● so basically Scott and Allison were dating

● and then they met Isaac and were like wait we both have a crush on him??

● telling all the parents was a trip

● Melissa didn't care she was more concerned about where to put Isaac since he was living with them and obviously couldn't sleep in Scott's bedroom anymore

● Chris was like "really?? You couldn't just date one werewolf but two?? And a kitsune??"

● Ken pretended to understand but then Noshiko had to explain to him what polyamory was, "so all four of them are in a relationship?? Like together?? How did Kira go from being single to having three partners??"

● Allison being the supportive girlfriend cheering in the stands while all three of her partners are on the field during lacrosse games

● every game she rotates wearing a different one of their jerseys

● when all of them go out to dinner it's a whole ordeal

● Allison thought Scott and Isaac ate more food than any one person should be able to but then Kira came along and she can out eat both of them

● they went to an all you can eat buffet once and by the time Allison finished her first plate Scott and Isaac were each on plate three and Kira was on plate five

● and when they order in pizza they have to order at least 6 pizzas and every box is empty by the end

● Chris "really guys? You use my credit card and you couldn't at least save me a slice?"

● they go on runs together through the woods

● Scott and Isaac love scaring Allison and Kira by disappearing then sneaking up and picking them up from behind

● as much as the four of them love spending time together they also make sure to have plenty of one on one time with each other too

● "you both look exhausted what were you doing last night?"

● Scott and Isaac looking at each other like they totally didn't just complete a game in 18 hours that is supposed to take people days "...nothing"

● Allison and Isaac have a lot of study dates because Isaac doesn't do any of his homework otherwise

● the look on Coach's face when he found out their relationship situation was priceless

● Scott and Allison have more of the adventurous dates going to new places and trying new foods

● while Isaac and Kira have more casual dates like bowling or going for ice cream

● movie nights with them all cuddled up together on the couch

● Melissa comes home from her night shift at the hospital to find all of them fast asleep and the movie credits rolling

● unless they put on a horror movie because once again Scott and Isaac think it's hilarious to scare Allison and Kira who then don't sleep at all that night

● Scott, Allison and Kira all stealing Isaac's sweaters which are way too big for them

● one day he shows up to school and sees Scott, "Hey is that my sweater?" Looks at Allison, "that's mine too," looks at Kira, "and that one! No wonder I couldn't find anything to wear this morning."

● Allison being fascinated by both her and Kira's family histories

● they do so much research together

● if any of them ever get hurt the other three completely dote on them until they get better

● Scott "you guys I'm okay, super healing remember?"

● Isaac "just relax here I made soup"

● Scott "you have never cooked in your life"

● Isaac "fine Kira made soup"

● Allison "now that's more beliveable"

● they are the talk of the school when they first get together

● but after the shock factor wears off no one even gives them a second look when they are all walking to their respective classes hand in hand

● or when they are huddled close together on a bench during lunch break being all cute and coupley

● even if someone does say something they don't care

● they are happy in and in love and that's all that matters

Pair of Foxes 🦊 | Kira Yukimura Headcanon

Being a fox shapeshifter (were-fox) and Kira’s best friend would look like:

I guess you can say foxes are drawn to each other because when Kira first moved to Beacon Hills you immediately befriended her—literally walking straight up to her in the library with a beaming grin. “Hi! You’re Kira right? I’m Y/n, mind if I join you?” Not even waiting for her to say yes you dropped your things and began pulling out homework for you history class. She was a little taken aback but polite nonetheless, “U-uh sure. I don’t mind.”

You’d known Scott and Stiles since middle school but hadn’t become friends with them until the whole Alpha fiasco when Peter bit you in hopes of making you a member of his pack. However, the little trickster you naturally are, ended up shifting into a fox instead of wolf—eyes glowing more orange instead of yellow and canines smaller than Scott’s. When Peter discovered this—shortly before his untimely death—he bestowed you with the nickname ‘Little Vixen’. Eventually you managed to fully evolve into a fox like Malia could as a coyote.

When it was revealed Kira was a Kitsune, a Japanese Fox spirit, you couldn’t help but go, “Look at us, Ki, we’re a pair of foxes! Ain’t that neat!” Of course her fox was different from your fox—for example she brought forth her spirit when wielding her sword and you could shift into yours as you came and went. Even when Kira’s fox spirit was thrown out of balance due to the Dread Doctor’s, it was like the Kitsune recognized the fox within you and held some sort of respect.

Basically the Fox didn’t attempt to kill you like it did everyone else. “Maybe it thought we were relatives or something.” “Well whatever it thought from now on you are gonna have to step in whenever I lose control.” “You’re my best friend, of course I’m gonna help you.” From that moment on you and Kira became each other’s anchors. She was there to calm you down on a full moon and you were there to put the Fox in her at ease.

“We’re like platonic soulmates, Ki.” “Platonic soulmates who are a pair of foxes. The best combo if I’ve ever heard.”

Kira always had a pack of extra clothes that fit you in her bag. Shifting into your fox form or fighting to the point your outfits are tarnished enough times had your best friend come prepared to everything.

There are days where Kira will catch you and Malia in your fox & coyote forms chasing each other on the lacrosse field or play fighting. This will have Kira running after y’all because bystanders are calling animal control, “Get back here you two!”

Another time you were stuck in your fox form and unable to shift resulting in you having to stay at Kira’s house until the pack could come up with something to fix you. This also meant Kira had to come up with something to tell your family when you were a no show at home for nearly three days, “the drama club had a competition in Los Angeles—Y/n got the lead role in their production of ‘Wicked’ so she’s there right now.”

In return you always covered for her when she’d be with Scott. “I’ll be your scapegoat, Ki. Just tell them you’re going camping with my family this weekend. They’ll never know.” “You really underestimate how good my mom is at finding things out.” Sure enough, they got the truth pretty quick when Noshiko spotted your parents out to dinner the night ya’ll were ‘camping.’

You two will have girls nights with Malia and Lydia whenever y’all are in need of a break from the world. During the three month period between the shit with the beast and the Wild Hunt you four spent every penny you owned going to concerts, festivals, comic cons, and weekend trips to L.A or San Fran. As you can expect, the boys would get jealous.

When Kira decided to go with the skinwalkers you were devastated to say the least. It felt like a piece of you was missing with the absence of your best friend. But Kira made a promise to check in every once in a while and you’d be the first to know when she was coming back.

After all, there was nothing that could stop the pair of foxes when Beacon Hills was in need of saving.

Pairing: Malia Tate/Kira Yukimura Rating: General Words: 1628 Tags: Post-Canon, Post-Teen Wolf: The Movie (2023), Kira-centric, Kira Yukimura Returns, Derek Hale & Kira Yukimura Friendship, Angst with a Happy Ending Summary: Kira returns to Beacon Hills just in time to save Derek. With everyone alive and the Nogitsune gone, happy end is due, right? Well, Kira needs a bit more convincing to realize why she's come back at all. (Read it on AO3).

It doesn’t take long to understand the situation. It takes even less time to tackle Derek off the Nemeton.

She makes sure to stand guard around the tree stump with another, younger kitsune as Parrish’s arms wrap around the mutant evil spirit and they both go up in flames. The only thing left in the Nogitsune’s wake is silence and bad memories.

Then the illusion is gone and Kira can breathe again. They are all standing on a stadium field, safe, shaken and once again victorious, surrounded by friends she hasn’t seen in over a decade. It just figures that another life-and-death scenario would bring them back together.

“Dad!”

A werewolf boy barely in his teens rushes towards Derek and buries himself into his arms, and as Kira does a 360-degree turn, she notices that everyone's celebrating in varying forms of an embrace while she’s standing on the side. Alone.

A lean body sags onto hers suddenly and she startles by the unexpectedly tight hug. “You saved my dad,” The boy says against her shoulder, relief heavy in his voice. “Thank you.”

From a short distance, Derek smiles at her and walks closer to the pair. “Amazing timing,” He compliments.

Kira smiles but can’t help looking around and thinking: “Actually, I might be too late.”

Derek invites her to dinner as an expression of his gratitude and then follows up with a dozen ‘thanks yous’ throughout the evening. His son, Eli, has a million questions about the Skinwalkers and her powers and he breaks down crying halfway through. It’s a lot, but Kira still feels better on the drive home.

It’s definitely nicer than the nothing that follows.

For every single thing that hasn’t changed in Beacon Hills, there are at least three more that have. Derek, apparently, doesn’t know much about the others since most of them haven’t kept in touch after an allegedly glorious defeat against an army of hunters. Kira hasn’t been there for the war, but she supposes that the pack would have sought her out if she was truly needed.

Reuniting with Scott is awkward, seeing him hold hands with Allison is even more so. It’s not like Kira had much hope for her and Scott, but it still hurts. It doesn’t sting like a heartache but more like another proof that life went on without her.

She talks with Hikari and Liam before they leave for Japan because that’s their home now, not Beacon Hills. Kira has no idea where her home is anymore.

Half of her life has been dedicated to fighting for control with the Skinwalkers, so readjusting to the changes and modern life should be easy, and yet, Kira finds herself debating on a daily basis the idea of simply going back. What is keeping me here? - it’s a question that echoes too often in her head.

Derek is attentive, but more than that, he understands. He invites her over for more dinners and movie marathons (to help her “catch up on what she’s missed”, and he cringes right after saying it), and talks about his travels proceeding the events in Mexico. She realizes by the second-hour mark that the similarities of their experiences are overshadowed by their unbridgeable differences.

Because Derek returned when his friends were in need, but Kira didn’t.

He shows her the garage, the preserve and the school. Coach doesn’t recognize her but asks whether she’s good at lacrosse and if she would like to join, anyway. This leads to Kira practising with Eli on Mondays, since Derek claims he’s always been more gifted in basketball.

Kira knows what Derek’s doing, really, and she appreciates it. She just doesn’t know how to tell him that the issue isn’t with the place. It’s with her.

It’s 12:14 pm on a Friday when Kira walks into the auto shop. It’s been five weeks since her return and as she enters the shop (instead of waiting outside like usual), the realization hits her of how weird it is that she hasn’t talked to Malia in all that time.

“Hey,” Malia greets, like they've just spoken yesterday (they didn't, not in 14 years), kicking her feet off the counter and plucking the earbuds out of her ear.

Kira is ashamed that she can’t come up with a better reply than “Hi”, accompanied by a not-quite smile to make up for the lack of contact. Not that Malia couldn’t have reached out, Kira reminds herself, and feels a dull pang in her heart. It’s an everyday occurrence.

“What are you doing here?” Malia asks as she stands up, soft sweater bunching up at one of her sides. Derek’s been either rubbing off on her or pestering the woman into warmer clothes as the season turned chilly. It’s an adorable sight, nevertheless.

Kira looks behind herself, wondering for a moment if she should wait outside after all. Then she remembers Malia has always been confrontational and feels her nerves settle at the small glimpse of familiarity.

“Derek promised to buy me lunch,” Kira finally says, glancing around for good measure. Derek’s most likely in the back, though, immersed in grease and work.

Malia nods, looks away, pats down her jeans.

“What if I buy you lunch?”

The question catches Kira off guard and her wide eyes are probably telling since Malia immediately shoves her hands into her jeans and plunges into an explanation.

“Derek’s busy with a demanding asshole’s car and sitting here is getting seriously boring. So please? Put me out of my misery?”

Oh. Well. Kira can roll with that.

“Yeah, sure, if Derek doesn’t mind.”

“Wait here,” Malia instructs before disappearing through the backdoor. Three minutes later, Malia is back with car keys dangling from her fingers and a familiar-looking credit card in her hand. “He doesn’t mind. Now, let’s go. I’m fucking starving.”

The lunch is better than Kira expects. Malia's questions are straightforward but her answers to Kira’s inquires are equally frank. It’s refreshing to finally pour out all the feelings Kira's had bottled up for over a month now. It's also the first time she laughs honestly.

“We should meet up again,” Malia suggests while they're pulling up to Kira's home. Or, well, to her parents’ house.

“Yeah,” Kira agrees readily.

Then, she promptly forgets about wanting to leave for a full week.

“Don’t you want to have your own apartment?” Malia asks with her bare feet trudging in the shallow part of the lake.

Kira pulls her knees up to hug them closer as well as to support her chin as she shrugs noncommittally. “I haven’t thought about it yet.”

“Seriously?" Malia looks flummoxed. "Didn’t you make a comment about the absurdity of sleeping in your old bedroom? Right below your One Direction poster?"

Yeah, Kira spent an entire day mourning over that particular change.

“I know, I just never thought I would need a permanent place here.”

Malia freezes in the water at once and aimes her eyes at her submerged feet. Kira can't parse the emotion on her friend's face, and it makes the anxiety that she hasn't felt around Malia yet emerge with frightening intensity.

“You want to leave.”

There's no accusation behind the words but they aren't exactly warm in nature. Kira doesn't want to lie, not to Malia, so she settles on a shrug.

“But you just got back." And now the hurt is audible in Malia's voice.

“Why should I stay here?" Kira asks, pleading for her friend to understand. "Our friends aren’t here anymore, the pack isn’t here anymore, my life isn’t here-“

Kira bites her tongue. When she got back two months ago, she was filled with exhilaration to reunite with her family. Her mother made occasional visits to the Skinwalkers, but it was nothing compared to the almost forgotten scent of his father's cooking or the sound of her mother's singing as it floated through the house. There was no happier moment in Kira's life than when her mother had called about the Nogitsune's return and the Skinwalkers bid her farewell for good. Her training was over.

But Kira didn't live in Beacon Hills for long and she didn't have childhood memories to anchor her to the town. The only thing that was ever valuable in Beacon Hills were her friends and even they had left a long time ago. Kira has no reason to stay.

“I’m here,” Malia's words break through her thoughts, and Kira meets her eyes curiously.

“Why? What holds you back?”

Malia doesn't answer. She simply walks out of the lake and sits beside her in the grass. It's an unusually sunny day.

“Parrish?” Kira chances, and her heart soars when Malia shakes her head lightly.

“I guess... I was waiting for everyone to come back.”

Kira hasn't considered it yet - what it must have felt like to be left behind by all their friends. The worst is, though, that she doesn't remember if she ever said goodbye to Malia.

They listen to the forest while soaking in the pale light of the Sun, and at one point, Malia decides to lie down on her back and just watch the vagrant clouds as they swim past the treetops. Kira hasn't known this kind of peace in... 14 years.

“I guess..." Malia suddenly speaks, quieter but somehow braver, "I was waiting for you to come back.”

Kira looks at the other woman, at the challenge and hope in her eyes. At the evident fear that she bares open for only Kira to see.

She leans onto her side until she hovers above Malia, and slowly, tentatively, takes hold of her hand.

“Will you help me look for an apartment?”

Malia beams, and just like that, Kira no longer regrets coming back.

kira yukimura was born on july 12th, 1995 in new york city. she grew up in a loving and tight-knit family, deeply rooted in her japanese/korean heritage. kira's parents, ken and noshiko yukimura, were both well-versed in the ancient ways of the kitsune, a mythical fox spirit with shape-shifting abilities and powerful energy manipulation. this legacy would play a pivotal role in Kira's life. from a young age, kira was exposed to her family's mystical practices and teachings, as her parents worked diligently to pass down their kitsune knowledge. in 2011, kira's family uprooted their lives and moved to beacon hills where her father, ken, got a job as a history teacher at beacon hills high school.

kira's life took a dramatic turn when she moved to the town. she was a quiet, intelligent, and diligent student, often choosing to blend into the background. however, her ordinary façade concealed a unique and remarkable secret. kira was a thunder kitsune, a rare and powerful breed of kitsune with the ability to manipulate electricity and generate potent energy. her abilities were inherited from her mother's side, a lineage steeped in ancient kitsune magic.

it was at beacon hills high that kira first crossed paths with scott mccall, stiles stilinski, and the rest of the supernatural group. in her sophomore year, kira caught the attention of scott, and his friends when she accidentally displayed her electric powers during a lacrosse game. as kira became more involved with scott's group, she discovered the rich history of supernatural occurrences in beacon hills. her family's unique knowledge and her own kitsune abilities made her a valuable asset in facing the various supernatural threats that plagued the town, including alpha werewolves, ancient spirits, and malevolent kitsune.

Calm Down, Please

I wish people wouldn't jump to conclusions that Derek having a 15-year-old white son means that Braeden and he are broken up. It doesn't tell us much about the time frame either. It doesn't say anything about the writing either.

Alternatives other than Derek and Braeden are broken up:

1. Eli is Kate's child. (Ugh, but possible.)

2. Derek had sex with a woman during the six years between the Hale Fire and the beginning of Season 1.

3. Derek and Braeden adopted a child.

Considering that I don't think they're going to have Scott be in his early thirties, #2 is most likely the correct answer.

Jumping to conclusions is being pretty overly dramatic.

EVERYBODY LOVES DANNY

This is an exploration of the role Danny Mahealani played in Teen Wolf for the first four seasons. It was inspired by an anonymous correspondent who described him as a token. Danny was not a token. Instead, he was a foil for both Stiles and Allison, and his friendship with Jackson was a parallel with the friendship between Scott and Stiles and his romantic relationship with Ethan was a parallel with the romantic relationship between Allison and Isaac.

To me, a token character appears in a movie or story to serve one purpose and one purpose only: to be seen as what they represent. If Danny was the Token Gay Character, he would be on the screen only to be the object of Scott's accidental flirting or to serve as a sounding board for Stiles's insecurity or to remind the audience of Jackson's vanity. Once that purpose was served, he would vanish. Yet, effort was spent on Danny's his emotions and decisions concerning friendship, social status, and the supernatural. He is definitely a minor character, but he's certainly not a token. A token wouldn't be missed as badly as he was in Season 4. The obvious hole he left still puzzles people to this day.

In the first season, Danny's role serves as giving us a necessary look at how the rest of Beacon Hills High sees Scott McCall and Stiles Stilinski. He's not as intensely involved with Scott as Stiles, not as hostile as Jackson or Lydia, and he's not a new girl unsure of her footing like Allison. It is an absolutely necessary role to reinforce Scott's complaint of 'sitting on the sidelines.' Danny treats Scott with benign indifference, the way you would treat a nice kid in your science class to which you don't actually talk. Danny doesn't get Jackson's hostility to Scott's rise on the lacrosse team, and he verbally expresses it, but he's just happy to have another good player on the team that helps them reach the state championships. Danny tolerates Stiles because Scott is first line, and he's shocked by Scott's insistence on dancing with him at the Winter Formal, but he does dance with him, reluctant but not repulsed. Danny gives us the average student's view of Scott.

We also get the build up of Jackson's and Danny's friendship, which plays a much larger and more important role in Season 2. Jackson and Danny like each other as much as Scott and Stiles do, and there is a level of implied closeness matching each relationship. Danny can be just as sarcastic as Stiles toward Jackson, "If I come back and you're lying dead underneath a pile of weight, I'm taking the Porsche" and they discuss topics as sensitive as mutual sexual attraction and Danny is concerned because Jackson doesn't answer his texts for a week. The major difference is that Danny respects boundaries in a way that Stiles doesn't, and that is shown by the production -- regardless of my own personal taste -- as a detriment when Jackson decides to go after the bite and suffers the curse of the kanima. Stiles willingness to intrude on his friends life is shown as crucial in Scott overcoming not only his initial transformation but also his evolution into hero. To be fair, Jackson does not seek out Danny's help in the same way that Scott does to Stiles, which is also shown as a problem.

In Season 3, with Jackson's departure, Danny's focus shifts to Ethan, but he still serves as the same foil for Stiles and, now, Allison. No matter how talented the three of them are, no matter how much Danny is a survivor, they are still human in the world of the supernatural. Danny keeps his boundaries, so he's either a pawn of the alpha pack or a bystander to the action -- symbolized by him being present in the room when a chaos fly possesses Ethan and being unaware -- but on the other hand, he does survive and he does it with minimal trauma, not counting the Darach attack.

Stiles gets involved and stays involved, and he will have to deal with the consequences of the nogitsune possession for the rest of his life. Allison choose to become involved with werewolf, even knowing how dangerous in, and she gets involved and stays involved, and it costs her life. Danny chooses to become involved with a werewolf, it being revealed that he wasn't doing it ignorantly, but he keeps himself out of the action.

The audience noted Danny's absence in Season 4, precisely because he had become an important part of the story. He did have friendships, he was involved, but it also made sense that the characters wouldn't experience the same sense of absence, because Danny had drawn relatively firm boundaries around that involvement. He would be involved in things in his own terms.

The audience mourned his loss in Season 4, because of the Dead Pool plot, but I feel, that if we thinking about it enough, we should have mourned his loss in both Season 5 and Season 6. Danny's presence could have helped us understand Stiles's actions more effectively. They could have even had conversations about feelings of alienation between friends. Danny's presence could have been even more important in Season 6B, exploring how boundary setting is not the same as giving into fear.

A character with his much impact can hardly be classified as token.

Corey Bryant is a Hybrid Ghost Rider

This is for the Meta Monday: Monsters

I thought it would be obvious to the fan who is a casual observer, but there are many people who assume that Corey is a chameleon hybrid, but I don't think that's true. It's an understandable mistake, as several characters call him a chameleon, but as Season 5 and 6 goes on, we get more and more evidence that Corey's abilities aren't actual camouflage, but in reality the ability to shift matter into another dimension -- the Wild Hunt's dimension. Here are my arguments:

The shape he took reflected the person that he was. When the Doctors experimented on their chimeras, they often selected traits to graft onto others that coincided with their natures, in line with the oft-quoted supernatural principle. Tracy had traits of a kanima because, similarly to Jackson's impostor syndrome, her night terrors left her unsure of who she really was and what she was really doing. "She thinks she's asleep; she thinks she's dreaming." Hayden shared some qualities with Kate, though to a far less unhealthy degree, so she was grafted with traits of the nagual. "I'm not angry, Liam, I'm vengeful." Corey, similar to the Ghost Riders, was someone who felt that they could be in the center of the room and not be noticed. "My parents barely noticed the first time I died."

The Ghost Riders could project matter into another dimension, and Corey is able to perceive them and reverse it. While it seemed that Corey's major power was blending into his surroundings, he exhibited no other lizard-like traits. Instead, he was able to notice the Ghost Riders. He was able to locate the relic in the library. He was able to pull a Ghost Rider out of his dimension. In addition, the Surgeon, whose powers allowed him to perceive "frequency and vibration" was able to pierce Corey's invisibility without any difficulty on more than one occasion, even though they were abled to miss people hiding.

The Doctors had access to the "genetic" material of the ghost riders, due to the infected wound on Douglass. There was a whole sequence demonstrating that in Season 6A, when the lowenmench was hit by a whip and "infected" and then a shot when, after Douglas was placed in the tank, the greenish fluid was shown entering the tank.

Douglas himself immediately after acquiring the Outlaw's pineal gland, made capturing Corey his first target. He said "something I've been waiting to do a very long time" by which he meant turning the Wild Hunt into his army, and his next step was taking Corey. He also used Corey to bridge the Wild Hunt's dimension and Earth's dimension. He very specifically chose Corey, and it makes sense if Corey was, through the Doctors' science, part of both dimensions.

While people assumed from the start that he was a chameleon and several characters used that word to describe him, Teen Wolf often had people make mistakes in identification, and not only teenagers without occult training. Jackson passed Derek's test, and the pack assumed the Oni were going after only supernatural creatures.

When Disappointment is Not Disappointing

This is about Obi-Wan Kenobi, Episode 3:

When I first watched the fight, I was disappointed. It was clumsy. Awkward. Beautifully shot, but the fight was nothing compared to other light saber fights, and Darth Vader clearly letting Obi-Wan get away.

And then I suddenly smacked myself with the Clue Bat. Of course. That was the point.

Obi-Wan Kenobi has not wielded a light saber for maybe ten years. Both he and it have sat decaying in the desert. He doesn't sleep well, he has a mindless menial job where he must let cruelty happen on a daily basis, so he can go home where his only social interaction is being cheated by Jawas and emotionally flagellating himself by fixating on a ten-year-old boy that he can't even talk to.

He had to be asking himself -- what the hell am I even doing here. I told Bail I couldn't do this. I told him!

And then there's Darth Vader. He starts out killing innocents because that will make Obi-Wan come to him. Only it doesn't. What the hell is that? Then he draws his light saber and Obi-Wan runs. What the hell is this? He tried to provoke his old master with bullshit "I am what you made me" and "You should have killed me when you had the chance" and Obi-Wan doesn't lecture him about the Force. He doesn't say a single word! And then when they fight, he does it one-handed, and every ounce of Hayden Christensen's body language screams disappointment. What the hell is this?

Anakin Skywalker didn't spend ten years in the Imperial Brooding Chamber in his Castle Commemorating His Defeat on his Impressive Stone Throne of Angst, plotting his revenge like the Pettiest Most Dramatic Bitch in the Galaxy, for nothing.

This was supposed to be his Validation, and he ends up fighting a terrified hobo in a strip mine.

So, of course, he stops burning him. This isn't what he wanted at all. He lets Ben go, because maybe if he does so, the Force will stop yanking his chain and give him the round two he always wanted.

And the best part? It will. Deborah Chow has slowly, meticulously showed the re-emergence of General Kenobi, the best of the Jedi, poking through ten years of loneliness and mourning. It will come back, it will come out, but Darth Vader might not like the result.

Why?

"The Jedi Code is like an itch. He cannot help it!"

Talk shit, get kissed

As we know, Scott and Stiles are best friends, and they have been for a long time. It comes as no surprise then, as Scott and Kira are about to have their first child, that Stiles is gunning for favorite uncle.

There is just one problem. Kira’s best friend, Derek, who also wants the title. Cue in the beginning of a rivalry, truly one for the ages, as Stiles and Derek try to outdo each other to gain said child’s favor (read on ao3).

Some things are meant to be.

Unlocking the front gate of the white picket fence that runs around Scott’s house, Stiles grins at the sight of pastel balloons fluttering with the nice spring breeze. Matching bunting flags hang over the front door of the bungalow, and Kira steps out, holding her midriff with one hand. Pregnancy graced her with elegant curves, a white maternity dress flowing down her hips and legs, and Stiles hurries up the front porch to spare her the effort of coming down the stairs, wrapping her in a hug.

“I’m not impotent,” Kira protests, laughing.

“You are pregnant with my best mate’s first child, it is my responsibility to ensure your comfort and safety.”

Ever since meeting her, Stiles could tell Kira and Scott would end up together. A couple of years and an invitation to their baby shower later, they have yet to prove him wrong. Following Kira inside, Stiles peers at the decoration, a bunch of cardboard boxes piled together with pastel cut outs spelling “baby” points to a table where a few gifts await already. In the backyard, Melissa, Noshiko, Ken and Scott put the finishing touch to the coffee table holding most of the food, surrounded by comfy cushions.

Stiles catches sight of himself in the frames pinned to a nearby wall, a picture from back in high school, soon after Scott turned into a werewolf and Stiles helped him master his new abilities. They’re sweaty from lacrosse practice (well, mostly Stiles) and glaring at Jackson for making fun of one of them. Stiles can’t remember what the altercation was about. Next to the picture frame, another one stars Kira some time before finding out she was pregnant, in a Beacon Hills lacrosse team hoodie with her hands in her pockets as she gives a pep talk to the girls she coaches.

“The team came together to give us handmade clothes of various sizes since the little one will grow out of its wardrobe faster than we could ever imagine,” Kira says, smiling softly.

“That’s very thoughtful,” Stiles replies, nodding. “Which reminds me, I left my own gift in the Jeep, I’ll be right back!”

He rushes outside to grab the diaper cake in shades of white and gray, with a couple of surprises among the diapers to liven up the three tier compositions: a rabbit rattle, cotton bib and baby nappies. Shutting the door of the Jeep with a hip check, Stiles turns around just as a black Camaro comes up in front of the house. A moment later, a man and a woman step out in matching leather jackets, siblings by the look of it.

The woman, seemingly younger by a couple of years, wears her long brown hair down, straightened into an ink black, silk-like hairstyle to match her black lace dress. She reminds him eerily of Lydia, albeit more of a tomboy than Lydia could have ever been. Still, Stiles adjusts his flannel self-consciously, and wonders if skinny jeans were really an improvement from his high school days. Somehow, he gets the feeling both Lydia and this woman would disapprove.

“Do you think Braeden will be there?” the woman asks, and the man shrugs.

“If nothing comes up.”

As for the man — his expression inscrutable behind his aviator sunglasses — well Stiles sure hopes he’s invited to the baby shower, because it would be a shame not to get to know him better. He’s gorgeous. With a well-kept stubble and a soft looking sweatshirt, the man could pose for a fashion magazine, should anyone ask for Stiles’ opinion and to be fair, so could the woman.

He chews on some kind of gummy as they grab what looks like a stack of bedtime books wrapped in golden gift paper from the car boot, and they head into the house without sparing a glance for Stiles. He hurries after them nonetheless, using the opportunity to slip past the front gate while the man holds it open for the woman (Stiles really hopes they’re siblings).

“Got my hands full,” Stiles tells him, beaming. “Thanks!”

“No worries,” the man replies, a low baritone that he somehow expected to be deeper, if not hoarse.

“I don’t think we’ve ever met, I’m Stiles. Scott’s my best friend.”

“Derek,” comes the curt reply. “This is my sister Cora.”

Bingo, Stiles thinks privately.

“We went to school with Kira,” Cora supplies when her brother doesn’t elaborate.

They walk into the house with the introductions out of the way, and Kira gives a squeal of delight at the sight of the siblings, wrapping them both in a strong armed hug. She studied in New York throughout high school and college, when her parents moved to Beacon Hills as Ken started teaching history in high school. Kira spent Christmas in Beacon Hills that year, ran into Scott at the supermarket in some kind of rom-com meet-cute, and the rest is history.

“You’ve already met Stiles,” Kira says when Stiles tunes back to the conversation. “Derek and Cora are actually from Beacon Hills, although I doubt you guys met back then, before they moved to New York. I’m so glad you took this position at Beacon Hills Primary Cora, it will be so good to actually spend time together whenever we feel like it!”

“Yes, we’ll have so many friend dates!” Cora gushes.

“Are you moving back here as well?” Stiles asks Derek, jumping on the opportunity to chat him up.

“Yeah, we found apartments in the same building actually, we like to keep close to each other.”

“That’s sweet, you guys must get along very well,” Stiles replies easily.

Derek gives him an odd look then, as though he can’t quite figure out what Stiles’ deal is. Frowning, Stiles glances at Kira then, wondering if much like her, Derek and Cora are part of the supernatural. If so, do they know about Scott? Is Derek trying to guess Stiles’ nature? 147 pounds of pale skin and fragile human bone with sarcasm as his only defense, Stiles reminds everyone who will listen often enough, especially megalomaniac villains trying to take over Beacon Hills, and Isaac and Erica on many occasions.

Speaking of the devil, two blonde heads cross the threshold, Erica cocking her hip and Isaac with his hands in the back pockets of his jeans. Boyd comes up after them, the unshakable eye of the storm that make up the other betas. Stiles is not even kidding, they’ve been having less trouble in Beacon Hills since Isaac, Boyd and Erica’s reputation spread out of California.

Scott turned some kids in their grade back in high school when becoming a true alpha proved to be too much to handle for the makeshift pack he formed with Stiles and, from a distance, Melissa and the Sheriff. Curing Erica’s epilepsy and giving Isaac an out from his abusive home came as an unexpected turn of events none of them could find in themselves to regret.

“Hello there,” Erica purrs, flicking her blonde curls over her shoulder and instantly, everyone freezes.

Derek and Cora make faces at each other, their nostrils flaring to take in the scent of foreign werewolves, while Scott runs into the room to side with his betas, eyes flashing red. Derek’s own crimson pupils flare right back, and Stiles facepalms. With Kira standing in the middle, caught in the midst of burning red eyes like a deer in the headlights, it’s a disaster waiting to happen. She’s by no means defenseless, but it will be better, for everyone’s sake, if it doesn’t come down to an altercation. He takes it upon himself to diffuse the situation, flailing to become the center of attention.

“Cool, now that we have established that everyone is either supernatural or in the know, can we move on to the actual baby shower? No more pissing contests or whatever that was.”

“Don’t be bitter just because you can’t put out,” Isaac hollers, and Erica barks a laugh.

“Everything is ready,” Noshiko calls from the garden, blissfully unaware of the conversation.

Erica adjusts her see-through salmon blouse, floral patterns showing her midriff, and struts forward with one last leer at Derek. While she’s excellent at diffusing situations in her line of work — she’s a social worker —, Erica is hotheaded the rest of the time, and Isaac seems to compensate for his peaceful aura as a male midwife with a despicable amount of sass when off the clock. Only Boyd remains steady throughout, his button up shirt perfectly smooth over his muscular chest and arms.

Stiles sighs, gesturing at Erica to go first, and Cora huffs, following the blonde. Isaac and Boyd move with them, and Scott turns to Kira, helping her into the garden. Even in his jeans and stained shirt, he somehow makes for a picture perfect sight with the woman he loves as they step out and into the setting sun.

Left alone with Derek, Stiles hesitates, glancing anxiously at the other man. He opens his mouth, no doubt to say something incredibly dumb, only for the alpha werewolf to place a hand down the small of his back and lead him outside without a word, all the tension of the room falling over their shoulders.

“Your father called Stiles, he and Braeden won’t make it, something came up at the station,” Melissa tells him as he sits down next to her.

“It’s probably for the best, his diet can’t handle the bear shaped pancakes and honey lemonade.”

“You’re harsh,” Melissa replies, grinning.

“Just looking out for him!”

With everyone settled at the coffee table in the garden, they get started. Kira opens some of the smaller presents with Scott’s assistance, a monthly milestone blanket from Erica and a classy diaper bag from Isaac. From the look of Boyd’s gigantic package back inside, he built them a crib. Kira’s parents booked them a professional photoshoot session for after the baby’s birth, and Melissa put together a basket of baby-proofing necessities that makes everyone laugh.

“Childcare,” is all Derek says when his turn comes. “I can baby-sit whenever.”

Scott gives Kira his best confused puppy face and she giggles explaining, “Derek is a freelance translator, his schedule is very flexible at times. Thank you Derek, I really appreciate it.”

“And the best uncle award goes to…” Cora breathes out, miming a drumroll.

“I’ll be the baby’s favorite uncle!” Stiles protests half-heartedly.

Cora scoffs to hide her taunting, “Doubt that.”

“We couldn’t possibly choose the godfather and godmother,” Scott agrees, taking hold of Kira’s hand. “I’m sure you’ll all have your place in the baby’s heart.”

It sounds like a challenge if Stiles ever heard one. Glancing at Cora and Derek, looking ethereal in the golden glow of lightbulbs dangling over the coffee table to make up fairy lights as the evening darkens the sky, he is more than ready to prove himself.

And thus, the rivalry was born.

Caroline es rechazada por Stefan, pero se convierte en la amante de Damon, pero él no la ama. Damon lo utiliza en varias situaciones. Luego se enamora de Matt Donovan, el exnovio de Elena.

✘ Fue transformada en vampiro por Katherine. A partir de entonces tiene que adaptarse a la vida como vampira, siendo rechazada por todos en Mystic Falls, quien la acepta con dureza al cabo de un tiempo es su amiga Bonnie.

✘ Melissa tiene 17 años y vivía en Virginia con sus padres, hasta que un día su ex novio la convirtió en vampira. Repudiada por su padre tuvo que irse de casa, pero por suerte su madre, que aún la amaba, le dio una dirección en la ciudad de Bancon Hills, diciéndole a su hija que allí encontraría 2 primos Stefan y Damon Salvatore, sin saber quiénes eran. Fue a Bancon Hills, donde fue recibida por Stefan sin saber que es su primo.

✘ Abby Bennett Wilson es hija de Sheila Bennett y madre de Bonnie Bennett. Nació en el Hospital Mystic Falls, asistió a la escuela secundaria Mystic Falls y era la mejor amiga de Miranda Sommers y posiblemente de Kelly Donovan, junto con Liz Forbes.
