💭 As a thriller lover I always thought that, there was that nothing could bother me as I probably have read it all. I ... was very wrong.
This story made me uncomfortable. Made me feel repulsive but at the same time it was so addictive that I couldn't stop reading.
I can't even tell you guys how twisted this was without spoiling, so just trust me when I say, it's probably one of the best psychological thrillers I had the opportunity to read. It’s bittersweet and a hell of a ride! I also thought the ending was provoking!
🎨 The art is easy for the eyes and the lack of bright, colors sets the mood.
✒️ Dear X is also rumored to have a drama adaptation. No dates or anything have been confirmed yet.

📚Hating someone is almost same as loving them. Lucy hates Joshua, her one true nemesis. The only drawback to her perfect job is sitting across him.
He pushes all of her buttons & makes her lose her cool. He brings the worst out of her. And she does the same.
They hate each other. They really do. Absolutely hate each other.
At least that's what Luch thought until he kisses her.
💭 Thought :
📝Writing - First of all, I loved the writing of The Hating Game, a big 5 for that!
It felt charming and had a flowery feel to it. Almost whimsical. It was absolutely beautiful.
🎭🔰👥The characters - The way Lucy - our protagonist - thinks and acts, honestly it wasn't never boring being inside of her head.
Josh was so sweet. Truly there is nothing better than a man written by a woman.
📔Story - From the get-go, the banter, the chemistry, and the comedy were in abundance and I really enjoyed those first few chapters.
I love characters who dish each other out, and then serve it back.
The third act conflict was good. Was kinda surprised by the twist too.
🌶️Spicy - Honestly, I'm not a fan of book spice. So I mostly skim through them. Though, the scene in the **** was really nice.
If you like hot stuffs in your book, you will love this one.
The spice doesn't overpower the story and writing.
♻️ There is a movie adaptation of The Hating Game that came out in 2021. Lucy is cast as Lucy Hale. And Joshua is casted as Austin Stowell.
It was good.
I loved the book better.

We have been following this since it came out, was our first Slice of life webtoon. And after 600 episodes it is still one of the few webtoon that we read right after it gets updated. Before reading MGNB we weren't a fan of slice of life stories but the way Fishnall presented her life to us readers made me fall in love. The beauty in a normal life, where you are just doing what you love. As someone who had no idea what our dream was...this felt endangering. Overall : 7/10
The story had lot of interesting elements. And the world building was good too. I liked the art - kind off... The characters are strong. Our protagonist is a strong female character. I liked her - though I would not agree with some of her choices. But as a character she was nice.
But I had problems with the pacing of the story. It started really nice. The first few chapters were really perfect. But in the second half, the pacing was really slow and fast. Everything was happening all at once and nothing was really explored much.
I like the open ending. But I had problem with the last chapters pacing. It was really fast and the way it ended it felt a little abrupt.
Overall, it is a interesting concept. Would had liked it more if it was longer, maybe.

Gourmet Hound by @leeehama . . . A lot of time we read stories that reminds us of ourselves. The hopelessly looking for something knowing that it might be impossible to find. Gourmet Hound makes us feel like that. It is a story about a woman named Lucy who is trying to find a chef who used to cook in her favourite restaurant. Whose food remained her of the family she lost. And on this journey to find that lost taste she finds a new family for herself. The story is amazingly well written. The way a specific taste is used to describe lost time, that past we can never go back to new recipes, taste & flavour used to symbolised the future. It is a story that will leave you feeling warm & fuzzy. The story touches how one grieves & heals themselves not just from loss of family member but from friends that we loss touch with. It sounds sad but the webtoon isn’t. It is a healing story, hopeful in ways. There are lots of comedy & romance as a sub-plot with lots of drama. Plus it is food related so it will always leave you hungry. The art is cute & Leehama leaves us hungry at the end of every chapter with her delicious looking food drawings! . . We found about GH when it was still in discover through Flowerpot- another gem. . . GH is a completed webtoon that hasn’t been Daily Pass yet.
