I don't know how much I could write about

the fact that both Eddard Stark and Daemon Targaryen behead a condemned man in the first episodes of their respective series, acting as judge, jury and executioner, but while Eddard affords Will some dignity, looks him in the eye and allows him his last words, clearly dislikes his task but does it out of duty, and executes him according to the laws of the North, Daemon has his gold cloaks hold the nameless screaming man on his knees as just another warm body on the disassembly line of the night's purge, clearly relishes the execution as a power flex as well as justice, and while he claims to be protecting the small folk of King's Landing he's also very much acting according to his own law

Something about this scene…. The first time we meet daemon and the first time we see them interact. And we already see so much! Like this is an extremely common filming technique but it’s usually used in close-up dialogues, and this is a very big scene with long distances. It’s the duality! He is sitting on the throne but she is the true queen he will kneel to in the future! They are shown as gothic doubles in the very first scene, which is beautifully straightforward.

My House Of The Dragon thoughts no one asked for before the second episode tonight!

I love Nyra (This is what I am gonna be calling Rheanyra for ease of typing). She is such an interesting character who I think is really showing the ambition that kinda of defines her house. She is still a child yet and she ALREADY is clearly ambitious and wants to rule, wants recognition.

Syrax is also so cool. I think her design is by far my favorite of any GoT dragon so far. The flying sequences were SOMETHING else- so cool.

Alicent...I am not sure of at the moment. A lot of promo stuff seems to perhaps paint her in a less flattering way but she seems pretty chill so far? She doesn't seem malicious or over-the-top power hungry. That obviously can change but. Right now the issue seems to be Otto. He seems to be the puppet master and he is already making my blood boil. Viserys is also on that list.

What happens to Aemma is...unspeakably awful. I saw mention that there should have been some sort of warning and I agree.

I am very much wondering about Daemon. Haven't got him entirely figured out yet but I am actually hoping he is something that is closer to a chaotic good than anything else. He seems to have logic behind what he does even if it's over the top, and so far he seem to have genuine love for his brother and niece. So we'll see where he goes.
