Tilicho and Thoranga Pass Trek
Tilicho Lake is the world’s highest Lake, situated at 4919 meters of elevation in the Annapurna region of  Nepal and is one of the most spectacular attractions. The challenging trekking path circumnavigates the Annapurna range, dividing Tilicho from Manang and continuing to Thorong la pass (5496m). Our 16 days Tilicho and Thorangla Pass Trek takes you to a natural and religious treasure. The Ramayan, one of Hinduism’s holy books, has also mentioned the Lake, Nilgiri mountain Khangsar, and Muktinath summits. The bluish Lake gently nestles among the white snowy giants, providing a stunning panorama for trekkers and photographers. The Lake will be completely frozen in the winter, providing trekkers unforgettable moments.
Trekking begins from Beshisahar and continues to a lovely Manang village. The famous Annapurna circuit follows rice fields, breathtaking rivers, waterfalls, and magnificent views of Manaslu and Annapurna. The Thakali people live here, and you will fall in love with them because of their distinct culture and hospitality, which are well-known. We will depart from the circuit and follow the trail to Tilicho. After remaining at the Tilicho base camp, which has lodging facilities. We will cross through Thorong la pass on our way back, this trek’s highest point and main attraction. After this, we will continue our Thorang la pass trip, passing through Muktinath-Jomsom on the way down. Muktinath holds great religious significance for both Hindus and Buddhists. Furthermore, we fly back to Pokhara in 30 minutes from Jomsom.

The distance between an airport and your accommodation is just 25 minutes, and the hotel is located in a popular tourist area in Kathmandu. We will talk about the entire journey while having Dinner if time allows.

Today is your trek preparation and a half-day tour of Kathmandu’s historical places. Pashupatinathnath Temple, Bouddhanath Stupa, and Bhaktapur Durbar Square are some places we will visit today. Our tour guide will guide these three cultural heritage sites. The main attractions within the Kathmandu valley are Pashupatinath, a Hindu temple, Boudhanath, a Buddhist stupa, and Bhaktapur, Kathmandu’s oldest palace. You’ll have plenty of time to prepare for your adventure, and our today’s guide can assist you if you need to purchase any equipment.
Day 3: Drive Kathmandu to Chame 9-10 hours (2670m)
After breakfast in Kathmandu, you will take a road to Chame, our trekking starting point. It’s a long drive, and. Chame is the administrative centre of the Manang district. The road to Besisahar is paved for about 5 hours, and the rest is bumpy, yet it passes past lovely waterfalls, jungle, local towns, and scenic terrain. You will gain altitude as well, but you will not feel unwell.
Tumblr media
Day 4: Trek Chame to Upper Pisang (3300 meters) – 6 hrs.
On the first day of hiking, you will enter the tiny valley and walk through a deep forest along the bank of the Marshyangdi River. During our hike, you will witness the beautiful views of hills and mountains. You will reach Upper Pisang after 6 hours of walking. Upper Pisang is a lovely village which is surrounded by some old monasteries. Finally, after setting up your overnight at the hotels in Pisang, we will go for the evening village walk.
Day 5: Trek Pisang to Manang (3,500 meters) – 6 hrs.
Our journey will continue as we go across large hills, jungles, and wetlands. We will pass by small Buddhist stupas, monasteries, and the Lama’s School at Manang village. Manang is the largest settlement in Nepal’s Himalayan range as well as it is popular because of its people, who are ethnic Gurung and Ghale. However, Manang is populated by Buddhist Lamas who migrated from Tibet, Dolpo, and Mustang.
Day 6: On your 6th day of Tilicho and Thorangla Pass Trek, you will acclimate to Manang. Explore around
It’s an acclimatization day for you at a high altitude. We will spend a day in Manang and go sightseeing with your guide. At the same time, we will visit a monastery during this hike and travel to Gangapurna Glacier Lake, located in Manang.
Day 7: Trek Manang to Khangsar Village (3700 meters) for 4/5 Hours
We will continue our journey to Tilicho Lake after acclimating to Manang. From Manang, we will exit through the western gates and takes the path down to the river. After crossing the Khangsar river on the bridge, just below Khangsar village, we will start climbing up to the village. Khangsar village is also known as Nepal’s last village, and here you can see many traditional Tibetan houses. We will spend the night in a locally constructed tea house.
Day 8: Trek Khangsar Village to Tilicho Base Camp (4200meters) for 5 hours
Trek begins on a new trail which takes an entirely different route. As a result, you ascend to a high crest and then descend via uneven slopes on switchbacks to a side valley of the central valley, and a creek runs through it. Hence on the other side, at an elevation of 4200 meters, is a settlement known as Tilicho Base Camp.
Tumblr media
Day 9: Trek to Tilicho Lake (4,949 m) and back down to Tilicho Base Camp (4200m)
Early in the morning, we will begin our climbing. You have to drink plenty of water and eat healthy foods. It takes 3-4 hours to walk from Base Camp to Tilicho Lake. Tilicho Lake, the world’s highest Lake, is freezing in the morning. We will return the same way to Base Camp after spending some time around Tilicho Lake because there are no accommodations in the Tilicho Lake area.
Day 10: Trek Tilicho Base Camp to Yak Kharka (4000 meters) 5/6 hours
While returning from Base Camp, you must maintain high altitude sickness and take a route 400 meters before  Khangsar town, which goes to the old Khangsar town. You will reach Gumsang, and After crossing the old log bridge in the river, you will reach Yak kharka. Yak Kharka’s meaning in English is Yak’s residence. Overnight tea houses are offered here.
Day 11 : Trek Yak Kharka to Thorong Phedi (4,450m) – 5 hrs
After a two-hour ascent, the trail drops to 4,310m, where it crosses the river. We then go to 4,450m Thorong Phedi, where decent guesthouses have recently been built. We can also reach High Camp as an option. The availability of tea houses is a factor, and the guide will decide the day before.
Day 12 : Trek Thorong Phedi to Muktinath (3,800m) passing Thorang-La pass (5,416m)
Today’s walk begins at 4 a.m., to reach the pass by 9 a.m. It is to avoid high wind after midday, which could significantly impact the journey, especially at the Thorung La Pass (5,416m). We climb sharply on a well-defined path that is simple to follow. However, due to the altitude and snow, specific issues may develop. The four-hour journey up to the pass marked with chortens and prayer flags will be rewarded with breathtaking views from the top. Another four hours of travelling will get us to Muktinath, the sacred town. Here for the night.
Day 13: Trek down to Jomsom village via Kagbeni visit (2700m) 5 hours
Muktinath is a sacred site for both Hindus and Buddhists. In the morning, you can visit a holy temple, holy bathing 108 taps, sacred pools, a monastery, and giant statues of Padmasambhava. After this, we will spend most of the way down to Jomsom along the road. You can also take a Jeep ride from Muktinath to Jomsom. Visiting Kagbeni and Jharkot villages along the way is worthwhile, and walking down is more enjoyable than driving back.
Day 14: Fly Jomsom to Pokhara
It is a very early flight. You can either have an early breakfast in Jomsom or leave for Pokhara too. The flights in Jomsom are very unpredictable due to the weather. The weather always has an impact on aviation during the flight to Jomsom. Once you get on the plane in 15 minutes, a small plane carrying a maximum of 17 people will return you to Pokhara. A memorial visit in Pokhara begins after settling into the hotel and having enough time to rest. Boating at Fewa Lake, visiting the International Mountain Museum, driving or hiking to the World Peace Stupa, visiting David Fall, and visiting the Gupteswor Caves are things to do. You can finish all of these locations or do some rest.
In addition, the distance between Pokhara and Kathmandu is 200 kilometres. Therefore, it takes 7 hours to travel by tourist bus or private automobile. It would be best to relax for half a day in Pokhara before flying to Kathmandu in the afternoon. You might enjoy this route if you enjoy long adventure trekking. Tripura Travelcations offers you supper in a traditional Nepali cultural restaurant in Kathmandu in the evening.

this is my current project: It is only half done, I will post the steps too.
it's based on a kloketen creationes video:
youtube
is using Himagurumi, a 50% cotton 50% acrylic yarn by Himalaya (Turkish company), and it was created with amigurumi in mind, but they are awesome for this too. I will try crocheting something from them too, and post that as well. I just got my ordered stash last week, and I am experimenting with the colors.
Did I mention they have a great selection of colors?

Damian lovers (and by extension of this ask, damijon lovers) don't explore the fact that Damian was extremely cultured for the majority of his life before coming to live with Bruce. Like that 10 yr old is experiencing culture shock!! Ofc he's gonna act out and disobey authority figures he doesn't even know
Yes he had rules and obligations as an Al ghul, but he traveled and saw so much of the world that most,if none of the robins never got a chance to see at their ages... Then he's expected to be by his Father's side in order to learn and grow.. NOT TO SAY HE HASN'T!!! but to be stuck in such a gloomy place like Gotham when he grew up in such a beautiful island surrounded by the very flora and flauna that the Al Ghuls strive to protect...
The damijon part is where Damian shows Jon how other parts other than the Western world work, showing him all the wonderful cultures and history he's seen throughout his life before him, before his father. How integral this is to his identity as an Al Ghul and now he wants his closest person to be able to experience it with him... Jon showed him how to adapt to western culture when they were kids and now Damian shows him what the world has always looked like to him,how hard it was to let go of his cultured past when coming to America
I don’t talk about the culture shock because I admit to not knowing a whole lot of how culture shock works to be honest. Like I know if I took me as I am now and dropped me into China I’d be extremely confused and lost as to how things functioned around me but to survive I’d have to pick up on it and Damian’s a smart kid I think it wouldn’t be too bad for him…?
I think Damian functions entirely differently from a normal person no matter where he is, lol, like what Damian al ghul has experienced and isn’t common for any child… ever… so is it culture shock as much as it is… constantly perpetual states of shock?
His whole character is him relearning everything. Or maybe, I am misinterpreting it? Is culture shock a bad thing? or is it just an interesting concept?
Is it a trauma?
I’ll take it as an interesting concept for now and just discuss the damijon part of it because that’s what I’m good at.
Do you realize that Jon has grown up on a farm his whole childhood? LOL. Do you realize that Jon Kent would be fascinated by an ice dispenser??
Could you imagine the awe and ooing he’d do going to Nanda Parbat? The Himalay? He’d be so out of it LMAO. Oh, that would make for such a cute interaction of Damian showing him around his culture and him knowing nothing, it’d also be so damn romantic.
Even then the aesthetic would be gorgeous, that’s why I love Damian Al ghul, imagine Damian Al Ghul taking his superman to his beautiful private chambers to indulge in romantics for a while? just so cute.

Remembering Achala Sachdev, Hindi cinema’s one of the most respected screen mothers, on her birth anniversary today (03/05/1920).
Achala was born in Peshawar in 1920. She started her acting journey with a movie called "Fashionable Wife" in 1938. Later, she moved to Pune after marrying Clifford Douglas Peters, who owned a factory in Bhosari.
Her career in the Hindi film industry began early, and she also worked with All India Radio starting from the 1940s. Throughout the 1950s, she appeared in many Hindi films, gaining fame for playing maternal roles. One of her most famous roles was as Balraj Sahni’s wife in the hit movie "Waqt" from 1965, where she was part of the iconic song “Ae Meri Zohra Jabeen”. Many fans started calling her Zohra Jabeen after that.
She acted in several memorable films, including "Azaad", "Arzoo", "Amanat", "Waqt", "Mera Naam Joker", "Julie", "Karm", "Haqeeqat", "Himalay Ki God Mein", "Hum Panchhi Ek Daal Ke", "Prem Pujari", "Hare Rama Hare Krishna", "Chandni", "Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge", "Kabhi Kushi Kabhe Gham", and "Kal Ho Naa Ho". Additionally, she appeared in English movies like "Nine Hours to Rama" and the Merchant Ivory film "The Householder".
