theres a girl :( she's in the year up from me but in the way that means that she's graduating in a few months. ive liked her for over a year now 😭 but i didnt say anything abt it last year cause it felt like a hallway crush and i expected it to die out. i also havent liked anyone, ever, before her so i thought maybe i was just trying to like someone? but alas it's been way to long to consider it a hallway crush anymore and weve actually become really good friends !!! im not the type to force ppl to come out so i havent asked if she was gay/bi/pan/etc and i doubt i ever will but i think she might be 😊 recently weve been flirting? i think? like i said its my first time flirting w someone but even my friends say that it seems like she's flirting back 🙏 recently we've been very... touchy... like hand holding, romantic gestures, resting heads on shoulders, whisper things in my ear, move the hair out your face kinda thing and people have been asking me if we're a couple (resulting in my face flushing and me stuttering out a "no were just friends") and now i really wanna see if im just imagining things. only problem is shes moving far after graduation and i feel like whether or not she says yes, theres not really any good outcome... i dont want to date for a few months only, i want a lasting relationship and i dont think i can get that from her even if she feels the same... so im just enjoying my time for now but im really stuck on what i should do
Literally in the middle of a lecture, I figured out how to respond to your ask, but I forgot it as soon as the lecture ended. I think I remember now, so I’ll try my best in responding.
Asking someone if they’re lgbt+ isn’t necessarily outing them. Especially if you ask it super casually in conversation, saying something along the lines of, “hey, I never asked, and I hate making these sorts of assumptions, but are you lgbt+ (or specify bi, les, etc.)? And no worries if you don’t feel comfortable answering.”
About the graduation thing, that really sucks and is a really difficult situation. If you (without knowing where she’s going to study) plan on studying at a Uni/college close to where she’s going, then maybe consider taking the risk and finding out her orientation and feelings. If not, I’m not sure. It’s difficult because you want a lasting relationship.
I’m obviously not all-knowing, so If anyone else has advice 🙏

That’s how you would’ve gotten together initially too. His face inches from yours, sticking his tongue out in concentration as he pulls the needle through your lip. Adjusting a piece of jewellery on your lip to match his, he’d gently wipe a stray drop of blood away from your lips with his thumb
You found you couldn’t pull away as you stared into his eyes, slowly closing them as he pulled you in for a gentle kiss. It was quick, but as soon as you pulled away he was pulling you back in for another, and another. The light throbbing in your lip was the least of your worries
He would’ve been so protective of you when he’d go with Adam and Joe to those underground skate meet-ups. Of course, he’s only gotten worse, now he refuses to leave your side at S for fear of some creep trying to hit on you
You have the most unnecessary beef with Carla. You know its a joke of course, but since Carla is, well, a robot, she’s not too knowledgeable about teasing. You’d ask her a load of random, strange questions she couldn’t possibly answer, or you’ll tell her how Kaoru is all yours and she’ll start overheating. Now any time you try to ask her a question she literally just. refuses to answer you
“Master, please tell y/n I dont want to speak to them.” “Oh I’ll show you master-”
Kaoru is indifferent to PDA. He doesn’t hate it, he just doesn’t think others deserve to see you like that. Hell give you the occasional forehead kiss, but even so his arm is constantly glued to you in some way
Behind closed doors though, he cant seem to get enough of you. He loves having you in his lap, his head on your shoulder while you watch TV. If you play with his hair he’s like putty in your hands, leaning into your touch with closed eyes and almost a purr. Loves when you drag your fingertips along his arms and his back, its a comfort to him
You and him will constantly gang up on Joe and absolutely violate the man. It’s already bad with just Kaoru, now imagine the poor guy having to deal with both of you
You’ll hide in the crowd during his exhibitions, occasionally shouting out praise trying to throw him off.
Or worse, you’ll just silently stand there, watching him look around suspiciously, knowing you’re hiding somewhere even if you hadn’t explicitly specified you’d be there. When he finally locks eyes with you, he has to try extremely hard not to laugh as he watches you stare him down, a small grin creeping over your face
You’ll go on dates to Joe’s restaurant just to annoy the shit out of him. You’ll act extra lovey-dovey just to make him uncomfortable, and the pair of you will fake a proposal at least once a month to get free cake(its always one of those shitty plastic rings you get from the dollar store too)
You dyed your hair pink to match with him once, and he absolutely loved it. The two of you would style your hair and clothes to match, and you were quite the sight to see at S
Slow dancing in the kitchen while you make dinner is a regular thing for the two of you. You’ll be idly stirring the pot when one of your songs come on, and suddenly Kaoru is pulling you away from the stove, twirling you around the kitchen and humming in your ear. More often than not you’ll get carried away and burn the dinner.
Who cares, takeout tastes good too
He’s awful at tying his hair up properly, and gets you to tie it for him before an exhibition or a race
You’ve curled his hair before while he slept, and he was insanely fascinated by it. He spent at least an hour shaking his head in front of the mirror, raking is hands through the wavy locks. He kept it curled when you tied it up before S, and it was a big hit during his race. Suddenly he was asking you to curl his hair more often
During the colder months, you and Kaoru will sleep impossibly close, a mess of tangled limbs while Carla quietly plays lullabies in the background. In the warmer months though, you couldn’t be further apart. Lying above the covers in minimal clothing, you’ll both hang off either side of the bed, hissing at each other to not come closer to them while you sweat like pigs. Hey, sometimes romance is keeping your distance
It’s a regular thing for the two of you to get wine drunk and whip out some old board games, yelling at each other when you get put in jail in Monopoly, flipping the Scrabble board when Kaoru insists that “milf” is not a word you’re allowed to use

He can never get any work done with you around him. You’ll lie your head in his lap while he tries to write, drawing smiley faces in the corners of his paper. He literally has to carry you out of the room just so he can get a bit of peace
Loves conspiracy theories. He’ll shake you awake at four in the morning, rambling about the new video he just watched about McDonald’s actually being run by a cult of clowns

-After Trent got out of Juvie, it was hard for him to adjust to life on the outside. Everyone was scared of him and he couldn't even find a decent job because of his background. ☹☹☹
-But then he met you. 😳😳😳
-You were different from everyone else. You didn't run from him and give him those judging eyes. No. You saw through the tough exterior and nestled yourself into his guarded heart.
-You worked at Raisins as a (raisins girl/bouncer/chef) and were walking home one night after work. It was raining so you (being a smart cookie) carried an umbrella in your bag.
-On your way home you noticed a lone figure walking in the rain. He was getting soaked. Since it started pouring suddenly, you watched him run into a phone booth to shield himself.
-Being the kind person you are, you decided to check on him. Approaching the booth you gently rapped your knuckles on the door.
-Startled, he turned towards you and put his fists up ready to fight. You raised your hands in surrender and gently spoke.
- "Hey. It's okay. I come in peace." You jokingly made the peace sign. Slowly he lowered his hands and glared at you.
- "What do you want?" Immediately you noticed his defensive manner. Still, you smiled up at him and said, "I noticed you were getting rained on. I wanted to offer to walk you home with my umbrella so you wouldn't get wet."
-Confused, he stuttered out a, "W-what?" At first, he didn't believe you would be so kind, but after a few more words from you he willingly allowed you to share your umbrella.
-You weren't afraid of him and took the time to get to know him. You even complimented his tattoos!!! It was only a 15 minute walk and yet within that time you tore down his walls with your kind words and gestures. He was disappointed when the walk had to end.
-You thought he was cool so you exchanged number with him. After that, everything just fell into place.
-Next thing he knew, he was texting you like you were old friends. He opened up about his past and you almost went up to Team Stan to beat then for making Trent take the blame. Lol. He had to stop you since you couldn't really fight multiple people at once.
-You even got him a job at Raisin's as a bouncer. Now since you worked together you saw each other all the time and became even closer.
-It was no surprise when you caught feelings for one another. Funny enough, it was you who ended up confessing on accident.
- You guys were hanging out in your room watching Netflix. (and chill. 😎😎😎 Jk.) You both were laughing your asses off because of a really funny scene. And hearing his laugh was just 😍😍😍 and you just blurted, "I didn't think I could fall for you more but your laugh just made me fall completely in love with you." Trent abruptly stopped and just stared like 😳😳😳
-You meant to only think that!!! Why'd you say it out loud!!!???😨😨😨 Immediately you tried to cover it up by trying to distract him. Instead you ended up just sputtering nonsense with a face as red as a tomato. You were so embarrassed and was on the verge of tears until he just rested his hand on the back of your neck and kissed you to shut you up.
-It didn't take long for you to kiss backand run your hands through his hair. Needless to say, you didn't end up finishing the show.
-After that, Trent was such a sweet heart. Always taking you out on dates in his red pick up truck. Getting you gifts at random times just to show you how much he appreciates you. He even lets you hold his hand and pecks you on the cheek.
-God forbid anyone from making rude comments about you and him, for Trent will be throwing these hands.
-Everybody knows not to bully you or harass you, if they don't want to face the wrath of a pissed off Trent.
-One day you were working at Raisin's and some guy passing by decided to be an idiot and slap your ass. Oof. Let's just say it took you and 5 other guys to pull Trent off the dude. He was beaten black and blue. (Let's admit, he deserved it though).

at first, he wouldnt really get it and would get annoyed really easily
because let's be honest, he's not the most patient person on the planet
for example, if you guys are having a conversation and you happen to just get lost in the middle of it, he'd start pouting and ask why you arent paying attention to him
thats the whole point kokichi-
or if you start bouncing your leg while you're watching a movie or something, he'd ask you to quit moving so much
you'd have to have a very serious talk to make him understand that you dont mean to do all those things, your body and your brain do them for you
he'd end up growing used to it as time went on and he was supportive after that
i honestly feel like he'd be the one to cause you to get distracted half the time but would also do his best to help you out with it
like if you have homework to do or something, he'd remind you if you try and suggest to do something else
"nuh uh, you have those assignments due tomorrow! we can do that once you finish!"
like i said tho, primary distraction
you'd finally start doing your homework when he'd bust into the room and start screaming about there being a bug in the living room or that his prank failed
he'd most likely feel bad about it tho, he knows you struggle to stay on track so he'd do whatever he can to help you focus and try not to bother you too much afterwards
if youre struggling with processing something or keep getting distracted, he'll help you as best he can
totally not because he hates seeing you stressed, he just doesnt want to deal with you crying
he hates both of those things
when you get your hyperfixtations, he'd let you ramble about them as much as you want and maybe even drag him into them
he'll tease you a lot over it, but you know that's just the way he is, his actions show the opposite of him finding whatever youre into in that moment "lame" or "stupid"
if its a show, he'll watch a few episodes with you
not too many though, he honestly has the attention span of a rock
if there's any moment where you start fidgeting a lot, he'll try and distract you to get it to at least die down a tiny bit and will let you play around with his hands or hair
if you happen to toss and turn at night because you can't find a comfy position to stay still in, he will complain
of course tho, he knows you cant help it, but he's honestly too tired to think about it properly
he opts for just wrapping his entire body around you and letting you hold him and, again, play with his hair or something of the sort
if you forget a special date, he'd be a little sad but knows it isnt your fault so he'd just try to make the best of it and cheer you up if he made you sad for being sad
"Hey no, it's all good! We can still catch that movie if we leave in 5 minutes!"
you end up not having to watch the commercials, but id say thats a good thing
as a leader in general, he'd also help you be organized and keep a schedule for things you have to do during the day, he doesnt think its any different than planning a prank or something, so he'll gladly help you out in that aspect!
if you start rambling in general, he'd listen to you even if you change topics like 5 times
he'd be a little confused by the end as to how you went from wanting to adopt a puppy to your favorite coffee shop, but he'll try and carry your conversation along!
in general, i feel he'd be pretty understanding after a while but would still have his moments where he gets frustrated, he knows it isnt your fault tho:(

event post time lets goooooo. as usual, under the cut there will be some general ideas for event, pls like this post or slide into my ims/dscrd if u wanna plot! i’m trying to be as detailed as possible but like, there is a lot going on, this list probs won’t be exhaustive. i’m also open to p much anything so pls don’t feel limited to any of these plots!! im down for anything!!! either way, continue below the cut if u wanna know more ab what my kids are getting up to (any dates that arent specified i just... didn’t decide on anything and am open to Absolutely anything):
JAEWON:
general: backstage at the concerts is v welcome for any of the days, just idk, hanging out, i’m tryna keep this v general. pros: jaewon is p proud for unity snatching one of the three closing performance slots, dimensions’ pride indeed. cons: he probably has his tits out, jaewon always has his tits out on stage, he rlly lives like this. anyone is allowed to feel whatever way he wants ab either of those two things.
dec 26: jaewon pulls a blue card cuz sexy pool montage of jaewon. ok im kidding (kinda). idk, kick his ass at games, team up w him to crush the competition, drown his stupid ass, literally anything.
dec 26: so SOMEONE learned his lesson from the halloween party, no alcohol at the ball for him. come clown him w/ memories of that night (he sure doesnt have any) or idk, try to talk him into drinking (he won’t)
dec 26: in general, i think jaewon might forego most of the party, just find a quiet spot to hang out, look at the sea or some fake deep shit. if anyone is feeling up to it come hang out w him and, idk, reflect on the past year. it’s a time for realizing stuff. (the muse in question would have to b somewhat close to jaewon for this but like im always down to plot that out!)
dec 27: idk, jaewon will probably forego most of the traveling and exploring, opt for a calm day on board instead, anything re: that is super welcome.
dec 28: jaewon ends up in team red for the day so like, kitchen antics w/ jaewon. he’s a surprisingly good cook (shoutout to grandma park, the real og, for kicking this idiot into the kitchen since a young age)
dec 30: jaewon pulls blue again and... you’d think he wouldn’t be as disgruntled about it? someone pls kick his shins till he accepts going to the spa isn’t such a bad thing sir just relax for one (1) day it will Not kill you
YUANJUN:
dec 26: yuanjun pulls a yellow card cuz dancing king xiao yuanjun sure as hell is fucking involved in this god damn flashmob sUE ME. local enthusiastic dance teacher, will annoy anyone who Doesn’t Want To Be There into having fun and partaking, cutely messing around w people who are having a good time anything you need him to!
dec 26: in their free time after that he’ll def drag someone along to come explore the ship with him so like!!! will they get lost? possibly, but it will be Fun
dec 26: someone decorate sugar cookies w him at the holiday ball pLEASE
dec 27: yuanjun is DEFINTELY exploring the hecc out of taipei, grab dinner w him, go late night shopping w him, sightseeing, ANYTHING
dec 28: he pulls yellow again so you know how it is, photo session at the zoo, you just know he’s going to vibing so hard taking pictures of animals. whether they succeed or not i’m not decided on, im down for either way tbh

Jack spent the walk from his dorm to Gabriel's place putting his sweatshirt on, matching the sweatpants he was already wearing. He felt a little bad, hoping his brother didn't have any actual plans for the night. Because he wasn't stupid, he knew his brother probably dropped things a bit too quickly and far too often if Jack wanted something. But he felt like he was going to suffocate in the dorm room, Netflix somehow making him feel even more lonely. As he reached Gabriel's fraternity house, he hurried past the frat boys, but stopped infront of Gabriel's door; knocking gently.

Gabe was just going to work out that night, he didnt make a lot of plans. Seeing his brother want to come over, Gabe jumped at a chance to see him. Hoping he had maybe listen to him about the boys he was talking to. Hearing the knock, Gabe called for jack to come in. He had a look of concern on his face.
jack
He opened the door and slipped inside, closing it before turning around to face the room. "Hey," he said softly, shoving his hands into the pockets of his sweatpants; feeling a little shy all of a sudden.
gabriel
Gabe twisted his face as he looked at his brother playing shy. He sighed some and then moved to the bed. "Come here. Tell me whats on your mind. You only get like this when you feel guilty."
jack
He walked over, climbing into the bed next to his brother with a sigh. "Not gul.. guilty, just... confused," he said, hugging one of the pillows. He'd talked to one of his best friends online, but there was that distance that had never existed when they lived so close. It wasn't the same, and even though he wasn't sure he wanted to talk about these things with Gabriel, but... here he was.

Gabe nodded some, putting his hand on his brother's knee and taking the pillow. "No hiding, just talk to me. What has you confused?" he wanted to do whatever he could to help his brother out.
jack
Jack had told his brother about the kiss in high school with one of his best friends, but he'd never mentioned his first time during a welcome party at Joie a few weeks ago; not that he really remembered much. "I'm just... do you ever get a cruc.. crush after hooking up with someone?"
gabriel
Gabe sighed some. "I do, yeah...please tell me you're not crushing on Val or Sebastian..." he knew what they were like, Gabe was like that too. He just couldn't stand the idea of his brother getting wrapped up in that mess.
jack
He blushed, not sure if it was because he couldn't disagree or because Gabriel knew; of course he knew. "No," He said quickly, playing with the pillow.
gabriel
"Jack, they're bad news. Thy're all about sex and nothing more, they're not into dating or feelings....please, there was a reason I said to stay clear of them. Promise me, no more sexual things with them." So much concern on his face and in his eyes.
jack
He frowned, hesitating for a moment before sitting up. It wasn't that he didn't see a decent argument in his brother's warning, it was just that he didn't know if he did want more than that either. It was just that he didn't know what to do with the crush. "It is not them," he replied, shaking his head. It was rare for him to lie to his brother, especially face to face, but he couldn't help but feel irritated at the promise the older man wanted him to make. "A guy from class."

Gabe raised his brow to Jack. He knew his brother, he knew he was hiding things and that just made his heart sink. Lying was their sperm donors thing, not theirs. "Jack...." he sighed.
jack
"It's fine," Jack murmured as he climbed out of the bed. Running a hand through his hair, he glanced back at Gabriel. "I think.. I'll just I'll let it pass."
gabriel
Gabe pulled his brother back over to sit. "No leaving, you just got here." He smiled to him. "Listen, whomever it is, he's lucky to have your attention okay? I just...I can't stand the idea of seeing you hurt and you seem like you're hurt now...did I say something wrong?"
jack
He sighed softly, but sat back down. "I'm not a kid," He said, defensively. The thought of Gabriel feeling like he had to specify his warnings when it came to Valerian made him think it was a bad idea. But that was also part of what made it exciting. "You can't decide who I can sleep with or not."
gabriel
Gabe shrugged, then nodded. "You're right I cant, but I can't help that I want to protect you so just know I'm always here, okay?" Pulling him into a hug, "Now is it really some guy from class?"
jack
Jack nodded, shifting slightly in order to hug him back. "Yeah," he murmured, nuzzling his face into Gabriel's chest. He wasn't that much shorter than his brother anymore, but he still managed to that; and it made him feel safe.
gabriel
Gabe kissed his hair, smiling. "Lucky guy to have your attention." he chuckled some. "So did you get a chance to meet the other DnD kids on campus? Are you making plans to hang out with them?"
jack
Lying to his brother made him feel guilty, but he felt like Valerian was a topic best avoided. To be honest about it would be to include details, and he felt mortified at the idea. Especially about his brother knowing those kind of things about him. He nodded, smiling small. "Yeah, I like them."
gabriel
"Yeah? I was hoping you would and I know you're sad about your other friends but I knew you would make new ones easily." Nudging his young brother now. He knew he was missing info, just from small things but he wasn't going to push. If Jack wanted to tell him, then he would.
jack
"Yeah," He said softly, nuzzling further into his chest at the thought. God, he missed his friends. They were the only friends he'd ever had, and now they could barely even manage to keep the group chat active. Still, it made him hold back in college, feeling like he was replacing them. It sucked. Because he wanted so badly to enjoy his time here, without constantly longing for Seattle, and how things used to be.
gabriel
"Good, now I think we're do for a game of mario kart. I know I can beat you now." Gabe handing him a joy stick for the switch as he got his own and turned the system on. "You ready to be creamed?"
jack
Jack snorted at that, moving around to make a nest by the pillows. "You're delus... ional," he said playfully.

Okay so, I need to open up about a few things... and its been difficult to find the words. It really resonated with me the other week when you said you just don't want to disappoint me when it comes to sex, i really felt that and wanted to make you feel like i do not see you as a disappointment because i don't-- but it is complicated because i am disappointed that we aren't as sexually compatible as I'd hope-- but i this is something that is outside of either of our control and so i hate to think you are mentally punishing yourself for something that just is. I think thats why this is so hard for me to talk about, because im so scared of hurting you. I just really don't want to hurt you and i feel like i have a wall up when im around you more so then i have with past ppl I've dated-- specifically a wall up about my own sexuality and sexual desires, i notice i do tend to hold back my thoughts and feelings because I worry i would turn you off or just make you uncomfortable and so i just dont say much in regards to you or honestly just my sexual thoughts in general not towards you--i just worry if i shared my sexual desires it would push you away somehow... idk its a tricky situation and ive struggled with how to even discuss it.

I think its especially hard because i still feel shy about it. The last person i was with was the first time i had ever been open about my bottom Dysphoria and it taught me a lot about myself. It sucks that i feel pretty confident that these desires that would validate my bottom dysphoria are off the table and would make you uncomfortable. Its hard and im too afraid to even ask and have that confirmed because it would hurt me too much.
But i guess i need to be brave and have this tough conversation and express my desires that I'm holding back just to know if any of them are something you'd be down to do and if not its fine. It probably would just be better for me to know rather then continuously wonder and feel sad about it.

actual favorite scene wise though i think id have to pick the scene at the bar. i like the visual nature of mercury's visual distortions. and i also really love mercury's reaction to it. i think just the pacing and expressions are entirely too real. like how he kind of snaps at Penn even though its not Penn's fault exactly. yet, you get why hes snapping cause hes freaking out. and just that little detail makes it a really engrossing scene for me.

QUESTION 2. Besides Mercury and Wednesday, there are two more characters worth discussing: Penn and Julia. Despite seeming normal, Penn seemed to have the best clue of what was going on with Mercury. Who exactly did Penn know that this same thing happened to? Why do you think this person supposedly didn’t make it? How do you think Penn found out about the house where he took Mercury? Was Penn approaching Mercury a coincidence, or was Penn somehow drawn to Mercury because of the impending possession? There is, of course, Julia as well to talk about. What do you think Julia’s past history is with Mercury, especially given she apologized vaguely for something in the past? Do you think Julia will find out about Wednesday, or will Mercury keep it a secret? What role in general do you think Julia will have to play in the story?

Yeah, if memory serves, Mercury was an "I" (introvert, in the character bio) while Penn seems pretty extroverted. That can be awkward. I also liked in that bar scene how if Mercury hadn't been quite so specific, he could have won. ("You have a child" versus specifying the gender.)

Some background first, i was hit from behind whilst stationary in traffic the other week by a works van. the damage was not too sever that i couldn't limp back home (sore and car bashed but still alive) got the other drivers details at the scene and reported the incident to my insurance company. As the accident was not my fault my insurer passed this to their dedicated Non-Fault (NF) accident claim company (i'll not name them at the moment) who in turn provided me with a hire car and collected my car to have it assessed for REPAIR. At no point was writing off the car mentioned. Then i got a call from the garage dealing with my car (NF appointed) a week later telling me of the damage and repair value and that the engineers working for the NF, different company again, were going to deem the car a write off, CAT D as i later found out. Now the fun part - the engineers have made an offer for settlement and to write off of my car, which is a good 500 below what is would cost to replace it with a like-for-like car in my local area (replace cost circa 2.8k-3k) they are adamant they will not repair my car even though the repairs would cost LESS than the write off - because the repair is too close to the market value and they can make a killing on salvage apparently. so fighting this out at the moment. NOW FOR THE QUESTION: They have advised me that should i wish to keep the car after they write it off (which i want to avoid if at all possible) i can accept the settlement and pay them a salvage fee to retain my car. This i understand as technically they buy my car when they write it off and then i have to buy it back. The problem is that they have a flat 30% !!! salvage fee which on their offer would almost negate me being able to get the repairs covered. What i really need to know is if anyone else has been in this position and if there is a maximum salvage fee they can charge - bearing in mind that this is my car to start with - and if there is any way i can make them drop this percentage. Forcing them to drop the percentage might not only let me repair the car after retaining but might also swing in favour of repair instead of write off if they cannot justify such a big payout for themselves. Any help here would be appreciated fast as i'm still bouncing between the parties here to get this resolved. In case your wondering the damage constitutes a bumper rear panel and a kink in the boot floor - VERY repairable.""

Hello and let me thank you in advance. Age: 19 Location: las vegas nevada Length of driving experience: permit at age 17, drivers license at 18, am 19 atm. Clean record no tickets no incidents, no dui's nothing. I am a collage student and i hold a 4.0 gpa Im 19 years old and have purchased my own vehicle 3 months ago Vehicle type: 2005 dodge stratus sxt 4 cylinders ( clean title, only one incident which was a fender bender.) Has had 3 owners, i am the 4th Car had 100k miles its at 105k miles and still prefect have taken good care of it. My current car insurance is Geico, which is the cheapest rate i could find. MY rate is $222.05 ( more then liability) I was wondering if anyone has had children and how did they handle car insurance for them, did you find a better rate, or if your my age how much do they charge you. (i do know that location is a big part as well.) if you can specify location will be much appreciated. If anyone knows a website that can help me lower the cost of car insurance, but has to be more then liability. Thank you for your help.

My boyfriend (and our toddler) have insurance through his employer but it's like $400/month for just the two of them and it doesn't cover much. Hi, I am interested in people's views of the following: A friends daughter is 17 and last Friday passed her driving test to much family celebration. She went out driving to see her friends, grandparents, and to get some experience. On the Monday the family tried to get insurance quotes but hadn't made a decision on which one to go with until Tuesday. Tuesday lunch she went out with three girlfriends and lost control of her car. No-one was seriously hurt but there are some stiff necks, bumps and bruises. She rolled the car after losing control over a hump back bridge. No other vehicles were involved but her own car is written off. The Police were called and paramedics. She is still on Provisional Insurance as the call hadn't been made to change the insurance, mum and dad were just moving money about so they can pay. The Police say she wasn't speeding just lacked experience and was taken by surprise on the road in question in the rain. So the questions for them are: 1. What is the legal position? Neither parent is concerned about making an insurance claim or anything like that. It was one of those awful moments in life and they are not interested in the value of the car just the welfare of the girls. 2. What does she have to present to the Police - I think they said that she would have to present her licence? 3. Do the parents have to tell the insurance company if they don't intend to claim? They are very honest people but don't want to do anything that would unnecessarily impact their daughters ability to move forward. 4. What should they do going forward with her? They would like to get her over the situation by putting her on the road again as they believe that she is a safe driver and has just been very unlucky. When I called my insurance, it was already cancelled 5 days prior and even though they cashed the $20 check, that wasnt even made out to them, they refused to reinstate my policy.
