I sat on the wet street of Ninenzaka in Gion to take this view in. I was there for almost an hour. The Yasaka Pagoda spoke to me in a way that it’s quite complicated to explain. IG mypicturebookcafe: Fox Wedding Parade. One of my favourite Japanese myths. When there is a rainbow across sudden rainfall in sunshine, there would be a Fox wedding parade. And we, humans, are not supposed to see it. Done with ink and gouache.
