Marcus: Hello? Is this thing on?

Solace: Can you...hear us?

Céline: Hey, I see something! I think we've connected!

Aster: And it only took us fifteen hours!

Marcus: ...I can't tell if that's sarcasm or genuine happiness.

Aster: Both!

Solace: ...

Céline: Guys! We can't get distracted again. Everyone can see us!

Marcus: Right. Sorry. Um, greetings, humans of this world! I am Marcus, and I —

Aster: C'mon, you don't need to be so formal! Humans of this weird world with no Pokemon, hiya! I'm Aster, the Fraxure who looks like he could kill you but is actually a cinnamon roll is Marcus, the Typhlosion who looks like she could kill you and actually could kill you is Solace, the Chikorita who looks like a cinnamon roll but could actually kill you is Céline, and the Delcatty who looks like a cinnamon roll and actually is a cinnamon roll is me, Aster!

Solace: I wouldn't call you a cinnamon roll by any means, Aster.

Céline: And I wouldn't say you look like one, either.

Aster: I'm just trying to lighten the mood a bit!

Marcus: Well, now that the mood is lightened, I'll describe what we're doing here. You see, Umbreon, Espeon, and Keldeo were fiddling around with some Magnagate stuff with the help of Hoopa, and by combining Entercards with a hoop portal, they were able to peek at a world without Pokemon. That's still the strangest thing to me. Even in the so-called human world, we still had Pokemon; they just weren't dominant like they are here.

Solace: The researchers...decided to establish communication with this...weird world, and since all four of us were once humans, we were volunteered to be the ones to communicate. I don't completely understand...this "tumblr" thing, but I think there's a way for you to ask us questions, and so we'll do our best to reply...and tell you about our world.

Céline: You can ask our friends questions too, if you want, but they probably won't be as active here as we are.

Aster: Now, I suppose we should introduce ourselves! The four of us are known to the Pokemon world as the Four Human Heroes, because we were all humans that were turned into Pokemon, and we all saved the world. I'm Aster, and I'm originally from the human world, specifically the Hoenn region, which is the best one. I'm also dead! Well, I died as a human, that is. Then my spirit became a Skitty, I met my partner, Charizard — well, he was Charmander then — and we got Rayquaza to blow up an incoming meteor that was causing all sorts of natural disasters. Not sure how a meteor can cause forest fires, but whatever.

Solace: I...am Solace, hailing from a future that didn't come. After an...accident — actually an attack — while crossing time, I was turned into a Cyndaquil. I joined Treecko, who's now called Sceptile, to form an exploration team, and together, we put the Time Gears into Temporal Tower...and stopped the planet's paralysis before it could begin.

Marcus: I'm Marcus! Unlike the other two, I can visit the human world whenever I want, and I can remember my past with perfect clarity. I'm from Unova, and I was selected by the Voice of Life to become an Axew, destroy the Bittercold, and save the Pokemon world. I couldn't have gotten this far without my partner, Dewott, and all my teammates back in Pokemon Paradise.

Céline: I'm Céline, and I lived in Kalos a long, long time ago. I was summoned to the Pokemon world to fight Dark Matter, but while Mew and I managed to destroy its physical form, we knew it would come back one day. In the present day, I came back as a young Chikorita, and Mew was reincarnated as my best friend Fennekin! This time, we managed to defeat Dark Matter for good — not by destroying it, but by accepting it. As of now, Fennekin and I are still working hard in the Expedition Society — much better than having to go to school!

Gengar: Kekeke! I'm here too!

Aster: Nobody invited you, Gengar.

Gengar: Send me lots of asks!

While this does take place in the same 'verse as my fic, Tenacity, which means that Aster is the same Aster that Zinnia mentions in ORAS, I'm not really trying to get readers. I just want to have fun with my interpretations of the main characters from the four PMD games that are out globally. I do have some rules, however:

TSSM Pokemon Au Part 4

I watched some Pokemon videos and decided to give TSSM characters Pokemon for fun! This is also going off of @hermesserpent-stuff ‘s Spider Nephew Au. Also, there might be some people with the same Pokemon for different reasons; either they fit two people, or it’s to match with someone. I also base some of these Pokemon in different ways, from types, aesthetics, Pokedex Entries, jobs, powers, and backstories. I also won’t mind explaining my reasoning because I did a lot of research for them. Also, I tried o make sure they had diverse types, but some people might have more than 1 of the same type. Another thing is that I like to imagine that Peter and the other villains have 3 Pokemon for their civilian image and then the other 3 for their hero/villain work.

The last thing is that I have only played up to Generation 8, and I have yet to play the other games. So my bad, if there is another Pokemon that suits them better.(let me know plz)

I will highlight their starter and their strongest. Red is their strongest, and blue is their starter. Purple is both. Any that has a * are their secret team.

Tombstone was bullied as a child as he looked different than other kids. One day, he hid from others so he wouldn't get beaten up. When the bush he was hiding in started moving. He was met with a shiny Eevee hiding from its siblings for the same reason. Lonnie took it home to heal it but had to hide it from other people. When the other kids found out, they were jealous that he had found a shiny pokemon. They bullied him about it even more for different reasons (that he didn’t deserve a shiny pokemon or that he managed to find a weird Pokemon like him). Eevee was his only true friend for a while (He also thought that Robbie was his only human friend). Next, he found a Wimpod who was also hiding from others for being weak. He decided to take care of it, too. When he was walking with Robbie Roberton, they found some Nidorans, both female and male. Robbie suggested catching them since he knows they would be strong Pokemon when they evolve (Lonnie got the female one since he liked blue more. Also, Robbie just wanted another Pokemon for Lonnie so he can be more protected from those bullies). He knew he had to be tougher so others would leave him alone. He caught a Riolu to start training himself to be a better fighter. So when he got older, no one messed with him anymore. He did get shady jobs and eventually went into crime but thought of nothing of what he wanted to do in the future. It wasn’t until he was thinking about enemy gangs that he had to deal with and wishing there was a way to stop them. He then watches a Bisharp leading a group of Pawniards to hunt and gets the idea of being a mob boss. He eventually catches a Pawniard and rises in ranks. When he was almost to the top, he knew he needed one more strong Pokemon. When his men revealed some stolen Pokemon another gang had, he watched how Fraxure never backed down. He decided to keep that one and evolved it for his image as a strong trainer as a mask for L Thompson Lincoln.

Hammerhead had a tough childhood since his father was the one who controlled the house, and he couldn’t really get any Pokemon for a while without him approving it. When his father finally let him, they were all dog Pokemon, mostly Growlithe and Houndor. Until he found a Snubull that he liked. His father was going to order him to leave the Snubull because of its look until the breeder showed him what it evolves to and said it was okay to keep it. He caught different Pokemon, but his father never approved any of them except for Gibble. When he finally had enough, he fought his father when both of his Pokemon evolved and ran away. He later joined a gang. Somewhere, he caught a Sharpedo. As he was fighting a rival gang, he got hurt really badly and was taken by a scientist. He gave him his steel skull, including a Sheildon and Cranidos, since the scientist already tested the two pokemon for their skulls and didn’t need them anymore. He joined Silvermane’s gang for a while. He and Silver Sable were dating at one point as she managed to get them to have the same pokemon since she thought it would be cute. So they both have a Malwile. They ended up breaking up, but Hammerhead kept his Malwile. Now, he works for Tombstone.

Sable got any Pokemon she wanted from her dad. As a child, her first pokemon was a Wurmple because her mother had a Beautifly, and she wanted one, too. Her father asked if she wanted fully evolved pokemon so she could have it, but she wanted to evolve them herself, so he let her. Later she she managed to get a Clampearl and a Formantis as a teen. She still didn’t know what other pokemon to get later. At one point, she dated Hammerhead a few years later. She thought it would be cute to have the same pokemon together. They both caught a Malwile. Eventually, they broke up, but Sable kept her Malwile. Later, Sable was trying to figure out what to do with herself while her father was in prison. She started training and trying to figure out what she could use. She caught a Weavile for offense. Then, a Skarmory for aerial attacks and a getaway ride.

Dmitri Nikolaievich Smerdyakov didn’t have the best childhood growing up. Living in the household of the Kravinoff family was tough, and one of the ways he tried to impress them was his acting skills by disguising himself as someone else, inspired by watching a Ditto that they let him keep but was the only one that was allowed to. Someone noticed his talents and asked if he wanted to join his brother’s group of impersonators. He also offered him a Zorua too, if he joined. Dmitri left the house, without anyone knowing, and began his criminal career. He eventually evolved Zorua to Zororark. Although he was very picky about which pokemon to get. He then decided that he wanted Pokemon that can transform or other performing types. He caught a Kecleon for its ability to turn invisible, easier for it to escape. Mr. Mime for Psychic moves to stop people/pokemon or when Zoroark is pretending to be something else, Mr. Mime tries to use psychic in some way that it looks like Zoroark is attacking them with the “correct” moves. Castform and Oricorio came later and used their switching types as an advantage. After a while of being alone, he heard about another criminal using theatre tricks. He hunted him down and found Quintin Beck and the Tinkerer. They decided to become a group. At one point, he managed to convince Quentin to get a Zorua (in reality he was the one who needed that Zorua and did this as an excuse because he always has one slot open when impersonating someone else and catching that pokemon just to release it.) When he wanted to impersonate Spiderman, Quentin caught him a Dewpider. When his plan failed, he told Quentin to get rid of it and decided to leave the other two to go solo.

Extra Stuff: Hammerhead and Sable’s Malwile are on good terms so they greet each other when they see each other. It annoys the other two when they are trying to battle.

But if Mysterio and Chameleon’s Zoroark see each other, they fight since Chameleon boasts that his pokemon is stronger.

Hammerhead’s Granbull might look tough, but when they are alone it turns into a big baby. Hammerhead believes he might have pampered it too much as a child, but he doesn’t complain that much…until it needs a bath.

Sable grabs onto Skarmary’s leg when they are flying but Beautifly likes to get out of her ball to join them.

Hammerhead’s pokemon likes to headbutt him for no reason (affectionate) other than they know he can take it. However, Malwile bites him even though he already told them to stop. (They won’t)

Tombstone’s Glaceon would sleep next to his desk but when it’s not wandering around it sits on his desk, watching him work.

Tombstone’s Glaceon is curious about Peter’s Eevee, since it’s been a long time since it has been near another Eevee, but gets too close to Eevee that it gets annoyed.

Not many people will train their own Pokemon by fighting them, but Tombstone likes to spar with his.

Nidoqueen is the Pokemon that is mostly concerned about Tombstone’s health. She makes sure he eats and sleeps. Since she did promise Robbie that she will take care of him.

Great news! Got my laptop back earlier than expected so I've spent this evening working hard on getting some bonus content ready for the next expanded sky update. Need to do a little more learning around a certain style of choicer before I can finish redoing the credits and get a release out, but I can now confirm the following:

Dusk lycanroc implemented. This was the main thing I was trying to do with this update, but it's become much bigger!

Sobble's full evo line added!

Extra portraits and sprites pulled down for all existing starter evolutions and none of them should walk on the spot to sleep any more. Had initially held off doing this due to the vast amount of artists who'd contributed these in the sprite repo, but once I rework the credits there'll be space for a lot more names!

Grookey added! Finally, grookey won't be the only starter left out, I've been waiting for this day for so long 😭

Axew added! Really felt like it needed to be included thanks to being a gti starter, and it looks like there was a pretty nice overhaul of axew's sprites in the repo recently, so that's in there too, as are fraxure and haxorus.

Axew and grookey will be partners in MIDNIGHT, and heroes in both, replacing riolu and shinx. Riolu and shinx are still available as partners in MIDNIGHT. Taking riolu + shinx off the hero roster made me pretty sad tbh, but they'll still be accessible in older versions ofc.

Overall I'm feeling pretty happy with the update and can't wait to put it up online for y'all 👀

The end? or the beginning?

Hiya cuties! I’m uh… not used to writing in this sorta way, I usually post on other websites, but this one is kinda too long to put anywhere else. So you’re stuck with me blogging it instead! Hope that’s ok with all the fine residents of Rotomblr! Just some background, I can’t keep Pokemon because I didn’t pass the really easy yearly “are you smart enough to raise Pokemon '' competency exam. Like ya know, the one that like 99.9% of people pass? So I’ve been going around collecting hugs instead of Pokemon. Gym leaders each give me a challenge to do so I can hug their Pokemon, and today I did the final gym, Drayden’s. His was pretty simple: slay three dragons. More specifically, beat his three dragon type Pokemon in battle. So that’s what I was doing! I’m gonna be like really dramatic about it cuz that’s fun, but I promise I’m not making anything up. This is Jace Embrace letting you in to see his (very large sized) heart. Aaaanyways, without further ado, here’s the story of how I beat Drayden!

So it all started with a waiver. Standard stuff really, most of the time the stuff I do for fun is really dangerous, so you gotta sign away your right to like do stuff if you get hurt and stuff, but this one was like… way different. The agreement that the other person is trying to hurt you kinda makes it go to a whole nother level. I’d prefer if I didn’t die, after all, but also if I go out fighting a dragon type in my knight outfit, I guess that’d be a pretty fun way to go. This waiver was like at least 30 pages longer than all the other ones I’ve signed before. It’s that kinda anxiety I live for, the kind that makes me scared, the kind that makes me want to run away. Not running away is the best part. Standing my ground and telling myself I can do something even if my subconscious tells me I shouldn’t. Being the master of my own subconscious makes it all worth it. The only thing that brought me conscious resistance was the understanding that my friends, boyfriend, and Frank (A love variant Solosis I created on accident/on purpose) would miss me if I were gone. But I think just like people who go climbing and caving, they accepted that my hobby was dangerous, and supported me despite that baggage. Honestly… I can’t thank them enough for that. It’s been nice to have that off my shoulders, even if there was a time where it dragged me down so much I almost turned into someone I hated. But all that’s behind me by a lot now, I’m a new man (new femboy? Is that a saying people use?) now, and I couldn’t love myself more. Rough around the edges a bit, but hopefully that changes. I’m pretty damn hopeful it will, especially after the events of this story. Oh shit I got off track again, so I signed that waiver. It's so ironic that I feel the most alive when I put my life on the line, but I’ve found happiness in it.

The countdown rushed by, Drayden sent out his Fraxure first, I guess he was doing this gym leader style. I felt pretty confident about this, which for reasons I’ll get into later, was stupid. But that’s ok, stupid isn’t a dealbreaker, just an issue to work around. So I charged into combat, and of course this did not go super well. I am a human. Humans don’t have super special magic powers, they have super normal mundane powers, like calculus. I don’t know calculus and even if I did I don’t think it’d help me fight a dragon type. Anyways, I started getting my ass absolutely kicked, like so hard, like it hurt a lot. I tried to like… unlock my inner anime self, but obviously that doesn’t exist in real life so I kinda just looked like a dude shouting at a Fraxure while getting his ass beat first. Drayden wasn’t even giving commands, just sorta letting it fight like a Pokemon in the wild. I ended up getting knocked to the ground several times.

Drayden honestly trains his Pokemon well, the rule was that I wasn’t allowed to faint, otherwise I’d lose the battle. Kinda like a normal Pokemon battle. He definitely trained it well cause I didn’t die, and it was definitely being soft. I think the goal was to get me to quit. After a few minutes of getting roughed up, I stumbled back, clutching my sword arm, which had been heavily wounded in the process. My sword was all the way across the room, and between it and me was the Fraxure. For the first time in the whole fight, Drayden barked out a command.

“Finish him. Dragon Tail.” There was nothing I could do. Simply put. It was faster than me, stronger than me, it had more stamina than me, even my tiny-ass brain could put that together. I was fucked. I didn’t run though. I never run. I stood my ground, holding up both arms, gritting my teeth as the movement brought stabs of pain to me. What was coming for me would hurt, I knew that, so I braced for that pain. As the Fraxure charged me at full speed, I heard a voice, but not with my ears, with my brain. It spoke loudly, with a deep and monotone voice, almost like a robot. “{Anomaly. On. Your. Six.}”

Before I could even look behind me, there was a burst of force I felt on my back. Not enough to move me, but enough to feel it. The Fraxure in front of me seemed to hit an invisible wall inches before its attack made contact, dropping to the ground, fainted. I gasped, shocked that I was still conscious. As I looked behind myself, Drayden returned his Fraxure to his pokeball. Behind me was a rather large Sigilyph, its patterns looked strange, its markings having much more complexity than what I was used to seeing on my adventures. Yet… it looked familiar to me. “{Anomaly I am… rather I was… the Keeper. I sense you do not recognize me. It has been 8 months since I last met with you face to face. I now wish to fight alongside you. I await a new purpose. To fight alongside you like the knights and Sigilyph of old. Let me aid you in combat. Now, and until we part.}” Not gonna lie. I kinda cried a lot. But I had to keep fighting. I ran up and hugged it, gasping in pain of course, my right arm was still injured. After a short hug, I stepped back. Suddenly, the Sigilyph’s eye began to glow a soft purple as I felt the pain in my arm fade away. It was definitely still wounded, I still couldn’t move it right, but at least it didn’t hurt. I looked behind me, back at Drayden. He gave me a smile under his white beard. What a GILF. I still don’t know if he knew this would happen, oh well.

Drayden threw out his second pokeball, letting out a hearty chuckle as a Druddigon appeared. I figured I should give a name to my first ever pokemon “I guess this is where the real battle starts. I’m gonna start calling you Squire, is that ok?” the Sigilyph responded “{Your wish is my command. You are right handed. For now, you will be left handed. Fight with your left arm as your right is wounded.}” Its eye began to glow again, and I could feel a weird sensation in my hands and head. Squire didn’t explain until later that handedness is determined by both genetics and the way the brain develops. He couldn’t change the way my body was genetically routed, but he could subtly rewrite my mind to make me temporarily ambidextrous, turning all my (admittedly low) sword muscle memory into muscle memory for a mirrored stance. I don’t quite understand it all, but I understand it enough to know it works. This weird feeling didn’t last long, and I was quickly snapped out of it by Drayden giving a command to his Druddigon.

“Druddigon, Revenge.” He ordered the pokemon, which caused it to charge me with brutal intent. From Squire, I once again heard his voice in my head “{Anomaly, I am casting the protective seal of reflection and the protective screen of light.}” Its patterns began to glow and shake, and two different translucent layers of energy surrounded me, as if to serve as a miniature forcefield clinging to my skin. I took up a defensive stance, knowing I still couldn’t dodge this attack either. It hit me with an all things considered quite forceful shoulder check, and I was sent flying across the battle arena. We weren’t using the two dragons for obvious reasons, so instead we were using a flat arena so I didn’t accidentally fall to my death. As I flew, I realized something. I wasn’t actually hurt all too bad. None of me felt broken, just a few cuts here and there. Time seemed to slow down as my mind was driven into overdrive. I heard Squire’s voice in my head once more. “{I have taken the liberty of temporarily increasing the speed at which your brain functions. I will also cast the seal of the tailwind to allow you to move faster so your body moves at the speed your mind thinks. This is how the knights of Relic Castle once fought. Fight with bravery and purity of heart. I will serve as your spotter.}”

My movement sped up once more as it beat its wings, causing a magical wind to press my body to move faster, catching up with my sped up mind. I was able to grab ahold of one of the rafters of the arena, slowing the impact and hanging from above. “Follow him, Night Slash” Drayden shouted at his Druddigon, which flapped its wings and began pursuit. It would normally be way faster than me, but with Squires assistance, I now fought with it on an even playing field. I still needed my sword, and I knew just how I’d get to it.

As the Druddigon flew into the air, I swung myself down from the rafters, landing feet first on its head, moving far faster than it expected. Its guard wasn’t up yet, so I was able to kick it in the snout with both my metal armored boots. Using its face as a springboard, I jumped off of it in the direction of my sword, the Tailwind carrying me until I was very close. I ran up and as I leaned down to snatch the sword, I felt a subtle suggestion in the back of my mind telling me to do a flip. So I did a flip, grabbing the sword in my left hand as I did. I’m glad I heeded the advice of the suggestion, since doing the flip allowed me to see what was behind me: a full speed charging Druddigon with a claw wrapped in darkness aimed directly at me.

In midair I raised my sword to parry the claw, in a movement the felt familiar but I knew I had never used. It was around this point I realized Squire wasn’t just watching me, he was helping me, teaching me moves on the spot I had never learned, giving me muscle memory that I’d never had before. The human body was versatile, I had never really thought about it much, but with Squire’s help covering for my statistical weaknesses I was able to employ these techniques, techniques used by knights of old, stored in the Sigilyph’s memory to help people like me fight. No wonder he followed me for so long. I had accidentally unearthed an ancient tradition that he was purpose-built to serve. His mental assistance was clearing up the brain fog that my ADHD caused, making it easier to enter the flow state. I could think clearer, coming to these realizations in the split seconds before the Druddigon struck at me. My sword parried the blow effortlessly, transferring the energy of the slash into the ground instead of my face, causing the Druddigon to let out a roar as it smashed its claw on the metal ground, making sparks fly.

“Dragon Tail.” Drayden barked orders at the Druddigon as I looked down at my sword. I was expecting the sword to be heavily damaged, but whatever protective barrier that Squire applied to me also had enveloped the sword, also strengthening its durability. Before the Druddigon could begin his attack, I began mine. I charged it with the tip of my sword pointed at it, unleashing a flurry of whirling slashes and stabs. From here on, I fell into a rhythm, my body almost moving on its own as I fought with my mind in tandem with Squire, using both its view and my view, a third person view and a first person view, an experienced mind and a brave mind. The Druddigon had thick hide that allowed it to shrug off most attacks, but by aiming for weak points and getting it to slam into walls, I eventually brought it down.

Drayden sent out his final Pokemon, his Haxorous. This was his ace, I did do a little bit of research before the fight (watching one mewtube video that I fell asleep right before the midway point of), but Squire was bringing the knowledge of that video that I had passively absorbed to the forefront of my mind. I knew he would try to have it set up with Dragon Dance, then strike at me with Dragon Tail until it won. I could win if I didn’t allow it space to set up, so that’s exactly what I did.

The rest of the fight was a blur as I sunk into tactics, once again entering a trancelike state as I was assisted by Squire. Before I fully realized what was going on, I brought the Haxorus to the ground, finishing the fight by smashing the pommel of my sword into its head hard enough to knock it out. By now my sword, despite its increased durability, was heavily damaged, so I quickly sheathed it and bowed to Drayden in true fashionable Jace style. “Good fight! I had a lot of fu- oop…” I said as I suddenly felt all the strength drain from my body, causing me to fall to the ground. “{As a downside to increasing your speed and mental capacity… battles such as these will be very physically taxing on your mind and body. It’s not the normal badge we give, you will have to return and fight me in a Pokemon vs. Pokemon battle for that, but it is a badge. The Opelucid badge of honor. I don’t normally give these out to just any person who enters my gym, but you have shown outstanding courage, determination, and most importantly of all, kindness. You’ve made friends along the way in your journey and fostered relationships that will last you a lifetime should you cultivate them with great care. Your optimistic personality is admirable as well, for you shine as a light in other people’s darkness, although you might want to make sure that your light is not blinding, even legends have flaws and I urge you to keep that in mind as you continue your journey across Unova. Lastly… I’ll get to my point in all this. You have two Pokemon that would call you their master if you had the means to have them join your party. One of them is here, the other you have sent off to stay with someone else. Both of these could only exist in the way they do because of your love. I believe if you were allowed to raise them, you would do so far better than most trainers. I cannot change the current establishment to allow for people like you to prove yourselves, but I do intend to fund a project for people like you who struggled in school to get the help they need. Your story has taught me something valuable: sometimes all someone needs to be great is a little help here and there. I’m going to appeal to the league and ask that they give you a two month temporary license. I trust during this time you will study hard for your next exam. I believe in your ability to succeed this time. Keep your head held high Jace, I hope that one day you surpass me in strength.”

The rest of the day was a blur. There’s plans for me to get a whole ceremony celebrating my accomplishments and stuff. I won’t complain but I think it’s a bit much for little ol me… I plan to study hard like Drayden said. Squire has already agreed to help me, and I have convinced him to start calling me “Jace” or “Knight” instead of “Anomaly” so that’s cool. I look forward to my future. I might’ve failed my trainers license exam 9 times in a row, but I wasn’t built different back then. When I was on the journey back to the hotel room I was staying in with my boyfriend, we were talking about the trainer license exam. The conversation went a little something like this:

“Do you think you can learn enough to pass in two months? It’s been a while since you’ve been to school.”

“If I were to take the whole exam in one sitting… it might be a little tough.”

“Would you fail?”

“Nah, I’d pass.”

ok so literally nobody asked but i i’m gonna talk about my moms’ pokemon cause i miss them

i miss my moms too but their pokemon are more fun to talk about

they both just have four pokemon, for whatever reasons. they’ve never really given me a straight answer about it, so i’m guessing something bad happened, but idk

pretty much all of their pokemon help out around the lab or with fieldwork, and they’re all pretty smart (from my perspective at least)

my mom grew up in nacrene city like i did, so she’s got a fairly regular set of pokemon

her starter’s a seismitoad named foggy (they have a much longer lifespan than you would think). he mostly helps with fieldwork, but he also likes just hanging out with the local palpitoad and tympole. i think he has secret kids in pinwheel forest somewhere, but mom won’t let me follow him to find out :/

he’s always been a bit standoffish to me, but that might just be cause i don’t really understand him. i was scared of him when i was little, which is really funny considering i was never scared of…

her haxorus, evergreen. well, she was a fraxure until i was like 9, but still. she was a ‘special rescue’ from a shelter that couldn’t take care of her. she broke one of her tusks at some point before mom ever met her, which was the big reason the shelter couldn’t take care of her

i have no idea why my mom was able to take care of her, but that’s another one of those things i’ve never gotten a straight answer about. apparently evergreen used to be super aggressive because of the whole ‘broken tusk’ thing, but she’s been super mellow the whole time i’ve known her. like, ‘tolerates a toddler pulling on her tail’ mellow. anyway, she doesn’t do much around the lab, but she’s great at deterring wild pokemon from breaking in

mom also has missy the cincinno, who is the most uptight old lady you will ever see. she’s very serious about lab clean-up procedures, and is genuinely terrifying if you put a beaker in the wrong cabinet. trust me. i know.

she relaxes a lot when she’s around her other (better) half, but i haven’t gotten to him yet. she’s sort of like a ‘tough love’ type. i learned how to clean my own room real quick when i was little so i didn’t have to deal with it though (she wouldn’t let my moms do it)

my mom’s last pokemon is seashell the floatzel, who her dad apparently caught for her on a business trip to sinnoh (that’s also the most i’ve ever gotten from her about her dad). she’s really nice, and she helped teach me how to swim. she’s a surprisingly good swim instructor!

she’s very much a ‘take it easy’ sort of pokemon. she used to help with scouting out new areas, but since my moms don’t do much of that anymore, she makes sure that new pokémon populations they plan to study won’t be outright hostile. she takes her job more seriously than she takes anything else, which doesn’t say much, but yknow. still!

my mama’s from azalea town in johto, so all her pokemon are johtoan. she also thinks the funniest thing in the world is pokemon with people names, so… yeah.

her starter is daryl the slowking. he makes sure things are running smoothly in the lab, and mama’s trying to teach him how to read so that he can fact-check her numbers too. last i checked, it’s actually going better than you would think. but then again, apparently he can telepathically speak johtoan, so it shouldn’t be that much of a surprise. i wonder if mama’s teaching him unovan?

anyway, daryl always kinda felt like a big brother to me. he’s always looking out for me, and of my moms’ pokemon, i think he was the saddest to see me leave on my journey (although he also definitely knows i’m coming back. he’s too smart not to)

mama also has jenna the bellossom. since grass-types are relatively easy to care for, mama put me in charge of ‘taking care’ of jenna from a pretty young age. really that just meant turning on her sun lamp, watering her, and giving her fertilizer, but i loved it. she’s probably why i love grass types so much now!

jenna helps when my moms have to actually bring pokemon into the lab physically by putting them to sleep first. damage reduction for everybody, basically. she also helps out in our garden!

and since i’m sure you were on the edge of your seat waiting to learn about missy’s other half… he’s edward the espeon. a direct contrast to missy, he’s the nicest old man you’ll ever meet. if he were a human, he would be the kind that gives out full-sized chocolate bars on halloween

he mainly helps out by levitating things around the lab/keeping things steady. apparently it took a fair amount of training for him to actually behave in the lab, though. he was always good with me. my mama has a picture somewhere of edward levitating me when i was a baby (he was a bit stronger back then)

my mama’s final pokemon is nokoribi the ninetales. her name translates to ‘ember’ in unovan! she clearly doesn’t fit mama’s naming scheme, which is because she was named like 300 years ago by her first trainer. since ninetales live for so long (i honestly don’t really like thinking about it), there’s a tradition in the kanjoh region where they’ll be owned by families instead of just individual trainers, and get passed down from generation to generation

nokoribi is very calm, but in a different way than seashell or evergreen. calculating, almost. sometimes i think she’s smarter than she lets on

…but then other times she tries to eat plastic and whines for an hour when we won’t let her. it’s honestly a mixed bag with her. you never know what you’re gonna get!

i could go on and on about all the dynamics that they have, too, but i feel like this is enough info for a post that nobody asked about. i’ll post more about my moms’ pokemon if somebody wants me to or if i feel like it again, cause you can’t stop me >:3

So, with your Pokémon au, you made a comment about debating whether all of stzw should have dragon Pokémon (https://www.tumblr.com/monstrsball/717252267383865344/kennedy-i-was-wondering-do-you-have-characters?source=share I couldn't link it sorry) and it made me curious: what are all the Shiratorizawa teams like?

disclaimer: this is actually the first time i'm thinking about the rest of shiratorizawa so these teams very well may change in the future (except for ushijima, semi, and tendou)

shiratorizawa pokemon teams

washijou: i do not have a team decided for washijou yet but the idea for him is he's a dragon-type gym leader! he was sort of a mentor to ushijima before ushijima left on his first pokemon journey (where he became champion). ushijima got his first pokemon from washijou too!!

ushijima: i talked about ushijima's team here in the post about the elite four + champion.

tendou: i talked about his team here.

semi: so, i'm still unsure what i'm doing with him. i very much still want him to be a musician (hence the pokemon i gave him) but i'm not sure what he was doing before? i'm debating having it where he was attempting the gym challenge originally but changed his mind. he and tendou are traveling together.

his pokemon- obstagoon, chatot, low-key toxtricity, noivern (i sort of lied when i said semi didn't have any dragon types bc i didn't know noivern was a dual type lol)

reon: left on his pokemon journey at the same time as ushijima. he beat all of the gym leaders but lost when he challenged the elite four. he is now a trainer at washijou's gym. he only uses his dragon-types when he battles challengers at the gym.

his team - dragonite, fraxure, goodra (<- the pokemon he uses to battle gym challengers, capping at three because that's the max i've seen gym trainers in the games use)

i'm thinking he has other pokemon that were on his original team when he challenged the gyms and elite four, he just doesn't use them for the gym battles. i think a kingambit would be cool for one of them because of the benkei nickname.

yamagata: thinking the same thing as reon? him being a trainer at the gym would be cool too, i think.

his team - druddigon, arctibax, tyrantrum (<- very tentative... i do really like tyrantrum for him though)

again, he probably has other pokemon that were with him on his original journey that he doesn't use for the gym battles. i don't have any ideas for those though. if i'm honest, i don't think about yamagata much despite really liking the stz third years lol.

shirabu: so, the original plan for shirabu was for him to be a contest coordinator bc that's what yahaba is? and i wanted them to be rivals lol. but i think him being a regular trainer would make sense too so maybe he does both? really admires ushijima.

i think he and yahaba have almost gotten into fist fights at several contests. everyone wonders how they haven't been banned from competing lol.

really unsure how i feel about these picks for him tbh. (except for feebas and altaria, i esp like feebas :3)

his team - altaria, feebas, audino, beedrill

taichi: trainer, probably? traveling with shirabu. i haven't really fully thought out what he's doing tbh. i kinda really like his team though hehe.

his team - jangmo-o, liepard, espathra, inkay

goshiki: trainer!!! really admires ushijima, wants to beat him and become the next champion. working really hard on that goal.

his team - dreepy, dedenne, cubchoo, wimpod

The Axew Family

You know, I always thought Axew was one of Gen 5’s pseudo-legendary families, like how Gen 3 had multiple, but no, it actually comes up a few points short in the stats department. Huh. Oh well.

Anyways, Axew is a little baby dinosaur-dragon that is best characterized by the large, flat tusks growing out of its mouth. It feels like one of the more cutesy, marketable Dragon types out there, which may have been the intention since it was featured prominently in the anime alongside everyone's favorite Pikachu. It's alright, I like its more saurian appearance, and the green palette is nice.

Fraxure is about what you’d expect for a dragon middle stage by now, a bigger and burlier version of the first form that hasn’t gotten too giant yet. I like it for what it is through, the overall darker palette and longer tusks are neat. Almost every point of its body ending in red spots make for nice highlights too.

Haxorus marks this family’s last stage, and as far as grounded dragons go it’s pretty nice. I like its limited palette, mostly sticking to that murky lime green, with the occasion red and black accents. The tusks transforming into full on battle axe-shaped blades are cool too.

I would be somewhat surprised if fans of Generation One’s artstyle didn’t like Haxorus, since in my mind it follows a lot of the same design philosophies. It’s got a heavily segmented body, especially around the neck, with only a few colors, and has a very dinosaur-like build to it. Give it a triangular anime eye instead of the glassy black scleras it’s got now, and I’m sure it would fit right alongside Nidoking.

Score: 4/5

Simple and effective.

Hiccup Haddock in my Big Four/ROTBTD AU of Pokemon. He's the son of Berk City's Mayor and Gym Leader, of Dragon-Types that will someday be his. Like his mother, Hiccup must train six dragon-type pokemon, form a strong bond with them, challenge gyms to see and understand how they work and how each gym leader brings them out, find a Mega stone (or two) and Mega Evolve the ones that can! Hiccup has a Mega Ring under his left sleeve.

Pokemon:

*(Toothless) Noibat - to - Noivern: (I know that people think that Toothless/Hiccup's first pokemon should be a shiny or a normal Charmander-Charizard that Mega Evolves into Mega Charizard X, but Noivern looks more like a Night Fury!) A Noibat that a young Hiccup found injured and alone, so he nursed him back to health and the two became a team as their friendship grew. Toothless evolves into Noivern on their journey so Hiccup can become a Dragon Trainer and Berk's new Gym Leader.

*(Heads) Deino - to - Hydreigon: While a young Hiccup and Noibat Toothless were playing they saw a trainer releasing his Deino, for being playful then strong. At first Hiccup tries to help Deino become stronger so her trainer would take her back, but when they were ready they overheard him saying that the only reason why he caught his former dark/dragon-type in the place was because he wanted a powerful Hydreigon. This got Hiccup to ask his mother for another poke ball. Hiccup named her after her powerful head butts and she evolves into Zweilous and then later into Hydreigon on their journey.

*(Chomp) Gible - to - Garchomp: When Hiccup was ready to leave Berk his mother gave him a newly hatched Gible and the task to find a Garchompite, Berk's gym is known for having a Mega Evolving Dragon-type in battle. Meaning that Hiccup must train and raise him into the gym's next Mega Dragon. Chomp evolves into Gabite and then to Garchomp on their journey.

*(Blade) Bagon - to - Salamence: When Hiccup was ready to leave Berk his mother gave him a newly hatched Bagon and the task to find a Salamencite, Berk's gym is known for having a Mega Evolving Dragon-type in battle. Which leads to Hiccup training and raising her into the gym's next Mega Dragon. (When the time comes for Hiccup to be given the keys to the gym, he must choose between her and Chomp.) Blade didn't see eye to eye with Hiccup until she evolved into Shelgon and then into Salamence on their journey.

*(Weed) Skrelp - to - Dragalge: On Hiccup's journey he go's fishing in hopes to find a Skrelp, a dragon/Poison-type that can help him with Fairy-types, Weed didn't see his trainer as a friend at first, but it all changed when he evolved into Dragalge to save his trainer's life when Hiccup risked his for him.

*(Tusk) Axew - to - Haxorus: When Hiccup was passing a Dragon Sanctuary, he spots a shiny Axew among the nest of the guardian Haxorus. The sanctuary was later attacked and Hiccup helped the young pokemon save his friends. The sanctuary's guardian thanked him for his help and lets one of his young join the trainer's team; Tusk evolves into Fraxure and then into Haxorus on their journey together.

Pokemon Evil Team

I am a fan of Pokemon, and my "home" region I suppose would be Unova. As such, I've made an evil team for Unova. I know "Team Buddy" started out there and is a huge universe that people love, but I hope that my story is fun enough and creative to warrant some more exploration!

Basic premise - The Gym leaders are not always at their stations, or sometimes ignore challengers or use the challengers in ways they do not consent (Elesa's modeling/dangerous coaster ride). Fed up with these so called "puzzles," Team Mirror aims to replace the lazy gym leaders with their own. And show the league that they take their job seriously.

Other team members would make up gym trainers and fall under one of the 7 admins, or their leader.

Leader - Coby Team - Amoongus, Drapion, Crobat, Scolipede, Toxicroak, Tentacruel (ace) Grunt team - Foongus, Venipede line up to Scolipede, Trubbish line

Admin Seth (demands that Striaton pick one gym leader, like the rest of the world) Team - Watchog, Liligant, Alomomola, Darmanitan (ace) Grunt team - Petilil, Basculin, Darumaka

Admin Nick (hates the idea of the puzzles around Lenora's gym and also wants to expand triple battle recognition. Team is made up of supporters for his Bouffalant) Team - Audino, Cinccino, Bouffalant (ace) Grunt team - Audino, Minccino line, Patrat line, Lilipup line

Admin Gage (loves the aesthetic of Burgh's Pokemon gyms, but due to Burgh being all over the place in the city, got frustrated with him) Team - Galvantula, Crustle, Durant, Volcarona (ace) Grunt team - Dwebble, Joltik, Karrablast, Shelmet, Sewaddle line

Admin Kelly (the unsafe rollercoaster that Elesa keeps up makes Kelly frustrated that Elesa does not care about those who go to her theme park) Team - Klang, Stunfisk, Eelektross (ace) Grunt team - Klink line up to Klang, Stunfisk, Blitzle line, Tynamo line up to Eelektrik

Admin Sara (a Pokemon Breeder helping her little sibling lead the team) Team - Rhyperior, Krookidile, Seismitoad, Nidoqueen, Gliscor (ace) Grunt team - Drilbur, Sandile line up to Krokorok, Stunfisk, Golett, or baby pokemon.

Admin Alicia (an Ice Pokemon fan who wanted to be the next gym leader after Brycen, and went away to study the ninja ways of Ice types. Hates Marlon and Brycen and will take over both Brycen and Marlon's gym) Team - Cryogonal, Froslass, Weavile (ace) Grunt team - Cryogonal, Cubchoo, Vannilite line, Sneasel

Admin Drow (thinks that Iris is too young/Drayden is too old) Team - Fraxure, Druddigon, Hydreigon (ace) Grunt team - Axew line up to Fraxure, Druddigon, Deino line up to Zweilous

Basic story, you go around learning from different people who claim that one gym leader is the real one. Each gym has double the gym trainers and leaders and the player has to figure out the real one.

If they choose the gym trainer/leader, they will not be given a chance to heal by the grunt/admin (except for Admin Sara and Leader Coby).

Coby, after her team is defeated, goes on to a special bracket in the World Tournament known as "Big Bosses" who are all villain admins and leaders. World Tournament Team - Amoongus, Crobat, Seviper, Toxicroak, Gengar, Tentacruel (Ace)

Beefcake my purified Machamp. Named because he’s full stats and XXL

Strumpet my teeny tiny Salandit. We love our short queens lmao

Gummi my shiny Salamence. Cuddlebug but will crush me if I let him

AAAND Stempy my shiny Incineroar. Buddy is a doofus but we love him <3

I'm Six. Ex-pokemon trainer who works in the slateport city pokemon contest hall. i dont battle much anymore and am just tried. quit after getting all 8 honen badges i just wasn't enjoying it anymore. my pokemon and I are adjusting to not being on the move constantly.

my guys:

Galexy: Shiny Espeon, i got her as an eevee in a trade. shes my service pokemon and I have papers so she can always be at my side even when I have six other pokemon. shes sillay

Salex: A female Fraxure. She requries a lot of extra work since we aren't always working off her engery battling. Her tusk is cracked so we have to be very careful in general.

Miva: Female Mismagius. She perfers to stay at home thankfully. I love her but her species is known for their curses lol

Koi: Male Seabass. He hangs out in his tank when I'm home. Otherwise he's in his pokeball or out on the beach with me. Not opposed to being carried around but he prefers the water. (duh.)

Duke: Male Aggron. Big guy who loves to be pet. Makes a great spot for Galexy to sleep on.
