They look at each other and smile for a moment, Max’s eyes trailing down to Nick’s neck. Immediately propping himself up with his elbow.

“Oh shit…” He muttered.

“What?” Nick asked, his smile slowly fading.

Max didn’t respond, only softly rubbing his fingers along the other’s neck. Nick sighs and grabs his phone, turning on his camera and looking at his neck. His jaw dropped. Purple spots, that almost looked like bruises, were along his neck. It wasn’t dark, and there wasn’t that many, but it was definitely noticeable.

“I’m sorry, Nick.” Max apologized, sitting back.

“It’s fine! I’ll just find something to cover it up with! The only problem is that Matt of Chris would never leave me alone about this if they saw it.” Nick replied, throwing his legs over his bed and getting up.

He walks to his bathroom, Max not too far behind. “Madi left some makeup here last time she was over, we can use some of that.”

“Does she just leave makeup here?” Max asked.

“Yeah, unexpected sleepovers happen way to often.” Nick shrugged, opening one of the drawers and pulling makeup out. “You’re good at art, right?”

“Yeah, painting! Not makeup!” The curly haired boy exclaimed.

“It’s pretty much the same thing, you know more than me.” He said.

“Okay, we’ll yellow cancels out purple.” Max muttered, finding a yellowish liquid makeup and pouring it onto a sponge and gently dabbing it onto the purple marks.

“Okay, now we just need to find some makeup close to your shade…” He trailed off, looking through the makeup and finding a light concealer. He places some onto his finger and onto one of the spots, a little lighter but it wouldn’t be extremely noticeable. “This shade works! Now I just need to blend it out and we should be good!”

“Hell yeah!” Nick cheers, trying to stay still so Max can finish. “Wait, how long until the hickeys will be gone?”

“Uhhh, I don’t know! Just keep doing this until it’s not noticeable?” Max suggested.

“Ehh, good enough for me. I don’t feel like googling that right now.” The blonde shrugged.

A little later, they continued laying in bed until Max’s phone went off. “Shit, I have to go. My little sister is getting into some crazy ass shit.”

“What does that mean anymore?” Nick asked, laughing a bit.

“I mean, she sent the code word in all caps. She doesn’t just send that for no reason. I’ll fill you in on everything once I find out what dumbass shit she’s gotten into this time.” Max smiles, giving a quick kiss to Nick. “And I’ll be sure to go easier on your neck, it’s clear that it’s sensitive.” He teased.

“Ha-ha!” Nick yelled sarcastically.

After Max left, Nick decided to go to the kitchen to see what his brothers are up to, he’s been hanging out with Max since last night and hadn’t really talked to them because of that. He walks out his room and just as he suspected, they were both in the kitchen on their phones.

“Oh hey, you’re boy toy finally left.” Chris comments.

“Okay, don’t call him that.” Nick says.

“Well, what did you guys do all last night?” Matt teases.

“We stayed up all night watching Tim Burton movies. You guys are weird.” The blonde replied, getting a Little Debbie snack out the cupboard.

“Mhmmm, sure.” Chris added.

“What it with you guys? You both always act weird after Max leaves.” Nick raised a brow.

“It’s nothing! You just seem kinda flustered.” He replied.

Barring what the show decided to ultimately do, Eddieana and BuckTaylor were relationships that actually....made sense. (Not saying I liked them, bc I was indifferent at best toward EA and I hate Taykay's fucking guts. rot in hell w ur "journalism" bOsS BAbE). But like Taylor has had the most development of all Buck's LIs and they've had the most development TOGETHER (I don't count Tommy in this really bc he's so new, no raw data to compile) so like it MADE SENSE and they could have easilyyyyyy written the show to go BT endgame. the finale was overall so good as an episode, where the fuck was this energy for the rest of the show??? it's like they put all the action and tension into just this and ran out of it for the rest of the show. i hope the show gets renewed so i can see my babies walker, leah, and aryan again but i'm scared to see what else they (rick riordan and co) would fuck up.

If you're still up for talking about your Spider-Man AU, I would love to hear more about your ideas for Connors! I really liked that you kept him and Peter having a close relationship from university (something that I wish had been true for the game, but oh well) and that he seems to be an actual character with his own thoughts and agency rather than just showing up to move the plot forward and drop exposition, so I'd love to know more about things like his backhistory and relationship with Peter, what's going on between him and Norman and the symbiote, the smaller focus you mentioned regarding his conflict over what he did, and anything else you want to talk about!

I feel the same, it was a shame that Peter and Connors didn't know each other personally outside the whole Spider-Man - Lizard shebang. Which is why I wanted Connors and Pete to have a closer relationship, so Connors saving Peter didn't seem out of obligation, but more so of him being emotionally invested in Peter's well-being. Him saving Peter using the symbiote was more of a "spur of the moment" thing when he wasn't thinking clearly, all he wanted was to keep Peter alive since he grew on him during their university days, and he was something like a nephew to him. If Peter had time, he stayed with Connors after classes helping him out in the lab and worked as his teacher assistant for a short while. (ngl I took that from the game because I thought it was Connors that Peter helped with teaching before the second game got released)

Curt and his family were brought into the bunker by Norman who assigned him to a project where he was supposed to study the symbiotes to be able to defeat them and/or use them as weapons. He's conflicted about it, but he knows that if he refuses to cooperate with him, he'll kick him and his family out of the bunker. The safety of Martha and Billy is his top priority, which unfortunately results in Norman having some control over him. But he doesn't have much choice since all of them being kicked out of the bunker would most likely result in their deaths. Despite Norman acting all like "ahhh I built these bunkers, so humanity and our brilliant minds survive" he's still a manipulative corpo weasel.

Him giving the symbiote to Peter didn't halt the project - quite the opposite, it pushed it further into the "using them as a weapon" direction and before Peter left, he thoroughly scanned him and asked him to do some physical exams. Throughout the story, Peter's group would discover other bunkers with scientists and people living in them, so he'd stay in contact with Peter and monitor the symbiote's effect on his body while simultaneously working on a "cure" on how to separate them without killing either of them. The cure is not what Norman asked of him to do, but it's something he's working on in secret out of guilt.

So, despite being a side character, he's pretty important. Would he have successfully created a cure? Hmm maybe. But it wouldn't be the deus ex machina he was hoping for. That's my way of saying "idk if I want a happy or sad ending"

I have had the WEIRDEST dream... not that I'm complaining and you'll see why in a sec. I remember thinking, in this weird completely uncharacteristic way for me but I suppose characteristic for Andrena, that Kowloon (her husband) wouldn't have waited this long.

so I just kinda wiggle my tail (which I didn't even notice I had up until then!!) and then pounce at him, fucking pin his arms behind him and cover his mouth with my hand. that was the most vivid part, I distinctly remember the warm breaths from his nose hitting my hand, how uneven they were, how they quickened when he realized what was happening. another thing I noticed was that he was noticeably smaller than me....I think irl I'm about his height but Andrena is actually pretty tall, so it was weird seeing the height difference!! I remember thinking that this would be easy, then.

he struggled like a real BITCH in my arms, glaring back at me with just the most beautiful expression of defiance I've ever seen, and I just started laughing bc I was so happy. idk why. i pin him to the wall and I laugh even harder at the fierce way hes looking at me, and I start asking him "waar is zij, baby, waar is zij?" that means 'where is she.' I think I was referring to Mary, and tbh idk if she was dead at this time or if she just wasn't there. but yeah it made him even angrier, he thrashed around like crazy, and I was like, "awww" and laughing bc idk. it was funny to me or maybe to Andrena idk irl I would not have the balls to do this I promise. and I kept saying "het is goed" (which may or may not be influenced by smth I read once, HMM.) to him while I flicked the stinger in my tail out and OUGHHH. the fear in his eyes when he saw it. it was beautiful. I could feel his mouth trying to open under my hand but I just dug my claws in (Andrena has claws yes next question) and warned him to shut up.

so I sting him in his thigh, and he makes this sweet little grunt bc hi it probably hurts and his body jolts for a second there. but this BITCH keeps on fighting, trying to kick out at me, so I sting him a few more times, and he kinda starts slowing down, his eyes get ADORABLY blinky and sleepy, and I was like "awwhaha see you're prettier when you're quiet" and he STILL attempts to glare at me. I sting him one last time and then start slamming his head against the wall repeatedly, and fuck man it sounded like it HURT. like I remember being slightly alarmed but having no intention of stopping, not until he stopped moving. he gave me this fun little ditzy look, like he was confused or exhausted or rlly in pain I'm not sure, and I kinda bring him closer to me so he falls limp against me and I say "there's just a king across the water that really wants you dead, do you know him? yesss I think you know him"

which like. holy shit it fits perfectly well with Andrena's story bc she's canonically a Jacobite. so good on my brain for being consistent!

then I lifted him up in my arms, he was REALLY fucking light, and I was like. I need to go show my husband

AND THEN I WOKE UP!! which was so disappointing bc I was rlly looking forward to manhandling him while he was conked out :(( but well I can't complain... I got my whumpy dream with him and it got pretty far

Finished the Raven cycle and I had a lot of thoughts but I actually can’t remember anything that happened apart from very specific scenes???? Also I am very heavily in favour of Gansey as he is definitely my absolute favourite but the other two are quite horrible to him for a lot of the book considering 9/10 times he’s genuinely trying to help and they are aware he’s trying to help and doesn’t mean to flash the cash and I just ???? Don’t get it?? Maybe cos I am a fully developed woman in her late 20s and I would just not let someone I care about speak to me like they do sometimes no matter how upset you are, especially if I’m trying to help you and the issue isn’t my fault to start with 😂 or maybe because I relate a lot to Gansey with feeling like my friends don’t need me like I need them so maybe I’m just projecting hahahaha

Adam especially is horrible to Gansey quite a few times where I just thought he was way out of line, even including when eventually Gansey had enough and snapped at him and was horrible back and Adam was all FUCK YOU and left the car and I feel awful for thinking it but the entire time I was like ?? So you don’t like being treated this way but you treat Gansey like this a LOT especially at the start ?? Hmm. Just ahh I love them, ronan and Adam were developed well too, genuinely enjoyed both couple arcs neither felt forced or ingenuine or too plot devicey (although ofc bluesey is a huge main plot point)

OH but smth else i did remember is that i found it interesting that zhongli chose to call xiao by alatus. i know a lot of people tend to subscribe to the hc that alatus is xiao's true name (it's a pretty strongly supported hc that i refuse to subscribe to, personally) n that his weakness is his true name (also pretty supported by the text in canon n a hc i do subscribe to), so i find it interesting that, if alatus is xiao's true name (and secret weakness), zhongli would address him by such. one could say it's just his way of being more polite to someone who served in the archon war, but like idk. i just find it a bit odd and worth noting

a while back i was chillin w/my friends n making one of those alignment charts that's like "distinguished/functional/disaster" vs. "gay/bi/lesbian" (except we also added ace/pan/straight for a bit more nuance) n it was like "well, we have charas w/straight vibes from mond, inazuma, and sumeru. what abt liyue? do any of the liyue characters have straight vibes?" and the answer was no. liyue gay as hell.
