my hair is fucked and many different lengths thanks to incessantly pulling it out and/or breaking it and for some reason this is a very very difficult thing for many hairdressers to accept. they see some chunk of hair that is way shorter than the rest and instead of being like “oh let’s try and discretely hide that piece or make it blend in as best we can without making any major unnecessary & unwanted alternation” they’re like “Oh No. Not All The Same Length! Unheard Of! We Must Fix It!” and try and convince me to go and cut all of the hair so it’s the length of the shortest piece. which i guess looks the best from the perspective of Correct Hair but not so much in terms of what actually looks good on the person....

Is Apo okay haha… I’m talking about his twitter spree with boc’s bvlgari hashtag. I do understand that he feels grateful and all to boc, but shouldn’t he understand that boc can’t force fans to spend their precious sparetime to support someone they dont want to support. It’s not people’s job and boc isn’t our employer. I love Apo a lot, but I dont really get this haha

BOC isn’t for Apo a faceless organisation as it is for fans. BOC isn’t just Pond or the bad social media handlers. BOC for Apo is the cleaning ladies/men, the drivers, the stylists, bodyguards, hairdressers, light operators, directors, artist managers, acting coaches, screenwriters, PR, every single artist including Mile Phakphum Romsaithong, etc. It’s all those people behind the scenes who depend on BOC success to live. Apo is selfless and a team player, he will put the team’s interests before his own, thus the twitter spree. We don’t know the deal BOC has with Bvlgari and all the implications.

He's grateful for the love and the support he receives from BOC, all the people there but also, he’s realistic and knows the business of fame. What it implies to get sponsors, to be seen, gain money to produce and ensure brands see unity among the artists in the company, etc.

Also, empathy and guilt may also play a part in it IMHO. Apo was with another actor but the media are mainly putting his face out there. Like Maya TV *put the company tag and just put pictures of Apo forgetting the other. No matter what we think about the other actor, he’s part of Apo’s circle, they seem to have a friendship. He probably feels bad and wants him to feel included. Fans shouldn’t police his friendship, perhaps Apo too has been hurt by the man’s words and chose to forgive. But you know what? HATERS will even HATE him for doing that and imagine the nonsense and grief he will get if right now he acknowledges his solo tag.

Apo knows and understands perfectly well that fans support whoever they want and can’t be controlled. Almost 10 years in this industry, remember? He isn’t forcing fans to do anything. He knows his fans, they are stubborn just like him. They love him, they want to protect him, baby him, etc. He’s comfortable being a team player and also IMMENSELY grateful for his fans for the trending, support etc. At the time of this writing BvlgarixApo received 1.5M tweets.

And here is Apo, a man who had the world at his feet tonight, being praised and courted by everyone, thinking about others, knowing well that some people won’t get it, but being a team player.

HE KNOWS his real FANS will get it, get him. They will give him the freedom to do what he feels is right, even if they don’t understand it because they don’t possess all the information and they don’t own him. They know how selfless he is, they know he would rather lose everything than being a selfish jerk.

And that’s why as I’m writing this, Apocolleagues, the unnamed are still trending for him, because this is a man worth trending for, there are not many in this industry who have values, principles and want fairness. Please tell me you do get it.

I think they are naturally dominant and like to humiliate white men so it is exciting. For example, I live in a suburb near Paris where there is a lot of Arab and Muslim men, and I go to a Arab hairdresser. I'm always the only white boy there and it's so weird, exciting and humiliating at the same time.

Muslim men are strong, knows what they want, are proud of their cultures. You can be sure that they will know how to fuck and likes to be worshiped like the Kings they are.

Many predictions indicate that Muslim men could become Kings of the world, or at least of Europe, within the next few years. If such a thing were to happen, I would be ready to obey because already, as a weak homosexual white boy, I know that I should not rebel. They are very bearded, generally rather muscular and they know how to fight. Muslims are notorious for not liking fags but there are some who are gay. Generally Muslim men have a great effect on me.

This type of inflammatory remarks and overreaction should be reserved in thoughts only.

Excuse me, Nonie, but no, absolutely NOT. Now is exactly the time to raise the alarm.

I'm not sure which parts of Twitter you hang out on, that you can remain blissfully unaware and think the majority of Taekookers fight on behalf of Jimin or champion JK as half of their ship (instead of treating him like a prop), but why don't you join some JM and JK report accounts for a few weeks and take a good long look at the daily hate comments, death and rape wishes, stalking tips, and targeted attacks toward JM and JK fans? Stay on those accounts for at least a month so you can see how many Taekookers get suspended and then make new usernames and come right back on to keep doing it. The volume will shock you.

Now I would expect some cat-fighting online and for Taekookers to constantly comment on their ship on the Vlives. People are people. But unlike the other fanatics and shippers, unhinged Taekookers and Jimin-antis have:

--doxed Jimin's personal info online (a huge security risk)

--published photos and private info about Jimin's family members (invasion of privacy)

--bashed JK and Jimin in group chats and then campaigned online by trending the "Free Taekook" type hashtags (defamation, lies)

--paid serious money to fly to Korea and show up at the airport with "Taekook is Real" signs where the boys saw (proximity, extreme behavior)

And in an effort to prove their ship and out two supposedly closeted members, Taekookers have harassed:

--a child from a music video

--Tae's hairdresser

--a necklace maker

--a ring maker

--collaborating musicians and artists

--models on instagram

--models in Paris

--an actor whose partner died

--JK's brother

--JK's tattoo artists

That's just what I have seen as a very new Army and remember off the top of my head. I'm sure if I went digging, I'd find more.

And look, Jikookers aren't angels--there are assholes in every subset of humanity. Jimin, Tae, and JK deserve better from everyone. But no one else is doing this amount of sheer toxic crap. Don't equate what some asshole Jikookers say about Tae; there's no way it's on the same level. This isn't normal fan behavior. They don't just celebrate their ship. Big accounts keep whipping up anti-Jimin sentiment and false narratives about Tae and JK. They flat out LIE. And I and other Armys are telling you: it is escalating.

Three years ago, Taekook fans used to say things like "Jimin and JK are just doing fanservice; Tae and JK's relationship is real and not for the cameras." Which was rude but not insane. NOW, some Taekook fans go around saying things like "Jimin is a slutty fat pig, a no-talent whore leech, who brags about doing charity work to cover up dodging his taxes and his father's right-wing connections, all while he fucks Bongo for payola on his songs that he makes with rapists, and then he forces poor Tae to watch him use JK's body for fanservice to appeal to Korean Jikook fans for money."

This kind of fantastical bullshit goes round and round until more and more people start to believe some or all of it (or they stop fact-checking it and shutting it down because it's exhausting). It's not just defamatory, it's dangerous. It's right up there with the smear campaign that Hillary Clinton runs a child sex trafficking ring out of the basement of a pizza shop in DC. Folks laughed that off and said not to indulge such fantasies with attention, right up until a crazed patriot with a gun showed up to shoot up the place.

Am I saying FOR CERTAIN that antis and/or Taekook fans are going to attack a BTS member? No, of course not. I don't have a crystal ball. But I am saying their unacceptable behavior is escalating, and BEFORE it turns into orchestrated blackmail or becomes violent towards members or other fans who don't support the Taekook narrative, we all need to shut it down. The company, the members, Army, and other Taekookers especially need to work to shut it down.

There are crazy people in every fandom and always have been and it shouldn't be our responsibility to police their thoughts--but their actions reflect on all of us. And unfortunately a few psychos is all it takes to make a huge problem for everyone. This rabid subset of Taekookers are going from having feelings and opinions to having a faith narrative and taking invasive actions. So rather than sit around clutching our pearls or rolling our eyes or keeping our thoughts to ourselves, NOW is the time for Army to recognize the extent of the problem and actively call it out.

If after you do a bit more investigating into the dark side of BTS fandom, you still think I'm being inflammatory and uncalled for by raising red flags here--come off anon. Comment on this post. State for the record your defense of Taekookers. I'll bookmark it and circle back with you in a year. And if by then, everything died down on its own, and Taekookers didn't keep escalating their anti behavior, I will personally apologize for over-worrying and remove this post.

I hope I'm never too proud to admit it when I'm wrong. But Nonie? I'm not wrong. Our community needs to check this behavior before it gets so far out of hand that people get hurt. If that stance seems too controversial to you, it might be best we part ways here.

Nimh: Had a massive panic attack because he couldn't get out of a toilet stall and dreaded the idea of calling the fire department to save his dumb ass. Thankfully, after a few minutes of panicking, he realised that he didn't even unlock the door. He got out of there safely.

Volks: Was talking to a fast food worker for his order when his brain decided, midway through ordering, to blank on him. He then looked at the worker for the next two uncomfortable minutes before remembering and continuing his order.

Kelby: Was cleaning his yard before mowing it, and then, out of nowhere, his dog body slammed him to the ground. Super hard. It didn't help that a group of teenagers witnessed the entire thing. 

Eli: Thought it was a good idea to cut his own hair instead of going to the hairdresser. He thought it looked good. Little did he know that there was a very noticeable bald spot behind his head, and nobody, AND I MEAN NOBODY, said anything about it to him for the whole week.

Anon: Was also talking to a fast food worker about his online food order. When it was time to say his code, the worker was having a hard time understanding what he was trying to say for the last letter (Z). Instead of saying the line "Z like Zebra," he goes, "You know the last letter of the alphabet? Zebra." He can hear the worker trying not to laugh before saying that they found it.

I couldn't really remember any other embarrassing moments that have happened to me, but if I do, I will make another post about more embarrassing shit that has happened to me. AGE - AGEISM IN THE FASHION INDUSTRY

HOW OLD IS TOO OLD?

The pressure women face to defy ageing is a subject I’ve spoken about many times in the past. While our male contemporaries are viewed as distinguished and wise, women are subject to the double whammy of ageism and sexism. With one or two exceptions, female broadcasters and more generally women on TV and in the movies, are allowed to grow old as long as they look a certain way. Tweaked to take the years off, old but not too old. And when we’re ‘grey and stout’ rather than being valued for our experience and wisdom, we’re simply replaced by a younger model.

In a recent report entitled Retiring Ageism, SunLife (a financial services company for the over-50s) claimed that ‘ageism is everywhere’ and stated that ‘78% of Brits over-50 said they haven’t seen an accurate representation of their age bracket from companies or celebrities in the past year.’ And ‘56% feel most misrepresented by the fashion industry.’ Yikes.

It’s no secret that fashion labels tend to prioritise youthful aspiration over a realistic depiction of what their customer actually looks like. Up until quite recently, older women were pretty much absent from advertising despite the 50-plus market being responsible for 51% of the UK’s total wealth and the largest growth area for fashion expenditure. Between 2011 and 2018, there was a £2.9 bn (21%) growth in spending on clothes and shoes by the over-50s; set to increase by £11bn from 2019- 2040 according to the International Longevity Centre. Say hello to the Power of the Silver Spend, the Grey and Stout Pound, or whatever you want to call it. Brands who are honest with themselves about who their target customer actually is, that use relevant and realistic models – and provide us with good quality basics – are going to reap the rewards.

Fashion should include everyone. Women of all ages, sizes, ethnicities, women with disabilities, non-binary women. The landscape has changed but diversity isn’t a fad or a hashtag. One older woman on a website (or a catwalk) is not enough.

HOW YOUNG IS TOO YOUNG?

Living a life many young girls around the world dream of, Sofia Mechetner is opening the Paris fashion show of one of the world's most famous labels, Dior. She is 14 years old, an age some feel is too young to be working in a cutthroat industry.

"I feel ready and I am not alone, I am being looked after, closely," the Israeli model said. "They are treating me really nicely here ... They help me. So the fact that I am 14 years old is not really an issue."

Mechetner, who used to help her mother clean houses to make ends meet, was catapulted into the limelight in July when she opened Dior's haute couture show wearing a sheer white dress.Her appearance drew criticism and stirred the debate on where to draw the age line in fashion, an industry often criticised for using skinny models. "Before she started with Dior, she was cleaning houses with her mother. So if she is not too young to clean houses, I don't think she is too young to walk on a show," Mechetner's agent Rotem Gur said.

The use of young models in fashion is not new. Kate Moss was scouted at 14 while Naomi Campbell was 15. However there have been industry moves to make changes, notably during the biannual catwalk shows. Designers contracted to London Fashion Week must use models aged 16 or over. New York has similar age guidelines.
