... Casually throws more fuel to the fire

Residents of Arkham learn about Danny and his "death day" in one way or another. (Coincidentally, it aligns with the same day 2nd Robin died cause of Joker here)

What caused an uproar was when Danny slipped about how during his "death day", he's in quite a bit (read: a lot) of pain and he thinks it might be because of having no grave. Which- oh boy... BATMAN DIDN'T GIVE YOU A GRAVE!?

"Wait wait- what do you mean you don't have a grave!?"

"... I mean... Kinda hard to have a proper funeral of sorts when there wasn't a body left to have one and all. Plus, why would Batman give me one, anyways?"

Everyone's looking at Joker and later Batman. They're both in hot shit. Mainly Joker atm since Batman ain't in Arkham for them to target- at least not until they do a massive breakout just to solely torment him later on.

Like you said, it's mostly general concensus at this point that Death Day is painful. Physically and/or mentally, the amount depends on how much angst the author wants to give.

That being said, you'd think that would mean Danny would take that day off. But we all know he is also the kind of self-sacrificing idiot that would so cover a co-worker's shift that day after being litterly begged too, thanks to understaffing. That or he just forgot but I'm pretty sure it would be hard to forget after the first few times and Jazz would probably call him like before, during, and after his death day because it is just traumatic all around for Danny.

Furthermore, he probably doesn't want to call and talk to Sam or Tucker about it because it makes them feel guilty and he doesn't want to bug them well they are off doing collage things or whatever. Even if his friends are 100% willing to be there for him.

As for the whole inmates knowing about it. Idk if Danny just let it slip or something, perhaps made a joke thinking that no one would believe it anyways. Completely forgetting this is Gotham and weirder things had happened. Though now there is a debate between the inmates on whether Danny was resuscitated, brought back through superhero shenanigans, or is just a zombie or something.

One particularly brave and/or foolish inmate just straight up asks Fenton if he eats brains. He gets a confused no in response, so most tend to cross zombie off the list after that.

Armed detective agency x reader

Where the whole detective agency are on a vacation ,camping. In the place they are camping, there is a haunted house and somewhere in the house there is a statue. Obviously dazai decides that they explore the house in teams,the first team who finds the statue wins. So the reader is paired with dazai:3 you continue. (BTW reader and dazai are besties though dazai feels something for the reader that's not the concern tho.) the reader,she hates horrors^^

➼Summary: an unexpected trip to a haunted house with dazai, turns into something out of a movie

YOU AND ME ALWAYS FOREVER

You and Dazai were unpacking necessities when you heard Yosano from beside you sigh tiredly and say "finally a well deserved break". "did we really have to come here out of all the places" Ranpo whined eating his donuts he insisted to bring. "i think camping is a nice idea! we can have smores!" you chirped. "speaking of smores about the fire Atsushi and Kyouka arent back yet with the wood. we need it to start the fire" Tanizaki said with Naomi on his arms. "i can go find some too!" Kenji said happily. As if on cue Atsushi and Kyouka both came running to the lot.

"Guys! we found a mysterious house which has a sign outside it has some statue carved on it with a question mark?" Atsushi said panting catching his breath when while Kyouka drops the wood off to tanizaki. "entertainment!" ranpo stood up happily as his donuts were finished. "we have a scheduled plan to stick to? And right now its time to set up a tent". "no~ Kunikida kun we should all explore the house who knows what we may find! maybe a cute lady again willing to kill herself too~?" dazai teased. "oh shut up" you groaned elbowing him. "atsushi what type of house is it?" you asked maybe some people still were living in it. " it wasnt new at all it was old and rotten, really big though and electricity and water had been cut off when me and Kyouka tried the lights at the enterance".

"its...a...haunted...house?" you said worried, swallowing a lump down your throat. "i doubt its haunted but yes its old" Atsushi said before trying to convince Kunikida. Dazai walked to you and said " 'name' are you scared~ you looked pale when he mentions haunted". you snapped back to reality and said " so what?! ive heard many stories that go about the same story and they do not end up well!" you said defensively. " im here with you after all, do you really have to be scared". you stared "i dunno youre unpredictable you'll proabably make it scarier" he laughed at that before everyone was led by atsushi to the house.

Ranpo and Dazai deduced that the sign meant they had to find a statue somewhere in the house and it could be valuable. Dazai suggested everyone split into teams of 2 and exclaimed "team who finds the statue first wins!!". The teams were, Ranpo and Kunikida, Naomi and Tanizaki, Yosano and Kenji, Atsushi and Kyouka and You and Dazai. Everyone and split up until no one was in sight, Dazai inquired that you guys start upstairs since its more likely to be there. There was no light, the only source of light you all had was a flashlight in Dazais hands. You were scared. You kept seeing things. You just felt like something touched you on you shoulder when you looked back to see Dazai holding a torch to his face "boo~" "AAH WHAT THE HELL?! DONT DO THAT!" you jabbed his arm and he laughed teasing you.

You both went into some sort of library and this house was HUGE, atleast 3 stories and really spacious with alot of rooms. Dazai was skimming through some books while you kept looking behind your back. That was when you saw something standing in the corner. You shook Dazais arm and he looked over to you "yes donna-" "is there something standing there..." you said paranoid and pale youre fingers began trembling. He shined the light there and there was nothing. "its nothing 'name' dont be scared im here~" you would have told him to shut up only if you werent so scared so Dazai sighed and held your hand before saying "the statue is on the 3rd floor corner room, its quite dark there so close your eyes, ill guide you through" he said actually serious.

You looked back at the corner you saw something at and then at Dazai and nodding shuddering. You shut your eyes and Dazai quickly led you through squeezing your hand reassuringly some times. Though it seemed Ranpo and Kunikida had the same idea when both of the teams reached the spot where the statue is. You were still holding his hand looking around when you felt something up your leg which made you jump. "donna you dont have any reason to be scared anymore were not alone~". you didnt care you just wnated to go back out. You couldnt take the creepy aura from the house and soon enough everyone gathered outside to tell about the statue and whatever else they found interesting. Like atsushi and Kyouka found an old piano.

Everyone was heading back to the camp site but you didnt realize Dazai was still holding your hand but slowly you stopped shaking and sighed "thank god we didnt die or you and me would always be forever if we got killed by a ghost!" he laughed at your comment and said " you sound it like its a bad thing" you looked at him dead pan and then shuddered, "just forget it this was enough terror for the day". He smiled he couldnt help but feel something, something he never felt, he liked it. he repeated "you and me...always forever..?"

Logan as a dad

This man is the king of dad jokes and you bet that the second after his first kid was in his arms he made his very first dad joke.

I mean Logan turns into the typical dad stereotype, and yes that includes him building a shed and a patio deck.

Aside from that, he can't bring himself to be strict on his kids, his children have him wrapped around their fingers. Whatever those kids want, they get and Logan can't say no to them. In fact he sometimes gangs up with the kids to convince the builder to let them buy random toys.

Logan also loves to spend as much time with his kids as possible, it could be from him playing with his kids to taking them out camping in the desert or going on a family trip, he just wants them to have a lot of fun memories with their dad.

Speaking of camping trips, the builder usually packs enough food for the whole trip since Logan can't cook to save his life, except for maybe roasting marshmallows and making smores.

He also tells them many stories, some about their grandpa Howlett, others about his childhood or about his time as an outlaw. Though when he talks about Howlett he can't help but feel a bit sad since he never got to meet his grandkids.

you're both aquarians so i think nature can be a super therapeutic way to destress with each other! i'm talking bonfires, i'm talking walks on the trails, i'm talking watching the sunset at the lake <3 nature can be super romantic if you wear bug spray!

it's nice and quiet in the woods, giving you the perfect atmosphere to sit by the fire and talk with each other, sharing funny stories, or "remember that time when"s <3 you guys roast marshmallows, giggling when yours accidentally catches fire because you were too distracted by taehyun's sparkly eyes to realize!!!

taehyun brings a little digital camera and snaps candids of you; from him tucking a flower behind your ear, to you biting into your smore, to the ladybug that lands on your finger! you're just so effortlessly beautiful and he wants to remember every single moment.

taehyun "accidentally" only packs one sleeping bag, so you guys cuddle at night, sharing body heat as he presses a kiss to the crown of your head, mumbling words like "you make me so happy" and "i love you so much" as you both fall asleep. you turn him into a huge mush of sappiness and adoration

in the morning, you guys splash at the lake, swinging on the rope securely tied to a nearby tree. you're scared at first, but taehyun's gazing at you from where he wades in the water, all glittering eyes and soft smiles and you instantly feel all the fear in your body dissipate in that moment.

you're laughing and giggling as he wraps his arms around you, peppering your face with kisses as you splash water at him, half-heartedly protesting because you don't want to drown lol but his hold is strong on your waist, so you have nothing to worry about <3

the road trip home is chaotic, from a carpool karaoke sesh, to a who can rap the fastest, to you falling asleep in the passenger's seat in the middle of your sentence. taehyun turns down the music when he notices you snoozing away, brushing some hair out of your face with a delicate smile <3 you're always so pretty and he loves you so much and AAAAAAAAAAAAAA <33333333333 just the best time ever

so... i've been thinking about the june 30th leaks.

i don't think anyone's brought it up yet but the lineup -- devoid of vsingers but that's not my point -- are all of the second year students (who attend normal classes, therefore excluding ena and kanade)... so would the event be concerning them moving up a grade for third anni this year?

idk it's fun to think about what they'll do for this event since these guys probably wouldn't be meeting under any other circumstances...

...so naturally, i filled the blank in myself. how do we feel about a second year road trip?

i don't know where they'd be going. tsukasa probably gets this random idea and rings up rui in the middle of the night like "HEY RUI LET'S GO ON A ROAD TRIP!! :D" and rui would be like "wait why" "WHY NOT?" (actually tsukasa would probably say something like "we have to live our youth to the fullest rui! third year is probably the last chance we have so let's do something fun while we still can!" and this statement will haunt rui for the rest of the event. sorry im evil)

as they start planning tsukasa goes "who else can we invite... OH LET'S INVITE SHIZUKU" and because i am firmly believing that that one shizuku card (from parasol cider event. you know the one) was definitely not a coincidence. rui's just like "...WHAT"

so anyway tsukasa rings up shizuku. shizuku says "ara! of course i can come along :) ooh can i bring airi and mafuyu with me? i think it'd be a fun little get together for all of us ><" and tsukasa goes "OF COURSE YOU CAN :D THE MORE THE MERRIER :DD" and rui's sitting there like "oh what the hell we're actually doing it"

ANYWAY cut to the day. tsukasa rolls up to rui's door with the rest of the girls already in the back. "get in loser we're going shopping" kind of vibe.

and then they go out on the road! idk where they're going!! but like!!! tsukasa driving, mmj songs probably blasting on the radio (responsibly) as they speed down the highway (responsibly)! everyone singing along! since this is a rui event, rui's sitting there absolutely elated! thinking "wow i'm having so much fun! truly this is youth..."

and like i said earlier. the thought of growing up has been haunting rui for the entirety of this event. i will bring this up again and again.

yeah okay i've decided. they're going camping in the woods. don't ask how mafuyu managed to get past her mom, it's probably related to the mafuyu runs away from home thing that's been going on

yeah! camping! out in the woods with a bonfire and stuff! tents! smores! tsukasa bringing copious amounts of bug repellent!! becoming one with the dirt! stargazing at the end of the day! idk maybe they see the leonids! idk!!!

something something they're back in the tents and the sun is rising. rui wakes up early to watch it. who else is there? shizuku. what happens? they have a deep and meaningful conversation about the future of their groups and eventually having to leave them behind. idk i have to shoehorn the lineup in here somewhere

idk what else happens after that. maybe mafuyu wakes up. opens up to them about stuff. and then they all wake up and head back home with the same vigour and a reinforced bond. or something sappy like that.

...YEAH! anyway i just wanted to drabble about the leaks. 100% sure the actual event won't be a road trip or contain anything that i've described above but. it's fun to think about!

they are wildly competitive

they sleep with an eyemask on bc the scrred eye glows in the dark (it bothers eight)

they value abilities over looks on gear so most their outfits are atrocious unless someone forces them to look good.

they can speak octarian

if they had a penny for every time they let an octarian who just got to inkopilis live with them theyd have two pennies. which isnt a lot but its weird it happened twice right?

which brings us to the next one which is actually an octoling oc i made back in like 2016??? def splatoon 1 era. shes been redesigned a bajillion times but the story is mostly the same. after the octavio fight she is also one of those octos who tried to get to inkopolis. this one was found by three who was like. i jave no idea what ur saying ur coming with the the old man totes knows octarian from his divorce. this n that and they teach eachother language and culture and its sweet and cool and they probabyl had some wlw stuff going on until 3 had a wholeass gender crisis

this is her btw. the drawing on the right is more up to date. im still thinking of renaming her. ill never find a name that fits. her original name was marianna but thats too close to marina!!!!!

shes also a fashion designer! she likes to use traditional octarian or military designs in her clothes. her pieces are not meant for turf wars though. shes still in close contact with three, and they hang out a lot. she wants to get three to ask the squid sisters if they could wear some of her clothes on a splatfest. three forgets.

next up!!!!! agent 4. i have two of those. they independently became agent 4 and then unrelatedly also became college roommates.

hash is more of a canon adjacent agent 4. poser, loser, really dramatic and really loud. kidna does whatever they want and also likes to leave graffitti on the kettles they clear. theyre also an only child. they also call marie mom jsut to annoy her. also their hairstyle is the bob in the front but the back is spiky/shaved. theyre a silly lil punk.

ikarus is a cynical asshole. and also a self centered poser whos set on looking cool for whoevers watching. he has 2 younger siblings and 1 older sister. hes from outside greater inkopolis, thinks hes better than the in city inkopolitans but behaves the exact same. he sucks i love him. he really looks up to n respects marie bc she reminds him of his elder sister. his fav brand is toni kensa

ikarus got the agent job first, n got rlly mad when they found out that theres another agent 4 bc he didnt show up enough nd marie just hired someone else. they share a uniform. they try to annoy eachother by puttinf the weirdest smelling stuff in the uniform b4 leaving it at the canyon. when talking ab em as agent 4 i like to use #4 for hash and n°4 for ikarus

the two also have a 3rd roommate

she doesnt have a name though. and if she does i forgot it :(

the three actually make a pretty good unit in their apartement. hash and ikarus only find out theyre both agent 4 when its time for the boss fight and both of them show up to get it done with. theyre both very competitive. they end up fighting over it and hash wins. ikarus is on the truck w sheldon and marie and is yelling insults at the battlefield until marie shuts him up so she can sing.

thw three roommates also always do salmon run shifts together. if they fuck up on a wave they always blame it on the one freelancer. yes they also kiss.

for eight i actually made this ref here recently!

theyve always been really fascinated with inklings and also were going to become an engineer before running off and landing in the metro.

they are very well spoken but also pretty shy. they try to make a good impression on people. finds it hard to trust others.

it took a while until he got used to sleeping in a bed. still sleeps with an eye open sometimes. its a habit.

theyre usualyl the one forcing three into at least okay looking clothes. oh also this tall loser likes to wear heels n platforms. hes literally taller than marina and still wears heels.

he actually started learning inklish back in octo valley from really outdated books. after coming to inkopolis hes been given a buncha annotated language books from marina (and from three, who still had the ones they used w the other octo girlie). but they still end up using some really old phrases and words that kinda leave some people perplexed.

oh also they're not THAT good at fighting (they were never a soldier) theyre smart and persistent though. still ended up severely in debt w pearl bc of the metro. pearl offered he can just work as stage crew for off the hook for a few tours or so and theyre good. he took the offer immediately bc bro barely got income to repay that all normally.

💧 - u know for such an angsty little guy im having a hard time with this LMAO. i bring a different one... so i don’t mention survivors guilt again bc catherine stole that one

obviously! there has been a lot of near death soul rider experiences and adding that to the previous near death trauma aspen had you get. more trauma!! and nightmares. this is about nightmares.

aspen has frequent nightmares about actual death (eg. Moss’ wings not forming in time / Sabine actually getting their ass (not in a good way) in Dino Valley / Being stuck in that in between area after Elizabeth Died / Car Crash / I’m sure there is more I could be here all day)

what if they hadn’t done that? what if in the future they don’t make the right move? its so easy for them to make a mistake and it does not help aspen’s paranoia. 

obviously this is added on to their moon circle issues because once aspen started having Those dreams it was another issue of “was that a nightmare or a vision” and so really. big mess. so fun!

🌟 - stargazing is kind of a quiet bonding activity for aspen. yeah, sure they’re alone most of the time out of their own preference but sometimes they want to hang out! just not mostly in loud crowded places. they try to just think about the peace and quiet because honestly there is way too much going on for them.

since aspen lives in the countryside (though right outside of jorvik city) they see the stars pretty often. most times they prefer to do it with someone though. sometimes its their abuela (who... i hc was a moon sister from the gen b4 elizabeth’s so really its a mild venting session sometimes)

other times it could be one or both of their sisters. most of the time though, they actually stargaze with maya !! actual best friends. one of the few people that aspen has actually talked to that isn’t their family. maya in general is just a very nice and funny person and aspen respects that.

misc people for stargazing though are the flying foxes (has only been a one/two time thing so far but the vibes (and smores) were amazing)

obviously the soul riders too but like !! mainly linda ..... gotta roll out the heavy ass telescope though. 

i imagine their first hang out with anne was a split thing (”alright we can hang out where u would like to hang out w me and then vice versa”) so after they did whatever, aspen took her to the usual hill and they just talked about whatever. bonding over fleeting quiet moments. and then aspen proceeded to point out every constellation.

🔫 - aspen is the least likely person to go “yeah i trust you sure” right off the bat because they are so skeptical. of everyone and everything.

like, obviously, if you’re just being really open about being an ass or something, its a no brainer at that point. sabine at the manor was so very obvious and aspen, internally, was laughing, up until she took justin in which aspen was not laughing and was like “damn.” it takes a while before aspen can trust you (even if you show genuine kindness it takes them like. a week or two before they’re like alright)

aspen isn’t one to turn their back on you without reason. going off “friendship betrayals” for this one, but aspen will show and give verbal distaste for something if you’re just being an annoying or pissy person. if you decide to ignore it, your loss. aspen can deal with you saying that they betrayed you. becaue sure. 

will say that it has happened to aspen before so the first hand experience is strong.

in terms of betraying someone, it depends ig? if its something of turning evil and betraying the ‘good side’ friends, then probably not. unless there was a Very Good Reason and the evil side wasn’t actually evil, then yes. if it was a fake out thing, then probably and very quickly. aspen can deal with the shock and betrayal if it means saving someone from something. life or death situation, and aspen chooses life.

👖 - tbh aspen wears like the same thing... maybe they'll switch it up sometimes (depends on weather like 99% of the time) but its mainly their little trucker hat, a sweater, baggy pants, and the same fingerless gloves and boots.

sometimes in the winter aspen will wear the shortest (modest) clothes possible. just to flex the alaska genes. its hilarious to them. others just think they are insane and maybe they are.

💧 - slaps her little head. this character can hold so much survivors guilt inside it.

anyway she has a Ton and I mean a Ton of guilt from Elizabeth's death because she felt like she should've (and honestly could've....) prevented it but she was just so. shocked that she really couldn't do anything in the moment.

honestly there are a ton of other moments where she has watched past generations die in front of her and she has felt purely guilt from those events but elizabeths is the most recent and so she was beating herself up over it for a while.

plus they were literally in a sisterhood together even if catherine was different. that was her long time friend and she just? stood there? like hell she is gonna feel bad.

🌟 - catherine is constantly thinking about stuff to keep herself from spiraling so! every time she goes star gazing, she’s constantly trying to point out different stuff. where’s this constellation? is that a new one?

they mostly prefer to do it with wren. she only used to star gaze bc of a star circle rider from one of the very first generations but obviously she’s. not around to do it with her anymore.

catherine can just? sort of tell if you’re a good person or not. it makes it easier to trust you if she can tell. of course some people are Extremely open about their true personality but others. hm.

she is well aware of the possibility that someone is faking their goodness or what not but sometimes. very few times she can also sniff that out.

catherine is quick to trust people just bc of the above LMAO. not the type to betray or turn your back on you without reason though bc she is just Not like that. the only time she’d ever ‘betray’ someone is if she was doing a fake-out trust thing bc ur just a little evil person and she needed to do so for her own gain. 

👖 - definitely has no go to outfit lmao that wardrobe is changing every day but. mostly airy clothes. like her sweater + cardigan on her ref are pretty thin in reality. i guess if we wanna consider something a go-to then probably whatever is like? a fashion trend at the time? lmao catherine is an enigma

YQSSS GOT MY BOSS TO PAY 4 FANCY COFFEES

our coffee machine is broken and I need 2 cups to do my work function. Plus adderall. And I usually bring the first with me and make the 2nd at work.

Yesterday my boss went to mcdonals and got black coffees for everyone, bc we have creamer and shit here. But today I was like fuck I want another cup im fiending and so I went to the fancy drive thru coffee hut and got a smores oat latte hellyeah

Todays been very long. My grandma was diagnosed with early stages of dementia her last check up. Which I knew was coming, however hearing it official was still hard. They did say they were impressed that at 88 she’s just showing signs, however the aspect of it isn’t great.

Today was her 69th wedding anniversary. She made a comment how my grandpa didn’t bring her flowers, before I corrected her she responded “oh wait he’s dead isn’t he.” That was hard. I baked homemade Icecream sandwiches. Well the cookie part and added Icecream etc, we looked at her wedding photos and overall she had a good day!

I definitely inherited my sweet tooth and love for Icecream from her. Do you have a favorite flavor? As childish as it is mines Cotten candy.. which FINALLY someone started selling bless target!

had an absoutelhy insane dream last night (obviously dreams do not make sense when you actually try to contextualize all the details and what not, so i will try to reformulate a few things to make smore sense in my mind)

the story is abt a lab of scientists, who also do forensic investigation or something? idkexactly what they dd id and it doesnt matter ebcause dreams are not logicall. the main character has like very low self esteem and a history of being bullied/made fun of (both in the past and in the present by like two coworkers.) this all makes him very insecure an d self conscious he feels like he isnt contributing anything to the lab and is just going to continue being in a menial position/possibly be fired for being so useless (i think he and the two other charas i will mention were actually lab assistants, but like idk what the specifcs of that position are i know nothing abt science). the two other major characters are his two childhood friends who work with him in the same position. they are siblings and the dude is a couple years older than the main character and is sister is ether his twin or a few years younger/closer in age to the main character. the main character looks like a twinkie blonde guy with glasses (basically looks like my still in progress oc who is like the exact same chara but a teacher instead of a scientist. star system bullshit i guess). the dude childhood friend is like very huge and bald and intimidating looking. the girl is basic small blonde cute girl looking type. the mc and chfguy were best buddies back in grade school and the dude always had the mc’s back. but since they got older/separated for a bit due to them being in dif places in life, the dude has become very quiet and so they arent as close but still consider eacther friends. though the dude is like a science genius and he keeps coming up with amazing discoveries and research. which eventually earn him a position as a valued core member of the team. bcuz they arent as close as previously along with dude looking big and scary and being very quiet except for like standard greetings, mc is convinced dude now hates him and is doing all this to get mc fired, or at least dimmish his importance even further. mc is also secretly scared of dude now and since he’s really paranoid about dude secretly hating him, he obviously never brings this up to dude and his sister. the sister is the one who actively tries to reach out to him and talk to him more, but also really admires and loves her brother so of course dude can’t tell her what he really thinks abt him know. 

anyway so the mc does some research/tests abt cancer and boldly exclaims that he has found the cure for cancer (mis-representing the results of the tests he actualy did). no one questions him on the validity of his claim as the rest of the lab staff are too excited thinking abt all the fame and publicity it will bring their lab. and they believe mc is now the shoe in for the noble prize (and yes i was watching bobby broccoli’s utube documentaries recently).

at the same time (i think a bit before he starts the lie) something inside mc just snaps and he kills someone. idr who exactly it was but it might of been one of his past bullies or one of the coworkers who belittled him so much. with his scientific knowledge the guy is able to commit a crime without leaving any traces that would lead back to him. he dumps the guy in the nearby river/creek body of water thing. for some reason he decides to himself that theres point of no return now and that he should continue killing ppl. so now our main character is on e a quest to make a name for himself in two ways: in public he will be known as the genius who cured cancer, and in the darkness he will be an anonymous vigilante serial killer, bringing scum who escaped the law to justice!!! (im p sure now tht he kills the person and starts this quest before he started lying abt curing cancer, cause he wouldnt of snapped like that if all his coworkers were praising his Genius.) 

So the mc continues killing ppl and dumping them in the same body of water. eventually the bodies are discovered and this mysterious vigilante assassin is dubbed... “The Killer.” The Killer’s action inspire fear and debate around the city. Meanwhile the lab staff is preparing the mc’s speech for the noble prize. Mc actually has not published his research yet (cause it like doesn’t exist/leads to a widely different conclusion), and is planning to rely the scientific method not until the event where he receives the award himself, for maximum impact!! Other, “less important” lab members are tasked with writing his acceptance speech, with mc giving the go-ahead and saying that hell check it over and edit it himself once he receives it. Since no one else actually knows the process behind curing cancer that mc supposedly discovered, they mostly just write bullshit fluff. 

Soon the light and darkness of mc’s life intersect, when one of his lab higherups is tasked with doing forensic investigation into the remains of The Killer’s victims. So of course, MC begins expanding his victim criteria and kills the higherup too. When a few fellow lab members begin to question mc’s validity, he kills them too and all their bodies are disposed of the same way. 

So now its like the day before the noble prize ceremony (idk how that shit works at all btw), and mc has crafted a good enough fake logic for how to cure cancer that will fool most ppl who dont know abt science/the more lowly lab members. He has killed everyone in the team who he believes would find the holes in his logic and ruin his grand plan... except.... the dude childhood friend, who is very very intelligent. So mc must kill and dispose of the dude before the ceremony the next day. but whats more important than the actual killing to him, i s figuring out where to dispose the body, since it has to be in a way where no evidence/traces to him remain. it cant be a body of water because he knows it will be discovered quickly and he doesn t want this killing to be connected to The Killer. So he decides to burn it. but since the guy is huge he needs to find a place in the middle of nowhere where he cn set off a huge fire without anyone noticing. Guy spends like all day and night wandering the city and nearby places to find a big field in the middle of nowhere. eventually just walking in circles and making no progress. The remaining lab members are all confused and worried abt where mc disappeared to as he should be practicing his speech, so dude is sent to investigate (and also he goes bcuz he is personally very very worried for his friend). i guess they live in a n industrial city but mc is not even trying he s just wandering around the most populous streets. (but supposedly he just never finds the place he is looking for.) mc also may or may not have realized that dude is following and looking for him, and if he did he was trying to avoid him as well. anyway its the dead of the night, or early morning, mc has went the entire day without eating or sleeping. he lets his guard down and is spotted by dude. so he cant keep up the act of trying to pretend he didnt notice him any longer. i think the excuse mc gives dude for why he was gone all day and spen t the entire night pacing around (even going to the next city or state over and walking all the way back) is that he was just really anxious abt the whole thing and needed time to think by himself and walking helps that. anyway dude is like “you need sleep” so the two rent  a room in the nearby high class hotel (the only place fit for a high class scientist who discovered the cure for cancer.) the ornate hotel room comes with a fire place. 

It is only a few hours until the ceremony and mc is so tired he feels like he’s abt to pass out. So at this point he can either 1. get a t least  a few hours of sleep so he’s not completely out of it during the ceremony. and with that means taking the risk that he will be found out by dude and be made into a global disgrace. option 2 is killing him in the hotel room and burning the body in the fireplace.

Also dude and tire d mc have a chat while sitting on the bed together (mc is like resting his head on dude’s thigh he’s that tired.) here dude confesses that he has been in love with mc this entire time, or at least ever since they reunited at th e same job. and also that him being quiet was just due to his personality changing/experiencing hardships that made him believe it was better to not talk much. and also that he assumed that there bond as childhood friend’s was so close that he really only needed to make small talk for mc to understand him. (a case of awful communication all around). this new revelation adds anything layer to the moral dilemma of mc’s choice. 

Thi s dream had like a bad ending and good ending, like video game. (It was more like “cowardly/giving up” ending and “going through wit h everything” one.) The “bad” ending involved mc confessing everything to dude. not just that the whole curing cancer thing being a huge lie, but also that he’s the one behind te killings. The sleepiness makes MC give up everything and allows dude to decide how to deal with him. (whether he brings him to justice/exposes everything or not.) 

in like these kinds of dreams im usually conscious its a dream so if it ends in a bad/scary way i backtrack and think of a better ending. and also it was one of those dreams where i was both an outside observer watching/reading a story and the mc at the same time, so like ending with being exposed and prob going to prison for life was scary for me. The alt/good/true ending has mc stay awake to continue his killing/burning body plan. I think he succeeds in killing him, either by shoving him in the fireplace alive or by killing him b4 through some method and then burning him alive. but its a big dude and the fireplace is very small in comparison and there’s no tools around to chop up the body so idk what happens after. and idk how it ends in gneeral cause i like always wake up right b4 the actual end. 

ANyway, it was another very fucked up dream but ive had way scarier ones tbh (like this one was mostly fine for me cause like the “outside observer” side was more than the “I’m in the place of the mc” side when its usually the opposite I feel like.) . And with alot of editing/adding and changing things i think this could make an interesting suspense story. 

#dream was an obvious mishmash of the dif utube videos ive watched recently/ #along with some other influences like me last night checking cmoa to see what free promotions were being offered and being upset that traces #was going to end in the mornign so i missed it there were a decent amount of free books and which it was to promote the final volume who kno #ws if the first 5+ or so will be offered for free ever again.....
