Dia came in the mail yesterday and Maru and Kanan arrived today! I’m blown away by the quality of these figures given their low price, Hanamaru especially. I think these are the best-looking AZALEA prize figures apart from the Happy Party Train set, but I already own the Guilty Kiss members from that set and want to have each subunit in a different outfit so I can display all 9 members in trios and at their best!

Tarot of Destiny / Chapter 14 - Happier Than Anyone Else
Prev | All | Next
Warning: also definitely spoilers
Tumblr media
Hanamaru: “Aight, then. Finally, just the 2 of us, huh… Let's get along as fellow grim reapers, my lord.”
> “Yours is reversed though…”
Hanamaru: “Yeah. As said before, my ‘Death’ card is in the ‘reversed position'... It seems to mean things like… ‘retry’ or ‘restart’.
Well, leaving aside whether this tarot fortune-telling is accurate or not, if it's to save you, my lord... I'll do whatever it takes. Hmm… look back at myself through this card and convey the feelings that arise from it to the lord, huh… 'Retry'... 'restart'....
Hmmm… Well, some parts of it might really apply to me.”
> “Apply to you?”
Hanamaru: “Ah, it might get a tiny bit serious, but... I had a rough life, much worse than now.”
Then Hanamaru calmly talked about his past. He lived as a bounty hunter in the eastern lands, angered a corrupt authority figure, and his hometown was burned.  It was the first time he talked about what happened before he came to the church orphanage.
> “That sounds tough…”
Hanamaru: “Well, you know how it went afterward, my lord.  I've always... wanted revenge against the angels. The ones who killed those kids five years ago... I wanted to avenge them so badly.
Of course, I didn't let on how messed up I felt about it to the kids who survived.  I was seriously regretting it, like it was eating me up inside… I was so angry, I felt like dying.  But now, meeting you, becoming a devil butler and all, I've finally got the power to take on those angels.
It's something to be happy about, but sometimes I think... if you weren't in this world, my lord... I might have died trying to avenge them without releasing the devil's power.  I couldn't exact revenge without it.
So when I think about it... I'm glad you're here. Thanks to you, I can continue avenging the kids without being killed by angels. Wait…  Saying it like this makes it sound like you're just a tool for revenge. My bad.
I didn't mean to hurt you… but frankly, before meeting you... I only thought about using you for revenge. Because back then... I had no idea what kinda person you were.
Remember?  When we first wore tailcoats and went to show ourselves to you... You were like... ‘I want you guys to be happy.’ You know… I'm pretty good at identifying scammers. So when I heard that, I became convinced and was like, ‘Ah, this person is really good.’
Of course, being adored by the butlers helps, huh? Yo! Look at this charmer right here! So, just like everyone else, I fell for you, my lord. I want to stay by your side forever...
I thought my life would be just about hunting angels, a grim existence... But It turned out to be a pretty enjoyable life. Thanks, my lord.  And, let's continue to get along from now on. I hope we can be together for a long time.
So... Don't worry about the tarot's result. You could even turn it into tissue paper and throw it away.”
> “Y-you're right…” > “Can I, really…?”
Hanamaru: “Oops. That wasn't very butler-like. Oh well. I guess I really am unrefined.”
~ A little while later ~
Having received the feelings of all 17 butlers, I decided to think again about what Ms. Elvira had said about ’the way to be saved from an ominous fate.’
Teddy: “So, my lord... Have you come up with anything?”
Yuhan: “Lady Elvira mentioned, ’You have experienced the answer firsthand.' Is it possible that the answer lies in our shared experiences?”
> “I'm not quite sure yet…”
Hanamaru: “Well, let's take it easy. It's just a talk about fortune-telling anyway. Some fortune tellers even intentionally sell ‘comfort goods’ together with ‘anxiety-inducing predictions.’  It might be a loss to take it too seriously.”
Teddy: “But, both Mr. Berrien and Mr. Haures said that Lady Elvira's fortune-telling is accurate... I want to be optimistic, but I can't help worrying.”
Hanamaru: “Oh, right. How about this, then?  If the upright Death card is making you uneasy... Then, my lord, you can do a ‘handstand'.”
> “Handstand...?”
Hanamaru: “Yeah. If you do that, you'll become the Death card reversed, just like me. If we're both in the reversed position, you should feel reassured, right?”
Yuhan: “Mr. Hanamaru…  Please think more seriously about this.”
Hanamaru: “Haha, sorry, sorry. But don't you want to see the lord doing a handstand too?”
Yuhan: “Sigh... I definitely can't let my lord do a handstand, but for my lord's sake... Perhaps we should try anything. Well then, Mr. Hanamaru, please try doing a handstand.”
Hanamaru: “......Huh? Me?”
Yuhan: “Yes. If Mr. Hanamaru does a handstand, the tarot will change from the reversed position to an upright position, right...  That is to say, if there's a change in Mr. Hanamaru's fate, it means that handstands have an effect.”
Hanamaru: “......Yuhan, you…… ...You want to use me as a guinea pig?”
Yuhan: “Oh? Who was it that wanted to experiment with my lord?”
Hanamaru: “......Hey~ Teddy. Help me out here~.”
Teddy: “Huh? Oh, okay... Then... I'll grab your legs as you do a handstand to help you, Mr. Hanamaru. Alright, go ahead!”
Hanamaru: “Hey! That's not what I meant…”
I couldn't help but smile at the playful exchange between the three. It lightened my uneasiness about the ominous fate, and I started feeling a bit relieved.
Hanamaru: “Ohh. Seems like my lord is feeling a bit better now.”
Teddy: “That's right! Even if we don't find the answer now, there's no need to hurry!”
Yuhan: “Yes. We will protect my lord no matter what happens. You are an irreplaceable presence to us…”
Hanamaru: “Yeah. And of course not just because ‘you can release the power of devil butlers.’ You've brought us many other, more precious things.”
Teddy: “For us, my lord is more precious than life itself! Please don't forget that. From now on, we will protect you and live by your side, my lord. So... There's nothing to worry about.”
> “Thank you, guys”
All the butlers were trying to make me feel less anxious, promising to protect me no matter what. Their powerful words… little by little, made me feel at ease.

The Soup Fairy stands on your window sill, hair tousled by a spring storm and drenched in rainwater. She got sidetracked by the weather, but she's here!
•°☆TIS I YOUR FAIRY SOUP MOTHER!☆°•
Your character is considering the person who has harmed them the most in life. Write a line of dialog from your character, describing them.
What do they think of forgiveness? What do they think of reconciliation?
Happy Worldbuilding Wednesday! 🎉
We'll go with Taira Matsubara, Saian's sister in the Azure Bloom universe.
I went a little overboard with this one but it’s a good way to show how the two will never be sisters anymore ˚✧₊⁎❝᷀ົཽ≀ˍ̮ ❝᷀ົཽ⁎⁺˳✧༚
Warnings: Blood, stabbing, Saian referring to their mother as an incubator
@chrystabelleblaumferge @dollystarz tagging you two because I know you’re both interested in any Azure Bloom content (๑˃̵ᴗ˂̵)
Tumblr media
Taira finds herself caught in a complex web of emotions as she considers the possibility of reconciling with her older sister, Saian. The wounds of betrayal inflicted by her sister run deep, leaving Taira grappling with conflicting feelings of forgiveness and lingering resentment.
On one hand, Taira yearns for closure and healing in her fractured relationship with Saian. Yet, beneath this desire for reconciliation simmers a potent undercurrent of bitterness. Taira can still vividly recall the pain of the blade piercing through her skin, damage dealt by the one person she trusted most. The memory of Saian's abandonment during her time of need haunts Taira, fueling her resentment and distrust.
"Saian Fujino? Is that the name people call you now?" Taira's voice was sharp with accusation, her eyes fixed on the figure before her—a familiar face, half of it hidden by a mask, now seemed like a cruel distortion of the sister she once knew. Saian shrugged nonchalantly in response. "What's wrong with it? It's certainly better than the name our incubator gave me. My wife, in fact, loves it." A lazy grin appeared on her face as she shot Taira a knowing look.
Taira's jaw clenched at the casual disregard in Saian's tone. The use of the term "incubator" being used rather than referring to their mother struck a nerve deep within her. "You're sick," Taira spat, her voice tinged with disbelief and anger. "Is everything just some sick game to you?!" Saian's grin widened, unbothered by Taira's accusation. "Call it what you will, little sister. Just remember, that woman would have sold you off if you weren’t obedient. And I must say, obedient you are, it’s almost annoying really.”
"Even now you're not taking this seriously!" Taira's words cut through the tension. "I should have known, when you left me behind, when you left me for dead, you never truly cared about me." Her voice cracked with emotion, raw and unfiltered. The words hung in the air, charged with the weight of years of hurt and disappointment. Taira's gaze bore into Saian, searching for any semblance of remorse or recognition. But Saian's expression remained inscrutable, a mask that revealed nothing of the sister Taira once loved.
Taira's eyes flickered with conflicting emotions as she stared at Saian. Seeing the turmoil in her sister's eyes, Saian reached out and offered her hand, a gesture filled with tentative sincerity. Her gaze softened, and a small, apologetic smile appeared on her face. "Hey, alright I’m sorry, okay? I know I'm not the best sister in the world," Saian began, her voice tinged with remorse, "but I promise... I'll do whatever it takes to make things right by you. To have you trust me again, to have you in my life again. Hanamaru told me you have spent years trying to find me. And I’ll be damned if I let you slip through my fingers again."
Taira's defenses wavered as she looked at her sister's outstretched hand and the genuine vulnerability in Saian's gaze. Could she dare to believe in the possibility of reconciliation? Slowly, cautiously, Taira reached out and took Saian's hand, her grip tentative yet filled with unspoken yearning for closure and healing. For a fleeting moment, hope fluttered in her chest, the possibility of forgiveness and reconciliation tantalizingly within reach.
Taira's guard momentarily dropped as she found herself enveloped in her sister's arms. For a fleeting moment, she dared to believe that maybe, just maybe, Saian was truly willing to mend the fractures between them. The embrace felt foreign yet strangely comforting, stirring echoes of a time when their sisterly bond had been unbreakable.
But in the next breath, everything shattered.
Taira's breath caught in her throat as she felt the sharp pain in her side, the cold sharp blade of a knife leaving her gasping for air. Saian's voice, devoid of remorse, delivered the final blow—words laced with disappointment and disdain.
"That's twice you fell for that, Taira," Saian's voice was cold and calculating. "I can't help but be disappointed in you."
The last shards of Taira's shattered hope fell around her as she crumpled to the ground, her trust in her sister obliterated by the cruel reality. Tears mingled with pain as she gazed up at Saian, the sister she once loved now a stranger—a haunting reminder of irreconcilable wounds.
Taira looked up angrily at Saian, clutching her bleeding side. She staggered, struggling to hold herself upright, her glare hard and almost threatening. "I should have known..." Taira's voice was filled with bitter realization, the pain evident in her eyes. "You really are just cruel…” Taira's words echoed in the empty space, a defiant declaration of the shattered bond between them. But Saian had already turned to walk away, leaving behind another painful memory of the past. "No hard feelings though, right sister dearest?" Saian's voice, tinged with mockery, floated back to Taira. "It's nothing personal, really, it's just business."
Taira's heart sank as she watched her sister's retreating figure, “Sister? You may share the same face as her, but you are no sister of mine!” The casual dismissal in Saian's tone cut deeper than any blade, leaving the hope she had dared to cling to lay shattered at her feet, replaced by the harsh reality of her sister’s true nature.
With tears mingling with the blood on her hands, Taira faced the bitter truth—some wounds ran too deep to ever heal, and some betrayals cut too close to ever be forgiven.
“You really are just some monster impersonating her for your own sick game…”

JP Voice Actor: Kengo Takanashi
PERSONALITY
An extremely skilled physician trained in Liutian and Inazuman medicinal practices, as well as toxicology. Underneath his serious workaholic nature lies a compassionate heart that drives him to relentlessly pursue his ideal justice.
Personality-wise, Tsukuyomi is steadfast and serious, but compassionate as well, warning Yuito to carefully consider his choice of reviving the Onigasaki Clan and becoming its new head before accepting such a burden. However, he also demonstrates a whimsical side, as he has a knack for making puns and can be overdramatic, especially with his fellow Hitokiri. Around the Kamisato siblings, all traces of kindness that he’d show to other people is nonexistent, revealing his bitter and cynical attitude towards them, stemming from his feelings of having been rejected for being an illegitimate child of the Kamisato Clan.
The playful side of his personality usually comes out due to the oath he made with himself, in which he’s forbidden to talk about the massacre of the Onigasaki Clan and its perpetrator. He can also be a bit fixated and excited when dealing with poisons, and this could possibly be the influence of Onigasaki’s lady whom he once served. Tsukuyomi also has a tendency to place an emphasis on propriety, as he warns Yuito to keep his purity intact; chastises Hanagiri for using what he interprets as a euphemism; and complains, at length, about Muramasa’s lack of footwear. Ironically, Tsukuyomi himself doesn’t follow the conventionally accepted standards of behaviour or morals when it comes to delivering justice; he is relentless in his pursuit of his ideal form of justice, and is a firm believer of equivalent exchange.
An eye for an eye, and a tooth for a tooth…
If Heaven won’t judge you, then he will.
CHARACTER STORIES
If you wait in front of the Mikazuki Shrine, the corpse of the enemy will be swept away. In other words, if you commit injustice, you will not be able to escape Mikazuki’s revenge.
Character Details
With his striking resemblance to the Lady of the Kamisato Clan, it’s hard to ignore him as he walks through Inazuma City, personally delivering medicine to his bed-ridden patients. Known for his kindness and compassion, he is quite an approachable figure that one can easily seek advice from - and once you look into his moonlit eyes, a sense of tranquility will envelop you.
Despite being an illegitimate child of the Kamisato Clan, Tsukuyomi is an accomplished young man who once served the prestigious Onigasaki Clan as the late heiress’ most loyal retainer and personal physician. He had started serving his lady at a young age, and after years of honing his skills, he became renowned for his iaido and tachi-dori techniques.
However, he’s had to walk on a path soiled with the blood of others to attain his success today.
Character Story 1
Tsukuyomi was the result of an affair between a woman of the Kamisato Clan and the clan’s chamberlain. Due to his status as an illegitimate child, he was constantly bullied by the noble children throughout his childhood. Back then, he lacked the strength and power to fight back against the two children of the Kujou Clan who often picked on him.
Tsukuyomi instinctively shielded his face when he was shoved against the wall with a dull thud.
“You’re merely the son of a lowly servant.”
“Don’t get cocky just because your eyes are the same colour as the Kamisato Clan’s.”
“Yours are a darker, dirty shade with weird symbols. A pale imitation of the real deal. They can’t compare with Kamisato’s heir.”
With his head lowered, Tsukuyomi silently accepted their insults. He knew that he will never be accepted as a member of the Kamisato Clan, especially with his mother having passed away after giving birth to him. As tears gathered in his eyes, he prepared himself to be beaten by them again when an unfamiliar voice cut in.
“I think they’re beautiful.”
Tsukuyomi slowly raised his head to look at the new person as the two children gasped in shock. He was confused to see a young boy around his age standing behind them, and Tsukuyomi couldn’t help but wonder who he is.
“Lady Satsuki…!” one of the Kujou children exclaimed.
With a polite smile, Satsuki approached the group and said, “My, I apologise for cutting in. I just happened to overhear you.”
Tsukuyomi couldn’t tell whether Satsuki is a boy or a girl; he was dressed like a boy, but his delicate face made him appear feminine. All he knew was that for a boy, Satsuki is very beautiful.
“Wh-why are you here…?”
After the question was uttered, the atmosphere suddenly became tense. Satsuki gave Tsukuyomi’s bullies a chilling glare that made them freeze up.
“… I said, I overheard you, didn’t I?”
Her ominous tone was enough to send the children running, and Satsuki let out a sigh as she extended a hand towards the surprised Tsukuyomi.
“Are you alright?” she asked, “You’re hurt. You should come with me so I can treat your injuries.”
He hesitated. “Don’t you… dislike them too?” When she tilted her head in puzzlement, he continued, “Everyone says… that my eyes are fake, so they find even the sight of them repulsive.” Even if he were to be taken in by the branch family, his resemblance to the Kamisato siblings would expose his lineage to everyone around him.
“A fake, huh… I too have been called that before. By my own mother, in fact. Have you heard of the rumours surrounding the Onigasaki Clan?”
Tsukuyomi quickly realised who Satsuki is the moment she mentioned the Onigasaki Clan. The head of the clan had recently passed away, breaking his wife’s heart and causing her to fall ill. In a desperate attempt to fill the void in her heart, she had her daughter, who resembled her late husband, dress up as a boy.
She then crouched down to his level, her gaze tinged with compassion. “People can’t be anything except themselves. You are your own person, so don’t let anyone make you think that you were born as an imitation of someone else.”
He stared at her. Nobody has told him things like that before…
“Your eyes,” she softly began, “are as beautiful as the moon.”
Satsuki’s smiling face as she said those words was far more beautiful than even the noble ladies who dress in silk, Tsukuyomi thought.
After their first meeting, he decided that he’ll serve the Onigasaki Clan and become Satsuki’s most trusted retainer. He wanted to protect her because she had saved him with her words, and this was the only way he could repay her kindness. Two long years of studying and training diligently then passed, and he entered the Onigasaki Clan as the servant who would often be seen with the future villainess of Inazuma.
Character Story 2
Tsukuyomi’s father, the chamberlain of the Kamisato Clan, is a member of the Aikawa family that’s known for operating the best clinic in Narukami, Tenkubashi Clinic. Since his father is the owner of the clinic, Tsukuyomi inherited its ownership once he was old enough. He grew up to be a skilled physician trained in Liutian and Inazuman medicinal practices, as well as toxicology. He is very adept at identifying poisons and determining cures, and can also treat broken bones and lacerations.
One day, a servant of the Kamisato Clan brought a peculiar patient to his clinic and specifically requested for him to check up on her, before adding that it was a direct order from the head of the Kamisato Clan.
The patient’s name is Hanagiri Isshin. She had been found washed up on the beach below the Kamisato Estate and was in terrible shape. When Tsukuyomi asked why it had to be him, the servant answered in a hushed voice:
“She’s a tsukumogami born from one of the Kamisato Clan’s treasures. If word gets out about the clan owning a tsukumogami, the Tenryou Commission will seize her.”
Tsukuyomi understood immediately. Although tsukumogami aren’t uncommon, the ones formed from weapons and that have manifested in the form of a human are rare and considered the strongest; because of this, they would typically be taken in as soldiers by the Tenryou Commission.
After her injuries have been treated, Hanagiri claimed that he missed a wound. Puzzled, he asked her where exactly it was and she pointed at her heart.
“Here. It still hurts here,” she said.
He went silent for a moment. “… What happened before you were found by the Kamisato Clan?”
Hanagiri revealed that she was fleeing from the Tenryou Commission with her younger brother, Hanamaru Isshin. They had planned to seek asylum in Watatsumi but before they both could board the boat, Hanamaru was forced into battle. His ootachi broke in the middle of the fight, causing him to perish on the battlefield. This made Tsukuyomi realise that not every ailment, especially the ailments of the heart, can be treated and cured with medicine.
Something else is needed to pacify a grieving and vengeful heart, and that was when he decided…
“You can’t exact revenge on the Tenryou Commission for your brother’s death,” he told her, “but you can help the victims of injustice and get revenge for those who can’t. Maybe that will help you reach a closure.”
“But… how will I do that?” Hanagiri asked.
“I plan to form a group of four hitokiri who will work together to carry out revenge for others. Will you join me?”
Character Story 3
“Anyone who prays in the Mikazuki shrine can ask the youkai overseeing it to get revenge for them… Of course, that’s merely a rumour.”
Tsukuyomi first knew of the Mikazuki shrine when he overheard the Guuji talking about an abandoned shrine on one of the islands off the coast of Tenshukaku. It was built in the name of Mikazuki-no-Kami, but when he went missing 500 years ago, people stopped worshipping him and the shrine eventually fell into disrepair. Remembering the tales of Mikazuki-no-kami that his father had told him about when he was a child, he went to visit the shrine and met a strange man there, who claimed to know him.
“I recognise your eyes… Those crescent moon eyes belong to Mikazuki,” the stranger said, making Tsukuyomi frown.
“But Mikazuki-no-Kami disappeared 500 years ago...”
Upon realising the truth in his words, the man approached Tsukuyomi and introduced himself to him.
His name is Aragami Muramasa, a half-mazoku and the last of his kind, as well as the only mazoku that was spared from Mikazuki’s wrath.
“Have you come here to seek revenge?” Muramasa asked him.
“Revenge? Why would I visit a shrine for an agenda like that?”
“Considering you live in Narukami, I would have thought that you’d be familiar with the rumours surrounding the Mikazuki Shrine.”
Tsukuyomi then remembered the Guuji’s words. Is it actually true? That if you pray in the Mikazuki Shrine, you can ask the youkai overseeing it to get revenge for you… That was when he realised.
“… Are you the youkai mentioned in the rumours?” he asked.
Muramasa smiled. “That’s right. I hear the vengeance in your prayers, and deliver revenge with my demon blade. I have to admit, it is quite a sustainable way of feeding myself. But if you’re not here for revenge, then why have you come to this abandoned shrine?”
Tsukuyomi initially visited out of curiosity, and he’s not about to return empty-handed after finding a potential member for his secret organisation. He needed a skilled fighter, one that could also take up different identities to infiltrate places, work at night and with little to no weaknesses - and Muramasa fit the bill.
“My group operates in the same way you currently do,” he replied, “If agree to join me, you will be given proper shelter and also have a stable source of income.”
He was lucky that the half-mazoku had acknowledged him as Mikazuki’s direct descendant that day.
Character Story 4
As Satsuki’s retainer, Tsukuyomi didn’t have much time in his hands to handle the operations of his secret organisation alone, as any free time he had was spent on managing the Tenkubashi clinic. His group already has a leader, an intelligence officer and an assassin - all they’re missing is someone to act as his attendant and to clean up after Muramasa.
Tsukuyomi found his fourth and final member when he dropped by the blacksmith’s in Inazuma City to have a new set of spears forged for the samurai serving the Onigasaki Clan. Amenoma Tougo had been hiding a tsukumogami born from one of his swords, and Tsukuyomi noticed him when he saw the tsukumogami’s familiar blue eyes. They reminded him of Hanagiri’s, and when he questioned Tougo about him, the elderly man quickly claimed that he’s an assistant who was recently hired to help run his business. Tsukuyomi didn’t buy his words however and continued to press him, eventually making Tougo relent.
Tougo admitted that he didn’t have the heart to hand the tsukumogami, whose name is Hanamaru Amenoma, over to the Tenryou Commission. Hanamaru is a replica of the Hanamaru Isshin, a famous ootachi that was forged by Niwa Yoshinori. Hanamaru Isshin was created with the intent to protect, and Tougo believed that he’d be disrespecting the original’s bladesmith if he let Hanamaru be used for military purposes.
Tsukuyomi then proposed an idea.
He’ll make sure that Hanamaru stays off the Tenryou Commission’s radar if Tougo allows him to hire Hanamaru as a staff member of his clinic. He’ll be personally trained by Tsukuyomi himself, and will also be looked after by another tsukumogami working under him.
Realising that Hanamaru will be safer with Tsukuyomi, Tougo gave the latter his permission to take Hanamaru under his wing.
With Hanamaru in his arsenal, Tsukuyomi officially formed the Narukami Yondai Hitokiri comprising Hanagiri Isshin, Aragami Muramasa, Hanamaru Amenoma and lastly, himself. The Narukami Yondai Hitokiri’s goal is to get revenge for the patients of injustice that have prayed in the Mikazuki shrine, while fronting as a clinic.
Tenkubashi clinic now offers a “revenge-treatment” service to its patients who have been wronged and helps them take revenge.
Character Story 5
Tsukuyomi discovered everything far too late. He had been so busy setting up the Narukami Yondai Hitokiri that he had failed to notice the signs of Satsuki’s deteriorating health. His Hydro Vision only detected the faint traces of poison in her tea when he personally brought it to her himself, and before he could stop her, she had already downed the entire cup, shocking him.
He reflexively caught her in his arms when she collapsed, asking her why she drank the poisoned tea when he had warned her about it. With the same smile she gave him on their first meeting, she replied:
“It was already too late when I found out. If I refused the tea, my mother would have just found another method, or even worse, order my immediate death. Slowly dying… is far better…”
Her answer made him realise that she believed she was all alone, that she had nobody she could trust and rely on. Satsuki has always been the innocent one, yet the people around her painted her as a villainess in order to live better lives.
Tsukuyomi couldn’t say anything as tears brimmed in his eyes, the guilt in his heart weighing like lead when she weakly explained that she had knowingly consumed diluted poison with her tea for five years.
“Don’t cry,” Satsuki whispered, “Your eyes look the prettiest when they’re accompanied with a smile.”
Even though he promised to become her most trusted retainer… Even though he promised that he would protect her to repay her kindness… He couldn’t do either of those things in the end. It was vexing… that in the end, he’s just a powerless, illegitimate child of an illustrious clan.
His ignorant, foolish self had completely failed to notice-
“You are your own person, so don’t let anyone make you think that you were born as an imitation of someone else.”
-that the very words that had saved him were also hiding how much she was suffering.
When Satsuki closed her eyes, Tsukuyomi allowed his tears to fall.
“No! No… No…! Please… I’m begging you… Please…” he cried, “Open your eyes… Please, my lady. Wake up… I was wrong, it’s all my fault, I…!”
Tsukuyomi blamed himself for not doing better.
But he knew one thing for sure.
The people of her clan are trash.
Stopping in front of her father’s grave, he then crouched down to dig up Tenseimaru, the tantou owned by the previous head of the Onigasaki Clan. As he unsheathed the dagger, he remembered Satsuki’s smiling face which strengthened his resolve.
He’ll avenge her by slaying every single one of them.
When the moon shone down on Narukami, a massacre occurred within the Onigasaki Estate. Barging inside the main house, Tsukuyomi began to kill everyone he came across, noble and servant. Blinded with rage, he indiscriminately swung the blade around as if he had lost his sanity. He walked past the bloody carcasses without a care in the world, tears escaping from his moonlit eyes in rivulets. He then stopped in front of two young boys who seemed to be guarding a tatami mat, before raising the tantou beside his head with a grief-stricken expression.
“This clan has committed injustice, and will never escape Mikazuki’s revenge.”
After his bloody deed, Tsukuyomi dragged himself to Satsuki’s grave. Without a moment of hesitation, he drank the same poison that had killed her and decided to die for his sins.
As the world gradually faded from his eyes, three familiar figures surrounded him.
Eyes of the Crescent Moon
Tsukuyomi used to hate his eyes. Whenever he looked at his reflection in the mirror, he felt the strong urge to gouge them out so he wouldn’t be reminded of his lowly status as an illegitimate child. However, remembering Satsuki’s words reminded him that there was someone who didn’t find the sight of his eyes repulsive.
“Tsukuyomi… I’m at peace whenever I look into your eyes. They’re gentle, and under the night sky, they glow beautifully like the moon… Truly, they are beautiful. They’re a colour unique to you.”
The yellow crescent moon under his pupils is also a sign of him being a direct descendant of Mikazuki-no-Kami, the God of Revenge that had gone missing many years ago.
Vision
As the leader of the Narukami Yondai Hitokiri, Tsukuyomi would sometimes deal the finishing blow himself. However, he was an inexperienced leader back then.
During a particularly important operation, he fell for the kairagi’s trap and ended up being captured after he was knocked unconscious. Upon waking up, he found himself tied up inside a cave with the kairagi planning to interrogate him.
But Tsukuyomi wasn’t going to let him have his way.
“Where did you hide the real ledger?”
He would always reply to the kairagi with that same question. It would earn him a brutal beating from the treasure hoarders working under the enemy, but Tsukuyomi persevered with gritted teeth.
He couldn’t just give in and disappoint his client, whose life had been ruined because of a forged ledger.
He tried to focus on something else as the metal staff struck his abdomen repeatedly. He focused on his goal, his ideal justice-
And that was when the pain stopped.
Protecting him was a robust Hydro shield, and a gleaming Hydro Vision had replaced the five-petal flower knot on the left side of his chest. With the Vision’s power, he summoned a water blade to slice off his restraints and swiftly finished the job.
Now, with his newfound power, Tsukuyomi can cast shields to protect the people dear to him, and detect dangerous substances in liquids.
But because he can only do so much with his Hydro Vision, he can’t do anything once it’s too late.

message within the leaves: 𝐔𝐍𝐏𝐑𝐎𝐌𝐏𝐓𝐄𝐃 | there’s a note left for rock , it’s sealed in an envelope with a light , floral scent. should he open it , the note will read, “ I will be waiting in the park in the gazebo. please just do this one favour for me : if you like me as more than a friend . . . wear all white. ~ hanamaru. ” | sender: @bravesung I 𝙰𝙲𝙲𝙴𝙿𝚃𝙸𝙽𝙶

━━   ❝   𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞?   ❞  He turned to look at the 𝐎𝐍𝐄 suit that he owned and it was anything BUT white. Reading this message he could only hope that rentals counted. His face burns in quite the crimson shade as he remembers the last line written in the message. Well now he definitely couldn’t disappoint her because Rock DOES in fact like her as more as a friend.
He began wondering if perhaps it would be okay to answer this letter with a text message. However, eventually he decided against replying to this letter through texting as he spent the majority of the day looking into places where he could buy white clothing. Remembering that they were meeting at a gazebo in the park the fighter figured that it would be easier to slip by with just nice-looking clothes rather than going completely formal. (that and he was afraid of overdressing)
It took some time but the clothes were chosen, a completely white outfit. White t-shirt, a white jacket THAT looked like a formal jacket at the very least, then white pants coupled with white shoes. “Eh..definitely not my color..am I joinin’ a wedding or somethin’? Hrmmm..well can’t ask her about it now Einstein.” Words spoken towards himself as he hopped onto his bicycle and rides towards the park from his complex. It didn’t take him too long as he had arrived maybe two minutes later than the scheduled time.

“hi! have you been looking for a full time sugar baby? I will definitely —” sachiko is cut off by hanamaru’s fan striking her in the face. afterwards, she bows and sighs. “I heavily apologize for my friend. my name is kazama hanamaru, it is nice to meet you, mister chevalier.” / BECAUSE I JUST HAD TO FBSJF HELLO!
Well, To say that this day would bring him some strange encounters would be underselling it. It had been a while since Victor's travels brought him back to Japan in particular. The Chevalier family had often based their home away from home within these regions. Though if you asked him, Shikoku was a locale that certainly spoke to his interest.
But someone spoke to him in a rather bold and audacious manner. Namely a woman in her 20s who was really adamant about what they wanted. 'Excuse me?'. Complete with an amused but confused look which was all he could manage before his response was interrupted by what he assumes was the young ladies friend looking to save this situation from becoming more of a jumbled mess. He figures that he would move forward to introductions to not let this linger on too long.
"It's quite alright, Miss Kazama. It is a pleasure to meet you. Seems my family has a real penchant for making friends with known families around Japan. Seems I am none too different with you two ladies." There is an adjustment of his shades as he meets both women with a pleasant enough smile. And yet he had some words for Kazama's friend. "Word of advice. Careful saying such charged words. Men jump at the chance for anything and the man who might jump at your words won't look as nearly well kept as I. No one wins in that exchange." Though the tone was firm in his intention, there wasn't malice by the visage he had in amusement. "A man would be lucky to have your hand. So make sure he earns it hm?"

ok your thoughts?
love live girls main pokemon companion? or the mysme peeps? (whichever is easier to figure out)
Tell ya what. Love Live here and then I'll do MysMe on my MysMe blog!
Year first, youngest to oldest, then within each year it'll be smile->pure->cool!
u's
Rin deserves a cat Pokémon, but will she be allergic? I hope not. Because she would have a Skitty as her partner. An energetic and perhaps a bit erratic cat! It's considered rather feminine in appearance, and I think Rin would have liked having a cute, "girly" Pokémon when she was younger to help her with her dysphoria and to avoid teasing from kids who told her she looked weird in skirts :(
Hanayo is a soft-spoken girl who only seems to perk up around rice and idols. She's extremely shy and insecure, and she would either need a Pokemon who can soothe her or one who can speak up for her. I think a Jigglypuff would be ideal, because it loves to sing but it can also be really tough! Plus it's super cute and fluffy, which fits Hanayo.
Maki has an Audino! Her parents gave her Audino because of their association with hospitals and healthcare in certain regions, but this Audino turned out to be an amazing help for Maki's pursuit of music! Audino have extremely sensitive hearing, so helping Maki with tuning her piano and fixing rough spots was easy.
Honoka has major Growlithe energy, since she's fiery and headstrong and determined. Her Growlithe keeps her from doing anything too dangerous.
Kotori OBVIOUSLY has a bird. Swablu is perfect with its fluffy, cotton wings for our baby bird seamstress! But when it evolves, it's surprisingly powerful, much like how scary Kotori can be when she's serious!
Umi has to have a water type, of course. I propose Oshawott. It's cute and spunky, which probably helps Umi smile and laugh. However it evolves into a samurai, which is fitting for our traditional and honorable beauty!
Nico wants a Pokémon that can shine on stage with her. She builds her team around the concept of cuteness. But we know she bites. Mawile is a fairy type and quite cute... until the jaws come around!
Nozomi definitely has a Gardevoir. The spiritual queen needs a psychic type! Plus, Ralts are good at soothing emotions, which I'm sure she needed as a kid when she was constantly moving around and painfully lonely without any friends. :(
Eli grew up with a Snorunt she received from her grandmother. Now she and her fully-evolved Froslass can dance together elegantly with their thawed hearts!
Aqours
Hanamaru has a name that literally means "flower circle." I propose an Oddish, which is very much a round grass type! Ultimately, as Hanamaru builds confidence as an idol and trainer, her Oddish evolves into Bellossom who dances alongside her!
Ruby would totally have a fairy type. But hear me out: Sylveon. She started with an Eevee like her big sister Dia, but her love was so strong she ended up with a Sylveon!! Trans icon covered in ribbons.
Yohane's best friend is an Absol. She's got horrible luck, but her Absol can sense disasters in advance to try to keep her safe! Plus, Yohane is edgy and would love a dark type.
Chika is the embodiment of the sun, if you ask me. We also know she loves mikans! Not quite an orange, but I think Cherubi would be a good companion for her! Once she evolves into Cherrim, I have no doubt she will spend most of her time in sunshine form because Chika is so radiant! (But it's okay to be in overcast form when you're struggling, Chika!)
You needs a partner who can brave the seas with her! As basic as this may seem, I think Squirtle would be perfect! We know they work well in squads, so Captain You should get along great with Squirtle as her first mate!
Riko, my sweet girl with severe depression. Miss Sakurauchi should have a grass type, right? I think Chikorita is a great idea! Meganium's aromatic flower can soothe emotions, and its breath can revive dead plants. I think Meganium could help "revive" Riko's spirits, too!
Mari is known for being shiny, but we mustn't forget she's lonely too. I like to picture her with a shiny Zoroark. She found a lost and scared Zorua on her family's huge lawn, and she took the little baby in. Zoroark are fiercely loyal Pokémon, and they will use illusions and intimidation to keep enemies away. I bet... Zoroark has had to comfort Mari a lot during her loneliest times. Also Mari would 100% gush over her giant purple edgelord like it's the cutest creature in existence. Metalhead Mari my beloved.
Kanan obviously has a water type partner. She needs a Pokémon who can keep up with her on both land and sea, and so I think she'd bond with a Buizel from a young age! Once Buizel evolves into Floatzel, it can help rescue divers who run into trouble with its flotation sac!
Dia is elegant and refined. She's determined to make her family proud, and she's highly traditional. However, she's also devoted to her dear sister Ruby. Do you remember the Kimono Girls in Johto who each had an Eeveelution? That's why Dia and Ruby both started with Eevees! Dia's Eevee evolves into Glaceon, which suits our New Year's girl (and is even colored like a diamond). A bit cold, but loving and protective nonetheless.
Nijigasaki
Shioriko is extremely disciplined, perhaps too much so to the point where she comes across as uptight and controlling. I think she'd do well with a Medicham, which is elegant but also has sharp senses by training its mind & body with meditation & yoga!
Rina needs an Espurr. I cannot emphasize this enough. Do I even need to explain this?
Kasumi is another idol who thrives on her cuteness. I have to go with Fidough. It's a PUPPY made of BREAD. Mia teases her about that relentlessly.
Shizuku has to have a water type, since her idol icon is raindrops! Starting with a Popplio makes sense, since it's got a lot of tricks and skills to show off on a stage, and a fully-evolved Primarina is perfect to join Shizuku in a musical!
Ai is a ball of energy and laughter and fun. I can totally see her and Misato having a Plusle and Minun, respectively, as they start their journeys together! (Misato needed to wait for her health.) Plusle loves to cheer people and Pokemon on, using "Helping Hand" as needed for an extra boost. Is that not Ai?
Ayumu is a flower girl. Her songs and story are rife with floriography. Conceptually, I think Hoppip would be perfect. Much as Ayumu sings about moving forward one step at a time towards her dream, Hoppip can join her for a hop(pip), skip(loom), and jump(luff)!
Setsuna is the embodiment of fiery passion. She pours her heart and mind into everything she does. I know it sounds basic, but I love the idea of her having a Charmander. They kindle each other's flames and keep the other going. Plus, she's deeply into superheroes (the super sentai type), and I feel like Charizard would be perfect to help her reenact some crazy scenes. She has a big presence, and who fits that better than Charizard?
Lanzhu is a queen and she won't let you forget that. However, she is also associated with angel imagery. I think she'd grow up with a Togepi and then a Togetic, but Togetic refuses to evolve into Togekiss until Lanzhu finds peace and kindness in her heart.
Kanata needs a nap. While Drowzee may come to mind, her idol symbol is a sheep. I think she'd be wonderful with an Ampharos. It evolves from little sheep (Mareep and Flaafy), and its light is so bright that it can serve as a lighthouse or otherwise as a beacon for those who are lost. Kanata is always tired because she overworks herself as a devoted big sister; she wants to be the light that leads others to their dreams.
Mia would receive a music-related Pokemon from her parents, given her role as a member of a prestigious musical family. I can see her with a Chatot who's just as sassy as she is. Chatot helps her with composing new songs but also parrots all of the cursing that Mia does when she's struggling. Oops.
Emma has a Skiddo named Neve and I do NOT accept criticism! She doesn't need her Pokemon to be super strong--she just wants to be friends with her Pokemon! She can ride her Skiddo while singing, like a traveling bard.
Karin is beautiful, cool, and competitive. She's kind of a dork with a horrible sense of direction, too. I can see her with a Lopunny, as a strong, elegant counterpart who also has a soft & cute side. Specifically with the ability Klutz.
Liella!
Natsumi has a Persian she raised from a Meowth. She isn't a very good trainer, but at least Persian is independent enough to best some weaker trainers. Uses Pay Day a lot for quick cash.
Kinako is fox-coded, as her symbol indicates. Most fox Pokémon tend to be sly or cunning, but our country girl Kinako is as sweet as they come. I could see her with an Eevee that comes to the city with an Everstone, but later Kinako takes off the stone as they grow together. Eevee evolves into Espeon because of her friendship.
Mei loves cute things and people, but because other kids fear her "scary" face, she would get an equally "scary" Pokémon because she'd think cute ones don't suit her. I can see her with a Houndour... who happens to love belly rubs and whimpers when you won't play with her.
Shiki insists her Beldum is the cutest Pokémon in existence from the moment she catches them in her "lab" as a child. As a Metagross, they're even cuter. Don't ask about how Shiki uses her steel/psychic partner for science experiments. Don't. :)
Chisato MUST have a round Pokémon! Maybe a Bounsweet who evolves into an AMAZING dancer Tsareena!
Sumire needs a space-themed Pokémon so she can be the best coordinator in the galaxy! Cleffa (eventually Clefable) seems like the natural choice! How could anyone NOT want to watch a pair of cutie pies shine on TV?
Keke loves pandas, but that seems too... cliche. I think she'd have a Snubbull partner! People judge Snubbull at first glance because of appearances, but they're loyal, determined, and loving Pokemon. Keke looks like a happy-go-lucky and carefree girl, but her burning passion and dedication to idols is beyond everyone's expectations. Also she's a star student. How. Girl. Share your secrets.
Kanon grew up with her family's Rowlet! Rowlet is a quiet little guy, storing energy during the day and flying silently with ninja-like attacks. Kanon is someone who chooses to stay quiet after she thinks her dreams are over, but she's also a reserved, anxious person in general. I can see her sitting in the sun "photosynthesizing" with her Rowlet. They grow stronger together, but even Decidueye lurks in the shadows and stays silent. Don't make either of them do public speaking, please.
Ren loves her Stoutland Chibi dearly, but Chibi is not a battling type. She actually has a Sinistea as a partner! She poured some tea and left it for a moment, and in a large, lonely, empty house like hers... a spirit was all too willing to inhabit her cup. But she didn't mind the new resident in her manor, where the emptiness is oppressive. Two lonely souls who became unlikely friends. (And of course hers is antique)

I got into the OpenAI DALL-E beta, and as I had only vague ideas for its use today, I figured I'd explore its potential (in an already fraught intellectual property arena) for fanart, but initial tests are -- puzzling.
The prompt was "A painting of Love Live character Rina Tennoji, in the style of Rembrandt, high quality". I wasn't expecting a lot, as the Craiyon attempts at Rina were vaguely pink-haired blobs, but I didn't expect the AI to miss Rina entirely:

...but apparently hit Hanamaru.

Asian Clothing Figurines Review
Asian Clothing: Japanese Kimono
Kimono Type: Otoko Kimono: Hakata-sugata
Accuracy Rating: 4.5/5
Explanation: Elegant simplicity; it checks all the boxes. Love the touch of personality through his choice of checkered tasuki for tying off his sleeves. However, he doesn't seem to be wearing on obi under his hakama, so far that I must deduct a half point. Otherwise, lovely.
