5 times Sonny tried to propose

Sonny Carisi knew he wanted to marry you within a month of knowing you. Your first date was adorably perfect, ending with the most tender of kisses, a week full of texting and midnight phone calls before your next one, your schedules were a little wonky due to his detective work and your work as a nurse.

It’s not long after that his phone goes off again, Liv calling the squad in to help out on the law side of things. He leaves dinner in the oven (turned off of course) and scrambles to get rid of all the rose petals. He ends up sleeping at the precinct that night. When you finally collapse into bed you find a solo petal half shoved under the pillow and are confused, but toss it aside and completely forget.

The second time he tried was Christmas. He kept glaring at Bella for constantly dropping hints, asking you about wedding dresses, venues, what your dream ceremony would be like, she even had you on Pinterest oo-ing and aweing over things, but you figured she just wanted your opinion on her own upcoming nuptials. Finally, you had a moment to escape, a moment to yourselves as everyone gathered in the living room for presents and christmas movies. Sonny pulled you out onto the back porch where the snow was gently falling and everything seemed perfect. The third time Sonny manages to actually get Valentine’s Day off work, he’s elated when you’re 100% off guaranteed no call ins and books a reservation at the expensive, romantic Italian restaurant you shared your first date at. You’re so smitten in love with each other and look just like the rest of the love sick couples in the joint as you share appetizers and sip at pricy wine. An eruption of squeals and small applause disrupts your evening, glancing across the restaurant, you witness a couple with the man down on his knee and the girl in tears. First Sonny huff’s in annoyance at the idea of a proposal being in your head now, he then pales at the way you scoff, rolling your eyes and mentioning how cringe worthy it is when people propose on valentines. You joke that you’re so happy he knows you better and would never do such a thing, kissing his cheek softly. He’s more glad than ever in that moment that the ring was waiting at home and he hadn’t been dumb enough to have a waiter put it in the dessert or anything.

Sonny’s basically given up at this point, every time he tries to put any amount of effort in, it gets thwarted. Even regular date night at this point seem to get ruined by work, but you’re happier than ever just to return to your shared apartment and get to snuggle up with him at the end of the day and know that he loves you. It’s a warm spring day, you let him sleep in a bit while you made a simple breakfast, the smell of coffee and the fresh air flowing through the apartment rousing him from his sleep.

You kiss him on the cheek, murmuring out a good morning and an I love you, sliding him his coffee, served perfectly how he likes it and he smiles at the utter domesticity of the entire thing, watching you plate up fruity pancakes and bacon. While he’s practically scarfing down the food he can feel your eyes on him, pausing to glance up, asking you what.

In truth, you can’t help but stare at him, the sun’s streaking through the room, highlighting the silvery of his hair that you love so much, making those baby blue eyes shine brighter than ever. And in that moment you can’t think of anything but the love you hold for your boyfriend.

“Nothin.” You reply, taking a small sip of coffee, “just thinkin’ about how much I wanna marry you. Feels kinda lame to say it here…and untraditional…I don’t have a ring or anything, but if you’d marry me, I’d be the happiest woman in the world.”

Sonny just about breaks his face with how big he’s smiling, stumbling off the kitchen stool, and your instantly confused, calling after him as he races down the hall, you’re worried you’ve freaked him out, or he ate too much too fast. You’re pleasantly surprised when he returns with a small box, saying he wants nothing more than to be your husband.

The day ends in happy tears, a lot of laughter, sore sides from laughing over how many times the two of you were too blinded by love to even realize the other was trying to ask.

Sonny had just stepped off the elevator on his floor, his detective instincts still turned on for the day since he had barely made it to his apartment door. Something was definitely burning, and after a brief pause he could hear the beeping of a smoke alarm going off a few doors down. He jogged the few steps to the offending door, knocking louder than he originally intended. He heard a scuffling inside for a few seconds, the sound of a patio door being slid open before the door got pulled open. Your eyes flashed to his badge, your frazzled brain not completely realizing the situation.

“Oh fuck, someone called the cops!?”

“Nah.” He chuckled, a grin spreading across his face as you glanced up to it.

“Wait…you live down the hall…Sonny, right?”

“Yeah. Hate ta admit I don’t think I ever got your name, I just know ya have that adorable cocker spaniel.” His head glanced around the apartment briefly, searching for the dog. He had to admit, the excuse of getting to pet/talk to the pup was always a more than welcome excuse to share a few words with you when you ran into each other in the hallway or shared an elevator. He’d always thought you were cute, he just never seemed to have the ideal time to step in and properly introduce himself and a little flirtation.

“Oh,” you laughed, “she’s not mine, I just walk Pepper for Ms Harrison once it’s too cold or icy, she’s got a bad hip. “Aside from my disastrous life, no.”

Chuckling, he easily reached up to the ceiling, popping the detector off its base and plucking the battery out, relieving both of your ears of the horrendous noise while the remaining bits of smoke were sucked out the balcony door.

“There. Just make sure ta put the battery back in once the room’s cleared.”

“I had music going while I was getting ready, I didn’t hear the timer and…” your hand swung towards the stove, where your sweet potato casserole seemed fine except for the completely blackened marshmallows on top. “I’m supposed to be at my sister’s place in twenty minutes, there’s no way I’ll have time to remake it.” Surprisingly to you, Sonny moved into the kitchen, picking at one of the crispy marshmallows, he grabbed a spoon sitting on the counter and easily scooped a few off, dropping them onto a paper towel.

“This is totally salvageable! Do ya have more marshmallows?”

“Yeah.” You glanced at your watch, “I just don’t think I’ve got time to bake it again, besides, then the sweet potato’ll be overcooked.”

“Just trust me…okay?” He grinned at you and you practically swooned, “grab a spoon.” The two of you delicately scooped up all the burnt treats off the top of the dish, picking out any black flakes that dropped into the casserole. “There, see? Just like new.” You felt your cheeks heat again at the smile he gave you, suddenly aware of how close you were to each other. “Put a fresh layer of marshmallows on, I’ll be right back!”

“What? Sonny!” Before the words were even out of your mouth he was through the door, knowing you were in a time crunch.

You gave a sigh, if everything went horribly with dinner you’d at least be able to say you had a prolonged interaction with your super cute neighbour. You grabbed the bag of marshmallows from the cupboard, daintily placing them along the top of the casserole, praying whatever Sonny had in mind would work out. He shortly ducked through the door, right as your plopped the last marshmallow into its place.

“Is that a blow torch? Are you sure that’s a good idea?” He laughed at your question.

“It’s a butane torch, it’s the same thing they use on crème brûlée’s.”

“What? You a pastry chef when you’re not busy arresting crooks? Or do you have some weird pyromaniac kink I should be worried about?” Sonny let out a bark of a laugh at your teasing.

“I like ta dabble with things in the kitchen, took a few fine dining cookin’ classes over the years. Just somethin’ different than every day life.” He fired up the torch, carefully and slowly going over the top layer of the dish, successfully browning the marshmallows to a perfect golden without over cooking the lower layers.

“You are a life saver!!” You beamed over at him as he flicked off the torch, “thank you so much! Seriously…you just made my night one hell of a lot better.”

“No problem.” He shot you a grin, “now you’re free to head downstairs an’ meet whatever date I’m sure is waiting for you.”

“Sonny,” you snorted, “I told you I’m going to my sisters, the only date that’s going to come up is the fact that I don’t have one.”

“Oh…I guess I just…assumed..” he gestured toward your appearance, causing you to laugh.

“A girl can’t feel festive over the holidays?” You teased, “But no…I am…single as they come…” your phone buzzed, interrupting any further flirtation you were able to indulge in, “that’s my ride, I’ve gotta get going.” You quickly wrapped saran over the top of the dish, grabbing your keys as you shoved your phone into your purse. “Thank you….really.” You squeezed Sonny’s hand and gave him a soft smile that he nearly melted into before jumping back into go mode.

“Hey, let me put this back up for ya, so you don’t hafta drag a chair over.” His hands grabbed the smoke detector as you crossed the room to close and latch the balcony door.

In die Dritte Sendung von "Rosi frech, frei und frivol" hat sich die Moderatorin die Buchautorin des Buches "Big Big Love", Saskia Schulte alias Sassy Vanderwitz, eingeladen. Bei diesem erotischen Buch für Frauen geht es richtig zur Sache und es werden die Dinge beim Namen genannt - so wie es auch im Interview geschieht, das am Ende des Textbeitrages zu sehen ist. Saskia Schulte spricht darin außerdem über ihre weiteren Pläne und ihre speziellen Lesungen mit dem Motto "Lesung trifft Stand-up-Comedy - Erotik trifft Humor". Cover des Buches "Big Big Love" von Sassy Vanderwitz Die lockere Art im Schreibstil der Wuppertaler Autorin, die sich selbst als Text-Prostituierte und Poetry-Schlampe bezeichnet, ist auch während des ganzen Interviews zu spüren. So ist das Buch "Big Big Love: Ein Roman über Liebe und nackte Tatsachen" zwar pornografisch geschrieben, aber in keiner Weise abwertend, was für Saskia Schulte von großer Bedeutung ist, wie sie im Interview erzählt. Es soll den Frauen als Anregung dienen ihre Sexualität frei auszuleben. Es geht dabei auch nicht darum, wie man aussieht, denn wenn der Partner passt, finde der Sex nicht nur mit den Augen statt, sondern mit dem ganzen Körper. Dies bedeutet zu seinem Körper zu stehen, was heutzutage jedoch den Frauen durch die vermeintlich in den Medien gezeigten Idealbilder scheinbar schwer fällt. Deshalb kann gerade hier das realistisch-ironisch und hinreißend farbenfroh geschriebene Buch eine Möglichkeit sein diese Hürde zu überwinden. "Big Big Love" ist die Neuauflage des Romans "Love & Sex in XXL". Saskia Schulte hatte diesen noch unter dem Pseudonym Isabella R. herausgegeben, was dem Namen der Hauptdarstellerin des Buches entspricht. Die Romanfigur Isabella, ist ein Großstadtsingle mit Rubensfigur auf der Suche nach der großen Liebe – und dem richtig guten Sex. Sie entdeckt die Partnersuche im Internet und erlebt Leidenschaft hautnah. Die Autorin sagt auf die Frage, ob es sich hierbei ausschließlich um eigene Erlebnisse handelt, dass sie sich zwar mit dem Buch sozusagen einen Teil von der Seele geschrieben hat, aber genauso auch Erzählungen von Bekannten mit eingeflossen sind, die sie dann sozusagen in eine Romanform gegossen hat. Es war ihr dabei wichtig zu zeigen, dass es möglich ist ohne Bewertung die Lust zu genießen und das, was gewesen ist, hinter sich zu lassen. Es gibt so viel für die Frauen zu erleben, was sie sich gönnen sollen, ohne gleich alles zu hinterfragen, was natürlich auch für den jeweiligen Partner gelten sollte. Aufgrund der positiven Resonanz der Leserschaft überlegt die Wuppertalerin eine Fortsetzung zu schreiben. Wer das Buch schon gelesen hat und nicht bis zur Fortsetzung warten möchte, kann Saskia Schulte bereits jetzt bei ihren ungewöhnlichen Lesungen, die mit viel Comedy aufgelockert sind, da Lachen für die Autorin zum Sex dazu gehört, "Live" erleben. So wird Ihre außergewöhnliche Lesung unter anderem mit folgendem Text beworben: "Lesung trifft Stand-up-Comedy. Erotik trifft Humor. Hauptfigur Isabella trifft auf Ralf, Alexander, Rita und viele andere. Einige von ihnen reden nur. Andere ziehen sich auch aus. Für die Autorin, Kolumnistin und fürchterlich lustige Person Sassy Vanderwitz entbrannte aus dieser Geschichte eine 224 Seiten währende Leidenschaft. Because that’s how it started — wasn’t it? Remarks exchanged on the beaches of Normandy. The one who was able to keep up with her better than most, who liked her fire rather than trying to snuff it out. ( And yet she stamps them out, and she denies him, and at the end of the War it’s two very lonely train cars taking them to opposite ends of the Coast )

Lonely beds, a smirk that lingers in her dreams, a laugh, body heat, stolen kisses — all the things she aches for. Closing her eyes in a lonely Brooklyn apartment and opening them in that tent, near that beach, on that damned cot.

Maybe it’s fate that gives her this second chance, at the beginning again, at the place that started it all. And Rita hasn’t been given many second chances. And he loved her once, at least, she’s pretty certain it was love — could he love her again? She hopes so.

Maybe she can change to phrase to “second time’s the charm.”

“Fucking shit.”

“Over there!”

Rita rushes down the sidewalk towards the bus stop, ducking under the awning with Joe right behind her. They were both effectively soaked — if they continued to make their way to Rita’s apartment, they’d probably end up effectively waterlogged. She sighs, reaching up to wring out her hair a little bit, if only to give herself some form of reprieve. Joe whistles lowly, drowned out a little by the drops rattling against the roof.

“S’really coming down, huh?” Rita nods, looking at her pruney fingers.

“Yeah. Summer storms’ll do that. Daisy warned me to take an umbrella.”

He presses his lips into a line at her flippantness. If she was being completely honest — she’d been waiting for him to snap on her since he showed up at the office without warning. And it made sense why Daisy tried to call her, he probably stopped at the apartment first and knowing her friend, she wasn’t going to lie to him about her whereabouts. It wasn’t like it was a secret that they lived together — she just… never picked up the phone, avoided it when she knew he was on the other line.

“So how’ve you been?” he asks, continuously looking out at the shower. “Haven’t heard from you in a while.” She recognizes the tone, the sarcasm laced in it, the tongue in his cheek. She balls her hands into fists.

“Don’t do that.” Rita grits her teeth as he looks at her.

“Do what?” His brows furrow, lips pulling into a proper frown.

“That. Getting all catty. Just call me a bitch and a whore and get it over with so we can go back and play nice for Daisy’s sake.” Joe scoffs, walking to one side of the awning and back as he runs his fingers through his wet hair.

“You really think I crossed the entire goddamn country just to call you fucking names?!” He asks incredulously

Rita mimics his scoff, folding her arms over her chest.

“Th’hell am I supposed to think?! I didn’t ask you to come all this way, you did that on your own!” She snaps, her voice rising over the pounding of the rain, arms wrapping around herself in a hug to stave off the chill of rainwater running down her back.

“What else was I supposed to do?!” Joe matches her volume, gaping at her statement as though she has three heads.

“Never see me again!”

“Is that it? You never want to see me again, Rita?” She laughs bitterly, looking down but not faltering.

“Of course not.” He leans down to look her in the eye.

“Then why did you leave me?”

“Cause I had nothing to offer you, Joe!” She snaps, whipping her head up to look at him again. His jaw is clenched, his entire body rigid and eyes pleading. Her lip wobbles and she swallows the lump forming in her throat. “The war was one thing — but did you really want to bring home a girl who’s own parents didn’t even want her? I left Europe with nothing. Hell, even living together was Daisy’s idea. She kept me off the streets when I came back.” Her voice trembles in a way that she hates, and she hugs herself a little tighter. He reaches up, a cold hand pressing against her cheek.

“That’s not who I was bringing home,” He argues with a shake of his head. “I wanted to bring home the woman that kept my head screwed on straight in all of Holland. The only one I was thinkin’ about in Bastogne,” his thumb rubs small circles into her cheek, goosebumps rise on her skin. “You never had to give me anything. Ever. I only wanted you. I fuckin’ missed you, Dee.”

In spite of herself, she smiles at his honesty, leaning into the welcomed chill of his hand and sniffling. She isn’t sure if it’s from the emotions threatening to spill over, or if it’s the early onset of a cold. It might very well be the latter.

“You said wanted.” She points out, softly. His lips curl into a smile, a bit wolfish, but also holding the same kind of tender sincerity he looked at her with at several points in Europe. With the rain beating on the awning like a drum, drowning out their conversation from the rest of the world, he says only one thing in reply.

“I crossed the entire fuckin’ country to see you and you think I don’t still want you?”

some fun with a rita x Joe modern au setting because they are my beloveds who like to bicker in shopping malls. patty's a veterinarian in this au for a little bit more context. send me a holiday prompt from this list!

“Rita—”

“No.”

Rita watches as Joe narrows his eyes at her as they walk. The mall is always busy this time of year and she wanted to do some last minute shopping before a few of their friends came down for the holidays; Web and his wife, and Patty.

“You didn’t even know what I was going to say!” Joe declares, and to that, Rita bites her lower lip to suppress the knowing smirk begging to be seen on her face.

“Didn’t need to, we just passed PetCo.”

This was the new debate, it seemed. They visited Daisy and Ron back in May for her friend’s birthday, only to be met with two small poodles with coppery brown coats. Two gifts from Ron’s birthday the month before, funnily enough. Joe couldn’t get enough of them, they nibbled on his fingers and climbed in his lap — sniffing and licking him all over. He couldn’t get enough of them, and ever since then he’d been not so subtly suggesting that they also get a dog of their own.

“So now we’re assuming things?” He puts a hand over his heart, slightly melodramatic, and she rolls her eyes at her boyfriend’s theatrics.

“Okay, look me in the eye right now and tell me you weren’t gonna bring up a puppy again,” And sure enough, Joe looks her in the eye as they pause — but he doesn’t say anything. What he does do, is pucker his already slightly-pouty lips, folding his arms across his chest. She arches an eyebrow, and he mimics the movement. “So no, we’re not getting a puppy for Christmas. Stop. Asking,” He continues to remain silent, staring at her and mimicking her posture. They stand like that for a few more stubborn seconds, before she unfolds her own arms with a roll of her eyes.

“We can do this all day, mi vida, or we can finish this up and go home.” Rita declares, reaching to grab one of his hands that had been tucked into his arm.

“Y’know, you’re a real proper Scrooge,” he draws out, but still laces their fingers as she continues to walk. She rolls her eyes.

“Didn’t know you were into that kinda thing. Should I buy a striped nightcap while we’re here? I could wear it in bed if that’s your thing.” To that, he gets an almost Cheshire cat-like grin on his face.

“I might have to hold you to that.” Rita snorts at his response, shaking her head and muttering a quiet but affectionate ‘weirdo’ under her breath. His smile becomes a smidge softer at that, and she doesn’t miss the way his eyes glance back to the window store.

So when Patricia Kegley walks through their door about two weeks later, with a very wiggly box and a note attached saying ‘Now please stop asking for a puppy, mi amor’ — both the beagle puppy with a bright red bow and Rita get an equal amount of kisses on the face from Joe, who’s beaming like he just won the lottery.

“Have I told you that you’re amazing?” he mutters against her cheek. Rita grins a little wider.

“At least three times a day, but it wouldn’t hurt to hear it again.”

3 ) In case of an artist who receive votes mostly by a fan base, we will count only one song, in a limited time of 4 weeks of presence in the top.

4 ) You can vote with only one account.

5 ) If you make 5 votes or less, your first vote will represent 5 points, your second vote 4 points, etc… until your last vote and following 1 point. GAY MUSIC CHART - 2018 week 24

After two weeks of experimentation, the Gay Music Chart returns to a TOP 50. The TOP 60’s experience wasn’t satisfactory, due to bad audiences (because of too long videos) and too much work (we don’t have the time to make it). For the moment, we suspended in the process of the chart our own ranking. That’s why there are so few entries since two weeks. Let’s see if the chart is still relevant only with viewers’s votes and views on our playlist. We hope that there will have diversity. If this is not the case, we will probably make adjustments.
