Hi, are you guys tired of my theories yet? I'm about to yap this is less of a theory and more of me just writing down my thoughts

Fast pass spoilers ahead! (So sorry)

Mr. Thomas, Kidnappings, Paper Cranes, A little bit of Ryan

I saw someone ask why the people who kidnapped the parent's outfits are different from the people who kidnapped the kids' outfits. I didn't want to reblog or comment since obvi there's some spoilers in here, so creds to @/hozaloza for pointing this out!!

I think it's because the group that kidnapped the kids were not the same people who kidnapped their parents.

A while ago, when we first saw the paper cranes group, one of them said they needed to lie low because "both sides were tracking them down" for their stunt in savanna.

I've said this before, but it's very likely that the paper cranes are a secret group within the Contamination Facility that have been taking care of everyone affected by the "fungus." "Both sides" being the kids and the bigger group they all work for.

It's because of this that I don't think Mr. Thomas is a part of the paper cranes despite having them on his desk (HEAR ME OUT). He is more clueless when it comes to the phantom world, whereas the paper cranes are more familiar with it. Ryan reacts nonchalantly compared to Mr. Thomas, who's understandably confused.

When Ryan talks to "The boss," He puts Mr. Thomas's name in quotes (most likely a fake name so he'd be able to work at the school). The boss later confesses that he plans on getting rid of him to Ryan.

So, while yes, I do think he's associated with the paper cranes, I wouldn't go as far as to say he's affiliated with them since they plan to betray him (but who knows, I could be dead wrong in assuming that the literal BAD GUYS wouldn't betray each other 😭😭 (they prob would)).

Mr. Thomas also tells the children that they're sick, which lines up with what Alex explained to Ash about their condition. He could always just be lying, but he'd have no reason to. Ash was already passing out, and I doubt he'd go out of his way to do so. When we see Jasmine kidnap Tyler, she simply apologizes for waking him before putting him back to sleep (no explanation). The circumstances are obviously different, Ash got away the first time they sedated her and Tyler was already sleeping when it happened, but it's worth noting.

I'd also like to bring up how, in the fast pass, Alex tells Ash that their parents have been "informed about the situation," so he's either

Lying to calm her

Doesn't know that the parents have been kidnapped and is going off of information one of the paper cranes gave him

Telling the truth and the parents are there but perfectly fine!!!

Some other details that I found but didn't know what to do with/wanted to mention:

Mr. Thomas's eye bags and Ryan's reactions.

Idk his eye bags are incredibly noticeable. At first, I assumed it was because he was also in the Phantom realm, seeing as he noticed ashs shadow was different, but we know from Alex that the rift between the two worlds was permanently closed after the kids went into the sorrel weed house. I didn't have another explanation to tie this in with the theory, so I'll just drop it here.

Ryan seems a little uncomfortable while talking to the boss here. It's a small detail, but Red added it, so I'm assuming it's important!! It reminded me of the scene with Tyler and Taylor in chapter 34, where Tyler tells Tay to stay back while he goes and checks to see what the sound from downstairs was. It then cuts to a panel of Taylor being upset and looking away, much like what Ryan does here. (Parallels or whatever)

But then again, he looks fine when following Mike's car, so who the hell knows 🤷‍♂️🤷‍♂️

It's late, and I've been working on this for wayyyyyy too long. I forgot what else I was gonna add, but I ran out of pictures, so I'm ending it here !! My writing is awful lol I hope this made sense

TLDR: The people who kidnapped the kids are not the same people who kidnapped the parents.

The contamination facility isn't bad, just the paper cranes.

Birds of Prey #2 continues off the highs of #1 as it continues the story. But what of Cass within it? Well, here are my thoughts on the issue pertaining to Cass.

So the opening pages feature a flashback with Sin and Dinah which makes me feel really old honestly. Given the last time we saw Sin was quite some time ago (Gail Simone's last run on BoP before the dark times. Before the New 52).

But this flashback feels more akin to near when Gail's first run on BoP was wrapping up. We get a "Pokemon" mention (Sin did love those and even got Barda ironically on them. Those who know well tie into why Barda is fully into helping Dinah with this).

So it's clear writer Kelly Thompson knows her history and even acknowledges that the League of Assassins wants Sin (who were in the first issue).

However, not acknowledged is well on the "why".

With all the weaving she's doing, in this issue (and last). I just feel it makes more sense as to "why" Cass and Barda's reasons for helping Dinah are more clear than say Zealot's (I still want to see this story with her and Dinah) and Harley.

Though if we take this as "years" ago, boy howdy does this open a can of worms with Cass's age again. Like, prior to the New 52 and Cass's reintroduction, she was like possibly in her early 20s (same age as Jason Todd).

Then the New 52 came around, and she was 18. More closer to the age group Duke/Tim/Steph/Harper were in this era for sure. So that bit is confusing in this current DC landscape where she could be in her early 20s again or not.

Eh, this is just me overthinking the history angles anyway. So it isn't too worrisome. 😅 But I do like these nuggets that with characterization Thompson is laying the seeds for long-time readers to enjoy. While letting new readers just enjoy this ride.

This issue is another enjoyment. There's just so much good going on in this issue. Besides the stuff with Dinah, we get a better reason for what Harley brings to the team, interaction with her and Zealot.

Speaking of that, Harley lets slip this issue she "sorta" fought with Cass compared to what we got the last issue. So maybe Cass was just a "bad storyteller".

So who said Cass jobbed "hard" to Harley, well maybe it was more Cass's impression on the scuffle that led her to respect Harley's chaotic nature.

Unlike ANOTHER story in another DC comic last month that had Cass jobbing...

But the stuff with Cass this issue is sprinkled lightly. Unlike the hearty amount last issue, we get pieces and I'm okay with that.

This is a team comic, not a duo ongoing that-- I sorely miss.

But the stuff we got here is gold with the slight amount we get. Just more Cass/Barda goodness (which is obvious Thompson knows is gold). More glorious art and fight sequences drawn by Leonardo Romero.

Like the teleportation between Dinah and a surprise guest star (so close to a Spirit World reunion), Barda/Cass, and Zealot/Harley all converging was sweet.

The other most interesting thing I have to say pertaining to Cass is how she still hasn't unmasked in the series. It feels different to see Cass unmasked in Batgirls 😭and Spirit World.

Here?

She's all business. Kinda very Bruce-like even. It's a little refreshing.

I also dig her web suit in the issue basically being her Batgirl suit with an oxygen mask and backpack. With zero capes on her back to cause harm.

So even though she didn't do much, this still was a fun appearance. Not awing like the last issue, but again this is a team book.

Zealot and Harley needed this issue. Along with Dinah being the singular focus in this arc. I can dig it.

Birds of Prey #2 continues the plot and gives us a tiny bit of Cass to wet our appetites for the next issue: her vs. Amazons.

No off-screen being beat. We gonna get her facing Amazons ON PANEL with WAAAAAY better characterization in the next few issues.

SWEET.

Again, I'm really enjoying this series and really curious about the twists and turns this goes down as it continues. I have curious questions not pertaining to Cass (like Future Maps and her story), and again Zealot/Dinah.

But this is some good stuff.

J2 Gold Panel DC Con 2023

To start off the panel Jared notices that a fan's shirt says the only thing they're putting jeans and boots on for this weekend is food, whiskey, and Jensen Ackles, and he says he takes his jeans off for Jensen...sir in front of everyone 👀

First question comes from a fan who got them candy but Jensen throws Jared's so Jared has to go get them 😆 For anyone confused this is because the fan got Jared Twizzlers since he said he liked them at the last con but Jensen doesn't like them and prefers red vines.

What snacks do they eat when watching the football game?

Jensen answers chips and salsa.

Jared says he has a funny story, when they worked together they did an ep about a lucky penny, and one Sunday Tom Welling who was still doing Smallville went over and they did a BBQ, and Tom brought some family salad recipe that had Doritos in it and some maui ribs and some other stuff, so they eat then a couple days later Jared comes home late from work or something and he's a little hungry so he goes to the fridge and sees the Maui ribs that Tom had brought over. He snacked on them, went to bed, and didn't realize until the next morning that the ribs had been raw. I literally screamed when he said this, as y'all can guess he was dog sick.

And Jensen says the problem is that Jared didn't realize they were uncooked until he asked him about them! They lived together at the time so Jensen got home looking for the ribs cause he wanted to cook them and when he asked Jared about them Jared replied he ate them well he knows Jared and he knows he isn't going to fire up the grill when he's hungry he just eats but he still asks how he cooked them, and that's when Jared tells him he didn't cook them he just ate them.

How do you make a mistake like this??? 😭

So, poor Jared is sick as a dog, and the next day they're filming in Squamish, the whole ride there he's trying not to throw up. He gets there, they look at him, and send him to his trailer. Then they call a nurse to give him a shot of vitamin B and some other stuff so most of the coverage of them when they're in the booth talking to each other when Jensen is talking it's not to him he was in his trailer for like 8hrs throwing up and with diarrhea.

Jensen says he was like "I don't want him projectile vomiting unto me, get him out off here and get a stand in and put a wig on the guy."

Then he jokes that he realized how much better the experience is so for the next 8 seasons he didn't work with the guy and Jared quips but they still lived together. x

Something interesting is that Jensen says they were roommates for all of s4, but Jared says 5 as well and Jensen's like no, it was only one season but that if Jared wants to stretch it into 2 that's fine and Jared goes 4 to 12. Like seasons 4 to 12. And I just find it a very interesting exchange especially Jared's reaction when Jensen tries to deny that they lived together for more than one season he throws his hands up and goes 'fine, fine' like how one does when you know someone is lying about something or remembering incorrectly but you're not gonna argue with them about it.

If they could give each other stripper or porn names what would they be?

Jensen and I had the same confusion cause we both thought this person was saying board games 🤣

Jensen first understood board games, then it was porn games and he was like who ordered an extra sausage on their pizza to which Jared raises his hand and Jensen goes "it's a spicy meatball" and Jared replies "two of them". 😂

Jared says Moosetacular has a certain je ne sais quoi and Jensen says Mooseknuckle. Jensen asks if there isn't a certain formula to figure out your porn name and the fans give different answers but Jared says they're doing the name of their first pet and the name of the street they grew up on so he is Booty Montclair. That's actually fantastic. And Jensen is Pudgy Midway. x

Did Jared ever get his knee fixed?

Jared says no but he's there and loving it. He's treating it with physical therapy and rehabbing it. Jensen says Jared is learning to live with it much like he did with him. And can I just say he does not look happy he even kind of cuts Jared off when he's finishing answering the question and picks out the next fan to ask something. I think he wishes Jared would take care of it which is understandable, he's probably worried about him, but I gotta say I understand where Jared is coming from for not having the surgery sometimes the remedy is worse than the sickness. x

Is cereal a soup?

Jared says no. Jensen says technically yeah, it's just grain soup, or multigrain soup.

Jared says that you cook soup but the crowd points out gazpacho which is an uncooked, cold soup.

Jensen says he doesn't know if there are milk-based soups, there is cream sometimes in soup but it's traditionally in a broth base, there has to be some sort of broth but someone mentions clam chowder and that has a cream base so Jensen says the fan is right.

Jared asks the fan what they think and they say it is a soup like a hot dog is a sandwich and that's when he loses the crowd and also Jensen who says no. And Jared pats Jensen's chest to calm him down. x

How often do they think about the Roman Empire?

They both know they're being asked this for a reason but Jared doesn't know what the reason is, Jensen does because he had been asked this the previous night for the first time. He answers several times a week. But he hadn't thought about that until he was asked.

Jared says he doesn't think about it unless maybe if he's in Rome but Jeensen tells him to think about all the things that he does think about that are related to the Roman empire so he might not even realize that he's thinking about it.

For context, the reason they were asked about this is because it's a TikTok trend right now to ask men how often they think about the Roman Empire because apparently, men think about the Roman Empire a lot. x

Have they ever been star-struck meeting another celeb?

Jensen says Jared is a big fan of Pearl Jam, and they went to a charity concert where the lead singer of the band, Eddie Vedder was performing and they got the chance to meet him, after he played, in a very intimate setting probably no more than the people in the room at that moment. So they walk up and someone introduces them, and Jared just stiffens up and Jensen's trying to play it cool, and Eddie in true rock and roll fashion is smoking a cigarette. Jared, who does not smoke, asks if he can get a drag of the cigarette, Jensen just turns to look at him, and Eddie slowly hands him the cigarette so Jared grabs it out of his hand, takes a puff of the cigarette, coughs, and goes to hand it back and Eddie goes "you keep it" so Jensen told him it was nice to meet him, walked Jared to the parking lot and they left.

Jared says he left, went home and flew back to Van at like 6am and was like "I always wish I wouldn't act like that" x

If there were a movie made about their lives who would they want playing them?

Jensen jokes Barry Watson would play Jared. Jared shares the story about how one time Sandy was flying from LA to go visit him in Van and the guy she was sitting next to asked what she was traveling for, she said she was going to visit her boyfriend, guy asked what the boyfriend does she tells him he's filming a show called Supernatural that just started, and the guy says he has seen it and asks if her boyfriend is the short one or the one from 7th Heaven. He thought Jared was Barry Watson.

Jensen goes Meryl Streep cause she can do anything.

Jared says Meryl Streep and Daniel Day-Lewis could play Jensen better than Jensen. x

Next fan challenges Jensen to rock, paper, scissors.

What is a sports moment they wish they could go back and change or are still mad about?

Jensen says he has two. First, when he was in the 9th-grade basketball team there was a very important game and they needed a win. He stole the ball and had a breakaway layup on the other end, he thought he was gonna be king of the school but he airballed it which means he missed the shot. He wishes he could take that back. The second moment was in his senior year he was on the baseball team and he was batting against a guy who went on to have a very long career in the major leagues. The guy was Kerry Wood, he's a pitcher and he was throwing 90 mph as an 18-year-old.

So they have a runner on first and he looks down the third base coach to get his signal cause they give him a signal on what to do and basically through signals they told him he was gonna send the runner to steal second but they needed him to swing away to rob the catcher from throwing him out on second base so he was supposed to swing the ball but Wood's threw a 90+ mph fastball that he never saw. The runner got thrown out on second base, Jensen struck out, and the coach was not happy.

Jared says he thinks it says something about them that they don't remember game-winning goals cause what he remembers is when he was like 11 or 12yrs old- if you get fouled in basketball while shooting you get two shots but sometimes the foul count is at like 8 and you get a foul dribbling which means you get a one-one so you get the first shot and you can get a second shot so he got a one-one and shot the free throw and missed which meant the ball was still in play. But everybody is standing around waiting for him to make the second shot which he wasn't entitled to but he realizes nobody was aware the ball was still in play so he tells his team mate who the ball had bounced over to to pass it to him and he drives straight down the lane and he missed the layup so the other team got the score.

As somebody who knows nothing about sports this was very confusing.

Also, Jensen was trying to ask Jared a question about this and Jared wasn't understanding so Jensen just slaps his arm to get his attention. x

And that was the Gold panel! Real quickly I want to mention that according to the fan who recorded this panel Jensen was checking up on Jared prior to going on the stage to make sure he was okay because this is a very emotional con.

For those who may still not know Krista, also known as Kreespa, who has provided the fandom with wonderful panel recordings over the years was sadly diagnosed with terminal cancer and this was the last convention she was attending so it was dedicated to her. That's why you'll see them wearing a green shirt that says Kristacon on it.

Laughing at your members’ messages, you tapped your foot anxiously as you waited for the elevator for a second time that day. Dozens of notifications popped up on your phone by the second, the device vibrating restlessly.

“Um... Y/n sunbaenim?” A raspy voice startled you.

Frenetically shoving your phone inside your pocket, you turned around to see Jungwon. He bowed nervously, wiping the sweat that accumulated on his forehead from dancing for thirty minutes straight.

“Oh, hey, Jungwon.” You forced a smile and nodded, the atmosphere slowly getting awkward. You noticed how the song's volume lowered, now being limited to muffled, distant sounds. “It's good to see you!”

“Uh- yeah! Same.” He tried to mirror your gesture, but his nervousness got him. His face scrunched in a shy manner, dimples poking out and a hand rubbing the nape of his neck. “Sora sunbaenim called me at the same time that we, you know— we kind of... made eye contact! Yeah, made eye contact. I thought something was wrong. Um... is something wrong? Were you watching me?”

Your mouth opened and closed, your phone still vibrating inside your pocket. He seems way more nervous than I do, you thought.

“No, not at all!” You lied quickly, internally grimacing and apologizing to Jungwon for your fake statement. You wished you could practice that night, but he was enjoying himself a lot in 4-2. That moment you realized that if you succeeded on getting him out of the studio, you'd finally have a chance to work, but you wouldn't ever forgive yourself for ruining his adorable moment of happiness. “Sora might've called you on accident. I just happened to be passing by, and you caught my attention! You're a really good dancer.”

His cat-like eyes visibly lit up with your compliment. It was endearing how touched he felt for such a small phrase. You grinned, proud that the commentary you made was genuine.

“You think so?” Jungwon gave you a warm smile, one that made him look like he was asking for a confirmation that you weren't joking around, that you really liked his dancing. His head tilted to the side, red hair flowing down (his baby hair didn't move, sticking to his skin because of the sweat).

A nod from you was everything he needed. Bowing again, he sighed happily. “Thank you, sunbaenim!”

Ding!

The elevator arrived, the bell almost interrupting Yang. If he wasn't speaking so fastly (which he did because of his anxiousness), the sound would've cut his sentence midway, leaving the moment a bit more weird between you two.

“I guess I need to go,” you spoke, walking inside the place and pressing number 5.

“Take care, sunbaenim! It's late already.” You heard him warning you from afar. The frequent use of the honorific nearly made you laugh. If the tension wasn't big, or if you weren't so bad at talking to people one-on-one, you would've cackled right there.

“Jungwon!” Calling out, you held a button with your index, stopping the door from closing. The guy behind the security cameras was having a blast with your interactions.

The boy hurriedly went in front of the elevator, gazing at you with confusion in his features. “Yes?”

“You don't need to call me sunb-! No!” The entrance shut itself and you groaned in despair, realizing that your finger left the panel too soon. Burying your face in your hands, you cringed at your behavior towards Jungwon.

From the other side of the door, Jungwon understood what you wanted to say, even though you were interrupted. He knew he probably looked like a fool beaming and smiling at the metal entry, however, he simply savoured the cringeworthy moment — your first real talk. His head spiraled with thoughts about you that night, a lovesick twinkle in his eyes.

Hi I'm new to the fandom and not gonna lie for a long time I was confused about why would anyone ship Rivamika because it always seemed like Levi was barely aware of Mikasa and Mikasa hated Levi or disliked him. I started reading the manga last week and I'm honestly surprised by how little changes made a huge different. WIT always made it seem like Mikasa didn't care about anyone other than Ereh and I believe they are the reason why everyone makes fun of Mikasa for being obsessed. I genuinely thought "I love her but she's very ungrateful and rude sometimes, their strongest soldier hurt his ankle when they needed him the most because of her and all she cared about is Ereh" but it's not like that in the manga. She actually feels guilty and responsible which is a great panel to show how character development. A 3 seconds scene would do so much good to Mikasa's character but WIT somehow didn't want to include that scene. Even in S3 it seemed like they would like to keep them apart and don't let them interact even though there was a huge reveal about them. And I think it's not only WIT. Even Isayama himself is almost afraid to let them interact and I'm not talking about shipping here. Imagine finding out that someone experienced the same things as you did, have this weird mysterious power thing going on and that person is your Captain whom you made it clear that you trust and respect now. It's crazy to me that they don't even talk and compare their experiences etc???? Again, it's not even about shipping, it pisse me off because it feels like Mikasa isn't allowed to have anything of her own, the reason why Mikasa ships aren't popular isn't because she's not loved, it's because Isayama, WIT and even Mappa didn't let her have many meaningful interactions. Hell, even with Armin (they are supposed to be a trio) it sometimes feel like they were just hanging out for Eren. Ughhh they could at least let Mikasa have Ackermans for her own. She could interact more with Levi and even with Kenny for a sec. So disappointing :(

The “I didn’t get how people shipped rivamika” thing is common tbh, don’t worry! I was on that train too until I stopped to think about everything implied between the lines—most of it being in the manga, as you said. I know people say things like we ‘grasp at straws’ but there is realistically fantastic depth we can assume from their closeness as comrades alone. The magic of Rivamika as a ship is it takes more deep knowledge of the characters to understand why it WORKS so well. And when you get it, gosh, it’s amazing!

We definitely agree too, that WIT cut such crucial scenes to Mikasa’s character. I will never understand their choices… And I’ll forever grieve it 😭 That scene of self-reflection and guilt over Levi’s injury/absence is important because it’s the first time she finally thought outside of her tunnel vision of Eren. Ultimately, she learns to care about what happens to others as a result of her actions, which quite literally starts with Levi.

I also agree, it seems like Yams started the Ackerman reveal + arc but decided midway not to commit to it or develop it. It explained their strength, but that was it. It’s strange that even in the anime they chose not to explain that Ackerman’s are Titan DNA hybrids. That seems like a crucial piece but I wonder why they didn’t think it was important. Because then the whole “Ackerman’s are immune to x and x” has no narrative proof at all.

I like to think Ackertalk happened behind the scenes. I like reading everyone’s versions of it—but always a shame we never got that in canon. It’s even strange because they both lost their entire families, so finding out you’re from the same people should at least create a sense of bonding or they’d take on a slightly familial role, or SOMETHING. (Though I’m glad it didn’t go that route because people would REALLY think they’re cOuSiNs lol) But it’s just strange Yams introduced these things that ended up really having not much purpose, or none at all. (Don’t get me started on the Azumabito shit)

I still hope and manifest for some sort of Ackerman spin off that explores this. Can you imagine? Levi and Mikasa (the cash cows of AOT, we say!) venturing off post-war to discover more about the Ackerman’s? Or to retrace and find surviving Ackerman’s outside the world?

Episode 35 Doom Boycotts the Space Olympics I realized the text was hard to read in the long post so here's some color so you can tell which episode is being watched

Despite the crowds I actually thought this was one of the most fun anime expos for me and I've been going since 2011. Though I mainly go for the artist alley and exhibit hall to buy stuff, don't really pay attention to panels so I can't say anything for those. People kept complaining about lines to get in and waited an hour but there was literally an entrance that NEVER had a line and staff was constantly telling people to go to the other entrance but I guess I can understand how confusing it is if you're not from the area. I never waited more than 5 minutes to get in. The problem was that everyone would just follow the crowds and not really look anywhere else 😭

It was hot this year but not NEARLY as bad as past years. Though I don't think they were running the air conditioning that well in exhibit hall the first 2 days bc I was on fire. The hottest it got was like 85 but I've been to cons when it was like 100s outside so it was more tolerable.

I will say the crowd vibes were super weird and people did smell bad. God especially when I went into the 18+ section 😭 luckily I had my mask on the whole weekend so that kinda helped? Exhibit hall doesn't really sell anything I care about anymore :( it's just the same demon slayer Hatsune Miku and dragon ball figures it's been for like the last 6+ years and it's kinda boring.

Artist alley had SOOOO many amazing artists. I couldn't find much aot fanart and the one booth I did find one but I already bought all their stuff before JGFUDJSJDJ.

I tried to go to cosplay meetups the first 2 days and staff did NOT know how to help people navigate to them at all. I missed a fruits basket gathering bc staff told me to go the wrong direction completely even when I showed a picture of the location :') I tried to go to a genshin meetup but the location was too small and too crowded and it created a fire hazard so they canceled it 20 mins in 🥲 aaaaand there was an aot meetup but I was so frustrated that I just gave up trying to go to them so hffhdhshchfh

I went to the 21+ area and got a couple drinks and maybe gotten a little hammered aaaaand impulsively made stupid financial decisions chdjdjfjfjfjfjvj and like....this group of guys kept trying to ask me and my friend questions and they were being uh a little sus haha 😬 (I thought I wouldn't have to deal with m*n if I dressed up like one BUT I WAS WRONG)

I BOUGHT AO MUCH SHIT YALL I saved up 2 months worth of tips for this con and I spent like...80% of that fund...🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲😭😭🥲 but WORTH IT BC the stuff I bought was so pretty aaaaaaAAA

ALSO ALSO people liked my cosplay and I was so happy. There were a lot of Yor cosplayers so I mostly stuck with Thoma for the weekend and 🥺 attention from women 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 loved it 🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺🥺 I wasn't expecting ppl to ask for my ig but it happened a couple of times so I panicked and gave my art IG and TURNED OUT THEY WERE ARTISTS TOOO so that was cool!!! There were a lot of amazing cosplayers and I got too shy to ask for pics But I WISH I DID BC....THERE WERE AMAZING KUROO AND KENMA....AND XIAO AND ITTO I M DJDJDHDHDHDH and a couple of Thomas were like "AYYYY THOMA" Hehe...I didddddd get a pics with a lot Ayaka and Ayato ones too uwuOH AND CHILDE

There were def a few guys that tried to act like...idk 😭😭 so weird when I was cosplaying as Yor and just said the most random shit to me and all I did was laugh uncomfortably gjfjdjdjsj

Artist alley was crowded as fuck though and the people were SOOOO pushy at some points. Like not even saying excuse me or anything...I got cut in line a lot and I don't like to be confrontational but the people I went with were def getting annoyed.

Overall though I a had a lot of fun. I keep seeing people say people weren't checking vaccine cards and stuff but at least the first day they were pretty diligent about checking them, and people would boot you out if you didn't have a wristband signifying you were confirmed already.

BUT YAAAAA the complaints Abt the crowd and lines is like...kinda whatever to me like I didn't think people would be surprised? AX is notorious for the crowds and especially after 2 years this was gonna be the worst one for that. I'm probably gonna go back next year bc it's one of the ones that I enjoy the most like there's SOOOO many amazing cosplayers on a much bigger scale than a lot of other cons and the artists that get in are so talented. I'm REALLY hoping I can grab a table FOR SURE next year 😭 WELL SEE YEAH idk if you read this far wow I am sorry LMAO

“Shut up Dabi.” You gritted through your teeth, making sure to tie the torn fabric a bit too tight around his arm, feeling a bit of satisfaction when he grunted. You tried to convince yourself that you weren’t doing this out of the kindness of your heart- you were only doing it because you got tired of his blood seeping onto your clothes. And because you were stuck in this deserted, cramped office until the heroes outside decided to give up on their search.

You weren’t expecting to run into Dabi here, and you weren’t expecting to have to fight the heroes on patrol together.

You would’ve ran and left him to fight alone as Dabi was someone you took to avoid at every chance- he’s annoying, but too deadly of a threat to be ignored or to be taken lightly, and he made it a personal goal to go out of his way to make his presence known in your life, no matter how much you tried to do the opposite. You were about to curse at him for getting in your way (again) when an arrow whizzed past your ear, and your cheek stinging seconds afterwards with something thin trickling down.

You saw Dabi narrow his eyes, suck his teeth, and shot a wave of blue flames straight behind you. There were too many heroes for either of you to escape, and thus you found yourself fighting alongside him until you could make a run for it.

You wished you would’ve left now, considering how much blood you’re losing yourself. You keep pressing against the deep wound on your stomach, but the world around you is blurry and your wheezing is getting worse with each breath. You knew that hero was a good shot, but not that good.

You’re fighting to keep your eyes open, cursing at the dusty ceiling for ending up like this-

“Hey, don’t fall asleep on me just yet.” Dabi nudged you, and your head snapped to meet his gaze. Against the shadows on the wall, it looked as if his turquoise eyes glowed in the dark- it was a haunting yet beautiful sight. “We still have some things we need to talk about.”

“What would we need to talk about? And why would you care if I-“ you didn’t want to be a coward in front of him, but you couldn’t bring yourself to finish the sentence.

“If you died?” He finished it for you mockingly. “You’re more fun than the league is, and after today, it made me realize you could be used for a lot more. The start of a beautiful friendship.” He chuckled, and it made your stomach churn.

He placed his hand directly on your stomach, and you hissed, wincing in pain. His hand, the one that he used to take so many lives without hesitation, was the same hand providing you such warmth. It was eerie to think about. That could be why it seemed like his hand was getting…hotter?

“Can’t just let you leave me now, not after how you helped me out. This is going to hurt, so you might wanna bite down.”

You were confused, until the heat on your skin was getting hotter.

You tried to push him away but he held you down without an issue. The flames licking at his fingertips scared you, and you were so petrified that you were about to beg him to let you go, but he shoved something in between your teeth. You locked eyes with him once more and shook your head, pleading with him, but he just gazed at you with no emotion, only telling you to hold still.

“I think it’s time I returned the favor.“
