noooooo muriel is lonely :(
also crowley comparing angels to bees and aziraphale feeling lonely when he realized he’s an “angel that goes along with heaven as far as he can” in ep 2 is making heaven look like some sort of hivemind and it’s really cool, it also explains why aziraphale is a bit uncomfortable with not having someone to report to after becoming free
CROWLEY WAS AN IMPORTANT ANGELLLLLLL I KNEW IT OHHH MY GOD I THOUGHT IT WAS A STUPID THEORY BUT IT SEEMS TRUE?
aziraphale using the way he discorporated in s1 to discorporate other demons hehe silly

A PROPOSAL TO MAKE
yes that’s what i thought
i can’t believe gabriel has a deal with beelzebub this fandom keeps winning this season truly is a shipper’s dream
THE SCENEEEEE from the trailer

ALPHA CENTAURY THEY ALWAYS WANTED TO GO THERE
still cant believe they’re canon
THATS THE METATRON
NINA AND MAGGIE TELLING CROWLEY TO CONFESS OOOOOH YESSSS
NINA CALLED MAGGIE ANGEL
ah i suppose the metatron offered aziraphale to be some sort of archangel but hes gonna decline because he wants to be with crowley
ITS ABOUT TO HAPPENNNNNN

yeah as i said
AZIRAPHALE HOW CAN YOU STILL THINK THIS I THOUGHT YOU HAD SOME BIGGER CHARACTER DEVELOPMENT
CROWLEY’S CONFESSION IM NOT OKAY

NEIL GAIMAN PAY MY THERAPY BILLS
aziraphale touching his lips.
GO AFTER HIMMMMMMMMMM YOU IDIOT
i hate this
i need a moment
SO.
i know that in cinema the middle part is usually the sad part so since this show is a three season thing i was already considering the possibility of a sad ending for s2
BUT IT DID NOT. HAVE TO BE THIS SAD.
i have to say it did feel quiet gentle and romantic compared to season one, BUT THIS ENDING. THS FUCKING ENDING???? THIS COULDVE BEEN SO PERFECT WHY DID THE METATRON SHOW UP WHY DID AZIRAPHALE ACCEPT
neil i’m in your walls IM UNDER YOUR BED

Good Omens, Season 2, Episode 6 Reaction
(Contain Spoiler)
I did this reaction in a note, because I did not want to see spoiler on Discord. When we need context, I put [context] in the brackets.
Tumblr media
1. Crowley fake angel hopping behind Muriel like a rabbit????? SO CUTE
2. WHY KILL ERIC SO MUCH 😭😭😭😭 LEAVE HIM BEEEEEEEEE
3. Michael: lets do this
Gabriel: nu-uh
4. Shax asked if Aziraphale is Crowley's emotional support angel and I can gladly answer her with all the watching-you-eat-cake and I-like-it-when-I-rescue-you thing
5. Crowley's little encouraging hand pump to Muriel. they are so cute together.
6. Aziraphale's little terrified "ahhh" when they throw the books at demons 😭😭😭😭🙏🙏🙏🙏
7. HIS HALO
8. Eric never learn his mistake does he? To touch an angel's halo? Really?
9. ITS A FUCKING LANDMINE???
[Gabriel flashback begin]
10. They took the ineffable bureaucracy ship very seriously it seems
11. THEY REALLY TOOK IT SERIOUSLY
12. Omg they are serious. Is this how a fandom win?
13. Beelzebub likes the song, Gabriel follows, then made a miracle to keep playing it. I serious can't be sane right now.
14. THEY HANDS TOUCHED
[Beelzebub gave Gabriel the fly]
15. This is a fucking romance drama and Im living for it
16. No.
[Yeah Ineffable Bureaucracy held hand. It was not AziCrow scene.]
17. For the record, I didnt see it coming. I mean I kinda see it, but I thoughy its just my fangirl mind being delusional.
When they were going to hold hands I immediately stop and running around the house. Kneeling and crying like a pathetic bitch. I know I really say I was sobbing before but it was just dramatic talk. But I am crying right now. For real.
18. Aziraphale reaching out to Crowley I...
19. Crowley cleaning up the house before his angel comeback is so cute
(This reaction was written after 2 weeks because I have calmed down by now)
20. I kept cursing at those two for the entire confession scene. Then the kiss came and I did the same as 17 for a few minutes before I continue the episode. I was dead the entire time after that, just watching them driving and smiling in the elevator with a dumb face. When the credit end, I threw away the headphone and sobbing for a few more minutes while my family members look at me weirdly (they don't watch it. good for them, good for them). I was never the same after that. I can't focus on any other fandom. I have been dead for 2 weeks, but also making a lot of theories and conclusions. I made a world building sheet for the show. It was fun. I'm not normal yet.
Anyway, thank you Neil Gaiman for making season 2! Now we desperately need season 3! I wish for the strike to go smootly and we all get what we need to get!

Last day of watching Good Omens 2 with my parents.
The "spicy stuff" was shoehorned in, they say: They didn't like the kiss. They liked Gabriel and Beelzebub's relationship, but they wanted Crowley and Aziraphale to stay friends (because it's pure, there is no need for sexual attraction).
They don't want to watch the third season.
They didn't react well, and then they say "we are entitled to our opinions". Well yes, but actually no.
I was already terrified in S1 that they'd understand (they didn't). Now they do and it's... not good.

My reactions to Good Omens 2 episode 2.
Possible spoilers for all of season 2 belove
Aww, what a cute little goat <3
It’s always a treat when Aziraphale gets to act bad ass.
“In the name of the Almighty, I command thee, begone!” “No.” lol
Of course the demons have a permit note from God XD I’ve always loved how by the book both heaven and hell are.
The moment Aziraphale realize it’s better to let Gabriel go trough with his bad book organizing system then to stop him. Wouldn’t want your customers find what they are looking for :P
The sound Gabriel does when he’s walking in the bookshop after Aziraphale tells him he’s too quiet XD
Everyday is such a good song :)
The way Azirahales face lit up when Maggie talks about being in love is so cute.
“Don’t I know you?” “Yes. You do. I’m the assistant book seller. I opened the door for you.” XD
Aziraphale saying “See, this is way I don’t go to the pub” in responds to Mr. Brown bothering him is a way too relatable.
“Maggie in the record shop has a pash on her and doesn’t know how to conduct a courtship” Aziraphale says to Crowley, like they both doesn’t have the same problem :P
Honestly, I feel like I can watch a whole season of only Crowley and Aziraphale trying to make people fall in love using all the book tropes in existence. (A season with around 300 episodes or so.)
Loves every time the sun shines trough Aziraphales hair. It really makes him look like an angel, all soft and fluffy.
I knew there was no way Crowley really did kill those goats, happy to see I was right.
The way Crowley is impressed by Jobs youngest child when she figures out he’s a demon. Also, how annoyed he is by the other two siblings.
Loved how she insisted on being a blue lizard and how Crowley immediately responded with “Oh, sure.”
How in the world did Crowley manage to convince Aziraphale to try that meat? Doesn’t look the least bit appetizing.
A surprise God cameo :) Love Frances McDormands voice overs. Hopefully we get more in season 3.
Gabriel actin like the self-nominated expert on human birth and nobody questioning the prosses of pulling the ribs out of the body as part of it XD
Aziraphale telling an outright lie made me a bit surprised. Isn’t it the first time? Of what I remember he has always gotten away with answering vaguely.
Liked how Nina didn’t buy Crowley’s nonsense about his rain questions.
Aziraphale has a driver’s license? I’m more surprised by that then him taking a driver’s test even though he didn’t need too :P
The last scene, with Aziraphale thinking that Crowley would take him to hell for lying, was so good! Aziraphales fear of becoming a fallen angel, him sadly accepting it and Crowley being totally unimpressed by it. Loved everything about it!

On how Crowley and Aziraphale felt during the kiss (but mainly Crowley here):
Ok so first, the main idea for this huge meta is that a LOT of us noticed how the music from the kiss scene is similar to the nebula one, right?
Second, a lot of us also correctly noticed the parallels between the kiss and how it was to taste food for the first time for Aziraphale: bc of his reactions, the hand on lips, the similar way MS acted both scenes, the little inhale etc. So how was it for Crowley?
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Aziraphale's reaction to the kiss is practically a puzzle to solve on its own, so it's fun to analyse it, but basically, in a few words, Aziraphale kissed Crowley and he discovered he was physically starving for him, longing for him, yearning for him, for his kiss, and he had no idea. Just like with the ox. And now he needs to gorge himself in him but he can't. Great amazing heartbreaking chef's kiss someone give MS an Emmy.
But there's already so much amazing meta out there about Aziraphale x Ox ribs x The Kiss that I want to focus on Crowley here, and on the music.
So back to the music. The song in "Before the Beginning" and the song that plays during The Kiss (I Forgive You + Don't Bother) are so similar. They're not *exactly* the same, but they're totally reminiscent of each other. The viewer is immediately reminded of those chords that played in the opening scene. It's no coincidence that the fandom was talking about this fact only minutes after first watching those final fifteen minutes. This is an obvious intentional choice for storytelling reasons (David Arnold is a genius).
I have no expertise whatsoever when it comes to music, so I asked our friend @otsanda to see if that made sense and not only it does and she explained it, but she also uncovered so much more hidden meaning in all of it (musicians are amazing), so check out her meta about the music that not only serves as evidence to what I'm proposing here but it also has so much more juicy information in it 💖.
Back to the point: WHY thought? Why choose a similar song? Why intentionally COMPOSE a similar song for that moment?
Hear me out. WHAT IF, by reminding the audience of the creation of the nebula, they meant to convey to us that, for Crowley, kissing Aziraphale gave him the same feeling that creating his stars did?
THAT'S what the music is telling us. THAT'S why it makes us remember "Before the Beginning". It may sound cheesy, but Crowley may have literally seen stars when he kissed Aziraphale. He couldn't react accordingly (just like Aziraphale couldn't), bc it was an overwhelming and extremely sad moment (the music is also telling us that) for both of them. They knew it was ending . They were both having a moment of huge revelation that was fated to not come to completion. Crowley was right, it was too late.
It makes sense to show Crowley's feelings through the music, bc he was the one who started the kiss, and also he was wearing sunglasses in that scene, it's different from a character like Aziraphale that has all his million expressions for everyone to see at all times. And they've been doing this ever since s1 with the Queen songs that play in his car or in the background.
So my point is: the same song being used there makes me wonder if kissing Aziraphale finally gave him what he lost. His purpose. What Aziraphale was trying to give back to him by taking him back to heaven. There's no need for Heaven. Just kiss him, Aziraphale, and there he'll find the stars you want to give back to him. There you will one day see that smile on his face you saw Before The Beginning. Neil Gaiman and David Arnold I am in your walls 😭
This is what may lead us to see this happiness in Crowley again (not the action of kissing itself, of course, but what it represents to their relationship, them being together, them being an Us).
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As @otsanda said: from the music we can interpret that that moment was a Revelation for them. Almost a religious experience. Crowley found his purpose again. What he'd been missing the whole season (or even his whole life since the Fall, but we've seen him especially depressed this season).
I'm not even getting into the poetry of how one can interpret the parallel to the angel's reaction to the kiss as carnal, and the demon's as religious; that would be another whole essay but let's just agree that it's incredibly beautiful. (Let me be clear that I mean here Aziraphale's reaction is carnal specifically for Crowley, and Crowley's is religious specifically for Aziraphale, not religious as in "worshipping god")
"Do you ever wonder what's the point?" Crowley asked in s2e1. The point, for him, is Aziraphale (if you've seen The Good Place you know what I mean). I hope he figured this out with that kiss, even as heartbreaking as it was. Even if it was a (temporary) separation kiss. (I hope Aziraphale figures this out with time too, that he's more than enough to make Crowley happy, that Crowley doesn't need Heaven, or stars, that Crowley needs him.)
Maybe that's why Crowley didn't leave and kept waiting outside until the very last moment.
Aziraphale and Crowley both bit the apple at the end of s2. There's no turning back from that Knowledge now.
Edit: I just have to add here this brilliant colour analysis of the nebula scene by @halemerry. And it's pointed out that during the nebula formation there's a moment when it looks like two people embracing. And the fact that a similar song is used in the actual Kiss scene I just... I have no words

it's honestly a bit odd to me that so many people have jumped on the 'aziraphale will be pulling all the strings and playing politics in heaven' train. like I think it's true that the metatron is underestimating aziraphale's intelligence and ability to disrupt the second coming even while separated from crowley, but I also think the idea that aziraphale is going up to heaven with a clear idea of how he's just been lied to, an understanding of how much danger he's in, and a plan to stop it is a huge reach.
frankly, aziraphale is very vulnerable to manipulation. I'm thinking now of neil’s post with the diary entry from before the edinburgh minisode where he was duped by two humans, the whole thing with the nazis in 1941, and his sponsorship of shadwell's various obviously fake agents (sergeant milkbottle, etc.). he's not nearly as savvy as fanon tends to portray him. he takes people at face value, especially people he thinks of as Good. (that's not a dunk, btw--I find these things endearing, and a sign of aziraphale's innate wish to see the best in people. I just think that sometimes the BAMF protective aziraphale of fanon overshadows the slightly more naive aziraphale of canon. and honestly, I also think TV aziraphale is just a bit softer than book aziraphale, though he is capable of stepping up when it counts.)
and he's a bad liar! I know it's a meme in the fandom that aziraphale lies all the time, but he doesn't like it, and he's bad at it. he gets nervous and comes up with terrible excuses and the only reason he ever gets away with it is because the people he's lying to are idiots (gabriel), have their own agendas (god, the other archangels), or trust him to be honest (crowley).
aziraphale's real strength is his ability to take sudden, completely unexpected action. that's one of the things that crowley admires most about him. "he's unpredictable," is what he says to nina, and it's true! aziraphale's greatest moments of rebellion have always come from spur of the moment decisions, not intricate plans. (if anything, crowley is the planner--the arrangement and the thwarting of the apocalypse, their two longest cons, were both his idea.)
aziraphale gives the sword away because when he is forced to make a decision under pressure, he tends to land on the side of rebellious kindness. shielding crowley from the rain in eden, lying to gabriel to protect job's family, defying the quartermaster and returning to earth via possession during the apocalypse, blowing up his halo--he does these things because he's following that same impulse. when aziraphale has time to over think, he frets and fusses and is paralyzed by indecision. (or worse, he falls back on what heaven has taught him.)
TL;DR: I don't think aziraphale has any sort of grand plan other than a generalized "make things better," and I certainly don't think he is planning to betray heaven. he might try to come up with a plan once he figures out how bad things are going to get, but my bet is that what will actually disrupt the second coming is an absolutely bonkers off the wall decision that no one, crowley included, could ever predict. and I think it’ll happen, as it usually does with aziraphale, just after he accepts a difficult truth that fundamentally shifts his worldview—in this case, his final rejection of the idea of “good” and “bad” people, and of the entire morality system of heaven and hell.

What if Aziraphale knew what kind of effect it would have when he offered to restore Crowley to full angelic status. What if Crowley walking away was what he wanted? What he needed to keep him safe? Aziraphale just never expected the kiss.
What if “Give Me Coffee or Give Me Death,” wasn’t just the name of a coffee shop, but also a threat? What if all of the lies we saw him told (Job’s children…The Miracle…), the performances we saw him put on (The Jane Austen ball…the Magician act) was all a lead up to his biggest lie yet? “You’re demons, you’re evil.”
What if that was what Aziraphale thought he needed to do to keep Crowley from putting himself in danger to “rescue” him one last time?
What if Aziraphale didn’t want to reform Heaven so much as he wanted to rip it up by the roots and tear it apart, so it can never hurt Crowley again?
What if he knew.

thinking about this on my most recent rewatch
Tumblr media
(gif source: ferndaphnia)
It can be kinda easy to get exasperated with Aziraphale sometimes for how much he’s struggling with what seem to us like really obvious moral non-dilemmas. How slowly and arduously he comes to the conclusion that Elspeth and other resurrectionists are meeting a need that polite society’s nonsensical arbitrary rules don’t yet have an answer for.
But this shot, this scene, just underlines to me how genuine and earnest his struggle is. He’s not being squeamish about graverobbing, like it offends his delicate sensibilities. He’s slowly unlearning some bullshit, and he comes by it honestly and is doing his best. He’s just learned that the contents of the glass jar in his hands are a tumor that was surgically removed from a 7 year old boy, who did not survive the ordeal. Look at his body language, look at his face (so much sorrow between those mutton chops!). If he were just squeamish, he would, idk, push the jar away from him, set it down, grimace. Not cradle it closer to his chest, as if it were the 7 year old boy he wishes he could comfort, as sadness and understanding washes over him.

Was watching Good Omens 2 for a second time and thought I should try posting my reactions (maybe writing it down will make my brain work like normal again, but probably not).
Starting with episode 1.
Possibly spoilers for all of season 2 belove
The opening made me so happy. Angel Crowley took me by surprise. I have seen people speculating about him and Aziraphale meeting before he became a demon but for some reason, I never thought it would actually happen. I think this may be my favorite scene from this season (or on shared first place with one from the last episode). They both look so happy I can’t stop smiling when I see it. And how it reflects their meeting in the Garden of Eden. Not only the way Crowley protect Aziraphale with his wing, but also the smiles Aziraphale keeps giving him feels exactly the same.
Angel!Crowley is one of Crowleys best looks this season. I love everything about it, the hair, him having the same cloth as Aziraphale, the white wings, but the best part is that he looks like a completely different person than demon!Crowley.
“putting a note in the suggestion box” XD
The part with the man trying to speak secret code to Crowley was hilarious.
Miranda Richardson! So glad to see her this season too but it also makes me a bit sad for every time I see her I miss Madame Tracy.
The whole memory loss-dialog XD If a had been Aziraphale I would have shaken Gabriel until he remembered. He really has the patient of an angel :)
“James. Long for Jim, short for Gabriel.” XD
“Hello. It’s me. Don’t say anything. Are you there?” “Should I say something now?” It is this kind of exchange that make me love Aziraphale and Crowley so much.
Maggie and Nina, they’re so cute together! With their awkward flirting and wonderful chemistry. Who can resist the grumpy and sunshine trope?
I think Nina is one of my favorites of the new characters.  I like the way the actress manages the deadpan humor and still make the character feel kind and friendly.
The way Crowley screams when he sees Gabriel. And “What. Are you. Doing. In. This bookshop?!” “I. Am. Dusting.” XD
The first time watched this episode I didn’t understand way Crowley was so upset with Gabriel. I thought they was playing it up for drama :P
Michael and Uriel! For me they went from being These Guys (neutral) in the first season, to These Guys (affectionate) in the second.
Lord Beelzebub! I always feel a bit afraid when they have to change actors, but Shelley Conn was perfect for the roll.  It also felt good that there already was a reasonable explanation for the appearance change, with angels and demons bodies only being vessels.
I love how Aziraphales and Crowleys miracle got stronger when they did it together. They really are a perfect team.
Yeah, nobody will notice their miracle :P They should have learned from the first season that their plans almost never work :P
And that’s it for episode 1. I probably do episode 2 sometime tomorrow.
As this show will live rent free in my head for some time, feel free to come and chat with me about it.
