Note
hi first of all I wanted to say I love your works
And coincidentally I picked your art to be used in my igcse corsework…long story short. I would gladly appreciate if you’d be happy to give a short introduction of yourself for my artist research
Thank you so much 🤍
This is so... cool!!? thank you so much!
Well, my name is Bianca. I'm currently 30 years old! I have been drawing HP since I was 15... But I also like to explore other things creatively such as writing, concept art, graphic design, productivity. In the last couple of years, however, I have been focusing on my well-being outside internet, that's why I'm not as active as I used to be. It has been the best decision. I announced several times I was going to stop drawing Potterbyblvnk (I draw this series since 2017), but now I decided that it's going to be with me forever! It's nice to get back to it once in a while, but it's not my main project in life anymore.

Ten Lee Talks Art, Dance, and His New Represent Clothing Collection
"So what is the right answer for me? What do I have to do to really be the person I want to be? But then I realized that there's no right or wrong.”
A few days ago, musician and dancer Ten Lee — known for his work in K-pop groups such as NCT and SuperM, and the Chinese group WayV — shared a video of himself freediving in a deep pool. As Billie Eilish croons the opening to “idontwannabeyouanymore,” he launches into a somersault before swan diving easily onto his back, legs fluttering, arms outstretched, a mermaid embracing the open water.
The reason for the dive is a bit of a secret, he tells Teen Vogue, but not one necessarily related to forthcoming music with the groups he’s in. Rather, it’s one way he’s following his own artistic instincts. If he looks like he’s dancing underwater, that’s because he is, bringing to life a picture of a dance move that previously existed only in his head. “I have all these thoughts in my brain right now,” he says, “but I had to make it real.”
Though he floats seamlessly into different combinations of performers onstage, whether as part of the sensual WayV or the chaotic NCT or the maximalist SuperM, Ten has a fluidity and spirit all his own — especially in dance, where he thrives. Born Chittaphon Leechaiyapornkul in Bangkok, Thailand, he joined SM Entertainment in 2013, debuting as part of NCT U in 2016. A turning point came in 2017, when he released his first solo single “Dream in a Dream,” a lovely, imaginative ballad that melds traditional East Asian instrumentals with woozy ambient pop, and has mesmerizing choreography to match. It was the first time he talked to the choreographers he worked with and shared his ideas of what he wanted to try. “I realized why all the hyungs sometimes like doing their own stuff,” he says. “It's because you’re putting your ideas in your own work.”
Now, he’s on the cusp of another turning point: earlier this month, he launched a clothing collection with Represent that features all of his original designs. Longtime Ten fans will know he’s into visual art, sharing regal sketches of his cats Leon and Louis and emotive, detailed doodles on his Instagram. (Fun fact: he toyed with the idea of designing cat clothes, but was concerned about how cats would clean themselves.) The new collection shows off his skill, of course, but it’s also a representation of his creative ethos, and who he wants to be as a person.
Titled “What is ??? THE ANSWERS,” the designs are explosive and bright, with symbols and metaphors galore. He draws various eyes, entranced by the way they show happiness, embarrassment, fear, the things people try to hide. In one design, he uses a cross, which has a double meaning: it’s the Chinese character for the number “10” and also a plus sign, representing the growth and potential he sees in himself.
Ten had long wanted to create a clothing brand, and when Represent approached him, he saw an opportunity to try something of his own. As a kid in Bangkok, he’d taken art lessons at the behest of his mom, who believed that studying art would help boost his IQ and improve his education as a whole. He didn’t really like it at the time, until he took the Cambridge IGCSE exam and tested highly in, you guessed it, art. “I was like, ‘Okay, I like art,’” Ten laughs. “Then I started drawing and trying to develop my own style.” Now, he turns to drawing when he’s feeling “negative energy,” like “when you're down or when you feel sad or when you feel like you're not good enough for something.” Drawing is a source of solace, and it also helps him focus and find clarity on more existential matters.
On Instagram, he wrote of the collection, “What inspires me to create these art pieces is to remind myself that there are no actual answers in what we do. I feel like we are creating all the rules and pressure ourselves with the word ‘standards.’ Who defines the standards of what is acceptable or not + what is right or not + what is enough or not??? The boundaries we draw might limit us from creating something we never knew were capable of.”
When he expands upon that Instagram artist statement, it’s with an interesting visual. “People try to make lines on you,” he says. It calls to mind something like Leonardo da Vinci’s Vitruvian Man, a representation of perfect proportions and clean, graphed segments. An idealized image that hardly ever exists.
“I was thinking about my own stuff, the things I have to do to get what I want, like my goals. And, what people said to me, maybe about [my] appearance or about the skills that I had, or my personality, and they told me to change this, do this. I realized that they're just making their own lines on me. So what is the right answer for me? What do I have to do to really be the person I want to be? But then I realized that there's no right or wrong.”
He connects his drawing to his dancing in one word: freedom. Both allow him to lose himself in the moment of creating something real and personal. But in art, it doesn’t matter so much about finding the right answer, or unifying perfectly with other people the way a highly choreographed dance requires.
“Art is more of an individual pleasure,” he says. “If Mark [Lee, his bandmate] is next to me, and I say like, ‘Hey Mark, do you think that clothing is nice?’ He might say no, but for me it was, ‘Wow, that clothing looks so beautiful.’”
Ten might be homed in on individual artistic expression at the moment, but that doesn't mean that's his sole focus. He also yearns for the day SuperM can reunite after members Baekhyun and Taemin return from their military service. “I will fight for that," he says. "We had so much fun touring and then working with all the hyungs. I hope there's a new project for SuperM to work on once everyone is back."

Hey! So this isn’t a studyblr post or anything, just a few tips for all of you doing the GCSEs/iGCSEs this year or next. I have my exams next month, and I’m excited and nervous both 🍳so here goes
1. Do. Not. Panic Seriously, it seems like you don’t have much time left or anything, but miracles can be achieved with a little bit of planning and a lot of studying. It might seem like a huge waste of time, but spend an hour or so making a timetable for the rest of your revision days. I promise, it will help.
2. Prioritize See which exams are first, and spend a little more time on those. Once they’re out of the way, you can focus more on the rest. Find your weakest subject, and devote a couple hours extra to it. Mine is ICT, so I’m spending a half hour everyday on it.
3. Have your goals in mind Seriously, I’m from California and have posters for UCLA and NYU up on my wall. Every time I feel like giving up on the revision, I look at them and it kinda motivates me a lot more. Also, try writing down your target grades somewhere you see everyday. Seeing that A* up on the mirror will make you want it.
4. Build on your mocks Some of us got amazing mock grades, some didn’t. That’s okay. Find out what you did worst and best in during mocks, and I’m talking concepts, not subjects. For any Year 10s out there, USE the mocks. They seem dumb, but they’re your best shot at what a real exam is like. Also, if you study hard enough for mocks, you won’t be half as stressed doing actual exam revision
5. Share your goals Seriously, do this. If you go telling people about the A* you want, you’re much more inclined to get it, if not for your satisfaction, then to save yourself the embarrassment :)
6. Use. The. Spec I don’t know how many times I’ve heard this, but use your course specification to find out what’s in in your exam. Your course textbook might not cover everything, so make sure you’ve checked the spec and gone over any leftover topics
7. Studyblr is daunting Yep, that’s the truth. It seems scary and impossible to make your notes seem cute and colorful when you’re up cramming for the first big exam of your life, and hear me say this; you don’t have to. Everyone studies differently; some make cute notes, some flashcards, and a couple people like me just read the textbook. If you’re like me, people will tell you reading the textbook isn’t enough, but I’m telling you, if it works for you, DO IT. I got 8A*s and 2As in mocks doing it.
8. Switch it up Use ambient noise. Invite your friends over for a group study session. Take your notes to the Starbucks nearby. Variety can really help, especially with subjects like English and History. Trust me, some chocolate cake will make China 1911-1989 so much more bearable. And if you don’t like having group sessions or going to coffeeshops, that’s 100% okay. You do you.
9. Try doing the paper backward I’ve been doing my Math, English, and History papers backward, so I can get the toughest questions out of the way before. That way, the exam is pretty good; I start out with the brain burners and end with the easiest questions. Aah.
10. Try and be healthy Get some exercise. Eat healthy snacks. Drink lots of water. Don’t forget to get some sleep. It’s hard to do other things at peak revision time, but remember, you’re a human first and a student later. Take care of yourself.
11. Reward yourself It could be something tiny, a couple gummybears, an episode of your favorite show, or a nice long bath, but whatever it is, treat yourself for finishing all your chemistry revision.
12. You will feel like crap, and that’s okay I’ve had days when revision was too much and I had to just stop. It’ll happen, and it’ll pass. Take a break. Get some ice cream. Watch an episode of TV. If you feel like talking to your family, go and do it. Calm yourself down. Sometimes, some sleep, some food and a glass of water will do miracles to your morale. If all else fails, google the Doofenshmirtz Evil Incorporated jingle. It cheers me up everytime
13. Love your subject, and the subject will love you Seriously, I cannot stress this enough. Electromagnetism may be the worst thing in the book, you may hate Benedict of Padua will all your heart, but try your best to like the subject and stay positive. You don’t have to like everything; I love chem but I hate electrolysis, but if you like the subject as a whole, you’ll do better. Seriously, I started doing so much better in physics when I stopped cursing it. And hey, you won't have to do it for A levels if you don't want to

Life story in Sampoerna University thus far
My name is Louis Martin and I am born on the 12th of November, 2001. I went to kindergarten in a small local school called Kinderland in Muara Karang, North Jakarta. I, then went to Singapore International School (SIS) in Pantai Indah Kapuk (PIK), North Jakarta for grade 1 until grade 10. At  grade 10, I completed  my IGCSE O-levels in 2017 with 2 A*’s and 5 A’s.
I, then, went to apply at Sampoerna University in Pancoran, South Jakarta. I applied for a scholarship program, in which I got a 25% scholarship as an engineering student, specifically as a Mechanical Engineering student.  I spent 2 years in engineering major, learning mostly the general subjects and occasional engineering courses each semester (2 semesters a year). After 2.5 years (5 semesters), I decided to switch majors to VCD ( Visual Communication Design) as I felt more appropriate in that field.
I have a very strong interest in Engineering as I grew up with stuff like lego and robotics.  Ever since I was small, I had a very strong fascination on how things around us, such as cars, computers and any machinery functions or work. This was one of the main reasons I enrolled to the Engineering major but I was heartbroken when the engineering courses were almost all theory and very little practicality, the last semester of being in the engineering major was the most dreadful, as it was all theory and logic based courses, excluding one which was physics lab which was also dreadful as it is basically the same as doing highschool science lab procedures,  very cut and dried.
The best engineering course I’ve taken was the Introduction to Engineering course, where we learn about the ethics of being an engineer and conduct experiments where we have free reign on picking the subject we would like to conduct the experiment on. I took this course on the very first semester and gave me high hopes for the Engineering course but that light slowly died down as time passes. After 4 semesters, I lost nearly all my motivation to even attend class and nearly broke as it was so boring with all the theory, one after another. I tried to hold out and manage to pass all classes until the last semester of engineering course, I saw the projects of the Visual Communication Design students and decided that it was time I moved as I knew that Engineering courses are not for me and that the projects I’ve seen seems very nice and hearing the way of studying from the students in that field is nice.
After thinking about it for a long while, I wanted to do digital arts as a major and since the university doesn’t offer specific design courses, such as animation or arts. I went for Visual Communication Design which is the general study of anything in the digital design industry. I changed my major with approval from my academic advisor and head of both the Mechanical Engineering study program and Visual Communication Design study program, alongside the Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology.
The reason I wanted to join this major is because I would consider myself a more of an art or creative guy. As written previously in paragraph 3, I grew up with lego and robotics. In addition to that, I play music and draw a lot, me drawing, playing the piano and building lego has sparked a lot of creativity in me the past decade. I want to join visual communication design as I would like to show my creations, may it be original or inspired by other creators or influences.
Entering my first semester in the new major, I have a lot more free time as I have passed my general courses from my time in the engineering major and I enjoy my time in the new major as there’s a lot more practicality involved. I was relatively nervous as I am a senior going into the same course as freshmen but, after the class, I realised most of them are of the same age as me since I joined this university, 2 years younger than I should be.
In this semester, I took 2 classes that had prerequisites which I haven’t taken and so I attend the class but would not be graded in the final report, the 2 classes were Introduction of Online Publishing and Perception Analysis and Creation. To be honest, even though the semester was a short one with a lot of time constraints, I had a lot of fun in the class and the lecturers are really great as they gave me feedback despite me being someone who would eventually retake the class again as I will not be graded.
There is just one small concern that I find in this major, which is that I notice that I have to change a little bit as my methods of coming up with a design is too unorganised as I tend to sketch my ideas immediately as it flows through me. I was told numerous times by some of the lecturers there that I should construct a mind map or make points on what my design would be like so that I have a clear vision of it.
Overall, I think switching majors is a good choice, although leaving the engineering field pains me, I would much rather be in this major than engineering. It offers more practicality and also does not blurt out with too much theory that it will desensitise me. I have no problem with workload as long as there is practicality involved.
