Oughhh, Takaaki was never seen as good enough by his dad and he tried SO FUCKING HARD to prove he was the best. Better than everyone else. His genius of a father would see that his son was just as smart. Not a genius, but worked for his smarts. Yet he wasn't good enough. His father never turned his way or ever uttered "Good job" when he'd show his grades. How...amazing he was. Yet he still tried. He wanted love. He wanted attention from his terrible father who only looked his way to either beat him or yell at him.

He wanted father to see how good he was. That he was perfect. He was perfect. Why wouldn't he look at him?! Why?! Why wouldn't the smart, amazing Toranosuke Ishimaru FUCKING LOOK AT HIM FOR ONCE?! WHY WON'T HE SAY THAT HE LOVES HIM???

Even with the achievements Takaaki got at school. All the hard work. The good enough deeds he did...

He still wasn't perfect.

But Taka was. Taka...Taka was more perfect than he ever was. His father gave Taka more love than Takaaki himself ever got. He didn't even remember the last time his father looked at him with such a bright smile...

Why...

Why wasn't he ever perfect?

This is one of the few things Takaaki thinks about. One of the many things that he resented about his father. He was jealous of his own son! But he could never hate Taka. He hated Toranosuke. He resented him. After all the pain and sorrow he endured, all the hardwork he did. He still was never good enough.

Because Takaaki wasn't perfect.

But Kiyotaka was. He always would...perfect.

INTJ: My type and the best type obviously. Kidding. Not really. Healthy/mature ones are interesting and helpful, nice and easy to talk to. I've noticed immature ones try a little too hard to seem edgy and cool to fit into the "cold" INTJ stereotype when that's not a flex at all. I think a lot of us are impatient and stubborn too.

ENTJ: Often driven and motivated individuals who put in a lot of effort into what they do. I admire their hardworking nature. I've unfortunately come across a very unhealthy one before who was quite possessive and narcissistic. I did not have to deal with them personally, but a few of my friends did and their horror stories of that ENTJ will probably be stuck with me forever.

INTP: Their minds are...unique. I wonder what goes on in there. Such weird yet interesting individuals. Sometimes a bit rude, unintentional or not. My younger sister is one and I have to resist the urge to fight with her a lot lmao, but maybe that's just us being siblings.

ENTP: Love them. ENxPs in general 🤌🤌. I've never come across a boring ENTP. Often so chaotic. Never fail to make me laugh. I can have the funnest conversations with them. So witty.

INFJ: One of my best friends is one and it's kinda funny how similar yet different we both are. Ni dom things I guess. Other INFJs I've observed seem to have a lot of patience and kindness. Genuinely have a good heart and want the best for others.

ENFJ: I've only met two personally. Can be funny and witty, really approachable people. Both are very loyal and care a lot about their families, they carry a lot of responsibilities for others. Do not like to show their struggles, will probably mention it briefly before changing the subject.

INFP: Probably my least favorite type due to having bad experiences with them. Unhealthy ones can be so whiney and pathetic. Always want to cry and complain but never actually do anything about it. Can burst emotionally without warning. They can be so exhausting to deal with. I'm not gonna automatically hate you if you're an INFP though, that's just stupid lol, but I will be wary. I only have one INFP friend for now and likely because she's a lot older than me, she's much calmer and more considerate compared to the previous INFPs I've encountered.

ENFP: Some weirdos fr but I love it. Always so talkative and excited. Why are you guys lowkey kinda sad though 😭

ISTJ: I haven't come across any irl yet, but a few of my favorite fictional characters are ISTJs. One of my fav kpop idols as well. Not really sure where the boring stereotype comes from as I think ISTJs are quite nice.

ESTJ: I don't think I've met any yet and have typed a few idols as an ESTJ. I know they get a bad rep, but I honestly just think it stems from ESTJ's tendency to be direct, no bs, which can be intimidating/overwhelming for people. They can be really weird and silly only if they're comfortable.

ISFJ: I don't know any ISFJs irl, but seeing ISFJ idols/celebrities, they're just usually nice and kind people. Quiet but do enjoy being with others.

ESFJ: Honestly think my other best friend may be one 🤔 I do think she has a high Fe for sure. They seem to care the most about their presentation and other's opinions of them.

ISTP: I've only met one and they were okay. Pretty chill and had immense "idgaf" energy. But that attitude was also what made them a bit unlikeable as it extended to having a disregard for feelings and morals. Nobody's perfect, but I don't think it's that difficult to have common human decency. I do like a few ISTP characters and celebrities though.

ESTP: One of my older siblings is one and we get along fine. She has a good eye for aesthetics. Her and other ESTPs I've seen don't really seem to be super serious people, they're just trying their best to enjoy life. Adventurous and open minded. Can't seem to stay still.

ISFP: Have only met a few irl and I've also typed several kpop idols as one. From what I've seen, they are a lot calmer compared to INFPs. They're quite passionate but more realistic individuals though, always going for what they want (likely due to aux Se). Also quite blunt lol but it does not top IxTP's honesty.

ESFP: Have not met any irl yet, but from observing an ESFP I follow and ESFP celebrities, I like their straightforwardness. Passionate and expressive. Funny.

Scout

he retained some French from when he was little. He’s not good at it in general but is a lot better at understanding it than speaking it. He can eavesdrop on Spy but can’t conjugate être. I also like versions of Scout that speak Spanish when people hc his mom as Latina.

Sniper

one of my all time favorite headcanons is Māori Sniper. Also, if you’ve seen this blog you’ll know i believe he’s an autistic king.

Engineer

I know a lot of people tend to portray him as a tender, kind, empathetic guy but I genuinely don’t think he’s ever felt empathy or genuine compassion in his life. Sure he knows how to act sweet and polite and soft and nonthreatening all the time but no matter how long you’ve known him, if you get in his way he’s already designing a new machine in his head to blow you away into the last century.

Demoman

Objectum Demoman is one of my all-time favorites. For real. I will genuinely ship him with eyelander, idgaf.

Soldier

I really love trans soldier headcanons. His transmasc swag is off the charts. It’s hard to come up with hcs for Soldier because he’s so fucking wild you could put him in any situation and it could be true. Lived in a diving bell for two years? Sure. Favorite food is un-husked kernels of wheat? Absolutely. Replaced his dick with his big toe so he could use it to walk? I could go on.

Heavy

during and after he obtained his phd in Russian literature he published a number of fiction books under a pen name. They’re all tasteful romances with subplots of political intrigue. They gained high critical praise and are still moderately popular in bookstores in Russia and some neighboring countries. all the royalties from sales go to his family. He’s also an autistic king.

Pyro

I don’t have many headcanons for pyro because I like keeping the whole mystery. I don’t wonder what’s under the mask or come up with possible names because I think the whole of the character is that mystery. But I will say that as great as unicorns and rainbows and cupcakes are, there’s really nothing Pyro loves more than hanging out with Engie in his workshop and pretending to help.

Medic

as far as my own headcanons, I have a lot. Here’s some. He does not have a driver’s license—he taught himself to drive by stealing a car. He’s insecure about his voice but he talks too much to really care. He’s always wanted a motorcycle. He puts drugs in his morning coffee. He doesn’t like classical music, he listens to the top 40s on the radio and sings along. The peppier the better.

One of my favorite Medic headcanons I ever heard was that he only has medical training as a veterinarian and I think that’s hilarious because it could absolutely be real.

Spy

He’s smart but he’s not as highly educated as he wants people to think. He never went to a university and maybe never even finished school. Just like Scout, he’s so damn good at what he does that he can afford to be more concerned with appearance and showing off than anything else. They’re both committed to making people see what they want them to see and nothing deeper.

been thinking too hard about my batman mob au. so i would like to share it. this is so long im sorry let me put it under a cut

i want to begin by saying that i think the only way bruce could feasibly become a mob boss is if he was able to be swayed to see that "clean" methods would genuinely do no good and in fact succeed in achieving more harm due to how much corruption and crime permeates the system. i think it would take a LOT to convince bruce of this, so he's kind of the hardest character to put in a mob au. however for the sake of fun we will suspend our disbelief a little bit!

okay, moving on, alfred: he's long been proven to be bruce's biggest enabler. i think he would get over it and end up helping him as he does as batman

as for dick: ooh boy. okay. so first of all i DO think bruce would let him kill zucco. however!! i think as dick grows up within the mob his strong code of morals will also begin to conflict with the lifestyle. but he's stuck there because bruce. insert all those posts about how dick grayson loves freedom and he also loves bruce and those things are at constant war with each other and because he loves bruce he sometimes clips his own wings. etc etc. i think he is the talia al ghul of this whole sitch if you get what i mean

speaking of talia!!! i believe her father would still be at odds with bruce bc yes, bruce is in crime, but bruce refuses to join with the league. so they semi-preserve their canon dynamic, except i think there's more opportunity for cooperation between talia and bruce considering talia's lexcorp era. in fact i do believe that lexcorp and waynecorp would become business allies during talia's time as ceo

but jason isn't dead. what his kidnappers hoped to do was turn him against his benefactor, taunt him about how it's been months and bruce still hasn't been able to save him, had refused to save him. but one night the door's left ajar and the sound of the TV drifts in, talking about how bruce is waging a bloody gang war, the first he's ever instigated, and jason... well. :)

as for jason—i think he would be the most loyal of the bunch. the first thing i actually dreamed up wrt this AU was a reimagining of ditf/utrh! in here, he's kidnapped by a rival gang. they demand bruce an impossible ransom, and bruce has no choice but to refuse. so bruce is sent a video of jason being killed.

babs does join the fray still! her story arc is mostly the same except that she partners with the huntress instead of batman. their ages are closer together so it's a slightly different dynamic

tim will remain a civilian. he will, however, be a very helpful civilian, in that he's the one who's stalking dick grayson & trying to prove that dick's involved in organized crime. him and dick will have the saddest tragickest "we could've been brothers. but not in this life. not ever." type of relationship. like jaderoy but platonic.

also tim & helena will have the same littlebrothernephew relationship that they have in canon 🫶🫶🫶🫶🫶

i guess jpv will get roped in in a similar way to canon, but the idea of bane doing what he did to helena makes me so so sad :( however since she is taking batman's narrative space in this story then i think it should still proceed. i will then also insert a little bit of the vichelena agenda here—

in the wake of bane, JPV WILL STILL STEP IN AS HUNTRESS. "but they'll know he's not a woman" COWARDS. just give him a dye job and he'll look like helena. all white people look the same. he can pad the fucking suit or he can get the fuck out.

as for steph, she will absolutely be a vigilante alongside the huntress. her father is still cluemaster, after all, so she'll follow a similar arc to canon except it's helena and not bruce that she'll develop a complex mentor relationship with!!

i think helena can see a little of herself in steph. i think part of helena envies steph's moral compass also. iirc at steph's age, helena still thought her mafia family was okay & that it was just the people who killed them that were bad. yet steph, who's half her age, has no such illusions about her father, and is already fighting to try and bring him down

cass!!!! cass will still come to gotham!!!!! i can't see a way for cass to be on bruce's side in this au simply bc of how strong her morals are. she killed a man and never ever wanted to kill again, even with shiva where it was kill or be killed, she had already made up her mind to let herself be killed in the end. so she is going to be on the vigilante side :]

also, it would be amazing for me personally if cass came to gotham during azbats (...azhuntress?) era. ohhh lord. a situation RIPE for incredible interactions

i still haven't read damian & duke comics properly yet so that's going to have to be added in the future. but that's what's been rattling around in my brain so far!

favorite thing about them: I love how much PIZZAZ he adds to the early game! How can I not like a character with such a flamboyant, demanding personality whose very presence is enough to make everyone react with shock, contempt, laughter, and awe? Navarre is an ass, but a necessary ass to carry the early narrative and add so much excitement to it. I cannot help but giggle to myself everytime he appears. AND THEN, all that character growth in IVA towards becoming a better, more self-aware ghostie. Ohhh I love he so muuuch~

least favorite thing about them: Definitely the unnecessary perversion in IVA. Enough said.

favorite line: The "dawdling Casualries" line will always hold a special place in my heart, but I am also really fond of the stuff he says when you speak with him during the training drills in one of the rest spots,

"O-Oh, it's you… I thought you to be a demon. Don't start me so… I've never carried a blade any heavier than a knife before. If Mother were to see me dashing about with such a weapon in hand, I think that she would faint…"

And

Bad edit aside, can't forget the actual bros, Navarre and Gaston lmao. I really enjoyed their sibling relationship and it opened up so much insight into their familial life and personal struggles. I'm so so happy they got to rekindle at the enddd, it was so sweet

OTP: Everyone knows that I am the sole resident of the Issachar x Navarre Crack Ship Kingdom!! Idgaf that they've never canonically met nor even know of each other's existence, the POTENTIAL between them is enough to keep me content and well fed! We support random rarepairs in this house!

I also really like Flynn x Navarre too and they're my second fave Navarre ship, for much the same reasons!

nOTP: Needless to say, my NOtps would be pairing Navarre with his brother or any of the IVA kids. Eeeugh. Enough said.

random headcanon: It's something I've been wanting to analyze in more depth, and IDK how much of this is actually canon or headcanon considering, but I very much fancy the idea of Navarre always having close connections with the Samurai seniors and keeping close tabs on the Rite and new inductions. He's very astute with the going-ons in Samurai business and likely has been anxiously watching them for quite some time.

unpopular opinion: I understand that Navarre is a very unlikeable character, and he's supposed to be! But it honestly does get really bothersome seeing how much dismissal, if not outright hate, he gets in the fandom. Navarre IS an important character within the early game! It is his very antics that adds the necessary tension and tone needed to carry the early narrative and worldbuilding. It does admittedly make it hard for me to approach other SMTIV fans because I like this bean so much.

But that is okay. I am perfectly content with those who seek out, stick by, and enjoy my bean musings. :)

Hey so this might be a weird ask but this is something that's been plaguing me for a while.

I was wondering if you could give any writing tips for Yeva to me?

I'm currently writing a fic and it's at the prequel phase which obviously means I gotta include Yeva in it, already have, but I'm not really sure how to write her.

I'd also love to go more in depth with her husband and how she interacts with, both pre and post planet explosion.

Sorry if you can't really answer this ask, just figured I'd ask the #1 Yeva fan for ideas about it.

I saw some stuff on that bulletin board I wanted to check out but I just couldn't read it so in a theory video I made I asked if anyone could look at it, obviously with only like 200 views no one did but I'm glad you checked it out. Super intriguing to me and something I def want to expand on in my fic.

Anyways now you gotta keep in mind this what I’ve gathered from Yeva, is a mix of my interpretation of what is shown off her in canon and my HCs

Yeva is also a character that can have many different interpretations which most of them IMO are valid and make sense

Now I assume you want me to help you developing her personality wise, correct?

I think Yeva is definitely someone that is the opposite of Nori, perhaps even a reflection of Nori.

Just like Uzi is a reflection of Doll, I’ve mentioned in one of my posts that each member of the Doorman’s and each member of Doll’s family could actually mirror to eachother!

So i think it’s pretty obvious that Yeva is a rather perhaps, a cold person. Doesn’t express much or isn’t the one to usually smile or be happy go lucky or interact with people all the time, that’s Nori’s thing

Doll could actually show off some characteristics she inherited from her mom apart from the looks and the AS

Probably she is aloof, brooding, speaks very little and only necessarily, her voice rarely showing much emotion. She isn’t the kind to approach or make the first move unless it is absolutely necessary, she is the kind of person to hang out by someone’s side, rather than taking the spotlight.

Of course that doesn’t mean she is devoid of emotion, she is just isn’t a very expressive and open person, normally.

Or maybe she does likes to sometimes show off some skills she has, maybe to make some of her colleagues to back off during her time at the labs/camps used her AS.

Her EP7 teaser appearance tbh screams to me “Idgaf about ur annoying ass” energy, like she will stare at you and judge everything wrong with you, I can see her definitely being snarky when she has too

Of EP4 and EP6 show that she is still able to feel intense emotions and express them even if it isn’t her thing. After all she is going through very traumatic situations in both EPs.

Maybe you could play with then idea of her showing different sides of her depending on who she interacts. Maybe she more emotional and slightly more open towards her husband and doll, and with nori (pre-core collapse) she is a bit more reserved but still somewhat sassy and snarky, like in a bestie way.

Now some people see her basically as an anxious wet cat and a bit paranoid. Which I can also see that, mostly due to the AS and after witnessing the horrors after the core collapse, I personally think she is aware on how dangerous the AS is, mostly by possibility witnessing Nori’s possession and she herself getting momentarily possessed causing the site-48 incident

She is clearly a traumatized woman who knows how badly the AS can be, and has probably developed certain coping mechanisms like other characters, maybe some of her stand-off-ish characteristics are a way for her to “shield” herself or to not feel so much pain.

She may be someone who is stuck in the past, or is having a hard time to moving on, which tbh I cannot blame her. This is mostly an inference from the fact she kept the exact same outfit she had at CFL, unlike Nori possibly.

I can also see her having a progressive change of character/personality the more shit she has to deal with, going from a cold, snarky, resting bitch face girlboss to an anxious, traumatized, low socializing woman.

Or again, these are different sides she shows in different moments or characters, maybe she sometimes “cracks” and shows how truly she subconsciously feels sometimes.

Its also worth mentioning that my theory, her dying outside possibly looking for answers or a cure for the AS or something that could stop the AS’s plans by going back to the labs truly shows she was willing to take the risk of death for the sake of her family and maybe the other WD’s.

I feel like she wanted to give Doll everything that she never had, giving her the best life, she could also be a sort of slightly reserved mom but like still cares for her kid.

I can also see her teaching her early on how to handle herself on her own and survive. Definitely see her as someone who taught Doll to keep herself as 1st priority.

crowflight au (even though it's more feathertail based)(everyone lives au lol): feathertail and stormfur are able to kill sharptooth without either of them dying(idk how). feathertail and crowpaw are able to go back to the clans. crowflight goes back to windclan and is named "crowflight" for the journey he traveled...feathertail comes back to riverclan and she is pregnant. when they travel on the journey they stop in the tribe of rushing water where feathertail has two or three kits :-) stormfur decides to stay in the tribe with brook and feathertail is happy he found a place for himself, and feathertail has her kits now and she will miss her brother but she knows riverclan is where she's meant to be.. in this au leafpool and crowflight still become involved(which might have driven feathertail to cat-divorce crowflight because she is so upset heartbroken understandably(she still loves him)... crowflight later goes to nightcloud too so the three and breezepelt are all born...) idk it makes me sad that feathertail didn't get to have a full life i've always been sad about that but i know it's supposed to be sad

nightleaf au (nightcloud leafpool lesbians): nightcloud has always been upset with thunderclan and she hated leafpool when she met her when the badgers attacked thunderclan... she hates thunderclan's whole "main character" trope and of course she is mad at leafpool over crowfeather. many moons later when it's revealed about hollyleaf jayfeather lionblaze, nightcloud is shocked and furious but finds herself blaming crowfeather because he did the same thing to her in abandoning them while they had kits.. nightcloud's heart aches for leafpool and she doesn't like that it makes her uncomfortable that she feels for her despite everything..nightcloud and leafpool talk one night after a gathering has disbanded and nightcloud almost tries to start a fight with leafpool but leafpool is patient and kind and nightcloud breaks she just cries like "how can you be so kind to me? i've only ever been horrible to you. why won't you be mad at me?" and she's snarling in self disgust that she's been so rude to her all their lives because she wanted crowfeather but she realizes now that crowfeather isn't exactly a catch lol. leafpool looks at her softly with a smile "kindness is my nature i won't apologize for that." and nightcloud chokes like "i dont want you to apologize but i dont understand how you can be so forgiving when this world has treated you so horribly...you should be mad life isn't fair and you had to give your kits away. you only wanted to have a family it's not wrong.. you should be mad at me for being a part of ruining your life." and nightcloud is shaking and leafpool blinks like "nightcloud, i could never be upset with you. i hold too much respect for you, and i understand how i must seem to you... taking away your life with crowfeather-" "he's nothing to me. i only respect him as a warrior and deputy...i lost love when he failed in helping to raise breezepelt." and leafpool sits next to nightcloud and wraps her tail around her and nightcloud chokes on her sobs surprised and leafpools like "you only wanted to love crowfeather and have a family. we really are more similar than you might realize. i want you to know, nightcloud, that i could never be upset with you. i understand." and they become besties after that nightcloud defending leafpool from critical cats and trying to get leafpool to understand that she has a voice too...she can fight back... IDK I JUST KEPT WRITING BUT I WANT TO MAKE A COMIC :-)

my favorite pairings idgaf leafpool/mothwing, leafpool/nightcloud, hollyleaf/cinderheart, dovewing/idk dovewing should have a girlfriend i think, sunbeam/lightleap, feathertail/IDK SHE SHOULD HAVE A GIRLFRIEND I THINK, squirrelflight needs a girlfriend. Asap. daisy.....? bristlefrost/rootspring(rootspring is bristlefrost's girlfriend) im absolutely positive im missing a ton of cats i like together.. this is leafpool's world we're just living in it

Each to their own! I see why you say that, he probably looks more like a child to me because of his height and more 'child-like' features? Eh that's the best way i can describe it, although i am aware that he is of age. As long as boundaries are respected, I'm okay! but i will still give side eye towards people who ship frank and Julie... that ship mainly because- 1 frank is married, 2 they are friends- like no (not going to go out of my way to attack people who ship them i just find it icky and avoid that ship)

For me, I loved how unique frank's design was, same for howdy and i love eddie and juile for their personalities! (I also like franny's design a lot! Anyone else? Just me?)

I have never encountered a frank/julie ship art so far, thankfully! sure people can draw whatever they want but I feel like it's an erasure of their identities? mostly because I see it through my "two puppets who are undeniably queer pushed into a cisheteronormavity situation by their caretaker figures" lenses. if anything I personally see frank and julie as platonic soulmates, two people who are closer than friends but not lovers. they love each other dearly! they're paired together! the two stooges! romantic love isn't the only type of love and frank and julie's interactions definitely show it

as for why those two are my faves! I love eddie because well, I like big hunky guys who can get silly. it's my track record. I also see the potential for his character to be a complex one like wally. even though nobody made fun of him directly, it's kind of sad to see his forgetfulness and struggles get brushed off by most of the cast. though he doesn't seem to mind it either. eddie seems to be written as the comic relief in the show, but in the "answer" pages his voice has more integrity into it. NOW I MIGHT BE STRETCHING JUUUUST A BIT but I hope there's gonna be a conflict between these two parts of him. one that acts as the comic relief who acts like he's not bothered and one that wants to be taken seriously for once. I love drama. I love character realizations. I also have a slight fear that he's gonna be a cannon fodder uhuhuhuuuuu

I love howdy because something about him hits differently compared to the rest of the cast. his freedom symbolism (adult caterpillar, the only one in his family who didn't turn into a butterfly). the way he has an "idgaf I have a job" attitude. his voice is also great and I love it. I hope he gets meaner (the same goes for sally) because I think it's gonna be a great plot stirrer. despite his slyness and emotional intelligence he looks like he'll be master contrarian in a group. he knows his way with words, he knows how to get the reaction he wanted out of people, I love him.

I think frank wouldn't be able to choose exactly which one is his favorite!!! he loves butterflies!!! there's just so many of them to choose from!! monarch butterflies are the most popular and iconic type, I reckon he has it in his collection.... he'd love swallowtail butterflies, those are pretty little creatures, and I think he'd love janetta forester and pieridae too!

underutilized sorry. sooo much more could’ve been said could have been done et cetera. the ramifications of the divine luck are underused his coming back in sdra2 was underused etc etc. there’s sooo much that could be said with him and it’s so easy to do it is the smallest fucking reach and linuj is like. this is utsuro he is like kamakura but with divine luck :). and everyone was like omg so true!! and he’s reduced down and isn’t handled with actual depth. like. there’s Reasons for why he is the way he is. aaa!

- The one thing i’d want to make canon about them

system. for utsuro specifically i think he struggles a lot with detachment and has frequent dissociative episodes. he’s not quite prone to third person/out of body episodes but i think he struggles with orienting himself in the world (spatial awareness) and staying aware of his surroundings.

cute! sometimes it looks a bit off to me but i think that’s just a matter of hues/undertones. i reaaaally like his color palette in sdra2, it hits right there. i’ll always think the color choices of the uniform were a bit silly but ultimately it looks cute!! in dra it’s just a weird mix of warm hues vs gray undertones (this applies to like.. skin and hair not just clothes) but sdra2 looks very nice!!!

They are: - a vegvísir and the date I was told I was cancer free (09.02.17, I got the tattoo the day after lol, it was my very first!) - coordinates - a quote from an anime (which is and always has been a very cringe anime but idgaf it brought me joy at the time and I don't fuck with regrets so. Yeah I have a Voltron tattoo that says 'go, be great'). no regrets - "þetta reddast", an Icelandic phrase which means 'things will work out' which sounds great and happy but is also used in like a fake-positivity, dismissive way. I'm not the best with my own emotions sometimes and I felt like it was funny and fitting bc I expect positivity of myself Always (I'm in therapy now lmao) and that ain't realistic - "ævintýri", the Icelandic word for 'adventure' bc that's what my life is all about &lt;3 - a sun, because in the past few years several people have told me I'm "bright like the sun", "the human embodiment of sunshine", etc. and that's the nicest compliment I've ever gotten. I want to keep that with me always :') - a plane, a (semi) matching tattoo I got with a girl in a hostel I met for one (1) day. I held the door for her and we started talking. It was her first time in Ireland so I bought her a Guinness and taught her the word 'sláinte' - we decided we'd get tattoos to commemorate our meeting and carry a wee bit of one another with us :) she got sláinte tattooed but if I got that I'd get beat up bc I'm from the North so she got sláinte and I got a plane (which she had suggested). Everytime I look at that tattoo I think about her and how grateful I am we met, even just for a day.

what are your favourite things about arya that draw u to her character. also im wondering if u think arya might lead the brotherhood in some capacity (ik shes gonna be like 12 but idgaf) and what characters are gonna be important in her endgame (tdos) outside of the usual cast

this is a lot to unpack but lets go! first things first: arya’s intensity and depth of feeling is what drew me to her. her love and her anger are so sincere and so powerful. her emotions are a crucial aspect of her arc too. it’s not just relevant to her characterization but her actual plot. she is currently in a place that would have her suppress her “loves and hates” but they’re so strong she will never be able to do it. with arya we have a vulnerable little girl and a fierce direwolf existing in one package. that dichotomy is one of my favorite things about her. she's generous and protective and loving. she's fierce and audacious and cunning. she's scared and insecure and ashamed. you get it all with arya! and the elements of her arc like her association: nature, family, war, ect are really appealing to me. her storyline is dynamic and exciting. anytime, i’m reading an arya chapter i’m having a great time. i could go on forever but you gave me other things to address lol. 

as far as (unexpected?) characters who will be important to her endgame, specifically? thats a difficult bit of speculation for me. i’m really not thinking about ados that much yet. im like hyper fixated on the braavos plot mostly.......but to hit the brotherhood part of your ask real quick: YES! we already saw arya, at 10, lead the brotherhood at the stoney sept and on a mission of mercy no less. like that was arya! theres nymeria uniting all the wolves of the riverlands into a single pack she leads too. the foreshadowing is not subtle. arya should be the one to take over leading the bwb and restore them to their true purpose ned gave them.

ok so the past couple months, i’ve reread mercy a crazy number of times. i’m a lil obsessed. it’s a chapter with a lot going on and i think its is going to launch arya into an entirely new phase in her arc. but yeah, one of the main things it reinforces is that because of her trauma killing has become easy for arya. look, personally? am i clutching my pearls over her killing raff? no. but grrm is going to want to check her on it. trust me. i think that’s where lady stoneheart could come in. that is a killing that would not be so easy.

arya is very traumatized and there’s no erase button for that. she knows what its like to be a prisoner, to be in battle, to witness torture, to starve, to be enslaved, to take a life - and those will always influence her decisions in a lot of ways but not exclusively in bad ways. arya’s experiences are not associated, generally, with leadership potential, but they should be. leaders should understand the costs of war and few know that as well as arya. she is an extremely resilient character. she finds a lot of her strength in her pack. no matter what she has gone thru arya always makes friends and values those social connections. i do think that sense of community will be her salvation. (which is why the show ending and a certain degree of fandom support for said ending are so horrendous)

pivoting back to arya and lady stoneheart to say that i agree with you. i feel like meeting lsh......will help arya more then it hurts her? and it will hurt a lot, but arya is already mourning her mother and catelyn is dead! i cannot stress that enough. lady stoneheart =/= catelyn. grrm has explicitly said this. she is a remnant of catelyn's darkest feelings in a reanimated corpse. literally. but she can still provide arya with the closure that she needs. if arya doesnt meet lsh and continues to think catelyn wouldnt of wanted her back......to me thats bleaker than arya giving her mercy. it's not going to destroy arya or send her into that place she was in post trw. lady stoneheart is a soul in torment and she is searching for arya. they need each other. arya did not spend all that time in hob&w learning that death can be peaceful and gentle for no reason either, ya know? it comes for everyone. thats a part of life. thats a part of growing up. (its a part of stories too!) in the end, arya will probably have the greatest understanding of life and death in the entire series and that is invaluable.

Okay! So my personal Top 3 JJK characters are:

1. Yuuji Itadori

The day I stop hyping Yuuji is the day I have been replaced. There is just something about Yuuji Itadori that makes my heart ache man. He is kind but not a push over, empathetic but knows when not to let his emotions get a hold on him, super strong but wears his heart on his sleeves. He is also extremely broken but keeps moving for the sake of his purpose, he lost so much but still fights. Idk man I just love this boy so much, I hope he gets a happy end.

2. Geto Suguru

Lol is anyone surprised, yeah me neither. Geto Suguru is and has always been the most compelling jjk character to me. Not only because of his charming personality and empathetic nature but the way his whole backstory is just a tragedy. Geto Suguru might be the prime example of what will happen if you push a good guy too far. But unlike typical main villain, Geto is wayyyyy interesting in the way he treats the ppl around him. He is smart, charismatic, a lil batshit crazy (jjk0) but he is also funny, kind and protective of the ppl he loves. Man, I miss him so much now.

3. Ryomen Sukuna

If you had asked me this question like a year earlier I would have answered Megumi or Maki, but Ryomen Sukuna has moved me since ch 212 dropped. King of curses, disaster curse, evil incarnated, there is something about him that usually Shonen villains don’t have; his idgaf personality. He is literally evil because he is bored, works for no one, literally has no purpose whatsoever but just indulges in violence and destruction because he can. Also the way he treats his opponents (Jogo, Gojo, Kashimo) after he wins is truly fascinating to me because he doesn’t rub it in that he won, instead he appreciates his opponents for holding their own in the battlefield. Also kinda personal but I literally dreamt of this guy killing my entire family in my sleep, like he moved me so much that I am having literal nightmares about him.

Also for the top 5 fave moments from the series; any Yuuji fight is my top favourite moment. Yuuji VS Mahito gonna be generational. 🫰🏽🫰🏽🫰🏽✨✨✨✨
