the idea that hiccup is short after 1 is so funny to me bcuz he's like... 6'1 as an adult. idk what he is in rtte.

But also, a lot of the characters in httyd 1 were made to look overly stocky and wide; even when he's 15 he is at 5'4-5'5 which is literally the average height for a guy his age.

he might have been a sickly baby, at least in the books, but even then, as a boy he's described as 'average'

He's not a shortie in a world of kind of burly normal people, he's a normal guy living in a world of freakishly violent and large and tall vikings with bulging muscles, which is quite literally the point that somehow everyone seems to miss
