DBH MODDING (3) - CONNOR OUTFIT BEGINNINGS
Hello everyone and
Dear Diary
It's time for another mod diary entry and I'm losing my mind. Welcome to chewtoy central, next stop insanity. You can find my last entry here where I talk a bit about general textures.
It’s 14/01/23 and I’m going feral, BUT I'm pleased to announce that I made progress on the things I was stuck on last time! I'm going feral because there's someone out there who knows how to make Connor into a SWAT officer and I desperately want that in my life, but it looks like I have to figure this shit out by myself. Anyway, I:
Fixed the bug in Russian Roulette by starting a new playthrough.
Can edit and import DDS files I was struggling with.
Downloaded GIMP instead of Blender to edit those DDS files.
Have a modded beanie Connor snooping through Hank's wardrobe as a celebration for getting past that bug:
Tumblr media
I downloaded GIMP 2.0 because I stupidly deleted it from my PC like a month ago. I don't have Photoshop, so I'm going to use GIMP to edit the DDS files I was talking about last time I wrote.
I followed this tutorial which I linked in my last entry. I did my recolour and exported it which looks like the image below. If you're having trouble with GIMP, read this forum post. It sorted out my issue! In the end, I had pink-android-markers Kara!
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Anyway, so... Then I wanted to immediately mess around with Connor's uniform. I have a design in mind, which I started working on below:
I wanted the Juicy font (Old London) to be on the back, so I downloaded the Old London font.
I didn't know how to add it, so I read this and followed the instructions there.
I got to work with editing the crap out of the image.
At first, I edited it so it was nice and even and looked like this:
Tumblr media
But that made the end result look kind of funny? Like the blue was screwing things up in the "thiri-yum" part? Idk
Tumblr media
My goal is to make a ridiculous bougie outfit for Connor. I just started with what I understood.
Another goal is to give Connor a SWAT suit. For the SWAT thing, I made a little progress in understanding what I have to do (as seen below).
Here are some videos I watched to expand my brain so I can use HxD (Hex editor) and further understand texture maps:
Number Systems Introduction Using a Hex Editor How to Hex Edit Games Texture Maps Explained
I figured out that in the Detroit Texture Tool, a container is not just a set of code, but a whole few sets of code! I'm not sure if I'm 100% correct, but here is a snip shot from the Tool:
Tumblr media
(I want to remind you that I have ZERO prior experience with any of this lmfao) Also, in the Tool if you see the QD files, they're all like, a blue Quantic Dream logo? Apparently they're not supposed to look like that. I'm missing a program to be able to see them I think? And here is Captain Allen's uniform I found! I desperately want to put Connor in it!!! Have some texture maps I barely understand:
Tumblr media
I'll update you more on my sassy Connor outfit and SWAT Connor as soon as I figure out stuff. Thanks for reading and I hope these entries help!

My rear camera replacement for my Galaxy S4 [GT-I9505] (w/ my Paper Dolls) - Part 2 [6/27/20]
Here’s my part 2 of my new rear camera replacement for my Samsung Galaxy S4 with my paper dolls. 📷📱😊
Note: In this part, some of my pictures that I took (using Honor 8C) are now combined into one image via GIMP software, despite I have 13 photos.
Okay, let’s continue:
1st & 2nd Image(s): • Now here’s my working progress 🪛 🔩🔧. With the additional tool of my pink micro fabric cloth and a storing plastic cup for screws to my working board which as I mentioned before. My paper dolls say that you did a fine job progress, thanks.☺️
3rd to 5th Image(s): •[3rd Image]: Here’s my Galaxy S4′s inside circuitry looks like after I removed the old rear camera lens. Yeah a lot of wires actually but can’t judge the design of the Galaxy S4′s circuitry. ⚡📱 •[4th & 5th Images combined]: And that right here is the Galaxy S4′s motherboard ⚡📱 - both front and rear. I’d just found out that replacing the Galaxy S4′s motherboard could costs  from ₱ 890 - ₱2,000 range ($17 to $40), same goes to the LCD screen but with a little bit expensive.
And for instance, when I buy the whole replacement parts for my Galaxy S4 from both Shopee and Lazada, I’m looking for around ₱4,000 - ₱5,000 to pay ($80 - $100) or even less than ₱ 3,000 ($3,000) when I present my discount and a free shipping fee voucher.
But for now, every parts of it are seem to be very functional without broke on site, except the rear camera that should be replaced.
6th to 8th Image(s): •[6th & 7th Images combined]: On the next image, you see I’m already installed the new rear camera to the motherboard - with all the wiring connectors and other functional parts are now assembled in place. And as you can see it fits perfectly much like the old one (on the right image). ⚡📱 •[8th Image]: My paper dolls say that they can’t wait to take a picture with them when it works. Yeah, let’s hope so.☺️
9th to 13th Image(s): •[9th & 10th Images and 11th & 12th Images combined]: Once I done replacing the rear camera and all circuitry parts assembled 🪛 🔩🔧, I’m now assembly back everything from plastic plate to back cover, to jelly case. •[13th Image]: I even clean up 🧹 my working board/place by removing tools I need because I’m done my repair progress, and even store and secure my old rear camera in place using the plastic and parcel from the new rear camera (mentioned before).🔐
• So, are you ready to shoot pictures with my new rear camera? My paper dolls replies “Yes!”, alright. 😊
So, that’s leads us to the final part of this topic. Which you can up once again with your mouse, or you can go over here right now → [CLICK ME!].

Top Ten games of the 2010′s
This trend seems to be doing the rounds at the moment and seeing as I’ve been gaming for about as long as I can remember, It just feels right. So, let’s get into it. But first, worth saying: These aren't really in any specific order, it's just the games I've personally had the most fun with overall, but it's pretty hard to decide what the hard numbers on things you enjoy for different reasons are if that makes any sense. 10. The 2010's weren't exactly the best time for anyone, I think. For me they were a slog of finding myself and learning things I wish I didn't. Amid all those things I wanted some levity. The world needs something and stupid. We got a lot of it ion 2013 but I feel like we could have used it scattered around a bit more. In that spirit, allow me to show you one hell of a pick me up:
Saints Row 4
Saints Row 4 does not give a fuck. It is aggressively demonstrating that the entire time you play. It doesn't care in the slightest what you think or why, It just wants to show you cool, if juvenile, and interesting, if weird shit. It's the finer points of Ratchet and Clank's arsenal, SR3's humor, And superpowers that genuinely put Prototype and Infamous in a blender and tell you to go ape shit with them. The soundtrack isn't top shelf, it's the roof of the building the shelf is in. Saints Row Two had a better story overall but SR Four's was just plain fun and a solid enough story to still be invested.
The DLC was just as irreverent and madcap, Featuring everything from an evil Santa Clause to evil Gimps on Game of thrones chairs made of dildos Or Tropey-ass costumes and weapon reskins that I'd be genuinely surprised the game dev didn't get sued over. It has earned its place in my top 10 and I will die by that decision.
9.
2016 saw the advent of a new genre. They blended TF2 and MOBAs, and we got hero shooters in their first AAA forms, Overwatch and Battleborn. But neither of these games is on this list, much as I liked them. Partly because the whole time, I kept thinking of one simple question: "Why do I keep thinking of...?"
Anarchy Reigns
Anarchy Reigns is my favorite Platinum game. Full Stop. The Story mode is interesting and has genuinely good character moments, the characters themselves are completely mental, ranging from a mercenary with a bionic cat leg that secretly has a gun built into it to a giant cyborg bull-man with a jet-powered hammer. The soundtrack is mostly angry hip-hop, making every song a banger and fittingly speedy for things like random bombing runs from jet fighters that come from absolutely nowhere.
There are giant monsters, cars with mounted flame throwers, giant robots, and the online is still pretty sweet because even when abandoned, loading it up with bots still rules. I regularly have more fun with this than I ever did with Overwatch, and I don't care how insane that sounds.
8.
Some games want to make you feel something and fail. Some games make you feel some things accidentally, for example, a desperate need to laugh. This game made me feel like a human blender. Like a Chthonic god of mangled flesh and raw destructive power. Nyarlathotep ain't got nothing on me. I speak, of course, of...
[Prototype] 2
There's no end to the absolute destruction you feel like you're causing in this game. It feels more fluid than the first, the main character is a pinch more relatable, and all the body horror, superpowers, zombie hordes, and big old monsters make for some of the most memorable and fun moments and fights in gaming. The DLC is also pretty solid, adding new fun side challenges, and new powers and weapons that elevate you from "Flesh god" to "Screw physics, I made them" Omnipotent. Best god/monster simulation of all time.
7.
Sometimes some games are at an honest tie in your mind. Be it that you like them for essentially the same reasons, or for completely different reasons, but the overall total joy or entertainment they bring is roughly equivalent. Here, we have a case of the former:
Furi/Cuphead
Both games have a tight focus on giving players a unique, boss-centric challenge, both have interesting, somewhat minimal narratives, and both are absolute eye candy.
Furi has a more "Samurai Jack" Quality to me. A complete badass on a relatively simple quest with a somewhat minimalistic art style learning some things as he goes.
Cuphead on the other hand, nails that rubber hose animation style, and the fun levity of such animations while still making the player's ability to interact with the world damn impactful and fun.
They share a spot in my soul, games I love everything about but will never be able to finish. Hats off to both dev teams.
6.
Now here we have another tie. Mostly because the games are so close together, they need to be evaluated more or less as one product IMO, not enough changed for me to consider them separate games, fortunately, that is the furthest thing from an insult it can be in this situation. I present to you, my next pick(s).
Costume Quest 1/2
Now, This might seem pretty random considering my other picks, but honestly, I love Halloween, I love creative madness, I love subversion, I love good characters, and I love cool action, these games have all these things by the bucketload.
The first game is a wild ride through Halloween in multiple very lively locations and the second, slightly confusing as it is, is pretty awesome for the things it introduces, including time travel. Other elements, like the battle stamps, the truly epic forms of everything in the fights, The ability to customize your costumes, etc. they blur together in a pretty big way, but again, there's not a thing wrong with that when both games rock like crystal candy.
5.
Now, if you hadn't noticed, all of the games on this list have had some hard action at their core, and while I don't HATE calmer games, a lot of the time, so many are kinda dull to me in that with the exception of easter eggs of some sort, most farming sims, for example, just have you doing normal farm stuff with very few twists, may as well start a real farm in that case. My most chill entry is a game that tosses that to one side, asks you to grab a suck cannon, and start harvesting gelatinous monster poop.
Slime Rancher
While you don't spend a lot of time actually interacting with other characters, they just talk at you, the story of the game is pretty effective, the player character of Beatrix has left Earth for a simpler life of Slime Ranching, which entails the raising of alien crops, delightfully derpy and colorful chickens, and going all around in an attempt to farm new breeds of slime for their genetic material to sell off or trade-in for the creation of gadgets while being surrounded by a cast of interesting characters. It's all very wholesome family fun.
The game looks great, has great ideas, and is genuinely the best farming game I have ever played. @ me all you want.
4.
The 80's are almost fetishized nowadays. Given all the property reboots, games that go for the vibe and aesthetic of the time, etc. It almost seems as though the eighties vibe train ain't gonna stop rolling any time soon. But we owe it to ourselves to remember the first big swipe of madcap neon-colored actiony B-movie bullshit and how mind-meltingly epic it was. Ladies, Gents, and whatever else, I present:
Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon
Blood Dragon's story is relatively simple, you play Sargent Rex "Power" Colt (A name said in full so many times I thought his last name was "Powercolt" for the longest time), a former "Omega force" cyborg. Rex and his friend "Spider" were sent into a secret island base to investigate the supposed defection and treachery of their old commander, Ike Sloan. It turns out he has gone rogue and taken an army of "Mark 5" Omegaforce cyber-soldiers with him. What follows is a long story of betrayal, science fiction of the highest nonsensical level, comedy, and brilliantly cathartic action.
The collectibles range from data on animals, to research notes from a scientist, to literal VHS cassette tapes that have full descriptions of movies that I would legitimately watch if I could. "You may now kill the brides" is not a real film and I am angry for every day that that is true. Anyway, play Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon, I dunno if it's on PS4 but it's one game I'd buy a new/old console for.
3.
A lot of superhero games NEED to railroad you. Your goals MUST be to save the lives of the people and help the weak and all that. But one dev asked the simple question: "What if it didn't?" "What if the player chose how to use their power? What if the player could be as evil or as good as they damn well pleased?" One game gave you the powers of thunder and lightning and asked what you'd do with it. It's sequel asked you the same, but against more... interesting forces.
InFamous 2
InFamous 2 is a game about making choices, just like the first one, also just like the first one, it can have an effect on gameplay. That effect went from "What does this particular power do in this allignment?" To "Which new set of NEW powers would you like?" The forces of the last game went from “Three flavors of gun-toting whackos” To “Possibly an allegory for the Klan, Swamp monsters, and Ice-powered super soldiers.”
This was, and still is, the best game in the whole series, The powers felt distinct from anything else and still do, the story is solid as a rock, and the enemy types were still varied enough to be interesting, I miss the Reapers from the first game, but that's about it. Everything else was a massive step up. If you have something that can run it, play it.
2.
Action is something I think we can all appreciate on some level. We can understand when it does or does not work, we can understand when we do or do not like how it feels when we are the ones partaking in it. EX: Any schlep can tell you when the weapons in your game lack impact, or when your character moves too slow for the game to be fun. The following game is something I can't say anything of the sort about. And it's kind of like Wolfenstein, when you have enemies this bad, who the hell cares how many you kill?
Doom 2016
Y'all are lying if you say you didn't expect this one. It's DOOM 2016. This game is made of hate and fuck. AND I LOVE IT. You move so fast, you may as well be half cheetah and half sports car. You slaughter the dregs of hell by the dozens and even the biggest, baddest things this game throws at you can be beaten with the starting pistol if you have the stones for it. It looks amazing graphically, the demons all look appropriately threatening, and even the Multiplayer is a great deal of fun in my book.
Something worth noting: The story presented by default is pretty barebones, but that's where supplementary material fills in the gaps, the difference between supplementary material in most games and supplementary material here is the material is till IN THE GAME. You're free to ignore most of the plot as it happens around you, and even interesting tidbits of the lore like how certain demons function. Not only are these things missable collectibles, prompting continued play to find them, they are also pretty interesting reads. So yeah, just about everything you could want in a sequel/remake, builds the on lore and gameplay very organically.
1.
And here we are, the last game I'd put in this category. An entire decade, and here, we end on the last game that left such an impact I'd put it in my top ten. But first, let's talk about expectations and delivery: When you say a game is coming out, there are certain expectations you have for gameplay, EX: I say "Ratchet and Clank" and you expect a TPS with platforming elements and crazy guns. I say "Gears of War" and people expect something to do with lumbering about in big armor, dismembering things with a chainsaw gun and otherwise shooting them to paste. We might also expect changes to things, better graphics, innovations in grenade variety, something as that franchise goes on.
After the last game in this series was released, there were tons of people who felt let down and disappointed by it. Then they released the still somewhat disappointing special edition of it. They were both still fun, but neither really felt like the full next step in the series. After a failed reboot, they returned to the original story and the lot of us rejoiced. And when it finally came out? It was a step up in most, if not, all regards, to its predecessors. You know what this last one is. Please, give a warm round of applause to:
Devil May Cry 5
A game that was not only a return to form, but a major escalation in gameplay for one character, and a new style of gameplay all together by way of yet another new character. It didn’t exactly hurt that the story kicked ten kinds of ass and that the game looked spectacular in both the design of everything and the actual graphical fidelity.DMC 5 is, like DOOM, Like InFamous 2, Like [PROTOTYPE] 2, everything you want in a good sequel. It built very well on already solid foundations and it was generally just a fun, slightly goofy, massively stylish, and ultra badass ride. I recommend this, and all these games, to anyone.Good night everyone, have a great 2020. And the rest of the decade, for that matter.

Agent Carter An Au Series
Chapter 5!!!!, I loved writing this one, there lots of Peggysous in this in it too ;)
Daniels POV:
Its been a couple of days since Mrs. Carter came by my apartment and I haven't seen her since then. After my shift today at the SSR, I plan on returning it to her, maybe we could spend some more time together, as neighbors. Thats a thing right?
"Sousa! You got those files I asked for?" Great, Thompson showed up. Even though its his day off.
"Yeah, they're right here." I hand him the files and  Krzeminski chimes in.
"Hey look at that, the gimp can actually do something." Most of the other agents start laughing. Ass. The door to the chiefs office opens, and the laughter dies down.
"Alright, enough with the fun and games, we got a case." And with that the day was a lot longer than I planned on it being. Shit. Dooley explains the case and says more people will have to stay late, and of course I'm one of them. I guess I'll give it back tomorrow.
The Next day:
I woke up pretty late today, but since I had a late shift, the Chief gave me the day off. I look at the clock and it says 12:25 pm. Damn, I missed physical therapy. Well I have nothing else planned for today, I guess I can get some groceries for the week, stock up again. When I'm home I leave my prosthetic off and use two crutches instead of one, that way I can get some relief. I make some coffee and look at the counter, sitting there is Mrs. Carters plate. Shit. I forgot I didn't return it. Maybe she's in her apartment; guess we'll see. I crutch back to my bed, put on the prosthetic, and get changed. I can't exactly go over to her apartment in my underwear. I shake any more thoughts out of my head before it goes to far. Sighing, I walk to the door, take a deep breath, and knock.
"Mr. Sousa, hi, can I help you with something?" Instead of being greeted by the woman I was hoping to see, I get her roommate, Ms.  Colleen O' Brien.
"Oh , yeah, I- uh... I came to give this back." I had her the plate and she looks at me, confused. "Mrs. Carter left it at my apartment the other day and I wanted to give it back." I explained, still she looks confused.
"Oh.. Uhm.. thank you."
"No problem. Have a nice day." And with that I leave. I was really hoping to see her, maybe next time. Next Time? What the hell. You're not aloud to fall for a woman you don't know Daniel, stop. God help me.
Friday, Peggy's POV:
I can't wait until this child is born. No more restless nights, no more craving no more pain, no more bruises. Since Colleen is at work, and won't be home until late, I need to figure out what to do for supper. Oh what a long day it's going to be. I waddle down stairs and get the post, but it appears I'm not the only one.
"Mr. Sousa?" I call out. He turns around a smiles his bright smile.
"Mrs. Carter." Ugh...what I'd give to never hear anyone calling me that again... "How are you today?"
"Very well, thank you." Which isn't an entire lie. Oddly I feel much better since I've walked down here. I grab our mail and and see him do the same. "I do apologize, Mr. Sousa. I didn't mean to rush out the way I did last week. I hope it wasn't rude?"
"Oh that? Theres nothing to apologize for." I swear, he must be the kindest man I have ever met. "Are you okay, though? Well- s-since you.. uh- left?" His cheeks and ears begin to turn red and I can't help but smile, its quite adorable actually. Adorable? What?
"Yes, I'm fine, It happens from time to time. It just means she'll be born soon."
"She? You think its a girl?"
"Well, Colleen, my flatmate, does. Apparently she has a 'gift' when guessing the sexes of babies." At this he smiles, and I can't stop myself either. Its quiet for a few moments; not completely awkward, but content.
"Well I should head inside and get these up stairs." I look down and notice grocery bags.
"Oh, of course. Would you like some help?" He begins to say something but I already know what he will say. "Before you refuse, I must inform you that I am fine and so is the baby." I laugh, and so does he. "I'd be more than happy to help, truly I don't mind.  I would hate for you to have to walk up and down the stairs, knowing I could have been some assistance." He looks at me and then the bags, as if debating an answer.
"Okay, sure. I'd love the help. Just... don't push yourself too much, please? I'd hate to be the reason something happened." I playfully glare at him.
"I'm more than capable of handling a few bags of food, Mr. Sousa." He smiles and nods his head while handing some over. We walk inside together and I stop at the bottom of the stairs.
"Is something wrong?"
"No, nothings wrong, its just... I can't exactly walk as quickly upstairs as I use too." At this he gives a sad smile.
"I can understand that, I can't walk, let alone run, nearly as fast as I use too." For a moment I don't understand what he means, hes not the one whos pregnant. My thoughts must have been displayed over my face because he gestures to his crutch. Damn, I'm an idiot.
"Oh how stupid of me, I'm so sorry,"
"Its fine, Mrs. Carter." I internally groan and sigh out of annoyance. "Are you okay?"
"What? Of course, why wouldn't I be?"
"Uhh, because you just groaned like something was wrong..." He hesitated as if choosing his words carefully. Damn. Not as much in my head as I thought. I take a deep breath and explain.
"Nothings wrong, I just...uhm... I- I don't really like to be called that.."I stutter, avoiding his eye.
"Oh, well, what do you prefer to be called?"
"Peggy, please."
"Okay... Peggy." He laughs. "You can call me Daniel then, i-if you want that is."
"I would like that, yes. Thank you, Daniel." We both stare into each others eyes for a moment, smiling. Hes so handsome.. Stop, What in the blazes am I thinking? " Shall we?" I ask, lifting the bags in the air.
"Yeah, lead the way."
"Me? Why must I go first? I'll only slow you down. Surly, I can follow you instead." I laugh.
"I doubt you would slow me down."
"Oh I'm not too sure about that."
"Is that a bet, Mrs- uh, Peggy?" His cheeks turn red at his small mistake and I laugh, its quite adorable. Yes, I admit it. Adorable. Damn I'm screwed... Some people can say that about their neighbors, right? Surly it doesn't mean anything...
"I don't know, Daniel, you tell me." I tease. Or is that flirting?  No, definitely not. I'm not flirting. No. I look at him and his smile brightens, if thats even possible.
"Alright tell you what, we'll do something like a race, except backwards."
"What?"
"You know, we'll see who can reach my apartment the slowest. Then its settled who is slower on the stairs. Deal?"
"Deal. But no slowing down on purpose."
"I would never do that, Peggy." The way he says my name sounded differently just now. Is he the one flirting? No, I don't think so,. It must be in my head. "Okay, lady's first."
"But how will you know I've made it to the door?"
"Uh.. you could give a shout or something?"
"Alright. Oh my watch." He looks at me puzzled. "I can set the timer on it and record how long it takes to get there, and then bring it to you to test yourself."
"Okay. Oh wait, here." he hands me his key to his apartment," That way you can put the bags on the counter and not have to leave them on the floor." I graciously take them, place them in a bag,  and start. Luckily we live in the second floor and not the fifth or tenth, then we would really be waiting all day. When I get there I stop the watch and it reads 3 minutes and 42 seconds. Damn I'm slow... I unlock the door and set down the bags.
"Daniel!"
"You're there already?" As I've said, hes too kind. I know he must be bored standing there. I walk down the stairs half way and toss him the watch.
"How'd you know I'd catch it and not miss? Wouldn't it have broke?"
"Maybe I'm giving you a little bit of trust." As I say this he laughs. We've both  been doing that I lot lately, I've noticed. I walk up stairs and wait for him there. Within a few minutes, hes there. I take the watch from him before he notices and it says 2 minutes and 52 seconds. "Bloody hell"
"Whats wrong?"
"Nothing" I say too quickly.
"Let me guess...I beat you."
"Like I said you would."
"By how much?" Instead of answering I walk into his apartment. "Peggy?" He follows and places his bags on the counter. "How much of a difference? "Uhmm..." I  glance in his direction and notice his head is tilted to the side, all charming. Damn him. "Not by much..."
"How much is 'not by much'?" He smirks. Oh I'll get that grin off oh his face.. Wait, What? No. Peggy, stop.
"Its uhm.. only by a small... um, minute and 10 seconds.."
"Wait, seriously?
"Oh don't rub it in!" We both start to laugh as he holds his hands in the air defensively.
"Hey, I'm not rubbing it in. Soon enough you'll beat me up those starts by 2 minutes, minimum."
"Is that right?"
"Yeah, it is. Guaranteed." We both laugh again and again for several moments. It feels so long I barely remember why; only its so good to be this happy and free. I haven't felt this light in years...

I’m Right Here
Tumblr media
Crutchie x Reader
A/N: Well here is a blast from the quite recent past! Back at it again with the Newsies fics...I was really happy to write for the fandom again cos I won’t lie, I kinda missed it. This was another request and I’ll be honest, I feel kinda bad because I’m not too happy with it. All the same, I hope you guys enjoy it! (PS. There’s a reference in there for my fellow Teen Wolf fans...50 points to Hufflepuff if you can spot it) Moose :)
-----------------------------------------------------
You sprung up from your bed, gasping at the loud ringing sound from the warden’s walking stick on one of the beds. Looking around the room, you watched as all the other boys groaned and whined with you. You screwed up your eyes and pulled the blanket back over the top of you, desperately trying to block out the noise from the boys around you.
“Y/N?” The warden pushed your shoulder gently, laughing at your ignorance, “come on…only fair you have to go too”
You flopped around and huffed, looking at him momentarily before dramatically groaning.
“Can’t. Have. Cramps.” You groaned, pretending to wince after each word.
“You used that excuse yesterday. And the day before that. And the day before that. And must I go on?” He laughed, throwing the covers off of you onto the floor beside the bed, “GET UP!”
“You’re mean, old man!” You shouted back at him, snatching up your blanket off of the floor as you hesitantly got out of bed. You paused as you watched the boys all laugh and talk as they got ready before your eyes landed on a particular boy. He smiled brightly as he pulled up his socks, struggling slightly as his leg didn’t co-operate with him. You smiled sadly, your heart breaking for both him and yourself.
“You’re bright pink, Sparky” a familiar voice teased you, making you snap your head in his direction.
“Shut up, Race, or I’ll make ya” you snatched his hat off his head and shoved it in his chest, turning round sharply on your heel as you headed towards the bathroom.
“Is that a threat?”
“Why? Want me to make it one?!” You shouted at Race, slamming the door to the bathroom in frustration. You sighed as you turned your back to lean on the door, listening as Race shouted at the rest of the dorm.
“Sparky’s in the bathroom, boys!”
“She’s got a name, Race!” You heard another boy shout, laughing slightly as he ended his sentence.
“Oh yeah? Cos with that temper, I thought that name suited her!”
Sighing, you pushed yourself off the door, heading to the mirror to check the state you were in.
“Not that bad, today…I mean, still look like a bloody ogre but I guess it’s better than usual?”
“Why are you talking to yourself, Y/N?” Crutchie questioned, laughing to himself slightly as he watched you jump, pink spreading across your cheeks.
“There’s a girl in here. You know the rules”
“I’m your best friend, rules don’t apply to me”
“Well, actually, it kinda does. See, there’s this thing called privacy that is actually a human right and right now, you’re violating my human right. You could go to jail for that”
Crutchie scoffed, smiling widely, “Come on. We’re already late”
You scoffed and grabbed your tattered brown jacket from the hook next to the door, before joining Crutchie as the two of you would head to the circulation gate.
—————————————————————
“JACK! JACK!” You called out, pushing your way to the front as the hoard of boys began shouting and screaming at the terrified boys in the circulation grounds. You managed to get to the front and grab Jack’s hand. He spun around in shock, relaxing when he saw it was you.
“What’s the matter?”
“What’s going on?” You asked, trying to look beyond the gates to see what was happening, meeting the two pairs of hungry eyes you were used to seeing every day.
“They jacked up the price of the papers”
“I’m sorry, what?”
“You heard…” Jack turned around at the sound of the Delancey’s sneering.
“Well well well, look what the cat dragged in” Oscar remarked, making it obvious he was talking to you.
“Hi Oscar” you replied haphazardly, not caring for him as your eyes scanned the crowd for Crutchie.
“You joining the strike too? Oh, stupid question. You’re a girl! You ain’t smart enough to make your own decisions”
You whipped back around, staring at Oscar angrily before smirking, “I always knew you were a girl! Now, where’s your sister? You two really aren’t smart enough to be on your own”
Oscar growled at you, lunging at the gates and grabbing them threateningly, getting even more frustrated at the fact you didn’t even flinch. At the sound of his brother’s growl, Morris sauntered over, picking something out of his teeth.
“What’s the bitch done now?”
You were about to snarl back at him but the name he had given you had triggered something in all the boys as all of them pushed forward, trying to get to Morris to kill him. No one called you that and got away with it. Not even those in Brooklyn would dare call you such a name for they feared the wrath that would entail. You were forcefully pushed forward from the crowd, pushing you into the gate. Jack screamed out, silencing the crowd and stopping their actions.
“ENOUGH! Listen…I just had a talk with Davey here, and we is gonna start a strike!”
You shook your head as you pushed your way all the way to the back to where Crutchie was, not wanting to hear the constant teasing from the brothers anymore.
“You ok?” Crutchie asked, smiling sadly as he noticed you emerge from the crowd.
“Let’s just go home…I don’t think this is going to end very well”
Crutchie nodded and offered out his arm and you took it lightly, very aware he needed to use his entire upper body to support himself. The two of you began walking back but you both stopped in your tracks when you heard the gate open and a roar of boys shouting. You turned around, noticing a brawl happen between the Newsies and the Delancey’s gang.
“Crutchie? What’s happening?!” You cried, wanting to jump in and help but not knowing how.
“I don’t think they’re too happy that we’re on strike!” Crutchie cried out to you, the sound of the ‘fight making it hard to talk without shouting.
“SPARKY!” Race shouted, his head in a headlock of one of the Delancey brothers, his eyes wide in shock, “LOOK OUT!”
You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion before you heard a yelp from Crutchie behind you, making you turn around in surprise. Snider was behind you with a load of policemen and guards from the refuge. Before you knew it, the Newsies were trying to fight off both the Delancey’s gang and the guards all at once. Somehow, you were dragged into the fight, but having been raised on the streets by your parents before they passed, your fighting skills were not bad at all. You dodged punches from the circulation boys and slid underneath the legs of the guards as he lunged to grab you. You caught glances of newsies being attacked and dragged away, but that only angered you more. Out of nowhere, a sharp pain hit your face and knocked you to the ground, your head slamming on the concrete as you fell. The last thing you heard was Jack crying out, “CRUTCHIE!”
————————————————————
You woke up slowly, your eyes stinging as the bright light from the window shined right on you. You sat up slowly, jumping slightly when you saw all the boys stood around your bed.
“What-what’s going on?” You stammered, trying to stand up but stumbling backwards slightly, feeling two arms hold you upright.
“Sparky, maybe you should sit down” Race nodded, holding his breath.
“What’s happened, where’s Crutchie?!”
Jack knelt down to your eye level and took your hand, “Listen, Y/N…please don’t freak out”
“Oh yes, because that’s so settling” you snapped, immediately regretting it when Jack gave you a glare. He relaxed and took a deep breath when he realised you had calmed.
“Y/N, Crutchie was…taken…”
“What?” You breathed out, so quietly you were surprised anyone had heard you.
“I’m really sorry. We’re going to try everything to get him home. Race and I are going tonight to try and rescue him”
You nodded and stood up, the boys all watching you cautiously as you slowly walked to the bathroom, shutting the door slowly. As soon as the door had clicked shut, you collapsed to the floor and cried your eyes out.
Crutchie wasn’t just your best friend, he was so much more. He had been with you when you were brought in from the streets, comforting you each night when you woke up crying from your nightmares. As the two of you grew up, he was there for you no matter what. He made you laugh, cry and angry, but more than anything, he made you fall in love with him. You had loved Crutchie for so long, but no one knew. You never told him as you feared he wouldn’t feel the same way, so you kept your feelings hidden from all the boys and the warden, crying some nights when reality set in again.
“Sparky?” Race knocked on the door, entering slowly. He gasped as he raced to you on the floor, scooping you up and holding you tightly as you cried into his chest.
“I love him, Race” you sobbed, “I love him so much. I can’t lose him! He’s going to die! They’re not going to take care of him! He’s too weak! Too fragile! He’s going to die in there!”
Race pulled you in close and shushed you, rocking you back and forth as you cried. Jack knocked on the door to get Race when the two of them noticed you had fallen asleep. Race carried you back to bed and tucked you in before heading to the refuge to get Crutchie.
——————————————————————
“HEY! GIMP! GET OVER HERE, THERE’S SOMEONE AT THE WINDOW FOR YOU!”
Crutchie limped over, using the bunk beds for support as the guards had broken his crutch.
“Jack! Race!” Crutchie said gleefully, smiling widely.
“Hey, we’re gonna bust you out of here” Jack smiled, groaning as he tried to support himself on the bars of the window.
“Jack, I’m not so sure. How are you going to do it?”
“We’re working on it” he groaned, still trying to smile although struggling.
“Is Y/N ok?”
“She’s worried about you” Race piped up, struggling more than Jack to keep himself up on the bars of the window, “She just wants you home now”
“This place is guarded to the very door. There’s no way you’re going to be able to sneak in here, at least tonight. And I’m certainly not going to fit in between the window bars”
Jack nodded, “We’re coming to get you. Just hold on tight”
Jack took Crutchie’s hand and squeezed it in reassurance, smiling sadly at the boy he had always considered to be a brother.
“Quick. Before you get caught” Crutchie shooed them away, Jack and Race shuffling down the drain-pipe quickly but cautiously.
Crutchie watched the two boys scurry out of the refuge gates and sighed sadly, limping back over to the crowded bunk that was now his bed for the next week. He began to feel tears in his eyes at the thought of you being scared and alone, your nightmares coming back and no one being able to comfort you like he does. He appreciated that you were worried about him, but he was probably worried about you more.
——————————————————————
“WOAH! WOAH! Y/N! IT’S OK!” Jack cried, taking you into his arms as you continued to scream and cry from a nightmare you were having. You had the same nightmare for weeks now, the image of Crutchie being taken and hurt replaying in your mind, getting worse each night.
“Y/N IT WAS JUST A DREAM. IT’S A DREAM. WE’RE OK!” Jack tried to calm you down, shushing you as you sobbed.
“Jack, he’s being hurt. He’s going to die” you cried into him, not caring that the rest of the dorm was probably awake as well.
“Y/N, please…calm down” Jack begged, rocking you gently. You squeezed Jack’s hand tightly and listen to Jack’s steady heartbeat. He wasn’t Crutchie, but he was trying his hardest to help you all the same.
“I’m sorry” you sniffed into Jack’s chest, loud enough that you knew the rest of the dorm would hear.
“Don’t be sorry. Hey, I promised I would get him outta there…you ain’t giving up on me, are you?”
You shook your head gently and sighing, pulling back from Jack’s embrace to look at him directly.
“Please, get him as quickly as possible. I just need to know that he’s safe”
Jack nodded and laid you back down on your bed gently, pulling the blanket on top of you as you fell back asleep. He sighed as he watched you sleep, guilt overcoming him as he thought about all the nightmares you had been having recently. He knew that the only thing that would put your mind to rest would be for Crutchie to be home, by your side. Race had told him about your love for Crutchie, explaining why you had been having nightmares about him.
Race looked down at Jack from his bunk and bit his lip, “we really gotta get him home, Jack…it’s not fair on her now. It’s killing her now”
Jack nodded in response and grabbed his cap, nodding his head towards the door as a silent signal for Race to follow him.
The two headed towards the refuge, dodging in and out of the shadows as they hid from anyone and everyone, taking every precaution under the moon not to be seen. As they walked past the refuge gates, they snuck into the grounds, finding an open door into the main building. Luckily, it was at such a time in the morning that all the night-guards even gave up and fell asleep. Silently, they headed in the general direction of the dorm they previously saw Crutchie in, Jack’s previous experience in the refuge being of use to them.
“Crutch? Crutchie?” Race shouted in a hushed whisper, getting elbowed by Jack for making noise.
“Shut it, Race. We can’t afford to be caught”
The two of them tip-toed towards the nearest dorm door they could find, sliding in the crack in so as not toped it any further or make a noise.
“Crutchie?” Race whispered out, boys and girls of all ages looking at them with confusion.
“Wait” a boy commanded, not bothering to hush his voice, “Why are you here?”
“We’re here to get someone. Crutchie. Know where he may be?” Jack asked, not caring that the boy tried his best to be threatening, “About this high, can’t walk properly and has a crutch?”
“Had.” The boy corrected him, “You want Gimp? I know where he is”
“Can you help us?” Race pleaded
“For a price”
“Fine” Jack stated, “Now where is he?”
———————————————————————
“Y/N?” Albert shook your shoulder, trying to wake you up, “Y/N, come on. Someone is here to see you”
You opened your eyes slowly, seeing Albert’s face filled with excitement. You sat up, confused, and looked around, your eyes widening with shock when you saw a boy sat on the end of your bed, crutch in hand.
“Crutchie?” You asked, your voice shaking slightly at the boy you saw in front of you.
“Hey, Y/N” he smiled, shifting up towards you to take your hand.
“No” you took your hand back, cowering further back away from him, “no, you’re not here. You aren’t real”
Crutchie looked up at the boys, all of them looking sadly at him, before turning back to you, “What do you mean? I’m right here, Y/N”
‘No. You’re just in my imagination, you’re not here” you began to cry, your breathing quickening and your vision becoming blurry.
“Boys, leave” Jack ordered, standing further back himself as he watched to make sure you were going to be ok, “Crutchie, she’s been having nightmares and hallucinations of you. She probably thinks you’re not real, just like the past weeks”
Crutchie looked at you with worry, trying to think of any way to calm you down, “Y/N listen to me, you’re having a panic attack. Listen to me, I’m right here. I’m real. Listen to my voice, Y/N…match your breathing with mine”
You watched as Crutchie took deep breaths, trying to encourage you to breathe with him, his hands slowly going towards yours to take them.
“Crutch, it’s not working” you hyperventilated, shaking your head as you tried to make your vision clear once again.
Crutchie stammered, looking back at Jack who was also showing his worry, his arms by his side and his eyes not leaving yours. Crutchie took a deep breath and placed both hands on face and pulling you towards him, kissing you gently. Surprised by his action, you stopped breathing and stared at him with wide eyes. When you realised what he was actually doing, you closed your eyes and kissed him back. Crutchie pulled away from you, his hands not leaving your face.
“What was that?” You asked him breathlessly, still trying to make sense of what had just happened.
“I read somewhere that holding your breath can stop a panic attack. You held your breath when I kissed you”
“You could have stopped me breathing without kissing me”
“I wanted to kiss you” Crutchie smiled, stroking your cheek with his thumb. You grinned back at him and lunged towards him, embracing him tightly. You saw Jack chuckle to himself and leave, pulling the door to the dorm closed behind him. As you pulled back, you laughed before kissing Crutchie again. He loved you too, and that’s all that mattered.

New Friends
This RP takes place between a young Kisara and @little-noko‘s character, Finch.
This is actually a snippet from a much longer interaction, but due to spoilers, the previous events will not be shared, but a short summary can be given.
Finch, injured and hurt, was found on the street and spent a few weeks recovering in the hospital. Unable to locate his family, he was released to an orphanage when he was well enough.
Finch is aged 12, Kisara 13 in this setting.
Enjoy. :D
Alaina : It didn't take long before the halls were a chatty messy have small children, a couple of adults voices trying to cut through to control the growing crowd. The downstairs steadily grew more active, noise rising and falling in large swells as kids walked and found their way into various after school activities. Luckily the room was pretty good at keeping the noise level down. It seemed to grow louder as more kids came trickled in from various schools over the next hour or so, and finally, a young girl with fiery orange hair practically collapsed against the bedroom door, half-falling into the room with a heavy sigh.
"MAN WHAT A DAY - " she started, not even looking up before she slammed the door behind her, dragging her bookbag lazily to let it fall on the floor before collapsing on her unkempt bed.
Noko : The child had reached his room in only a couple of minutes, eating his plum in the way, he dropped the large seed in the nearest basket before instal himself in his bed, dragging his books and pen as he decided to distract him mind by studying the few lessons that Fondu had prepared for him, his hand trembling at the coming emotion, Finch rubbed his eyes, fighting the tears with a groan as he missed his surrogate mom when someone suddenly bursted into his room and collapsed the bed nearby. Finch, startled, looked at the girl, stunned, replacing his hat really fast he tried to do like nothing happened and sank himself in his books
Alaina : The girl just groaned into her bedding, not even aware of the new roommate before she rolled her head to the side, her large blue eyes suddenly growing wide as she stared at the bed opposite of her. "WHOA PERSON!" She grinned, hopping up so fast she sprung from the bed, jumping so gracefully and fluidly it was almost unnatural. Small, cat-like ears twitched from her messy hair and she grinned wide, prominent canines clearly visible in her toothy, sharp smile. "HI! I totally forgot I was getting a new roommate today!!!"
Noko : Finch jolted at the sudden shooted at him, making him sank deeper in his book for a moment until she suddenly jumped off her bed. Pressing the book against his chest, the Young skeleton took a deep, yet nervous breath once she spoke.  H-hey... Uhm... yeah... I came earlier today... Jewel said that you're Kisara ?.... Uhm... t-the name's Finch... He looked nervously at her a moment, noticing that his roomate was a metazoan, it was odd to confront one after his last encounter with the rat... he barely remembered anything. Alaina : "Finch huh? That's a cool name!" She giggled brightly, looking over the skeleton with pure interest. "YEAH I'M KISARA!! Miss Jewel talks about me a lot - " She leaned forward, her bright blue eyes widening to huge saucers as her voice lowered to a strained whisper. "- I THINK I ANNOY HER." She stated on her hard whisper, before giggling behind her palm. "SOooo~ how was the moooooooove~?"
Noko : Uhm... t-thanks...  He replied, his cheeks burning as she was staring at him  and acted extremely energetic... now he understood how Fondu felt whenever HE was excited. She wasn't annoying, but.... definitely louder then he had expected.  Y-yeah uhm..... uh... His fingers trailed over the pages a moment.  Was... kinda hard... to be honest...  Uhm....  His eyes trailed over the other's bag for a second before looking at her.  Was school nice ?
Alaina : "Oh - " She blinked, tilting her head a bit as a frown flashed for just a second, and she shrugged her shoulders. "EH schools boring!" She stated, skimming over the uncomfortable parts of the conversation in a not very subtle way. "I'm not made for sitting in a book." She stretched her body, which moved almost too fluidly, her back seemed to stretch to be almost unnaturally long and she yawned deeply, a soft mewling escaping her before she ruffled her own hair. "I need to be OUTSIDE - that doesn't happen around here very often - ahehhee, well. Not during observation hours~" She stated with a  wink.
Noko : The young skeleton rubbed his cheek as the metazoan stated that she find school boring, on his side... he was pretty much craving for information and learn what he had lost, but he could easily understand what she meant by having a need to go outside.  Oh... uhm... yeah... I was stuck in a bed for a few weeks so I understand what you mean...  He paused a moment, embarassed.  Do you think we can go out ? Do we need to tell the responsible or something over here ? I- don't really know how all this work...
Alaina : "Well I mean - so long as we don't go too far we can do what we want - " She started, staring down at him - she just noticed his broken arm, and he still looked a little 'worn' from staying at the hospital. "We're allowed so long as we stay on the grounds. No big. You wanted to walk around or something???" She asked, playing with her feet. She wore a pair of soft sandals that she instantly had discarded at the door, opting for bare feet instead. "I need to go OUT anyway~"
Noko : Oh ! That sound kinda great...  He tossed his books on the side, sliding off carefully of his bed to set himself on his feet.  Yeah... I kinda want to go out too... that would be really nice to have someone around... I mean... I would... kinda like to tag in...   He blinked of surprise as she started to get rid of her sandal to be bare feet, which made in raise a brow out of curiosity.  You're planning to go outside without shoes ?  He hand reached his cast, feeling uneasy.
Alaina : "Shoes annoy me!" She said on a bright laugh. watching as he slid down before waving along. "Come on, come on, I wanna go to the traaaaaaack!! If you're coming then lets go already I'm tired of being inside all dang day." She huffed, turning to open the door. Her outfit was light and breezy, something she could easily move in and she beckoned him to follow her hurriedly.
Noko : It might have something about being a metazoan... yet he didn't really wanted to ask and be rude, he had already asked so much questions... He decided to follow her, his pace quite slow compared to the young cat girl.  A-alright alright, I'm coming... just... wait for me please, I'm not fast.  He headed out of the room, his cheeks burning at the frustration of being so slow, wishing he could have his running leg already to be able to keep up.
Alaina : She frowned, looking back as he walked slowly along - noticing the odd gait he held as he walked. "....You said you were in the hospital?" She asked with a rather bored look, clearly anxious to get outside but curious about the kid, and her ears twitched, straining to be at full attention. "What happened, get run over by a truck or something??? Whats with the gimp walk? Are you a medical case??" She rattled off the questions insistently, trying to fill her boredom with information as they walked towards the stairs.
Noko : Uhm... Y-yeah ? I said that... sorry if I'm slow...  He adjusted his hat, not stopping his walk, his cheeks burning as he would probably have to take the elevator once again.  Uhm... I don't exactly know... I suffer from amnesia...  He shrugged as if it was no big deal, not going to lie as the girl asked about him.  But uhm... when I woke up I was missing a leg so.  He stopped for a second and lifted it to show the prosthetic.  Kinda relearning to walk with this thing. It's not that hard anymore, but I can't really go fast with it.
Alaina : Her face fell deeply at the explanation, realization fully hitting her as he talked....her eyes went wide with surprise and she simply slumped her shoulders, unable to react properly. "......Wow that's gotta suck." She stated bluntly, almost in disbelief as she stared at the prosthetic. "Still learning...can you walk stairs okay??? WAIT what's it like walking on that thing?! What's amnesia like?? So nobody came looking for you?! Is that how you ended up here?! That's nuts!!"
Noko : He let out a long and annoyed groan.  I'm a tuuuurtle ! I takes me aaaage to climb up the stairs and it's even worse to go down. I've been wanting to run since I woke up, and I couldn't do anything.  He let out an amused chuckled before keep walking through the hallway. He then started to think.  I would say it's like when you sit on your leg for too long and can't feel your extremity anymore... but worse because it didn't pass, and instead of the antsy feeling it's just feel heavy. And I'm not talking about amnesia. Like. It's super confusing because I know stuff, but I can't tell where I learned them, it's confusing. But uhm.... yeah, no one came for me. So.  He shrugged before stopping as he reached the stairs.  Mmmmgh... want to see the turtle or should I take the elevator to be faster ?
Alaina : Kisara's face screwed up as a thick color rose onto her cheeks that puffed out, her eyes widened before she burst into a bright, bubbly laughter. "TURTLE! AHAHAHHA!!! YOU'RE NAMED AFTER A BIRD BUT ACT LIKE A TURTLE - YOU AREN'T EVEN METAZOAN!! AHAHHAHAA!!" She was laughing so hard tears sprung into eyes and she doubled over, leaning on the railing of the stairway as a couple kids running past them glanced up to look at them, shrugging off the noise as if they were used to it. "NAAAAAAAAH I wanna see the turtle WALK!" She stated, her cat-like reflexes suddenly in motion as she picked herself up and lay against the banister, gripping onto it to slide down backwards, eyes on the boy expectantly. "C'mon turtle, you can do it."
Noko : The Young skeleton blushed faintly as she started to laugh only to mock about his name in a cheerful tone, he laugh, contagious, made him chuckle happily in response, if only she knew what he went through and want he was she would probably even more weirded out.  Alright alright ! Beware the turtle in action !  He snorted, smiling cheerfully before he walked down the stairs, his movements really slow and careful as he gripped himself to the railing, her encouragement making him feel strangely warm and cheerful despite of his slow and annoying state. This felt great.... his eyes glanced to the Young cat girl, surprised by how she slide easily like it was no big deal.  Woah !  He looked at the banister, wondering if he could do it as well.
Alaina : "What, never seen a cat lounge before?" She chuckled on a smile, grasping at the banister to let herself slide along at his pace, watching his leg with interest. "But man you are sloooooooooow......" She said on a grin, raising a brow down at him as she kept watching him, keeping her grip strong and controlled as she easily 'climbed' around the stairwell.
Noko : Well, MAY-be...  At the picture of the cat from the building he tried to climb, the child shook his head, as he almost tripped, making him held his breath before laugh it off rather then show anything else.  Yeah.... I'm slooooow, okay, I admit, I'm not a turtle, I'm a slug. It's like... the WORST. EVER.  He laughed some more before he finally reached the hallway, bowing down to offer his knee a little massage.  But it won't last though... the doctor that ordered that leg will come back to me next week with a leg that will allow me to run. I'm really excited !
Alaina : "WHOA REALLY?! COOL I CAN TAKE YOU RUNNING!" She started excitedly, sitting up on the banister to stand and practically backflip, landing so softly on her feet it barely made a sound. She hummed happily, half twirling with her steps partially to seemingly entertain herself. She half- jogged out towards the front door, bouncing in her steps to get him to follow her. "But come on -!"
Noko : Yeah ?! REALLY. I can't wait to run again-... well... I think I used to run...  He seemed lost a moment, unsure of what made him think it, snapping out of his tought as she started to bound and jogg around him.  Oh ! Y-Yeah ! I'm coming !  He started to walk, trying to move as he could, which wasn't easy.  SO. We talked about me, but. What about you ? Why are you here ? Jewel seems to know you well... have you been here for a while ?
Alaina : "Wha-? Oh pft- my mom died and my dads not around very much, so I was moved here. Been a few months~" She explained on a giggle, poking her tongue out at him playfully. "They called me 'trouble' so I landed a spot in here because I was apparently TOO DIFFICULT for the other places. Figuuuuures."
Noko : Woah.... I-... I'm sorry... I mean... you seem to take it well... and you're here so... you sure probably lost your parents, I just didn't...  He looked away, feeling uneasy, it took him a moment before this one readjusted his cap.  You seem happy though... that's good... I guess? But honestly, I don't see why they think you're trouble ? I mean... you seem nice ?
Alaina : "Eh? I mean -" She paused for just a moment, her face faltering just a second as she looked over at him, leading him outside onto the sidewalk, kicking rocks along the way. "Here's better than home anyway - I hated it there. I can go outside and do stuff and run and play -! I mean there's still school but I have friends there and its not sooooooooo bad I GUESS?! Oh haha and I got kicked out of the last one because I kept climbing the roof. They don't mind so much here though. I mean, I still get in trouble but - I think they know I need the exercise so they're nice or somethin' I dunno." She said on a laugh, looking up at the building with a  broad smile.
Noko : He froze a moment as her expression flattered, making him think he might have said something he shouldn't, but as she spoke he quickly hoined her, feeling relieved by her broad smile.  Woah ! You climb buildings ?! That's neat ! I think I actually used to do things like that ? Like... the only memories I can recall clearly is me climbing one ! Maybe I would be able to do that again with my new leg ? That would be really awesome... though I would have to be used to my new leg first... but...-  He blinked as he noticed that she looked up at the building, his eyes really wide.  You want to climb right now ???
Alaina : "Ahehehe....I ALWAYS wanna climb." She stated plainly, like it was obvious, rolling her shoulders and neck to stretch them luxuriously. "Your memory problems seem kind of funny. Like - amnesia just sounds like it would be weird anyway. WELP. YOU can't move much so you can watch me climb or watch me run." She giggled, leaning up against the wall of building in a relaxed manner. "So what should I do today."
Noko : Finch smiled as he listened to her, kinda wishing that she could join her before wave his hand.  Yeah, amnesia is a pain in the butt, thrust me. I'm not looking to remember what I forgot, it's even worse when I catch old glimpse of memories since they don't make sense. People have their faces blurred... and I couldn't remember what I looked like, neither my name. It's my nurse that nicknamed me Finch because I was jolty.  He chuckled happily before thinking.  Mmmmh, what would get you in trouble ? Perhaps you should just run for now ?
Alaina : "That sounds like it's really annoying." She stated, turning again to move down the sidewalk and head towards a few fenced in athletic grounds not far away. "Fiiiiine, I'll be good and just head to the track. So.....you don't even know your original name? How long were you in that hospital anyway?" She asked, her curious streak clearly not satisfied.
Noko : Yeeeeep, it is.  He slowly followed her, as she headed to a flat groung that was perfect to run over, shrugging as she became curious.  Nope. And I'm not trying to remember it, I'm looking forward instead, it's better then to cry over what I lost, right ?  He offered him a nice smile.  Beside, I can't miss my family, I don't even know what they look.... like... ANYWAY. I have been for the hospital for at least a month ? I can't tell.
Alaina : "....Mm. Maybe keep that to yourself? I can see kids around here getting jealous of that kinda thing. Aloooootta them have painful pasts they wish they could have blurred like that." She said on a shrug, giving him the first serious glance before smiling again. "Man a whole month in an hospital...no wonder you're itching to get out..." She glanced towards the running track, moving to stretch her fluidly limber legs before hopping around in place to 'warm up'
Noko : O-oh... I'm sorry... I didn't meant to- be rude or anything...  He grimaced faintly, looking away as he covered his eyesockets with his hat. It was odd... he definitely had his own 'past' that he preferred to forget as he had been tortured, just thinking about it made him shiver.  U-uhm... y-yeah... And I didn't had my leg until a while so I was stuck in a really boring wheelchair for the first few weeks... that wasn't really fun... had to recover from my back first... and well let's just say I wasn't in good shape when they find me...
Alaina : "Oh not me, I don't care - just others - " she paused when he mentioned the back injury, her curious face widening again, craving information. "....how...how injured were you?? From what?? You...that seems odd." She started to mutter, ears twitching slightly, alert for any noise in the immediate area. "...Unless...it's something YOU don't want to talk about." She stated flatly, recognizing some of the mannerisms he displayed as he started to talk.
Noko : Well uhm... He think fast, he definitely had to be careful about what he said... he couldn't tell the thrut, but he didn't wanted to lie...  I almost died so... yeah I don't really want to talk about all the detail, it wasn't really pleasant... eh..  He rubbed his plastered arm.  I... I will be honest with you... I... kinda have night terror for time to time... it shouldn't be as bad as before... but uhm... if I start to yell... and stuff... would be better if you get an adult...
Alaina : "Whoa..." Kisara stared at him for a moment in surprise, but shrugged it off like she preferred not to address it directly. "Well thanks for the info- hey, I'm gonna run a few laps! Ya should like - enjoy the outdoors in stuff. Be back in a flash!" She flashed him a wide, toothy grin again before darting to the track, her long, limber legs carrying her fast to run a couple laps on the running track that was right in front of them. There was a bleacher stands around the track as well - maybe sporting events were held here?
Noko : The young skeleton was glad to know that the information was enough to distract her from all those questions... welp he would have to keep everything to himself... it's not like it was going to be hard, it wasn't like it was easy to talk about it anyway.  Sure, run, I'm gonna Watch you go and try to keep up.  He let out an amused laugh as he started to walk when she was running, looking around the place and just relaxed by breathing the fresh air.
Alaina : Kisara darted around the running track, displaying a practiced level of speed and flexibility. It only took her a few minutes to run her first lap around he young skeleton, waving and giggling happily as she did so. She barely seemed to be breaking a sweat even as she was clearly moving pretty fast and pushing pretty hard, like she was used to being athletic. She did this a few more times, happy to get a good, solid run in while she could.
Noko :  Finch admired Kisara run, a smile on his face as he was impressed by her speed but also feeling slightly envious, part of him wished he could do the same, but instead, he was simply limping on the side of the track, being as slow as ever and even taking break to rubs his sore legs, realizing that his leg was strained from moment he had slipped by accident in the stair. Resigned, he sat on the nearby  bench to relax his leg as he kept watching her run. Go, Go, Go ! Show me your best!
Alaina : Kisara's eyes seemed to light up at the encouragement, and she managed a couple more laps before sprinting directly towards him, launching herself into a long series of flips and cartwheels, bubbly laughs ringing in the air as she finally tumbled into the grass in front of him, lying flat on her back with heavy but happy pants. "AHAHHAHAHA  - I feel better~~~"
Noko :  He observed her making more laps around the track, impressed by her endurance before smiling at her once she came back and flop on the grass, laughing along.  That was awesome ! You did so many laps and so fast !  I hope I'll be able to get close to that once I get my new leg !  He let out an heavy sigh while massaging his leg.  I can't imagine the rest of my life without running...
Alaina : "AAAAWWWW, you'll get it!! You said you've only had that leg a few weeks right??? It takes time to adjust- and with all the other injuries i'm not surprised. HEY once you get it tho we should like - do this regularly! I need to stretch my limbs or I GO CRAZY I TELL YA!!" She shouted, not even bothering to restrain her loud and almost squeaky voice as she flailed her arms and legs from where she lay, as if to emphasize her point.
Noko :  He laughed at her friend's amusing behavior, she clearly were loud, but he didn't mind it even a bit, it felt so alive like that.  Ehehe, yeah that would be nice to train with you and get better at running !  The child smiled cheerfully before he stretched himself as well, letting out and heavy groan, sighing as he felt his bones rattle.  That was good to walk though... So much better then lay in a bed all day.
Alaina : "Aww you poor thing, you really were all laid up, werentcha?" She sat herself up, blinking up at him curiously. "Any idea how much longer you're gonna be in the cast?" She asked curiously, wondering just how long she'd have to wait for her roommate to be fully healed up.
Noko : I-I'm not a poor thing...  He said with an annoyed tone, he wasn't weak and he didn't wanted to be pitied because of his current state. He rubbed his cast a moment, looking at it.  It... might take a couple of month, it wasn't a little fracture...but its healing well so far, so I hope for the best.  He crossed his arms as he looked away.  Sorry, I don't really like to talk about it, I had enough with the nurses pampering me like if I was a fragile thing.
Alaina : "Hey, its not pity from me, I just know I'd go freaking crazy if I was in that position." She said on a shrug, glancing down at the cast again before stretching again. "What, am I NOT supposed to feel a little bad? I can totally understand how annoying it'd be..." She kept staring at him, but sighed and ending up shifting in her place. "Ya don't gotta talk, sorry - natural curiosity and all. And if you're that interested in athletics...well...it'd be nice to have someone around, ya know." And with that she collapsed backwards onto the grass again, staring up at the sky.
Noko :  He was surprised by her answer, only for his cheeks to warm up in response, the child ended up shrug his shoulder before sat next to her and let himself flop on the grass as well carefreely.  I don't know... it's just weird to get all that kind of attention toward me. It would be just nice to be see like a normal kid that don't need any help.  He let out a sigh, closing his eyes a moment as he rested his hands over his chest. That kind of reasoning would probably be seen like exagerated... but at the same time, considering what he WAS, he couldn't help it but have the feeling that he was weird.  You don't have to be sorry for anything... it's okay to be curious... but uhm... you're right... I would be really happy to run with you and just got nothing to think about but that.
Alaina : "Eh, you should try to enjoy it as much as you can. People just want to help, nothing wrong with that." She shrugged again, staring up at the blue sky with another heavy sigh and a long pause. "Better than negative attention...ANYWAY - once your arm is out of its cast I can show you how to climb the building? It's a lot of fun~" She turned to wink at him, flashing another wide, toothy grin.
Noko : He let out a nice laugh, Kisara was really nice, he didn't knew that he would get along with anyone until now... that was actually nice to have some kind of friend in this weird place. He smiled back at her as she proposed to show him how to climb the building, he then looked at the sky, relaxed.  Yeah, that would be nice to learn how to do that... thank you... you're really nice...
His time with Kisara as a 'playmate' was really nice through the next couple of days, even if he couldn't do much he always did it best to push his body to the maximum and even if at the end he felt sore and exhausted, it actually helped him to have mindless dream. Everyday he felt like he could push himself even further and he spend most of his days outside not really interested to play with other kids. As the day finally came, Finch was waiting in the waiting room in company of miss.Jewel, he was getting impatient, not only about his new leg that he was actually really excited to see Fondu. He had missed her so much since the past week, calling her everyday to tell about what he had been doing during the day... but he actually missed her even more whenever he did it.
