Trama: La serie televisiva RoOT è una storia originale basata sulle vicissitudini della coppia di giovani investigatori del manga RoOT/Route of OddTaxi, pubblicato sul sito web Darupanada Big Comic Superior. 🔶🔸SOUND! EUPHONIUM (Stagione 3) - Dal 7 aprile

Il magistrale musical drama di Kyoto Animation (Tsurune, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid), ispirato all'originale romanzo firmato Ayano Takeda, sta finalmente per tornare!

Le prime due stagioni dell'anime sono entrambe già su Crunchyroll, mentre il film spinoff intitolato Liz e l’Uccellino Azzurro è stato distribuito da Anime Factory, sia in streaming che in home video.

L'adattamento televisivo è diretto da Kazuya Miura (Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs, KanColle: See You Again on Another Quiet Blue Sea).

Trama: Nel tentativo di rompere una maledizione che affligge la sua casata, il principe Oscar inizia un viaggio che lo conduce da una potente e stupenda strega, Tinasha, e le chiede un accordo: un matrimonio. Confermato l'arrivo dell'attesa quinta stagione della popolare action sci-fantasy romcom tratta dalla novel di Koushi Tachibana.

Come vi avevo anticipato, sta venendo realizzata dallo studio Geek Toys (Migi & Dali, Dead Mount Death Play), sempre dietro alla regia di Jun Nakagawa (Date A Bullet, Date A Live IV). 

Vorrei potervi dire che ora è possibile fare un mega rewatch dall'inizio, ma in catalogo continuano ancora oggi a latitare le prime due stagioni della serie e i sottotitoli in italiano per tutto il resto, eccezion fatta per la quarta stagione... 🥲

Come era prevedibile, è arrivato con largo anticipo l'annuncio della trasmissione in simulcast della nuova serie action fantasy firmata dall'autore di DanMachi.

Con un epico primo teaser è stato annunciato ufficialmente che il manga, firmato da , ispirerà una serie il cui debutto è fissato per luglio.

L'adattamento del manga creato da Fujino Omori, assieme a Toshi Aoi, è affidato ad Actas (Princess Principal, Girls und Panzer) e Bandai Namco Pictures (Malevolent Spirits: Mononogatari, Welcome to Demon School! Iruma-kun).

La serie è scritta e diretta da Tatsuya Yoshihara (Black Clover, Monster Musume: Everyday Life with Monster Girls).

Trama: Uno stacanovista ragazzo chiamato Will si iscrive in un'accademia di magia perché vuole diventare un grande stregone. 🔶🔸A JOURNEY THROUGH ANOTHER WORLD: RAISING KIDS WHILE ADVENTURING - Da luglio

Gli annunci si chiudono, per ora, con la serie dell'isekai fantasy slice of life comedy di Shizuru Minazuki.

A portare la storia della light novel in tv troviamo Atsushi Nigorikawa (Beast Tamer, Genie Family - Il ritorno del Mago Pancione), che sta dirigendo il progetto presso lo studio EMT Squared (Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear, Fluffy Paradise), ormai specializzato in pucciosità seriale!

Trama: Kayano Takumi viene ucciso casualmente da un dio e si reincarna. Gli vengono concesse molte abilità e si ritrova in una pericolosa foresta infestata da mostri in un altro mondo. Nel fitto della foresta, Takumi incontra una ragazzina e un ragazzino che gli ricordano i suoi due gemelli, decide così di prendersi cura di loro e li chiama Allen ed Elena. Sorpreso della facilità con cui sconfiggono i mostri con le loro abilità combattive, Takumi va in città e si registra nella gilda degli avventurieri, per poterli crescere. Iniziano così le sue tranquille avventure, mentre guarda Allen ed Elena che crescono!

Though the light novel was initially published in 2019, the web novel that the series is based on began being published online in 2012 and you can kind of tell. Not much was changed in the transition from web novel to light novel and it just feels like a series that would have been written in 2012 as opposed to 2019. It just doesn’t feel like the kind of thing that would get written and published in 2019. I wish it had been edited more as I think it would have been a much better volume if it had.

Given that this is one of the more popular new series of 2019 (and it even placed 1st in the novels section of KonoRano 2020), I was excited to read it but, alas, it was too focused on the romance aspect for my taste and I found the characters too OP to be very relatable or memorable. I also couldn’t get past a certain aspect of the relationship between the two leads that really put me off from enjoying seeing their relationship develop. Still, the plot itself was interesting and I wouldn’t mind reading another volume eventually but it probably won’t be any time soon. At the end of the day, it’s not the worst thing I’ve read but I don’t quite see what other people see in it. Recommended for fans of romance set in a fantasy world.

Story:

15 years ago, a certain royal bloodline was cursed by a witch. The curse prevented any members of the royal family from having more children. Oscar was only 5 at the time. Now at the age of 20, he must find a way to continue the bloodline. For this purpose, he searches for the Witch of the Blue Moon, who tells him that a curse is not an easy thing to break. However, if he was to find a mother who was able to bear the magic of the curse, then he wouldn’t need to break the curse at all. Hearing that, he proposes to the witch on the spot. She refuses him but he doesn’t give up.

First off, this series is a bit oddly written in that it feels more like a Western fantasy series with regards to writing style and structure. It’s hard to explain, exactly, but it’s in the way that the dialouges are structured. This took a while to get used to but it ends up working really well and helps make the series stand out. 

The story is largely focused on the relationship between the two leads. Every event feels like it is used to further their relationship in some way. While I didn’t really care for their relationship, the events used to further their relationship were interesting. There are a number of problems that the two must solve and it’s fun getting to see glimpses of Tinasha’s past.

As for the relationship between Oscar and Tinasha... They’re equals, for the most part, but I couldn’t get past how Oscar refuses to listen to Tinasha when she rejects him. He persists in his desire to wed her and it’s unpleasant. There’s one scene in particular where he refuses to take no for an answer and it pissed me off so much. Unfortunately, most of the volume is focused on their relationship so this really put a drag on my enjoyment of the other elements in this volume, like the story and Tinasha’s character development. I have a feeling that this won’t annoy most people as much as it annoyed me though.

Character:

One of the more interesting things about this series is the age of it’s leads. Oscar is 20 years old and Tinasha does have the usual fantasy thing of actually being hundreds of years old but she looks around 20 which is kind of rare in a fantasy series like this. So that’s pretty cool and the two leads are fairly likeable but I found them to be a bit too perfect to really find them very memorable. They don’t feel like they have any weaknesses and it makes them hard to relate to. There is some potential with regards to Tinasha’s character development and it’s fun to see glimpses of her life before the start of the story but Oscar feels especially flat. He’s too strong and he’s boring as a result. I don’t care much for the side characters either. Tinasha does form some relationships with other female characters but those characters don’t have much of a personality so their scenes aren’t very entertaining to watch, though I do have a soft spot for Lucrezia, another witch.

Recommended for:

People who want to read a standard fantasy series with a romance element, especially for those who would like to read a romance between adults.

I may read the second volume in the future, if I’m motivated enough, but it’s not a high priority right now. Next up is Sekai no Owari no Encore 5

Annunciato da Kadokawa, già con un primo teaser e tutti i dettagli di rito, l'arrivo nel corso del 2023 di una serie animata basata sull'adventure fantasy romance novel di Kuji Furumiya, intitolata "UNNAMED MEMORY".

La voce di Tinasha, che sentiamo nel video, è quella di Atsumi Tanezaki (Chise Hatori in The Ancient Magus' Bride), mentre per quanto riguarda Oscar, a doppiarlo sarà Yoshiki Nakajima (Licht Bach in Plunderer).

In produzione presso lo studio ENGI (Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai!, La novella alchimista apre bottega), l'anime è diretto da Kazuya Miura (Trapped in a Dating Sim: The World of Otome Games is Tough for Mobs, KanColle: See You Again on Another Quiet Blue Sea) e sceneggiato da Deko Akao (Komi Can't Communicate, The Case Study of Vanitas).

Il character design è curato da Chika Nomi (KanColle: See You Again on Another Quiet Blue Sea, Kemono Michi: Rise Up), mentre le musiche sono realizzate da Akito Matsuda (Sound! Euphonium, Liz e l'uccellino azzurro).

Le streghe: maghe secolari che comandano un potere tanto immenso da portare alla catastrofe. Oscar è il principe ereditario del potente regno di Farsas. Da piccolo è stato maledetto ed è destinato a non poter mai generare un erede. Nella speranza di spezzare il maleficio, cerca Tinasha, la strega più potente del continente. Per incontrarla, si arrampica sulla sua torre, poiché si dice che lei esaudisca i desideri di chiunque riesca nell'impresa. Lanciata online nel 2012, la light novel è stata pubblicata da Kadokawa, con le illustrazioni di Chibi, solamente a partire dal 2019. La storia si è conclusa con il 6° volume, ma ne esistono altri due ambientati dopo l'epilogo.

Dal 2020 ne viene serializzata una versione manga disegnata da Naoki Etsumi, giunta a quota 4 volumetti.
