THG Thomastair AU
Tumblr media
“I wish we could find sanctuary,” Thomas said. “You know, with shelter and such.”
“But Thomas,” Alastair said, “you are my sanctuary.”
TW/CW: If you're reading this, you've probably read The Hunger Games books or watched the movies so this has the same stuff as in them!
Idea // OG post // Ask
Disclaimers: This has headcanons along with snippets. Hopefully it's not OOC. Any Persian is what my Iranian friend told me. I like to headcanon that all the districts have their own language. Warning: The plot might be non-existent. Also, if you see any kind of mistakes (grammar, spelling, etc.) please let me know! Kinda long :)
Thomas is from District 7
Alastair is from District 11
The president is Josiah Wayland
The Head Gamemaker is Maurice Bridgestock
Eugenia is part of a group to overthrow the Capitol
Barbara and Oliver died in a previous Hunger Games
It was like it was in the books
Alastair used to be in a relationship with Charles Fairchild, son of the mayor of District 11, Charlotte Fairchild
Risa is Sona’s sister so Alastair’s aunt
Alastair volunteers for Cordelia
Cordelia struggles with him and finally says in “I love you” in Persian (dooset daram) before Alastair goes on the train
Cordelia is like Prim
Alastair’s mentor is Ragnor Fell
They be sassy together
Thomas’s mentor is Charlotte
Alastair’s stylist tells him Alastair should dye his hair back to black
In the opening ceremony, Thomas dresses as a tree and Alastair thinks how Thomas makes “a boring costume look beautiful”
Alastair has a suit on with leaves embroidered on it which Thomas later tells him “it was like nature blessed you”
Jem may or may not be an Avox Jem is Alastair’s Avox
Thomas Tanner is Thomas’s Avox
For training Alastair throws spears and pulls a 8
Thomas uses a broadsword in training and pulls an 8 as well
Thomas gets a compass rose tattoo from his stylist for the interview
The arena has a structure that looks like the Eiffel Tower at one end
The arena is covered in forests, except for the Cornucopia
When the canon sounds, Alastair runs toward the Cornucopia and escapes with a dagger to the forest
Thomas runs straight (ha!) into the forest
9 children die in the initial bloodbath
Alastair and Thomas both spend the night in trees about ten minutes away from each other
In the morning, Alastair hears rustling and eventually confronts Thomas
They first try to kill each other, but then they hear someone else and work together to fight the District 9 male tribute
Alastair puts his dagger at the tribute’s throat and stabs him there
Alastair doesn’t want to partner up and vice versa
“Alastair—I think you’d be a great person to team up with, but I . . . I don’t want to team up with you. I don’t want to team up with anyone. We—we might survive till the end, and then—” “No, Thomas, I understand. We’ll pretend this never happened. We’ll go our separate ways.” Thomas nodded, a sinking feeling in his stomach. Part of him had been hoping Alastair would disagree with him, even when it was reasonable. He ignored it and set about laying the food they’d gathered.
But they gather food and decide they’ll have a meal together and then go their separate ways
They make a meal of some fruits they find on trees and on the ground
Thomas just cannot eat the celery
They part ways
By the second night, fourteen people in total are dead
Thomas goes to the Eiffel Tower structure the next day
He climbs onto the first level and greets Alastair
Alastair’s leg is wounded
Alastair explains that the Careers fought him
The Careers include Augustus Pounceby and Clive Cartwright
“Tell me. Tell me who hurt you. I’ll kill them.” Alastair had never seen anyone so angry on his behalf that it unnerved him. “It doesn’t matter, it was the Capitol—” “Don’t,” Thomas said quietly. “Don’t try to downplay it. I want to make them pay.” Alastair paused. After a minute he said, “It was the Careers. The District 1 and 2 tribute. Augustus and Clive. They climbed onto here and started fighting me. I gave Augustus a good cut on the arm and Clive a nice scar on his cheek but they overpowered me. Augustus stabbed my leg. They left laughing.” “They didn’t finish you off?” Alastair shook his head. “I think they . . . wanted me to suffer. It isn’t like I can go anywhere, and I have no allies, so probably wanted to come back tomorrow and then finish me off. But it’s not like I’m going to last that long.” The last sentence caught Thomas off guard. “What?” “Aren’t you going to kill me?” Thomas thought about the District 1 tribute, Augustus, who had been saying that Barbara was weak before the Opening Ceremony. That Barbara, who had gotten him out of a scuffle with a Peacekeeper, was weak. That Barbara, who had volunteered for her cousin in the Reaping, was weak. He thought about the hate he had felt for the Career. Then he thought about graceful, elegant, bleeding Alastair in front of him, the way he had hugged his sister, the way he guarded himself, and decided. “No,” he said. “I’m not going to kill you.”
Thomas bandages Alastair’s wound
“Alastair, you’re hurt. Please let me wrap your leg in leaves and vines.” “Thomas, you don’t understand. I’ve always bandaged my own wounds. It’s not going to change now.” “Sometimes,” Thomas said, “it’s better to let others take care of you. They do a better job than you realize. Alastair, please. You’re bleeding. Let me help.” Alastair saw something in Thomas’s eyes: truth. He thought back to how many people would want to help him: his father, his mother, his aunt Risa . . . when he was young. As he grew up, all of them faced the same cruel system and all of them were expected to take care of their own wounds. Now, here was someone willing to help him when he should be killing him. It gave Alastair such a feeling of care and belonging that he nodded. It wouldn’t hurt to let someone take care of him for once.
They eventually decide to team up
Thomas makes a meal out of things he finds in the forest
He and Alastair eat it
Alastair heals from his wound
By that night, nineteen people are dead
Augustus, Clive, and the District 8 female tribute are still alive along with them
Alastair takes first watch during the night, Thomas takes the second
Alastair gently moved his fingers across the compass rose tattoo that Thomas had gotten from his stylist. He felt Thomas’s pulse. He promised himself that that pulse would go on even when his own didn’t.
The next day Alastair and Thomas set off (Alastair’s leg is healed)
Augustus and Clive are waiting for them
Thomas kills Augustus, attacking with A LOT of force
Clive gets a good hit on Thomas with a sword on his left arm
Alastair and Clive fight, Clive flees finally while he’s bleeding from a dozen cuts
Alastair bandages Thomas’s wound with leaves and vines
“I love it when you say my name. Say it again.” “Thomas—Thomas, you’ve lost too much blood. You’re going delirious.” Thomas sighed softly. “I would go delirious if that meant I could hear you say my name one more time.”
They get a sponsor gift: a whole meal of steak and sides, which they finish that day
When Alastair bites into an apple, Thomas wants to kiss him
Both of them fall asleep at night
When they wake up, they’re in a prison; a Capitol prison
They were in prison. But even if they were in hell, Alastair wouldn’t have minded. They were together.
They lie in each other’s arms, seeking warmth
“Why are we in prison? What did we do?” Alastair demanded, getting up as Josiah Wayland stuck his ugly face in front of the bars. President Wayland’s lip curled. “It isn’t you that did something, it’s your family.” Thomas gasped sharply. “Eugenia.” The president smiled cruelly. “So you do know her crime.” Thomas swallowed. Alastair put his hand in Thomas’s. “What did my family do?” Alastair asked, trying to change the topic. “Why, your sister did the same thing,” Josiah Wayland said. This time Alastair gave a sharp gasp. Thomas squeezed his hand, and Alastair drew a bit of comfort from him. But his mind was on Cordelia, his little sister, what would happen to her— Wayland, the monster he was, smiled wider as he saw Alastair and Thomas despairing their sisters’ fate.
Cordelia joined the same rebel group Eugenia was in
“But why are we here? What did they do that you had to take us out of the Games?” Thomas demanded when he had finally calmed down. It seemed that all the Lightwood siblings would all die in their youth. “As soon as they are in our custody, they will be executed. In front of you two. Everyone thinks the two of you killed each other. After they’re dead, both of you will be executed.” Thomas swallowed. “Why? Why will you execute us?” “Your sisters should have thought about your safety before they did what they did. At least you’ll be able to tell them goodbye. If the executioners give you the chance,” President Wayland added before he gave another cruel smile and left.
Thomas and Alastair despair over their and their sisters’ fates
“We’ll fight them. I don’t care. We’ll fight the Capitol. We’ll make them pay for what they did to Barbara and Oliver and Jem and Will and Tessa and my mom and every single person they hurt. We’ll make them pay, Alastair.”
Thomas sighed. “If only we had hope.” “I don’t think about hope, Thomas. I think about you. You’re my hope.” And now I’m going to lose you, Alastair wanted to add, but he didn’t. And then I won’t have any hope left.
“The odds were never in our favour, Thomas,” Alastair whispered, closing his eyes. Then he added softly, “And they never will be.”
Letter addressed to Alastair Carstairs, District 11 male tribute of the 56th Hunger Games, from Charles Fairchild, son of the mayor of District 11, found crumpled in a trash bin of the Training Center floor 11

Draco Bullying Muggle Born!Reader Headcanon
TW/CW: Draco bullies Muggle Born!Reader. Mudblood is dropped several times. Other than that it’s just general bullying. With a touch of angst at the end, I guess.
Requested?: Yes, by the lovely @strawberryshortcake1 [It won't let me tag you properly :( ] , who said, “Hi I was wondering if you would do a headconon where tje reader is muggle born and draco bullying her if its okay wit u also u r amazing have a good day 🧡” I’m so sorry it took me so long to write this for you!
A/N: I decided to start my return to writing with a couple of headcanons to kind of ease into it lol. I hope this is alright, I struggled to not turn it into a whole full-fledged imagine lol. If anyone wants, I could probably turn it into one, just lmk. Also, I tried to not make it bully/bullied to lovers lol but that can be done in the imagine if I write it, idk. Anyway, I hope you enjoy the read. As always, love to all!
Tumblr media
- I can see the Malfoy’s just strutting by you and your parents in King’s Cross Station outside Platform 9 ¾ at the start of the first year. Draco takes immediate notice of how confused and nervous you all look and shoots you a nasty little gremlin glare as he and his parents simply walk straight up to the brick wall and straight through.
- You being oblivious to the glare, get super excited and suggest to your parents that you all try the same thing. So, confidently, you walk right up to the brick wall and just as you expect to hit the solid, rough object, you don’t and instead step out onto another train platform. You can spot the blonde boy and his parents off in the distance. Unfortunately, Your parents didn’t quite understand the task and couldn’t get through so you’re left to find a seat on the train and deal with your luggage on your own.
- Sitting quietly in a train compartment by yourself with your pet of choice sat upon your lap, you await the start of the journey. Soon, the silence is interrupted by the blonde boy from earlier who makes a great show of leaning against the open compartment doorway and staring at you with an evil grin plastered upon his face.
- You open your mouth to thank him for showing you the way onto the platform but he interrupts you, “You’re a mudblood aren’t you?”
- “I’m sorry, a what?” you ask bewildered.
- “Your parents aren’t magical. You’re a mudblood. I suspect you won’t even make it through the first year without wanting to go home to your muggle mommy and daddy,” he states matter of factly.
- “No, I can-” you start but he interrupts you once again, “Know your place, you filthy mudblood. I’m Draco Malfoy. I’m of pure blood descent which means I outrank you.” With this, he departs the train compartment but his absence is soon filled by a group of three other students.
- As the year progresses, you never mention the interaction with Draco to anyone else in fear of them also being nasty to you because of your parents' lineage. However, you eventually find out that you’re not the only muggle born student and make friends with others like you.
- One day, your house has potions with Slytherin. You avoid all contact with Draco, not even daring to glance his way as he settles into his seat before class starts. Unfortunately, you’re soon called upon to answer a question asked by Professor Snape.
- You stutter out what you hope to be the right answer but to your dismay your answer is incorrect and he deducts 10 points from your house as the Slytherins all laugh.
- As soon as class is dismissed you quickly gather your things and dart out of the classroom in hopes of beating Draco out the door and continuing to avoid him. However, luck is not in your favor today as your run straight into him outside the door where he was awaiting your exit.
- “Watch where you’re going mudblood. Geez, you can’t even walk properly without running into people let alone answer a simple potions question. I don’t know why they ever let you into this school. Father says it’s a disgrace that they let anyone other than pureblood study here,” he spits.
- As you feel your entire face turn red from embarrassment, you try to sidestep him and flee but he blocks you, “What? Going to go home and cry to mommy and daddy already?”
- Thankfully, a girl from Gryffindor speaks up, “Leave her alone Malfoy.”
- “Oh yes, Hermione Granger. I forget you mudbloods like to stick together because you’re too afraid of us purebloods,” he laughs.
- Hermione pulls you away from Draco and offers to escort you to your next class which you have with the Gryffindors in the greenhouses. You gratefully accept her offer and as the two of you head off in that direction, she checks on you, “Are you alright? I know it’s hard but you have to ignore him.”
- You simply nod your head and mutter thanks as you arrive at the door to the greenhouse that you’ll be having Herbology in today. You depart from her and join your classmates as Professor Sprout wanders in and begins the lesson.
- From there on out, things seem to only get worse with Draco no matter how much you try to avoid and ignore him.
- There was one occurrence where he cornered you after Professor Moody changed him into a ferret and Professor McGonagall turned him back. He backed you into a corner of the hallway and glared down at you, “Think you can laugh at me mud blood? I can’t believe you have the audacity to disrespect me like that. You’ll be sorry.” Just in time McGonagall enters the hallway and shoos him away.
- Then, one day in your sixth year, you are wandering around the corridors during your free time before dinner. You hear sniffling coming from a dark corner of this deserted corridor so you decide against your better judgment to check on whoever it may be. Again, luck has it out for you and the person crying turns out to be Draco.
- When you realize it’s him you try to turn around and leave without being noticed but he calls out to you, “Don’t think you’re better than me, mudblood. I have a lot on my plate that is none of your concern. Don’t you dare speak a word of this to anyone or you’ll pay for it.”
- Assuming he’s done talking to you, you walk away and more so out of respect and less out of fear, you never say a word to anyone about finding Draco crying alone in a dark corner of a random corridor.
- Your next interaction with Draco isn't really much of an interaction at all and is much different from any of the previous ones. During the Battle of Hogwarts as Voldemort beckons him to their side, standing beside him you can see the weight that this decision is placing upon him. Just as you reach your hand out to take his, he steps forward and makes his way over to Voldemort. Your heart aches for the man who has bullied you all these years. You desperately hope that he finds a way to get out of that toxicity and find peace.

Winter Fox Part 1 / 2
Summary: Steve and Bucky discover that they know the Female!Rogers!Reader more than they think.
TW/CW: Bucky Barnes x Female!Rogers!Reader, other than that I don’t think there is any but if you know any I should add, lmk. Set after the snap.  Spoiler Alert: Reader and Bucky end up together in a different part.
Requested?: No
Word Count: 1,396
A/N: Uh I used Google Translate for the Russian so I apologize if it’s incorrect. I didn't get very far in learning Russian and it was a while ago when I was learning it. I had to split it into multiple parts bc I was afraid it was getting too long but should I just do a second and like time skip to when Reader remembers everything and she and Bucky are together or would you guys prefer that I make a series of it and show her regaining her memories? Spoiler Alert: Reader and Bucky end up together. Anyway, I hope you enjoy! Requests are Open!
Tumblr media
Your POV
They call me the Winter Fox. Often times, if it weren’t for me, the Winter Soldiers wouldn’t have been able to complete the missions they were sent on. My missions were generally the same, get intel of a subject and give it to Hydra so that they can figure out how to send a Winter Soldier after them. That was until they tried to start sending me on missions with the Winter Soldier, the first of his kind. These missions were always a power struggle and they ended up having to add who was in charge to our mission commands otherwise we would get into arguments and almost compromise the mission.
When the Winter Soldier escaped and Hydra supposedly fell, another head of course took its place. I was taken from the storage facility in Siberia, where I was being kept with the other Winter Soldiers. They didn’t need the others if they had me. I could out match all of them put together. Even still, I was kept in cryofreeze until Hydra saw fit to raise their head again.
It wasn’t until three years after the lost half of the world’s population returned from The Snap that Hydra decided The Avengers had gotten too comfortable and wanted to shake things up again. Of course, most of them had been wiped out in the snap and brought back. I wasn’t though. I still remained in cryofreeze. Once, they brought me out again, they prepped me and immediately sent me after Steve Rogers, which I suppose I should be thankful for.
I failed to complete the mission the first time and the Winter Soldier, well I suppose he prefers his real name now, recognized me. I don’t actually know his real name, or maybe I do and don’t remember it. It’s on the tip of my tongue but I can’t figure it out. Anyway, I failed that mission but Hydra sent me right back out after a memory wipe. I failed again and that brings my thoughts to where I am now, good timing too.
A red headed woman enters the room with her head held high, “Privetstvuyu Gidru.” (Hail Hydra).
    Suspicious, I confirm, “Privetstvuyu Gidru.”
Not missing a beat, she commands, “Zimnyaya lisa, dayte otchet o missii.” (Winter Fox, give your report.)
“Po ch'yemu prikazu, neznakomets?” (On who’s orders, Stranger?) I inquire.
“Vasily Karpov. Vash staryy komandir mertv, i teper' ya glavnyy. Ne zastavlyay menya povtoryat'sya,” (Vasily Karpov. Your old commander is dead and I am in charge now. Don’t make me repeat myself,) she says.
Convinced, I give her my mission report of the failed mission I had just been captured on. As I finish, she turns her back and faces the one-way mirror, “So, this one wasn’t only sent for Rogers but for Barnes as well.” The name Barnes catches my attention but I keep my gaze lowered and ignore it. I haven’t been spoken to therefore it’s none of my business. After a brief moment, she turns back to me, “Chto eto u tebya na sheye?” (What is that around your neck?) I pull the dog tags out from under my shirt. I had long since forgotten about them but never took them off, I was ordered to keep them on. “Kto oni takiye? Chitat' ikh,” (Who’s are they? Read them) she commands.
“James B Barnes,” I pause. There’s that name again, “32557038 T41 42 0. R. Barnes. 3092 Stockton Rd. Shelbyville, IN.” The look of shock on her face is unmistakable. She turns to the window again.
Bucky’s POV
Everyone in the room has their eyes on me now. Those are my dog tags. Why does the Winter Fox have my dog tags? Tony goes to say something but is interrupted by F.R.I.D.A.Y, “Mr. Stark the results are back from the DNA test.”
“Okay, let’s hear it then,” says Stark.
“Captain Rogers, Sargeant Barnes, you may want to take a seat for this,” F.R.I.D.A.Y cautions.
“Just get on with it, please,” Steve insists.
“The DNA matches that of one (Y/N) Rogers. Born (Your Birthday), 1916.”
“That can’t be. She disappeared back in the 30s,” Steve says in surprise.
“The DNA test isn’t gonna lie, Rogers. That’s why we did it in the first place,” Stark informs gently.
“But she disappeared 90 years ago,” Steve says, not wanting to accept that his older sister is now sitting on the other side of the glass.
“You’re right. She disappeared but that doesn’t mean she died, Steve,” I say, finally finding my voice again.
Your POV
I wait patiently as the woman seems to be listening to something, probably an earpiece. Suddenly, everything goes black. A blue theater screen lights up, bathing the darkness in a soft glow. Then, a movie starts to play on it. I watch as a young girl and two young boys play tag on a street corner. Somehow, I recognize the girl as myself. I watch as a woman calls the three children into the house.
The scene shifts and the three children are now nearly adults wandering down a long sidewalk. On the girl’s right, well my right, the tallest of the two men nudges my arm, “Ya know, doll, maybe you guys should at least come over for dinner tonight. Wouldn’t want you two to starve.”
I glance over at the shorter man beside me and he shakes his head as expected. “Thank you for the offer, James, but I think we’ll be alright. Besides, Stevie doesn’t seem to want to be around anyone right now,” I whisper this last part. So that’s their names, Stevie and James? Wait James as in, I, well the me that’s watching the movie, look down at the dog tags hanging around my neck. Surely this isn’t the same James, that’s such a common name.
I look back to the screen and now the movie me is standing on a porch with Stevie and James. I step aside as James steps forward and hands Stevie a key, “The thing is, you don’t have to. I’m with you till the end of the line, pal.” Stevie turns and unlocks the door before going inside. With this, James turns to me, “Take care of yourself, and him. You know where to find us if you need anything.” With this, he kisses my forehead before walking away.
Everything goes black again and I open my eyes. Now, there are several other people in the room with me. I look around and to my surprise, I see Stevie and James in the room as well, except James is also the Winter Soldier and Stevie has gotten a lot taller. Confusion courses through my mind as Stevie steps forward, “(Y/N), I’m Steve. Do you by any chance remember me?”
I look to James and back before nodding, “You’re my little brother and that’s James. He was our best friend when we were growing up.” My head hurts after remembering all this information. Oddly, that’s the last thing I remember until being assigned the mission I failed for the second time today. My mission, I was sent to kill my brother and his best friend, who I now know is the Winter Soldier.
“You’re safe here. Hydra can’t get to you here,” Steve says, “do you want to go lie down somewhere?”
Before I can answer, James speaks up, “Don’t tell her that, Steve. We don’t know that they won’t come for her or that someone else won’t for that matter.”
“Bucky, I’m trying to not scare her,” Steve scolds.
“He’s right. I’m their last weapon. They’ll come for me,” I mumble.
At this, Steve turns to a teenage girl in the corner, “Shuri, can you get the trigger words out of her mind like you did Bucky’s?” The girl nods. Steve turns back to me, “She can make it so that they can’t trigger you anymore. She did it for Bucky too.”
I look over to James. Steve always called him Bucky but I liked James better. He looks at me for a moment, “She can. You don’t have to do their bidding anymore, doll.” Doll, he always called me that. Rarely did I ever hear him call me by my name.
I return my attention to Steve, “Okay, let’s do it. The sooner the better, less likely that they get to me before she does it.”
