Modern au comics again!! lessgooo!!! first three were done along with that meursault bartender identity post and i was just lazy to translate them, the rest are todays catch

i've already mentioned that ishy really hates most things marine in this au and refuses to cook it in her bar, so that's what the chippy (fish and chips) page is about; the rest is just her getting to know heathcliff. meursault is noticeably speaking up more often in contrast to canon (but i guess he'll warm up there eventually too) for example explaining to ishy who's that bastard with a beer.

funny side note, ishmael calls meursault "d" and it's an inner joke of mine that demian somehow grew up to be meursault. that's the last name after all, his first one might me demian or the french damian yeah. it has little to no ground to stand on but i just like joking around that thing and since in this au meursault's first name is also unknown to most people, there's just a couple of them knowing and using it. one being his boss and even she's not using the full form and prefers the first letter, probably finding it endearing

So me and some friends had this idea of a Limbus Company AU with some secondary characters of the books, we call it Alt Limbus because we are very creative.

Sinners as Slugcats, entry 1

LC-13, also known as Gregor:

"a physically enhanced slugcat, bearing insect-like augmentations, once belonging to an iterator simply known as "Mother" from a now extinct local group that researched artificial Ascension."

HI HELLO UHHH I ASKED TWITTER IF THEY WANTED ME TO SCUGIFY THE SINNERS OR THROW THE SCUGS INTO THE MAGIC SCHOOLBUS AND THEY PICKED THE FIRST THING SO HERE WE ARE!! no they won't be in order and they'll be sketches done in my free time lmao

info i brainstormed:

-strictly carnivorous; blue fruits in particular deplete food pips for him

-successful case of the combination between a slugcat and the dna of nearly all available insects; centipedes, spiders and dropwigs

-LC-13 can change parts of his body into whatever he may need at the moment (energy and matter conservation and whatnot), but when he's extreme distress, he has no control over the transformations

-has a similar mechanic to mauling; he can latch onto creatures with his mandibles and shock them with his centipede-like tongue, dealing some damage and stunning them

-the "whiskers" can transform into extra arm-like appendages that help him climb poles

-the arm is not a physical augmentation, but a prosthetic; he holds the least amount of control over it and can attack on its own when he is distressed

-due to his arm, his climbing speed is very slow and he cannot wield spears, but he can use his arm to impale creatures

-iterator hermann's name is probs "rewriting progression" or smth idk yet. she has a butterfly motif to make her look disarming and to contrast gregor. she specialized in creating genetically enhanced insectile slugcats as bioweapons to fare war with a neighboring local group, but LC-13 has been her most stable chimera so far (and her prized possession). her and her local group's cans all succumbed but thanks to her investing in a mobile puppet she settled into another can of yet another local group that allowed her in (n corp basically)

-scug gregor chews on batnip instead of smoking in this au, i hc that it's not edible to slugcats and it can actually be harmful on the long run

Ok so remember how i talked about that modern meurcliff AU where Meursault is the bartender swinging around a stool right? Here's more.

A couple of words for context: so Meursault is indeed the bartender and Ishmael is his superior and the bar's owner and also the cook in said bar. Like, you can not only order drinks but also some snacks along with it with the exception of sea food - the only ones you can get are those you don't need to cook, like dried squid and that sorta stuff (even though she's at odds with those too but tolerates them). She's also infinitely lonely and traumatized by her past experience as she lost a lot of friends and colleagues when the ship she worked at sank, leaving little survivors behind.

Sometimes she asks Meursault to sing something for her and he obeys. There's a piano in the bar and he sometimes also plays for guests but most of them note how soulless his music may sound even though he's just rehearsing what he learned. For Ishmael though, it's a refreshing thing like putting your head in the freezer and trying to calm your thoughts because they're not going anywhere simply because music feels sobering. So she does sometimes go out of her usual detachment like the first pic shows.

Of Ryoshu and Greg there's not much to say now (the AU's pretty new haha its like a draft yet) but they're basically the tattoo master plus florist pair. Not romantically though, they're pals but their shops are still next to each other. Usually their interaction is to borrow sigarettes from each other at the end of the day, but on a serious note Gregor's getting a tattoo removed at her shop - something from his good hand, a tattoo that was forced onto him in unknown circumstances but Ryoshu doesn't ask and just does what she can as a master. The first thing she suggested though was to get rid of that arm and get the second bionic one but Greg politely refused. Ryoshu by the way despite being a tattoo master has no tattoos yet - she's still in search of a perfect art piece that she can engrave upon her own skin.

some info on the latest AU of the Doors ocs Licht-Hex and I have built (feel free to scroll past the yapping if u want to lol)

In this AU, after Samuel and Eve escape the Hawthorne Inn they find themselves in a completely different universe (PM universe yayyy). Samuel is found first, and becomes a sinner. Eve is found after and also becomes a sinner. They aren't permitted to/don't tell much about their past to the other sinners and the fact that they are quite literally from a whole other universe LMAO

here's some more info about LC!Eve :)

wrath and pride are her main affinities

she uses a net and trident in reference to her manipulative tendencies. First she catches you in a web of lies (net) and stabs you in the back when you don't expect it (trident), or she gets you hook, line, and sinker

her room on the bus is her personal room within the hotel, however it is frozen in time as her room post religious breakdown. I really want to draw it sometime. It was incredibly triggering for her to enter for the first time (and I have done writing for this >:] - which I might link later), but she's come to like her room.

Eve's EGO ties in with previously mentioned religious breakdown as that quite literally wrecked her mentally and heavily contributed to her becoming the person she is inside the hotel. Don't have a name for it but it'd have to do with being forsaken by a higher power

I imagine an ID of hers or another EGO would be her entity form ehehehe (another thing I want to draw)

this is more a fun lil design note but Eve does not have eye shine like ever as a reference to the visible "deadness" of her eyes/mental health

she doesn't heavily manipulate the other sinners as heavily as she does Samuel, however this isn't to say she doesn't put on an act to get on their good sides. Eve is the type to throw herself in front of a blow that could have been easily avoided to "save someone" and "sacrifice herself" for them. She's used to a system of dying and being revived due to her time as an entity in the Hawthorne so it doesn't disturb her at all lmao
