayer....afterwards he said..."That's how you pray, okay?" ... I wanted to cry as i was watching this....
