As two booked and busy A-list celebrities, you, a well-loved soloist, and Lisa often didn’t cross paths due to differing schedules, but of course it was impossible not to know one another.

However...

On the off occasions in which you couldn't avoid one another, you couldn't help help yourself from looking over and catching a glance at the charismatic dancer.

Lisa Manoban was an ace on her own, it was impossible for you to not be curious.

In a somewhat bold moment on your part during one of the stages you both attended, you'd given a hefty tip to one of the make-up artists to have them slip your number to Lisa. Now, did you expect Celine's ambassador and one of YG's greatest gifts to respond? No. But you were oh so ecstatic when she did.

A couple hidden texts turned into late night calls to sneaking out late to get lost in the city together. Until, one night, you nervously told her that you saw her as more than just a friend or industry colleague but as you continue to ramble, the pressure starting to bubble to the surface. Before you could say anything more, she'd forcefully pulled you down to her lips, giggling at how silly and awkward you had become for her.

That's where it began really.

It wasn't long before she began appearing on your Instagram posts and you two were getting caught together on, what the media labelled as, friendly dates. It wasn't surprising though, YG and your company paid a healthy amount for your relationship to be concealed by the media outlets. That was in spite of your pleas to make you and Lisa's relationship public.

Both your companies had believed that it was better for both your public images if you stayed nothing more than close friends. It frustrated you and Lisa to no end always being forced to hide away.

There was no hope of changing that until one night.

Lisa is out later than you to prepare for BLACKPINK's comeback. You, on a brief hiatus to be able to support your girlfriend more actively, were sitting in your shared home, Love in your arms as you wait for the dancer to come home. Under your breath, you hum the melody of the group's song.

Suddenly, Lisa bursts through the front door, excited eyes meeting yours with a bright and wide smile on her lips. You can't help but melt at the sight of your girlfriend so happy and a warm, melty feeling sits in your stomach as the dog in your arms jumps to his owner.

You watch fondly as Lisa leans down to pet the excited puppy, a smile etching onto your lips as you stand up, "Welcome home, beautiful."

You watch her cheeks flush before she barrels over to you, her arms finding their way around your neck instantly. You nuzzle your nose into her hair as you tighten your embrace, quickly leaving a peck on her cheek before you whisper, "I missed you."

Lisa pulls away, her eyes scanning each feature on your face as she pulls a hand to caress your cheek gently. She leans in to press her lips onto yours, excited eyes still staring into yours.

"I had a meeting with corporate today." You quirk a brow, knowing full well how much Lisa hates those restrictive and strict meetings. You urge her to continue as she giggles to herself. "And they gave me the best news in the world!"

You tilt your head to the side, playful smile on your face. "They're finally approving take your pet to work day?" Lisa rolls her eyes and shoves your shoulder, her smile never wavering. You can't help but feel a twinge of excitement. If the news has made her this happy it had to be good.

As you open your mouth to speak, she finally rushes out, "They talked to your CEO and they're finally allowing us to go public!" You sputter over your words, cheeks becoming sore with how wide your smile is as you feel pricking at the back of your eyes as tears.

"We...I..." You cup her cheeks in your hands, squishing her cheeks lovingly. Staring at her lovingly and speechlessly.

You watched as her own eyes shimmered with a gleam of tears of pure joy. You lean down and take her lips, the contact light and innocent yet conveying everything you wanted to say in that moment.

You press your forehead pressing against hers as you laugh softly, thumb brushing over her cheekbone. "No more hiding."

Lisa nods before pulling away to rummage around her bag. "Now we just need to shoot a PR video for the official announcement."

You quirk a brow up curiously as the dancer lifted her phone up triumphantly. "What kind of video exactly, beautiful?"

You were standing behind her, arms wrapping around her waist, almost instantaneously as she angled her phone camera to catch both of your bodies. Satisfied with the placement she turns around, "Well, they thought this would be an opportune moment for the Pink Venom challenge..."

Your girlfriend continued to speak but you were frozen in place while you stomach dropped. When she realized that you were no longer listening she giggled and squeezed your hand.

"You know the steps I assume..."

Silence.

Curiously, Lisa leans back into your embrace, lips jutting into a faux pout. "You ignoring me?" She asked playfully.

"Lisa listen...I-I'm happy that their finally allowing us to do this but..." Lisa turns to you, her expression turning grim and almost pained as she pulled away from you. Her hand on your chest, pushing you away. The dancer's voice cold as she echoed back, "...But?"

"I...uh...well..." You pause, scratching the back of your neck, "I don't know how to dance."

There's another silence as you shyly looked down at your feet.

"But you're an idol?" Lisa asks, hands on her hips. You smile at her sheepishly, swinging your arms from side to side. "I was trained under my company for my voice and instruments. But I wasn't trained to dance..."

It wasn't common that Korean pop idols weren't the well-rounded celebrities their fans put up on pedestals. Usually they were trained to appeal to most, if not all, types of music-related talents. However it wasn't unheard of. Lisa just didn't expect you to be one of the select few.

For a moment, your girlfriend is stunned but before you can say anything more, you hear her melodious laughter before she smiles at you. Your heart jumps to life in your chest. She approaches you, grin still in-tact as she takes your face in her hands.

The dancer composes herself before she speaks, "You are nothing short of amazing, Y/F/N." She pauses, nuzzling her nose against yours. You stare at her stunned before she stands beside you.

"It's easy, I promise." She nudges you gently, "I promise I won't be as harsh with you as my other students."

You throw your head back laughing before she begins to speak and demonstrating the movements gently. Her hands skimming lightly over your body. You flush as her touch finds more and more skin.

"Not too bad, N/n." Lisa notes before moving to the phone, preparing the audio. She looks back at you, excitement still glimmering in her eyes, "Are you ready?"

The fear in your body began to dissipate as she tilted her head curiously, waiting for your response.

You were lucky to have her.

"Let's do it, gorgeous." You say confidently to which Lisa grins like a child on Christmas day before she hits the record button.

The music blares as Lisa plays around in front of the camera with you before her expression melts into a serious idol persona. It amazes you, but t the same time distracts you from the dance.

She watches you as she begins recording on the app, her movements are slow as she watches you do the moves of the song nervously. You mess up a handful of times as you both move in front of the camera but slowly you find the beat.

Albeit your dancing was still a little sloppy.

As the song comes to an end, she slowly shuffles backwards and flourishes you with a proud smile. You laugh and hide your face to which she takes your flushed face in her hands. "See! You're a natural. You did amazingly, baby!" She praises before you take her hands in yours.

You smile and mutter a soft, "I love you."

She smiles at you as she leans in to peck your lips gently, as she pulls away you notice how soft and adoring her eyes are. It made your insides putty.

Before you can relish in the moment though, a flash of realization passes her, she turns around to stop recording. Double checking it to see if it was clear what you two were conveying. She nods off and emails it to management for final approval.

Instantly, they respond with a simple message and informed her that it would be posted shortly. She turned around still beaming up at you before she jumped into your awaiting arms.

You two laugh before you dramatically fall into the couch behind you. Both your phones ping over and over again, Lisa pulls away from your embrace to look at the analytics and comments from the short video that was accumulating.

You watch her smile at the supportive messages and comments of your ship name before you pluck the device from her hand. Your other hand finding it's way onto her cheek before you pull her into a deep and loving kiss.

Briefly, you pull away and smirk down at your dazed girlfriend. "You know, dancing may not be my strong suit..." You lean down and catch her lips again, the kiss much needier than the last.

Lisa whines softly as you pull away, your mouth a mere breath away. Lips quirking up into a smirk, "But I am good at other things."

The dancer in your arms visibly flushes under your intense gaze. "I mean...we are due for a celebration."

Your quick to pull her up from the couch and carrying her to your shared bedroom, leaving your phones to blow-up from your announcement.

CBS Ghosts - Viking Funeral - Fountain vs Roof Fight

Warning, Spoilers may appear.

LMAO. Sam's putting on a show about how great the fountain would be while Trevor's nodding along, but SERIOUSLY SAM - the outside of the house should probably be fixed first.

I do like her little show though because it's a lot like Trevor's showing when he tells a story and I low-key ship them.

Why isn't Jay bringing up the obvious issue - which is that the house doesn't even look good and you're worried about a fountain.

OTOH, I do love that he says "no one loves a fancy fountain more than I do" because I wonder if Jay has a thing for fancy fountains.

I'm really glad that Jay points out the obvious - THE ROOF IS MORE IMPORTANT. How is this even a debate?

LMAO though, at Alberta - who she talking to? I mean, it makes sense that he would point out the Roof's importance. You have to get structural issues done before focusing on aesthetics.

I love that the ghosts are clearly on Jay's side - they're like "Yes, you're right" - this is important later.

The ghosts celebrating her losing the fight and her response being something that Jay could misinterpret.

Look at these responses:

Trevor does some sort of "Oh snap" thing.

Flower is doing a dance.

Sass is a little like "come on"

Pete's nodding and elbowing Alberta.

Alberta is clapping and dancing.

And Isaac's leaning back like "oh yeah".

We can't really see Thor or Hetty, but like the pure excitement and the way that they cheer is just too good.

"HAHA - DING DING - Oh YOU NAILED THAT!" - the best.

It's just so good. I can't imagine how hard it is for Sam to concentrate on her argument because she's literally hearing 8 other people say she's wrong. 1 vs 9 I'm surprised she didn't care.

He's Like I HAVE A VOICE DAMNIT - We're meant to be a team. AND THAT'S GOOD, but you did make this choice to live there without her.

I love seeing this moment from Jay's POV. To him, she's yelling at no one.

AW JAY, he's like "Oh right that's a thing - they're here?"

He's just trying to get used to the reality that there are people in his life that he can't see or hear. That's rough.

Poor Jay.

LMAO - the ghosts are finally able to be seen and heard and Sam's like "YALL ARE ANNOYING"

Which, fair. She deserves to feel like she can argue with her husband without their commentary.

Aw though, the ghosts are hurt. BUT

Trevor vs Sass comes up here:

Trevor says it's a little harsh, while Sass says she's not wrong.

It's interesting that Hetty agrees with Trevor and Alberta is like "humph, me annoying."

Jay tries to ignore them. And focuses on the fight.

But what he says here isn't really fair.

Technically, yes, Sam wanted the move more than Jay did, however, JAY made the decision on his own while she was in a coma. He didn't wait for a discussion so throwing it on her is UNFAIR.

Even though he is saying the truth - what he's giving up will affect them in the next two seasons, BUT it's not fair to put that solely on him.

Thor's right - he's absolutely playing a guilt card and that's as unfair as what Sam does next.

Sam knows what he's doing and decides - "Oh, you throw that on me - fine, I'll lie about our new housemates".

She says that the ghosts (WHO CLEARLY DONT) agree with her to make her point and it's hilarious that she can do this so casually.

I wonder how many other arguments she's won by saying that the ghosts are on her side.

(I can't believe this worked) mainly because it's so much more important to do the roof.

This is all of the ghosts reactions in one gif, but I wanted to break it apart so the individual ones are below.

I love that Flower and Sass are making a similar reaction like "OH yeah - gasps/chuckle". It's so great - we don't see much of them together, but I bet as nature lovers, it makes sense that they would bond over that.

Then there's Alberta and Isaac together. Alberta looking at Isaac, gleefully talking about how Sam's making things up and Isaac looks quite surprised.

LMAO TREVOR - he finds her manipulating Jay by lying as hot - you should probably look into that Bro.

I love that Hetty seems - impressed - that Sam's got that ruthless Woodstone blood.

It's interesting that we don't see Pete - either here or in the cheering scene below - I think this is the moment Pete starts getting an attachment to Jay.

Given his bad marriage - he was probably always the loser in these type arguments and is probably feeling bad for Jay that he doesn't know that the ghosts actually sided with him and he's right about it. This comes up later in the next scene, but it's very curious.

Sam knows that pulling out the ghosts makes it 9 to 1 in her favor, so clearly she wins this. You can tell by them sitting down and the way Jay's like "yeah, I'm a pushover".

AHHH the ghosts' reactions. I broke this gif down, too.

Alberta - the singer gives a chef's kiss and a clap.

Isaac with his "Bravo" and clapping his hands the way that he would have in life.

Flower and her little smile and clap.

Sass and his soft nodding and clap.

Trevor and his reaching his hands out to clap at her.

And then Hetty's slight clap and grin.

DESPITE THE FACT that the ghosts were on JAY's side - they're cheering for Sam. And I think it's because they appreciate that she was underhanded to get her way. Which makes the fight interesting.

SAM - you won! Why are you the one leaving? Would it not make more sense for Jay to storm out? (If I were Jay, I would).

LMAO - Alberta's like ... "well, I guess there's paint to look at"

DAMN can you imagine wanting to watch paint dry? Why not go for a walk or ask Sam for TV? Like ... paint?

But the funny part is Pete's Smile - he's like a little excited.

OMG I love the looks on their faces when they realize that their entertainment is over and file in line to leave.

BUT the best part is Sass and Trevor both having that head tilt up like "GOD WHY". It's too funny.

Anyway, this was fun. Jay is clearly outnumbered in that house. He deserves better.

Circus Baby headcanons part 2. Her dynamics with other characters

I'm gonna start off with characters from SL then move into other characters I believe she would have intriguing dynamics with.

Ballora: I thought about these two and their dynamic for a while and I finally have it. Their dynamic is that of Respect and Hatred, these two have such opposing views on almost everything, but they can't help but understand and respect the other. They have mutual disdain for each other but they are also the moms and brains of the group so the only one they can confide in is the other. This whole dynamic idea comes from Night 4 where Baby just roasted Ballora in the scooping room like right in front of Ballora. You know if ballora was active she would have given Baby the hardest side eye you ever saw.

Funtime Freddy: I don't believe Ft. Freddy and Baby would ever get along, they don't like hate each other or anything just out of all the funtimes Baby would get along with Freddy the least. I like to think of Baby's whole dislike for Ft. Freddy comes from his very homicidal nature. Baby has a will to kill, just a “controlled” one, a moral code in murder if you will.

Funtime Foxy: I think their relationship is neutral “friendship” like I think they barely even see each other in all honesty. It's like she would only really know Foxy after they become Ennard. So their dynamic is “You like them, till you share a living space”.

Bidybabs: they're her kids. This isn't up for debate, they're her kids. You take them away from her and you die.

Minireenas: they like to climb on Baby, Baby's like ‘Ballora come get your kids’ whenever they decide Baby is a jungle gym. Other than that she's fine with them.

Elizabeth: I've said this once and I'll say it again Elizabeth and Baby's relationship is Mutualism. I have always adored this idea and will forever love it, it's just interesting to see the possibilities open due to this dynamic idea. Liz being what helps Baby (kinda?) blend in with people when they were Ennard, and Baby being the means for Liz to get revenge on her shity “dad” and since Baby also wants Afton dead it's a win-win for both, truly. Of course their relationship would be super rocky in the beginning, but it would smooth over with time.

Yenndo: I'd like to think this man freaks Baby the fuck out, like he stares at her in the darkness of the facility, he's just barely visible in the poor lighting and they both just have this silent staring contest.

Lolbit: Lolbit just appears in Circus Gallery every now and then and says “Hi <3” than Leaves. Baby thinks she is hallucinating or just finally lost it.

Bonnet: I don't know if either of them know the other exists…

Electro-Bab: the bonus 3rd bab that Baby has, they have the same dynamic as she does with the babs. But Electro-bab is in the shadows like ‘mama I threw up.’

Bonuses:

The Marionette: I've seen people have these two either hate each other or love each other, so I propose frenemies.

Also I will bestow this funny convo. I feel they would have.

Puppet: YOU KILLED A KID?!?!

CB: …accidentally.

Puppet: WHAT DIFFERENCE DOES IT MAKE?!

Roxy: the robo guardians and their little child they adopted 100% legally.

The Mimic: their dynamic is “We will never ever meet canonically, but we would have a fun time just judging the shit out of our fandom.”

Freddy Fazbear: “our circus, our monkeys, our circus, our monkeys.” two tired leaders of 3 goofs, but they are their goofs so they're happy.

rant time!

kpop reaction content isn't exactly new (at least as far as I know) but it does seem to have kind of boomed in the last... two-three years I think. I remember there being only a handful of relevant kpop reaction content creators on youtube, some more popular that the others, but still there weren't a ton of them around. and I guess it makes sense because kpop itself has gotten much more popular and widely known outside of just [REDACTED] and among a wider age range I'd say.

but nowadays if you look up “X group - Y title track reaction” you will find tens, if not hundreds of reaction videos (especially if its a well known group) ranging from channels with hundreds of thousand subs to small account with a couple of hundred views on their reaction videos. and I just find that so weird.

like... especially for channels that do reactions as their main (and only) content, I find it extremely difficult to believe that after a certain point there is any authenticity behind these reactions. these big reaction channels are out there reacting to damn near every relevant kpop group's comebacks (and there are a LOT of them) and every single reaction is generally positive and often very enthusiastic.

aside from the fact that logically and statistically it's impossible for someone to like every title track being released, even if they're all objectively good (which they're not), because no one likes every genre and every style of music, there is basically no creativity involved in creating this type of content which makes it very dull both for the creator and the consumer after a while.

on top of that, this type of content has created a really toxic environment around expressing opinions and criticism toward kpop groups and kpop music. I just came across a video from one of these bigger (while also being newer) creators talking about how she's not happy with the content she's been making for the past year. she said that it's extremely overwhelming trying to keep up with every comeback when everyone expects you to react to their fave's CB and after a while sitting and reacting to music videos becomes repetitive especially when you're not even allowed to truly be yourself and express your opinions. she said she can't even talk about having a bias in a group because she would get tons of hate comments and dms about ppl bashing her for not having a different bias. I can't imagine how people would react to a reaction video creator saying she doesn't like a comeback or even a certain element in the song/mv.

I used to love kpop reaction videos back when I had just discovered them and they were not as big. like I genuinely get the appeal. seeing someone who's not a teenage girl (which is what stereotypically the general public thinks kpop stans are) is pretty validating. and back then there were like 'vocal coach reacts' or 'producer reacts' etc. seeing the reaction of "experts" analyzing different parts of a song/mv was really interesting for someone like me with zero knowledge of any of the technical stuff. and I also understand that they do contribute to promoting groups and comebacks to a certain degree. but it has just gone too far, in my opinion.

idk maybe I’ve just gotten old and lost the will to enjoy the small things that used to bring me joy but I genuinely don't enjoy reaction videos anymore. most of those older 'exerpts' (except for two I think) aren't active anymore (I'm guessing at least to some degree bc stans didn't want to hear that their fave was not that legendary of a vocalist or their fave song wasn't as layered and complex as they thought it was) and instead there are just random people reacting to kpop and some of them you can just tell that all their reactions are completely faked out. Youtubers are jumping on this trend bc it’s easy (in terms of not having any kind of real substance) and gets u good views if you’re a little charming and funny.

TL;DR : everything is fake and authenticity is dead. kdjfdjf I'm mostly joking but in the end, as per usual with my rants of this kind, I don't have a specific point or a solution. I'm just starting a conversation. so if any of you have something to add or just want to chat about this send me an ask!! (plz don't reply in the comments because I want this to be on my dash so everyone else can read too.)

CBS Ghosts - Hello! - Ghosts Don’t Like To Be Ignored Part 2

After Jay convinces Sam that the ghosts aren't real, they must come up with a different plan of attack.

I love how Thor's like "Enemy hurts feelings" when he literally just cursed them and wants them to suffer so that they leave.

OMG Trevor's so excited to have another idea. We can tell a lot about him here. Despite the fact that he knows he's at fault for Sam's fall, and he did/does feel guilty, so he's so excited about having her around that he's like "don't ignore me - not okay."

He's definitely the type to be hurt by exclusion. He definitely dislikes being ignored. it could be why he was sulking a bit earlier in the scene.

LMAO - Trevor name drops and makes these references that frankly looks like Alberta's offended (What is a white party? It's a Labor Day dress in all white party, right? That's what Gossip girl tells me).

Also, he's such a puppy, so excited to have another idea.

LMAO - Thor wants to learn but Trevor's the IDEA is more important. I wonder if that's because of the scene in Episode One where he's like "I've explained these things before".

I love the quick succession here. Thor asks, Isaac answers (so he pays attention to Trevor's stories) and Trevor's like "That's not the point".

I like how Alberta and Sass are looking at him like 'what?' rather than speaking.

LMAO - Pete's face, he's just shaking his head. Like no.... no...

Meanwhile, Trevor's so excited that he stands up quickly - probably because he feels standing gets him listened to more - and immedaitely flashes Sass and Alberta.

No mention of it, but it gets better in a moment.

Aw, Isaac might be a good captain if he understands giving praise. He's like 'oh, Trevor has an idea, it's a good one... praise him'.

I do like that he's willing to listen to Trevor here. Trevor's had a few ideas lately and clearly trying to get a good one in.

OHHHH TREVOR.

I don't know why he's always doing these bowing things, but it's pretty clear that he's flashing Alberta and Sass, who have moved forward on the couch to avoid it.

I can't believe he doesn't think about these things, but then again, he's pantsless for 20 years so...

Feel bad for A & S though. BUT Trevor's cute.

LMAO, Isaac is SO HAPPY about this plan and it's crazy how excited this makes everyone else. They're just like yes!!! Let's DO THIS!

I wonder if there's some issues with Trevor not being listened to so he's like "It's my idea and it's good!" With his last few ideas. Especially since Haunting didn't work.

It's interesting that Sass actually agrees with this plan. Because he states plainly that he DOES NOT agree with Trevor on principle.

He must really be bored.

SPOILERS AHEAD!!! AND THIS HAS DEFINITELY KILLED THE HIGH I HAVE BEEN ON SINCE THE FINALE :/

So, they plan to bring Tyler back next season (I am literally scowling and frowning right now) and in one breathe she speaks of a love triangle with Garvez and Tyler. Then in the next breath she says they don't want to ruin Luke/Penelope's dynamic with a relationship. So, what's the plan to toy with the Garvez fanbase without any intention of getting them together? I am confused :( Someone please grab me back from this ledge I am standing on and about to jump off. Now, I don't know if I will bother watching season 17, because I fear they are only going to dangle Garvez in front of us 'only' to get our viewership.

Speaking of relationships, Penelope and Tyler [Ryan-James Hatanaka] develop an unexpected but delightful one, but they don't get their happy ending. Is this the last we'll see of Tyler?

ERICA: You will get to see more of Tyler at some point in the season. I can't say too much about it right now, but it was one of those things that we really consulted with Kirsten [Vangsness] about because it was a big betrayal to Garcia. And Garcia's done so much work on herself since 2020, that we said to Kirsten, "Look, we love RJ. We want to keep Tyler Green around. But it feels a little not like Garcia anymore, to go visit him in the hospital and be like, "It's okay, we're fine. Let's keep dating." That didn't feel true to who she is now.

And so Kirsten was happy that we didn't go that route and was a huge collaborator on what that scene would sound like. But we all hoped it wasn't goodbye forever, it was goodbye for now. That's what we're counting on for next season: that it was just a goodbye for now and he'll be back. And then that will bring a complication to — we didn't really get to play [with it] a lot — the triangle because Alvez, [who] didn't even find out about [the relationship]. He might have suspected, he suspected for sure in episode eight, but in episode nine when he and Garcia had that scene and he knows for sure, it's like, "No way!"

So now if Tyler Green's around a lot more, we'll get to play more of the triangle on the screen.

Yes, the fanbase is devoted to Penelope and Luke, but we get that flashback date scene where they determine they're better as friends. Tell me more about the decision to introduce that Penelope and Tyler dynamic.

ERICA: I think everybody wondered what happened on that date that was promised in the CBS finale; and we didn't give you that date until episode nine. But, there's something so incredible about their dynamic. It's not who Garcia was with Morgan [Shemar Moore], it's its own thing. And it's such an important ingredient to the show. [They (Garvez) bring levity and just a breath of fresh air when they're together. So we didn't want to lose that by messing it up with a relationship.] But, we've always loved when Garcia's in a relationship. It's been a long time. And we felt like, let's make it with the person who's least likely to be in a relationship with Penelope Garcia. And the whole introduction of Tyler was, oh, these two are never going to get together. They can't even be in a room together, let alone anything romantic happening. So to earn that and to see those tiny little things that changed how they thought about one another, it was rewarding for us. I think Kirsten and RJ both really loved that they had this arc that started as enemies. It's sort of like they even skipped the friend part and went to lovers, which was fast in some ways, but also believable.

Honestly, you just seem like such a genuinely wonderful person! You support my theory that fans of the so-called "toxic" ships tend to attract the nicest people for whatever odd reason :) Here's a fun weekend question: what are some totally unexpected, random headcanons you have about Chuck and Blair? Mine: Chuck is a secret sci-fi geek who even debates this stuff over the internet (just go with it lol!), Blair is secretly in love with country music (notice how quick she was to reference Carrie Underwood?!), they're both addicted to cheesy but awesome horror franchises like Scream, Friday the 13th and Final Destination and watch them over and over together, they secretly love cheap fast food like Taco Bell and McDonald's despite their usual "champagne and caviar" taste, Blair cries A LOT more often than her icy exterior would lead people to believe and even tears up at commercials, they are both insanely attached to the pets they own...etc. And, yes, I plan to work these into the cheesy CB fanfic that I'm dying to write!

blair tries to knit when she's pregnant with henry but gets so frustrated she stops after making a sock until she gets pregnant again and knits the other one which she proudly presents to their baby girl (the baby doesn't care but she will wear the socks)

they have matching outfits with their children and dogs (I headcanon henry having a l'il dog called tiger along with chuck still having monkey) which blair thinks is sooo cute

chuck lets their daughter paint his nails bc he's always kinda wanted to try it and what better excuse than saying a 4 year old did it so obviously he can't just take it off

chuck's favourite taylor swift song is speak now bc he thinks it's funny (his favourite album overall is reputation. blair's are red, reputation and midnights) he's also into jazz and swing and like electro-swing

blair doesn't like theme parks but they take their kids to disneyland and she wears minnie ears the whole day. chuck doesn't do rollercoasters but henry does get him to go on it's a small world and holds his hand the whole time so he's not scared (henry himself isn't big on animatronics but it's definitely not bc of that he's looking out for his dad). blair glares the princesses down whenever she sees them and almost gets thrown out but they bought the park out so she can't (she lets their daughter dress as belle but has her costume custom made)

blair's surprisingly good at videogames (she likes fighting ones) and gets way too competitive with chuck (who claims he doesn't really like videogames but is suspiciously good at mario kart)

It's happening again, Seungmin knows that much. The sleepless nights, the nightmares, days where he's digging his nails into his palm until he leaves little red crescents, everything that spits in Seungmin's face that he's slipping again. His mental health is crumbling away like sand in his palm and he can't get himself out of it. It's worse now that it's more than just everyone at the bar who he's worrying the more he snaps at them.

So he storms out of the bar, sick and tired of the way everyone is and has been looking at him. He's not some fucking monster for people to gawk at.

Shrugging his hoodie over his head as the rain, Seungmin just keeps walking, no destination in mind. He doesn't care where he goes, as long as he can get away from everything. Muttering apologies under his breath as he pushes past people, his eyes don't move from the ground, refusing to meet anyone's gaze lest they look at him like that.

Until he bumps into someone. Who's refusing to let him go?

As fun as it can be working as a Reaper, the one thing that would help is a standardised schedule. But unfortunately there isn't one, and Ari trudges on after a particularly nasty death by the moterway that they'd rather not dwell on. People really do get themselves killed in strange ways.

And since it's late, they don't really pay attention to where they're walking; not like anyone's going to—

Is that Seungmin? She holds him still, rolling her eyes when he tries to struggle his way out of her grip.

"Sorry can you just let me-"

"Woah, woah, Kim Seungmin," Ari huffs, rolling her eyes again when Seungmin stares at her. "Ain't the bar still open? Fuck you doing out here?" When the older man stiffens in their arms, Ari's suspicions raise even further. What is wrong with Seungmin? The two of them stay like that for a moment, before Ari gets sick of the silence and tugs Seungmin along with her, finally choosing her destination.

Her house.

How on earth he ended up in Ari's home, Seungmin doesn't know. What he does know is that he's being pushed to sit down on their sofa while the younger woman goes about getting a glass of water and shoving in his face. But he's busy scratching his arm, he can have the glass of water later, thank you very much.

"Drink the damn water, Seung," they order, and Seungmin frowns. "Don't give me that look, just take the thing, jeez."

So he does, and he doesn't see the relief that washes over their face.

It's a few hours later, there's some tv show playing that he doesn't remember either of them turning on and he can feel her staring through his skull. So he turns his head, and lo and behold Ari is blinking owlishly at him.

"Didn't know Zack knew how to possess you." He quips, and a little part of him is proud of that one. It's clever, dammit.

"Ha. Ha. Asshole." She fires back, but then the sincerity is back in her eyes, and Seungmin's confused. "I know something's bothering you, spill. You've been zoned out this whole time."

He's not getting out of this, is he?

"Everyone keeps looking at me like I'm some kind of fucking monster," he grits out, "all because my mental state is getting bad again. I fucking hate it; they don't know what I went through, they don't know what I've seen, they don't—"

"I don't." What? "I don't think you're a monster, Seung."

"Like hell you don't." Seungmin argues, refusing to let himself believe. "You're not a monster, what would you know?"

"Oh, I am a monster," Ari chuckles, making the brave decision to loop an arm over Seungmin's shoulder and bring him into a makeshift hug. "But~ that just means i can keep all the other monsters from hurting you ever again."

I'm really enjoying reading through your blog, and of course it has to do a lot with the fact that I also love to bits everything Taemin puts out. Unfortunately tumblr makes it really annoying to try and get to older posts, so sorry if you've already spoken about any of this T-T

A big part of why I love Taemin's solo work so much is his unique style, which shines through both technique and performance.

Taemin has many times spoke about how he's heavily involved in everything concerning his work: styling, picking out the samples, lyrics, themes, choreo, you name it he took care of it at some point. "The taemin genre" couldn't have emerged simply out of him being an above average dancer, his signature is on everything.

But surely, very often he can't do much more than express his opinion on something, and a lot of the end product is still created by other people? It would be silly to expect him to dance, sing, produce, write lyrics, style all at once, right? Or would it?

I very, very often hear people take pride in the fact that their fav is an "all-rounder", that presumably does most of the "creating" purely by themselves, or at least can shine all alone, even without the support of a group. But does that imply that artists that only do the performing part are somehow less "authentic", or worthy of praise? Or that idols comfortable in their position as a team player aren't talented or into what they do? To call yourself a master you probably have to spend a decade on just one skill, so why expect teens and young adults to be Da Vincis?

Now, of course it's still amazing when an idol puts in the work and branches out. Taemin's vocal improvement undoubtedly gave him more creative opportunities and made his stages that much more impactful.

But even just being an idol and maintaining an attractive appearance (for criteria as harsh as it is in k-pop) would easily count as a full-time job, so I would go as far as to say that this expectation of total creative control is a little delusional.

haha it was really funny watching you go through everything! yea tumblr is really bad about that, but if you go to my blog on desktop/not the mobile version you should be able to page back through ALL my asks, which are all tagged by 'answers'. there are like probably around a thousand of those now tho.

i have kind of talked about this before, but i'm very happy to talk about it again, because i always think it's worthwhile to clarify what the actual process is like for creating a collaborative work.

you are right, taemin and every other idol who says they're 'involved' in the process in some way is most likely just picking options and expression opinions about things that designers and stylists have already curated for them. it is physically impossible for a single person to do EVERYTHING involved in something like creating a kpop cb, because there are just too many tasks. and if one person DID try to do it all on their own, it would take probably 100x as long to finish. let me use styling as an example: lots of idols have professed to have input on styling choices, but this can range anywhere from bringing in moodboards and having discussions about what styling they're interested in at design meetings, to just picking which thing they like best from a selection of clothes already provided by the designer. in NO fucking world is an idol:

taking measurements

shopping for fabric

shopping for clothing

sewing and altering clothing

doing the budgeting

labelling and collating all the pieces together

taking fitting notes

these are all extremely specialized skills that 1) take TIME to learn how to do and how to do well, and 2) just take TIME to DO. you want to know what i spend probably 40% of the total production time of a show doing when i costume design? fucking SHOPPING. an idol may contribute ideas to a design and make executive choices, but in NO way are they solely responsible for everything about styling. the only idol that i would believe to have a heavier hand than most in this regard is kibum, who does actually have a good knowledge of fashion and fabric and i could see him going shopping with a designer. but if you think that man is sewing anything? cmon.

and this is just for ONE aspect of a cb. you think an idol is also painting the set? shopping for props? setting up the lighting? most idols that are known for dancing aren't even choreographing their own work, INCLUDING taemin. it is absolutely and unquestionably delusional to say that an idol has total creative control over something. this whole idea doesn't originate in kpop (it's auteur theory's fault), but kpop does suffer from an acute version of it, because there's a general collective concensus that devalues the creative work of the labourer. basically, people will only classify you as a "true artist" if you're the one who comes up with the ideas, because ideas and concepts are given more importance and weight. it's a type of because 'being in charge'/'at the top of the food chain that's been perpetuated by capitalism and western postmordern art theory that intentionally places value of conceptual skills higher than those of craftspeople. no type of person is a ''true artist'' and most art takes many people with many different skills in order to create. i find it unintentionally very funny that you use da vinci as an example of an 'allrounder' (or 'renaissance man' as they used to be called) because he, like every other famous painter from the era, used apprentices to help paint his paintings!!!!! he was even an apprentice himself for verrocchio!! da vinci's legacy would not have been possible without all the other people who helped him create the work that he did!

what is the real kicker about this whole mess is that downplays the beauty of the fact that art is made collaboratively. an 'ideas' person cannot realize those ideas without a craftsperson there to help them. everyone who takes part in creating something is important, and it's fucked to only acknowledge specific people in that process.

It's been a crazy day...

If you live in the United States, you know why today is a crazy day. But this isn't going to be about that. Even though I really want to talk about it.

THIS POST will have to deal with the rumors flying regarding the potential for a second Oprah Interview.

Do you ever wonder why people like Amber Heard just can't help themselves? Let me fill you in. Of course if you're new here, I strongly suggest you take a look see around the blog and get familiar with my credentials. I speak with the authority of my own experience alone. I am also infamous for admitting when I am wrong, though. (If I get time to see the corrections). Assume everything I say is speculative opinions only. Unless I have proof to show you, it's my own opinion, kay?

One would argue that doing a second Oprah interview would be unwise for all parties involved. Many criticized O for not pushing or questioning any answers given by the couple. I, on the other hand, have had time to digest everything. I feel that, in a way, Oprah always meant to allow them the peace of saying anything they wanted.

For O, she was the one who got the cash from CBS and iTV for the interview. As you most all know, finding a legal version of that interview is difficult. Every other interview O did after the duo is easily found. Not that one.

Maybe it's because O is waiting for the right number amount before selling streaming rights. Maybe this was really an overt operation. Maybe O's loyalty lies with the real Royals, not the runaways.

Think about it for a moment. The O video was the first big interview the duo sat down for after leaving the UK and royal duties. Oprah's notoriety as a talkshow host is massive in the US. She, in a way, is the closest version of royalty the US has. Even our elected officials don't survive the distractions of American idiotism anymore. Only those billionaire names and faces that have taken up air space for generations really hold that esteem here.

But anyone like O could only get to where she is by being wiser than everyone else in the room. Meaning she wasn't being played when the duo spilled their "truth". She could've been playing them instead.

If I were a narcissist billionaire wanting to cement or refresh my place in American pop culture, an interview with a controversial person would do the trick (i.e. Amber Heard, H&M, etc.). The narc is going to want to get everything out of the con as possible. Some will give up when they know they're caught. Others will lean in more. My ex was the latter.

My ex would lean in even harder. He would argue that real victims would never stop crying. It didn't matter if they cried wolf or bear. They never stop crying because even one glance in their direction is enough to keep going. It's an addiction in its own rite. People get addicted to openly bullshitting others because they know nothing will ever be done. If there is any hope out there that just one person believes the bullshit, the narc will fight tooth and nail until there are two believers. This is how we got to where we are today in many areas of society, but back to O.

She would know the real royalty is where the real value lies. She was still salty about not getting that Diana interview way back. For a lot of Americans, Harry is the closest thing to Diana they can get. Weird, I know. But still. The second son of Diana, Princess of Wales is way better than nothing. Even if the wife comes, too. BUT AGAIN... This could've been an opportune moment for a person like Oprah.

She would've seen the benefit in letting them ramble on and say anything they want. Especially if what they were saying could - and would- eventually be proven as a lie. O wasn't the liar in the interview. She was just a "safe space"... remember?

It could be entirely possible that O was really doing the BRF a big solid by allowing them to get their own nonsense out there. If there is a second interview, it would only be to finish the job left unfinished. Or just a big cash grab.

I wholeheartedly believe that O would only do a part two of an interview with strict stipulations. That would include cross examination most likely. O doesn't like being made a fool.

Narcs recognize narcs, and they will work together in tandem if it means everyone benefits. O gets her money either way. She's not the one lying.

It would be easy to think she allowed them enough water in the swimming pool to drown themselves. Otherwise, she risked her entire career for two fibbers and their truths.

OH A SIDE NOTE... How someone feels through something is one thing. Lying about things that can be proven to be lies is just lying. I am not debating her mental health issues while in the royal fam. Truth is, narcs love themselves too much to ever commit suicide. See The Thing About Pam.

Anyway... if the interview is going on, I doubt Netflix will get the rights to it. O would go bigger. I suspect they'll either be fired or have already been here in the last couple of days. It would justify the chin uppers coming from Nacho Man.

IDK... I think Gayle King would take the second one. She is owed that much for peddling for the Sunshines...

Looking at old prices for 30 second commercial spots on CW (2018 numbers, so pre-crash), looks like they were aiming for an average of about 30,000$/slot. Their #1 show was up to about 46K, and their lower shows were in the 15K area, so basically like +/- 15 range in either direction.

Just comparing. Windy for example is the Dynasty or Crazy Ex Girlfriend of today, in performance. Probably about 16K/slot. Walker is running like 4-5th in 18-49, which would be a slot or two under where SPN was in this year, so that looks like maybe about 24k/ep similar to charmed (who also had a similar ratings tumble and rot trajectory tbh). By this standard, AA becomes their top earner closer to that 46K target, and TW comes in closer, probably at between black lightning and the flash's values (flash being top in that year, 46K vs black lightning 35K, so just. 40K seems about right.)

That is NOT to even consider the bundled advertising with digital, TW's proprietary app digital demand, and the likeliness it is in fact closer to that 46K. Or Walker's trash proprietary app use bringing down it's value compared to its competitors, and suddenly you're looking at like 20K/ep.

And that's just that when you lay it out. You get like: AA: 46K+ // TW: 40-46K // Walker: 20-24K // Windy: 16K

Given, these numbers are rough, off of 2018 ad costs, based then comparatively on the ranking of each show at the time. But it really helps illustrate the problem at hand here, and why people are trying so hard to believe 18-49 doesn't matter, actually, regardless of what the CW presidents, partners, or just the general industry says.

This is WHY you get more Ipad and Marvel and all the high end non wrinkle cream shit in these two. AARP can't afford a spot on TW slot, but they can afford the Walker/Windy stuff nobody else is buying. Or so can tmobile/liberty/whoever buys 3 slots on the same show cuz they were just Sitting There. Because they don't have the audience advertisers want. Sure, Marvel could AFFORD to buy the slots but like. Why. Why waste money. They can spend about 2x as much to get like 4x the eyes they're targeting, why the fuck waste it on lower grade shit.

In an hour long show, there is an average of 32, 30 second slots. Sometimes it's broken for 15 seconds or you get a rare minute, but the prices above are for 30 seconds. So, x32 multipliers on those numbers. Then x20 or so to map out what a full season looks like, profit margin wise. AA: 46K+ (x32 = 1.472M) (x20 = 29.44M) TW: 40-46K (x32 = 1.28M-1.472M) (x20 = 25.6M-29.44M) Walker: 20-24K (x32 = 640,000-768,000) (x20 = 12.8M-15.36M) Windy: 16K (x32 = 512,000) (x20 = 10.24M)

Okay. Now let's look at this. I will say, with the digital bundling packages compensating (this was not active at the point of these numbers), these numbers may be slightly deflated across the board, and really are likely about double-over. So let's update that.

AA: 58.88M TW: 51.2 - 58.88M Walker: 25.6M-30.72M Windy: 20.48M

Okay. These are about what we can expect these shows advertising revenue to roughly look like at market value. And I think everybody still sees the problem, maybe even more loudly now.

For this, I'm using a flat 20 episodes, whether or not the show actually got 20 this year, as a nice round number.

Look at Windy: 20 eps for 20 million. Even if Nexstar gave them only 1 mill/ep, they STILL wouldn't make profit back. Much less like 2.5-3M/ep.

Now look at Walker: Even on the high end, 1.5M/ep. If they ONLY gave Walker 1M/ep, they'd make some profit, but Walker needs at least 3M/ep at current, and has no other funding sources beyond CBS itself deciding if they put in the other 2M/ep.

Now let's look at AA: almost 3M/ep. While the show's budget is about 3M/ep, they could literally be given the whole thing, and Nexstar would break even, but in the meantime, it's coproduced CBS and WB both as potential financiers. If Nexstar capped them at 2M/ep WB and CBS could both pitch in 500K each, pennies to them for what they get back in aftermarket, and be fine.

Now, let's look at TW: We COULD say the same value as AA--but difference being, younger show, smaller budget, closer to 2M. Meaning, Nexstar alone could choose to float the licensing and break even, and like AA, it's coproduced AND also has CM and it's financiers too. Even if somehow Nexstar lost its mind and only put 1M in, the rest could be broken out between the three viable other funding sources.

Realistically, Nexstar's ULTIMATE goal is to continue to cull bad performers and bring in better ones enough to raise the value of the slot in general, because these prices are still fractions of the larger networks. But while the larger networks descend, the aggressive cut and cull method of Nexstar looks to resist decline, basically letting everyone else fall down around them like that meme of the australian olympic skater or whatever. And, in the meantime, what they do cull, they can replace with infinitely cheaper unscripted or licensed products. Why pay 2-3 M an ep for a 0.07 with shit digitals when they can get that same 0.07 or probably BETTER by putting down 250K/ep on some reality shit or a cheap sitcom at 500K. Like it's a no fucking brainer at the end of the day.

Suddenly, if 4 of their 10 slots are this kind of shit, their operations costs just went through the fuckin floor, like 1/3 off at least, for the same performance or better. Then they keep their high demand shows to keep genre audience etc and bring in their dramas etc to age things up. Suddenly, Nexstar-CW is operating at like half the cost it used to, is actually bringing its numbers up in comparison to the rest of the industry, and, like they said, can be profitable by 2025.

The year of 2023-2024 is their "try to break evenish" year. What they cull and order this year is their first aggro wipe of the board, and they'll keep top performers. If all goes well, their packages should inflate by about 50% give or take as there's less of a gap between them and their competitors. Then, again, expect an aggressive cull after 2024 fall-spring season ends, and again, resisting that decline.

This tactic is also going to force new viewership in, and possibly drive up or stabilize viewership in already strong/surviving shows around in that 2023-2024 season, if they do this right. That's the whole plan, at least. So then, by 2025, their gap between them and the competition should be significantly narrowed, their ad space vastly increased in value, their operation costs down, and there you go, now you have a Profitable Network.

Okay now that my excitement has simmered down a bit, some thoughts:

Gonna go through my worries here and get them out of the way because for one I don't want negativity to ruin my hype and for two I probably have more articulate negative things to say my brain rn is kind of just too fucking excited to do more than just scream at how happy I am that ITZY IS COMING BACK.

So the most obvious thing lmao, the timing of this announcement is so fucking laughable I actually can't believe they deadass decided to drop this on the day midzys are sending trucks to JYPE. I talked about this with Kas and after that convo I'm less convinced this is a coincidence. Even the way they announced it like first dropping that article saying they have no clue when the cb is then dropping a teaser and a tracklist to manage our expectations because we've all been waiting for a full album pfff it's hilarious how obvious it is that they're covering their asses.

I could be wrong and they were planning to actually drop this shit today but if ya'll were all done preparing why couldn't you start by dropping a graphic poster or something since when does itzy release the tracklist this early? It's such a calculated move lmao. The buzz for the cb is most definitely going to drown out most of the press about the trucks.

The next thing sigh, what happened to the girls having involvement in this album? Why have we been waiting 8 months for only 6 songs? This feels like they were maybe 7/8 of the way through finalising and decided to just cut off the rest to release at a later date and I really have to ask if the girls' hard work matters so little that they can push forward shit just so they don't look bad in the press it's so fucking vile and quite frankly not all that surprising for div2 atp. I just feel bad like if there was stuff from them meant to be on the album then fuck div2 for holding it off because their own incompetence pissed off the fandom to this point and if there was none of their stuff then fuck div2 even more. A group in their 4th fucking year and to this day they have not been given an opportunity to have hands on credited involvement in their albums when they clearly want to have it. All the inputs and creative stuff they do do, specifically Ryujin, is never given credit or just taken and flanderised until it barely recognises the vision that you could clearly see was going somewhere lmao.

CBS Ghosts - Viking Funeral - The Reveal of a Body Part 1

Spoiler May Appear.

I love how Mark just slides by the whole awkward encounter from before and starts explaining some of their process.

Naturally, Jay has been summoned from the kitchen (?) I presume, and is like "Damn this whole thing is so costly" - gee Jay, maybe you should've ran some numbers before deciding to do this.

I love how you he leads them to the hole, before being like "look what we found".

Like he really wanted them to see it for the reveal rather than just telling them. Like he isn't sure how to tell them that there's human remains on their property.

LMAO Mark looks like he's having fun with this reveal.

Like he's already thinking Sam's a wack Job, and now he finds human remains... and he's just "isn't this fun."

OOOOH I love this.

So we can obviously assume that Pete, Trevor, Alberta and Sass followed Sam out the door to find out what happened. But we don't see them until this moment!

They're all standing there, together and surprised. And I love the juxtaposition from the three livings to the ghosts.

I wonder if before Thor says "hey that's me" if one of the other ghosts thought it could be one of them? Or a secret ghost.

LMAO - Thor's like So Happy - HEY THAT"S ME. And Sam's slow look at him is like "holy shit - a ghost = a body - how did I not realize that?"

It's so revealing because I think it's the first time she's connected that they used to have bodies and be alive.

It's interesting that Sass is like "You sure that's you?"

As if Thor hasn't been there for a thousand years and would KNOW where he died.

What's interesting is how he happily describes the saddest thing I've ever thought about with regards to ghosts' afterlives - watching his body decay all alone over 100s of years. HOLY SHIT. That's depressing.

I do like the looks on the other ghosts' faces.

Flower is looking sad and concerned.

Pete's shaking his head.

Sass looks like he's realizing something for the first time about his best friend.

Alberta's got a concerned/grossed out look on her face.

and Trevor also looks saddened. He's almost got his hand over his heart.

All of them are like "That's so sad"

and Thor is *grinning*.

I can't believe that Thor thought it was 'pretty cool', but I suppose that's how he deals with it.
