This is an odd question considering most people who follow me probably aren't into Destiny, but it's really been bugging me since it popped in my head and now I can't stop thinking about it. Season of the Witch is largely considered the best season this year, which from a gameplay-perspective I probably agree with, but from a lore-perspective I don't understand it at all.
Why exactly did we need to turn Eris Morn into a Hive God to fight Xivu Arath? By now we've killed two Hive Gods already, and countless other big bads, so I'm just confused why all of a sudden we needed to take the risk of Eris completely succumbing to the Sword Logic to fight Xivu Arath. I mean sure, it helps that now she's disconnected from her Throne World, making killing her all the more easier. But I just don't understand why that needed to happen.
What made Xivu Arath uniquely different from Oryx or Savathuun that made killing her so difficult?
I can only come up with one possible explanation, which seems kind of like a poor excuse to me, but whatever I guess. I suppose it works as a reason. That reason being that we just did this to get her off of our back temporarily while we focus our attention solely on the Witness. Because obviously it's a massive deal that she's now disconnected from her Throne World, so she'd have to presumably step back from the offensive while she regroups and figures out her next move.
I don't know, it just seemed really bizarre to me, especially with how much praise people have been giving that season. I kind of think the only reason it's getting that hype is due to the ending when Eris slits Savathuun's throat (admittedly cool), as well as the fairly seamless (albeit contrived) lead in to the next season.

Hii! How are you? Do you know why for each manga/novel there is a different Yuu? And will we be seeing them again outside of their respective novels? I have never understood this matter that well
Tumblr media
Quick clarification to avoid confusing some readers: the manga changes its Yuu every book of the main story (so Heartslabyul has Yuuken Enma, Savanaclaw has Yuuka Hirasaki, Octavinelle has Yuuta Mito.) The manga trailer also implies that future dorms will also have their own Yuus. The light novel, however, seems to maintain the same Yuu for each dorm. It’s still Yuuya Kuroki for Heartslabyul and Savanaclaw.
As of right now, we don’t officially know why each dormitory’s story features a different Yuu. It has, however, fueled many fan theories about canon alternate universes and time loops. We don’t know if the Yuus will return in the future or what TWST’s plans are for them are since we’re not even done with the manga’s Episodes of Savanaclaw or Octavinelle yet!
For now, I think the reason could be as innocuous as “TWST wanted to represent various different interpretations of Yuu”. I also definitely see there being a deeper reason for all these different iterations. We only have speculation to work with at the moment though!

This one is for uterus wielders:
Do any of y'all wear diapers during your period? I am a larger person with a decently heavy period. I typically use pads, rarely ever use tampons, I hate how they feel, but I've always felt like I'm worried about leaking outside of my pad and staining my underwear and pants.
It makes me uncomfortable for my whole period cuz I always feel like I have to sit/stand/lay in the exact right position with my pad placed in the exact right spot in my underwear, or else I'll leak. It doesn't happen that often, but point is I always stress about it throughout my period.
I don't wear tampons for similar reasons, I would just stress about leaking. Same with period underwear. I've found they're good for maybe the first and last days of my period when it's lighter, but not on my heavier days.
I've been wanting to just say fuck it and start wearing adult diapers, especially at night, but I've always felt like it'd be weird to do that. Idk why, I know for sure if someone told me they wear diapers during their period (or just in general), I'd just be like "hell yeah brother" and wouldn't judge them at all, but I guess the social stigma gets to me when I think about doing it myself. So I'm just wondering if anyone else actually does it.
TLDR: for people with periods, do you wear diapers during your period?

Is 6372.8 km a lot? Asking about Leon's bike miles in Death Island.I'm sorry I'm a noob about numbers and you might have to spoonfeed me the info :[[
Tumblr media
Oh, sweet, please don't worry! I love to talk about Leon's life in detail!
So... Hm. Imagine you taking the road from NEW YORK to CHICAGO CITY
Tumblr media
It is a 12h 32min trip. 1.271,0 km.
So... Leon would have to do that trip 5 times to reach the 6000.0 km
But, since this is NOT A ROAD-LEGAL BIKE! and I highly doubt Leon would use it to cross the country for a hobby --- So, then, he probably races a lot with it in courses and whatnot, or...
He is being a bitch and actually uses a road-illegal bike to go up and down to buy bread and go back home.
Either way! 6000 is quite a lot :D That is like... 3728,227 in miles. (I dunno, I googled for this info :x)
No wonder Leon was attached to the bike :P

I just wanna ask but likeeeee
What are your thoughts about lilia and why?
Tumblr media
I have shared my general thoughts about Lilia before in this post! Those thoughts pretty much still hold true now.
Because of how long-lived he is, I have a lot of interest in his history and the experiences he had had both in his travels and as a(n imperfect) single parent. (Book 7 is really scratching that itch for me!!) Lilia’s an enigma I want to unwrap like a candy~
In my updated tier list, I indicated him as being a character I like, but just a little bit relative to the characters in neutral and the characters I like a lot. This is because I don’t care as much for Lilia when he’s being a mischievous troublemaker; I much prefer him when he’s playing the part of a goofy old dad or a wise mentor to the other students. I like mature, responsible characters 💕
I might laugh at some of his antics, but other times they just annoy me. I’m still salty about how he hurt Silver in Endless Halloween Night 💀 and various miscellaneous infractions.

trying to ask this as respectfully as possible: why is taylor swift so insanely popular when her music is so… unremarkable? coming from someone with an education in music theory/production but not in social science

OK Maybe I'm too much of a scientist or something but like... where did the stereotype that volcanoes are a prehistoric thing come from? Different time periods have different levels of volcanism, but like, the Mesozoic wasn't particularly high or anything, frankly, a lot of volcanic activity that still affects us today was in the Eocene, 10 million years after the Mesozoic ended... where did this "Dinosaurs fight in front of volcanoes" Trope even come from like what there are still volcanoes today y'all know that right

I have a question for the fanfic writers among you: How do you treat your work in progress when a very similar story is put out there? Do you go on writing - in the spirit that everything is unique in its own way - or do you abandon the piece - in the spirit of preventing 'superfluous' contributions?
Let's add a further wrench into the process by saying the recently published work by another author, so similar to your own, seems so much better written than your own (granted we are always our own worst critics). Where do you go with that?
Maybe this is a question for readers, too. Do you mind reading similar works/story lines?
