yandere tears is most definitely on the table <33 I've got the start of a yan!self-aware!Tears too, which I'll be working on when I can think of a way to make it more unique to the others (I'm thinking full giffany rn) I'll work on a formal set of hc's for him soon as well, but for now I've got a little drabble of him <3

He sounds so choked up at the idea of me leaving, crying harder than I’ve ever seen him cry before and using my shoulder as the place to wipe them away. It’s heartbreaking, but he knew from day one that I would have to leave at some point I never hid that from him. I just never thought he’d get so attached. 

“I need too, I have so much back home and hyrule really isn’t safe for me - what are you-”

“No, no, no, no you can’t leave, you can’t, [name], [name] please, you, what if you forget me, or get hurt, or…no, no please you can’t leave, you can’t leave me.”

The familiar glow of his arm, granted it still looks different to how it did in game, and the tug on my shirt tells me what he’s doing in his desperation. Fusing us together in a last-ditch attempt to keep me from leaving, not that I could leave his side after everything; he wasn’t even patient enough to wait for an explanation. 

“Lilac, I’m eager to leave hyrule, not you.”

“But, but you’re still trying to leave, you, [name] I will do anything, anything to stay by your side, no matter what, how many rupees I have to pay, how much blood you would have me spill in your name.”

“Link, my little sherbert, you aren’t listening to me.” That made him pause, the tears are still flowing but now he’s looking at me rather than rambling on about worries he doesn’t need to stress over. 

“I’m leaving hyrule link, not you, never you. I was planning to ask if you would come with me, but I think I know your answer now.” “Well, you’re stuck with me either way now.”

“That’d be a better pun if you weren’t laughing through tears telling it.”

“What can I say, I’m living up to my name… and you love me for it anyway.”

Before Belial married Lilith, he had a child with Naamah. They created the first vampire together. I've been super sick and busy, so I haven't been able to do much in terms of art. So I was writing a dream sequence, and I wrote a line for Knives. Then I was suddenly struck with a horrible suspicion and went to the right issue of TriMax to check if I was remembering right.

I was. So now you all get to know it too. It regards Tesla, so you know it'll be a fun one.

Here it is: The scientists didn't intend to harm Tesla.

This absolutely doesn't absolve them of culpability in her fate, to be clear. It was a horrible thing they did to her, and she continues to be an open wound in any version of Trigun that has her in it. She couldn't consent to any medical procedure, she was a child - and it also makes Knives in Maximum strapping Vash down in July to measure his Gate against his will extra specially hypocritical. (My man's always trying to outdo himself on that front.)

But they didn't mean to hurt her; they didn't vivisect her in the process of examination. They only scanned her to examine her, that was all. They did it a lot, and the equipment was very crude - unlikely to have been designed for the purpose they used it for. I imagine her rapid rate of growth and maturation exacerbated the issue. But they did have concern for her life. She seemed fine, at first.

It was just that they were so excited by this discovery they forgot that damage can be cumulative: because she was scanned so many times and the equipment wasn't built for the job, she developed multiple tumours - as well as, judging by the symptoms, radiation sickness. They began to operate, trying to save her. They failed.

Project is closed.

She was in pieces because... well, she'd ceased regenerating. They couldn't put Humpty Dumpty together again. Again, this was a cruel and terrible thing. I bring it up mostly because it has an interesting implication/resonance regarding Knives in Stampede. (Apart from that I very much doubt we've seen the whole of that story just yet.)

Knives tells Vash that he's sick, and he'll cure him. I have to wonder if the scientists told Tesla something similar. Because after he says that, Knives starts cutting into Vash, pulling out the stuff he thinks is "bad", and ultimately leaves his brother a silently floating husk that's... technically alive.

But he has no intention of harming Vash. No, sir.

And he's done it again, folks. The gold medal in the Hypocrisy Olympics goes to: Millions Knives!

I know that we've agreed collectively, as a fandom, that Hozier and Queen are our "Ineffable Breakup" soundtracks just as much as they are Crowley's... BUT

Just imagine Mr. Anthony J. "Despite everything, an optimist" Crowley on one of his more sentimental days, when he knows he won't have to go check in on Muriel for a while.

Finds a bunch of HIM CDs in a box in his old apartment. Shax had neglected to clear out one of the old cupboards that "Crowley never paid any special attention to. Only his plants."

Some young lady told him about this band in the late 90's but it was still too soon after Freddie passed for Crowley to be interested in taking up new genres. Style is one thing, but music...

He snorts, second bottle and two albums in.

Why, indeed? He'd known the words hadn't needed to be said. Thought Aziraphale understood him in a way neither She nor Hell ever could.

He pours another glass. Pulls out the rest of the CDs.

For context. To grossly oversimplify, if you've never heard a HIM song. They're a metal band with a whole carrier of love songs. I'm talking Romeo and Juliette levels of "Undying, unexplainable, Ineffable(if you will)" love songs.

I've been doing a bit if a binge lately and it occurred to me that there's NO WAY Crowley has never heard of them. They were pretty huge in Europe in the early 2000s. I imagine Crowley would have brushed them off as "Too tragic for his liking." originally. Bought the CDs out of curiosity over the years, but never actually got around to listening to them.

How much property damage has everyone done?

Hmm

Well Freddy has done the least that's for sure. He did a fair bit in his first few years just like Monty but as newbies in a brand new building that's to be expected. Of course in his initial time he also had to learn some rules the hard way even if they're hardwired into his brain so yeah he's done a bit.

Sunny hasn't done a great deal of it either and any that he does cause is cleaned up fairly quick. If it can't be fixed, it's either hidden, or balanced in such a way that it looks fine until someone nudges it or a breeze hits it or something. Honestly, being dropped into the daycare role has gotta be frustrating so if he's ever intentionally broken shit thats probably when it was done.

Moon has done a fair amount. Again though, it was mostly after they were moved from the theatre to the daycare. He misses when they could play with the kids and not just be there to help them sleep, and believe it or not, he misses the kids booing loudly when he came on stage as the villain. Their patience is only so good, its fair enough that a few staffbots have met their demise to them. Never in front of the kids though.

Like Freddy, Bonnie's only really caused property damage in his first year or so of being introduced. He's very rarely a culprit of it and when he is, it's mostly intentional sabotage of some gadget or another. He's less of a breaker and more of a 'cause an inconvenience' kind of property damage guy. He feels it makes more of a statement.

Foxy is fucking notorious. He would be the reason there's no windows to the outside world in the Plex if he could be. He's the kind of accidental damage in every game he's ever played. It mostly ends in the odd couple of toys and screens being broken from a stray ball or something but if you count him being clutzy and breaking random thingamajigs in his endo as property damage then yeah he's done a hell of a lot lmao

Monty has done a shit load. After the first few years, he started containing that anger and rage to his room for the most part so most property damage is in there. There's so much spare Monty themed shit for his room in storage on standby. The contained nature of it limits it a lot, but god damn has he gotten better at obliterating his room in a matter of seconds.

DJ has done... a bit. Mostly in his first few years as well with knocked over arcade cabinets and broken cleaning supplies (given he's canonically designed as a janitor as well). It's entirely accidental with him though. He struck out one time and learned that he's way too strong to be doing that shit and has dealt with his emotions in different ways instead. He only really wanted to try the whole 'break something' strategy anyway so he's fine with not being able to now. Once he's used to the place, property damage is very rare.

Chica's first five years were god awful. She's calmed down a lot, sure, but she was so fucking bad for it. Literally no shits given. If any staffbot got between her and food, that was it. She would break things to send a message and to make a point, not really out of much anger unless it's at a specific person. Her aggression is typically aimed at attractions and areas that aren't hers, but um. Not always. She's way better about that stuff now though. She's grown.

Roxy is of course, the worst for consistent property damage. Like Monty, she's highly destructive and like how Chica used to be, it's not contained to any one place. She tends to stray away from destroying attractions given the state of her own but has destroyed the Cupcake Factory before. Staffbots are her favourite targets. They're great stress relief and they're fucking everywhere in her territory always bumping into her and watching her and sounding alarms over the Minis and she fucking hates them. AND they test the track with those things! How come they get to race when she can't?? Fuck those guys! She's the reason they have the first update ever in six years and all it does is modify their pathfinding AI to avoid her specifically.

The Minis have done very minor property damage. They are friendshaped. Their damage is their display case and vent coverings.
