im gonna start with my faves THE TWINSS!! god i love them so bad okay so we have mindy whos a horror enthusiast/lesbian/stoner shes autistic AS HELL and was def born before chad cos he fr followers her around like a dog and takes notes when she talks (canon!) and chad is a himbo/jock whos just following the lead from the women in his life whether its his sister or the girl who used to babysit him and let him wear his favorite pokemon onesies and now is someone he would kill and die for or her lil sister whos just a lil loser hes smitten over fdkfjfk the twins are amazing their dynamic is classic lesbian/himbo solidarity (STOBIN TEAS) i just know growing up they would ask each other for girl advice and i KNOW mindy would do the opposite of what chad says cos look at how long it took him to make a move with tara jdfjkjkfjdf theyre an unkillable lesbian/bi duo and their mother is played by a lesbian icon theyre just!!!!!!!

and then theres the carpenters <3 first theres sam who’s suffered more than jesus himself. shes an older sister who just wants to take care of her sister and the kids she used to babysit cos all this terrible shit that happened to them is cos of her (in her mind!!) and then sometimes she hallucinates her dead serial killer dad who (to me) seems to represent the darkness in her while tara is the one who always seems to bring her out of that. their relationship was very strained after sam split and left tara with just their mom (who sounds like a fucking bitch!) so since coming back into each others lives theyve had to find a way to balance sam's overcompensating for being gone and trying to be glued to tara and tara adamantly trying to pretend nothing ever happened. but by the end of scre6m they seem to be on the same page and want to move forward together <3 tara is a lil sad wet cat who always just needs a fucking break!!! she has no interest in being part of some murder legacy shes just fed up and would like to have a lil fun take a load off!!! but ofc she cant so instead she has to start stabbing people like her big sis

they all mean sm to me THEY'RE A FAMILY THEY'RE UNSTOPPABLE I WOULD DIE FOR THEM. yeah i think that sums it up

BTW Ive already made like 5 posts like this im sure but i want to talk about how at the end of Z (where this screenshot is from like at the VERY end it is a very cool shot) Trunks is so chill and self-assured and confident and fully embodying himself and he is still very much Player 1 and Goten’s senior.  Even tho it’s only by a year , it never felt inconsequential. Goten still called him “-kun” which of course he did he was raised by ms Chichi and uses respectful language. But i just think that he could have gotten away with no suffix at all if he wanted to. But it was the polite and affectionate thing to do. Plus i’ve no clue the nuance of that shit anyway Listen

OK So ive made posts like this before but i want to say that I am sooooooooooo sorry for portraying Trunks as being soooooo comically BOTHERED by Goten’s antics. And by therefore (inadvertently or not) portraying him as Stressed Out and Less Than Chill and Bossy and Specific and Insecure and Anxious and Prone To Snapping. Ive walked the line between That and a more canon portrayal before but really all that secondary bullshit should just be dropped at this point like ive done enough :/ Like 

OK ive already said all this before but Im thinking about this again. Ok well basically TRUNKS IS PLAYER 1. Always has been and always will be. Goten is Player 2 and he has to use the player 2 controller hooked into the player 2 slot and he cant use the default colors bc he’s player 2 so he has to be Blue or Red or something thats Not the default and it’s not his game and it’s not his Gamecube and it’s not his house and it’s not his room and it’s not his TV. And it’s that fucking simple

THEY ARE A DUO..!!!!! BUT Trunks is player 1 and Goten is player 2. Theyre not so much equal as much as there is a yin-yang to it. 

OK. So Im sorry for portraying Trunks as even having a reaction to Goten’s antics bc the truth is that he really would not let anything that Goten does get to him at all whatsoever bc 1.) He’s seen it all before 2.) He’s unbothered by it 3.) He’s better than that. And he is not going to be one-upped by Son Goten.

HE IS THE CHILD OF BULMA AND VEGETA ....!! HE IS NOT GOING TO BE ONE-UPPED BY ANYONE FRANKLY...! 

NOT TO MENTION. HIS EASY SPIRIT. Even Future Trunks who came from a hellish reality had a very distinct Easiness to his spirit. He is fully embodying himself, is comfortable in himself. He does not waste time on dreaming and is instead interested in doing. He is capable of relaxing and capable of enjoying his time alive. And in no environment will he ever feel like there’s no room for him.

Ok... We see that so clearly in our Present Trunks at the end of Z somehow. Hes so chill and cool and comfortable. And we see it again in GT in how he didnt want to do all that paperwork so he just flew out the fuckign window. 

HE;’S JUST LOOKING FOR A GOOD TIME. THAT’S IT. It’s that simple.

OK Well I do remmebr how when i very first started talking about Goten & Trunks it was definitely before I even saw the end of Z . I didnt honestly know what to make of them yet but what I did know was that it was feasible that Trunks could grow into a bossy kind of guy. And the natural next step, obviously, was to have his counterpart be someone who could get under his skin. Because if Goten couldn’t bite back then why would they hang out .. they have to be equally matched in SOME capacity . And i figured that if I kept watching and kept thinking about it and then rewatched some then I would understand their characters better. 

Well I did keep watching it and I did keep thinking about it but my first impressions became Classic to me rather than a First Draft That Should Be Ditched. Partly becasue there was some FUNNY SHIT in my head at the beginning and i didnt want that to become obsolete lol. A lot of it did age past relevancy but a lot of it didnt and i ended up using it later (like that comic where Trunks was wearing Goten’s entire outfit and was like “well one of us is going to have to change.”) Anyway 

So anyway I dont know where Im going with this necessarily. Just that I really liked the idea that Trunks would grow into a bitchy teenager and have some difficult times and his player 1 complex would become exemplified as he became more self-aware and insecure about his power and place, and so he would boss Goten around like always, albeit more ardently because it’s a bit more needed now, and Goten would either tolerate it or tip his hand and say/do something that completely strikes the perfect nerve. Sometimes it was an accident but Goten himself would grow into somebody who is very emotionally intelligent and mature so he doesnt accidentally piss him off for forever. Sometimes he’d do it in self-defense and other times he would do it because it was funny. And then i guess Trunks grows out of it and into his Easy Spirit that we see at the end of Z. And i rememebr arriving at the End of Z and being like OMG OMG OMG OMG SO COOL but also being like “ummm this is a little different from what i was saying lol ...” and idk i never did anythign abt that .. Im a creature of habit i guess . Anyway

Anyway if you want my professional opinion I’d say that Trunks never has to get pissed off at Goten becasue he can hold his own. It is funny to think that at some age Goten becomes less childish and naive and more quick-witted, and Trunks, WHO HAD ALWAYS BEEN THE PRECOCIOUS ONE, who has enjoyed a life of being comfortably many levels of awareness above Goten, now has to reconcile with Goten catching up to him, and he does not handle it well. That is an interesting story but IT’S NOT EVERYTHING ...!! AND IF THAT DID HAPPEN it likely died down pretty soon becasue AGAIN. END OF Z. TRUNKS WAS SO CHILL AND HE AND PAN STILL KICKED GOTEN’S ASS IN THE TOURNEMENT. WHICH WAS SO FUNNY BTW. 

Becasue he’s STILL..! PLAYER..! ONE..!!!!!

It makes perfect sense tbh. Of course. Of course Trunks is still stronger than Goten. Goten is Goten after all. He comes from a loving rural home and even tho his mother is a hardass and his father only cares about fighting, he’s still a very chill dude. And Trunks is also chill but he does take life a bit more seriosuly. But not to the point of frequent stress. It’s just that his father is Vegeta and his mother is Bulma and he’s being fast-tracked to being the President of Capsule Corp and like ... He knows how to relax but he also experiences very high prestige. And here’s the important bit: HE CAN HANDLE IT. HE’S NOT STRESSED OUT ABOUT IT. HE’S BUILT FOR IT. HE’S BEEN TRAINING FOR THIS. HE CAN HANDLE IT. 

Anyway I dont want to say that it’s less funny and that there are less things to say if Trunks is chill and theyre actually on the same wavelength usually becasue that’s quitter talk. Thats quitter talk. Of course there’s still a lot to say .. of course there are stories to tell there .. It’s less emotionally piquant but that is in fact the point, what emotions are left between them? Theres no expressions of anger but thats fine. It’s whatever. Like i’ll be fine... .........

Anyway. Here is a list of the only ways that I can imagine where Goten one-ups Trunks:

1. I guess expressing unwarranted and unabated genuine affection. But only in really specific contexts becasue that usually works at bugging someone IF there’s space left between you that has yet to be revealed/explored. And i don’t think that there’s much space left between those two. Theyve known each other since they were babies but they lack the obligation and boundaries that family would share. So I really dont know what Goten could do in that field to bug him. He does live life with a much more prominent and open heart than Trunks does so he’s capable of expressing an amount of love that is sickening but I dont think that, if he afforded Trunks that, that Trunks would be bothered by it. First of all he’s probably heard it before. Second of all, if Goten really tried to push it, it would become clear that he’s doing a bit, and Trunks isn’t gonna let that go anywhere.  Third of all there is a very simple way to diffuse an attempted one-up which is to take it one step further. “i love you man” “cool i love you too” (kisses him on the lips) . And that really does mean nothing to them. Well actually in a strictly canon interpretation they would absolutely NOT do that but I already said that I dont think that theres much space left between them. They could do anything and it would not change anything. And that’s all there is to it

2. Honestly if Goten did something that was a little improper but hard to argue against. Like named his first child after Trunks’s family’s nomenclature. Like “hey Trunks guess what .. my ex just showed up with a baby and told me that it’s mine .. crazy right? .. I wanted to be a dad eventually but this is sort of shocking haha ... BUT I LOVE MY NEW BABY ... I named them Thong” and at which point Trunks would be like “Um. What”

That might cause a bit of an argument .. like ummmmm..... Maybe you should name it something in line for YOUR family .... and stay out of mine............

But we all know that Goten would name his first child “Gohan The Third” anyway so that would never happen lol.

3. If Goten really truly surpassed Trunks’s player 1 status somehow. If he became stronger than him and consistently so. If he became president of the World while Trunks is only president of Capsule Corp. It wouldnt break Trunks and it certainly woudlnt break what they have but it would cause Trunks to sit down for a bit and really think about that. Goten wouldnt let the power get to his head so they’d still be good. But that would still strike some mounting fear in Trunks’s heart I think. Especially becasue I dont think that he thinks his relative level of power plays into his self-image at all. But it does. It’s just never been questioned. 

BTW on ask-tarble.tumblr.com Trunks is still going to be relentlessly bothered by Goten’s antics bc the whole blog is broadly funny at the expense of relevant characterization like a western cartoon so... yeah. STRONGLY looking forward to showing all that. THANK YOUUUUUUU

do u ever think of valerie grey i think of her an above normal amount. shes literally got a classic super hero origin story and on top of that shes danny's foil, tbh more so than vlad is. (this got so long continued under the cut)

for starters its just her and her dad! she doesn't have her mom or any siblings. its not too bad bc he has a nice job w decent hours so he spends a lot of time with her. then a ghost (?!!??!??!) destroys your dads work place, and they fire him bc some how he should've known how to protect the place from ghosts, too! despite the fact that pretty much no one believes in the ghosts and/or isnt taking it seriously. how the fuck was he supposed to know that ghosts were a threat? is there anything abt ghosts in the contract?? but anyway ur dad gets fired and you go from comfortably middle class to poor. shes 14 and working a job! all her friends dump her! and then the rich mayor of her town offers her a chance at Revenge against the ghost that did this to her!! he says he noticed how special she is and enlists her in a secrete project to use her to hurt his nemesis save the world!

shes 14 and alone and so so angry all the time. vlad offered her a little power over her situation of course she took it. of course she'd do anything he asked to keep it.

she and danny are going through the same stuff! shes maintaining her secrete identity! shes out there every day fighting ghosts and skipping school and after fusing w a ghost powered suit she might not being completely human/alive anymore. theyre foils!! theyre 2 sides of the same story!

but danny has so many people and ghosts to help him, even a couple right off the bat, but shes alone. sam and tucker r w him in a lot of his early fights. jazzed eventually figured it out and stepped in to help. frostbite helped him figure out his ice powers.

you know who help valerie when her suit fused to her? no one! shes gotta figure out the new powers with no help. who knows what symptoms that caused. who needs a no one knows au when vals right there giving it to u in canon?

can u imagine what vlads doing to manipulate her? hes using her to hurt danny. he doesnt give a shit abt her emotional or physical safety. hes the one pointing her at phantom and all the other ghosts.

all she can really do is throw herself into her role as Red Huntress, into her vendetta against ghosts. she hasn't actually questioned it bc shes too scared to and vlads manipulating her on top of that. why is everyone surprised she agrees to a truce w phantom to save dani? shes a 14 yr old playing super hero to cope, not a villain whos been stewing in bitterness for 20 years and renounced all morals.

uhhhhh other things i wanted to point out where how shes got what danny wanted so bad. her dads so normal. shes in the popular crowd at school. shes close to paulina (yes in a gay way a little bit). and she fucking lost it all.

ill never forgive that they ended her arc w finding out vlad was plasmious. i am desperate to see the aftermath of that. i want her and danny as a cool super hero duo. i want her to join team phantom (to be renamed later) and be friends w sam and tucker. help her

decided im taking a break from comms today and figured id doodle some destiny ocs that’ve been rattling around in my brain for ages.  they dont rlly serve a ‘purpose’ and arent related to any of my other destiny stuff much if at all but idk i like them theyre fun :)

- as i wrote, nik is not.  the brightest.  fits pretty squarely within the titan ‘stereotype’.  dare i say himbo?  jock.  doesn’t have much of a mind for strategy or tactics but on the other hand hes VERY good at smashing stuff.  very nice and tries his best even when he’s well aware he’s out of his depth; earnest and well-meaning if not always on the mark.  he IS capable of following orders so at least he’s not hopeless.  loves to gas up his friends, or like.  really anybody.  very easily excitable.  almost like a puppy but like.....big and very strong and also immortal.  HUGE WIFE GUY!!!!!! idk what subclass he’d gravitate more toward, probably void? protecting the homies

- riley is very cocky, snarky, brash.  has a bit of a temper.  loves to show off.  confident.  has a soft side but its very hard to really get to.  how nik managed to get in in the first place is anyone’s guess.  very skilled pilot, though she tends to fly recklessly, so much so that it even scares nik sometimes if he’s on board with her.  worries more about nik when he’s off doing guardian stuff than she lets on but absolutely won’t admit it, especially not to him (she can’t even stand to watch his crucible matches :( )

- yeah theyre basically “excuse me, he asked for NO pickles.” and also this post

- nik’s ghost is named apple, to quote the man himself, because he is “small and cute like an apple”.  apple doesn’t really get it but he’s long since learned to just (metaphorically) smile and nod sometimes, BUT not in a like, rude or dismissive way.  he loves his guardian a lot.  but oh my god.

- apple, if you couldn’t tell, has all the brain cells in the duo and tries his best to shore up nik’s weakness wrt fighting smart.  which is 50/50 if it’ll work out and nik will follow his directions properly, but at the end of the day there’s nobody else he’s rather have protecting him when he’s forced to hack something out in the open.  apple tends to be kinda skittish, pessimistic, and averse to “going in the front door” as it were, but like.  your guardian is a classic, textbook titan, buddy. im so sorry.

Stickvin: AH A CLASSIC! I think it’s good! They’re just bros and I think they’re a very nice pairing, I’ve started to draw less of it but I think it’s a lovely pairing nonetheless. It’s that ship in the fanbase tho, where it tends to get a lot of young fans who tend to be really insistent on stickvin content or being rlly weird, like fucking. fujos. unfortunately. but i shouldn’t let that taint the ship for me, its very lovely and acted as a comfort ship back when I first joined, its not in my brain as much but. iTS JUST GOOD!!

Rosemin: Does this count? I think so? if not IT SHOULD!!! Rosemin has recently started rotting my brain and I feel like it deserves more recognition. They are a power couple! Toppat King and Right hand lady Ellie?? WTF THEIR POWER!! The inherent romance of being a right-hand!! TT/TR/PP/CG? Absolute power duo!!! And in TCW? I think people should start thinking abt Enemies/Rivals to Lovers TCW Rosemin!! Like think about it!! They never had the chance to talk it out, and maybe they realize their argument is doing more harm then good, they slowly come to realize that theyre not so different after all and grow to forgive, or something I JSUT! WHERE ARE THE WOMEN!!! but yeah these two? I adore them so fucking much. They can be such a power duo and I think there is so so so much potential, especially since both ellie and dr v have so much unknown about them, i just. I feel like theyre such an interesting dynamic to explore, especially with the multitude of different dr v variations. ik for my ask blog i wanted to build up this pairing, but idk if ik going to keep my askblog, but i just, i cant express the emotions and thoughts they give, they are kust a loving duo, who are so powerful, the brains and brawn and both r beauty. i just UGH!!! Panprice: OH A VERY GOOD DUO. Dave and Rupert is such a good ship and like. I really love their whole dynamic with rupert getting the good card and dave getting the bad card, like any opposite dynamic like that is rlly cool. and i thunkthey should reunite and rupert should be there for dave, bc hes rlly been througj it.. and i just. they are good dynamic!! ex-coworkers to lovers babey!!!

Rave: Oh rave. I have a lotta feelings and emotions on this ship but man I DONT KNOW HOW IFEEL ABT IT NOT BEING A RAREPAIR ANYMORE,,? Like i dont know other social medias so I don’t know how popular it is in its entirety buT I AM GLAD TO BE ONE OF THE PEOPLE TO BE CAPTAIN OF THIS SHIP BC MAN... I think about it so much. Like Rave is a comfort ship of mine unfortunately, I’ve latched onto to Randy and Terrence and I’ve created these two characters from nothing (they’re basically ocs) and then gave them a wholeass story?? man i just. the foundation is these two awful leaders being in love and rainbow x greyscale, which I think is an epic starting dynamic. Like I feel like. I could go for literal hours about things, but the thing with Rave is because Randy and Terrence have so little information, there’s so much that can be done, and in my case, I think these two just tried their best, wasn’t good enough, and eventually settled down, being Henry’s fathers. bc i believe in NICE TERRENCE PROPAGANDA

so ,,, i used to collect littlest pet shop (mostly the 1st and 2nd gen ones bc yall i am old) and theyre long gone now but. these are some of the lps i remember playing with and giving distinct personalities growing up. most of them didnt have names at all so im just referring to them with numbers and pictures. also warning it gets pretty Dark bc weird kid culture but here we go;;;

the first is #11 and #86. they were my absolute FAVORITES, a mother and daughter duo, a lot of their stories revolved around the kitten getting lost and the mom having to get to her, or the kitten dying and the mom having a mental breakdown. 11 mostly acted as a single mom but sometimes id cycle out different potential dads, usually the dog lps bc i did Not care abt the actual scientific lack of interspecial breeding possibilities

#25. a basic white picket fence ass dude, really common choice as the ‘dad’ in the above situation, he also was not immune to being ‘killed off’ for angst. was also cheated on a couple times by 11 (THOSE WERE AUS THO,,, DONT CANCEL HER ITS OK TO KEEP STANNING)

#200. she was #11s best friend, I think her name might have been hannah??? anyways if the mom and dad were killed off sometimes she’d “adopt” #86. but usually only after #86 fell into the custody of a terribly neglectful parent for a while and had to be rescued bc again, in my gay neurodivergent little brain peace was never an option

#487. another love interest for #11, usually competed with #25 in an almost edward vs jacob type battle of cool brooding boy and average mcfamily man. he was a big fav

#672. number #487s sister! usually either helped him get #11 like a wingman, or i’d flip the cards and make her manipulative and sabotage 11 bc she didnt think she was good enough for her brother. the personality switches id give characters were rly like. getting the bad ending in a video game,

YET ANOTHER,, LOVE INTEREST FOR THAT ONE CAT,,,, but it was one sided and he always lost. poor friend zone ass simp im sorry man idk why you deserved that 😔 i think sometimes though id pair him with #200/hannah at the end. cant get the girl date her best friend idk i was 8 my morals were not always applicable to the adult situations i created

#14. SO I,,,, i ended up with three of these. and in the end i made them triplets that performed for the circus and were unhappy in their life of exploitation. i think sometimes they would. form a sui pact to escape their torment.

I remember she was spanish to me but spoke mostly english, this decision was made bc i was an extremely white american child, and she was almost always involved somehow in a story bc she was my favorite design ever. anyways she usually was a model that would give a struggling lps a ‘makeover’ like that one scene in any dramatic disney live action film ever made

#464. another fav bc of her design omg. she was like a little sweetheart and would often play the role of ‘baby’ for any species i didnt already have designated ‘babies’ for. BUT, when i’d play with the other hamsters (we’ll get 2 them in a sec), i made them all the same age and theyd all crush on her at the same time lmao the DRAMA

#34, #35, #36. they were brothers and in order from left to right;;; biggest brother and a leader+positive role model, then the punkish middle brother that didnt like to listen and would often get them all in trouble, then the youngest nerdy brother that was naive and soft and did w/e he was told. they stuck together thru all their antics, except when #464 was involved, then theyd have a classic ‘fighting over a girl then realizing thats ridiculous’ arc. rly loved these guys cuz i always wanted a hamster so id pretend they were real animals sometimes too loL

#693. i got thsi in a mcdonalds happy meal but anyways she was a princess/queen/whatever and was very spoiled royalty. probably tried to behead some of the other lps idk. all she wanted was drama and money

#48, #79 #42. !! HUGE FUCKEN BITCH ALERT !! (popular girls trio lol), i think a couple times i like, aged down #11 and got rid of the kitten for a ~highschool au~ where these girls bullied her but she ofc ended up stealing the middle ones man. and then other times i just paired the middle girl with #112 in a genuine ‘opposites attract’ ship . where were u guys when i was making duncney lps a thing tbh

#59. i love this guy but he was just an eccentric dork and mostly used for comedic effect

#43. love interest for #59 that he goofily fawned over till he eventually got the girl at the end of every story bc i loved cliches

#673. usually a mysterious adventurous girl from out of town that meets the mains in my story and befriends them/helps them out. also a close friend of the groovy goat character

“Paws off diary” Bull Terrier. ok this ones weird but he came in this lil electronic diary right (you can google how it looks to see what i mean) and there was this like, plastic bubble on top that he came in and you could stick him or any other lps in there and shut it securely cuz it was a diary so i. used it as like. a prison almost where id trap lps and the other characters had to ‘save’ them like they were rescuing a princess from a tower or smth. but it was usually just this lil guy. also he was given a name but i was kinda cheating skjdfsdf it was, “Max” bc that was always his name in the commercials for the diary--

#646 and #647, twin orphans separated at birth. did a lot of princess and the pauper esque ‘long lost siblings from different worlds’ reunion stories with these two

#94. so this one came with a head bandage and a little medical looking case to carry them in. i used the carry case as like an ‘ambulance’ or med helicopter to put ‘sick’ pets in and carry them to the hospital, and this pet had chronic illness so they were always the roommate patient at the lps hospital.

#10 and #142, the goldfish couldnt be taken out of the bowl if i remember correctly so. he felt sad and isolated but the seahorse was his best friend who was able to go anywhere so id stick him in the bowl with him a lot to hang out n make him feel better. solidarity

#463. i LOVED her design, so i used her a lot as just a friend to whoever i was playing with. she was also one of the bigger birds so shes the only one i remember really utilizing as a ‘this character can literally fly’ plot device. she also might have been magic i dont remember. ik whenever i did the circus story she was always in it

#37, #38 and #39. i lost the ‘girl’ one early on, like completely lost it and never found it again so idk what happened to it. so the story was the other two were brothers in a constant search for their long lost sister. sometimes id either have another lps be their sister or make a ‘found family’ trope out of somebody

#331. i had two of these and they come with little hats but i lost one of the hats so. evil twin story babey the regular one was a nice old pirate guy but the one with the hat was evil and nobody could ever tell the difference

@tch-tchtchkaa wins the vote on personalities for our recolour twins! Annoyingly though the tumblr mobile app wont let me copy paste answers if they were sent via the reply function. So im gonna try and paraphrase! (And add my thoughts!!) They're gonna be a classic introvert and extrovert duo, but Tch gave some really interesting nuance to it! The dark green one is the shy one and the white one is the cheery one. Timid greenie is very cowardly and easily spooked even by this strange human that brings them food and stuff. And they like to squish into hiding places under the bed or inside tupperware and stuff when they're spooked, so [currently unnamed assistant character] always has to play hide and seek to rescue this lil bab from their own fears. That was THE BEST AND CUTEST DETAIL, thank you Tch for giving me such prime daww! However as well as being shy theyre also sort of the cautious and sensible sibling, who always feels responsible for protecting their more outgoing sib who always gets into trouble. So the only time they're able to be a brave badass is when they need to save someone else! But also they tend to get dragged into outgoing sib's mischief a lot, its just like you'll catch the two of them stealing cookies and one of them will be unrepentant while the other is crying its eyes out! Poor lil doof is too shy to ever say no to bad influences! Most commonly used phrase: "i dont think this is a good idea, Mallow" ALSO RANDOMLY I HAVE DECIDED THEY ARE NAMED MALLOW AND MINT (mallow = outgoing, mint = shy one) And then Tch also gave me some cool more complex ideas for Mallow too?? They're not JUST the stupid shonen hero archetype. They're also that but adorable and cutesy! So like the shoujo shonen archetype?? Characters like sakura from cardcaptors or sora from kingdom hearts. And then they're also kind of a trickster and know exactly how to play on Mint's personality to get them to join in with the fun. I imagine their dynamic is just like that meme of "if i jump at mint they will catch me in their arms" "mallow im holding coffee" *absolutely does so, and gets covered in coffee* Mint is only able to overpower their anxiety by the power of how much they adore their sib!! But also sometimes get tricked into bad ideas because of it!! But also i dont think Mallow is really a bad manipulative person or anything, yknow? Like even if they were it wouldnt really be 'manipulative', itd just be a kid who doesnt know right from wrong yet and maybe needs a lil talk from their parent. But i think Mallow is still well-intentioned even when they drag Mint into stuff they dont want to do. I think they love Mint as much as Mint lives them, and they think that theyre helping by tricking them into having fun. Mallow is smart enough to know when theyre not allowed to do a thing and how to sneak past the restrictions, but not smart enough to know that it actually is a bad idea, yknow? I think whenever they drag Mint into one of their harebrained schemes and it goes wrong, they feel CRUSHINGLY guilty, and do everything possible to make it up to their sibling afterwards, yknow? But also sometimes Mallow's tricks do work out well, because often Mint is irrationally scared of a thing that isnt actually dangerous. Like sometimes its the kids being frightened of the vaccuum cleaner or a strangely shaped crumb, and sometimes its 'hey the humans said we shouldnt jump off the roof but im sure its fine'. Actually that could probably be a good sidequest plot, the tamer trying to teach Mallow to stop doing a thing and realizing that this kid is too precocious to listen to 'just dont do it cos i said so' and never learns unless they do the thing and experience the bad consequences. So you find that it works better to fully explain to the kid exactly what the thing is and how it can be dangerous, instead of just giving them orders. But it can be difficult at first when these kids are freshly hatched and dont understand how to speak human language. How do we explain this through pantomime...? Oh and maybe a similar quest with Mint where you have to figure out how to explain that something isnt as scary as it seems. How can we turn Mr Vaccuum into a friend? OH and lol that reminds me! We never actually decided on genders for these characters? Can we maybe do a vote for that? One boy and one girl, two same gender siblings, or maybe even one of them actually is nonbinary? Or another idea i had was that maybe the human assistant character is nonbinary! Oh and also are we okay with Mallow and Mint as names?im sorry i just decided that without a vote
