Share smth you find interesting about the Junker/Australia lore in OW. Anything. Idk much about it other than it basically turned into Mad Max
Ok so I posted about this awhile ago and it was recently confirmed by Declassified but the Australian Omnium was seemingly made in aboriginal land, that being part of the reason why a lot of Australians didn't like the fact that the omnium was being given to the Omnics.
Another thing of note is that the area that was turned into a wasteland was Central Australia, though everywhere else was affected, specifically the cases of diseases increased because of the radiation. The only areas that were turned into the Mad Max wasteland we know was Central Australia, we even see Sydney in one of the comics!
Also in Declassified it's revealed that the person who ran SEP was a doctor from Australia. It's also been noted that both Sojourn and Angela have several charities and hospitals named after them because of their help after the Omium exploded.
Another thing I find interesting about the Australian characters, is the fact that I can tell where they're from just by their accent. Such as JQ is from Queensland and Junkrat and Roadhog are likely from NSW, it definitely wasn't intentional because Junkrat and Roadhogs voice actors are both American and they use the stereotypical accent.

Junkers Ju 87A Stuka, unit, location and date unknown. Early model Stukas had these very large wheel coverings, which were removed from the B model onwards and replaced with more streamlined versions. Car ( the pilots?) is possibly a '37 Lancia Aprilla.
