i think i've vaguely mentioned it once but For Me they met thru siobhan 💆‍♀️ joaquin did live in québec thru early childhood but moved around a lot w his mom and eventually (by high school) ended up in the same town as candy + dominic and obvi siobhan + sergio by extension (though the bros somehow never crossed paths until years later when siobhan linked them up as roommates 🔗) i'm also confused by my own convoluted timeline + the conflation of real world places + sims places dw 🧘‍♀️

While the girls are at their dad's for the weekend (and her sister is babysitting Egypt), Marguerite booked a last minute flight to Windenburg to be with her boo thang, Scar. They've been arguing a lot lately since He's been busy for the past month meeting with new Distro's (girl, I binged Power and have been lusting over Ghost...and Cane Tejada a few months ago and now I'm here 🥴) and restructuring his gang. He's looking to expand 15th Street, so that sorta, kinda got in the way of spending time with her.

Although they're not official, He cares a bout her quite a bit. More than he's ever really cared about any woman (but balancing business and pleasure to the capacity she desires has been a struggle for him)

They're situation is already long distance with her being in San Sequoia and him in Chestnut Ridge. Add in him traveling to WIndenburg, it's been more of challenge than usual to see one another. However, He always makes sure to send her Roses (her favorite flower) to let her know he's thinking about her, during the times that they can't speak. Since she booked her flight last minute, he was able to give her flowers and a cute little note in person

...and She's been looking at him like she wants to get him pregnant all. night. long.

GIRL! 😩 He spoils her with things all the time but time isn't really something he can give her much of these days. However, her toxic ass is standing right beside him. I be tryna tell her to stand up but she doesn't wanna hear it. He makes her weak in the knees, so Imma just let ol' girl be great for now.

Consider This an Early Retirement

The day is finally here. The dreaded shareholders meeting. Gideon is seated with the other members of the board. His father and grandfather are seated across from him looking smug and proud. It's only a matter of minutes. "We'll get things started"

Viktor: The most important part of this meeting is to discuss my grandson Gideon who is expected to be next in line. He will take over with the expectation that he marries Miss Wagner bringing both families together, which will benefit everyone's pockets

There is silence in the boardroom. The Wagner family is small but they have access to a lot of prime land in Windenburg. Being able to have access to those lands would lead to fatter wallets for everyone involved. Everyone has their own thoughts.

Viktor: If everyone agrees for Gideon to take over his father say aye so we can continue with the meeting.

Of the 6 people seated in the boardroom, only 1 voiced their agreement. Victor's jaw tenses in anger and glares at the remaining members whose silence infuriates Viktor

Viktor: What's the meaning of this? I thought we all want the same thing?

The silence is deafening, no one answers or looks directly at Victor there is nothing to say. They know what the real issue is. Viktor heart drops, something isn't right and he looks straight at Gideon.

Gideon stares right back at him, cold and confident. That little shit did something and Victor has no idea what is happening. Gideon finally speaks up

Gideon: I'm going to have to disagree. I'm not a pawn that can be used and what gives you the ability to make that decision?

Viktor: I'm your grandfather and a major shareholder of course I have the power to do what needs to be done

Gideon: I don't think that statement is accurate"

At that moment Ren steps in and places a file in front of Viktor. "According to that file, you don't have the majority of the shares"

Viktor: What are you talking about?? Our family built this company from the ground up. What did you do?"

Gideon stays silent and Ren sends out a message, in a moment Daisuke steps into the boardroom. Viktor eyes snap up to Daisuke and barks out "Who the hell are you?"

Gideon gets up from his seat and Daisuke takes over and adjusts his suit, once comfortable he addresses Viktor

Daisuke: If you read the file in front of you, my name is listed as a board member with the most shares

Viktor: What the hell did you say?

Daisuke: Ren please explain

Ren: Mr. Takahashi has accumulated the shares of Gideon, his mother and a few members of the board have also sold their shares to Mr. Takahashi. meaning he has a total of 52% of the shares, making him have controlling power

Viktor's head is buzzing, ears ringing "Gideon?"

Gideon: We don't have controlling power anymore, if we combine all the remaining shares in the Williams name it's nothing. Daisuke has a few changes he plans on making

Daisuke: Gideon is right, whatever merger with the Wanger family is dissolved. We won't be needing their assistance. Secondly, your obsession with your grandson's marriage partner along with your son's (Emerson) inability to make any impact makes me question if you still need your positions. With that being said my first suggestion would be to remove you and Mr. Emerson from your positions effectively immediately and Gideon will be your replacement. All in favour say please raise your hands"

The remaining members in the board room silently raise their hands

Daisuke: Perfect. I appreciate all the effort you have put into the company so far. I will make sure to take it even further. If anyone has any questions please direct them to Ren as we get everything in order. This meeting is over" Dasiuke adjusts his suit and leaves the meeting.

The boardroom is left in an awkward silence the Williams family imploded in such a quick and ruthless manner. There are no words of comfort or assurance for Emerson and Viktor, as everyone slowly leaves the meeting.

Viktor: Gideon you little shit, how dare you

Gideon: I made it clear to drop your obsession with my marriage. I told you if you keep pushing there will be consequences

Emerson: Is Grayson worth all this? You ruined us, what are we going to do now

Gideon: Mom and I will be fine. I hope you and Grandad can figure something out. Consider this an early retirement, maybe you can enjoy your final days in Tomorang.

Gideon leaves them alone in the boardroom still in shock about what happened. They were fired?

Helena: Right. About that... [laughs nervously] I’m not actually sure I want to go.

Ulrike: Are you kidding me, Helena? Don’t be silly. Of course you want to go!

Helena: I don’t know, Ulrike. The more I think about it, the less appealing it sounds. I mean, what am I really going to be doing? Splitting a shitty apartment with three roommates and running coffee orders every day?

Ulrike: It won’t be like that forever.

Helena: It just doesn’t seem worth it to me.

Ulrike: [cautiously] Well... what are you going to do then?

Helena: I thought I might go to Windenburg with you instead. Oh, come on! It’s not a crazy idea. I could work on grad school apps, find a seasonal gig in some quaint souvenir shop. We wouldn’t have to worry about the long distance thing.

Ulrike: It’s just... it’s called a retreat for a reason.

Helena: I didn’t realize I was what you needed to retreat from.

Ulrike: That’s not what I meant. But you know how uninspired I’ve been lately.

Helena: So now I’m not inspiring enough for you?

Ulrike: No! But I do think a change would benefit-

Helena: Are you breaking up with me?

Ulrike: [under breath] Oh my god. [to waiter] Can you top me up over here, please?

Helena: Faust, it really feels like you’re breaking up with me right now.

Ulrike: Well, maybe we should cool things off for a bit. Listen, you’ve never been anything

but supportive, and I appreciate that. Of course I do. But sometimes it feels like it’s at the expense of supporting yourself.

Helena: What is that supposed to mean?

Ulrike: I mean, when was the last time we did anything because you wanted to? You’re such a good cheerleader. I love that about you. But I worry you’re neglecting your own goals to make me happy. It’s important for you to be your own person. Maybe some time apart will help.

Helena: Well, if it’s time apart you want, we might as well just start now.

Ulrike: Zhao, I’m not trying to make you feel bad. We can at least finish dinner.

The house has been emptied and Ashley and Colin are walking through it thinking about all the good things this home has given them. It's not exclusively exciting to move to a new home, there's also a twinge of sadness from leaving one part of your life behind. * * * I've been completely uninspired these last months and haven't loaded the game in what feels like forever. I still want to make progress with this save but I'm feeling more and more that I'll have to cut back on both screenshots and mods to get anywhere. When I started this save an eternity ago it was purely vanilla, I only took a few screenshots here and there and had an absolute blast playing. I'm feeling nostalgia for something that is 100% in my own hands to bring back, it's tragic really. I've been telling myself that when/if I finally get to the third generation I'll start fresh with absolute minimal mods in Windenburg and I absolutely will not be playing with all the kids of this gen. I think my resolution for 2024 will be to get there. Let's see how it goes! 🤞

Elizabeth headed down to the lower level of the pub, where a man sat at the bar. She took the seat beside him and drank from the wine he had waiting for her.

"Lady Elizabeth, it is wonderful to see you. Thank you for writing to me," the man greeted.

"There was no way I was going to miss visiting you when I came home! I've missed you terribly, Edmund."

"I've missed you too. Are you still riding?"

"Daily. Though my new squire is nothing compared to you. How hard will it be for me to convince you to come to Brindleton Bay and become my squire?"

Edmund smiled, "I'm honoured by the offer, my Lady, but I think your father would be more than a little upset with you for stealing his staff."

"Oh, pish posh, papa has plenty of squires. He'll barely notice you're gone. I, on the other hand, have longed for you every day. My horse feels unruly and messy now compared to when you cared for her."

Elizabeth ran her finger around the rim of her glass before saying suggestively, "there are other things I've missed about you too..."

Edmund subtly looked around to check for eavesdroppers before responding, "As have I."

"Did I tell you I'm staying in Windenburg tonight?" asked Elizabeth, seemingly changing topic. "I didn't feel up for travelling so far at night."

"Very understandable, my Lady."

"I've actually booked at room at this very inn," Elizabeth kept her eyes fixed on Edmund and smiled.

Edmund smiled knowingly in return, "A good choice, my Lady. I hear the beds are very comfortable. You shall have a good night's rest before your travels tomorrow."

Elizabeth sighed breathily and whispered, "I don't want to rest."

Without another word, she got up from the bar and began to walk towards the inn's bedrooms. Edmund waited until she was out of sight before following after her.

Edmund pushed open the door to Elizabeth's bedroom and she ran into his arms, passionately kissing him.

"Finally," said Elizabeth as Edmund lifted her into his arms, "to be with a man with some energy!"

As he threw her down onto the bed, Elizabeth moaned, "are you sure you won't come to Brindleton? We could be as we were - my husband would never suspect."

Edmund untied Elizabeth's dress and replied, "Perhaps I can be convinced."

Hellooo :) thanks for asking!

The magic realm is divided into a magical class system. Think: the more powerful mages = upper class / lower skilled mages = lower class. Proper training and education is vital to being a spellcaster. If you don't have the means to attend the School of Magic to excel in your practice you're basically pushed out of society as lower class citizen. Nasty work, but the ultimate truth is it was designed to keep a power imbalance and it's creation was essential so that the Sage Council was needed. The sages make a lot of decisions for the well being of Magic Society and it was always for their own benefit at the end of the day.

Here's a snippet of my WIP "magic realm" It's completed divided in half between the classes. Higher ranking mages are able to reap the benefits of having more knowledge, thus more power and can afford to live in the luxurious side of the realm where as the residents of the lower realm are in the more densely populated city area where they mostly hold laborious jobs and sell poorly crafted potions as way to get by.

And when I say border, imagine an invisible veil, it's purpose to separate the two realms. To travel back and forth is to utilize portals. It's sole purpose to keep the realms apart.

And here's some Sage Facts:

Simeon, Grace, L. Faba and Morgyn were all born and raised in the upper realm. So they have this sort of better than you attitude at times, some more exclusively than others..which is why Simeon turned his nose up at going to a lower realm pub or how Grace got far better training in things like combat from attending a better school than Tomax who never attended school at all.

Tomax was born and raised in the lower realm. He was just a poor kid, often stealing to get by. He was able to apprenticed at 13 and made it his life goal to do whatever he had to get out of the lower realm. It's also why he may not be as powerful magic wise, but he's plucky and that counts for something lol

I'm still building the world, which is why I say it's WIP. I'm using TOOL mod to furnish the world and make it really feel like the magic realm not not just Windenburg, you know? I also use this mod for the map replacement and world edit which helps the immersion :)

[AKIO] Yeah, so this restaurant is run by my older half-brother. This is essentially his inheritance from his grandfather on mother's side, so technically this is a family thing, just not my family, I guess?

[AKIO] *deep sigh* Fuck, family is complicated, huh? I wouldn’t trade it for the world, but some of the dynamics I would. A part of the tension going on with my family is my dad threatening to cut Isao off for taking over this restaurant. I don’t know if it’s one of his messed up ways of dealing with the grief of that failed marriage, but it’s really torn things apart.

[ELIZABETH] Oh, that must be so hard for your brother. I can tell he's just trying to honour his family's legacy in a meaningful way. After my mom died, one of my aunts felt like she was owed something because my mom was the "prettier" sister and she"suffered" because of her. It's really messed up how legitimate feelings of grief can be dealt with in such unhealthy ways. It makes me nervous for Kath's wedding.

[AKIO] I can imagine! That's really fucked up with your aunt though, I hope your sister is able to have her dream wedding.Now that I think about it, it’s the entitlement that gets in the way. Like you said, its not healing wounds in a healthy way. Anyway, I want to know more about your mom and your family. If you're comfortable sharing.

Family matters, and you matter to me.

[ELIZABETH] My mom was amazing! Totally warm, welcoming and made you feel like you mattered. She knew how to stand her ground and be bold, yet she was also shy. She passed away from heart failure when the twins were 17, Caroline was 15 and I was 13, she was so young. You know how it feels to be punched in the gut and have the wind taken out of you? I felt like that every day for almost a year. Being more on the quiet side, I for sure slipped through the cracks. My dad did his best, but it's hard to come to the realization that your parents aren't perfect.

[ELIZABETH] I think that’s why I went to school so far away. I wanted to get away from the place and the dynamics, not my dad or my siblings. To be completely honest with you, Akio, and I’ve only said this to Lily. I finally felt like I grieved my mom fully when Owen took my sorry ass out of Del Sol Valley. I had a good cry in his car and I got everything off my chest.

[ELIZABETH] It was really special because Owen and I don't always get a long, but during that road trip to Windenburg, we really bonded and opened up to each other. Family dynamics are rough, but when I learned to see my older siblings as people beyond just being my siblings, I love them more! I don't feel like I've been punched in the chest when I think about mom. She'll always be a part of me.And, I can carry that into other areas of my life, especially in my relationships. I still can't believe it's been almost 10 years.

[AKIO] Thank you for allowing me to know something so deep and special.

I learn so much about everything from you, Liz. Maybe I need to see my family as people beyond just as my family.

Maybe it would take out some of the emotion? You and your beautiful mind have given me something to chew on.

[ELIZABETH] We're all works in progress, Akio. We tend to figure things out as we go along.

[AKIO] Well, I'm lucky to have you in my life as I figure shit out. *winks*

[ELIZABETH] Wait, were you hitting on me? *winks* I'm grateful for you, babe. I've never felt safer with someone, I'm grateful for your emotional intelligence, and it's pretty sexy if I'm honest.

[AKIO] *blushes* Well, babe I'm so absolutely serious about, us. I've never felt cared for by anyone like you.

I see how passionate you are and how you care for others. I want you to know that I only do serious and committed, and I want that with you.

[ELIZABETH] *sighs deeply, relieved* I only want something serious with you, Akio.

[AKIO] Good, glad to hear that, beautiful. I adore you, so much and I can't wait to explore what life has to offer with you by my side.

[ELIZABETH] *to herself* Ohhh, hmmm!

[ELIZABETH] *lowers voice* Explore, you say? I've been thinking about 'exploring' too…

[ELIZABETH] *gently caresses Akio's ankle with her foot - a little flirty game of footsie*

[ELIZABETH] I wonder if we're thinking about the same type of exploring, hmm? The each other kind?

[AKIO] *gulps, eyes widen *

[AKIO] *lowers voice* Well, Elizabeth Grace, I initially wasn't thinking of it that way, but I'd be pleased to facilitate that. Juri is sleeping over at Eiko's tonight... So we can get that exploring' figured out.

Charles - He thought it was for the best. Illyria will need a Queen when I become King and Victoria ticked all the boxes. When my father gets his mind set on something its pretty much impossible to get him to change it.

Anyway - we make it work I guess. I wouldn’t listen to Margarets hyperbole

Vivi - I had to get away for a while
