I'm a classically-trained flautist and singer. As part of various groups, I've played big halls whose names you'd probably know if you lived on the West Coast of America. I've made money playing music. I've done studio work, writing, and arranging -- the latter since I was 14.

In spite of it all, I don't find it necessary to impress people with self-consciously obscure taste in music that doesn't feed my soul.
You shouldn't either. Like what you like. Be who you are. Take courage. Be free.

How 1D/Harry affected my life Warning:Cringy
I ‘discovered’ One Direction while I was watching youtube in 2011. I was literally only 12 and realized what a great group they were. I watched all of their tour diaries and became such a fan that I cried when I heard them on the radio the first time. I wasn’t embarrassed and I might be now but I cried the first time I heard Sign of the Times, so obviously I’m not. The next year, me and my four best friends ‘dressed up’ as the boys for our Christmas Open House (I was Harry and I literally painted ‘Hipsta Please’ on it.) We had goody bags with 1D themed items along with their audition tapes playing in the background, we were hoping to give the full experience. In 2013, when Haylor was a thing I was confused, I loved Taylor and Harry was my #1 so of course I was like yeah okay, I like them together. But now? I know it wasn't a good thing and I’m glad it’s over and Harry is okay. That year for Christmas (2013,) my Mom got me a life-size poster of Harry (I cried when I got it, but that’s not the point.) In 2015, One Direction came to my ‘concert’ city and I was devastated, I was at volleyball camp and I knew my parents couldn’t afford to take me to the concert too, again, I was devastated. Flash forward a couple of years, when Harry released his debut solo album I preordered that bitch (I have Apple Music so I could stream it but buying it felt better.) Now my best friends and I are going to the ‘premiere’ of Dunkirk in our city tomorrow and I couldn’t be more excited.
There are people who are bigger fans, people who have been able to go see every concert, meet their favs, tell them how proud they are. I haven’t been that lucky but I’ve had a fucking great time standing by and watching these boys succeed. I love Harry Fucking Styles and I can say this fandom never ceases to amaze me with their incredible love and support for both Harry and the rest of the boys. It’s been a roller coaster but I wouldn’t change it for anything and, honestly, I’m going to continue to support these idiots for as long as possible.
